I never mean any bad criticism wherever it may be seen. I'm sorry if I offended any professional artists out there, or people who really look forward to the other spin-offs, or heck, opponents to my Fang/Sharon idea. I just hoped I could get these ideas out of my head and hope they would get through somehow. Isn't that what this room is about?

ED SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! It was Doug Elder at four this morning who asked people to refrain from asking
stupid questions. Not you. Again SORRY!

Again, there are no stupid questions. Just people seeking clarification on things. Just because you might know the answer,it doesn't mean everyone does.

Gets off soap box and packs it away.

Speaking for the artists of TGS, a lot of times we don't get a full description for an illustration. The pic of Sharon, for example, had a very thorough description of her mutation but absolutely nothing on her wardrobe. Unless a specific scene is sent with the pic request, most artists don't go hunting around through a story looking for it. This is pretty much how it works in the publishing industry as well. (I should know; I've worked as a professional artist for over 15 years.) Take a look at the covers of some of the paperbacks on your shelf. I'll bet you'll find one or two minor nits from the author's descriptions. The main purpose of illustration is not copy a story, but rather to enhance it and give the reader a vivid image.

That's why it's called "artistic license!"

I think Ragnarok is just the title of the season premiere.
Just a little comment on the pictures: Sure, they look good, but they're not very accurate sometimes. Like this pic of Sharon, for instance; she was wearing a blue dress with ripped sleeves, last I read, and I doubt she'd change after her transformation (no pun intended). And the pic of Hudson and Agmennemon in "Pilgrimage"; does Hudson really have white hair yet? It said in the Dark Ages premiere that it was blond and turning white! I don't mean any bad criticism, I just wish the artists would pay attention to the characters' descriptions more often.

Ed - I have to disagree about the question "Why do people think of gargoyles as demons?" as being a stupid question. There are no stupid questions. Sometimes its hard to get your thoughts together without some form of feed back to either back your own opiions, or to show you a new track for your ideas. I have found that ignorance can be corrected,
but stupidity often is terminal. You can learn something new, but doing stupid things can get you killed.
By the way, Webtv does have a lot little disadvantages, one is there is not cursor to drag the
screen with, *sigh*, but it does give me web access
and e-mail at my own home instead of a free hour at the Library and no e-mail. I also have very bad vision with high correction so intense colors tend to
hurt my eyes. I used to love all those neon colors of
the 60's but now they hurt my eyes.
Raganorok is from Norse mythology (I did learn something from all my Thor comics). It means the end
of the world. Interesting working series title for the new season. Are they going to run every episode at a high peak to give us peaks and valleys so we dont get to hyper.
My two cents - Starsinger

To the TGS artists:
You've done a great job showing the similarities between Richard and George. They're just as I pictured them when I read the stories. Likewise with Maddoc looking like a blood relative, a brother, to Oberon through similar features. Aslo, Angela in the picture for Prophets and Angels looks like a daughter of Demona in your Comment Room picture. The drawings make their features more likeable as delicate features than the TV series' more angular depiction. I like yours much more. I also commpliment you on your picture of Brooklyn's family. The kids do look like they are biologically related to BOTH parents. Nice blend. I think you have accomplished what you sought after in all those pieces. WELL DONE!

Lady Mystic: Well put. But I still believe that if TGS is designed to continue with the feel of Gargoyles it should not be taking such liberties where it is unnecessary.

As for maturity, IMHO it depends what it is you believe it is to be mature. So what you do that makes you mature, in both your own views and those of other people. And having those views in one way you can be mature.

Fire Storm: TGC wasn't destroyed by the censors alone. It could have done many more things and made itself as good as the first series, before it had to go and start arguing with the censors (or S&P).

At the end of the day the writers are doing an incredibly job. They make the choices, and while I don't agree with every single thing that is done, I do agree with most of it. Just like the original series, in fact.

Jackal, I didn't mean that the Timedancer episodes left me feeling lost at the end of each episode. I meant I felt lost because of the lack of tieing the episodes together. One episode starts and you have to assume that there was a whole lot of skipped jumps TGS decided to leave out. This is what made me feel lost- the lack of it feeling like a continueing adventure. Although, I just realized that The Avalon Travels was like that too. Even then I was uncomfortable with the idea. It seem too much like anonymous adventures, like it does now. I hope Season 2: Ragnorak clears this up.

I like it that TGS says they will clean loose ends in Season 2. This give us much to await. So if you think about it, what we see as mistakes can very well be intentional. Hmmm.

BTW, that quote I posted is my quote. I didn't get it from someone else. The end part: "...We're all different. And that's what makes us the same." is something I've beleived in for years. One of my many philosophies. Now that I think on it, it fits into the Gargoyle philosophy quit well. Amazing :)

Sorry, I forgot to say:
For maturity how's this: "When I saw "THE DARK CRYSTAL" (my most favorite movie above all else), I was only 3. Even then I underatood, almost clearly, the complex epic material, the plot, the theme, and the emotional content. I understood the story so much that my memories of it are still with me to this day. Everytime I see it, it's the same awe I have when the story ends today as it was when I was still too young to understand such things. I guess that's why I dream and write epics. As I grew older I began to realize that I wasn't the only or rare mature one my age, that there was a lot of others like me. So therefore I was as mature as they were. There is no such thing as "mature for my age". You could be more mature in some aspects and less mature at others. It all equals out. Maturity is also immeasurable. We're all different. And that's what makes us the same." -by: Lady Mystic

Queen Tanika: When I was your age, even younger, I thought I was more mature for my age too. I sometimes believe that about now, not often though. But really, are we? There are so many people who believe that. So is it really what we beleive, that we're mature for our age, or is it that everyone is as mature as everyone else their age. (Sometimes with a few exceptions.) I'm sure there are a lot out there that are "mature for their age", but then there's so many so they're really not mature for their age. They're like everyone else, average.

Tigron: That's just it, the idea of seperate shows is to center on specific characters, and it gets more episodes in. If everything was in one big major series, then we would get lost on where other stories that center around other characters fit in. If all the stories were in one series, TGS would have to keep backtracking in new episodes dealing with events happening at the same time. With seperate series, they can have numerous events taking place at once, AND have the same characters in each series. They already do this (ie, Gargoyles Main Story and Pendragon, as the easiest to point out). I like the idea of seperate, yet connected series. It's original and TGS does a great job doing it. I think they should keep it up, with the curent episodes and with ones in the future.

The name of the girl George got pregnant is Quinn. What's Ragnarok mean?

My opinion on the topic of violence (and swearing)and sexual content is still unmoved by all you commenting on too much of it. I believe the TGS Staff may have wanted to continue things in Greg's footsteps, but it's not as though they're not. Greg was the creator. He got our minds flowing with ideas. So he was like a teacher. US therefore being the students. TGS continued where their teacher left them, but aren't students supposed to surpass their teachers? I think TGS does that. Besides, they said they'd follow in his footsteps, not be clones of him. Let them be individualistic. <<...Personally, I don't feel things like that detract from the continuation at all. -Jackal>> I agree.

I like the way EVERYTHING'S heading in all the TGS episodes. Great job TGS Staff. I hope you don't let this show die like Disney did.

I have a comment on all of the anti-violence and sex:
If we ask the writers to censor TGS too much, it will turn back into the Goliath Chronicles. Now, we don't want that, do we? Totally PC, with a morale in each story? I don't think so. If we let the writers be and let them continue the fine job thier doing, the series will progress nicely. Hound them too much, and they will either quit or mess up, totally change the format to try and please everyone, and permantly kill the series.

(Doug appears in a puff of smoke and lots of coughing echoes throughout the room as he fans it away before stating his opinion)
More stuff to say:
1. Fan Ages- This dude is 19, and in the prime of his life (or so he currently believes).
2. Liz- Thanks for reminding me about another minor character I enjoyed seeing, The Eldil! Yes, she has disappeared and yes, I want to see her again, too. Where the hell is she? I'd at least like an ep where she finds out Lex is a gargoyle. Then maybe she'll get magical powers, a weird friend, go garg...wait, I'm getting her mixed up with the love interest Lex met over the Net in Christine's world. I think that one is more intriguing, though, if only because I've seen more of Aiden than I have (or probably will) of Liz. Who says Goliath has to be the only one to have an interspecies relationship? No one I know of! Lex seemed happy with Liz, and vice versa! I hope the TGS staff reunites them soon.
3. Clifford- okay, Todd, I see your point. My answer for you is as follows: some people see gargs as not being demons because a) they actually think when forming their opinions and don't just assume stuff based on what others have told them, b) they start out thinking the gargs are bad news and eventually learn different from experiences with gargs, c) the gargs rescue them from some bad situation and after that a good relationship develops, d) they form their opinions based on personal expriences and feelings rather than anger and stupid assumptions. That's what I think the reasons are, and all are good ones! Likewise, I'm sure a lot of the show's characters follow anger and stupid assumptions and think gargs are demons, eg Margo Yale. But there's got to be more to Clifford's feelings towards gargoyles than just anger and stupid assumptions. I mean, think about it. When most intelligent people look at those old Gothic demon paintings, they assume the demons within are not real. When confronted with the reality of gargoyles, they don't automatically assume the gargs are demons and launch a campaign to kill them all. At least, all the show's intelligent villian characters I know of wouldn't, and I do count Clifford among the smart villians. I think his reasons for hating gargoyles go beyond thinking they're demons. Just like the reasons for Castaway, George, and Madoc hating them. I think there's something personal involved for Clifford, too. I hope the TGS staff soon tells us what it is. In the meantime, please refrain from asking stupid questions like "Why do some people believe gargoyles aren't demons?" I think all us fans know the answer to that: Because they're not, and some people actually cared enough to form their opinions based on personal exprience and the truth rather than anger, stupid assumptions, and a pack of lies told by authority figures and manipulators with personal agendas. More power to the people like that!!
That's all I have to say!! See y'all next time!
(Doug tries to summon the smoke again so he can vanish in it, and the machine won't work. Cursing, he waves to his Uncle William, who blows smoke from a Morley over him. Doug then uses that smoke to cover his escape, while Uncle William heads back to the set of "The X-Files").

Liz: Yeah, I thought Liz was a pretty neat character too. I liked her.

A suggestion to those that can't read bright colours: It might not work on all comps/versions of Netscape/whatever but try dragging the mouse over the annoying section of text and it makes it much clearer to see.

Tigron: I don't know, but I *assume* the problem is that since Gorebash had to set up the CR, and if the 'add comment' boxes needed changing, he'd have to return every few seconds.

I'm among the youngest. I'm 14.

AoTN: I assume as soon as the new season does.

Vashkoda & Laudre: I believe that the targeted age group they *needed* to reach was 6-11. Beyond that, they tried to make a show that could appeal to as many people as possible.

Tanika: Agree with the colour scheme suggestions.

Tigron: Hmm… yeah, but it would be that or the Labyrinth cell.

In answer to the request for one's age: 45. I started fanzines with the original Star Trek universe. I remember fighting my Mom over ST or Hawaii Five O. I won.
In response to the request for bright colors, I have
a problem reading that really intense blue you favor.
It's very hard on my eyes and so far it's the only color I have problems with. A few shades lighter and
I can read It perfectly. With that shade of blue, however, I sometimes must print the screen in order to read it.

We were invited to play in the TGS universe by the
staff. I have read about Clan Manhattan and Rose.
I like your story line, it's different. Please keep
up the good work. Your version of Grahme and Ariane
seem to be a bit older and not so inclined to fight
each other at the drop of a bo.
And yes Lady Mysti I did check you site for the full

Gargoyles: I'd definitly have to go with Garlon. This guy is pretty cool considering he's only a hired thug.

Pendragon: I'm rather fond of Morgana Le Fay.

Dark Ages: This is a hard choice. Ther are a lot of new charicters I love in this series, Asriel, Brother Edmond, Atalanta... But in the end, just beating Therites. I d say that Roland comes out on top. Just beating Therites

First thing I have to say: I just found TGS in February, after discovering the *Gargoyles* reruns on USA Network, and have been a loyal reader ever since. Originally just GARGOYLES, but I have grown a liking to TIMEDANCER, as well. I am waiting with bated breath for the new season.

I didn't catch the name of who it was, but someone on this board suggested that folks write TGS fanfics until the new season begins. (To whoever made that suggestion, I apologize for not knowing who you are, my machine is a 386 that tends to crash if I let a page load for too long, so I was only able to make a quick glance at your message.) Not only do I agree that this is a good idea, I've been putting some on the Web for the last couple of months. (Okay, they're not technically TGS fanfics, but they do include Graeme and Ariana.) As far as I've seen, I'm the only one who's done this so far. Anybody else wanna? I don't want to be all alone on this!

That's all I wanted to say. If you're suffering from TGS withdrawal, follow my link!

I'm not very keen on this idea to put the bad guys into a seperate spin-off. I just wanted Fang to be brought back in a TGS episode, not cut-and-pasted into a whole other section where I'd have to search through all the other stories just to check on him! You must realize that we can't always read the different series in conjunction with each other, which we'd have to do if the characters in a series were segregated like this. If the bad guys need to learn how to reform, they need to do it with the good guys, like Demona and Jason did. I know this is kinda like throwing rocks at a tidal wave, but if you ask me, I think this new spin-off is a bad idea from day one.

Hey, all.

LADY MYSTIC: I'm towards the lower end of the fandom as far as age, I'm fifteen and a sophomore in high school (at least for another two weeks :) . When the show started, I was one of the few fans who was close to the target age group -- I think I was 11? 1994, that's right. (But I'm probably different from most fifteen-year-olds you know, if you know any; I've always been a little mature for my age.)

I just have a small observation about this room -- I think it would look nicer if the link colors matched the overall red-gold-violet color scheme of the TGS site instead of the green and gray. Just a suggestion.

Hmm, I don't guess I have any other TGS-related comments. Ah, well.

What I wanted to say was that I never really seen Demona as a villain, I mean think about, did she really have an intension on "dooms day virus"? "..Thanks to the power of the praying gargoyle." That's like saying "This is how you can stop me from doing this.." I don't think Demona's a villan....

Wait, wait, before anyone else gives me grief about this, let me explain- <<Judging by the content of the show, I don't think 3-11 was the targeted age group...>> I sure some of you are thinking, "Hey, you gotta 4 year old son, how you gonna say that?" What I choose to let my child see is my own affair. There's alota good moral stuff that can be learned from "Gargoyles", of course i don't expect my son to understand the complex story line, but he sees who does right and who does wrong. And he as asked more questions about "Gargoyles" than any other show he's watched, he's obliviously interested. It delveops the mind better than any power ranger could!!!

Now, I could give an answer to this, but I don't anyone thinking I'm any stranger than they already do...

Ah, my first TGS CR post!

Pics> Wow, there's a large selection, here. How come the ones that pop up in the comment add box aren't all there on the "view pics" page? Is there really a new pic of Hollywood? I hope so.

Fang and Dingo> Yes, it would be interesting to see these two back in action. I think it's going to be hard for TGS *not* to have them go the route Greg planned and form a redemption squad. The Bad Guys plot just seems like the natural next step.

Fan Ages> Well I'm 22. I know a lot of fans are in their college years, and I know quite a few who are in their mid-teens and thirties. Heh, wasn't the targeted age group of the show 3-11 or somthing? ;) Then again, I don't think fans that age would have much net access.

TGS staff protection> Hey, I was wondering, you who are on the staff, how you protect yourselves from accidenally stumbling upon suggested plots and ideas in here. These original ideas are fairly well intermixed with the praise and questions in the posts. Should we start leaving signs to warn you off?

Okay, well that's a long enough post for now. Laters all!

TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE:
If it's not an intrusionn of privacy, how old are you Gargoyles and TGS fans? You don't have to be specific. But it would help.
For any of you asking, I (Lady Mystic) am 19, going to be 20 in the fall. Fire Storm is 20, going to be 21 in the fall.
If you have a question why I'm asking I'll explain. Your age does sometimes explain the content of your questions. And I was just wondering where I fit into the age group of TGS and Gargoyles fans.

Of course, the TGS crew haven't revealed anything, but I wouldn't put anything past them having seen how they evilly ended the Gargoyles & Pendragon seasons just as the Rising begins. :)

A word of advice for posters: Please use the bright colors. They're easier to read against a black background.

Why does Robert Clifford think that gargoyles are demons? It's the easiest conclusion in the world to jump to. In medieval art, demons often have gargoyle features. Also, many people would find that turning to stone in the daytime business highly suspicious. When you stop to think it over, the real question isn't: "why do people like Clifford think that gargoyles are demons?" but rather "how is it that some people have managed to understand that gargoyles aren't demons?"

Alright, who cut all this out?

(j) The Star People- Alright, what the heck is this group that has the symbol of a seven-pointed star? They like the Illuminati? In competition with or opposition to it? Either would be intriguing. I hope we soon find out. k) Roland- This guy I have to see more of. He's a very good character. The other DA villians are either too familiar (Archmage), too generic (Archbishop), or too difficult to understand (that Edward guy); Roland actually has a past. I would like to see more of all of them, but Roland especially. Maybe there could even be a revised "Awakenings" with a certain shadowy masked garg involved...
4. Other minor characters- a) Richard- Yes, let's see more of him. Yes, he should end up with the girl George got pregnant. Not to mention an ep where George finds out he has a kid would be intriguing. I would like to see Richard raise the kid, though. He'd make a MUCH better father. Not that Madoc would give George any paternity leave, anyway. b) Sarah- Since the QM broke up, she's been absent. Let's bring this good character back, eh, TGS staff? She had great potential as a garg friend. c) Sharon- Yes, let's get more eps with her. I also want to see more of Dr. Goldblum's work on trying to reverse what happened to the mutates. And the Kimura Yakuza clan also make interesting replacements for Dracon as crime-lord type villians. I'd like to see them all a lot more. d) Rory- Yes, he should join Arthur's new Round Table. Along with the Bad Guys group, MacBeth, the Manhattan and Ichimura clans, Taurus, that kid from "Golem" and his pet statue, Nokkar, and the Avalon gargs. They would all fit well together, and I'd definitely like to see all these characters in future eps. e) Lapin- I hope we see him more as well. Having a fay always there to help the TimeDancer was a good idea. Having him turn out to be Harvey the Rabbit was even better. I also think there should be some kind of bad Unseelie pooka to counterbalance him, maybe a snake.
5. All in all, good start to TGS. I have a few complaints, but they've already been voiced by me or someone else. I hope TGS will pick up all the loose ends next season. If not, they'll be leaving us wanting on a lot of the Gargoyles story. Nobody wants that to happen, right? But, anyway, TGS staff, keep up the good work!!
(Doug bows deeply, then gets back in his chopper and flies off to Washington, planning to lobby Congress _again_ to give him the right to take out the Ayatollahs and Saddam (rhymes with Adam) Hussein so that Khatami can unite Iran and Iraq and create more peace in the Mid-East. Then he'll worry about taking out certain Russian crazy Neo-Nazi people before they kill anyone else).

"Remember, bad things are a fact of life and can never really be gotten rid of. We must instead try to deal with them, building our character on these challenges life throws our way and letting the bad justify our good. After all, it is our failures and hardships, as much as our triumphs and strengths, that make us who we are and the world what it is. We must also remember the spice bad stuff brings to life. There is no good without evil, and without either, life would be boring as hell."

Things I must say:
1. My feelings on TD: I have a premonition that there will be many fill-in-the-gaps-episodes in Season 2 of this series. They'll give the whole deal behind Meryt, the scroll Prometheus gave Brooklyn, that magic guy and dragon lady (we must see them again, if only to learn their names!), who the hell the guy Brooklyn is supposed to help get big power in the world is (FOTS, the sorcerer's master), etc. The series will continue with the Kali problem, Brooklyn and Sata meet Kodiak and Portia, etc., but fill-in-the-gaps episodes should happen as well, so they can finish the stories they started.
2. The Unseelies- cool villians! Madoc is just a guy everyone can love to hate, Maeve is the quintessional bitch queen, and Umbriel is good as an Unseelie with a conscience. I'm also glad they're adding famous bad fay to the mix like Loki and Discord (I think that Goth chick in "The Tain" might be her). Good motivation for them all, too. They want to conquer the world, prophecy says human-garg alliance will stop them, so they fund garg anti-bias and extermination down through the millenia to try and prevent that from happening. I wonder how long it will take them to remember history is immutable, hate only breeds hate, etc. For Madoc and Mavis, probably never.
3. Other bad guys: Every new bad guy they've made so far in TGS, I want to see again. Here are possible scenarios I think would work great: a) Clifford returns at the head of an ultra-religious anti-garg theocratic cult. I can easily see him involved in something like this. I'd also like to know something about him, though. Why does he think gargs are demons? What's the deal behind that guy? This thread needs to be explored. b) Garlon- What's the deal with him, too? I know he's not a Halfling or an Unseelie, really. He's an excellent character, and who he really is needs to be explored. I know he was a bad guy in Arthurian times, but I have the feeling there's more to him than that. An origin ep centered around this guy, how he got to be Madoc's thug, etc., would be great. c) Fang and Robyn- Well, they've both escaped prison, gone AWOL, maybe they could hook up. Then throw in Dingo, Yamo, Matrix, and that other guy who was supposed to be in Bad Guys (forget who), and we'd have another cool team in the saga! d) Coldsteel- I want to see this guy! I love Iago as a villian, and now that he's in a T-1000 meets Doc Oc robot bod, he could be really dangerous. He might also function well if Madoc gave him a few upgrades and added him to the Ultra-Pack. But the TGS staff seems to be forgetting the whole Cold-Trio thread. Hope they pick it up soon. e) George- Great villian! Let's see more of him. Also more of Richard! That guy has to be my favorite garg-friend after Elisa, Matt, and Mr. X. f) The sorcerer and dragon lady from FTOS- bring these two back! How was Brooklyn involved with them before? Who's their master and how is Brooklyn involved with him? What are their names? The TGS staff better tie up these threads in Season 2. g) Kali- The demon inside the Phoenix Gate. I can see so many possibilities for this villian. I mean, it's not much of a character, but an ep where it gets complete control of the gate and keeps putting Brook and Sata in really dangerous time periods where in every case they barely come out alive would be pretty cool. Imagine- your only way home trying to kick your ass. Hehehe. h) Duval- Like everyone, I want to know his past, and who he really is. But more than that, I would like to see more of the Society in general. An origin ep on it would be neat. I'm in the process of writing an Illuminati-origins story myself, but of course my Society is different from TGS's! i) Darien Montrose- This guy I like, he's a good villian with lots of possibilities. An excellent thread to tie all the various villians (Demona, Madoc, Duval, the Star People) together, excellent character. I hope to see more of him in times to come. j) The Star People- Alright, what the heck is this group that has the symbol of a seven-pointed star? They like the Il

<<For that person asking about the twins' ages...>>
Was their age stated in the series and I just missed it? Thank you for tellin me anyway!
<<It is not as though the stories get down to an X-rated version... their manner of displaying this fact of life- SEX- is acceptable and neccessary.>>
I agree with this, espeially for this speices on the verge of extinction, ya know, It's not like their givin themselves away freely, it's an expression of love that they feel for each other...
<<...if you look at it, this stuff isn't made for children. The way the stories go on TV are too complex and too grown-up for children.>>
This is another thing I agree with, I've always seen "Gargoyles" like an animated version of the "X-Files". I'm 21 years old, I have a 4 year old son, and a 3 month old daughter.., When "Gargoyles" was on TV, I taped most of the shows, I started to let my son see "Gargoyles" when he turned 3. Yes, it did scare him at frist, but eventually he got the idea that the "monsters" were good guys. Just recently he asked me about the Archmage, "That old guy" in his words..., He didn't understand the concept of the Archmage travelling back in time to save himself. Although, I did try to explain it to him..., ya know when your kids don't get something...
<<Timedancer. Is it just me or do some of you feel lost?>>
I'm thinking Greg took a liking to "Quantum Leap", and gave Brooklyn that same fate. I loved "Quantum Leap" when it was on TV, at the end of every episode I was like.. "Uhh." And I wanted more. Timedancer gives me this same feeling, I guess I liked being "teased"....

In my case, what I'm desperately waiting for is the return of Fang. I mean, we haven't seen hide nor hair of him since he went awol in, "Turncoat", was it? He's gotta be hiding out somewhere, and I really want to find out what happens to him. He could become a good guy again; he was getting used to the idea for a while; but the journey there probably won't be easy.
Anyway, whatever you writers plan to do with him is fine, but I'd really like to see him get a crush on Sharon, who he hasn't seen yet as a mutate. I mean, he'll probably think the kid's got guts having taken the serum herself. And those slanted, amber cat-eyes have gotta be like nothing he's ever seen before. That's just a little taste of what he'd see in her, but I doubt she'll want to latch onto him just yet, given their previous contact.
I hope you take my suggestion, TGS writers, and bring Fang back to us.

Lady Mystic: I'm just questioning whether it's appropriate to something that is meant to be continuing where Greg left off, as that sort of stuff would not have gotten on the show. Where it's necessary I have no problem whatsoever. But where it is unnecessary… I think it's trying to take liberties from what TGS claims to try to aspire to. Nothing wrong with that, but by stepping over that line, it's become something different. Not necessarily anything better or worse. Just different. And I agree with all the rest of your stuff.

Mandi: Yeah, I always liked the idea of the crew that the Avalon four met (Including CuChullain, possibly Nassilane etc) joining with Arthur. CuChullain being the obvious one.

OK, bye… that Madoc pic soooo makes me want to say 'he took his vorpal sword in hand, longtime the manxome foe he sought…' Of course I'm thinking of Madoc with the manxome description, while he also holds the vorpal sword… hey, those are the same colours as the Ultra-Pack and (more or less) Maeve. Is that some kind of unseelie colour code or something? Or just coincidence? Or does Madoc just like red and black? :)

Well, hello to all you fellow gargoryles and fairy folk at heart. Congradulations to the TGS writers, artists, and story concept creators. You've done an exceptional job. To all you Gargoryles and TGS fans: stay strong and loyal to the end of your days.

Now, past the introduction:
I'd like to compliment the TGS staff on your hard work. You've done a great job incorporating historical, cultural and mythical facts and tidbits into an imagined storyline. I compliment you on you're research. There's a lot there. Even as to what a specific place looks like in present day and in the past. You also do a great job sorting out which myths TGS will follow. For example The Arthurian Legends. There are so many versions out there on every little detail it's hard for anyone to peice together a truly beleiveable story. I beleive the legends, I'm not saying it's all false or that it's a bunch of lies. I'm just saying it's hard to see what fits together and what was altered over time. You know MYTH means stories handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth- through stroytelling. Majority of what we got today writen down came from people telling other people gossip and imaginary stories. What was true got tainted by people embellishing or changing little parts (many times because they just couldn't remember a part told to them, or time fogged their memory, so they improvised). So I congradulate you TGS staff on your peiceing together of broken history and messy myths. <enormous grin to fellow authors> I write myths, fantasy, sci-fi, and epics myself. So I know how difficult and complicated writing can get. Keep it up.

BTW, when and how did Griff and Arthur find out what happened to Brooklyn (his being a Timedancer)? When Pendragon starts it's way before Brooklyn even stopped acting as the defacto-leader in Golyath's place. Way before Timedancer. So how did Griff know when he mentions Arthur, himself, Rory, and Brooklyn becoming the Time Bandits music group? As for Dark Ages, it'd be nice to see more personal stories. TGS, you got some but not enough. Dark Ages can't be all adverntures and that's it, where is ordinary everyday situations. Same thing with Main Story. It's not completely beleiveable to see one adventure start up at the end of an old one (excluding the fae problems- that's understandable- and the Pendragon series- they're on an adventure, so it's natural). Put some little personal events in betwwen the big adventures.

Now, Timedancer. Is it just me or do some of you feel lost? There is too many breaks in between episodes and adventures.((I agree here. Five years in 1 season? <Fire Storm>)) The only way you get some of that skipped information is through Brooklyn's casual chit-chat with other people and himself. To mention one situation: how did Brooklyn and Sata learn each other's languages when the Gate stopped translating? When did they notice it? How did they cope with it? How long did it take them to learn each other's languages and are they still learning? That's just one situation, I have questions on more, but I'll leave this as an example. I can assume that they know a lot about each other's custums, because Brooklyn show signs of understanding Sata's culture. And Sata shows signs of understanding Brooklyn's, because she doesn't ask as many questions about his knowledge or his habits as much anymore.

To you people complaining about the adult content:
Why are you complaining? The violence is basically the same as the TV series. You're just affraid of a more detailed description, or of the fact the it's in words instead of visual images. The action in the TV series was reaching anime action, which can get quite violent. The action in the TGS series is not that bloody. You sound like you're comparing it to the Crusades. An action event written in words can be the same as one seen on TV, but what scares (or is it ticks off) you is that the written word gives a closer point of view. I think the TGS writers do just fine, if not great on that point.

Now the sexual content. I'm assuming we're all adults here. We can handle this stuff and talk freely enough about it without getting flustered, giggly, and shy. So deal with it. The sexual content in most places is neccessary. Even if it wasn't would the stories really seem as good if sex wasn't mentioned? Sex is a part of life, it's also a fact of life. I think it is good that it's included. How else could some of the things happen without you knowing through the sex being mentioned? Would you beleive Brooklyn and Sata having those kind of feelings for each other? We wouldn't even be guessing if Sata was pregnant yet if it wasn't for the pool scene, right? We'd have to assume, but we'd never really know for sure. It's crucial. It's vital to the story. And it's not as if the TV series didn't have sexual content. Of course it did. Like Constantine's lust for Princess Catherine; Fox's and Xanatos' open affection for each other; even the frequent mention of mates and mating. I know there's more. Furthermore, TGS stories don't even specifically mention sex, just the suggestion that it took place. Like in the pool scene in The Promise. It only gave the suggestion of the fact that the had on intamate connection (sex). It is not as though the stories get down to an X-rated version of what goes on. They are quite editted in my opinion. I'm not saying I want more detail on this topic in the episodes. No. I'm saying their manner of displaying this fact of life- SEX- is acceptable and neccessary. I compliment TGS staff on their way of handling it. BTW- isn't the who concept of the show Gargoyles, whether it be on TV or on the computer, rather adultish. I mean if you look at it, this stuff isn't made for children. The way the stories go on TV are too complex and too grown-up for children. The only reason that it didn't have sexual content is, not because it's Disney- I've seen Disney and Buena Vista adult stuff many times before- but because of the fact that it would have been unheard of for an animated show during that time slot and that young adults were watching, so they had to set some sort of example. And it's one thing to read about sexual stuff but another thing to see it in a show.

A few small things now. For that person asking about the twins' ages: they're 9 gargoyle years. What happened to the woman George get pregnant? Does she end up with Richard? I found them bumping into each other at the store where Richard works very important. Yeah, and what makes George allergic to caffine?
More later. ((Sorry. <Fire Storm>))
((I am sorry! I didn't know she would write THIS much! When she told me it would be long, I thought 1, maybe 2 pages worth, not 8-10 pages! What have I done! Well, she said she liked detail, didn't she? I just wrote the stuff in the double parentheses<Fire Storm>))

**comes back into comment room and gasps** Where's my post from this morning about Pendragon? $*%& you, Internet Explorer!!!

Yeah, this should teach me to post to a comment room at work...

Anyway, I think I really liked "The Tain" because it was one of a few Pendragon eps where the plot broke out what seemed to be a developing pattern: No flashbacks, no supernatural creature/occurrence of the week, and for once there wasn't a lot of Arthur's whining about the pointlessness of finding Merlin. It wasn't exactly whining, but I was getting tired of hearing Arthur bemoan the state of his quest.

And for once, the ep wasn't about Arthur. It was mostly Rory, from Rory's perspective, and did a lot to explain the repercussions of "The Hound of Ulster" that were never addressed (e.g. does anyone remember Molly, is Mr. Dugan going to find out, etc, etc.). I was glad the angst in this episode didn't come from Arthur for once.

Merlin: I know you said it'll be a while before Rory gets everything in order at home, but I hope it's not a long while. :) I just think Rory would make a good addition to the party of travelers; with Arthur so serious and Griff laid-back, Rory seems to be somewhere in the middle. And there's always potential for his indecision and refusal to actually change into Cu Chullain again, after what happened to Molly---illusion or not. Plus, his reaction to Merlin/Emrys might be fun.

Something else that ep seemed to imply, mainly in the appearance of Corbie, who I'm guessing will show up in the Rising--does that mean there are supposed to be Unseelie stirring up trouble in Northern Ireland? Might make an interesting episode and an excuse to bring Rory back into the picture. Although if she does show up in Ireland, Maeve just might be inclined to pick up that grudge match with her old enemy...gulp...

That's enough speculations. 20 minutes left of work! Whee!

Just a few SHORT comments:
Is there going to be a picture of Jackal and Hyena Pre-upgrade?
Are you going to add the Danzeth Atalanta picture?
Atalanta reminds me of Xena.

Tanika: Yeah… but as you point out you weren't suckered in completely. I don't know… Maddox just felt right for the series as Lex's ally. I never believed he was some one note good guy, or Mr. Perfect… but never evil. Perhaps that's why the first hint at his intentions did little to convince me.

Theresa: Oh! OK, thanks! :) Proteus having too much fun killing Demona over and over again??!! *laughs* Never thought of anyone trying to do that!

Todd: Not too much, and not major by a long way, but there was stuff in DA and one of the Gargs eps at least… can't remember which one…

Thomas: Heh. I had an idea for what TGS could have done for Greg's tale in the South Pole, and also tonnes of ideas regarding the New Olympians fitting into the mix. But I've got plenty of other ideas, which I haven't written, anyway, so I'm hardly lacking in fanfic ideas to busy myself with.

Flynt: Perhaps… I suppose if I were to see more it would be interesting… And a for Thailog… erm… how complimentary. :)

AotN: Hmmm… that reminds me… I forgot about Brother E. And I missed the QM and Castaway doing Gargs. :\ Daft, ain't I?

Brother Edmund: I liked him, although I wasn't massively keen on his 'journal' intros (although they made a lot more sense than TGC's babbling from nowhere). I liked the fact that he was given space to explore his character, and his curiosity and understanding of the gargoyles is good.

Castaway: Well handled. I liked… was it PARTNERSHIP? I can't remember the name… the one with Dracon. And I like the way he's forced himself to believe a false account of the events at St. Damien's on the night of the Hunter's Moon.

QM: By exploring a set group of QM, TGS have far evolved beyond the QM. Although I prefer the QM to the Phoenix Rising. But perhaps the PR are just there to show off Duval.

John Bibb: TD developed too fast? It was almost a whole season before Brook met Sata. If it's 10 years to a season that's probably… 8, 9 years he's had? I mean, if they want their kids in time for the gargoyles season, they'd have to meet fairly soon. And I think the problem is TD didn't really 'develop'. It continued. Until we met Sata.

DumlaoX: Madoc??? YAY!! Not Maddox, but same person! Sort of… just different form. And why the oops? You already revealed Madoc was Maddox :)

Fire Storm and Lady Mystic: Lex improving himself with cybernetics wasn't a decision he made. He was forced into it. Of course he didn't know that, and it was that or die, but it shouldn't have been that way. Although I suppose we're much warier of the results thanks to FT. And I'm not complaining, for one. There are things that I don't always agree with that I'll mention but I'm still rather gobsmacked that the crew do sooooo much… and to such a high standard. :)

Christi: Yes, I noticed that a while ago…

BTW, The Weird Sisters is typoed on the pic list :) And I canne see Madoc either… oh, well- let's see now… Eh, I canne find him!! Do you mean this? :|

Hi again!

Wow more pics up. The artwork is really exceptional!

Todd- sorry about the confusion. I asked about Coldstone. Yes his appearance in the main Gargoyles stories as Coldstone as opposed to Othello in Dark Ages. I tent to treat the two as seperate characters due to their differing cicumstances.
Atalanta as Laura San Giacomo?!?! :;laughs:: I'm not sure how to take that (I drew her).

Apollo- Yep thats exactly right. Thailog is just like the old Xanatos. Worse in fact. Mr X would at least draw the line if his plan threatened to endager "his" city. Thailog couldn't care less who he trod on to get his way.

CHRISTI - I've noticed that too. In fact, the TGS comment room has already received more traffic than the Station 8 comment room as of Friday morning, and it was started up a day after the Station 8 comment room. That's amazing, I'd say. (And very encouraging, too).

Have you noticed this room is getting almost more action than the regular comment room? Cool, huh?

Mary> Yes, Quinn Ramsey will be making a reappearance next season. Look for her and the Harrison brothers in "When The Bough Breaks."

Regarding the Changling factor and allergies: Like Garlon said in "Consequences", "Everything has its price." There's a down side for George and the other Halflings (as the TGS staff has come to call the humans who underwent Maddox's genetic enhancement). Power has a price and they are still too dazzled by the glamor of it all to see what they've truly given up for it. Like regular people, each Halfling had a different reaction to the Changling Factor. Remember "The Little Mermaid" who had to give up her voice in exchange for what she wanted? Well, this is very similar. The caffeine allergic is something unique to George. I always saw him as one of those 'rush-rush-on the go all the time' people who lived on caffeine. (Believe me, I've known many people like this in my time!) He needed a funny little quirk to make him a little less perfect. Some of the other Halflings may share this allergy; some may have entirely different problems. That's the fun part of writing something entirely new like TGS!

As the author of "Quest's End", I'd better say a little about Rory's exclusion from the story.

Part of the problem was that "The Tain" was one of those stories whose writing really went down to the line; I honestly wasn't certain whether we'd get it finished in time to be released this season or not. And so it seemed safer to me to leave Rory out of "Quest's End", and all references to "The Tain" as well, to be on the safe side. After we did release "The Tain", I thought of inserting a couple of references to it in "Quest's End", but didn't get around to it. (Also, I honestly didn't have a strong grasp on Rory's character, and we'd decided in general that Rory wouldn't be immediately able to follow Arthur anywhere; he had some things to wrap up at home first). So most of the confusion is my fault, based on the fact that I honestly didn't know if we would be able to release "The Tain" this season or delay it until Season Two.

COLDSTONE - We've already shown him in TGS; he crops up a few times in "Dark Ages" (including my own "Perspectives"). No, wait! You mean in the main cycle! Never mind.

ATALANTA - Is it just me, or does her pic look a bit like Laura San Giocamo (the actress who did the voice of Fox)?

Tanika, you're not alone on the Rory thing. As Merlin will tell you, yours truly pestered the TGS staff for over a week before getting a coherent answer from Merlin (Todd didn't know what I was talking about, apparently.) But I'm not the only one who had a big problem with that! Whee!

Well, I not only read the stories on screen and write a few of my own, BUT I also am in the process of printing all of the stories out (Sorry old growth forests, but I want to read my TGS! <G> ;), My girlfriend also reads them, we discuss them, she draws pictures, we figured out the gestation periods, AND besides reading the stories on my desktop, I purchased 2 Compaq palmtop computers AND 2 20meg pcmcia cards to hold the stories! Also, I am curently in the process of copying all of the episodes (Starting with the Mirror and Future Tense beacuse I REALLY like puck!) on to movie CD-ROM.
(Top that! <G>)
(This just goes to show that not all of the people who read these stories do so alone. Some people actually do talk about these stories in the real world. I conclude this commentary to get back to the cyber-world that gave me life)

As far as Lex goes, whats so wrong about improving yourself with Cybernetics? I think that it will bring about a new part of the human culture.

Also, don't complain about how the series is going. Just go with the flow and enjoy the fine work of these dedicated fans who write the series.

To the writers:
Besides doing a great work on the fiction, I must compliment you on the great deal of research you must be doing to be so historically and culturally accurate.

As far as the chart on the gestation times, I will post it as soon as I can find it.

And finally, has anyone here seen the Beauty and the Beast Enchanted Christmas movie? Anyone else notice how the fae form of the old lady that changes the prince into the beast sounds a awful lot like the wierd sisters?

Man, you don't go to the TGS site for a few days, and this comment room shows up, and is already filled with reading material!!!

Anyway, I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in about favorite characters and series...

Gargoyles: Hmm..... I'd have to say Nicholos Maddox. He was truely a GREAT villan! I remember waiting and waiting for the truth about him to be reveald... and what a revelation it was! I am EAGERLY awaiting the next season...

Pendragon: I like Morgana the best (I seem to like the villains for some reason...). Of course, she seems to be a clone of Demona at times...... But Demona ain't a bad character either!

Dark Ages: Definatly Roland (I know, another vilain!). Am I the only one who was reminded of the Phantom of the Opera (one of my favorite stories and musicals, btw)? Deformed at birth, wears a mask, kidnaps the one he admires, blames everything on his ugliness.... I almost picture Michal Crawford (the original cast Phantom in the Webber musical) playing his char.

TimeDancer: Well, there aren't a lot of reoccuring characters in this series, so I think I'll do "Favorite Episode" here instead..... I think my favorite ep here was "Games Without Frontiers", partially because I like science fiction. Nice continuity with Commander Bluestone!

Let's see, favorite series..... I'd have to say Gargoyles. It had the fastest development in my opinion..... Dark Ages didn't get interesting until Thre Prince of Thieves showed up, Pendragon was mostly flashbacks for a long time, and for a long time after that it was in hiatus, and TimeDancer lacked a continuity... Also, Sata was introduced too soon in TimeDancer. By the time she showed up, he'd been timedancing for years... I would have liked to see some more stuff in those years. While Pendragon and Dark Ages developed too slow, one could say TimeDancer developed too fast.

Well, that's enough ranting for my first post in here. I'll rant more later/

Asrial's a good charcter, Thersites is *very* funny (I laughed so hard when Desdemona left him with Iago in PERSPECTIVES), and I'm curious to find when Demona will see a what a bad guy the Archmage is. The start of the second Gargoyles Saga season in October seems a long way off, doesn't it...?

All those new stories, waiting to see what happens to your favorite characters, all the new situations...

The waiting can be _unbearable_, can't it...?

Well, we do have a solution...

Write your own TGS Fanfic!

Yes, the TGS staff hereby invites all interested parties to write their own fanfiction based off of the TGS universe!

Be warned... the TGS Staff will _NOT_ (let me repeat that: NOT!) be reading these. Just like Greg, we don't want to be accused of stealing someone's storyline. However, it does allow you to put your own (albeit unofficial) contribution to the TGS universe.

The Gargoyles Saga has greatly expanded the realm and characters of Gargoyles. Write something about the past in the Dark Ages. Show one of the unknown trips of the TimeDancer. Increase the legend of the Once and Future King in Pendragon.

Cheers!

SWEARING - Was there really any swearing in TGS? I certainly don't recall any.

Come to think of it, there were a few things in "Pendragon" besides Merlin's illegitimacy that would have been Standards and Practices nightmares. Uther's lust for Igraine in "The Goddess of Winter", Lancelot and Guinevere's adultery, things like that. But I imagine that you get some leeway when you deal with the classics.

Poor Ed. He gets a compliment for including his website URL and doesn't realize it. I still love you. Two more stories to read. I will get back to you on them.
When I first read about Maddox in Partnership, I could could feel "trouble". (Empaths are like that
you know.) By the way is that a LackeyElf trait the
being allergic to caffeine bit or have I missed some
sort of documentation about that. Poor George. No
morning coffee and somehow I doubt Maddox lets his
employees have coffee breaks.
A lot of people consider Proteus to be a "Been there.
Done that." villian. Has anyone every considered the
fact that a shapeshifter, especially, a halfling, to
have an inherently unstable mental outlook. He is after all a murderer, just ask Taurus about his father. Maybe a team up with Demona. May not work of course. He'd probably have too much fun killing
Demona over and over and over again. I tend to like
the unstable villians because of the fact they are so
unpredicatable.
I do check out the links that so many of you have put
in with your comments. There are sooooo many Gargoyle sites out there. I have been lurking and looking and will continue to do so. Thanks all of you for sharing your corner of the Gargoyles universe.

**Tanika leaves the CR and lurks in the Box for a while, then crawls out and caustiosly peers into the TGS room . . . after she's sure it's safe, she comes out and posts.**

I'm going to have to go with the Sata pic, a close tie with Asrial and Graeme-Ariana. Sata is my favorite from TD, and one of my faves out of all the new characters. I think she's really cool, almost Vulcan (which is a mentality I aspire to in many ways myself). She's cool and collected, doesn't lose her head in a tough situation, and is extremely intelligent and able to deal with things as they arise. She's principles, methodical, and rational, and it's been shown that her way of doing things perfectly balances Brooklyn's rashness. Okay, that's done. Enough of my rambling about her. :)

As to my fave series (continuing in this little "favorites" thread) I'd have to say that, aside from TD, it's Dark Ages. This one has the closest "feel" to the original, I think, even though I didn't really like it when it first premiered. When I read the story about the search for that sword, with Ian, the mistreated magician's apprentice, and the lazy gargoyle, the clever gargoyle, the strong leader gargoyle with brains, etc, I was afraid the series would turn out to be _Rugrats_ with wings. I was pleasantly proven wrong. There is one thing I would have much, much preferred be left out, though: the FOX. I labored through the first episode in which he appeared, and I groaned at the unpromising title "The Fox Came Back." Truthfully, I only skimmed through the many pages in the middle that were just one huge slapstick gag scene. I was heartily glad when he was sent away.

Concerning Maddox: ED, I did the same thing with him that I did with Xanatos when I first watched TOS: I _knew_ that he turned out evil, but I was momentarily convinced by his act and, liking him as a good character, really wanted to believe he was good. No huge surprise (though a pretty big disappointment) when he pulled the big betrayal.

More on favorite characters (and general rambling): I like Asrial from DA a lot, the twins are cool (great at replacing the Trio for comic relief), and I was one of the other people who fell in love with Jerush instantly. Someday I have to get around to drawing her. I liked Saeko (Sharon, though I prefer her Japanese name) from Gargoyles and appropriately hated Takeo (Was that his Japanese name? Yeah, that's right, isn't it?) /Tommy. George Harrison I thought was a wonderful villain. The parts with George, Richard and Amgela were great. ("Equality" and the episodes around that timeframe were generally pretty good.) As for "Pendragon", which is my least favorite series of the bunch, I do like Cavall (it annoys me when I try to think of canon, or at least Greg-based Pendragon and I keep seeing a red gargoyle beast trotting along >:E ), Morgan is really cool, and I liked Macbeth's appearances. Brianna's introduction was great. One of my great problems with that series was the repetitiveness, though. Look in a place, flash back for most of an episode, find nothing, and then head back to the lab to plan for tomorrow night. At least with Merlin found, things can pick up. I like the idea of him as a child. I liked the idea of Rory joining them in "The Tain". Or did I miss something? Because there's a huge question: (forgive the caps, but,) WHERE WAS HE IN "QUEST'S END"? He did join them, right? I'm not being really stupid and not having read the end of the story carefully enough? Apologies for my denseness (and shouting) if that's the case. And if not, what's going on?

Timedancer "Future Tense" theme: I finally dragged my friend Dayker over to my house to listen to it, and found out it was from the Mortal Kombat: Annhilation soundtrack. I got clued in (I'd been wondering what it was from before that) when I was watching the first MK movie and heard echoes of the Timedancer tune during one of the fight sequences. :) Speaking of the themes, I thought they were all really cool. TD (the regular one) is my favorite, and I like to listen to just the instrumental parts, without the dialogue on top of it.

Btw, I also love all the cr pics. Very cool!

Okay, I've rambled quite long enough for a first post (I might even challenge Ed in length ;) (not likely though :p), so I should go now. Clear skies, all!

Yes! Yes! Thank you! Man, I'm really eatin this up!!
<<Brooklyn in TD... his multiple loves were good.>>
Sata, I fully understand, everyone ends up with somebody. Meryt..., I guess, is something of a starting point, to "break Brooklyn in", nicely putting it..., I don't know, it's still kinda hard for me to grasp, I just can't image as Brooklyn as this "timedacning jigolo"..., if he was a human, I'd better understand it, anyway, other than Meryt, Jerusha really got my attention.., Poor girl, I wonder what's gonna happen to her??
Ok, let me explain something- <<..in "Prophets and Angels", Sata mad me really mad.>> Frist of all, there's something about Sata that doesn't sit right with me, just like with Goliath.., When she told Angela she was setting a bad example for her children, boy I set it off! I know the raising of children is done by the whole clan, but honestly, Brooklyn and her did just fine with these kids by themsevles for what?? 12...., 16 years? (How old are the twins anyway?) And she wants to put it on Angela? See, I think Brooklyn was right for putting the blame on the TV.., I know I'm blowing it out of proportion, but if I coulda been there, I woulda slap that woman in her head. And I also woulda hand my finger directly *in* Goliath's nose for saying he [allows] his daughter to see her mother. Demona's right, Angela's grown, she can go off to see her mother anytime of the week!
So, I just wanted to get that off my chest, I know I may be wrong, but still, I like arguments. And yes, you may have figured out by know... Ah nevermind, I think I've typed too much.

Jackal: Yes, I agree with those situations. But while I loved SOMETHING WICKED & CONSEQUENCES was all the gore there really justified. Heck, was much of the sex and stuff there really necessary. When it's needed methinks it's fine, but sometimes I wonder if it's just put in for the sake of doing something that the original cannot do.

AotN: Yes, but it's still a considerable time before the earliest GARGOYLES sighting of the two. And until mated up, brother is the common greeting. Because he is. No, I haven't read that fanfic, and yeah I suppose in WANDERER. But Demona is entitled to a whinge now and then IMHO. And it's early days for the clan yet in terms of mating. I'm curious to see why the situation changes.

Ordell: Never print out fanfic. I always read it on screen.

Todd: I don't think that's a problem with Maddox/ Madoc (although I would say that ;)). If it's appropriate it's fine. I just can't see why the gore and stuff is needed. And in some cases the sex. And the swearing most definitely. It's just the unnecessary stuff that annoys me. But the madoc thing is part of Merlin's past. That's all part of the series. It's vital. As with THE PROMISE, I think. But in other places…

Theresa: Eh? *confused* What did I do? ?:\ Apart from fill this place with a post to end all posts. :) As for the NOs I can't help thinking that in many ways they're like humans. Suppose it's natural- they're part human. I'd be interested to see Boreas trying to keep the peace (very difficult methinks- could lead to civil war etc.) in the light of what might be considered shoving New Olympus into the lion's den by having them revealed to the world. I wonder how Greg would have dealed with it. Wonder how TGS *will* deal with them… *hint!!!* Please guys???

Ashlar: How can it move from the fair folk when The Rising is afoot????? But I agree totally on the QM. They were handled very well indeed, by focussing on Castaway and highlighting a few of them. Very well done. I missed the QM and Castaway before didn't I?

AotN: Yeah, I love Proteus too.

Guppi: I'll be posting ***SPOILERS*** when I remember to do so, which is far from always :\ As for my postings: :)

Jackal: I really hope he isn't. But there was something to that effect in REPRISALS. But you've gotta bring him back TGS!!!

DumlaoX: Well, I'll be the first to try and cast the 'YES YES YES' vote to incorporating stuff from NO, BG and FT. Especially the first 2.

Picture: I know, I know… I can't help being a Maddox fan. :)

And yeah, it's incredible how good the CR pics really are, Mandi, I agree. Thumbs up yet again TGS.

Hmmm… nobody answered my FUTURE TENSE q. Guess DumlaoX's comment means 'no.' Hmph. Must have been dreaming.

And some of my other views on characters…

Deborah: Seemed like an oddity really. I didn't really feel she was that 'nice' a person, really. I loved the stuff where she felt that she could see herself in Demona, but I think that should have been expanded on before she died. Nice character… but… hmm.

Demona in DA: She seems well done to me. Like how the Archmage is acting fatherly… wonder how long it will be until she gets a sneaking suspicion of the truth.

Ian: Poor old Ian. He was quite a neat little character actually.

Thersites: Amusing, but I think he was best just for odd little moments, like his comments in ALLIANCES2.

Atlanta: I have to say I do not like Atlanta. She seems far too 'all brawn' and the way she compared to Asrail was… overdone methinks. She has plenty of potential, but her character is too… *can't think of right word*

Asrail: The obvious one. Very, very ace. She's overdone in places, but I like her bursts of self confidence every once in a while, and the bits where she's ready to give up. Very good character.

Roland: My fave of the TGS crew, but then he's a moody villain, with a nasty streak, a complicated past and is a threat. What more perfect a villain could there be for DA? He's grand. I loved PRINCE OF THIEVES. He makes me shudder in some ways…

Hudson: Very good. Him calling Deborah angel of the *sea* was a neat touch. Hadn't really considered how that sort of naming for mates would work…

The Trio: I like the bits where they are a trio. The darker tones of GARGOYLES & TIMEDANCER are nicely balanced by their adventures here.

Agamemnon: Another amusing character.

Eldest: Really caught my attention. I'm really interested in knowing more.

Malcolm: I think there should be more on him… perhaps there is in the sections I haven't read.

Oliver: Loved AGT. :)

Archmage: Some neat little plots, and the bits with Demona are fantastic. The DA staff are doing a very good job of maintaining him as a major villain in the sort of time scale you've picked (shove as many eps in as you can fit into each year!!! :)).

Goliath: his being after Asrail is certainly curious. Nice idea IMHO :)

Reynard: I thought WANDERER sort of dragged on… but THE FOX CAME BACK… *laughs* Great for lightening the mood :)

Brooklyn in TD: He seemed to be lacking some sort of key development. The Gate was obvious, but something more… his multiple loves were good.

Sata in TD: Injects plenty of wonderful continuity, but it seems to be short lived. Now that they've got this far, where should we be looking now for the continuity?

Others in TD: Really, none of the characters were seen enough (exc. Those commented on in other sections) for me to comment. I know I have with other series when a character really grabbed me, but… the only one I would say I liked is Jerusha. She was ace!! The pirates, on the flip side, got old pretty quickly for me… it was a nice continuing thing… but…

Ah, well. Another ridiculously sized post, but I started this stuff, so I thought I might as well finish :)

Another new pic is up: Brooklyn and Sata's marriage pic.

SPELLING ERRORS-- My fault since I gave that list of pics to Gore. Sorry.

JACKAL-- Ah, we can't tell you the rest of that story... not just yet anyway. Expect us to revisit that place this coming season.

Ok, thank you for clearing up the "cheating" thing. But I still wanna know the story though, Meryt wasn't the only interesting character in "For Old Time's Sake", ya know that magic dude.., i forgot his name..., But I can understand some of what's going on now. Although, I do think I like Meryt better than Sata....

Given that I'm the TD reviewer for the GFW, I figured the Phoenix Gate was appropriate. (Oh, and Gore, it's Phoenix, not Pheonix. And it's Sevarius, not Servarius. Just a minor nit ^_^.)

Since DumlaoX asked about this, I thought I'd clarify:

1) Any and all TimeDancer reviews I write will be posted to the GFW (http://www.gargoyles-fans.org). I may link to them from my site, but they will only be physically located on GFW.

2) The TGS:G Season One review I mentioned -- which should be up by Tuesday -- will be on *my* site, not GFW. This is a personal review, not one for GFW.

Whenever I post a review of TGS, whether it be TD or otherwise, I will post in here and provide a direct link.

Spoilers> In the S8 Gargs comment room, we used spoilers to discuss new episodes. I think the same rule would apply here; generally speaking, I would suggest using spoiler warnings for a given episode for a week after its posting (which, during the normal season, would be the space before the posting of the next episode). This gives everyone a reasonable time to read the stories, I think. (If, as people have suggested, next season the TGS staff posts new stories in a given series on a biweekly rather than weekly basis, then I'd expand the spoiler warnings to two weeks rather than one week.) (FYI, I'm deriving this rule from the old rule on HIGHLA-L, which was that an episode got spoiler warnings until it had made its first run on all the major networks, which meant about two weeks for an episode, due to the one-week delay on WGN.)

Something I forgot to add in that last little rant.

DumlaoX: I could be wrong, but I think what Guppi means by spoiler posting is this: once the new season of TGS comes out in October, would posters be expected to mark "Spoiler Warnings" on any posts dealing with recent Season 2 episodes? I know people on the Buffy newsgroup have really been irritated at people who don't put spoiler warnings before postings that reveal critical elements of new shows. (It really got nasty with spoiler warnings for that season finale!) Anyway, I could be wrong, but I think that's what we're getting at about spoilers.

My $.02 about people whining about getting pics up: these are fan drawings, people, not just screen shots or pics you can just scan! Have some patience! I know that some of these characters were already drawn when their TGS stories came up, but a lot of them weren't! Besides, seeing the quality of some of these drawings, I'm not surprised it's taking a while. Kudos to the artists who have been turning out the pics for the comment room: they look wonderful!

"Of course, that's just my opinion; I could be wrong." *end rant*

BTW, I finally got around to reading Dark Ages--I have to agree with those who are begging the staff to find an "out" for Asrial in the Wyvern massacre. That's probably not going to happen (it's like playing favorites with characters), but I really like her.

Well, I am glad to see that my origional comment was so welcomed! I hope some of my other comments are welcomed so warmly. This time, I just have a comment and a question.

A few weeks ago, my girlfriend and I figured out the gestation time of the gargoyles, from conception to "birth" to hatching. I just have to figure out a way to put it on here...

I have a question about one of the themes. I heard the Timedancer theme (Future tense mix) on the radio for a ad. Is that from another song, or was it made exclusively for the Saga? I forget what the ad was for, though.

Finally, to you people complaining about getting the pictures up: GET A LIFE! Like it was mentioned a few times, they are trying thier best to get pictures up. Personally, I picked a picture for me, and stuck with it, and do you hear me complaining? No, beacuse I know that good things come to those who wait.

Ah, time to answer a few questions. But first...

A pic of Sharon Nimura is up. Our list is growing steadily.

INCORPORATE OTHER SERIES-- Maybe we will, maybe we won't. I really can't say for sure since the whole season isn't planned out yet.

CLEARED-- Comment room is cleared about the same time that Gore has his cleared, which is 12 AM EST on Monday mornings. Note that I might not always make this time so don't be surprised if we clear it a few mins earlier or later.

THE MERYT QUESTION-- OK, Meryt was in Brooklyn's life before Sata was. Brooklyn never knew who Sata was at the time so whatever he did, it wasn't considered cheating. And I'll let you all imagine what he did.

SPOILERS-- Guppi, what exactly did you mean about the spoilers thing? I don't really understand.

L8r all. Happy posting!

TGS is awesome! It has been a million times greater than I had hoped. I have read everything thus far except Pendragon, but soon...soon... My favorite characters are: Gargoyles- Lexington ,please be nicer to him next season :( ;Timedancer- Brooklyn ; Dark Ages- (please no one kill me) Deborah, although she isn't developed much, I can see a lot of potential in her character, and the thought of Hudson's mate interests me!
BTW, I was re-reading "Out of Joint", and I noticed that Brook has that scroll from the Roman Mage, the one which only he can open, but he put it in his pouch and forgot about it for the season. Is it gonna be important or did he eat it?

(I'm pretending the Vogel pic is up, heh heh)  ---Wow, the place just opened up and already it's incredibly full!  (Hmm, could that be due in any way to ED's rather enthusiastic postings? ^_^)  It's got a rather interesting atmosphere, like a cross between the 'regular' CR and "The Box."  I'll look forward to coming here every now and then and seeing what everyone has to say.

I'll do some decent comments later when I have more time, but for now there's just a few Qs to Dumlaox or whoever's able to answer 'em:

1)   Approximately how often will this room be wiped?  Weekly, like the main one?

2)   A nettiquite question:  When TGS resumes in October, do you think it'll be necessary to post **Spoilers** before making any comments about new stories?

...That's pretty much all I can think of (I'm not terribly inquisitive. :P).  Hey to everybody in here, and bye for now!

Lo all!

GARGOYLES> Loved the way the series was continued, particularly in regards to the Quarrymen. Putting people behind the hoods was necessary, and by putting characters like Sara Jasper, Richard and George Harrison made the Q-men storyline spectacular.
George Harrison was my favourite character of the series, being young, resourceful, effecient, and amoral, he is shaping up to be the Hunter's heir apparent.
I loved seeing Avalon and the children of Oberon revisited, but while I am waiting breathlessly for Ragnagarok, I hope that the storyline will shift away from the fair folk for a season or two.
However, my biggest question for TGS is... WHERE IS THAILOG?

I see I'm not the only one interested in knowing more
about the New Olympians. I read somewhere, that they
were the offspring of Oberon's children and humans.
That would explain the shape shifter Proteus and the
fact that few of the New Olympians are the same body
shape. Anyone else like the quaint little vacation

I have often found myself in a minority about some of
my likes and dislikes. Over all I can't wait for the
new season, but until then there are all the websites

GARLON - Well, he was only based in a very basic sense on the invisible guy in "Generations" - all that we really went for was the concept of a very sneaky fellow who could turn invisible or blend into the shadows, and developed him in a different direction. If it hadn't been for the Stealth Guy in "Generations" to begin with, I don't think that we would have come up with Garlon for TGS - but how we developed him was our idea.

MATURE CONTENT - We've done our best to keep the mood of the original series, but sometimes these botch-ups do take place. (You guys really should hear some of the Standards and Practices discussions that we've had over the past several months :) Oddly enough, one thing got through S&P without anybody commenting on it, either on the TGS staff or (to the best of my knowledge) in the readership: Merlin being done as Madoc/Maddox's illegitimate son. (Then again, Greg's vision had also called for Merlin being illegitimate, though with Oberon as the father, and I'm not sure how HE was going to get that past Standards & Practices).

favorite series and charaters?? Good question. I guess my favorite series would have to be Timedancer just because Brooklyn seems to remind me of well, myself. ED and Merlin Missy:

Okay, here are a couple examples I found to better explain my reasons for being disappointed over Demona's character:

Example 1: No matter how people try to cover it up, Demona and Goliath were in love at some time, and as it *obviously* was not during any time the Clan spent in New York, one would assume they had shared a more youthful infatuation. Well, apparently you writers interpreted Greg's original ideas differently than I did. There are clear signs that Demona and Goliath have no interest whatsoever in eachother. One case I located in "Games Wizards Play"--Demona says: "Would you mind getting off me *brother*?" *I* thought that this remark seemed rude and showed that she was totally uninterested. Another thing that upsets me--I like Asrial, but her personality is a mixture a Lex and Goliath, in a female's body, of course (Ex.-fascination with machines, love of books, thirst for knowledge, etc.). *Of course* Goliath likes her best-she thinks like him!

Example 2: Have you ever read fanfic by a guy named Tim Reynard? In his retelling of "Awakening", he portrays Demona's attitude in the best and, in my opinion, the most accurate way I've seen. In about the middle of the story, as Goliath and Hudson are flying away to fight the vikings, he has Goliath have a flashback to when he and Demona first "fell in love". This section reveals even more about Demona's personality. It basically shows that she's very self-confident and proud, but that she is a very sweet, loving person at heart. There have been points in the story where I almost feel you see her as a complete opposite of that, such as when she brutally criticizes Asrial and Ther in "Wanderer". She always thinks of herself before others in DARK AGES, and it bothers me. I can see where you could interpret her nasty dispositions from "Long Way Till Morning", but in "Vows", which is closer to the time period you're working with, her moral values greatly contrast with that of her younger self. Namely, she's a *good person* overall.

Okay, I think I'm done, except for one thing that bothers me most. I LOVE most of the characters in the stories; the way they're depicted is, for the most part, utterly fantastic. But I'm disappointed mainly in Asrial in that the way that her nature is portrayed leaves you nothing to do with her Later, chronologically speaking. Maybe the storyline will change in an unexpected way as the series goes on, but as far as I can see, she and Goliath are going to end up together (which, again, is rather strange, considering what the originators of "The Show" had done with Goliath and Demona (but in accord with your story, how could anyone *not* like her? Maybe that's what I'm getting at--she's too perfect, or something). Anyway, I like her, I just hope things change for her in other respects.

Well, now it must feel as though I've completely told you off. It's not like that. I've been very particular about how other people "handle" Demona's attitude ever since I got into this mess (which was,..oh, about '94!). Anyway, I love what's going on in DARK AGES with other characters, like the Brother (he's the best!) and Ther (he's sort of a twist on Brooklyn's attitude--very sarcastic, and soo funny).

I also envy you guys. I was so excited to read DARK AGES, because I love to write, and have my own little fanfic collection here at home, all about Goliath and siblings' younger nights (hand-written, not in any internet archive you'd find!).

Anyway, I sick of typing. Sorry for the speech!

<<...If it's trying to capture the feel of the original, then I don't think that swearing or excessive violence helps too much.>>
You're right. But let's look at Brooklyn for example.., Genernally, a good man..., gargoyle..., get him mad enuf and BOOM, you got another Demona. He's got a short fuse, and I'd expect for him to go off in an cursing, violet rage. I feel that "TGS" is bringing a realm of reality we wouldn't have ever seen on TV. Like, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't have seen Meryt whispering "sweet nothings" in Brooklyn ear..., Well, then again, maybe we would..., But I know for sure, the way "The Promise" ended, would definitely not have had it on TV. So like I said, "TGS" is making these "beings" more realistic. That's what I think anyway. Oh, by the way, I wasn't down talking Brooklyn, heck.. I like him! Hey Brooklyn, if you felt like I was down talkin you, you can come beat me up. Ok?

I overlooked Thomas Revor's 'fave series' question. Hmm. Interesting one.

GARGOYLES: Well, this has the original characters some new ones, and Lex and Maddox (or Madoc now) to liven things up. Very good. It consistently pours out episodes of an incredibly high quality… neat. My fave though?… hmmm…

PENDRAGON: Well, this is the one that seems most like the original gargs to me. In most places it's pretty good. And the flashbacks, while difficult to get into at times are captivating. I never really knew anything about Arthurian legend before, but Pendragon certainly makes it interesting. It lacks continuity in places (Griff and Brianna helped), but hopefully now that Merlin's been found they'll actually have a definite direction to their quest rather than 'let's visit here there and everywhere today'.

DARK AGES: Really nice stuff on some of the characters. It moves quite slowly in places, but it also has a nice run of pace when needed. Has a range of great characters… well, Roland and Asrail which are glorious enough characters for several series. And Thersites is funny. But would it be my favourite? Oooo… not sure…

TIMEDANCER: This is weird. I like Brooklyn, and sometimes this excites me beyond belief and sometimes… I really don't have any interest whatsoever. The pirate thingy was the only real attempt at continuity and that got old and boring for me really quickly. The whiskaway endings are fun. The girlfriends through time are fun. Sata is successfully injecting some continuity into it… but… I couldn't say this is my fave. Sorry. Not that it's bad, but just that it's patchy. There again, it has some of the most memorable classics like REQUIEM and FLEETING ENCOUNTERS.

I'd say then not TD… PENDRAGON and DARK AGES … … … … … no. And that leaves Nicholas Maddox to collect the prize on behalf of GARGOYLES!!!

And yet of all the four, I'm most excited to see what becomes of PENDRAGON. If he links in with the Madoc tales, then it's sure gonna be exciting. :D

Oh, and one more q. I could swear that I read somewhere that you were planning to do the FUTURE TENSE spin-off under another name in January or sommat like that… is it my imagination, or are you going to do that in TIMEDANCER or what? Or was I dreaming or something… :|

BTW, are there any plans to incorporate the stuff that would have gone into the other 3 spinoffs into the current 4 series? I'd love to see the BAD GUYS and THE NEW OLYMPIANS especially.

I can imagine THE NEW OLYMPIANS fitting in very nicely with the tales of Madoc and all… *sigh* And the BAD GUYS teaming up with Arthur (Arthur and Fang!!! heheheheh ;))

I don't have any objection to that, but TGS advertises itself as going in the way Greg would have wanted it for as far as they can. Oh, happy day, calloo callay! There's a picture of my favorite bad girl up now! I like the new format on the viewing pics page. The different colors make things much easier to tell what's up. Looks like I started something with Asrial last night! Hmm, think if enough of us yell loud anough, they'll save the whole clan? I know, the Unseelies could ressurrect everybody to try to turn them evil, and then Asrial could have a big showdown with Maeve, and Thersites would outsmart Madoc(who's sneakier than those two?), and the whole clan would live happily ever after, 'cause the bad guys would be too scared to go up against a complete clan, and Demona would turn good, and...and...*catches her breath* Well, whatever happens, I'm looking forward to Season Two. Llewelyn: Heh ;)

AoTN: I have no problem with DA, and I don't really see your reasons for having one either. Where is she portrayed as evil or a suck up?

Merlin Missy: I certainly have no problem with how it's going. Demona seems to be done well.

I should probably add, however, that I'm on NEWS FROM THE SOUTH now. Haven't seen the whole series. Or read, as the case may be. Which it is.

Dark feel to the series: It's OK, but try to keep it in perspective. Enough is enough. The shorter stories help keep the mood brighter I think. And in some places it's the dark mood that make it what it is (SOMETHING WICKED & CONSEQUENCES I'm thinking mainly). But the blood and the swearing and stuff doesn't feel Gargoyles, and while it may enhance the series in one way, it detracts from making it feel like a continuation of the series.

OK, here are a couple of views on some of the characters…

Nicholas Maddox: Has anyone noticed how much I like this character? The wonderful thing about it all is that I went through the same reactions as Lex did, and I'm sure all those that watched me in the S8CR that knew about his plans were laughing their heads off. It seemed right. A friend for Lexington when he needed one the most. A person of integrity and who is trustworthy. Who obviously has some kind of past, but not evil. Surely not. Everyone else was blowing the trumpets saying he was too perfect. I didn't believe that. Stupid me, I suppose. When he said… what was it… 'he's in' if I remember rightly… I didn't think, 'oh, well, I was wrong. He must be evil.' I thought, 'well why does he need Lexington? After all, that doesn't necessarily reveal that he's evil, though perhaps it implies it.' Etc. Little did I know it at the time, but Lex's REPRISALS reactions mirrored that, in that he didn't originally make Maddox out as the bad guy even when he knew he knew (ouch. Hit me for that :)). And then CONSEQUENCES. Ooops. And yet I still want to believe him. I wanted to believe 'you're like a son to me, Lexington,' so much. I think Lex still is reluctant to let go, as when he starts saying 'Nicholas' and then checks himself. Maddox is, I think my fave of the TGS new characters. I like many of the others, and he's not the one which seems most like the original series flavour. But he's the coolest. And now I just want to find out what happens to Madoc…

Mavis: Mavis is a neat character but doesn't really seem to be that wonderful compared to Maddox. I guess she's OK. Her REPRISALS stuff was wonderful. Definitely best in an Angela story.

Lexington: If you shake in all the characters, while Maddox certainly appeals to me the most… Lexington is my fave. Very strange, as he doesn't even score a top ten rating in the original. Or top 20 even, methinks. Partly because what he goes through throughout the season… I can see a lot of myself in his attitude and situation and moods. And of course, I was probably the only person on the planet that got roped into Maddox's lies like he did. Lex is cool. In fact it's only recently come to my attention how much he and I are similar. Creepy really… (but, no, I don't have robotic bits implanted all over me :))

Garlon: Garlon sure is an interesting character. An effective 'thug'. Very neat. Very interesting. Although how on earth you can say that Garlon was based on the guy from GENERATIONS I really don't know. Not while he's so much more advanced. :\

Sara: neat character. One of the ones I had least trouble fitting in my imagination into the series. Worked well.

Duval: From what little I've seen of him he seems to be a very cool character. The spider in a web situation he finds himself in is very curious… very neat job, and I hope to see more of him. Much more.

Brook, Sata & the twins: Well, with their own series to sort them out, it seems like these guys have been sort of used as the minor roles. Which is good. Otherwise they'd get way overused. The twins do a good job in replacing the trio in the light heartedness dept, and Nudnik and Bronx are certainly cool together :)

Goliath ad Elisa: Nice touches… but nowt too much… G and the FT dream is well done. Elisa and her own dream is neat.

The Mazas and Clones and Mutates: Erm… these tales never really captivated me too much… perhaps it's just that the Maddox tales were so much more glittery… but… they seemed just dull. Sorry. :|

Sharon and what's his face: Can't remember his name now. The thug guy. Obviously a great impression he had. :\ Again, not too impressed, although another mutate is a neat idea and the mutation was well handled.

Angela and BW: Pretty good. Angie's (oops :)) eps with her mother were cool, and the REPRISALS section was dead good.

David: Pretty quiet really. Glad to see THINGS FALL APART shaking things up. I think a little more of the old X should have emerged by now… as Greg said, his methods may not even have changed that much. :|

Fox: Um, nice stuff with Puck… liked her TFA performance.

Richard: Oooh, neat character. Not great, but not bad.

George: Not bad, but great :) Strikes me as Wolf with a background, and while he's assuredly the leader of the 'make TGS dark' school of thought, it works. He's cool.

Ultra-Pack: like to know more. Sounds fun… but I still picture them in gold. In fact, I could have sworn there was a mention in REPRISALS of them being in gold. *shrugs* Lobo is underdeveloped.

A couple of others… but those are the main ones methinks… OK, to Pendragon.

Arthur: Arthur needs something I think. He doesn't seem to develop… it disappointed me to an extent in QUESTS END (the only thing that disappointed me it must be said :)) that there didn't seem to be any lead up to A's depression… or nothing too major. Gwynevere stuff is good… but nowt for the present day… is there? Am I being blind?

Cavall: Fits in the best :) Pendragon wouldn't be Pendragon without Cavall. Dunno how Greg and co. were intending to get round that. :D

Morganna: Another one that fits in well. Love GOW.

Brianna: YAY!! Gives Griff a third dimension! Nice one!

Griff: Over cheerful at times, but pretty neat.

Macbeth: Fits into 3 series really, so I'll class him here. Just seems to fit best. Macbeth is really well done. Especially in REQUIEM. And his desparation and loneliness is well done.

There are others, yeah… but these guys pop up again, or I have sommat to comment on for them. Oh, and I hope now that Merlin's been found the stories can start to link up better. :)

Do you think I should stop now? I do. Do DA& TD another time, unless you move the CR to stop my droning. This must be my longest post anywhere ever. :)

Obsession is a wonderful thing. Ever since I found out about the Gargoyles websites, I have had just the
most wonderful time reading and lurking. My favorite
character is Elisa. I really like the interplay between Elisa and Sarah. Sarah is a good supporting
player and I look forward to seeing her in the second
season. She has gone from hammer toting fanatic to
a person who sees gargoyles as people. She needs a chance to grow as a gargoyle friend. I was patiently
for the second season, but I warn you I'm low on halo
polish from polishing my halo while I wait.

Hi again!!

Okies i'll stick with Atalanta!

Favourite series!! Why Dark Ages!! I like them all but this series seems to stand out the most for me :) I Like the clan as a whole in particular Asrail and Thersites. (dont you guys dare kill Asrail off!! VERY BAD!!! I have my own ideas on how she can survive the massacre)

Anyways I think what I like most is the way the known characters are portrayes from the series in such a different light. Demona especially. I really do feel sorry for her. She is such a sweet gargoyle and excellently portrayed. Knowing how she ends up in the present of course I think makes a greater impact on how she was in Dark Ages.

One a side note: TGS Gargoyles...I personally like the darker atmosphere in this series. The Unseelie Rising and the upcoming battle which I am sure will occur is something i am really looking forward too.

Hmmm fave characters from each series.

TGS..hard to say.
Pendragon... Griff, Cavall, Morgana
DA. Asrail, Brother Edmund
TD. Well who else but Sata!

Thats enough ranting from me...til next time!!!

Ok, about the ending of "Vows", it seems to be more than just an editing room mistake- In Act 1- Between the scene that Demona "marrys" Goliath, and when Goliath goes to get his part of the Phoneix Gate, the Clock is delibratily shown for about 2 seconds. And the end can't be an accident, because the clock shines in the moon light and the music gets all dramatic... Is it an alternate ending that we weren't suppose to see???

I think that Timedancer is great, too, but gargoyles itself is turning too dark for my tastes. However, the Unseelie idea is really cool.People tend to forget there are bad Fae.
Haven't read the whole season of Pendragon, so I guess I'll have to come back later.

*Merlin creeps into the new room with a trenchcoat and a smile. She whips out a notepad, scribbles something, makes a paper airplane, and tosses it into the middle of the room.*

"AoTN: Can you be more specific about what you don't like re: the young Demona? As one of the DA writers, I think I can safely say none of us are trying to make her snobbish, etc. We *are* taking into account what we saw in "Vows" and "Long Way Till Morning." In the former, she was secretly working for the Archmage and stole the Phoenix Gate. In the latter, she was surly under Hudson's authority, and attempted to convince Goliath to take over the clan. We've been attempting to present a more rounded view of her youth, and we're interested in learning how that comes across in the stories. What about her current characterization doesn't work for you? The more specific you are, the better we can address the issue."

*Merlin flashes open her trenchcoat to reveal a white t-shirt and jean shorts. The t-shirt says: "My little sister was abducted by aliens and all I got was this lousy t-shirt." She snaps her fingers and vanishes, leaving the trenchcoat, t-shirt and shorts behind. From outside the room can be heard a little "Eep."*

Oh, I'm sooo disappointed with what's been going on in "Dark Ages"! I love Demona, and almost all the writers have portrayed her as some mean, stuck-up snob! (Helloooo! She's supposed to be Goliath's "young angel"! She and Goliath aren't even *friends*!!) I beg you, please--consider what you are writing! She's not supposed to be evil yet!!

P.S. Despite this, I like what you are doing with the Desdemona-Othello-Iago thing. It's just as it should be
(but please leave out the "Desdemona is so beautiful-all the guys want her" thing. It's too queer, since there are more rookery sisters than Demona, Desdemona, and Asrial-whoever *that* is). I also love Theo-he's funny!

Well, congratulations on a stellar first season! October 8th is
quite a long, long time to wait for --- but if the Rising is
this big, huge event that I think it is --- and, at that, one
with far-reaching, maybe even fatal consequences for Goliath, Elisa and friends --- then I shall indeed keep watch! I have to.
I so dislike the very words "to be continued..." If you wanna know the truth, I hate cliffhangers in general. Which is why
I look forward to seeing more and more of the Saga online.....
and over the edge.

OK, let's see…

Gargoyles- Nicholas Maddox. He's just too wonderful. A guy I really literally hate. And the stories are so well told. Especially in CONSEQUENCES, MUTUAL TRUST & REPRISALS. And SOMETHING WICKED (title of the season and not just because weeks prior to it's release I was hyping it either :) )

Pendragon- Morganna? I liked GOW a lot. So yeah… or Cavall. Nowadays when I think of Pendragon I don't think of Arthur and Griff, I think of A, G & Cavall. In that way, TGS has made the most natural character of the lot. Another reason why I love this series.

DA- Havene caught up fully, but… Roland. Because he's the sort of character I love to read about. And Asrail.

TD- Sata, really. Only proper choice.

The comment room looks good, folks. Good job to all involved.

Now, how's this for a quick topic. With TGS, we've not only tried to continue on the started by Disney, but also gone through with the new series of Dark Ages, TimeDancer, and Pendragon.

Now, between the four series, which is your favorite and why?

Also, in each of the series, who is your favorite character and why?

Food for thought...

All right! There's a comment room so now I don't have to harass Merlin constantly! :) Can't wait until all the pics come up: talk about an extensive list! I haven't read Dark Ages, but I've read the other three series and the list looks like you got everyone slated for a pic! Anyway, I'm already hyped for the next season (everyone who worked on TGS season 1 is probably groaning and throwing projectiles at me at that) and I hope to see more of Rory in Pendragon; I loved "The Tain" although the total lack of mention of it in "Quest's End" bothered me. I'll use the Phoenix Gate for now. I'll make a permanent choice after all the pics are online :)

Well I only popped in to have a look and dont really have anything to say yet except....

Jackal- The ending in vows was a mistake in the editing. That Scene was meant to be the YOUNG Goliath and Demona at Prince Malcoms wedding but they got the background all wrong.

Oh and IMHO Dark Ages is the greatest!! I hope we see what happens about Brother Edmund next series

Okies I'll be back later!! Til then!!

Ooo! I just thought of something! Yall remember "Vows"? Did anybody understand the ending to that, when Goliath and Demona were in the Clock Tower? And "The Green" had a weird ending too! (Later on in the series he goes on to meet Sata and nothing more is said about Meryt). Oh no! wait..., Does Brooklyn cheat on Sata?!!! Or is there something to the story that's not being told yet? Like, before Brooklyn meets Sata..., and him and Meryt get
together in a "little fling"? But that's not really fair to Sata, because she didn't marry a virgin...., unless...., Sata wasn't a virgin either.... Just wondering.

THE MOVIE-- Yes, the movie based on Gargoyles- the animated series, is still in production. As of now, Greg Weisman is one of the executive producers and the writer of Con Air is doing the screenplay.

FIRE STORM-- Racy question. Without giving away too much, Sata wasn't even mentioned in "For Old Time's Sake". Therefore, it isn't cheating. And speculate what you will about those two.

FINALLY! A place where some of my questions may be anwsered!
First off: In "For Old Times Sake", what happened to Meryt? Did Brooklyn have sex with her or did Sata just tell her about him? (And you know what I am talking about! Don't act shy. It won't work.)
And if Brooklyn DID have sex with Meryt, that would have meant that he cheated on Sata? Or was this before he met Sata, and you didn't mention it? I have a whole lot of these questions, but one at a time!
