Christine: A few days? God, you must have passion for fanfiction! You are the fastest writer I've ever met! I know my saga's next installment isn't going to be posted any time soon, you'll probably have at least ten more stories up before I finish it. Sigh, oh well...
Lisa: Hope Madoc likes his present. MUHAHAHAHAH!!!!

Coyote > I made the buttons myself, with color print-outs of CrzyDemona's pic (hi, Jen!) and my button-maker.

Book stuff > still nothing. But I'll be posting a crossover fanfic in a few days! Crossing over with myself ... how weird! How vain! How ... how about I don't use the word I was gonna use? ; )

Whoops! It's Brocken, not Brogan. Wrong address. (The mailperson nods and switches it as Lisa grins evilly.) Get that express mail, please!! (hands the mailperson a tenspot) Bye now!
(Lisa zips off and glides away as the mailperson rushes to get Madoc his present.)

(Lisa suprises Coyote by walking in carrying a huge mail package that appears to have something kicking and screaming around inside it. She marks it "Nicholas Maddox, Brogan Castle, Germany" and hands it to a chatroom mailperson to send off.)
Heh heh, now Todd won't get that present SJ sent but those Unseelie assholes will!! I am so glad I intercepted it! Take that, Madoc Morfyrn and Queen Maeve!! (smiles wryly)
Coyote: Where am I tonight? Well, right now the rest of the Ravens and I are together for our weekly D&D game. It's breaktime right now (We take a half-hour break at 8:30) and I thought I'd check out what was going on in here. Not much, I see. Guess this is as good a time as any to tell you where those gargs I gave you for WCC sleep during the day. As I've said before, I don't turn to stone by day, I just regenerate like Wolverine of the X-Men does. The others, though, roost on the deck on top of the UT Tower (with UT President Larry Faulkner's permission; apart from us Ravens, he's their only human friend, the clan saved his life once, the campus is part of their protectorate, and the Tower observation deck is closed due to all the suicides back in the seventies and Charles Whitman, so President Faulkner lets them stay up there). Before that, I'm not sure where they slept by day or even where they came from. Maybe someday I'll find out. Just thought you might want to know this information.
Ravyn and SJ: Thanks for the warm welcome. It's good to be back. Too bad I have to go now. My cleric is needed to help the rest of the party against some really bad undead. See y'all next time! Doug sends his regards.
(Lisa catches an updraft and soars back out the skylight grate.)

**Coyote enters the room, standing in the center and listening to the wind whistle hollowly through it.**

Geez, does this place clear out after 4pm Saturday or something?? Where is everybody?!

Lisa/Kitainia: Yes, I will send you URL's for assessing my artwork (my computer kind of dies when I try to send graphic file attachments through e-mail) once I have them at my Geocities space. Already have pencils done on your pic ... ready for action with Rosanna ... ;) (don't mind me, thought I'd tantalize you a little.)

Christine: Loved the Gathering report. Makes me look forward even more eagerly to Dallas. Question, though: how much did it cost you apiece to have the Jericho buttons made up, or did you do them yourself? (just as a guide for me for next year.) Hope my experience next year isn't quite as hectic but equally as enjoyable (too bad everybody'll miss out on the fabulous bathroom view you had.).

Well, just thought I'd try to get a conversation started ... excuse me for a moment ...

**Coyote cups his hands around his mouth, yelling out and listening to the echo reverberate around the room. He shrugs his shoulders, slowly walking out of the room.**

LISA'S BACK! LISA'S BACK! Finally, I think the room's roster is now complete.

And Todd, happy (belated) b-day man. Your present is in the mail. You'll know which one is mine, cause I had to poke holes in the box for "it" to breathe. Just a few rules of ownership on your gift: it likes to be called "Roy", never handle it without rubber gloves, and never, NEVER feed it after midnight.

I'm back!! Anybody miss me?
My trip was okay, family sends their regards. I missed all you guys and gals here, though I did read over the room every chance I got. There's a lot here, I see. Gore, why haven't you gotten it clearing yet?
Now I must announce to everyone my new improved Internet handle- Kitainia! JEB, please update your registry with this if you find the time. In case anyone's wondering, it's a combination of the word Tain and the name of the Dragonlance villainess Kitiara (who somehow got left out of our fave list). I'll still call myself Lisa in here, wouldn't want to force you guys to get used to a new name, but everywhere else I am Kitainia!
9th of 2- Welcome! On your question about Picard's baldness, maybe he likes it that way. I know a lot of people who think baldness makes them look more distinguished, and thus better, than they do with hair. Plus, I just can't see him with hair for some reason.
Todd- Happy belated Birthday! I have another survey for this page, but I'll hold off on it till it starts clearing out of respect for the wishes of such a great fanfic writer.
Coyote- Enjoy the clan I sent, I know you'll find a good use for them. If anybody has a picture of the Gathering 99 Mascot they can send Coyote, please do. Until Alex gets his scanner fixed or replaced (he's still procrastinating), we can't do it from here. Coyote's going to draw the rest for me, and hopefully send them to me for evaluation when he gets finished (hint hint). And Coyote, I will be waiting anxiously for the next chapter of When Clans Collide!
Sevarius Jr.: I missed you most of all. Come here, you big lug. (holds out her arms, SJ smiles and approaches. Doug drops his jaw and looks at them both in disbelief as they share a long comforting hug before Lisa pats him on the back, releases SJ, and turns away.) Don't worry, Doug, that was entirely platonic (not that you would mind if it wasn't. I hope). Okay, now that I'm back, I hope to hear some more of your great jokes. And on why Gorelisa won't call you, I bet it's that s/he thinks your breath smells. Whenever I don't call a guy, it's either that or that I don't like him. With you, what's not to like?
The Gathering: I've heard so many good things about it, I am really angry I wasn't able to come up there. Next year it will be in Dallas so dollars to donuts I'll try my best and be able to!! Look forward to meeting all of you then. From what I've heard of this year's and seen in Doug's pictures, everyone had a blast! Wish I could have enjoyed it with y'all (okay, I've said that enough already). The most interesting thing I've heard so far is that a lot of people were making out during Greg's panel. Looks like Doug and I have some catching up to do.
That's all for now. We'll be back. Later!
(Lisa grabs Doug and they jet out the skylight on his rocketpack, acting out a popular make-out-while-flying fantasy as they go. As they head out into the sky, Doug quickly activates the invisibility shield so nobody will be embarrassed.)

And BTW, before I forget (and since I'm already talking to Doug), Lisa, thanks for Clan Austin (and for yourself, additionally.)! 9th of 2- Yeah, I agree with you on the B duo. And on original and easy-to-remember names. When I'm a Gargs fan, I'm Doug. Everywhere else, I'm usually Mikrog, the orc warlock. That was a character I did for a fantasy novel I scrapped halfway through the third chapter when I realized I didn't like what I had going. So far, I haven't gotten back to it, all the writing I do nowadays is fanfiction. Oh well, I enjoy that much more and so does my audience (if all the good feedback I get isn't a lie and I'm sure it can't be), so for a long long time it will continue. Hope it's the same for all the fanfic writers whose stuff I love to read (Christine Morgan, the TGS people, Christi Smith Hayden, A Fan, and Lex Wyvern come easiest to mind).

Just work your jaw out, you'll be fine..., uhh right, anyway, I meant to say that Sata won't return my calls, I see her in public and she just ignores me..., I'm not mad at her though. Oh, I think "Darkwing Duck" and "Bonkers" should've been on that list. "Bonkers" was cool until they got rid of Lucky. Crazy D, I think you did freak out Greg.
Hey, on a personal note, Yall, I think I messed myself up bad. Jackal's seriously concerned about his well being. Man, I got in serious trouble with my suga-lump 2day, now I'm about to wake her up and say, "By the way, can you take me to the ER?" Heh heh, Oh God help me, someone pray for me?

SJ: Yeah, but no way in hell do you miss her as much as me. That woman has changed my life for the better majorly. To put it in Forgotten Realms deity terms, she's made me feel like I'm living with Tymora, Sehanine Moonbow, Sune, The Red Knight, Loviatar, Lloth, Aerdrie Faenya, Mystra, Selune, Mielikki, Waukeen, Llira, and Hanali Celanil all at the same time and merged into the same person who is my soulmate (good goddesses dominant of course!). I can hardly wait till Friday when I get to see more of her than just loving e-mails. And right now, I am sure her heart is singing "Austin Rain" (Heather Nova's song "London Rain" with different city mentioned) as she feels the same way I do. God, how I yearn for and need her more than any woman I've loved before, and I know this passion will never end and only increase as time goes on, no matter what happens. It's till death do us part for us two, even if we're far from getting married formally, we already are in heart, mind, and spirit. She completes me, without her I am a force to be reckoned with but together we are unstoppable and truly the ultimate team. Sigh, why must the wait till I see Lisa again be so long? I need to speak to her, hear her voice, feel her in my arms and hers around mine, her lips against my own and her tongue gently probing my mouth as her passion answers my own, feel her touching me, feel her eyes on me... (Suddenly a fist flys out of nowhere and hits Doug on the cheek, slapping him out of the getting-too-involved romance talk. He thanks Jim, and continues on with currently more important things.) Hope your sister is feeling better now, and continue to lay the guilt on if you like. It doesn't bother me in the least. Heh heh.
Coyote: Just got done with the latest installment. Good job, especially on Angela's character development. When she hit Rosanna in the back like that, I dropped my jaw in shock. I'm worried just how good she's gonna stay even though the clan's welcomed her back into its ranks. She can't stay bad forever, but... And now that Demona's charmed Samson, uh oh. Somebody needs to find her magical library and take a flamethrower to the place!! Hope to see more from you soon, and I have more possibly good news: Lisa has informed me in her latest e-mail that she has now taken the time to fully develop the physical descriptions and personalities for Clan Austin, the group of gargoyles that have taken shape in her imagination since she began posting here at my suggestion. She'll have them for WCC when she returns. Hope Gore has the clearing feature set up by Friday, because her comeback post is probably going to be huge!
Kathy: Alright, thanks for the go ahead. Now if I can only find the right filk tune...
Later all!

Uh oh...hmmm...well, I suppose now is not the time for me to tell you that I liked the old G.I.Joe show...But you shouldn't feel too bad about Wizard not mentioning Gargoyles. They're mainly a fanboy magazine, so I'm sure the 25 they listed were all based on comics (I know that Gargoyles was briefly a comic, but it was mainly a cartoon show). I haven't seen that issue, but I'm willing to bet that stuff like Spiderman and Xmen were probably listed. They were decent shows, but c'mon, where else you gonna find a show that not only has great action, but teaches world history (and even a little Shakespeare) and promotes positive morals? Only in Gargoyles my friend. (by the way, I've seen Spawn, and I've seen Gargoyles, and Keith's Goliath could whup his Spawn any day of the week)

Doug: I'm SORRY! I've had a rough week, plus my younger sister was sick this past weekend, so I had to take care of her (while all of you were having fun at the Gathering...gee, I'm not laying the guilt on too thick am I?), and I guess I'm still a little stressed out. Forgive me, my meds didn't kick in soon enough. Frankly, though, I think it's all just cause I miss Lisa ;-)

Ninth of two (? waitta minute howja get nine from two????) I'd just like to welcome you here to the site. I know I'm a little late with the welcome, but hey, my motto's always been "Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow." Didn't Ben Franklin write that?

(Until Gore gets this page clearing again, Doug is toning down on the Blaise-isms to save post length. He just walks in to say his piece without any big entrance.)
There, hope I gave Gore some more incentive. I know my entrances and exits are usually very interesting and since Blaise may be going away, someone has to do what he made famous. Might as well be me (and Lisa, and anyone else, if they so decide).
Spike: Thanks for saving me the trouble of hunting through the archive at www.gargoyles-fans.org when I got the time. For months, I've been promising myself I would check out Leva's fanfic, and now I have even more reason to. When I get time, I will. With school starting in a week, I don't know how soon I'll be able to read it, but I swear it will happen. And I'm sure I'll enjoy the experience. Already skimmed through "Beastly Knights," and no, the premise is not the same as my idea for Vincent and Talon. So I'll still be doing the story if nobody else does it before I finish the next three, which I've told myself must come first. Haven't thought of a title yet, but I know I will do it between "Masterpiece," and "Clash of the Titans." Maybe I'll make references to "Beastly Knights" within the tale if Leva will let me. I already have plans to draw on material from the only other Gargs/Beauty&Beast crossover I'm aware of, the great and wonderful Merlin Missy's "All Through the Night" (With disclaimer mention of course). Thanks AOT for posting the picture of me as Richard Harrisson. One last thing, I just got done reading "Impossible Dream." It is your best yet! I found myself missing the Spikester so much, and when he came to Elisa I laughed harder than I have in a long time. Thank you for bringing me that experience. And I can hardly wait for the next one!
SJ: Man, you have snapped. Lisa is probably going to give you a major counseling when she gets back on Friday. Better brace yourself. Sorry if I offended you with the sitting on your ass remark. As you know, before determination, boredom, a desire to meet Greg and at least some of my fellow fans face to face and vist New York, a lot of extra money, and Lisa's suggestion I go ahead and go kicked in, I was planning to not go to the Gathering either. Thank God I listened to all that instead of my earlier crazy and stupid idea!
Coyote: Jim was rough with you? I specifically told him to ask you nicely! Boy, is he gonna get it!! (Though, because he's a nightclub bouncer and works out much more often than I do I probably won't be able to back up my words with action too well.) Oh well, thanks for the money. At least now my fictional boss at the pizzeria (I really don't work for one, I'm back to being an understandably unemployed college student) will stop yelling at me about it. In other news, I've just finished the "Escape from Avalon" scene in "Choices," my next work of fanfiction. Next up, Puck's serpent prank and the introduction of Sycamore and the Swamp Forest clan of gargoyles. Soon, though how soon I cannot yet say, you'll be better able to write the characters I gave you for WCC. Look forward to your next installment on Clan Manhattan.
Top Cartoons: Okay, Wizworks, you are in serious trouble. Mr. Carter, please!! (And I ain't loading him with cream this time!!) Man, has their refusal to ackowledge Greg's masterpiece and our passion got me steamed. So steamed I feel like posting my own feelings on the top twenty-five cartoons of all time, based on personal opinion of what I've seen so far in this lifetime. Here goes:
1. Simpsons. 2. Gargoyles. 3. Batman: The Animated Series. 4. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. 5. Transformers. 6. Invasion America. 7. Looney Tunes. 8. Sailor Moon. 9. Ninja Turtles. 10. Thundercats. 11. SilverHawks. 12. The Real Ghostbusters. 13. GI Joe (the original, not its truly unspeakable sucessor, GI Joe Extreme, which was worse than TGC plot and character wise). 14. Beavis and Butthead.
15. X-Men. 16. Scooby Doo. 17. Tale Spin. 18. Duck Tales. 19. Flintstones. 20. Jetsons. 21. Spiderman. 22. Gummi Bears. 23. Bullwinkle and associates. 24. Jonny Quest (old and new series). 25. Yogi Bear and associates.
There, got that steam off my chest. Now to e-mail Wizworks and unleash more of it!
(Doug leaves, rage boiling on his features as he contemplates how exactly to make Wizworks regret its error.)

**Coyote stomps into the room, looking furious, and not just because one of Doug's muscle-bound companions just shook him down for $800 to pay for the WCC characters' pizzas.**

All right, there's something that I've just seen that has raised my ire considerably, and I'm sure it will raise yours, as well.

I just picked up a recent Wizard Press publication, "Toons," which focuses solely on animation (TV, movies, etc.). Among the features in this magazine were a list of their top 25 cartoons of all time, and an article about the voice actors on the series "Spawn" (the main one of which is your friend and mine, Keith David.).

The first thing that made me mad: In the "Spawn" article, no mention was ever made of Mr. David's previous work on "Gargoyles" or anything else, while everybody else at least had a mention of live-action films and TV series they had made.

The second one is what really did it: "Gargoyles" did NOT make their top 25 cartoons of all time!

How is this possible, you ask? They had to make room for such unspeakable crap (IMPO) as:
Dungeons & Dragons
Beavis and Butt-Head
Ren & Stimpy
Battle of the Planets
and (God help us!!) G.I. Joe.

What do we do about this? I suggest that we, the loyal fans of "Gargoyles" who love the show even though it's been off TV for over a year, deluge Wizard's E-mail box with pro-"Gargoyles" messages.

If you want to jump in, Wizard's editorial e-mail addy is:
WizWords@aol.com

Let's stand up for our favorite guys! I'm sending my message as soon as this gets posted.

Yeah Doug, there has been a Gargoyles/Beauty of the Beast crossover before. Don't know if it follows the same premise as your idea. AND FOR YOUR INFORMATION, SOME OF US HAD PERSONAL COMMITMENTS THAT KEPT US FROM GOING TO THE GATHERING, SO NO MATTER HOW HARD WE TRIED WE COULDN'T COME, SO WE WEREN'T, _REPEAT_ WE WERE NOT JUST SITTING ON OUR ASSES!
There, I feel so much better. The prozac is finally working this time.

Doug>> Yep, a Gargoyles/Beauty & The Beast crossover has been done and very well indeed. Check out "Beastly Knights" by Leva Mevis over at the gargoyles-fan.org fanfic archive. Look for her sequel to "Beastly Knights" coming soon!!

Just three things to say this time:
1. I have a fanfic idea kicking around in my head that I don't know if anyone has already done. If someone has, great, they saved me the trouble. If not, I'll be happy to turn this idea into another story. Since there are many fanfic readers prowling this page, I thought I'd ask y'all. The idea is for a Gargoyles/Beauty and the Beast crossover where Vincent meets and joins forces with the Labyrinth's other beast-men, the Mutates. Does anyone know if someone has done this already? I don't want to unknowingly copy anybody's ideas. If you know, please tell me whether or not. Thanks.
2. Message to Gore: Your costume was great, daring, excellent, hilarious. The developer guy down at Eckerds is going to freak when he sees! Now that you're home, though, you have a special mission. What is it? Get the repost and clearing features back on this page asap! I have lots of things to say, but am keeping them unsaid until their length won't make this room humongous! And I'm sure it's likewise for other people out there! Come on and make it so we can let our demons out!
3. ninth of two: Welcome to the wild, wacky, and amazing world of Gargoyles fandom! Hope the experience is an enjoyable one!!
Later all!!

Thanks everyone who responded to my request for help about the co-workers and Gargoyles ep's thing. You helped a lot. Thanks. :)

Everyone from the Gathering: Welcome back! I hope all of you plan to share your own accounts of what went on. Please! :)

Demona debate: I'm not even going to put my 2 cents into this topic. I've said the basics of my opinions on this before and I have no urges to get into the arguement. (And besides, mentioning my ideas on the topic would make my usually long posts too long even for me. <G>)

Starsinger's back! Hi Theresa! :)

TGS Staff: Out of curiosity, what's the scoop on the room being cleared? Don't worry, I'm not being impatient. I understand the reasoning for the delay (Gathering, RL, TGS work, ...). And what's the decision on the matter of the CR pics' sizes? (I noticed I was the only one (at least that I know of) that answered that question.)

(Doug walks in, dragging behind him several wagons full of pizza. He screams out an order and Coyote's many WCC characters come and relieve him of it.)
You owe me a lot of money for this, Coyote!
Here's some new stuff:
Sevarius Jr.: Geez, I didn't know I was supposed to record all that! Okay, what I usually ate for breakfast was the Big Breakfast Combo at McDonalds, and I usually got the other two meals there or at the Tick-Tock Diner next door to the hotel. I can't tell you anything about the digestive process. Here's the top five worst Gathering moments.
5. It rained the last day and I walked in it, ignoring the fact that it ruined all my book covers beyond repair until it was too late. At least my film was waterproof!
4. When Gore's 'boobs' popped at the masquerade. It was funny and all, but poor guy!
3. When Salli didn't show up. We were all so disappointed. Maybe next year...
2. Being grilled for information like this by the people who couldn't get off their asses and come!
1. Having to say goodbye to everyone when it was over and come back to Austin and real life. Augh!! For a while, I'll just be seeing everyone on the Internet!
Kathy: Part 2? I can hardly wait. Oh and by the way, I may soon write an Unseelie Ride filk. Mind if I send it to the TGS staff by e-mail? (If not, I'll just post it here.)
Shameless Plug: Anyone read my fanfic and wondered what some of the new characters look like (besides my description text)? Just e-mail me and I can send you pictures of them, even though they're ones that aren't drawn very well. Currently on file- O'Neil, Seth, Laura, all the named Commandos but three, Silvan Farrow, and the yet-to-be-introduced Changeling. Coming next when I feel like drawing them: Future World Terrorism Alliance leaders and current Iluminati high-ups Benito Cruz and Nick Mackovic. Then I'll probably do some of the Zenthrans, my universe's space spawn. But stories must come first! (Duh) (end shameless plug)
See y'all in cyberspace!
(Doug jets out, pulling the wagons behind and pursued by several very angry WCC characters who didn't like the cold pizza.)

You know people, the one thing about Demona that everyone, including me, has forgotten is: Demona is NOT human. Her value system and judgement is not human nor is her logic. When reading Christine Morgan's story of Demona and Jerico as lovers, I had to work the logic of Gargoyles don't know their own children. Yes, you can tell a lot by coloring and some facial/wing/body features. Their being lovers in the Middle ages would have been mildly scandalous, but only because of the older female/younger male scenario. Gargoyles primarily take their mates from their hatchmates, not from other memebers of their clan.
I still don't see Demona at totally evil. We never found out what the Archmage did to her to turn her off to humans. It couldn't be just the beast comments and the attitude of the humans. Something besides betraying her clan scarred her deeply. We just don't know what it was.

Does anyone have a text version of the Gargoyle font. I need it for a project and unless I can get a text version to print on my printer, I have no way of storing it. Thanks for sharing the Gathering with us. Just let everyone know when we can hit your websites for pictures of Gore as Elisa and the other wining costumes and all the fun we missed.

Alright everyone, I'm back!! From the Gathering!!
Here's a list of the best Gathering moments:
1. Getting to hear the TGS season preimere. That was excellent and a great start to the new season. I can hardly wait to find out what happens next in there. Unseelies riding down Broadway, ouch. And good news- Liz is back!
2. Gore's costume. It was very daring and hilarious. I'm not gonna say more, except that we all had a great laugh over it. I hope we see something equally as funny next year.
3. Getting to meet so many great people face to face.
4. Getting to meet Greg, and learning just how much he enjoys Gargoyles, the fandom, etc. He is one great guy, and I hope he gets to continue to do his Gargoyles project soon.
5. Greg showing us the original plans for Bad Guys and New Olympians. That was very interesting to learn and will help bring more flavor to many people's fanfic.
6. Alan and Jennifer Andersen's great Macbeth and Demona costumes. Man, did they go all out!
7. Batya's song when it was all over- "Glory, Glory, Jalapena. Glory, Glory, Jalapena. Glory, Glory, Jalapena, the fans are going home."
Sevarius Jr.: I like the Gargoyles villians, too. Especially Xanatos, who in some ways is still a bad guy. Like Greg said at the Gathering, his motives have changed but not his methods. He still has a long way to go before he can become fully a good guy. If you've read some of my fanfic, you'll know I try to show that aspect of his character as much as I can. Speaking of fanfic, I'll get back to that as soon as I can. Lots of other things to do first now that I'm back.
I'll go get started on them...Later!

Jackal> <Even though I'm not a gargoyle, I'm sittin here with my eyes hella glowin. Aris, you mean to tell me you never did a wrongful act for someone you love? >

Still young; I've not fallen in love so many times.

<Because personally, I can't say that! I may be as scrawny as Brooklyn (Pre Timedancer), but I HAVE kicked the a**es of ex-boyfriends, took a bat and busted out windows to their homes and cars, I'm not crazy, I was just doin what I was told to do by my mate, (at that time). >

Forgive me, but if you really did those things against people who've not hurt you or another, then you are a bully. I won't excuse you the same way I've not excused Demona. And if you are telling me you would kill them, the same way Demona tried to, then you are a murderer. Sorry. I'll hope this is just a misunderstanding on my part.

>> As far as that cloning thing goes, I believe it was all Thailog and he influenced Demona to be apart of it.

We've not seen any real evidence for that. It may have been a mutual decision.

< <<immobilized.. guards with a net;.. then kills them even when they can't harm her>>
They would have followed, it was to her advantage to take them out then and there. >

Ofcourse it was to her advantage! That's why people do evil things; because it's to their advantage! That's why Hitler began World War II, because he thought it would be to his advantage! But it's also morally wrong. Killing the guards who did nothing but protect a warehouse was also morally wrong.

<<Have you seen Temptation? She lied to him; and she planned to enslave Goliath forever to her will..>>
Yes, I can tell you every word and make every sound effect in that episode, I love it! But I did NOT hear Demona tell the first lie! I personally believe Demona when she said "This is only temporary, we can protect him for his naivety until we reach our goals." UNTIL WE REACH OUR GOALS!!!

Her previous words were lies, when she said that she had a spell that would make him see things clearer. She had a spell which would enslave him. She lied to Brooklyn and used him.

< <<When did Goliath or Brooklyn betray her?>>
Let's start with Goliath..., "Awakenings" part 5? When Goliath whined about seeing his human friend, he was putting the clan in danger, he did not know this woman, he plianly chose to trust this strange human over his mate! Of course that made her mad. >

That's not betrayal. And your continuously referring to her as 'human' is wrong IMO. People should be judged based on their actions, not through Demona's racist reasoning. Saying she cannot be trusted in part because she's human, is racist.

<ow Brooklyn..., He could have said, Hey I don't like this plan. Hello?!! Red flags should've went up with the mention of a spell. Brooklyn knew good and well what he was doing, and he started gettin scared as soon as everything ACTUALLY started happening, he let the fear put his a** into place. >

I've already replied to that. She had lied to him, and she saw what was truly happening.

He betrayed Demona because he got too scared, she told him "The spell required is complex." But he couldn't and wouldn't understand what Demona was trying to do.

Brooklyn acted as a buffoon prior in that episode. But his crime was one of stupidity, not one of weak morality.

< <<Demona was Goliath's second in command, she should obey him>>
Now, Demona did take the role of leader in the Airship, but why shouldn't she? She has more experince with what was going on than both Goliath and Hudson combined. >

A) Because she was not chosen, or agreed upon. One does not assume leadership B) Because her choices have been catastrophical C)Because she's evil D) Because if they were to believe her, she spent 1000 years as stone and had no more experience than they did.

< The Captin of the Gaurd situation was all Goliath's fault! >

The Captain was a traitor. The death of dozens of gargoyles is his fault and probably dozens of humans as well. And it's also Demona's fault, who was too coward to warn off Coldstone and the others, but taking herself to safety nonetheless.

Sevarius Jr> How many episodes have you seen with Xanatos after he turned good? None. A couple of episodes showed him briefly, and he wasn't central to either. Demona turning good could also be very well done. Her hatred, like in Castaway's case, is mostly self-hatred though she doesn't understand it yet. Her understanding this could be the key to her salvation.

Theresa> I think that the way TGS handled Demona is one of its greatest flaws. They've made her (and Xanatos IMO) far too good. Mistreating her employees frankly isn't good enough. She's still quite evil and should be presented as such...

Greetings>> 16,000 people have come to the TGS site since the counter was set. That's a lot of hits people. Not all of them coming to this room.
Demona betrayed her clan by going behind the back of her leader Goliath. She conspired with the Captain of the Guard to betray her protectorate, the castle and the people in it. You say Goliath had to no reason to trust Elisa. When he was vulnerable during the day and the Goon Squad loose,
she stayed with him. She didn't know he turned to stone during the day, she only knew that he needed to be kept safe. I think that shows that Elisa early on, had the beginings of a true gargoyle friend. Demona started it. She sure did. She was born and everything she did was dependent on that little know biological fact. If she hadn't been born none of this could have happened. (Next story.)

It's late/early should be in bed but can't sleep.

Wow... finally back from the Gathering.

I think I am still in shock from last nights events. I knew I had a kick tail costume... but I NEVER in a million years expected to win the art show. I was up against the best of the best. Christi, Aimee, Kanth, RW.... wow. Well, my win there is a tribute to them all. If it wasnt for their influence I may have never picked up a pencil again... So I just want to tell them all thanks...

Gathering 1999!!! Well, we got the bid. I think we have some great leaders and organizers on the G99 staff and I am really looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to this.

My e-mail calleth... Talk to everyone soon!

Even though I'm not a gargoyle, I'm sittin here with my eyes hella glowin. Aris, you mean to tell me you never did a wrongful act for someone you love? Because personally, I can't say that! I may be as scrawny as Brooklyn (Pre Timedancer), but I HAVE kicked the a**es of ex-boyfriends, took a bat and busted out windows to their homes and cars, I'm not crazy, I was just doin what I was told to do by my mate, (at that time). So forgive me if I don't see what Demona was doing wrong! I'm by no means a bad person, I'm also by no means a perfect person, I got my flaws and my worse one is my temper, (which my baby daughter is startin to develop), so you can forgive me if I take a liking to Demona and Brooklyn! As far as that cloning thing goes, I believe it was all Thailog and he influenced Demona to be apart of it.
<<immobilized.. guards with a net;.. then kills them even when they can't harm her>>
They would have followed, it was to her advantage to take them out then and there.
I believe that, I have yet to hear Demona tell a lie. Aside from explaining how she survived all those centuries.
<<When did Goliath or Brooklyn betray her?>>
Let's start with Goliath..., "Awakenings" part 5? When Goliath whined about seeing his human friend, he was putting the clan in danger, he did not know this woman, he plianly chose to trust this strange human over his mate! Of course that made her mad. Now Brooklyn..., He could have said, Hey I don't like this plan. Hello?!! Red flags should've went up with the mention of a spell. Brooklyn knew good and well what he was doing, and he started gettin scared as soon as everything ACTUALLY started happening, he let the fear put his a** into place. He betrayed Demona because he got too scared, she told him "The spell required is complex." But he couldn't and wouldn't understand what Demona was trying to do.
<<Demona was Goliath's second in command, she should obey him>>
Now, Demona did take the role of leader in the Airship, but why shouldn't she? She has more experince with what was going on than both Goliath and Hudson combined.
<<It's your own explanation that's very weak IMO.>>
Every explaintion I have is "weak", that's because I like for people to use their brains and figure out what's being said...... The Captin of the Gaurd situation was all Goliath's fault!
<<Was I the only one cheering when she fell off the dam into the water? & Are Jackal and I the only guys in here who like the bad guys>>
Heh heh, though I don't wish Elisa dead, I could care LESS if she died! As a matter of fact, (I'm not tryin to build this up or tear it down before it begins), but in my fanfics, I purposely avoid Elisa where ever possible! As far as bad guys go, I'm gonna love to see what yall think about my original characters, because by the simple defintion of what yall interpert to be evil, Every..... Single..... Last.... One of my characters is evil. They say write what you know, what's that sayin about me? I'll be the frist to tell ya, I have a very dark series, Hell, I've written stories holding a cross! (I'm kidding)
<<what in hell are gargoyles?>>

**Coyote enters the room, knuckles bleeding.**

No, this isn't from my car ... I've been doing an awful lot of drawing lately, trying to catch up on pics promised to WCC folks!

ninth_of_two: You're a new face around here, aren't you? Allow me to be the first to welcome you (if somebody else hasn't beaten me to it ;)). And to answer your questions ...

1) Gargoyles lasted two seasons in syndication, after which a third season called "The Goliath Chronicles" (which most fans agree wasn't really the best the concept had to offer) aired on Saturday mornings on ABC. But because of some programming concerns brought up by the Disney-appointed head of ABC's children's programming (who said outright that Gargoyles was a show that was "not meant for children to watch," despite a lot of educational content), it was canceled. The series has only seen the light of day as of late on USA Network, who has been rerunning the first two seasons. (An aside -- according to gargoyles-fans.org, Gargoyles is being moved to Toon Disney in the fall ... where does that leave us Toon Disney-less folks?!)

Anyway, I'm rambling (as usual, just ask some of the folks around here!). The point is that the only way Gargoyles has been kept alive is through the efforts of fanfiction writers, a lot of which comprise the staff of "The Gargoyles Chronicles," who follow the creator's original plan for the series and continue where the second season left off.

2) That was just an incredible coincidence. Originally, it was just the two (Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes), but it soon branched out to other Starfleet vets (Nichelle Nichols (incidentally, I believe she was the only TOS Trekker to do a voice.), Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner, Avery Brooks, and even a pre-Voyager Kate Mulgrew). I don't really know if that was just a coicidence or if it was done by design, but I thought (IMHO) that was one of the coolest parts of the series, all of these recognizable voices showing up.

Hope that answers your questions. Some of the other folks here could probably answer them better than I can, I'm just standing out here on the fringe of things ...

Yeah, uh.. one more thing. Why are the characters on the show voiced by Star Trek people? I don't really expect anyone to know or to care but I'd asked anyways. So..yeah. That's it. Unless I forgot to mention something in which case, I'll be back to make up for.

Do I have to write something long? Cause I don't know what to say. And I'll feel obligated to talk about nothing in particular just so I can take up space because that's what everyone else did. But yeah, no. That's not what I wanted to say. It's more of a question than a comment, really. What happened to the Gargoyles now? I don't see any new episodes. If you have any idea where or how I can get anything on this, please e-mail me or post back. Whichever. Thanks. :)

Spike>> You got to play that thrilling spectator sport in NYC. Dodge car. We play it alot out here in Albuquerque. Thanks also for giving us who had to stay behind, something enjoyable to read. The Impossible Dream was a delight, as well as the character outakes. (Spike flirting with Elisa and Goliath's being sooo upset *snicker*.

On the question of Demona's redemtion. You can be redeemed, but you have to be willing to make some hard and fast changes in your life. Demona is not yet at that stage. (Using the TGS series as background.) Reread how she is treating her employees at Nightstone. She has only toned down her hatred, not given it up. It took a lot out of her to call Elisa and ask about Angela. It would take very little for her to go berserk again. Right now Demona's on a hair edge. A little more kindness from the clan and Angela and while she could never go back to her innocence of a thousand years ago, she could activly stop hating humans. (Might take another thousand years.) Something happens to Angela and she would snap. And I don't think even the clan or Macbeth could stop her at that point.
My thoughts about a real complex character.

What I don't understand, is why people always want the bad guys to be good. Okay, sometimes it works--Like Dingo. He's now a good guy. But some characters are just plain better as villains. Case in pont--Demona. As soon as she starts reevaluating killing humanity because of Angela-BOOM! Instant snore factor. She's ten times more interesting as a villain.

Don't think I'm right? Take Xanatos for example. He was such a friggin' cool bad guy. Now what does he do? Nothing much. Now I realize that he's got a family, and that being evil isn't much his first priority, but frankly, as soon as he switched jerseys to the side of angels, he didn't have that big a role in the show.

Geez...Are Jackal and I the only guys in here who like the bad guys?

Jackal> I agree with you on Gillecomgain. He's evil, far more evil than Demona. More so, since his crimes were done against people who had not hurt him at all (like Findlaech and Macbeth). He didn't even have Demona's conviction that all of humanity is to be blamed. His immediate genocidal wish for revenge far outweighed his injury by Demona and cannot be excused by it. When I said 'innocent' I meant not 'innocent in the heart, good-hearted' I meant it as 'not guilty of anything yet'. Gillecomgain (and Duncan) were in my opinion beyond redemption (unlike Demona) since many of their crimes were not motivated by revenge or hatred.

Canmore in my opinion is a different case. Though he betrayed Demona and destroyed her clan, his war against Macbeth could be considered an honorable one, since Macbeth killed his father and exiled him. I can understand him if as a child he could not (or did not want to) see that it was his own father that was in the wrong side. His not killing Gruoch also suggests that deep down he was honourable.

I also agree that the last three hunters (as well as their father) were good guys thrust into a tragedy they didn't deserve.

Sevarius Jr. and Ravyn Maza> I'd disagree of your 'totally evil' estimation concerning Demona. Thailog, the Archmage... those could be considered all evil. But the series has done a great job in showing us that Demona is a enemy to be pitied rather than hated, one who has created her own tragedy; and ultimately one not beyond redemption.

Oh my goodness! How can you all hate Elisa? She was my favorite character from the show! As for Demona, she made a great bad guy, but let's face it, she was an evil psycho. She became _way_ too obsessed with killing humanity and that led to the death of her clan and tons of other sorrow. And guys, Demona rejected Goliath (as seen in "Vows"), so why shouldn't he be with Elisa instead of Demona? I think Goliath deserves someone like Elisa and if that makes the psycho Demona jealous, well then so be it. I wouldn't mind seeing Demona come back to the world of the sane, but she's a pretty evil gal on my list right now.

I don't know that I'd consider Gillecomgain all that "innocent", Aris. While I certainly don't condone Demona attacking him (it struck me as a deliberate act of vengeance rather than just self-defense), I'd still consider him a nasty piece of work, on this grounds: he wanted revenge (almost immediately after Demona attacked him), not just against Demona, but against her entire species, regardless of guilt or innocence. That's one thing that made me find it difficult to really feel sorry for him. Another reason was the fact that he didn't just want to destroy Demona in vengeance; he also wanted power. He willingly served as Duncan's hired assassin in murdering Findlaech, and eagerly took Findlaech's lands and title (which he had no legal right to) afterwards. And as for the hints that we got about his marriage to Gruoch (such as the bit where he crushed her rose underfoot) - suffice it to say that he was a real rotter, beyond the mere consequences of being attacked by a gargoyle in youth.

Incidentally, has anybody noticed that the Hunters in some ways got better over the centuries? The first three Hunters, Gillecomgain, Duncan, and Canmore, were all scoundrels, who thirsted for power as well as for the destruction of the gargoyle race, and when they got it, wielded it like tyrants. In fact, a lot of Duncan and Canmore's part of the Hunt seemed more like a cover for their feud with Clan Moray over the succession to the Scottish throne (although I got the feeling that neither of them liked gargoyles much anyway) than a genuine anti-gargoyle crusade. Duncan and Gillecomgain even betrayed each other.

But Jason, Robyn, and Jon felt more like basically decent people who had been trapped by a horrible family tradition; they hunted gargoyles because they believed it to be their duty (particularly after Demona killed their dad in Paris), and had no ulterior motives of the sort that Duncan and Canmore had. Jason certainly had enough humanity in him to get seriously involved with Elisa in a genuine relationship (and it says a lot about him that he chose to concentrate on saving her at the clock tower rather than joining Jon in making certain that the gargoyles didn't escape the explosion), and until he went insane and became Castaway, Jon did clearly show a conscience, even though he didn't have the strength enough to follow it. Whatever you can say about the Canmores of "Hunter's Moon", they had much more honor and integrity than their 11th century ancestors.

Howdy!
Just back from Gathering 1998 and **sniff** taking my big 1st grader to school, so I'm not feeling particularly verbose at the moment. However, it was a lot of fun seeing what everyone looked like in person and I hope people were not too disappointed by the sight of plain li'l ole me. I discovered that those white dashed lines painted on the streets of NYC are solely for decoration because they practice freeform driving there! I got to hear part of the TGS reading but didn't get to stay for the Q&A. Somehow I got volunteered to be Con Suite hostess then. (I was surprised at how often G98 staffers came after me with a clipboard and saying "...um, Spike?")

I abandoned the G98 Central Park tour to go through Metropolitan Museum of Art, where I lost about 3 hours going through the exhibits. *L* It caused a minor panic back at the hotel because when the tour got back, no one knew where I was and it was well-known that I had a plane to catch. (Which I did, by the skin of my teeth. I checked in at the same moment that they started boarding the plane!)

I have to say this: Chris Rogers and Gorebash are two REALLY good-looking webmasters. *L* I've got a picture of Doug dressed as Richard Harrison from "Turncoat" which I'll put up as soon as I finish up that roll of film.

Here's my reply. Btw, despite what I say below, I don't believe she's beyond redemption (meaning she could turn good), only that she's guilty for her crimes and though I understand her I could never excuse or really forgive her. (Mainly because the taking of even a single life is something irreversible)

<She was blindly in love and would have done anything for Thailog.>>

a) Not an excuse. Many people are blindly in love; they don't go into criminal and unethical activities. And don't forget that she fell in love with Thailog *because* he didn't have Goliath's annoying morality. At the end he ended up being more evil than even she could stomach; but that doesn't mean she can be excused for what she did.
b) Was it ever said that Thailog was the one to think of the plan? How do we know that she didn't originate it?

<<I'm not gonna discuss City of Stone...>>

Why? I think that's the ultimate Demona episode, showing both her evil and her reasons for it, and even glimpses of an ultimate redemption. She killed tens, possibly hundreds of people, in cold blood; both the stone statues and in the various flashbacks.

<<but the others were so that she could survive.>>

Not always. If I remember correctly in the 11th century flashback the gargoyles she led first immobilized the guards with a net; and then she kills them even when they can't harm her.
< <<She's shattered the trust in both Brooklyn and Goliath, betraying them personally..>>

They betrayed HER. As much as I like Brooklyn, yes, he betrayed HER! >

EXCUSE ME!?!? Have you seen Temptation? She lied to him; and she planned to enslave Goliath forever to her will, making him nothing more that a soulless robot! When did Goliath or Brooklyn betray her? Was it when Brooklyn objected to having his leader for all intents and purposes killed?

And btw, since Demona was Goliath's second in command, she should obey him, not vice versa. She betrayed him in Awakening.

< <<If we went with that logic, then the Archmage really wanted to die in Avalon Pt.3>>

Your only understanding the surface meaning of my words. >

It's your own explanation that's very weak IMO. She told her plan, so that Goliath would jump over her to take the statue and break it, so that she would have an excuse not to drop the vial? Please... She told her plan because she believed that they couldn't possibly stop her. Goliath's unexpected action managed to; something she couldn't have predicted. And even after that, she threw it in the air; endangering both all Gargoyles and all humanity.

<<If it is that I'm-jealous-because-he-used-to-be-mine-and-now-he-is-yours thing, I just don't buy it!>>

Wouldn't you be mad? You wait thousand years for your man and some human bimbo gets him? I'd want to kill her too!

A) Elisa didn't have Goliath at that point of time.
B) There's a great difference between wanting to kill someone and doing it. Demona shot Elisa and would have killed her if it wasn't for Elisa's luck. She attempted to kill another; and there's no excuse for that. I wouldn't go around killing the boyfriends of my ex-girlfriends.

Here are a few more of her crimes: Trying to kill Goliath with a bazooka, conspiring to have Macbeth fall in love with her, so as to take his money and then imprison him for all eternity... attacking an innocent boy in City of Stone... asking Puck to destroy all of humanity, and then Elisa personally... creating the clones whose intellects and education were deliberately designed inferior. (so as to have her very own slave clan)

And we can always go back to her very first crime where she cooperated with the Captain of the Guard to leave the castle defenseless; and betray her clan and castle.

Demona's explanation> To me, the obvious reason is this:
a) She knew the clan would be against this, because of their role as protector.
b) She did not believe that there was any way for them to stop her. If someone attempted to grab the vial from her, she could simply break it open.
c) She wanted them to know exactly what was about to happen, so when humans started dropping like flies, they'd know why and who was responsible; perhaps she even thought she'd be hailed as a hero afterwards.

Demona IS the hero of her personal universe; she sees herself as being in an endless, one-Gargoyle fight against the humans, who are universally evil and despicable creatures. But there are things she's done every bit as despicable as the deeds of the humans she's fought against.

I seem to have time for this, so here I go...., Todd, I've read something to that effect, and that maybe true, but this statement...
<<perhaps he and his clan would have let Demona succeed in her genocidal scheme>>
Can you tell what Brooklyn was doing then? But yeah, she may have thought that Goliath was like, f*** humans, now.
<<I don't believe the explain the plan away defense. What villian hasn't explained their plan.>>
I don't, and villians I create don't. And if they do, they tell you by not telling you...., (it's a long story).
<<Xanatos really wanted to be foiled at every instance>>
From what I can remember, Xanatos rarely told the clan of his intention, we may have heard when he was talking to Owen or someone.
<<A guilty conscious isn't punishment>>
It can be, depends on the situation.
<<It is true you can justify anything, if you're distracted from the facts.>>
Facts can be bended in more wayz than fiction. Take prayer for instance, some people can justify (tell you facts) why you need it in your life, other people can justify (tell you facts) why you don't need it in your life. So who's the one that's "distracted"?

49 days until the Rising.

I've sometimes wondered if Demona's little revelation of her plans in "Hunter's Moon Part Three" may have come in part from the fact that she could have believed that she'd finally converted the clan to her way of thinking. Remember that when she'd last seen Goliath (during the fight on the Hunters' airship) he was all out to destroy the Hunters for revenge, and had forgotten about protecting the city. And the gargoyles had come to St. Damien's Cathedral for the purpose of killing Robyn and Jon Canmore, *and* the place was now surrounded by humans who wanted to kill them. Maybe Demona believed that she'd actually convinced the clan to hate humans at last. And it's just possible that if Elisa and Jason hadn't shown up when they had, if Goliath had still believed Elisa to be dead, that perhaps he and his clan would have let Demona succeed in her genocidal scheme, having been sufficiently embittered against humanity by the fact that they were now hated and actively hunted by the entire city.

<<She violated the members of her former clan, taken their DNA and creating the clones.>>
She was blindly in love and would have done anything for Thailog.
<<She killed numerous people from the bystanders in City of Stone, to the Canmores father, to simple guards in the 11th century.>>
I'm not gonna discuss City of Stone..., but the others were so that she could survive.
<<She's defiled another clan member, bring him back to life and casting three souls to a quasi life in Coldstone.>>
She didn't really know that was gonna happen....

They betrayed HER. As much as I like Brooklyn, yes, he betrayed HER!

Ah, but Taleweaver, everything changed for Demona when she found out about Angela. She tried to destroy The Clan, but when it came down to it, she did the right thing. In Hunter's Moon, she wasn't trying to hurt Gargoyles, only humans, and who's to say with magic, that she would die too. Maybe the magic that links her with Macbeth would save him instead of killing her. Anyway, you try living alone for 1000 years, with only people who hate and betray you.
But I do have to say, Jackel, I don't think Demona has much of a right to be mad at Elisa. If it is that I'm-jealous-because-he-used-to-be-mine-and-now-he-is-yours thing, I just don't buy it! I mean, she kinda blew any chance she had with Goliath first when she betrayed the clan, then when she tried to blow him up in Awakenings. Seriously, you can only give a women so many chances...
Ordell, do you mean fav recouring character in just Gargoyles, or in all 4 series?
On that note, I have finally finished Dark Ages and I am well into Pendragon. At this pace I'll probably finish just in time for The Rising. School and work first.

No one wins in these Demona debates, but since the comment room is pretty quiet. I'll jump into the quagmire again. What is Demona guilty of? She violated the members of her former clan, taken their DNA and creating the clones. She killed numerous people from the bystanders in City of Stone, to the Canmores father, to simple guards in the 11th century. She's defiled another clan member, bring him back to life and casting three souls to a quasi life in Coldstone. She's shattered the trust in both Brooklyn and Goliath, betraying them personally, Goliath twice. The list goes on. I'm unconvinced Demona's a good person deep down. One reason, she's had many chances to turn good and never took them. Goliath reached out to her Long Way, and again in Vows. I don't believe the explain the plan away defense. What villian hasn't explained their plan. If we went with that logic, then the Archmage really wanted to die in Avalon Pt.3. He just didn't want to do it himself. Xanatos really wanted to be foiled at every instance. And Oberon really wanted to be humiliated and defeated. Would Demona die from the virus? My vote is yes. The virus was harmless, a carrying agent. The DI 7 was harmless, a cleaner. The spell was harmless, until cast on holy ground on Hunter's Moon. Demona put them all together and made them deadly. Just like an unloaded gun and bullet are both harmless until someone puts the two together, points and fires. And spells aren't deeply philosophical. It would follow the surface logic. MacBeth is dead > what killed him? The virus > Where did the virus come from > Demona! Demona dies. Any way genocide is an all consuming thing. If not the virus certainly something else. I know many like the idea of Demona redeaming herself. But oten the redemption comes without accountability. A guilty conscious isn't punishment. If all it took for a criminal to get off was to say "I feel really bad about it" There'd be riots in the streets. Maybe it's the dragon part of me that takes such a draconian stance on this. It is true you can justify anything, if you're distracted from the facts. The facts point to Demona being more evil than good. She'll get no succor from me.

Aris, YOUR definition of "Involuntary" would be if Goliath tripped up, and.... made it a bad day for humanity. OK. My definition of "Involuntary", Jackal's dictionary states: "An intentional act done without an individual's voluntary participation."
Let me explain..., Oh, hey Firestorm!!! Anyway, I know this may not make sense to "normal" people. If I was in a heated argument and I pull out a fully loaded gun, aim it at my opponent and continue arguing with the opponent, then I have no purpose in using that gun, the only reason that gun is there, is for the intention of scaring the other person. Now, if I'm still aiming my weapon at my opponent, and get so caught up in the moment, I pull the trigger, that gun shot is an involuntary act from me. My intention was not kill the other person, if it was, I would have shot 'im the second I pulled that gun out.
Let me explain it like this, if there's still a question...., Demona and her "Dooms Day Vile". All right, if she REALLY wanted to kill off humanity, the split second she saw Goliath she would've dropped that vile like it was the plague.... (you know what I mean). Demona knows good well that Goliath is gonna stop her, she's too smart to see past that! But wait a minute! What was her reason for delaying? Only Demona really knows, but the way I see it is like this, her thought process, deep down, was like "This is wrong, you know you ain't suppose to be doin this." So her good side took over and when it did, the good side in her got her to show off just how smart she was by explaining her plan to the clan. I know what you're thinking, "What kind of good side is that?" I know people like this..., They will tell you what bad thing they want to do, because, though they don't say it, they want you to stop them for doing it. You know what I sayin, right? Hell, I'm one of those people! There's one real life situation that comes to mind, to help better explain, let me tell ya..., I won't be detailed about it, for my own reasons.
Anywayz, there was this dude that pissed me off royally and would not get off my lawn. I turn around to go inside and get a (weapon of my choice), while I'm doin that, I repeatedly say, "I'm gonna kill this mutha*****". When I walk back outside my sister's like, Hold up, whatcha doin?! And I repeat seemingly the only words in my vocabulary, which is the phrase stated above. Needless to say I'm stopped and all returns to normal. If I had a true intention of killing that person, I wouldn't have said a word and just done it.
Now, genocide, as Tupac would say, "When we ride on our own kind", I personally believe Demona is not guilty of. I maybe guilty of ending a sentence with a preposition, but that has nothing to do with nothing, so just ignore that. Anyway, upon evaluating this situation, I've come to the conclusion that Demona is not genocidal as much as she may be homicidal, but even that "homicide" is involuntary. How many people did I just confuse, not counting me?
I guess it's true....., anything can be rationalized, everything can be justified, any other thing is neutralized. But seriously, what crimes is she guilty of? She hasn't done anything REALLY wrong, aside from shooting Elisa with that posion dart thingy, and she has every reason in the world to be mad at Elisa.

Okay, I've been going a little postal here. I wasn't able to go to the Gathering. And the whole weekend, I've been stuck at home taking care of my younger sister (she's got the flu or sumthin'). Static-Pulse> Someone asked Greg this; the answer depends on a few factors, subjective ones. Demona doesn't necessarily intend to kill Macbeth specifically, nor does she do so directly; the virus is what would kill him. Thus, it depends on whether or not she's directly culpable from the spell's perspective for his death.

Don't really have much else to say right now. People who didn't go to the Gathering: I'll be getting my camera back Wednesday, should have the pictures Friday... don't know when I'll be able to get them scanned, but hopefully within the next couple of weeks.

This might be an oldie, but I'm curious:

Q: If all the humans were wiped out in Hunter's Moon, would Demona die too. I'm figuring this because MacBeth is human, so he'd be killed by Demona and thus she'd die ala the curse.

ARIS - Well, it's actually the Avalon Archives staff who "update" the "Gargoyles Guide"; I just e-mail them the various sections, and they post them for me. So if the Guide goes for a long time without being updated, that generally means that the Avalon Archives staff haven't managed to get to it yet. (And, with the Gathering taking place this weekend, they obviously wouldn't have that much opportunity to do so for a while).

At any rate, thanks for the kind words on the Gargoyles Guide, which, on the whole, I enjoyed writing. Perhaps my favorite parts were the bits on the real-world background for the various myths and legends. That's one of the things that I've most enjoyed about "Gargoyles", in fact; it made use of "real" legends, and did so in a generally serious and dignified manner (though you've got to admit that a good number of the legendary beings in that series were anything but serious - take Puck, for instance:). Something that few television series, live-action or animation, have done, and that's one reason why I miss "Gargoyles".

Jackal> Well, frankly, involuntary genocide would be if Goliath had tripped and dropped the bottle with the virus in Hunter's Moon. Demona on the other hand is quite willing to kill off all of the human race. If we had to go and find what she wants deep deep down... well everyone would be considered innocent that way. There's still good inside her; however that doesn't mean that she's not guilty for her crimes.

Todd> I'm gonna change mental gears and play the really annoying and impatient fanboy: When are you gonna update your guide to the Gargoyles Universe? I mean, 'A' and halfway through 'B' is fine and all, but there are 24 and a half letters left in the alphabet! YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION MISTER!(Sorry just joking. You know that, right? Right...?) Anyway, I only recently read your guide and it's great so far. The way you've taken all of the info of the series, and combined it with the Ask Greg tidbits, and the real world myths. Nice... Very nice. Can't wait to read the rest.

COYOTE - I don't think that "The Thrill of the Hunt" is that preachy or cutesy in tone. Maybe it's not especially profound, compared to "City of Stone" or "Hunter's Moon", but it's still reasonably fun (especially the bit where Billy and Susan interrupt the Pack to ask for their autographs just when they're about to finish off Goliath and Lexington).

Hmm...I like all the Gargoyles episodes, but if I had to pick some to show to someone to get them hooked on the show, I would go with Awakenings, Deadly Force, The Mirror, City of Stone, Future Tense (although I do agree that one should be familiar with all the characters before they can really enjoy this episode), and Hunter's Moon.

**Coyote enters the room, dressed to the nines in his new $350 suit.**

I'd better look good in this, the store said there were only 6 in existence in North America that were my size!

Recommended episodes: I can only vouch for my personal favorites, but here goes:

"Awakening" (TV version)
"Deadly Force"
"City of Stone"
"Protection"
"Avalon"
"The Green"
"Sentinel" (this one is obvious, most of my fanfiction branches off from it!!)
"Bushido"
"The Gathering"
"Turf"
and last, but certainly not least, "Hunter's Moon"

That should get them started. However, there are a few I can think of that you should avoid if you don't want them to think it trite. (I've asked my own co-workers about "Gargoyles," and he said the ep he saw looked very cliche.) Among them, the one that should absolutely be avoided when introducing newbies to Gargoyles is "Thrill of the Hunt," mainly because of its preachy-cutesie-Disney-can't-be-
violent-we-have-two-year-olds-watching tone.

Hope that helps. Please excuse me now, I have to get ready to go to a wedding (not my own.).

"Hi, welcome to the show..., Jackal umm, what is it you love about this gargoyle?" *Jackal smiles* "Well Jerry, I'm gonna tell it like it is..., Her *BEEP* is the bomb!" *Some of the crowd is sickened, some laugh, others yell profanities* "I ain't gonna lie! No human female can compare!" *Jerry walks closer to the stage*
"So you have been.... Intimate with this gargoyle?" *Jackal throws his hands up*
"You can take what I said however way you wanna take it."
"What makes this situation even more strange, is that she hates humans, is that correct?" *Jackal shifts in his chair*
"Well..., in her defense, let me put it like this. Most people hate insects, right, but when they see a butterfly, they're like, aww look at the lovely butterfly. Even though that person may hate the hell outta insects, they're showin love for that butterfly, ya know what I'm sayin? To her..., I'm like the butterfly of the human race!"
*In the audience, a lady stands up* "You ain't *BEEP*!" *The crowd laughs*
*Jerry turns to the audience* "And what's even more shocking, there seems to be a love triangle with her..., involving another human! Let's bring him out..., Sevarius Junior, everybody!!!" *Jackal begins to take off his shoe*......}}
I'd love to go on with this, but due to the increasing size of the CR, I won't.

Let's evaluate this "Demona's genocidal" thing. If I was to give it a name, I would say "Involuntary Genocide", regaurdless of the situation, because I don't feel Demona really means or wants to hurt anyone, I can pretty much understand the way she thinks, (as scary as that may be). If you want me to, I can explain this....

It looks slow over here too.

To all at the Gathering or who soon will be: Have a great time!

To all left behind: I'm not at the Gathering either. To top it off Fire Storm is at the Gathering without me. I'm glad he went though. I miss him more than I am upset in not going. I'm not that upset about not going to the Gathering. But I probably will be as soon as I hear what went on there. Oh well. I'll be there next year.

Brian: I don't understand why you say you won't ever be able to go to a Gathering in the future. Surely there is some way you will be able to go. Maybe I just don't understand your situation. Can you please explain why you won't ever be able to go?

Spike: That should be good news to Fire Storm. He's been fretting for weeks now about no new stories from you. You don't know how many times he checked your site only to find out it wasn't up yet. Shame on you for taking so long! <g>

Mandi and Coyote: Heh, you should see Fire Storm's co-workers. Many of them think the whole situation is utterly ridiculous. They find Fire Storm's urge to go very amusing. Actually, I'm pretty sure they find the whole concept of the Gathering as being utterly ridiculous. They probably would laugh at anyone who decided to go. It's obvious that none of them have ever seen "Gargoyles".

Fire Storm and I have this idea to see if his co-workers will give the show some credit. When Fire Storm returns from the Gathering, he'll play some episodes for them to show them what the show is like. But we need your help. What episodes do you think Fire Storm should show to his co-workers to sway their opinion? We thought of the "Awakening" episodes but aren't sure yet. What do you think? What episodes would you recommend as having the best feel of what the show is about? Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Geez, I'm only in Bel Air anyway, and that's closer than Baltimore...

It took about a month of persuading and yelling to get her to check into a different hotel with her fiancee and leave me alone during the weekend. (Then again, this is the woman who thought the Gathering was a writers' con for months until I told her for the fifth time it was a GARGOYLES convention!) Sorry. End of rant. I'm tired and have been whining overtime to get to go without Mom hovering over me the whole time. Suggest the hotel idea to your folks for next year.

BTW, the minute you hear about Gathering '99 registration, pester your folks and use all your arguments ahead of time. I waited until April to stand up to Mom. The problem my folks had with it was how I got there; they were aware that I would be fine once I got to the hotel itself and was in.

Before you consider killing me for getting to go to the Gathering, consider this: I'm going to be going up there tomorrow via a 3 1/2 hour car ride with Mom and fiancee who still don't know why I'm making such a big deal about a cartoon. Parents, so unenlightened... :)

Well , all Gathering goers , I am really happy for you , peace be the journey , and if you waste the opertunity , I swear on all that's holy I WILL FIND YOU , and you will be made to suffer . Sorry , another vent for frustration , I notice that everyone else who is'nt going to the gathering stands a chance of going in the future , but my chances are slim at best . But you wanna know what REALLY TICKS ME OFF , I'm not going to be that far away , Baltimore to be exact , but I have to keep mother company , otherwise I'd hop on a greyhound and spend at least one day there . Oh well .
I want a detiled account of your activities and a lot of pictures .
Tip : If you have a costume ball again , and if their avilable , get some glow in the dark contacts , that should be really cool .

Hi again!
Sevarius Jr.>>New World Order, huh? Heh, heh...
Coyote>>It _is_ fun to see Hulk Hogan get beat up. I'll admit, I used to like him a long time ago, but now I just delight in watching him get beat up first by Karl Malone and now by Leno. Oh, well, I'll quit talking about pro wrestling now. By the way, great job on another wonderful addition to the Clan Manhattan storyline! I don't want to give anything away for people who haven't read it, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised!
And everyone that's heading off to the Gathering: Have a great time, safe journey, and happy trails!
Everyone else that's staying behind: Hope to talk to you around in here. Maybe we can have our own pretend Gathering over the computer or something. What do you think? Anyway, I've got to ride off into the sunset for now. See ya!

**Coyote enters the room wearing a black T-shirt that reads "Leno 3:16" across the front in white block letters.**

Can't help it, I just think it's _really_ funny to see Hulk Hogan get his you-know-what kicked by Jay Leno, of all people!!

I'll answer some of the survey, I don't want to take up too much space here (what with the room not emptying and all.).

What do you do to your computer when it misbehaves?> Turn the air around me blue with the cusswords I pitch at the beastly machine.
What do you do if it talks back?> See above.
What does it say when it fouls up?> "I SAID QUIET, OR ELSE I KILL THE BUNNY!!" No joke, I set it for that. (It has more sedate garg sounds for startup, shutdown and critical stop.)
Zodiac sign?>I'm an early-season Libra.

About the Gathering: I may not be there in person, but believe me, every time I feel my ears burning this weekend I'll know somebody's there talking about me or G:CM.

And speaking of G:CM: (begin shameless plug) there's a new story up at my site. Follow my name to go to it, if you're interested. Many surprises in store for you if you do! (end shameless plug)

Okay, that's it. I'm too tired for this. 'Til tomorrow, folks!

**Coyote turns to leave, only to fall flat on his face, asleep. Rosanna, Samson, Pontiac and Liberty come in the room to pick him up and carry him the rest of the way out the door.**

Alright everybody, it's survey time!

What do you do when your computer acts disobediently? I'm hurt. I mean hey, I care for it, feed it, love it, and it treats me like THIS? Then comes the anger. Then acceptance.
What do you do when it talks back to you? Usually I run around the room like a little girlie man screaming my head off.
What does it say? "I'm sorry, but I can't do that, Dave."
What do you do to punish it? Sometimes only a spanking will work.
What's your hobbies? Reading, writing (when I get around to it), watching TV, sports, hanging out with my friends. And secretly leading the New World Order, which will devour the earth.
Favorite Activities: Pretty much same as above.
What's your Zodiac sign? I'm a Scorpio. And I AM completely crazy.
What's your element? Beats me. Fire I guess?
Favorite Quote: "No poor dumb bastard has ever won a war by dying for his country. He wins a war my making the other poor dumb bastard die for his."--General Patton
Most Annoying Pet Peeve: Well this is too numerous for me to list. Probably the biggest is people who smack their lips when they eat. For some reason, this will send me into a completely homicidal rage.
Favorite Animal Pet Name: King (my dog's name)
Least fave animal pet name: Anything real cutesy. You know, like these blue-haired old ladies with poodles named "Snuggles" or "Fluffy".
Favorite type of Pet: Dogs are truly man's best friend. And German shepherds are my fave.
Least fave type of pet: Snakes. They're not cute, cuddly, or friendly. Remember a little something that happened in the Garden of Eden?
Fave Gargoyle joke: Like Doug said, the Jalapena gag is pretty funny. And most anything Brooklyn says is cool.
Fave jokes to tell people: Okay, a guy walks into a bar, takes a seat, and pulls out this 12 inch man from his pocket...um, no wait, I can't tell that one, um....Okay, this guy and his wife are driving in the country, when they see a sign that says COW FOR SALE: $5000, and....oh crap, can't tell that one either. Okay, wanna hear a dirty joke? A white horse fell in the mud. Bwah ha ha.
Fave comp game: Don't play them since my Donkey Kong konked out. But I like Final Fantasy 7 and Resident Evil. Turn those into movies!
Fave Magazine: I could lie and say something intellectual like "Time" or "The New Yorker", but I mainly read "Wizard: The Guide to Comics".
Fave Words: When I'm happy, Klaatu Barata Niktu. When I'm unhappy, well, I can't print those here.
What's the color of your blankie: I'm a little old for that....okay, it's blue, ya happy now?
How often do I visit this page: Couple times a day.
How often do I visit other Gargoyle sites: At least a couple times a week.
Why do female Gargoyles have such thin waists: I have no idea, but I ain't complaining!
What are a group of Gargoyles/garg-beasts called? I'm gonna skip this question, cause my hands are getting tired.
What do you think Puck would do to Demona this time around? Hopefully turn her into Marina Sirtis, and make her my next door neighbor ;-)
Why did the Gargoyle cross the road: To use the bathroom. Eating all those jalapenos can play murder on your stomach.
Why do pens dry up and leak when you need them the most? I'm blaming aliens for this one.
Why do bad things happen in groups? Cause that's the way bad luck goes.
Is the grass always greener on someone else's lawn? Yes, except for my uncle Jimmy. Word to the wise: Nitrate is used to fertilize. Nitro is used to blow up. When you mix the two up, like Jimmy did, your flowerbed suddenly becomes part of the stratosphere
Is the sky always bluer on someone's else's planet? I don't know. If I ever catch those aliens who're screwing with our pens, I'll ask them.
Are fish using our oceans and lakes for their own private toilets? They had better not be!
Are you going to the Gathering? NO. Thanks for rubbing salt in THAT wound.
Are you going next year? If at all possible.

Green Baron- It seems Firestorm will be coming in Friday after all. I'll still meet him at the airport (hear me, FS?) but only I'll have to worry about a room for the first night. I'm sure I'll find one. See you at the Gathering itself.
Lady Mystic- I got nothing against Scorpios, it's just that Jim is more than an imaginative, smart, nice, tough guy. He's also a hard drinker, major party animal, chronic smart-aleck (lots of my friends are, but Jim especially), and don't get me started about his driving habits. But overall, he is still a good person and a good friend, as are you. I wasn't trying to insult anybody, I was just making an observation about a Scorpio I know, as many people do consider Jim slightly messed-up. I like my sign, too, it's nice and all, very creative. But there are things I don't like about it, too. For example, according to astrology, Lisa and my relationship (Pisces and Leo) will only bring us both pain. In that, I am sure they are wrong. Unless they mean the pain of longing when we're apart, the sweet pain we feel when we're together romantically, or the pain the bad guys feel after they encounter us. Heh heh.
Later all!

Actually, it's "Madoc", not "Maddoc"; just one "d" in the name. (Don't feel bad about it, Lady Mystic; a lot of people have made that mistake, including even a number of the TGS staff. I think that it comes from people getting thrown by the two "d"s in "Maddox").

You know your a gargoyles fan when...
...When your mind is preoccupied with Timedancer, meaning beacuse of somthing you saw a few weeks ago, you expect the Phoenix gate to wisk you away.

Well, I am off to pick up my Northwest tickets. Like I said, Would anyone like to share a taxi from Newark on Friday, 9am-ish?
Fire Storm - [JeremyCBCD@aol.com]

Sure Todd. Fine with me.

<<Thanks for clearing up the Element thing for me, Lady Mystic! I feel so dumb since I've never heard of that before. Thanks again! ~Ravyn Maza>> You're very much welcome. I was glad to help. :) Don't worry, you're not the only one I've met who hasn't heard of that. There are some people who know the elements but didn't know that they were associated to astrology.

Just a small, but significant connection: I had the elements along with the human senses (hearing, sight, smell...) included in that post I did a few weeks ago where "Lady Mystic" got a little mad (yes it was just a little mad - surprising huh?) about the "Got Milk?" survey question. It had a lot of different factors and much symbolism all roled into one. :)

<<But watch out for stubborn signs like Taurus or crazy ones like Scorpio (my pal Jim)! ~Doug>> Hey! My sister's a Taurus. And believe me she is no where near stubborn. She's the sweetest and most kindest person I know. I'm a Scorpio! I never met a crazy Scorpio. I love being a Scorpio. And I'm proud of it too. "There are always new depths to discover with Scorpios." And I'm proud of being under that category. Although I do have some of the less wanted qualities of a Scorpio that are not so positive. But I guess they even out equally. My element is water. I love that. A lot of my dreams have some form of water in them. I like its imagination and emotions too, Doug. I'm as proud of my zodiac and element as much as I'm proud of my ethnic background.

Fun AND a TGS Related Topic> Out of curiosity, does anyone have TGS jokes to tell to the room? Either jokes from the Saga (like "jalapena" from the show) or jokes about the Saga (like "you know you are a Gargoyles fan when ..."). Or both. Have fun. Everybody else wants to hear what you have to say.

I'll begin:
What was Maddoc's old nickname? Mad Ox! (Bad I know!)

You know you're a TGS fan when...

You watch the Gargoyles TV show and expect to see the TGS characters. ("Hey, where's Nudnik? MacBeth is supposed to be at the university?")
You see other Arthurian movies and expect to see Griff.
You think Brooklyn will land in your living room. And you believe it!
You spend your time on a board to talking to others about TGS.
You make bad jokes and post them here.

Now you!

<-- Look at him! I dare to say, he's gonna be cooler than his father!
<<Jackal , please explain the crushing ants comment . Are you saying that despite Lexes strength in proportion he only qualifies as strong in human standards , well Just do'nt diss anyone who sent Hyen to the repair shop and wolf to the vet..>>
The sad thing is...., there is no explaining that comment! No, I'm sure Lex can beat the fool outta anyone or anything, if he got mad enuf. I'm thinkin the name of the story was "Something Wicked", where Jackal and Hyena was beatin his butt, I loved that, Lex got his pay back, so I no longer hold anything against him.
<<I know not everything can probably be mentioned here without breaking some form of rules for the board. You've talked to Fire Storm a few times through AOL: IM about things that are more than too risky to post here...>>
I'm sorry, I don't mean to be offending anyone, I've never thought about what I'm posting might be "risky". Yeah, I've talked to him, I remember one time I asked him if he had seen my brain...., the scary thing is...., he did.
<<...we're always listening if you need to talk!>>
Well, thank you! Damn I feel loved!
<<Brian and Jackal, please, hermanos! No fighting over who's right, ya both are.>>
Heee Heeeee, I created this gargoyle..., he's skinny little dude, like me, well crap, he is me! Ahhh, forget it..., I'll tell ya at a later time.
<<Jackal, I'd personally love to read your fanfic. You're probably one of the craziest people I've come across (well, that's excluding my friends and family), but as Cuba Gooding Jr. said to little Tommy Cruise in Jerry Maguire, "You're hanging on by a very thin thread...and I DIG that about you!">>
Uh, uh, ummm, rrrr, rrrrrr, right..., Umm, my fics are based on some of my dreams, which is why, they are the way they are..., Hell, my fifth story made me for real sick, it was disgusting, I toned it down, so you're not gonna get the "horrible" version, but you'll get the "ewwww" version. (The 5th one is based on a nightmare I had).

One question, though..., why would you say "Goddamn", and not MF? hehhehhehehe
Here's something that's definitely "risky", but I wanna tell yall because it was funny, to me anyway..., I know some of you must think I'm a bad parent, I'm still a kid myself, I'll be the frist one to tell you that, but I'm still young, I'll be lucky to see 25.., I'm gonna enjoy the time I've got left, but anywayz.....
On Sunday, I was watching that movie "Friday",right. I was thinking, "Hey, that's what I want..., it's been a long time..." *Red Flags go up here*
So, after work, I bought a little somethin from a guy I work with. On my way home, I'm smokin, I'm listenin to Motley Crue's Dr. Feelgood album..., the world made sense! When I get home, I float outta the car and into the house. I'm in the kitchen, and my suga-lump turns to me, and asks me if I'm hungry. I float around the kitchen for a minute...., then... "Probably not..., but I'll eat anyway." So, simply enuf, she's tells me not to come home like that again, and hands me a box of Cheez-Its. (I end up facing her wrath later), it's a unopened box and I'm struggling with it, for I don't know how long... then my mate comes back and hands me the baby, she says..., "Bla, bla..." somethin about a bath. I walk my daughter back to our room and I sit on the bed, I have her sittin on my lap as to where I could see her face. Man...., I ain't never tripped so bad in my life. You know how babies make funny faces..., imagine them on weed! And the nosies she makes..., I thought I was gonna die laughin, I knew I was dead, I was mentally sayin my prayers, tellin God to make way, cause here I come. Really though, talk about your chest pains, boy that was awful. But still it was funny, she started gettin freaked out by me laughin, which made me laugh even more, because she was makin even more funnier faces. Then it was like the baby just floated out of my hands, (the mother got her), so I roll over and crawl up to the pillows, justa laughin there ain't no 2-morrow. But, that's all I'm gonna say about that. I know I was wrong. My sweetie made me stand in the corner..., no joke, I'm for real! She ain't but 5' 2" if even that, i don't know what it is, that she has so much control over me, I remember tellin her, "I can take you." Heh heh, then I wimped out. I love her though, she's my sugarlump, I wouldn't have it any other way.
I might as well put everything in one post...., so here it goes.....
What do YOU do when your computer acts disobediently?
Slap it in the head (monitor).

What do you do when it talks back to you? What does it say?
Wouldn't you like to know....

What do you do when it punishes YOU?
It's...... (simms) aren't big enuf to do that!

How often do you visit this page per day?
On average..., twice.

(Doug rushes in, screaming joyfully at the top of his lungs. What is going on with him this time?)
Sorry, guys, my parents are in the apartment watching the entire first season of Gargoyles on videotape tonight and tomorrow. In one brief night, I have turned on two more new fans to the series. Hoo RAA!! Sorry about this, it's just that the only other family member I've had before now who's also watched the show was my sister and she thought it was disgusting when Elisa kissed Goliath. (grin)
TGS Chess: White- King: Goliath. Queen: Elisa. Bishops: Lex and Angie (I must stop calling her that!). Knights: Sata and Brooklyn. Rooks: Broadway and Hudson. Pawns: Bronx, Matt, Graeme, Ariana, Xanatos, Fox, Talon, Richard.
Black- King: Madoc. Queen: Maeve. Bishops: Garlon and Lobo. Knights: Jackal and Hyena. Rooks: Coyote 6.0 and George Harrison. Pawns: Wolf, Bull, Castaway, Clifford, Loki, Discord, Umbriel, Sevarius?.
More Survey Questions (with my answers):
Are you a gamer? Yes!
Favorite RPGs: AD&D and GURPS.
Favorite Player-Characters: 1. My current AD&D campaign one- the werebear human fighter Arnold Boman. Runner-up: Zack Sheppard, a cocky pilot commando I played in a GURPS time-travel campaign once long ago (yes, the character in my fanfic Zack Sheppard is based on that player-character, and the bragging he does in "After the Flood" were that character's exploits in the campaign. In-Joke Alert!!).
Favorite AD&D Villians: Manshoon of the Zhentarim, Sememmon of the same, the red dragon Infryana, Sauriel Lichmaster Vanvryamel (main villian in our current campaign, really sinister and calculating bad guy).
Favorite AD&D Party Members: My current group, my friends here. They consist of the wise and peaceful but also battle-enjoying and man-eating-tiger-riding Sune Heartwarder Cleric named Joy Rustgold (played by Lisa), Glypdon Tormias the Judge Dredd-like paladin (Shap), Morgana de Bay the bitchy wizardess (Trish), Vicar Laurence the psycho death-priest (Jim), Llweyn Tracker the half-elf nature-crazed ranger/thief (Shauna), Frefford Trolinor the bookish and nerd mage (Alex), and of course Dryyth Squamata the saurial bard with psionic ability who is our GM Keith's guiding hand character among our party.
Favorite kind of dragon: Dead. If it had to be alive, I'd say silver. At least they'd be on the good side when we encountered them.
Mandi: Hope you still come to the ball regardless. I would be pleased to dance with you as well as Christine, CrazyDemona, and whoever else I feel like asking when I get up there. Lisa is going to be so jealous (heh heh). Even though I'm sure she would be asking Greg, Dumlaox, Todd, Firestorm, and lots of other guys to dance herself. :)
Sevarius Jr.: Miss you up there, man. And yeah, I'll get you pictures and memories, but you'll have to pay me if you want DNA samples. I'm not your cabana boy.
See y'all later, I have to go check if Coyote's made that update yet now. Bye!!
(Doug runs out, continuing the loud joyful screaming. Several gargoyles glide after him, just in case he ends up needing help to get home.)

I am glad the comment room is back. Well any way this is my comment. In the Dark Age seris how long will Hudson keep Agamemnon as his secound in command? Untill he chooses Goliath as his seound, or when will Goliath choose Demona as his mate because Demona is starting to like him also Goliath is starting to look at Demona in a new way. but he still likes Asrial. By the way, has anyone seen Halloween H20 yet? I have last Wednesday and it was great.

Goddamn muthf@#$in' internet service provider. Can you believe that? My server didn't crash. THEY WENT ON STRIKE.
Anyway, I'm back. As for all the theory on the size/weight/mass of the gargoyles, thanks for all your input. I'm still confused as to just how big I should make my 'goyles, but I'll just figure something out. And Brian and Jackal, please, hermanos! No fighting over who's right, ya both are.

And Jackal, I'd personally love to read your fanfic. You're probably one of the craziest people I've come across (well, that's excluding my friends and family), but as Cuba Gooding Jr. said to little Tommy Cruise in Jerry Maguire, "You're hanging on by a very thin thread...and I DIG that about you!"

And just a reminder to all of you going to the Gathering, you'd better give us, the unfortunate ones who have to stay home, detailed reports. And be sure to bring me back some stuff. You know, a t-shirt, an action figure (they're not dolls dammit!), a coffee mug, perhaps a DNA sample of Marina Sirtis (or better yet, Brigitte Bako!), or at the very least, steal some hotel towels. And to all of you gentlemen, I give this warning: the minibars cost extra, and watch out for those Spector-Vision bills, they really add up!

(Alarm sirens suddenly go off as Doug swings into the commert room through a plate glass window, breaking it as he comes. He growls as he lands on the floor and gets up.)
Great, the one day I decide to come in the window and they have alarms. Here's what I have to say:
Christine: Aw, come on, it's not as big as some people's work (Ryan Stout comes to mind). I've also written larger stories in my time for non-Garg universes, and may do so for Gargs in the future. The main reason that it was so large is that a lot had to be covered in the story. The next one, "Choices" will cover a lot, too. And "One Psycho to Another." (For those who don't know, that's a story I have planned where Seth meets the slowly reforming Dominique, they get attracted to one another, but once he finds out she's really Demona, the Manhattan Clan must stop another of his many rampages.) The next planned installment, "Masterpiece," will bring back Sevarius and introduce a new heroine, the Changeling, but it probably won't be nearly as long. "Bounty" may be, and I'll probably break it up into parts like I did with "Final Hunt," as it deals with the downfall of the Kingpin and the Rose and all that. Then I'll have six medium-size ones that are directly connected and end this whole Gargs vs. Illuminati thing (but not my story)- "Clash of the Titans," "Capture," "The Ultra-Pack Cometh," "End of the Rage," "Truth," and "Rebellion" are the planned titles. Sorry about the size, hope it doesn't deter anyone from reading my work. Thanks for the encouragement, and I look forward to hearing from you if you ever get done reading the tale. As for your story-writing service, that sounds neat, but I don't think I'll take you up on that. I may want to borrow your characters again later. Aiden will have to make a comeback, and maybe Gustav, too. Also, I have a far-in-the-future story planned called "Quest" where King Arthur, the London Clan, and Ares O'Neil team up to search for the Holy Grail. To find it before the WTA does, they'll need near-firsthand knowledge of where it's buried. And since Indy's a little old for that sort of thing but his granddaughter isn't, I may ask to borrow her character from you. Hope your book comes out soon, and see you at the Gathering!
Survey:
What do YOU do when your computer acts disobediently?
Yell at it and threaten it with things I really can't do.
What do you do when it talks back to you?
Phrases like "You better find that file!" "Get that website here NOW!!" and "Do you want me to replace you with the now-cheaper more advanced model?" come to mind.
What does it say?
Usually nothing, I like to keep the sound on this thing turned off.
What do you do when it punishes YOU?
It hasn't yet.
What do you do to punish it back?
I'm not sure, maybe backup my files and then release a really nasty worm into the original?
What's Your Hobbies: Reading, Writing, Video Games, Computer Games, Watching TV.
Favorite Activities (Keep it clean): Top Five: 5. Watching a good movie or TV show. 4. Sleeping and having good dreams. 3. Surfing the Internet. 2. Getting curled up with a good book. 1. Having something very plesaurable with my Significant Other (;)).

What's Your Zodiac Sign? What do you like and dislike about your sign? Pisces. I like the whimsicalness of it, and the imagination part, but hate how they say your tendency to do too many crazy and imaginative things often gets you into trouble.
What do you like and dislike about other zodiac signs? I like the calmness, courage, outgoingness and regalness of Leo, Lisa's sign. The understanding and niceness of Aries is also interesting. But watch out for stubborn signs like Taurus or crazy ones like Scorpio (my pal Jim)!
What's Your Element? What do you like and dislike about your element? Water, I like its emotion and imagination, don't really know of anything about it I dislike.

Most Annoying Pet-Peeve: My hatred for anyone who tries to limit our inalienable and constitutional rights for whatever reason. It has always been hard for me to understand hateful folks like the Quarrymen, KKK, or so-called Christian Righters. I often get angry whenever I see them around or hear about them in the news. A while of talking with other people, especially Lisa or Shap, who are more understanding people, always calms me down, though. But I still nourish dreams of someday walking up to that annoying street preacher on the UT campus who damns everyone but those who are like him to Hell for reasons I'm sure God and Christ wouldn't agree with and bombarding him with lots of holy-water-balloons. (grin)

Least Favorite Animal Pet (same guidelines as specified above): chihahua or any type of little annoying yapping dog.

How often do you visit other Gargoyles-related sites? Same as above.
Which ones do you visit? www.gargoyles-fans.org, here, and Coyote and Christine's pages whenever they have new stuff.
Why and how gargoyle famales have such skinny waists? I don't know, nor do I really care, either. Sorry.
If a group of birds are called a flock and a group of cattle is called a herd -- What's a group a gargoyles gliding in the air called? A clan.
What's a group of garg-beasts called? A group?

What do you think they would do during the day? Where would they go? What would they do? Play videogames, hang out at the mall, and annoy people.
If Puck played a joke on Demona again (ala "The Mirror"), what do you think she might be turned into this time?
A pigeon. Demona would make a good pigeon.
Why did the gargoyle cross the road?
To help the person in trouble on the other side!
Why do pens dry up or leak when you need them the most?
I don't know, but it really annoys me.
Why do bad things happen in groups?
That's just their way, the way things happen. We hate it, but that's the way it is.
Is the grass always greener on someone else's lawn?

Ravyn Maza> Basically in layman's terms, "Element" in this sense is associated to astrology. It is in connection to the zodiac, and hence the zodiac question above it. A person's element is included under their zodiac sign. The elements are: earth, air, fire, and water. The elements are symbolic and are in connection with how the components of the sign express qualities and such about the person. Astrology can express and explain tangible and intangible qualities about your personality and life. Earth is materialistic. Air is intellectual and abstract. Fire is creative. Water is emotional. <~ This relating to your personality. EX: You're Taurus (same as my sister), born between the dates April 21 and May 21. Taurus is sybolized by the bull. You're element is earth. And earth doesn't mean the planet but the the things it can symbolize in nature and life: soil, gardening, fond of "natural" colors for example. But astrology doesn't always explain your character to a tee. Sometimes it may be totally wrong.

Astrology has a LOT of different and complex components, which are interesting to learn and talk about, but most people only know their sign and element (if they know them at all). And different cultures have different astrological names and components. But I decided to ask about the simplest stuff. You never know what people are into astrology. And it's an interesting topic. I'm not an expert on this stuff, but I dabble in it. No matter how much I know about this stuff I always have a hard time explaining the elements to people. If there is someone here who could explain the basics more clearly for those who don't understand the topic so well, please do. :)

What's my Element?>>Sorry, but I don't get the question. Could someone explain it to me? Thanks.
Favorite Quote: "In America, we do what the hell we want; I do it, so you might as well do it too!"--Shawn Michaels
Most Annoying Pet Peeve: Someone who's already read the book or seen the movie and they tell me how it ends right before I go see it. _Really_ annoying.
Fav Animal Pet Name: We once had a pet quail that we named Dan Quail. I thought that was cool.
Least Fav Pet Name: The other pet quail was Fuzz-Fuzz.
Fav Animal: Duck.
Least Fav Animal Pet: Snakes
Fav Gargoyles Joke(s): I liked the ongoing thing with "jalapena". And, although corny, I liked Vinnie.
Fav Jokes you tell people: Hmm...all of 'em, I guess.
Fav Computer Game/Other Games: I'm into the Monopoly type-thing. I also like puzzle type games.
Fav Magazine: Don't really have one.
Fav Word(s): Precisely. For some reason, I _love_ saying that word.

How often do you visit this page per day?>>Usually about once or twice to check in.
How often do you visit other Gargoyles sites?>>I usually check in on at least one every day. It's either this one, www.gargoyles-fans.org, or other sites that have ongoing stories that I check out every once in a while. (Like Coyote Bando's Clan Manhattan)
Why & how do female gargs have such skinny waists?>>I don't know, but I'd love to see one as big as Broadway just for fun.

Why did the gargoyle cross the road?>>To get back to the castle, of course!
Why do pens dry out when you need them most?>>Because it's a huge government conspiracy to keep us from writing down important information.
Is the grass always greener in someone else's lawn?>>Nah, not always, but it sure seems like it.
Is the sky always bluer on someone else's planet?>>Nope, cause sometimes the sky would be greener, or pinker, or oranger, or...you get the idea.
Are fish using oceans & lakes for their own private toilets?>>Yep. Pretty scary.
Are you going to the Gathering?>>Sadly, no, but I'll be there in spirit and I hope to hear some wonderful stories when everyone gets back!
Are you going next year?>>I hope so. If I can get a job and get some money, then maybe I could go, but I'd be under 21 so I'd probably have to room with someone.
Well, that's it for me for now! And Jackal, we're always listening if you need to talk! See ya'll!

Christine: The Silver Flame thing sounds very interesting. I haven't seen commission work on literature in a long time. I forgot it exists. It's good to see someone tackling that. I hope it goes well. More importantly, I hope you enjoy doing it. :) Oh, and I forgot to say congratulations on winning the July 1998 Aerie Award!

DumlaoX: The CR pics are nice the way they are. But for faster download time and for more space, maybe they should be shrunk some. After the shrinkage Gore did to his CR pics you tend to notice the differences between these two boards very easily. But than again, I'm basing this on my screen. Mine's 640 x 480 resolution and the pics take up a forth of so of the screen. Fire Storm's screen is much bigger and people who have larger screen sizes like his may find the pics just right (in addition they may find s8's CR pics too small). My opinion> Based on the concept of admiring the artwork and its detail, the pics are nice the way they are. However, the pics could possibly be better for the room as a whole if they were in fact smaller (which is more likely the best thing to do, I think). Maybe a temporary experiment should be made on the room and pics. After awhile of seeing how it is, then a final decision could be made. Just a suggestion.

Non-wiping CR> My sympathies. I hope it's remedied soon.

There's a reason why the room wasn't wiped. In the past, Gore has a CGI program that can do automatic wipes if you have the right password. However, after the great S8 loss, the program was lost. So, until he gives me new instructions on how to do it, we are stuck with an ever filling room.

Till next time...

Gargoyles Weight and Height> Since we have no real official or concrete (no pun intended) evidence on this we really can't agree on the issue. I've seen, heard, and read so many different statistics. There was a discussion about this on s8 a few weeks ago (tied into a discussion on the topic if gargoyles could really exist and what their anatomy is and would have to be like to make gargoyles' real-life existence possible). No one really came up with any agreeable answers. All we can do is guess. I'm not sure how much that will help Severius Jr. All our guesses and opinions might just confuse you (Severius Jr.) more. And this topic can be discussed here forever. Hey, maybe some of us should ask Greg (when Gorebash has the "Questions Submitted" site up).

But one thing: <<And I agree with you on the estimation of Lexington's weght , cause I do'nt think a human that high and thin could weigh more than 110-120 pounds.>> Okay how tall do you think Lex is? Is he a little over 5 feet tall? (Sorry I don't know the equivalant in meters for any detailed height.) Is he more than 5 1/2 feet tall? Is he 6 feet tall? All this being if he was standing up staight not crouched. My point is that I'm very picky as to people's assumptions on others' weight and height proportions (like the unbeleivable proportions Playboy models put in the information section about themselves). I'm not tall (only 5 ft 2 1/2 in), and I weigh more than 110 lbs without being or looking overweight at all. And I could tell you, my mother was 5 ft 6 in and she was skin and bones when she weighed 110. I never met any female or male who looked slightly physically muscular like Lex who weighed anywhere near 120 at 5 - 6 ft tall. (The closest account I know of is a guy my dad knew who was a boxer or wrestler who weighed something like 135 or so and was something like 4 ft 8 in to 5 ft. And he was thinner than Lex in some areas.) And if there is someone here who does match "slightly physically muscular like Lex who weighed close to 120 at 5 - 6 ft tall": (1) Have you weighed yourself lately on a correct scale? And (2) What are your body and weight proportions? And think: muscle is denser than fat, a physically fit person with strong muscle tissue would weigh the same yet look thinner than a person less physically fit with weaker muscle tissue. Sorry for the lecture, I just hate seeing people underestimate (or overestimate) the weight of other people (RL, Gargoyles characters, other universe characters, and fanfic characters).

Brian: The main reason I mentioned the Asrial pic is because of a few possibilities. I thought that you may have assumed that Asrial may have been Lisa's gargoyle-mutate persona because of similarities in Lisa's description of her garg-personality and the many ways the Asrial pic could be percieved (ex: there are so many people who percieve Lex's color differently). I'm not saying that Lisa's garg-mutate form is anywhere close to Asrial's appearance (sorry if you thought that Lisa). I'm just saying that they could be percieved as similar to certain people. Or else, I thought, I might just explain the differences between both pictures so as to eliminate any confusion. [Even though I have no favorite characters, I do like Asrial a lot too. That's why I always use this pic. But everyone here has probably guessed that already. :)]

Stange coincidence: Fire Storm and I were discussing the stuff said about Gargoyles fandom dying, which isn't the coincidence. About right after I posted my opinion on the topic, Fire Storm was talking about Star Wars and how it relates to this topic. Right after our discussion I reloaded the page and there was Brian's post, about the same "topic" Fire Storm and I had just finished discussing. <~ That's the coincidence. (Brian :))

Jackal: You sound like you need someone to talk to. I know not everything can probably be mentioned here without breaking some form of rules for the board. You've talked to Fire Storm a few times through AOL: IM about things that are more than too risky to post here, you could always e-mail Fire Storm and talk to him. I'm sure he won't mind.

DumlaoX: Thanks for your very helpful post. And thanks for explaning so much. :)

I assumed the room would have renewed by now. What's going on?

Here's my answers to my survey:
Least Favorite Month: March
Least Favorite Year: 1993 and 1994
Favorite Date (month, day, & year - as in event in time, not a social engagement): I have many favorite dates, but the ones that are prominent are: June 1, 1996, June 15, 1996, and mine, my immediate family members', and Fire Storm's birthdays.
Least Favorite Date (same guidelines as specified above): March 23,1994, the day my mother died.
Favorite Human Eye Color: I like most natural eye colors. I have always been partial to "light" colors like shades of blue, green, hazel, and grey. But since I have brown eyes that aren't too dark nor too light, and since my sister has brownish green-blue and my mother had very dark brown eyes, I like the "darker" shades too. But it all depends on the person and the shade/hue.
Least Favorite Human Eye Color: Any unnatural-looking colors like albino-eyes or colors that colored contacts create that are not found in a natural human.
Favorite Human Hair Color & Length: brunette. Male: short hair that is nowhere near chin- or shoulder-length. Anything longer than that is annoying for me. Female: almost anything, repeat almost.
Least Favorite Human Hair Color & Length: platinum-white blonde. I know some people who have that color hair naturally. But I never cared for the color. Even if it was natural, it seems so unnatural. And I hate some of the weirder hair colors that people have been adopting these past 2 years. Although it does depend on the person and the hairstyle. But I hate mohawks on anyone except Native American from days of yore. But since we're not likely to run into any of them, except in movies or at historical reenactment reservations, then it brings that idea down to hating mohawks totally.
Favorite Gargoyle Hair Color & Length: I don't really have a favorite.
Least Favorite Gargoyle Hair Color & Length: I haven't thought up one nor saw any that I really hated.
Favorite Gargoyle Skin Color: This is similar to my answer on favorite gargoyle hair color & length, but I do have some that I've seen and that I've thought up that are more favorable than others. But the specifics are too complex to go into.
Least Favorite Gargoyle Skin Color: I haven't thought up one nor saw any that I really and truly hated. I guess sometimes it depends though.
Favorite Gargoyle Wing Pattern/Style/Design: Anything attached to the back is what I'm partial to. As to the wing design: it just depends on the individual as to what specific type I like better than others.
Least Favorite Gargoyle Wing Pattern/Style/Design: I like Lex's wings in general, but there are too many downsides to the design of his wings.
Favorite Fae Powers/Abilities: Almost anything. They all have good points and bad points.
Least Favorite Fae Powers/Abilities: The thing that hinders all Fae (except me): IRON, which is in a way an ability, depending on how you look at it. But there are also other powers that I just flat out find useless.

Ok Jackal , I really was'nt thinking too straight when I said that a 450 pound gargoyle could fly (without extreme difficulty and extremely powerful updrafts) . And I agree with you on the estimation of Lexington's weght , cause I do'nt think a human that high and thin could weigh more than 110-120 pounds .

But I am not an expert on gargoyle physiology , SO Sevarius Jr , I suggest you ask Greg .

And sorry about th way acted last post , got a little miffed for some reason .
Jackal , please explain the crushing ants comment . Are you saying that despite Lexes strength in proportion he only qualifies as strong in human standards , well Just do'nt diss anyone who sent Hyen to the repair shop and wolf to the vet . I just loved that part when he through the hammer into the fountain .

One more thing, Yall remember me talking about my fanfic, right? Well, for those of you who wanna read the things that come from my mind, (I've been told my mind will be fine if I just put water on it), anywayz, I finally have everything ready to go, it just need to type it, (they're hand written), I'm startin out with a 8 story, 11 "episode" season. Depending on if at least one person likes it, then I'll type out the "2nd" season, which is 11, maybe 13 stories. Originality and shock vaule is what I'm going for. I mean, I want you to be like, "Did I just read that?" or "There's something wrong with this dude's head." My goal is not to have everyone like it, I know that's not possible, but to have people say things like, "Hey J, even though you suck, that story kicked my ass." Hehehhehe, you know what I mean, right? Anyway, I really need to get a scanner so I can have my drawings with the stories..., Oh, you know what?! Ratings suck! I just wanna ask 2 things of everyone, when I get everything up, I just wanna chance, read at least one story, and I'll be happy. And, don't get freightened off by the ratings, (unless you're suppose to). I try to rate everything myself, but I seem to be more "tolerate" of some things, than other people. So I get my sugarlump here to read and rate. Going by the movie ratings, she wants to rate the slightest thing an "R", which makes me mad because I know she does it to irriate me.
OK, it's clear, I can tell yall what I need help on..,
All right, Saturday during the night, I was riding around with my sister, and we had went to Taco Bell. I was ordering me a Chilli Chesse Burrito, then I feel someone touch me. And I get all freaked out because there was no one there that would touch me like that. So I turn around, and there was this lady standin there smilin, well, it turns out to be a girl I had a crush on in high school. We flirted and played and whatever else, but nothing ever went too far, nor did we get in a realtionship. Anyway, as a double shock to my system, she's holding her son. I mean, she knows I don't like to be touched without permission, that's just the way I am..., I get nervous when people put their hands on me unexpectedly. So here I am in the middle of Taco Bell, having a "akward" converstaion, with a girl whom I haven't seen in God knows how many years, she's puttin her hands on, practicly petting my arm, my face, puttin her hand up my shrit, feelin my stomach, tellin me how "sexy" I've gotten. I'm nervous as hell, embarassed, I keep lookin at her son, (he couldn't have been more that a year and a half), then it hits me, but it comes out stupidly.
"I, I, I have one.., one of those." I said like a dumb ass, pointing at her child. And I processed to tell her about my daughter, here, I thought I had it made. Talk about the kids, she'll lose her interest, and she'll get gone. Well, that wasn't the case. And to make matters worse, my sister leaves me, she tells me she's gonna go sit in the car.
So then, I try a different defense..., "My sugarlump, I gotta sugarlump, ya know, and she keeps me on lock down, I find it a whole lot easier to do what she says."
Here's something to remember..., never say your mate has you on "lock down" to someone who wants you. Man, I wanna tell ya everything that happened, but I need to be goin to bed soon. But she, man, she had me all twisted. I'm not sayin I'm innocent, which is why I feel kinda bad, and want to tell someone, ya know...., I'm gonna leave it at this, and go to bed for now...

I'm sure Goliath weighs a bit more than say...., Brooklyn..., hell, Broadway for that matter, but I doubt he's {realisticly} over 300 pounds.
<<First of all I ca'nt see how crushing an ant comes into the argument>>
I'm crazy like that!
<<I was saying that a gargoyle would be more dense than a human the size of a gargoyle , resulting in its being heavier>>
I'm sorry, I don't see Lex's little ass being more than 160 pounds, if even that. See, his wing structure is smaller than normal, so he can't weigh all that much, (I'll kick him in his over sized olive green head)! Not that i dislike him or nothing...
<<a gargoyle could be 450 pounds and fly with sufficiently large wings .>>
No, no, no, no, no....

Anyway, I know I'm trying to carry on 3 different subjects at the same time..., I'm don't mean to be confusing anyone, I'll get to what I wanna talk about soon...., because I need help! OH! Thank you Ravyn, I choose to take that as something good! :) Hey! You used Sata! Mmmmmm Mmmmmm heh heh

First of all I ca'nt see how crushing an ant comes into the argument , It sounds t me like you are talking about a fighting ability matter . Sevarius Jr. was asking about weight . I was saying that a gargoyle would be more dense than a human the size of a gargoyle , resulting in its being heavier .

Translation (for the benefit of those who do'nt clearly grasp Patois (pronounced : patwa ) :

Jackal , I am not talking about fighting , Sevarius Junior wants the weight of the gargs . And a gargoyle could be 450 pounds and fly with sufficiently large wings .

OK dude, I may be taking it the wrong way, but let me explain somethin..., Yeah, that's all good what you said, I feel ya partna, but uhh.., See, an ant can lift like 50 million times it's own weight, (ya know what I'm tryin to say). But yet you can still lift an ant, crush an ant, flick an ant, whatever. I'm using the ant to represent little ol Lex. Ya know? Goliath's tall goofy ass, I don't know about that...,

I disagree with you two on the issue of mass , think about it , look how short and scrawny Lexington is , yet he is able to lift upi a pack member with relative ease , a person of relative stature would'nt stand a chance in hell of doing that , Gargoyles would have to have far greater muscle density to lift up something that is 3 times their own weight , since we humans at best can bearly lift 2 times our own weight , a human goliaths size and bulk cold'nt possible lift a car , (not a decent car anyways ) , it would have to be a sorry deportee (the Jamaican term for Japanese imported cars) .
So a gargoyle would have to way atleast 50% more than a human of equal size and dimensions . Another bit of evidence to support my theory , is that Goliath could take a standard power round to the chest and it would probably get stuck in the muscle as opposed to going straight through or getting into the rib cage , for a human that would not be the case .
This is how I feel , but I will admit that there may be flaws in my deductions , please point out any of these to me so that I may reevaluate taking into consideration the presented material .
And thanks for the explanation Dumlao .

Personally, (I should probably keep my mouth shut, being have nothing constructive to say), I've alwayz thought that gargoyles weren't all that different from humans, as far as height and weight goes.., I mean, I can't see a 450 pound gargoyle soring gracfully in the sky, ya know? Or some dude being 10 feet tall. But that's just me, just how I think. Based on what I've created, I think the general range should be..., for a slinder male.., 165 pounds, about 6 feel tall.., but! like i said, that's just me.
Now stone weight, I don't know what to think about all that, I doubt they weigh tons, but they got to have more weight added to 'em... It's just the way my crazy mind interperts it...
I know I'm not suppose to get worked up, cause the doctor tells me, "Your heart can fail." Or some crap like that, but..., there's just sometimes that you have to say, "Hey, it's time for your ass whoopin." Nevermind, I won't tell this, not like this anyway...

Hey everybody, you're favorite mad scientist here. Just thought I'd like to let you guys know, that on the TNT cable channel tonight, they're gonna have a whole medieval night. They got Highlander, Excalibur, Sir Gawain, and I think Knights of the Round Table, so if you guys like that kinda stuff, which I know you do, ya might wanna check it out. Personally, I'm looking forward to kicking back and letting TNT get medieval on my ass.

And I gotta ask a favor from you guys. I like Coyote's whole "Clans Collide" plan so much, I was gonna create my own clan of gargoyles kick some ass. Thing is though, I need some basic Gargoyle stats: like how big the usual Gargoyle is, how much they weigh, etc. If you guys know where I can find that kinda info, or hell, if ya got stats on just the Manhattan clan, drop me an email or a comment here. I'd really appreciate it.

And by the way...just so no one gets me confused like they did Lisa and Lady Mystic, I'm completely human...well, except for the webbed feet. But that a whole other story.

Greetings. To those of you too young to remember, many years ago when I was actually young, the powers that be declared Star Trek DEAD. The fans united, and this was before cyberspace, and did a massive letterwriting champane. We save our beloved Star Trek for a third season of poor stories, but it went into syndication and begot ST:TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Think possitive. This was all when snail mail and phone were the only weapons of choice. I know, I lived then. Transformers, Biker Mice From Mars, and lots of other fandoms still survice, because of the most important thing. FANS. That's us folks.
Coyote I'm waiting for your next chapter.

*DumlaoX runs into the room, panting and breathing heavily*

Hi all. Haven't posted in a while, but this week especially I was busy entertaining Alison Wilgus from Boston. She's here in L.A. till Tuesday and the both of us will hit G'98 next weekend :)

CR PICS-- I'm looking at the CR pics here and noticed that they might be kinda... big. What I wanna know is is the current pic size ok with all of you or should I shrink it down another notch? Either way, I will have to fix some of the picture mistakes (i.e.- yellow line in Xanatos pic).

GARG FANDOM-- No way is it in danger of dying off. Working at the Gargoyles Fans Website, just about everyday, I get letters of people who just recently found the show and are loving it. This is one year after the final episode was made. That's impressive. As long as you have people just discovering the series for the first time, websites such as Station 8 and Gargoyles Fans Website and Avalon Archives, and projects such as TGS, the fandom will live forever.

57 days till The Rising

RISING-- The Rising is our title for the first episode of TGS season 2. If you look back at our season finale and put a few pieces together, you'll see that it is more than a simple Gathering.

EPISODES-- Here's how we do the whole episode thing. We first create an arc to follow then outlines for eps based on that arc. With the outlines done, we send them out to writers and make a deadline for them to be written. We edit them then make a schedule for what episode gets posted at what date. If there are delays, we then push back deadlines till the ep needed is ready. In a sense, all eps are written almost simultaneously but in such a way that it won't contradict each other.

TIME-- The person from the future can't change the past. The person from the past can't change the future. Everyone plays a pre-destined part in their lives. They just don't know that fact. That's the idea we are using with the whole time thing.

PICS-- All pictures here in the comment room are pics of TGS and Gargoyles characters. The only exception is my pic simply because I maintain a special presence here in the comment room (i.e.- I'm staff. I do ep announcements and other business related to TGS in this room. I get set apart from the crowd :P)

Till next time...

Lady Mystic : I knew that the picture was of Asrial , she is one of my favourite characters in the Dark Ages series .

I'd say that Gargoyle's fandom dying is about as likely as The Star Wars fandom dying , and like Star Wars I'm sure that you'll find that after it diminishes it bounces right back , (Case in point : The Star Wars movie scheduled to come out next year .)

Doug: Yeah, I took that photo that night Fire Storm sent it to you.

And I'm with Doug on his comment to Shadow Master. There is always a way for all this fandom on the 'net to recede and/or die, but it's very unlikely. I don't really see why, how, what, where, or when anything of the Gargoyles sort will die, on the 'net or IRL. Somehow, someway, this stuff will always live on. Things come and go, but something will always keep the flame alive. Gargoyles is in actual recorded history and is always in our minds and in our hearts. THAT is how Gargoyles will live on if other ways die. Shadow Master's fanfic ideas and concepts are interesting. Although I don't see how that is in anyway a plan to get Gargoyles back on TV (this based on what he said and the way he said it). The only thing I see that the fanfic's purpose is is to give fans hope in that the show may come back on. That concept is very interesting though, because it is symbolic of the real life situation dealing with "Gargoyles", Disney, fans, the show's cancelation, and the show's hopeful return. Interesting observation, eh?

Brian: The problem that I see, which I already pointed out to the room, is that the pic reads "pgate.jpt". Notice the "t" in "jpt". It's supposed to be "jpg". I don't know what happened there, but that's what's wrong. I hope they notice it and fix it. And from what I gathered about earlier conversations on the board (but don't take my word for it, I'm not on the TGS Staff), they write the stories in progression to their being posted. I mean, they have deadlines, but they don't write ALL the episodes then gradually release them on the 'net. (EX: There were times when they had to lengthen a deadline that certain episodes were supposed to be posted because they were still being worked on. So I assume they are worked on while others are posted.) But at certain times, like at the beginning of the the whole project and between seasons, they probably have some episodes already finished. And also from what I gathered, they do have some stories finished before others. So everything isn't chronologically finished the way we read them. This is only from what I gathered and from what makes sense. Maybe Todd could explain more though.

Lisa is the half human/half gargoyle mutate. I never expected anyone to be confused as to which one of us was which. It's kind of flattering. Why, I don't know.

I'm the "mysterious fae". You don't know where I live, what I actually am ["fae" is too general (so I am not weakened by iron) and isn't exactly what I am -- but I will settle under that genre most of the time], what my powers are, what my weaknesses are, or anything definite about me. I'm Lady Mystic. Think of the last part of my name and almost all things it could imply. It will eventually bring you to the concept of magic and unknown. Sort of what Fae are. But a lot more.

And if you, Brian, are talking about the pic in the room that's a pumpkin/peach colored gargoyle with golden hair that I use all the time as my signature pic -- that's Asrial, a character in TGS: Dark Ages. And if you're talking about the half human/half mutate pic -- that's Sharon Nimura, a character in TGS: Gargoyles. They're not a pic of a persona of any of us commenters. We can't have our own personality pics here. The only pics are of the TGS and Gargoyles (ie the ones who are in TGS) characters.

(Doug walks nonchalantly back in, and slips angrily on all the water on the floor. He picks himself up and growls.)
Who did this? Who got all this water everywhere? When I find them, I'll...Oh wait, it was me. I did this. Never mind.
Brian: Lots of stuff I have to tell you. One, thanks for the jokes. I got them, could read them this time, and they are very funny. Some of them I may use at the Gathering. That centerfold one definitely has possibilities...
Two, I'm glad you caught the guy who really turned on the nerve gas. Good job. As for the status of Lincoln's Commandos, well, if you check my fanfiction, they've just celebrated their third anniversary and are all doing okay. In a few stories, though, Seth may have something to say about that once he finds out who their leader is ("End of the Rage" will be the title of that one). If you're interested, I'm sure all 50 of them would be glad to welcome you in. About Lisa, yes, she is the half-human, half-gargoyle mutate, but the picture is of Sharon Nimura, not her. Neither she nor anyone can get our own pictures next to our comments here without sending them to Gore or DumlaoX first, despite how much we might wish it. I'm not sure myself what happened to the Phoenix Gate pic.
Coyote: Congratulations on getting so many characters! Hope more come soon, if you desire them. Also hope the recent posting of "After the Flood" will help you write in Tiber and the Second. "Choices" will be out soon enough, and it should help with the others. I look forward to the next installment in your saga. Good luck.
See y'all in cyberspace or at the Gathering!
(Doug turns to leave, but is met by the very angry TGS lawyer, who holds out the mop and points to the water on the floor. Doug glares at him and gestures to a young woman with short black hair and female-Xanatosian features in blue stonewashed jeans and a purple turtleneck behind the lawyer who appears to be walking a few inches above the ground. She claps her hands together as her eyes change color rapidly from hazel to blue to bright glowing green and then the room suddenly gets very very hot, and all the water on the floor evaporates into steam that is blown out the skylight by a wind-spell. The comment room's temperature returns to normal as everyone wipes the sweat from their skin. The TGS lawyer falls to the floor and begins groveling for mercy. Doug and his fanfic character Changeling (to be introduced in the upcoming story "Masterpiece") exchange a laugh at the sight, and leave.)

P.S. :
What happenes to the pick of the pheonix gate , my comments strike me as incomplete without it , and how did (who is the half gargoyle mutate again , Lisa or Lady Mystic) get a picture of her in the room beside her comment .

(The doors to the comment room shatter under the impact of the body of a large pound man as he flies several feet into the room and lands with a muffled crack and rolls several meters further into th comment room , where he lies bleeding prousely from a shard of the door htat penetrated his thigh and breething with difficulty as he continuously coughs up blood oonto the floor , the comment room guards walk up to him with a shocked look on there faces . Brian walks in mad as bull , walks up to the man who looks up at him with a look of total panic in his eyes . Brian stoops down cose to his ear and says something to the man but too lowly for anyone else to hear , then he gets up pulls out the shard with a sadistic twist , and pours rum all over the man . He then stands up and casts a spell of healing , he watches as the wound closes and the blood is sucked back into the wound and his mouth . Upon the completion of which he sticks out his arm and and index finger as he casts another spell as he quickly lowers his hand creating the vertical beam of light everyne has now become assustomed too , he then picks up the still weekened man and throws him through the poral as it expands to fit him . The guards aproach him along with the comment room lawyer but back off as Brian turns to them and his fist starts to glow .)
Looks like these people have grown slightly more inteligent since the last misshap , that guy framed me , I did tighten the valve , but the bastard loosened it to frame me and brand me as incompitent , but the video the cops found in his apartment showed the act so I am cleared of all charges , it turns my stomach to think he did because I was outshining him and inline for the promotion that he felt he deserved , or maybe it was the poker game that caused him to snap , but I did'nt make him bet his Brand new Audi convertable , and he was even more mad when I told him I sold it . (I needed the cash to pay off a friends gambling debts ) , By the way I sent him into the middle of the amazon , he would have been given the death sentence anyway . And I have been given the option of going to another branch of the govrnment , but I am going freelance , But I am still on a three year contract so I still have to serve it though not at once .
Doug : Tell me , what is the status of the good Colonel's organization I am intrested . The Jokes are on the way .
Ravyn : I too am of Scottish decent , though my blood has thinned that line , I am still very angry at such attempts of oppresion .
Todd : what is the rising exactly , For some time I have had it confused with the Gathering and I would now like to rectify that situation . I have a few questions about the saga itself though . How do you write the storie in relation to their being posted (as in , do you finish writing before you post and just post them weekly once their all done , or do you time it to finish at a specific point .

By the way , I have a theory about the gate : A person from the present cannot change history but a person from the past can change the future .

That's why Demona was going to give it to her younger self instead of using it herself . I'd feel pretty stupid if all of you realized it already and just to make those who realized it long ago think I am slow , I did too .

Okay , that was long enough . later all .

**Coyote enters the room, playing a joyful noise upon the monstrous saxophone he always carries with him.**

PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION! The TGS room is BACK!! **Plays a rising crescendo arpeggio**

Okay, that's all I had to say. Except ...

(shameless plug) I now have 78 characters in "When Clans Collide!" Follow the link to add your characters. The list will be updated when I post my new story on Monday (hopefully). (end shameless plug)

**Coyote dances a jig (which is a trick, since Coyote can't dance a jig in real life) as he exits the room. Riling up the 78 characters, he manages to get them all to join in o his joyful jig.**

(The fountain suddenly begins to bubble and foam wildly and then erupts in huge waves of water that soak everyone in the room. Doug appears at the top of the biggest wave riding his black many-decaled surfboard. As the waves die down and Doug lands on the soaked comment room floor, he leaps up and smiles at the glares of every sopping wet person in the room.)
Oh well, you all needed a bath anyway (just kidding!!). Here's some other stuff:
Christine: I couldn't imagine Cordelia doing that either. I think Lisa just put in as many females as she could think of when she typed that, no matter what kind of cheerleaders they would make. Shame on her for not thinking (:)). Can hardly wait for your next story, know it will be just as good, if not better, than all the others. My next one will come out when it's done, but, like you, I've already started it. (And it's real far from done right now. I've only just finished the beginning.) This next one will be called "Choices." And believe me, I sympathize with your in-law troubles, my parents arrive tomorrow and for the couple days before the Gathering I'll have to endure their presence. Ugh! (jk)
Shadow Master: All this great stuff go away? The webpages, the Gatherings, the fanfic, the enthusiasm, everything? No way that could ever happen any time soon!! Gargoyles will always remain in our hearts no matter what, of that I am certain. So we have quite a long time before the thing you're worried about occurs. There's still hope, and there always will be. Even if we are just slinging iron rocks at Oberon, we must remember two things- One, a boy named David beat a giant that way once. And two, energy is energy. As long as we keep the spirit alive among us fans, and recruit as many new fans as possible (and we are, I know it), eventually Disney will have to give in and bring life to our dream of restoration. If they don't, at least we will have created amongst us many great Gargoyles-related things, and the experiences and insights they will have brought will last more than a lifetime. So let's keep up the fandom and great things, eh, people?
As for your saga coming to an apocalyptic close, I must say that sounds neat and I'll definitely be watching your page for updates on it. My own fanfic saga will also feature an 'apocalypse battle' sometime in the far future between the good humans, fay, and gargoyles of the world, joined by the Shiar and Nokkar's race, against the Unseelie, the World Terrorism Alliance (don't ask about it, I can only say that this organization will be created eventually and cause numerous problems for our heroes), and the Zenthrans, aka the Space Spawn. That's far in the future and I have a lot of preparation, foreshadowing, etc. stories to do first, but it will come out many many years from now. That's all I can say about it at this time.
See ya guys out at the Gathering or out in cyberspace!
(Doug turns a huge fan on that stirs up all the water on the floor into more tsunamis that carry him surfing out the comment room door. The TGS lawyer follows behind on his own surfboard, waving a mop angrily and demanding Doug come back and clean up all the water he's spilled.)

Hey all!!

This is my first real stop here at the TGS comment room and I must say that it looks great. Actually the reason I haven't been visiting the TGS site recently is because I saw point since the second season wouldn't be starting anytime soon. Personally I can't wait to see what the people in charge of the 'Saga' have in store for season two.
Anyway another topic that I would like to discuss is one that I know none of us faithful gargoyles fans wants to talk or even hear about. The eventual collapse of all things 'Gargoyles' related like homepages, fanfics, chat rooms and probably even the Gatherings. I don't want to think about it anymore than you do but you have to accept the fact that until Disney puts our favorite clan back on the air or finally get that movie on the silver screen we might as well be fighting Oberon with little more than sling shots and iron ball bearings. Personally I have already come up with a plan and it basically, eventually, to write a final fanfic series that makes it look as though everything in my fanfic universe was destroyed but leave the glimmer of hope that it might be restored. So far I have three other fanfic writers lined up for it and I would welcome any others who would like to join in.
Well thats all I have to say at the moment so I will leave you with the hope that Gargoyles will soon dominate my TV viewing schedule. C U Later!!

Hi again, everyone! Let me just say that I missed you all. Okay, I answered these questions right before the big shutdown, so I'll answer 'em again in case anybody missed my wonderful answers!
Least Fav Month: Don't really have one, but if I absolutely had to pick, I guess it'd be January.
Least Fav Year: Any of the ones in the 1700's when England had control of Scotland. I'm part Scottish myself and I'm fiercely proud of it, and the things that the English were doing to the Scottish people to try to erase their heritage from existence during that time really get me upset.
Fav Date: May 16th. It's the anniversary of the day the world was graced with the prescence of the Ravyn! (in other words, it's my birthday.) A close second is Valentine's Day of this year.
Least Fav Date: Valentine's Day of 1997. Don't ask.
Fav Human Eye Color: Blue-green.
Least Fav Human Eye Color: Gray. No offense if anyone out there has gray eyes, though.
Fav Human Hair Color & Length: For colors, all of them. I was in love with a guy once that would dye his hair a different color every month, so I learned to appreciate them all. For length, I like it kind of long down to about the shoulders.
Least Fav Human Hair Color & Length: Hmm, no least fav colors, but I kinda don't like long hair on some people. It depends, though.
Fav Gargoyle Hair Color & Length: I like Brooklyn's.
Least Fav Gargoyle Hair Color & Length: Hmm...can't think of any right now.
Fav Gargoyle Skin Color: I liked Obsidiana's dark blue.
Least Fav Gargoyle Skin Color: White
Fav Gargoyle Wing Pattern/Design: I liked Elisa's when she was a gargoyle.
Least Fav Gargoyle Wing Pattern/Design: Lexington's. No offense, Lex.
Fav Fae Powers/Abilities: Oberon's 'do whatever you want' type power. Wouldn't it be fun just to flick your wrist and a car would go flying?
Least Fav Fae Powers/Abilities: The Banshee's ability to turn into a giant, ugly worm. Who'd wanna do that?
Well, that's all for me now. See ya!

Firestorm: Thanks for the pic, it seems we're gonna be three brown-haired white guys with acne in the same room (you, me, and the Baron). Hope no one gets us confused up there. The only thing that _could_ keep Fire Storm from going is expense. I hope he can afford all of it and have some to spare. He hasn't been saving up for this because his plans got canceled on him early on. Basically he's going on two week's pay, which isn't much. He'll borrow some from me, but it won't be enough.

EVERYONE> Does anyone have last week's TGS AND s8 Comment Rooms saved and could you possibly send me a copy? I never got a chance to save them. Thanks :)

Color differences: I wish Gore (or whoever is creating the site and the stuff for it) made it so there was some type of sample-text page (for permanent purposes) to see what the colors look like. What do you think?

Although on s8 CR, Gore said it was more fun to guess and play around. I got this from Bud-Clare: Why don't we mention in our posts what color we're using. I'm using Bright Red.

Doug>
<<I'll miss seeing you at the Gathering... ~Doug>> Ahhww. :) **thinking: that's sweet** Of course he'll bring a picture of me. Actually, he'll bring LOTS of pictures of me (that's if he can go and his boss says yes). He said he'll miss me TOO MUCH. He's also planning of taking LOTS of pictures while he's there. So I'll know what went on and what everyone looks like. He'll also try to post them on the 'net for others as well.

He plans to bring a few of his computer supplies. OF what I know, he'll bring his lap-top, CD Burner, 1 or 2 didgital cameras, maybe a regular camera, maybe a cam-corder, and a sample of the Video CD that he made for Jackal. All of you have got to check that out. It's more than you expected. He did a great job putting it all together. And I have to warn you, he is VERY possessive of his belongings, especially his computer stuff. Don't take it personally or get offended by it, it's just the way he is. The only people that I know of that he lets touch his things are me and his dad.

But don't forget, he has to find out first if he can go.

Lisa> I'll miss you. I hope you have a good time with your family.

Everyone> Now this is probably a dumb question, but I never said I was a computer genius. And ignorance of a situation or concept never implied a character was stupid through and through. I know the hotel has ports for internet use, but do you have to use an e-mail address the hotel signs/gives you, or can you use you own/old e-mail address?

Doug walks in, accompanied by a wiry and muscular gray-haired man in camoflauge gear.)
Brian: Sorry, man, I don't think the Phoenix Gate will help you, as history cannot be changed. However, Colonel Tomlinson here has heard of your excellent combat and intelligence record and offers you a spot as a Sergeant in his militia if you need to go on the run and still want to kick butt. Most of the guys and girls in the Commandos are on the run, too, for various other reasons, so you should feel right at home :). For more information on this militia group, see my fanfiction stories. All but the first two feature them in some capacity. (end shameless plug)
Lady Mystic: Thanks for the info, hope the boss says it's okay. I'll miss seeing you at the Gathering, but I'm sure if Firestorm comes that he'll have pictures so I can at least see what you look like (I'm bringing one of Lisa, of course). Maybe next time we'll actually get to meet. Since you are a very interesting person, I'll be looking forward to it. (grin)
Hyena Pic: Man, she looks like she's related to Mr. Sinister. Oh well, maybe she is. That guy's so damned powerful I've always suspected him of being something more than a mutant, maybe an Unseelie. Maybe...
Lisa: God, I'll be missing you terribly (duh!). Send lots of e-mail while you're away, okay? I'll still be posting in here whenever I feel like it, except during the Gathering, when I'll probably be having too much fun.
That's all I have to say for now. Talk to you guys later!

(Lisa hobbles in all bandaged and casted up, looking like she's just been through history's worst catfight. She limps to the center of the room to say her piece.)
Brian: You're right, I shouldn't have done that cheerleading thing. Doug warned me not to dabble in the black arts, but I had to not listen. Instead, I had to have a bunch of angry character femme fatales knock some sense into me big time. Our cleric pal Orion is gonna laugh his head off when he sees all this, and I'm gonna cringe at the bill. Ugh. I just hope their mates don't come after me next. That would probably mean instant death, considering all the humiliation I put those characters through. God, why do I have to be so dumb sometimes?
Gore: Hope you at least appreciated the display. It was very hard getting it all set up, especially when I had to charm them all. The Weird Sisters were tough to win over, Maeve and Titania even more so. But they were nothing compared to Changeling. That girl has more mental strength than Charles Xavier! (Uh oh, Doug's glaring at me, I better not say any more about that character he won't put in his work for three more tales.) One mistake I've noticed in the add to chat room image list. You've misspelled Elisa's name, it is not Eliza. Fix that, and it will all be good. Thanks for getting it all back up so quickly. One other thing- it would also be great if you could fix it so this form's data reposts when you go out of it to look at the comment room and make sure you didn't forget something and then come back. That's how it was before, and now when you do that, it just turns everything blank and I have to type it over again. Ugh.
Todd: Good guide, thanks for it. Can't wait to see more. Now I know where to go when I need info about something in the Gargoyles Universe and don't want to have to watch all the episodes we have on tape over again.
Everyone: This will be my last post for a while, I'm afraid. I have to go back home tomorrow for the aforementioned visit that prevents me from attending the Gathering with Doug and the rest of you who are going (GRR!! ARRGH!!). I suspect my Internet access there will be limited, so I'll just wait till I'm back in Austin in a couple weeks before I post again. Hope nobody misses me too much. I know I'll miss everyone here terribly, even though I'll still read the CR posts if I get time to.
Later all!!
(Lisa turns to leave, to find all the mates of the characters she charmed and humiliated previously standing at the door waiting for her. She gulps, but then Brooklyn walks forward and says, "She's suffered enough, guys. Let's let her go." Oberon and Madoc glare angrily at Lisa and prepare spells, but the rest of the clan tackles them and Ares O'Neil and Talon shock both with hand-charges as a ferocious battle erupts in the chatroom foyer. Brooklyn rushes Lisa out in the confusion, thanks her for the great laugh (he got the whole display on tape!), and then runs back in to help the good guys. Lisa sighs, rolls her eyes, and limps off to find Orion before her injuries get worse. She'll be back in two weeks hopefully.)

< BRIAN!!!!!! , you #*@%ing moron , you left the damn valve for the nerve gas cylinder loose . Youve killed half the personnel , report back to U.S.I.S.O. IMMEDIATELY , FOR EXECUTION .>

Uh , guys whoever has the Phoenix gate , could I please borrow it , I promise I'd bring it right back .

Thanks to everyone who's enjoyed my "Gargoyles Guide" so far. I sent off some more of it to Avalon Archives (all the way down to "Black Rock Point" - cf. "Double Jeopardy") a couple of days ago; hopefully it'll be up there soon.

I think this makes either week three or week four I've come in fourth. I'm not even trying hard. While the room was down some of the bored people posted new stories. Thanks Gore for getting us back up. Later world. Starsinger

Just stopping by for the update...

DOUG> Fire Storm's home for break (as of 6 pm). He told me to tell you (he couldn't do it himself -- he's pressed for time. He has to be back at work REALLY soon.) that his boss still hasn't made up his mind yet. Schedules for next week come out tomorrow, Friday, after 1 pm. Fire Storm will know by then (hopefully). Sorry for the wait. I hope he CAN go, even though it will be without me.

Talk to all of you later...

(Doug walks in, followed by Lisa, Angela, Titania, Fox, Hyena, the Weird Sisters, Maeve, Demona, Molly, the Banshee, Asrial, Una, Maggie, Delilah, Sharon, Sata, Ariana, Sora, Obsidiana, Elisa, Beth, Sara Jasper, Margo Yale, Robyn Canmore, Brianna, Asrial, Atalanta, Aiden, Birdie, Cordelia, Elektra (from Christine Morgan's fanfic), Rose Maza, Liberty, Pontiac (from Coyote's fanfic), Laura James, Lillith, and the Changeling (from my own fanfic work, past and future), all dressed in cheerleading outfits and everyone but Lisa and Doug looking listless and glassy-eyed. Everyone begins to wonder what they're up to.)
Lady Mystic: Thanks for the info. Hope I hear back from you soon, and the boss says yes.
Todd: Guide's great so far. I can hardly wait to see more of it. Keep up the good work!!
Gore: Lisa was so happy you got the chat room back up she's been dabbling in the black arts and has charmed several Gargoyles Universe characters to do the following display against their will. I did NOT approve of this, but I couldn't stop her, so here goes.
(Doug waves at Lisa to go ahead and walks out of the chat room before something bad happens. Lisa and the charmed characters immediately start doing a huge cheering display of cartwheels, somersaults, pom-pom-shaking, high kicks, and other acrobatics, while shouting, "Go, Gore!!", "Gore, Gore, good man in a storm, he got the site back up before the norm!!" and other pathetic cheerleading phrases. Just as they all get into a large pyramid and shout "Go Gore!!" the spell Lisa put on the characters wears off and they all begin to get very mad at her. Lisa screams for help and runs out of the room, pursued by many angry characters and two fanfic writers she forgot to ask for permission. Boy, would Doug hate to be his girlfriend when they corner her eventually!)

Looks pretty good. Just wanna add a post without an image to make sure it doesn't cause any problems, code wise that is.

No worries.

Hi guys. I've just added back in the CR pics for here. At least I think I have. Heh. I'm not sure, you may find some that don't work. If you do, e-mail me about it and I'll fix it.

Also added the Text-Only option for the comment room.

lemme know when you find problems.

OH! one thing. The descriptions for the images.... I have NO CLUE what to put for the images. heh. So I just went by the filenames. So I'm sure there are some that aren't labled the way they should be so if someone could e-mail me and let me know which ones I've got wrong and give me a list of what I have with the CORRECT description next to it, I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Hope this all works. :)

I hope this is my signature/usual color. The color names are different than before. And last night on s8 I picked the same name but to my later knowledge it was a different hue/shade of red. Oh well, here goes.

Hi Everyone! It's good to see all of you again! :)

Theresa> I asked this last time I posted, just before the crash, and your post number just reminded me: How many weeks have you come in forth now? <said with a smile>

Todd> Read your "Guide to the Gargoyles Universe". Here's my little bit of support: You did a great job so far. Keep it up. :)

Doug> Fire Storm is at work at the moment (as of 2:30 pm), and his manager still hasn't gotten around to answering him. I'll be sure to ask Fire Storm as soon as he gets home for break (can't really call it a lunch-break because it' ;s actually around dinner/supper -- he works afternoons/evenings). I know, cutting it a little too close for comfort. [I told him not to cancel his vacation reservations even if we didn't end up going (because I had a feeling the tables may turn som ehow -- putting it bluntly), but did he listen to me? No. <grin>]

TGS Staff and Gore> If you need pics, archives, htm's/html's, etc. , just ask. I have a LOT of saved stuff. (As I'm sure many others do as well.) So there's got to be just about everything available somewhere.

TGS> FYI, Fire Storm sent Gore a whole mess of pics from both s8 and the TGS CR that I had/have, so if you haven't checked yet please do so. (Although I'm sure you already have.) I have all the weekly CRs saved (except last week) from TGS CR and s8:Gargoyles CR. I've got other stuff I can't recall at the moment, but feel free to ask. -- Just wanted to help.

I'll see you later. (Hopefully soon, Doug, so you will know if Fire Storm is going or not.)

Hey, all! Gore: I'm really sorry about the website. Glad you were able to get the comment rooms back so fast, though! Hope you can get the rest of the site back up soon.
So how's everyone else doing? I missed hearing from all of you the last couple days. Good to be seeing ya'll again!
Well, I guess that's it for me right now. See ya around!

(Doug runs in carrying a huge flamethrower device. George
Harrisson is chasing him, and as George runs in, Doug sprays
the fire at him. George screams and runs off, trying to put
out the flames on his expensive black blazer.)
That was close, he he.
Gore: Geez, that really sucks (what happened). Glad you're
getting this place back up. Like many, I was lonely without
it.
Firestorm: Hope your boss says okay soon, I'll keep my
fingers crossed. Oh, and by the way, sprockets and cogs are
two different types of gear, a vital machine part in any
age, the future or today. But you're right, George probably
didn't do anything all day except press the button, talk to
the dumb computer, and get yelled at. That was all we needed
to see.
Everyone: Good to see you all!! I'll post more as time goes
on. Gotta go now, see y'all!!
(Doug walks back out, his flamethrower ready in case George
comes back.)

Fourth>>> Actually, Dragonfly, your number two. Gore is number one. On the posting and in my book.
I wasn't too worried about the down time since Gore
posted in S8's room, but I'VE MISSED EVERYONE!!!!
What's the current countdown to Ragnorok?

TGS comment room. Indeed, back with a vengeance.

Thanx much to Gorebash for bringing this bad boy back
online. I understand that this is a new program he's trying
out so that explains the lack of the comment room pics we
all know and love. Hopefully we can get that re-instated as
soon as possible.

Offline for 4 days. Doesn't it feel good to be back :)

(Draegonfly emerges from the shadows.)
Hey, there's nothing on screen. Does that mean I'm first?
I love it! First time I make a comment, and I'm the first
here. Then again, it could just be the computer - I haven't
been able to get in here the last few days. Anyone else
have that problem?
By the way, I'm Draegonfly, and the first, most important
thing I have to say is: THANK YOU! to the wonderful people
who put together this web-site and all the other brilliant
gargoyle-related sites out there. I've liked gargoyles
since I first saw it several years ago, but I got seriously
addicted to the show when my family got pay-TV and I could
watch it on the Disney channel. Then my parents got rid
it!!!
Life was hard for the little Draegonfly, then she discovered
that it was on regular TV! (all together now - Yea!)...Just
in time to catch the final, that's-it-folks, season.
(Sometimes I think Fate has a similar sense of humour to
those people who pull wings off butterflies.)
Just when my parents were begining to think they'd have to
call in the men in white coats with the special jackets, I
found this website, and The Gargoyles Saga, and stopped
prowling the streets late at night in the hope of seeing
something seven feet tall with wings.
Anyway, before you all start throwing pieces of furniture at
me in a vain attempt to shut me up, to the people at TGS,
keep up the good work. Can't wait until the next season
starts.
(Draegonfly ducks a flying chair, then returns to the
shadows of the comment room.)
