Oh boy...
I just checked the TGS site... Reminds me of a Dave Mathews Band song.
"Crash... into me, yeah..."
Things fall apart, I guess.
No pictures, Java's blown...
HEY! Speaking of which... WHERES THE CR PICS?

**Coyote enters the room with a flourish, the result of his recent viewing of "The Man in the Iron Mask" (good movie, BTW).**
Hi again. Just coming by to add this to the discussion.
Doug: Actually, I was referring to an airbrushed shirt with some well-sculpted blue abs painted on it. When I thought about the Broadway costume, I was actually going to either paint myself blue or wear a light blue shirt under the shoulder-and-chest gear (including the wings). But I decided the head would be too hard to make up, so I would stick with cyber-implants which would be easier. (Lord knows I don't have the abs to pull it off *naturally!*)
**Coyote exits with an equal amount of flourish as his entrance.**

** Doug appears on the viewscreen, walking up to SJ's lab closet with a heavy laser-powered Gatling gun. "Okay, Jim!" he shouts to his friend who's standing beside the door. "Throw it open!" Jim does so, and Doug averts his gaze as he rakes the interior with a volley of shots until all of SJ's misguided experiements have been destroyed. He blows smoke from the Gatling gun's barrels and turns to face the room. **
Okay, Sevarius Jr., your lab should be safer now. <grin> BTW, you don't have to worry about your dad doing anything Rocky Horror in my fic. All he does is clone himself, hire some gang members, mutate and brainwash one of David Xanatos's children, get killed by Fox, you get the idea. The story's already finished, I'm just waiting for Chris to restore his site before I post it. "Masterpiece" (the title's a reference to Sevarius's creation in the story, not anything egotistical), guest-starring the X-Men and SJ's dad in addition to starring the clan, the Xanatoses, and Silvan, and introducing my new heroine character Changeling, will be out very soon. I hope. :)
Okay, that's all for now.
Two hours to go, I'm so excited!!
(The viewscreen goes blank as Doug and Jim close the closet and leave.)

This site's acting all goofy. That figures, the Rising is hours away, and everything goes to hell...or Ragnarok, whichever you prefer.
Lady Mystic: Geez! All that trouble just to make it onto this Earth safe and sound! Well, glad that you're here, scar or no scar. Oh and about the whole homosexual/testoterone thing: Yeah, I know the whole male-effiminate/female-masculine thing is just a stereotype, one that ain't necessarily true. I just said that because, well, in my opinion, Brooklyn was always the most butch of the Trio. That boy was horndog. That's okay, that's part of what makes him cool. Oh and thanks for the compliment on my little creativity damien!
And yes, I hope everybody practices safe sex. Safety first people.
Doug: Nice filk my friend. Found myself humming along with it :) By the way, didn't you say that my pop was gonna guest star in your next fic? Can I please make a request? Don't ever mention Rocky Horror in front of him. I've already had drag his butt outta the pokey twice last month for prancing in his bra and panties (please, PLEASE, don't ask). Damn you Susan Sarandon! Quit prank calling us!
To all the folks who complimented me on my lab--Yes, I do try to keep it nice and tidy. Just whatever you do, DON'T LOOK IN THE CLOSET. It's where I keep all those projects that...don't quite live up to my expectations (I think the Ken Starr clone is lurking in there too...God, I was drunk that night! Why the hell did I create him?). You thought the Barney scared you? Trust me--don't open the closet.
Wilek: Hmm...The aliens from Aliens, huh? I think I can arrange that. I warn you though, those little buggers like to nip at ya. As for a Garg host....I wonder if Demona's free? (Sorry Angie!...Um, I mean Angela)
Oh, and to Lurker and the other new guys and gals out there, Welcome to our little branch of insanity.
Oh well, I'm gonna go wait patiently in a corner till the moment arrives...Behold, the RISING!

Rayvn >> Yes, I mean this dress. Batya did a wonderful job on the art and I wanted one the moment I saw the picture. I found some lovely amythist purple in two almost identical shades. I figues the darker purple for the bodice and undersleeves and the lighter for the skirt and the oversleeves. Line the oversleeves in silver or silver/purple brocade with the lighter bands in lilac or cream silk. Hey, if I'm spending $15.oo a yard for velvet I might as well go all the way. If I just get my weight down a little more, I can start sometime in March. Red is not my color, but green and purple are. Anyone else want to discuss
costumes of room let me know. There is a fantasy costume list that I can forward to for help if you need ideas on things.

Hmm... It looks like Apache was just installed on the http://www.gargoyles.org site, so the TGS page doesn't give me TGS, but an "Apache was successfully installed!" page. Which is cool, but will the Rising happen at the right time?
By the way, I noticed that the text only site had a link to the rising, but the rising itself doesn't seem to be there. Will that one be ready yet?

Brian: <<In your fic (this is nagging at me so much I could'nt wait ) I just ca'nt imagine Xanatos crying , whenever I try my brain starts to object . Red eyed with rings ... that I can do with some effort , but I ca'nt see him outright crying unless someone close to him , like his father, wife, Owen or Alex were killed or betrayed him . >>
Consider this, Brian. Would you consider Xanatos as being close to himself? I would. In that scene, he was weeping because he was betraying himself, he has changed from the way he was, or was trying to, and was mourning his inability and self-betrayal. As well as the pain he'd caused because of it. I too can hardly imagine Xanatos crying except under the circumstances you mention. You'll notice in my next fic that though he comes under a lot of pain, he still won't cry at all. You'll see why when and if you read it. Hope you're enjoying my work, and that I soon recieve your feedback. I'm waiting till I get it to post the almost-done "Masterpiece." (And no, the title is not meant in a selfish way, it's a reference to what Sevarius does in the story.) Glad you're over your dengue fever bout.
Costumes: Well, you don't have to use an airbrush to turn your skin a different color. CrzyDemona did it with a bodysuit and makeup. I'll probably be doing the same. I'll need to contact Lucy in Disguise (the best local costume shop) for materials closer to Gathering time. :) Good luck to everyone in finding their costume.

**Coyote enters the room walking normally.**
Whoa, you spend four hours changing the master cylinder in your car and you miss the *most* interesting conversations!
Lady Mystic: My brother did get tested. Negative on all counts. I thought I'd answered that before ... then again, lately I can't find my own butt with both hands and a map.
Costuming: I've been racking my brain for what to do for the Masquerade Ball next year ... started thinking of Broadway (I have the gut for it), then vacillated around a bunch of others ... I have it narrowed down to three possibilities:
Hudson (that way I can have the gut *and* wear a shirt!)
Preston Vogel (after he left Weight Watchers)
Samson (my own character ... have some interesting thoughts on how to do cyberimplants on the costume ... not to mention airbrished blue abs ;))
I don't want to do anything *too* elaborate, but at the same time I don't want to do anything too chintzy. I'm kind of stuck ...
**shrugs shoulders**
Oh well.

(One of Brian's gateways manifest in the middle of the coment room , Through it Brian is seen pacing back and forth across a long hall littered with cigarette butts , he is smoking at a phenomenol rate between bites of a cold turkey sandwich .)
Just a few more hours , just a few more hours .
(Turns to the comment room .) Hey all .
Lady Mystic : Glad to know I was fairly close although an alien abduction may have been a bit more interesting and explanatory of your talents . And I was'nt certain of the spelling so I went for pronunciation . It's spelt "Dengue" .
How do you Manage to write such long posts ? I have tried and can't manage anything near your caliber .
Jeb : How can I alter information on the registry ? I want to add a few callsigns as well as post more information .
Firestorm : Hate was really too strong a word but I could'nt bother to write "stop reminding me that I was nearly able to avoid this torture" , all those times . Though "hate" really was too strong a word , Perhaps dislike would have been more fitting .
(Brian stuffs the rest of the sandwich down his throat and takes one final drag to finish his cigarette , he immediately produces another one and he lights it and takes a drag before the last one hits the floor .)
Gore : That picture that I saw on the site with all the humans around the Manhattan clan without showing fear and creating an atmosphere of acceptance . Where was that from .
Ravyn/Lisa : Gal can be offensive in Jamaica . It all depends on how it is used .
My Fever - Do'nt worry I am nearly completely over it and am nearly back to my former vigour .
Doug : I've always thought of Broadway as a pale blue , his colour seems to be the object of some controversy . In your fic (this is nagging at me so much I could'nt wait ) I just ca'nt imagine Xanatos crying , whenever I try my brain starts to object . Red eyed with rings ... that I can do with some effort , but I ca'nt see him outright crying unless someone close to him , like his father , wife , Owen or son were killed or betrayed him .
Wilek : Where did you say that you got all this Star Wars Hardware .
SJ : How bout a self destructon mechanism on those pods if you ever turn out anything like that again . If you need some explosives just let me know , I'll search my cache and find something appropriate . I might even have an ICBM warhead if the threat is great enough .
(the door to the comment room opens and another Brian walks in . Brian in the hall turns to look at Brian at the door .) Oh dear . (Brian at the door runs out and is enveloped in Phoenix flame and is gone .) Well that was unexpected . (walks down the corridor picks up a pay phone , dials and waits .) Jebediah , have you been lacing my cigarettes again ? I'm seeing things here .

Todd and Wilek: Just for the record, Lisa should have said "couple of best friends," not just "couple." We know Richard and Angela won't ever get together (that won't stop George from going after them, though <grin>), sorry for the mistake in terms. LM's scar> Wow. I always thought she'd been abducted by aliens.
Doug and Lisa/Kitainia> I always thought Broadway was green (check the animated icon at www.s8.org/gargoyles). Hmm. For that matter, I thought Broadway was with Angela. Interesting filk, BTW.
SJ's lab> Very nice lab. Can you whip me up one of those crittery things from Alien? With wings and reversal-jointed legs like a gargoyle. If you have a xenomorph egg in the freezer and a Goliath-like garg to use as host material (Thailog perhaps?), that would be perfect. I'll pay you with the starfighter of your choice. BTW, I know you're interested in biology; click my name for a very interesting set of biological essays. Oh, and do you have a genotronic replicator? Much faster and more efficient than cloning. I can provide one...
BTW, I notice something very interesting in Keith David's portrayal of Spawn in the animated series. Spawn is essentially an evil being fighting on the side of good, while Goliath is a good being who, because of his appearance and ferocity, is often thought of as evil by the ignorant (the Quarrymen spring to mind). How interesting.

Don't worry, I have lots of other uses besides being a count-down for the Rising. I write some of the stories, serve on Breakdowns, and am even the current unofficial head for "Pendragon". So I'm hardly out of a job.
DOUG - I don't actually see Richard and Angela as a couple, and I doubt that Christi (who created the character of Richard) sees them ever getting that way either. Just imagine the combined responses of Broadway, Demona, and George if something like that happened - not to mention what Goliath would say about it (which would be all the more awkward for him in view of the fact that he's the one gargoyle in the world who definitely can't protest inter-species relationships :)

And since the CRs are so close knit with the same posters maybe you should just use one common name. I'm glad to hear about the safe sex issue. Lisa: No I'm not pregnant. I'm sorry for the confusion. I did say that Fire Storm and I didn't have any children. I should have clarified a bit more. My sister is the one I mother. She means more to me than anything. She's also, in a sense, like a child to FS and me. But she's also our peer. She's 17, but is in Special Ed. for a learning disability and being a very sensitive person. (That's okay. I'm very sensitive too. But Special Ed. kids tend to be over that barrier of sensitivity where it's way too fragile.) She's a unique individual, a combination of innocence, a young child, an adolescent, a late teen, and a mature adult. She's also *my* mother at times, my best friend, nurse, sister, and teacher. I've also been her role model for about as long as she has been alive. Actually, we're each other's role models. A unique relationship. :)

Lady Mystic: Are you pregnant? Your last post kinda implied it, just curious. If so, hope you and FS can handle it. Congratulations.
Yes, Doug and I practice safe sex. Condom every time we do actual penetration. No STDs for either of us. And I'm infertile due to an aforementioned accident, unfortunately. So practicing it matters to us, but not that much. Hope that answers your question.
Too bad you didn't get to go to the wedding. Oh well, maybe next time both you and FS will go. I know that if any of my family gets married, Doug will surely be invited. Ray and Steph both know him, and they like him very much. So does my father, even if Doug beat him at putt-putt something fierce. I've also met two of Doug's cousins IRL and his sister by phone and e-mail, they're okay with me, too. I don't know the rest of Doug's family yet, but I'm sure I will someday. So I can't say the same for them right now. Oh well.
Thanks for the story about your birth. That was interesting. I had no similar birth problems myself, but my mother did go through twenty-eight hours of labor producing Stephanie and me. So it was a problem for her. Ray's birth caused more, though (thirty-six hours), guess giving birth is easier the second time around.
Brian: Hope you get better soon, sorry I didn't say that already. I'm not offended by the term gal, either. Of course, I'm from Texas, so why would I be?
GWT Costumes: For next year's Gathering, if we come (and we probably will), Doug and I will be dressed as our favorite fanfic couple. We were planning to go as our favorite TGS couple (Richard and Angela) last time, so it kinda evens out. Our favorite fanfic couple is Broadway and Elektra, so Christine should be happy to see our costumes. We're already making plans for them. Doug's bought a lot of extra padding and blue cloth for his as well as the leather fabric for the loincloth, I've got the shift and jewelry for Elektra. Now we just need wings, tails, and Broadway's head. This shouldn't take us too long, but we've got time. (grin)
SJ: Finally we got to see your lab! And I must say, it looks nice. You certainly have it well stocked, for someone who's only a slightly deranged and occasionally mad scientist!
DumlaoX: Nice website upgrade. Glad you'll be sticking around. Keep up the good work.
Todd: The countdown is now over? Good. I will be waiting. One more day, one more day, one more day.
Okay, gotta go! See y'all later. That's all for now.

Hello everyone! Wow, it's been a whole week!
Wow, a lot of newbies! Welcome! :)
Brian>
It's good to hear that you will be trying to stop by more often. "Denge fever," do you mean Dengue fever, from what I know, a disease marked by headaches, severe joint pain, and rash? Is that the same fever? I hope you get well. Do you get this on a fairly regular basis, or is this your first time contracting it? With me, ever since I first got strep throat, I tend to contract it very easily. (Yes I know the two are not the same, but I was just stating that some diseases are contracted once, and then you are susceptible to getting them again.) It's nice to see you around more often. :)
<<...surely you must have more [swear words] in the states than the standard 4-letter variety>> Oh we do, but actually there are more varieties of swear words in other languages than in English. Many more. Compared to some cultures, English has the least amount of swear words. I used to take German and American Sign Language (ASL) in high school (although much too out of practice to converse with anyone). My father was stationed in Germany 30 years ago when he was in the army. He still remembers some stuff. And his girlfriend is a German-Ukrainian from Quebec. Her father speaks 7 different languages (reminds me of my father's grandmother). Although, he doesn't get along with people too well so I won't be able to ask him to teach me all those languages I adore. (And Ukrainian is one of them! :()
And I'm not offended by the term "gal."
All right, here's the answer to the "LM's mysterious scar">
First off, it isn't just a few inches long, but goes from the side of my chest (more as the side of my ribcage than the chest), under my left arm, and just about all the way to my spine. And Fire Storm's "story" of that particular isolated bit of the story isn't truly accurate.
Brian had the closest guess, but no one tried to guess what caused me to have to have the operation.
I was born 2 1/2 months premature. I weighed only 2 1/2 pounds when I was born. But at one drastic part of the struggle, I weighed barely 1 pound. That operation was what saved my life. I was literally breathing blood and my lung collapsed. I stopped breathing. And was dead for awhile. The doctors had to either tie off a certain blood vessel or open it up, I can't remember which I was told. Either way, that blood vessel controlled the correct function of respiration. I was then put on an experimental treatment (experimental for that time) that kept my lungs from malfunctioning and promoted their growing in strength. I was in the hospital for 90 days. I was in an incubator a good amount of that time as well. (I have pictures of some of this, so I know how sick I looked. Ever see a newborn baby with a constant look of anguish and a pain stricken face? *That* should never exist. Diapers for premies during that time were not the best design for babies of my size. The diaper was literally bigger than I was.) I wasn't in the womb long enough to learn the instinct to suck, so feeding was done through a tube that was shoved down my throat to my stomach. I also had a catheter. My fingers and toes were so small that blood samples were taken directly from my head's scalp. Not a pretty experience for new parents that tried for 8 years to have a child and finally got one who was on her deathbed. Let alone the fact that my father's father died about a month before my birth, and that my father was battling alcoholism. So those scars are my "battle scars" with good reason. I *was* battling for my life, and for everyone else's sake and mine.
I told you a few months ago that I wasn't born in comfortable circumstances. And as I've also said before, this does intertwine with my psychic abilities and such, which are interesting storytelling in themselves. Hmm ... after mentioning this stuff and all my aforementioned life events it almost makes me think that I should record all this down in some sort of biography. Hmm ... another thing to practice my writing skills on. :)
Sevarius Jr.: Your "Rats with Wings" mini-story was nicely written. Good job! :) <<Oh, and in this, Brooklyn's gay. Um...there's nothing wrong with that but...well, I don't picture Brooklyn that way. Way too much testorone in the lad.>> FS wrote a fanfic pre-G'98 dealing with Brooklyn being gay (and some other issues too). You might see it on the net eventually, but it needs a lot of work done to it before it reaches other people's monitor screens. And HEY! Who said that homosexuals had less testosterone than heterosexuals did! Homosexual men don't have to look effeminate. And lesbians don't have to look masculine. And homosexuals can have just as much sexuality as heterosexuals can. And bisexuals too. But I agree with you on one thing: I don't see how Brooklyn could even be gay at all. It is clear from the show that he is heterosexual. Oh well. Maybe in that writer's (and Fire Storm's) world their characters had a slightly different past from what we've seen on TV.
Void: "Green Eggs and Hamlet" -- ROTFL! :D
Theresa: <<Hurricane Rising>> **laughs** I like it. :) I hope the Crying Towel doesn't get lost in the mail too. I'd love to work on that costume with you. Are you going to get the purple velvet? You could help me on my costume too. I'm not the best needle-crafter, but I'm learning. And from what I've been told, I'm a really fast learner. Do you know how to work with bathing-suit material (I forgot what the fabric name is)? FS and I haven't got to that stage on our costume yet because everything we tried didn't work. And all the seamstresses we knew didn't help out too well. And it's such a lovely material. :( Too bad we didn't live closer to each other. Instead of a quilting-bee, we could have a costume-bee. :)
Stormy: I already pointed out many things that needed improvement on the TGS site. I e-mailed DumlaoX a week or so ago with my suggestions because he asked for them. (I hope I was helpful enough. I was, right DumlaoX? <:) How helpful was I?)
That reminds me...
DumlaoX: Just a reminder -- don't forget to e-mail me your feedback on my input of the matter. I'd still like to hear what you have/had to say. I understand that you are busy. Take your time. :)
Christine: CONGRATULATIONS! **takes the candy cigar and puts it with her other knick-knacks of varying importance** Souvenir. :)
Lurker: <<One thing though - does it bother anyone that there could be hundreds of people coming in here, reading what you post, and you would never know it?>> It's kind of scary on certain aspects, but hey, it's a public place. We knew beforehand that it wasn't a private chatting area. Risks come along with the territory. If you don't want something known publicly then don't say it. If you want to say something to a specific person/people and have it private, then that's what e-mail is for. But it's good to share your feelings with a large group of people because you count them all as friends, at least the ones of whom you actually see posting. Although, the people who just lurk, who knows what, how, who, or where they are and how many of them there may be. But it's worth the risk. Even if it can be frightening at times. But it's no where near overwhelming. (I wonder just how many lurkers there actually are for this board and the s8:Gargs CR? Hmm ... come on out people! Join the party! :))
My cousin's wedding: Heh, I never even ended up going. I've had, and still have, a heap-load of RL stuff to do and I had to cancel. I feel bad enough about that. Oh, well. I'll just have to wait and see what becomes of all this controversy over Fire Storm from my family in the future. (Theresa, what do you want to hear first? I'd have e-mailed you already, but I don't know where to begin. E-mail me first and ask anything you'd like. I'd really like to talk about it still. Please?)
ARGH! I didn't want this post to be long too! I'll see all of you soon, hopefully. That is if I can actually get this growing mountain of work to stop reproducing itself. Heh, that'll never be. It's a part of life. The least it could do is start having protected sex! <G>
That reminds me...
Coyote: You never answered me. **gives him a poke** I'm seriously concerned. Has your brother, the one who quit drinking after that blackout, ever been STD and HIV tested yet? Please, please get him to do so if he hasn't yet. There are more STDs than you think that have no noticeable symptoms. Please notify me. Thanks.
That also reminds me...
Doug & Lisa: Do you two practice safe sex? You should. You'd be surprised what can happen when you don't, even if neither of you have any STDs.
See you later. :)

Wilek: I don't borrow fluid from Spidey. I make it myself whenever I need to. Felicia stole the formula for me from him, that's how I got it in the first place. (For those not in the know, Felicia Hardy is one of Spiderman's former girlfriends.) I'm glad she did, it's been very useful. :)
Of course, the other Ravens also carry a lot of interesting gear, but I think Kitainia has said already what it is.
Here's what I've heard about spin-off premiere order for TGS: Gargoyles and Pendragon are this season the same series. They'll both have their premiere on Monday. Timedancer and Dark Ages don't premiere till Janurary 1st. Sigh, maybe that can be the next countdown.
DumlaoX: You aren't going away after all? Phew! You've really been doing a good job here, IMO. I know in the future it will continue. Thank you for all your good hard work! The website looks terrific.
And now, in honor of the Rising, I repost my Unseelie filk:
WORLD OF THE UNSEELIE (to the tune of "Land of Confusion," by Genesis, with apologies. Sung by Madoc Morfyrn.)
For twelve thousand years I've dreamed my dreams
And I've enacted millions of schemes
Oh, can you hear the marching feet?
We're moving down your city's street.
Gargoyles, are you happy today?
You think the Unseelie have gone away
But I can see our fire's still alight
And it'll be burning into the night.
There's too many mortals
Too many weaklings
Wielding too much power
When we just have more to go around
Oh can't you see
This should be the world of the Unseelie
Now this is the world we live in
And these are the powers we Unseelie've been given
We'll use them and you'll start trembling
Soon it'll be our world you'll be living in.
Don't you be calling for your heroes now,
Everything's gonna go our way somehow
You think it's your world, you think you have the power
Soon you'll be losing control by the hour.
This is the time
This is the place
We look to the future
And see we now have lots of power to throw around
Oh yes, this will be the world of the Unseelie.
This is the world we live in
And these are the powers my Court's been given
We'll use them and you'll start trembling
Soon it'll be our world you'll be living in.
I know that very soon -
My sun will be shining
And our stars will be bright
All through the night
And the sound of our laughter
As I hold Maeve tight
Very soon now -
We'll be marching through New York tonight
My Unseelie armies will put things right
We're not just making promises
That accursed Oberon won't let us keep.
Theres' too many mortals
There's too many weaklings
Wielding too much power
When we have more to go around
Why can't you see
This should be the world of the Unseelie.
Yes, this is the world we live in
And these are the powers my Court's been given
We'll use them and you'll start trembling
Soon it'll be my empire you'll be serving in.
Yes, this is the world we live in
And these are the places we've been given
Rank up and let's start showing
Just what places in the world we'll be enjoying soon.
That's all for now, later!

[Wilek comes in.] Hi all.
Dumlao X> I like the new site. I miss that one font that you tried for a while for the series names, though; I liked it a lot better than the current one. If I had the necessary writing or artistic skill and ability to work under a deadline, I'd join the staff in a Klingon minute.
Lurker> Welcome, and thanks for the info. And my clones? Well...I've been wondering that myself, actually. I haven't heard from them in quite a while, which isn't really a bad thing considering how psychotic they are. Although...with that bunch, quiet doesn't necessarily mean don't worry. Ack. Sometimes I'm afraid that they'll join forces with Coyote's clones. There are two that I actually like, Werewolf Wilek and Wilek Krueger, but Wilek Fieger took care of Werewolf Wilek a while back <sob>. Requesciat in pace, Werewolf my brother. Also, unlike myself, they turn to stone in the day instead of into a human, so they can't come around much, and I would feel weird going around smashing them in their sleep like a blasted Quarryman. Oh well...
Doug> Extremely keen gear. If the Ravens show up in one of my fanfics (they probably will), I'll make sure to make use of some of that. I'm very into tech stuff. (How do you get Spidey to lend you web fluid anyhow?)
Todd> What are you going to do, now that your duties as the Herald Of The Ragnarok are ended? I'm going to Disneyworld! :) j/k Seriously, what are they going to do with you? Turn you off and hang you on a coat rack until Season 3? :)
Only scant hours until the Rising...Oh, will eps for all four series go online tonight, or just Gargs? The one I'm really waiting for is Timedancer.
Must run all. [Wilek goes to the TGS site to count down the nanoseconds until the Rising.]

Ooer… one more day to go!! How exciting… that said, I *hint* hope that the eps are more on the shorter side this season… otherwise I'm never going to get anything else done! :)
Hm… no text site for now? That's a shame… that was a handy little place. Hope it gets up soon! :)
*looks around the new site* Very nice… the current ep link and "navigation sidebar" are excellent features. And I like the Season 1 & Season 2 logos.
Well, good luck to the TGS staff, as they can celebrate the going online of their first ep tomorrow. :D Long live TGS!

*DumlaoX walks into the room wearing a terribly expensive Armani suit and tie. He walks up to the front of the comment room, places his hand on a sacred book, raises his right hand in the air, and swears to tell what he has to tell to those that can hear him. He then sits down, clears his throat, and begins his dissertation.*
First off, this rumor that Doug just brought up. I can't answer for IRC Goliath (Seth to his close friends) but as for myself, the rumor is both true and untrue. After the planning for the second season of Pendragon, Gargoyles, and TimeDancer had commenced, I retired from my duties in the Breakdown staff only. I read the posts from a seperate e-mail account but I no longer respond to them. I might consider rejoining the breakdown team next year but for now I'm out of that division. However, I'm not out of the staff in general. I'm still involved in episode editing, site revisions/updates, public relations, and writing. Trust me, it's gonna take a lot to pull me away from this team.
Speaking of which, I'm going to list down a number of improvements and changes to website 2.0 in case you don't want to look through them all yourself.
-On every page there is a navigation sidebar. This way jumping from one series or department to another is easy.
-There is a current episode page. No longer do you have to navigate through each story section to wonder if a new ep is out or not. The latest episode for each series is listed here until the new one comes out.
-Art section has a dramatic upgrade. Now divided into sections. Many sections. (Give thanx to Amber for the lovely job she put into the art section).
-Staff page is still not updated yet. Gonna take more time for me to compile what I need in terms of credits.
-Links page is gone. Simply too many links pages out there (including one run by Jeb) for me to even bother competing with them.
-Feedback mail account has changed. Our new account runs more smoothly and you don't get an old return mail automatically.
-Behind The Scenes is deleted. I was essentially the only one running the page and when you run out of things to place there, you just run out.
-The TGS comment room will now become the main place for fan/staff interaction. When a Behind The Scenes moment hits me or any of the staffers, it will be posted in the CR. Questions for us or for the other fans? Ask it here. This is why the place was built in the first place. Interaction is the name of the game.
-Speaking of comment rooms, sonce Gorebash was generous enough to place his comment room code online, I will try and attempt to modify the code a bit and make a comment room that will run from the main site instead of Station 8. This way any modifications needed to the comment room will be done by myself and I won't have to pester Gorebash about any fixes or updates (in terms of code and/or new CR pics). Until that time, the comment room stays as is.
-The text site has not recieved an update yet. Do not use the text site until further notice. The place is a total mess and I need some time to clean it up and get it to shape.
-All episodes are now hyperlinked. Meaning, if you look at a story and discover through the previously on section that you missed an episode, you can hit the name of the ep and it will take you directly to that episode for you to read through.
And unless you can find anything else, that is that in terms of updates.
And no matter how many times I say this, I still mean it. On behalf of the TGS staff, I thank all of you for being so patient and for being big fans of the series through it's ups and downs. We can never tell whether we succeed or not but we know we always try.
PREPARE FOR RAGNAROK!

Lurker: Doesn't bother me in the least. I like the attention. :)
DumlaoX: Great job on the new website. BTW, I heard a rumor that you and IRC Goliath might be leaving the TGS Staff soon. I understand and all, you have other things in your lives and all, but I have to say this: I don't know if it will be as good without you as it could have been with. No one could ever replace you guys, I hope they find webmasters and story writers at least as good. I don't think I'll ever have the time for it myself, but just so y'all know I'd gladly step up if you had the inclination and I had the time. You guys will be missed, don't stray far, okay? <grin>
Sevarius Jr.: Nice lab. BTW, (Shameless Plug Alert) your dad is going to make Xanatos and Fox, especially Fox, very upset in my next fanfic. Hehehe.
Deep Pockets: Our Raven-issue backpacks are all D&D bags of holding. They have to be with all the stuff we carry in them. I also carry a lot of high-tech devices on my person when on a mission, you never know when they'll come in handy. Here they are, for those who are curious:
1. Pump-Action Laser-Sighted High-Power Turbo-Charged Plasma Shotgun (for those enemies who just won't peacefully go away!).
2. Jetson-patented flying-belt (so I can ride the wind).
3. Explodo-Molar (one of my teeth is a fake, it's really an easy pull-out high-powered mini-grenade I can use if I get trappped in an enemy cell).
4. Several smoke bombs, and several high-intensity flashbang grenades (for cover).
5. Wristwatch that's also a minature calculator, communications device, and laser gun.
6. Electrojammer (this device prevents most electronic devices in a 10 foot radius from functioning when turned on).
7. Invisiblity ring (slip it on, press the crystal, nobody sees you till you press it again).
8. Teutonic boots (in case I need to cause a minature earthquake while in combat).
9. Power gloves (electrically charged so I can really pack a punch).
10. Heel warning beacon (when I click my heels together and activate it, the other Ravens know I'm in serious trouble and will come running).
11. Web-shooter wristbands (like Spiderman has, in case I need to tie someone up or do any of the other things he can do with them).
12. HUD display and IR-equipped glasses (so I can see it all!).
Pretty cool, huh? Okay, that's all for now.
(Doug leaves, chanting "Two more days, two more days," over and over.)

Coyote: Thank you for killing that monstrosity. I'm sorry...some sort of mutation occurred. I promise the next one will be Coyote the Perfect.
Wilek: I think a squint is a TIE bomber, but I might be wrong (I know it's some form of TIE fighter). I believe that the regular TIE is called an Eyeball. I'm getting that slang from the X-Wing Squadron books, which are pretty good. However, it's been about a year since I read them, so my slang may be a little off. An E-wing? Sign me up. It'll have to do until I get that Star Destroyer I've always wanted...hmm, maybe for Christmas.

Coyote> Have you ever read the novel of A Clockwork Orange? One of the best books I've ever read, next to anything by Elmore Leonard (Rum Punch was his best) and any of the Dark Tower books by Stephen King (The Waste Lands is the best in that one). Anyways, I think that Alex was never a villian, just a really disturbed hero, in his own way, while Demona is a very disturbed villian, and the two never go good together now do they?

[Wilek glides in and sees the Coyote Barney clone.] NOOOOOOOO! [Wavelength transforms into her altmode and blows the living snot out of Coyote The Barney.] Thanks. There are still 12 left...
SJ> Uh, what's a Squint? I know the tech lingo but I'm not too hip with the slang. Hmm. Oh, and I have much better than an X-Wing. An E-wing is much faster, more maneuverable, and more heavily shielded. Of course, the Missile Boat is a further step up, with extremely heavy ordinance and a powerful engine overdrive. You can pay me in Phoenix Gates or sane clones of myself. *Sane* clones, not the psychopathologies that Dad churned out for Coyote.
Christine> Delay it?! I rather think not. [Wilek hacks into Godiva's computer brain, taking complete control of her.] A lap dance and MORE from Godiva, plus all I've offered before, for whoever gives us some Phoenix Gates or speeds up the schedule.
Wavers> WCC is for anyone who wants to join. Coyote has gargs, humans, dragons, cyborgs, and a car. Oh, and those who are taken are returned to the precise moment and universe that they were taken from. Dang, that's a deep pocket.
Remember all that I offer for a Phoenix Gate in working (non-timedancing) condition: heavy Imperial mil-tech, a plane ticket to the Island, *plus* a lap dance and more from Godiva. As to what 'more' is, that is left to the reader's imagination. :) Must glide. [Wilek glides out.]

Okay, buddy. See that clone over there? **points to Coyote the Barney** Go strap on some of the ol' ultraviolence on him! PLEEEEEASE!!

Christine, I consider anyone who writes or contributes to the Saga, staff. Staff is anyone who helps from giving us space to the poor abused TGS lawyer.
I believe Chistine's book will be in the stores sometime next. Can you tell us when? In the mean time she has no dining room just cartons and cartons of books and poor Tim has to take them a few at a time to the Post Awful in order to get them to us. The real advantage of getting your copy from Christine is she'll put graffittee in them for you. I remind you Christine, your official crying towel is in the mail.

Next time she writes a book, it had better be there when you say it will, or I'm gonna send another little gift, one that's bigger, meaner, and has more claws than the last one. Understand? Good.
Say Christine, will the book be out in stores? You mass marketing this baby? I'd love to walk into someplace like Barnes and Noble, or Borders and find it there. Wow, I know a celebrity now!
Aris: I'm a big B5 fan too. So, what do you make of the rumour of the changes to Crusade? Personally, I think any changes to Strazynski's work is sacrilege.
Wilek: Any chance I could get some Squints or Eyeballs too? (That's SW babble to those of you not in the know) I could also use a X-Wing or too. Got some nosy neighbors who need to learn some humility...
Ah well, I'm just killing time till Monday. Finally, the event I'm been waiting for all summer is almost here! Damn, it feels almost like Christmas.
*Suddenly, an oven timer rings. The large tank begins to drain. The tank begins to open*
Oh good, one of the clones is done. Okay, which one is it...Oh God No. NO! There...there must have been some sort of a mutation! RUN! DEAR GOD, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!
*SJ runs out of the room screaming as out of the tank steps Coyote...the Barney. "Hey kids!" the beast shouts, as he waddles away in the direction of the comment room...*

Hmm ... I could offer a private lap-dance by Godiva if they agreed to _delay_ the premiere by a couple days, how about that? ; )

*Wavers wants to inform Wilek that she can't do that, and instead sent her armor into subspace and fell off the magnet in human form*
Wilek> My altmode is a sonic pulse rifle that floats on antigravs. *alters course for the Nexus* I thought WCC was for gargoyles only, and not even humans from gargoyles fanfic could come. I'm from the about the time WCC is set in in the TF continuity, so I don't think I'll come.
Traveler> I'll up Wilek's bribe with an offer to do subspace modifications on you and all your characters. Deep pockets come in real handy. *pulls a vacuum cleaner, bug spray, a rose, a disc her boyfriend gave her, food, spare parts, spoare clothes, a hoverbike, a hang glider, spray paint, a bsketball, parts for her altmode, and The Master's pet dragon, Zippo, from her compartment* How'd he get there?

[A very disappointed Wilek, Miriam, Wavelength, and Seri come into the CR.]
Traveler> If you mean why doesn't the Gate work correctly, it's because Goliath threw it into the timestream without a mind to guide it. Goliath had been thinking about going home to his friends and clan at the time, and had been thinking specifically of Brooklyn at the precise moment that he activated the Gate. Thus, the Gate tended to home in on Brooklyn and carry him randomly throughout the timestream. However, before this happened, the Gate was quite stable, and could be used by thinking of where and when you want to go and saying an incantation. We're looking for such a stable Gate.
Hmm, you don't want to break up a matched set. That's quite simple to fix: Miriam, Wavers, Seri and myself will each take a Gate. There are four of us, so there are two matched sets that you don't have to break up when you give them to us. Now, you wanted 1 ESD, 2 TIE Avengers, and 1 lightsaber for 1 Phoenix Gate...let's see...I am prepared to offer 4 ESDs, 8 TIE Avengers, and 4 lightsabers for 4 Gates. Fair enough I think. If you only want to part with one matched set, that would be 2 ESDs, 4 Avengers, and 2 lightsabers, and I'll even throw in four cloaking TIE Phantoms and a personal holographic disguise device to sweeten the deal. Failing that...
...I am prepared to offer either Dumlao, Traveler, or Aris one final bribe: A one way plane ticket to Christine's Island Of Amazon Women.
Of course, if even *this* fails, our only alternative will be to see what the techies at the Dark Star can do with hyperdrives, to facilitate our entry into the Nexus and the cracks between universes. I'd really rather not have to resort to that; hyperdrives get *weird* when they're messed with. Well, must run all. [The Gate Hunters stalk off.]

>Wilek and co.- So close and yet so far. Sorry, Aris has already answered the question correctly and therefore won the Gate. Although I would have traded for an Eclipse class SD (I accidentaly blew up my last one, don't ask how), a couple of TIE Avengers(Jeez those things can corner great), and a Lightsaber to round it out. But alas I already gave it away. Now I did say I "A bunch of them around here collecting dust" but the problem with that is I now have an even number of them, so their all matched sets now. (I use them for bookends.) See I had that one to give away because I lost the other. Yea I know, how could you loose one of the most powerful talismans in the universe? And further still, why do you have so many that you can use them as book ends? Well... you'd be surprised at what you can find when you're traveling from one universe to another and you look in the crack between the two (kinda like a cosmic couch cushion). However, if I find the one I lost or another when I next go world hopping, I'll give Miriam a ring to tell you. But if you really can't wait you might try looking in the Nexus, the point where time and space from every universe meet with the nothing...me...both...Uhhh...(don't ask again, its complicated). They should have at least a few left since a virtually infinite number of Goliaths threw a nearly infinite number of Gates there. (And all this time those other nuts have been looking in there respective timestreams for it. HA! Why do you think Oberon could'nt find it!) Of course you're only problem once you get there is their cover charge. But thats IF you get there. Hope that helps on you're quest.
Or you could just try mugging Aris. But you did'nt hear that from me. *Snickers*

I'm hesitant to ask this.... are there any more pictures of Goliath and Elisa other than the ones being posted now? Are they under construction? And I was wondering about last seasons TGS. Will they be shown on a different page or will they be listed above the second season? That's all I need to know for now. Thanks... and I'm hip with Star Wars to by the way. [The screen lights up with a picture of Wilek, Miriam, Seri, and Wavelength on the Great Phoenix Gate Hunt. There are two TIE Vanguard scout ships flying overhead. Unfortunately, Wavers has managed to get herself stuck to one of those gigantic magnets that one can find at a junkyard. Wilek and Seri are trying to pull her off, but even the two very strong gargs can't manage it without hurting her.] Hello, all. Miriam's trying to figure out the magnet controls, but it's slow going. Buick and Rush are up in the TIEs, scanning for the Gate.
Seri> You won't be 100 years old; you'll be taken into the future via a time travel spell. Very kewl. Oh, did you know that Miriam and I are in WCC? Maybe you'll meet us again. Hey, do you want to bring Wavers along? The war effort could use a Transformer or two. (BTW, Wavers, what exactly do you transform into? Some kind of weapon?)
CHRISTINE'S BOOK HAS ARRIVED! WOO-HOO!
Coyote> You're quite welcome. The dead clones finally outnumber the live ones! Yay! Your poor little dogs; are they alright?
Three long days...hey, what if we bribe DumlaoX? What's your preference, Dumlao? Cash? A check? Direct deposit? Imperial credits? Centauri duccats? Gold-pressed latinum? Military hardware? Government secrets? An enemy disposed of? A few hours in a holosuite? Coming with us on the Hunt and seeing the future of TGS? I've got it all.
If that doesn't work, we'll wait to see what happens with our deal with Traveler, then failing that, we'll continue looking for a Gate of our own. Anyone who wants to join us just speak up, and we'll send Buick to pick you up in a shuttlecraft. Hey Wavers, I've got an idea: Can you magnetize yourself at the same polarity as this side of this magnet? Like poles repel, if I'm not mistaken. [Wavelength implements Wilek's idea, and is thrown off the magnet.] There's that problem solved. This is the Great Gate Hunt, signing off. [The screen shuts down.]

DUMLAO - Thanks for explaining the Brooklyn's family business. Yes, we do run into these discrepancies occasionally, but we hope that you'll forgive us for them anyway. (Other elements of TGS differing from Greg's vision include Merlin's parentage, the manner in which the Phoenix Gate functions during "TimeDancer", and the backstory of Castle Wyvern for "Dark Ages", for the same reasons).
Congratulations on getting published, Christine!

It's interesting to learn that the whole site is going to be updated. Hmmm...I guess it makes sense though, considering that in the rush of stories last year, certain things got left. Like the list of credits...only the first few stories are credited to authors in the credits, and there's a long list of writers with no story credits after their names yet. Also the ASK TGS quesitons haven't been updated since shortly after the first premiere. Not that this is being derogatory, since I'd much rather have new stories than an updated list of credits, and I know people have only so much time on their hands (don't I know that! :-) but just that it's been somethign I've noticed.
Now help me out...what exactly is THE RISING? Is that the name of the first episode? And what the frigg is this RAGNAROK that's listed as the subject of the countdown?

I'm sorry, folks, but we have a very strict schedule, and we can't release episodes prematurely. Come on, people, it won't kill you to wait four more days. (Not unless you start threatening to commit suicide if we don't start up TGS now, and it's kind of ridiculous to do that over a mere Internet series, now, isn't it? :)
And, sorry, Sevarius Jr., but we're more likely to solve your hunger strike problem by force-feeding you, whether you like it or not. (I believe that's how they handled the "hunger strike" suffragettes back in Great Britain before women got the vote).

Wavelength and Seri> Good idea, but their Gate doesn't work right. It no longer responds to voice commands and it jumps at random. We'll have to get our collective claws on it at some point in its history before Goliath tosses it into the timestream without a mind to guide it. It has a long history, and it may have come into our time at some point when it was in fact working correctly. We'd better go looking for it.

SJ: Yeah, I read part of that fic. I have a problem with fics that make established characters gay--but those are characters that there isn't even a hint in their character on the show that would imply it. IMHO, it doesn't work for Brooklyn. I'm not saying any more, because a certain person who shall remain nameless has been doing this gratuitously with his fan-written series for another show that shall also remain nameless.... **deep breath**

We're not sure of his or her name, but a manuscript of a story in which gargoyle hero Brooklyn is portrayed as gay was found near the body, with THE HAND OF NEREUS scrawled on it in blood. Also found ws a handwritten note, apparently addressing the victim: "Read 'The Promise', you spoony bard!" Witnesses say they saw five people at the scene: A red beaked male gargoyle, a green female garg, a dark blue male garg, a normal human female dressed all in black, and a cybermechanically-enhanced human female suspected to be cyber-cannibal Hyena. More on this story as it develops..." Suddenly Shenzi the caterer comes in with her famous gourmet steak sandwiches. Wilek grabs one.] Thanks Shenz'. Wait, I think these are a little off. Smell 'em. [Shenzi smells one, decides Wilek is right, and removes the shipment.] Hey, you know, one time Hyena had to have surgery for a stomach ulcer. They finally found Jimmy Hoffa.

Kryvn: No, I haven't been reading those novels. The muryan I'm using is the name for a fairy warrior society I found in a Ravenloft module. I have a Halfling in my next fanfic that originally is called Muryan after those warriors (later she switches her alias to Changeling after the spell on her is broken). I originally picked Muryan because I assumed that was the real name of fairy soldiers/warriors in Scottish and Irish folklore. I did some research, though, and found out the term also refers to a group of fairies that were turned into ants. I wonder if they were warriors before they got transformed or what? That's why I asked the question about fairy soldiers, I wanted to make sure I wasn't in mythological error. When I get the story out, I hope I'm not.
I've heard Charles deLint is a great author, though I haven't read him. Maybe I'll check him out next time I visit the bookstore. Thanks for the recommendation.

Hey guys, you gotta check this out.
You know how, way back when, there was a big controversy here cause Jackal made some comment like, "Gee, I wonder if Brooklyn listens to Marilyn Manson." And a few people went, "MARILYN MANSON IS A DEVIL WORSHIPPER! BROOKLYN WOULD NEVER LISTEN TO HIM!" Well, some dude over at the garg-fan website just wrote a story about that. Apperently Goliath finds a copy of "Antichrist Superstar" in Brooklyn's room and the proverbial pigeon poo hits the fan. It was kinda funny really. I'm not sure if that was the author's intentions or not...Oh, and in this, Brooklyn's gay. Um...there's nothing wrong with that but...well, I don't picture Brooklyn that way. Way too much testorone in the lad.
By the way, on a related topic, Manson's new album, "Mechanical Animals", is really good (it's not as angry as "Superstar"). If you're into that stuff.
Okay, I'm done rambling.

Merlin abandoned the long white beard centuries ago. He wanted to be incognito (he has his own reasons for it) and the beard would have been a dead giveaway. On the other hand, nobody would be expecting a person without a beard to be Merlin, so going without it would make for a great disguise. (Although being a kid again wasn't part of his plan - see "Quest's End" for further details, and I'm not just saying that because I wrote it:) I don't know if he ever had a wand in the TGS universe or not.

**Coyote enters the room being driven in Lexington by Buick. As the car stops, Coyote steps out.**
Well, hello there, folks!
Stormy: Welcome to the land of utter foolishness! This is Buick, feel free to let him drive you anywhere. **the doggoyle in the driver's seat of the olive-brown Charger barks happily** Ask anyone here, they'll tell you he's a great driver! ;)
(BTW, are you the same Stormy that has some really ... rather risque quotes at the Clan Winslow site?)
Wavelength: Thanks for the suggestion. I will put "The Army of the Night" up at my site when I begin the WCC profile pages in November.
And to answer your little hope ... well, we've got more mates of Lexington thus far than Brooklyn. And there won't be any alt-Elisas or alt-anyones. Another little unwritten rule of doing inter-dimensional crossovers is that identical characters cannot cross over, whether they are alive or dead in the one universe where they all meet. ("Huh?") Basically, because Elisa existed in my universe, there can't be any alternate Elisas coming over. And don't think I hadn't considered this: I almost decided to include an alt-Hudson and alt-Bronx (both long dead in my cycle), but chose not to. However, since offspring is so varied, anything goes as far as sons, daughters, etc. Same goes for Avalon gargoyles: since not all of them have been named either in the show or in TGS, there could be any number of other Avalon gargs.
Shane: Same welcome I gave to Stormy applies to you, as well. Feel free to use Buick as your chaffeur anytime you want!
**Buick guns Lexington's engine. Coyote jogs over to the passenger door, then knocks on the window. Buick reaches over and opens the door for Coyote.**

Haven't posted in a while, but for now I entertain you by putting forth the classic rendition "Green Eggs and Hamlet" *evil grin* Enjoy!
I ask to be, or not to be. That is the question, I ask of me. This sullied life, it makes me shudder. My
uncle's boffing dear, sweet mother. Would I, could I take my life? Could I, should I, end this strife?
Should I jump out of a plane? Or throw myself before a train? Should I from a cliff just leap? Could I
put myself to sleep? Shoot myself, or take some poison? Maybe try self immoloition? To shudder off
this mortal coil, I could stab myself with a fencing foil. Slash my wrists while in the bath? Would it end
my angst and wrath? To sleep, to dream, now there's the rub. I could drop a toaster in my tub. Would
all be glad, if I were dead? Could I perhaps kill them instead? This line of thought takes consideration -
For I'm the king of procrastination.

Only the leader was supposed to be Jamaican, those guys were just comic relief jerks and no more, and I've never met any Jamaicans IRL or anywhere but here (you're the only one), so I only had bad Jamaican dialogue in movies like that James Bond one where he goes to Jamaica (forget the name) to go by. Really sorry I didn't do realistic Jamaican in there, I had no idea what Jamaica was really like. Okay, I'll wait till your feedback e-mail to say more.
Wilek: Believe me, those files can be very interesting. I know because my pal VJON gave me all of them. (Note, VJON and everything I say here are fanfic elements and completely fictional, just here for laughs.) His dad did a lot of the stuff in them, shot Kennedy and Hoover, killed Hitler, helped OJ kill Nicole and Ronald, etc. Wait until you read what really happened to Jerry Garcia. And Jimmy Hoffa, aka Oberon. And Amelia Earhart, aka Titania. Oh no, I am revealing too much!! The fay are gonna be coming after me!!!
BTW, who's the resident expert on fairies for TGS here? You know, the person who did the mythological research that turned up things like the Seelie Court, Unseelie Court, redcaps, shee knights and nobility, etc. I have a question for them- what do you call a pure fairy warrior, or what social class of the fay would a fairy like that belong to? SJ> Kewl little creativity demon thing. Something like that happened to me once. Miriam crushed the guy's head between her knees. Wait...they've decided on a title for the new Star Wars movie?! I must see it!! It's at www.starwars.com, right?
Cassandra> Very kewl gift. Miriam can give you lessons if you like, Coyote. ;)

Okay, I was going through some tapes I found and found some old ones of Gargoyles. But you know what else was on it, Exosquad.....anyone else remember that show? I do, but not very much. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here knew any sites for that show, just so I'll have something to do. Thanks.....later.....

Hey guys, I just wanted to try this thing out on you people. Kind of a bad joke I thought of...Well, please be gentle. This is a little story I like to call
RATS WITH WINGS
(aka XANATOS' PASSIVE-AGRESSIVE REVENGE FOR ALL THE TIMES THE GARGOYLE'S BEAT HIS SCHEMES)
David Xanatos hummed a merry tune to himself as he went about his work. He made sure to stop at each gargoyle statue, sprinkling them with the contents of the bag clasped in his left hand. His loyal majordomo approached him.
"Master Xanatos, it's almost time for your 12:00 meeting with the Mayor."
"Yes, Owen, I know. Just finishing up. I'll be there shortly. You know, Gulianni's been bugging me ever since I promised to clean up those old apartments on the south side." He continued his work.
"He only wants to clean up the city, sir."
"Yes I know. But the man can be a pest when he wants something, and--Is there a problem, Owen?" His servant was looking at him strangely, a trace of a frown on his usually impassive face. His eyebrow was raised in a quizical manner.
"Must you do this everyday, sir?"
"Oh come now, Owen. I would imagine that the trickster inside you must love the irony in it. They are, after all, statues. At least till sunset."
"Yes, Master Xanatos, but don't you think that sprinkling the Gargoyles with bread crumbs is rather childish?"
"Don't spoil my fun, Owen."
"Yes, Master Xanatos."
Later that evening....
With a unholy roar, the Manhattan clan awoke, splintering their stone skin into a million tiny fragments.
"Wha--Jalapena, not again!" Lexington muttered, looking at the filth that covered his body. The other gargoyles shared his disgust, as they too were covered in the same muck.
Goliath had been pushed to far. He had a breaking point, and just now, he had passed it. With a roar, he uttered a phrase he had never dared speak before in front of the others, but had thought many times, ever since this horrible plague had befallen them a couple weeks prior.
"GODDAMN PIGEONS!!!!!!"
Somewhere, deep in the castle, David Xanatos was smiling.
So, how did you like it? I'm no Christine Morgan, so be kind.
Oh, and Brian, please, teach me how to swear in Jamiacan. I wanna add it to my list of international cuss words.

Brian: Thanks, man. Glad I've made a difference in one person's life by coming in here, that I know about. If I ever need Jamacian dialogue (unlikely, but maybe), I'll ask you. Of course, the best way you can say thanks for my changing your life like you say I did is to read my fanfic and send feedback...sorry, ego made me write that. In any case, thank you very much. Because of people like you, the torture that this life can be sometimes is lessened. (And yes, Lisa does that for me every day. <gr>)
Loki: Actually it's six days till I do my Shang Tsung impression to celebrate the Rising. And your eventual demise at an angry gargoyle or human's hands. Muhahhaa yourself!

(A thin line of light appears in the comment room and expands a Brian jumps though it . He is armed to the teeth ((Literally with his Cianade capsule)) . He spins around and jumps to the side as bullets fly out of the portal after him . He pulls the pin from a large concussion charge and sets the blast to maximum pain , he then throws the charge through the portal and closes it as the bomb goes off and the screams of the men and women caught in the blast fade as the portal closes . Brian gets up , drops all the hardware , casts a quick spell on it causing it to disintegrate into metallic dust . He then pulls a slightly burned file out of his jacket and addrsses the people on the comment room .)
You know its difficult nowadays to find incentive to enter the comment room , well not really to enter , its more to post , must be an unforseen result of returning to school and being weighed upon by (shudder) responsibilities .
Doug : you changed all that , the next time you write a story and want to include some Jamaican Dialogue , please contact me , I'll give you accurate vocabulary in all death threats and idle banter . I am also well phrased in popular and current swears as well as standard day to day terminology . This is another pet peve of mine , whenever I hear someone on TV speak with that blasted , strained , mockery of Patois I get REEEEAAAALLLLLY pissed . A good example is the accent in Godzilla last week .
Coyote : Really really really really really sorry that Inever wished you happy birthday yesterday . As a makeup gift , here is every secret that your government has , the interesting ones , for me the biggest shocker was what happened to Flight 19 .
Ninth of Two : 6 days until the Rising .(Blast you Todd , this is shere torture you sadistic , frass out , ......... )
(Brian turns to leave and decides to try something new . He gestures with his hand and a large dust storm surrounds him blowing sand all over the room . The storm chases down the CR lawyer and envelops him , a flash of light is seen at its center , the storm dissipates and the Lawyer , as well as Brian , has dissapeared .)

Just a few questions before TGS kicks off next week!
First up, I take it that this here is the place to discuss TGS episodes, right?
And...is there an unofficial guideline about NOT posting TGS spoilers in the main comment room? As in, if we have a comment about the weekly TGS episode, this is the place to put it, right? and if we put a comment in the main room, will we be criticized for spoiling the ending?
I've been gone all summer and I want ot make sure I get the policy right... Thanks!
BTW....LOVE the pics here! and who is that curly blond haired guy in the shaker sweater? (See, I"m not going through all the pics looking.... :-)

A little TGS-based creativity demon that I've had lurking about me for so long that I finally had to share it with the rest of this room.
Richard Harrison is saying to Elisa about his life, "First, I found out that I'd fallen in love with a lavender gargoyle who saved me from falling off a tall building. Then, my brother got mutated by a scheming, machiavellian businessman. Do you have any idea what that's like?" Elisa's response to that one should be very interesting.

Coyote> You liked it that much? Wow. You're welcome for the gifts, and of course you have my permission for the filk. I can provide you with two MID file remixes of the song, but the music is arranged so it doesn't fit too well with my lyrics (or the original lyrics for that matter). I've got to stop underestimating myself. :D
Fire Storm> I think it was Ebon, really; I called him Thailog for the benefit of those who are unfamiliar with "Double Date". As for the condiments thing...
!!!!!!WARNING--WARNING--EXTREME GRAPHIC SICKOLOGICAL STUFF AHEAD--IF YOU COULDN'T HANDLE THE FLUKE GUY EPISODE OF X-FILES THEN STAY THE BLEEP AWAY FROM THIS ONE--WARNING--WARNING!!!!!!
You're gonna love this one, FS. I don't remember all the details, but it went something like this: Imperial Governor Nereus put these little spore egg things into Luke's food; they were so small that he could swallow them without ever noticing. They would hatch in his stomach into little parasite worm things which would incubate for a while, grow to about the size of a human finger (there were only a few of them), then start burrowing up through his chest to his heart, where they would drink his blood and either dig out to lay some more eggs or simply lay them there and let the larvae dig out; I'm not sure which. Got salt? :) Even sicker is how he had to get them out. Remember the aforementioned fluke guy episode of X-Files? Luke used his Jedi powers to lure the parasites away from his heart and out his throat. Eww. I haven't read the novel in years, but one doesn't soon forget reading about things like *that*.
***END SICKOLOGICAL STUFF WARNING--WE NOW RETURN YOU TO THE NORMAL ABNORMALITY OF THE CR--HAVE A NICE DAY***
Take the warnings seriously, everyone...although it can't be as bad as what I've heard about the Starr report. Ay caramba.
Creativity demon: Wouldn't the cat dude from Small Soldiers make a kewl mutate if you made him full humanoid size and put wings on him?
Creativity Spawn: Buick steals the Death Star.
Well, must run. Does anyone here want me to pick up breakfast? They have great egg sandwiches at Burger King. Bye all. [Wilek glides out.]

WHOA!! This is even better than the present I just got a half hour ago (the Lions' first win of the season. 27-6! YEAH!!)!
Ravyn: Thanks a lot.
Sevarius Jr.: No, you don't have to do it for all the clones. I made an arrangement when they were made ... their testosterone levels (with the sole exception of the Macho) are microscopic compared to mine. And yes, I'm legal (I'm 23.).
Wilek: There really shouldn't be any problems with the name. I'm not worried. Thanks for the gifts. I'll make it a point to spray them down with doggoyle repellent. And I think I like the filk enough to make up a page for it and put it up on my site (with your permission, of course!). When I start doing the WCC profiles in November, I'll put up the filk. I like it!

[Suddenly, the lights dim and fog fills the CR. There are spotlights and fireworks, thrilling and entertaining the room dwellers. When the fireworks dissipate, a band can be seen, although no one can make out their identities due to the darkness and smoke. They perform the following filk, "The Army Of The Night", based on Coyote's WCC and sung to the tune of Scar's song "Be Prepared" from The Lion King:]
Great darkness envelops our homeworld
But we will not go quietly
The flag of our army is unfurled
At all costs, we'll regain our liberty
We won't be kept down forever
Our planet we all will defend
The goal of our every endeavor:
Our slavery will soon see its end!
So prepare for the battle of all time
Be prepared for Earth's final war
Soldiers from all races
All times and all places
Will come fight the good fight
And help end this dark night
We will find our way
To the light of the day
And be free beings once more
Our oppressors we warn to be scared
Be Prepared!
[The music stops and the lights return. Miriam speaks.] <<Miriam>> This has been the debut performance of the filk band The Dern Lot Boys; thanks to Mr. Fire Storm for the name. The members: Mr. Brooklyn on lead guitar and vocals, Mr. Thailog on bass guitar and vocals, Mr. Nereus on electronic keyboard and vocals, Ms. Elisa Maza and Ms. Angela on vocals, Mr. Claw on drums, Mr. Fang on saxophone, Mr. Blaise on special effects, and myself on electric violin. <</Miriam>>
[All the Boyz step forward and take a bow. Wilek speaks.] Thank you. Hope y'all liked it; it's kinda dumb in places and I had to take a few creative liberties with how the words fit with the music. <sigh> The concessions an unskilled filkist must make. I almost drove myself out of my horned little skull altering the first half of that song; don't know if I'll ever filk the second half. If you like it, consider it another birthday gift for Coyote. If you don't, then ask Miriam to flashy-thing you so you don't have to remember it; a small kindness from the Boyz. ^_^ It's my first try, so be gentle with any criticism. Thanks. [Wilek wheels a giant cake of his own into the CR and sings Happy Birthday again (he's a WCC character, so he's already done it once). When the cake stops moving, Miriam pops out--dressed in the same conservative business suit that she's always in. She blows a noisemaker and says "Happy birthday, Mr. Coyote" in her usual flat voice, then climbs out of the cake.] Well what do you expect of someone who's been nicknamed "the gender-change Vogel"? (j/k, Miriam.) :) But happy birthday anyhow. WHEEL IT IN BOYZ! (Lexington and Brooklyn drive Wilek's presents to Coyote, a TIE tank and a speeder bike, into the CR, get out, bow to Coyote, and glide off.] Just keep 'em away from Buick. Oh, and I posted something that I think might be important to you last week that you may have missed when the room was wiped. I'll repost it here in a bit.
Ravyn> I'm not eating it after someone's been inside it. Especially if they were only in a Speedo. Ack. But I did enjoy singing Happy Birthday with the hundred-odd other recruits of the Army Of The Night. (Gotta filk "Be Prepared". Hope I'm capable of such things.)
Say, doesn't Miriam remind you all of another personal assistant named Miriam from Batman: The Animated Series? The other Miriam was the assistant to insane ageless actress Baby Dahl. The two Miriams don't look or sound much alike, but don't they have similar jobs and personalities? Hmm. Maybe jobs like this attract people named Miriam who have Owenological personalities. It's one of the Great Mysteries Of The Universe.
Coyote (repost)> I'm not sure if this matters, but I didn't make up my name; I named myself from the Star Wars novel The Truce At Bakura and I think my name might be the property of someone who I don't know who they are. I hope that doesn't make you have to put any annoying disclaimers on the pic or in the stories with me in them or anything (should I put a disclaimer about this in my stories?); I'm not in any way remotely similar to Bakura's Wilek Nereus, BTW. He was an Imperial Governor and a *complete* psychopath; pretty much how Geoffrey Fieger would be if he were ever elected (Oberon forbid). No one here (except maybe FS ^_^) wants to hear how he tried to kill Luke Skywalker (anyone who does will never look at condiments the same way again).
Gotta glide, all. [Wilek glides out.]
