Yay, finally the Timedancers are back! Loved the scene where Sata meets Maryt. I can feel the anger between them. And I really loved Sata's line "If you don't tell me what's going on, I'll chearfully Strangle you!". Hee Hee.
Can't wait for part 2!

****X-FILES SPOILERS!!!*****
Whoa! This episode didn't disappoint! Finally, the Cigarette Smoking man has a name.....we learn the truth about the faceless rebels.....we learn just what the 'Project' is and what happened to Cassandra Spender....and....
Okay, maybe this is just me. But at the end, when Mimi Rogers was revealed to be the person that CSM was talking to....and he said "you've never betrayed me".....and it's obvious he's had a good relationship with her.....I was thinking--is SHE Mulder's sister? The age could fit....she's got the possible looks (same dark hair)....like I said, she's friendly with CSM, who was supposed to be friendly with Samantha....
Maybe I'm just looking into things I shouldn't. Naww....she's probably not. It'd be kinda sick if she was. Wasn't she and Mulder supposed to be, you know, involved? But then again, I thought this episode promised to tell the truth about Mulder's sister....

Now THAT was a good X-Files ep. Granted it didn't reveal anythin I hadn't already figured out more or less, but there's still next week... Nice cliffhanger though... And I gotta admit, I was a little surprised to see who the Cancer Man... Er... Spender was talking to throughout the episode...
Todd- I forgot to say it earlier, but spiffy creativity demon.
Beast Wars- I am frightened over the fate of my current favorite animated series... Despite the fact that they are getting a certain writing team I really really like, there's abundant rumors that season 4 is gonna start from scratch, and have no ties into the first three seasons. No! None of the characters I've come to know and love, none of the plot thats been woven for nearly 50 episodes now... Ain't right...
Spider man making a comeback- Shudder... At least its getting a decent writer...
Animal Farm- Worse than the evil pigs... The stupid animals. They friggin CAUGHT them painting over the rules and still were convinced the pigs were nice...
Tenchi Muyo- Fun series. I need to get them on tape some time.
SJ- Geez, thinking alike again man... We both posted an X-Files reminder at almost the same time...
James/Lord MacBeth- Actually, signing as your alter ego doesn't mean you're hungry, it just means you've succumbed to the insanity of this place already. And you think this party is full of special guests, you should have seen the first one!
**JIM'S PARTY**
As Harrison ford attempts to help slay the Pokemon creatures, another famous celebrity rings the bell, and Jim answers the door. Standing there are two gentlemen, in odd costumes. "Hurry Robin, there is a battle to be fought!" Adam West comments. Burt Ward stares at the man.
"Adam... You DO realize we're not REALLY Batman and Robin don't you? Those are just parts we played in the 60's..."
"Sure thing Chum." Adam West proceeds to join the battle, showing off a rather impressive display of martial arts skill for a common actor, usually cast to play himself.
In the kitchen, the creature living in the fridge crushes a Pokemon, then proceeds to chat with Wierd Al.
Elsewhere, the defeated Power Rangers are crying, and the Voltron force begins to cheer their victory. However Pidge shows interest in the yellow ranger...
And yet somewhere else in the mansion, some of the Pokemon have mutated up another level. "That tears it," Jim comments," I'm calling proffesionals to take care of this."
"But what kind of proffesionals handle this?" an innocent bystander asks.
"Hey, who else am I gonna call?" (Clicky my name for the answer! Or at least, a very apparent clue...)

*****PARTY RP STUFF*****
SJ watches in horror as Pikachu grows humongous fangs and claws. It begins to grow in size....
"You....you ain't so cute no more.....Um....where'd I leave that flamethrower??"
****PAUSE RP STUFF****
Wilek: Gangrels are one of the various Vampire clans found in the rp gaming system, Vampire: The Masquerade. They're generally pretty feral, and are in touch with their "wild side". I believe some of them are supposed to be friendly with lupines, aka werewolves.
In The Masquerade, Vampires come from Caine, the first murderer. God cursed Caine, so that he would never be able to live normally amongst men. The folks at White Wolf took that to mean he was turned into a vampire. He got lonely and created more vampires, and they created vampires, etc., etc.
BTW, Kaioto seems to be a pretty big Mage fan.
Spider-man: Apperently, it looks more and more like this series will be revived (if they can revive this, why can't they restart Gargoyles?). But I heard that one concept they're thinking of using is to have Spider-man in a parallel universe....I don't know, it sounds kinda crappy to me. They're talking about giving Spidey a cape too. Geez, just stick with the basic formula!
World's Finest: Well, it looks like both a Superman and Batman film may be out of the question. But how about a film starring Bats AND Supes, together? That's what Richard Donner's proposing, and hey, it could happen...
Animal Farm: My teacher read this to us in like the 7th grade. I found it disturbing. I mean, I know it's a social commentary, but....those pigs were just evil. Just plain evil. The whole book was very sinister in my opinion.
Tenchi Muyo: Forget that cute little...whatever it is, howzabout the Tenchi babes! Tenchi, surrounded by beautiful anime women....ah, that's the life!
Valentine's Day: I just gotta share this. Here in DC, the local alternative/hard rock station, DC 101, is hosting a contest--there's taking a bunch of lonely gentlemen listeners on a trip to the Capital's best strip-joints. When I heard that that was the prize.....I'm sorry, I just found that too funny.

MANDI - The scene with Cordelia in your ficbit reminds me of a similar scene with the vain Princess in "Spaceballs". (And it's just like Cordelia to go berserk after somebody singes her hair a little, too :)
ABOLISHING ST. VALENTINE'S DAY - I don't think that that idea would go down well with the people who make Valentine's Day cards and Valentine's Day candy. "Oh, great! You want us to wind up in the unemployment line?" :)
Incidentally, according to the "On This Day" section in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, it's the anniversary of Bing Crosby's "Swingin' On a Star", so I give you this creativity demon:
Puck floating along down the street, singing "Would you like to swing on a star/Carry moonbeams home on a jar/ And be better off than you are - " - halts in front of some innocent bystanders and says to them, "Or would you rather be a pig?", followed by a flash of light, and the innocent bystanders saying "Oink oink." Puck presumably goes on his way, saying, "I always liked that spell that Cousin Circe taught me."

POKEMON: Dylan P. Blacquiere's little brother is the biggest Pikachu fan ever...I mean, we are talking Grand High Priest of the Sacred Order of the Pikachy Temple here.
And that is why Dylan has a pic of Wagner about to decapitate the Pikachu hanging on his wall. ;-)
VALENTINE'S DAY: Even though I have Dylan co-opting my cynicism these days, I refuse to buy into that commercialized crap...only I can't say here what I did for fear he'll read it. Last Year's present? A plush lobster and sketches of some of his characters and a homemade card. ;-) Birthday present--An IceStorm Brooklyn painted up to look like his character Whitbourne and dressed in jeans, t-shirt and vest.
There's always a way around commercialism....heh heh heh...

Hello everyone.
Valentine's Day> I hate this holiday almost as much as Christmas. Deuce, I'll join your group, and I need that list. Maybe the Bollandists will prove that St. Valentine never existed. The group already got St. Christopher removed from the Calendar of Saints.
Jewel> Funny, I thought I was the anti-Romantic :) I hav little sense of romance and most girls woudl not date someone who is boring and has the romantic qualities of a Roth IRA.
PDA> I dislike them, too, and I vow never to kiss in public. Valentine's Day makes me so depressed, when others are around being too romantic. It makes me wish was an eunech like my cat.
Ravyn> **hugs** Tahnks for the Welcome.
Iron Wolf> You don't go to a catholic College, do you? With Lent, the real question is, "Ho wlonf can you keep your promises?" I can go about three weeks :)
Kaioto> I'm not into the wild stuff in my city, but it's an OK place to live, and you are known by the High School you went to :) I don't follow what you mean by "profitting from your faith", though.

Ravyn> I'll get the "Single List" to you tomorrow.
TheOneEyedSquid> I PROMISE to send you that cat song next week. I am SO sorry for the delay.
Mandi> I don't think I got your letter. Send again?

Sorry, all. Reader's Digest explanation: Computer program due one week from now. The past 2 wks I had to work on it, couldn't get a single member function to work. Just realized it was all due to a syntax error and just got all five assigned functions to work in an hour! Whoo-hoo!
That may not have made sense to most people, but I'm *so* glad to have that done.
First and foremost> Welcome back, Deuce! Glad the dance went well. (BTW, did you get my e-mail from my Hood address? The server crashed the day I sent it, and some e-mail got through while some didn't.)
As for painting - **gestures down at her Hood Theatre tee and frayed paint jeans** I feel your pain. I have to go put in a few hours in the Great Dressing Room Cleanup(tm) for the theatre group here today. (Hey, maybe I'll find that shoe I lost in there last semester...)
Goldeneye> I love that game, but since I don't have N64 (I go over to a friend's) I'm terrible at it. I did manage to win three times in a row in the 4-person combat...but that was dumb luck since I didn't think I managed to hit anyone.
T.J. Veil> Thanks! And I can deal with this roommate - turned out she was sick that day, and she always goes home on the weekends. Besides, I'm not even eligible to get a single until next semester.
Valentine's Day> Ehhh...I'm not anti-Valentine's, just as long as the really disgustingly happy couples aren't prevalent in my area. The marketing is extremely tacky, true, but I try not to let it depress me.
Doug> Ooh, teasers! Fine, I'm going to give you one of my own, although this scene may change when I'm done:
**SHAMELESS PLUG/SPOILER FOR IN-PROGRESS FANFIC**
Rory sidestepped his attacker's lunge and dealt the vampire a blow in the side with Luin, sending the halfing sprawling. This bunch was bloodthirsty indeed, but fairly inexperienced - they kept forgetting that they had certain abilities. He barely managed to dodge the bolt of green light that leapt from a female halfling's fingers. It streaked past him, missing the brunette in the corner by inches and searing the brick wall instead.
She spun, a look of shock in her eyes as she grabbed at her hair. The bolt had singed a bit of her hair on one side, just fraying the edges. Then the shock turned to rage.
"My hair! She shot my hair!" Cordelia shrieked, advancing on the female vampire. She hefted the broken two-by-four like a baseball bat. "Do you have any idea how much I paid for this HAIRCUT?!?!?"
With that, she attacked the halfling with a vengeance, pummeling the female furiously. The vampire was so surprised that it was all she could do to fend off Cordelia's blows, much less get in some of her own.
Griff, meanwhile, grabbed the one that was choking Xander and threw the halfling to the asphalt. "Is she always like this?"
Xander shrugged, trying to look nonchalant. "She's got her good points."

Welcome back Deuce!
PBS is replacing the Cookie Monster with the Fruit Monster! This is probably the dumbest thing since Fox decided to make another Power Ranger series. He was tied with the Count and Snufleofagis(sp?) for my favorite charicter when I watched Sesime Street. And I thought Public television couldn't get any worse, I guess I was wrong.

Hi, everyone. I know I said I'd be posting more regularly, but the semester is picking up now, and although I am not too academically inclined anymore, I don't want to fail and risk some drastic punishment...
Anyways, I think the only topic I can jump into right now is Valentine's Day. For lack of a better word, it's a cute holiday. Yes, it is sweet and romantic, but I have to agree with Jewel that it is too much so. Go to any store this week and you will find all kinds of tacky, garish gifts to express your affection for someone else somehow. Actually, I think the main problem is the commercialization. It makes the "romantic" mood and atmosphere pervasive; that's why it makes many single people feel lonely when they normally don't. The holiday makes it look terribly abnormal to not be with someone at the moment. This week all the radio stations will be playing all the mushy love songs. My friends will be either getting starry-eyed over their boyfriends or indulging in some self-pity over their lack of one. It's that time of year when when people want boy/girl-friends just for the sake of having one, not because they've found someone they are happy being with. Even I, the notorious cynic among my friends (they call me Daria, although I've never seen the show), am in danger of succumbing to the "gosh-I'm-lonely" funk; of course, it must be my closet romantic side emerging. *smiles and considers beating it back to whence it came* I hope I didn't come off as being annoying or bitter. Good luck to those in relationships. To those who aren't: Don't worry, it's almost over, and I'm pretty sure all of you are young, so you still have time to look around. :-)
Sorry about that Valentine's Day rant/preaching. Forgive me? Well, I'll give in to my urge to eat chocolate and watch "The English Patient" now. J/K *grins* Maybe I should go play Quake 2...

(Note: The next scene works best if listening to the music I have linked to my name. Load the midi, then continue reading!)
Outside, a fierce battle is raging between Voltron and the Power Ranger's zord. A fist hits there, a kick gets in elsewhere... The rangers are at a clear disadvantage, since one of their number is off flirting, they don't have use of one arm.
"We need backup! Call Tommy!" Inside the mansion, the green/white ranger's wrist communicator thing goes off. He rolls his eyes. "They need my help, as usual..."
The green Ranger appears outside, and blows on his flute, summoning the cool looking Dragonzord. Meanwhile, Voltron and the Power Rangers Megazord have pulled out their blazing swords, and are having a nasty swordfight.
"Die you cheezy live action rip-offs of our show!" Voltron yells. At that point, the Dragonzord appears, and prepares to attack. As it nears the battle which has turned into an assortment of fireballs and such, it sends its tail into the Megazord, wounding it.
"We've been double crossed!" yell the hapless rangers.
"Finish him!" the Green/White ranger shouts. Voltron's blazing sword comes down upon them, slicing off their arms and legs, then goes up into the chest, totally decimating the pathetic machine.
"Fatality," Jim comments cooly from the mansion.

Hello everyone. Despite winter break, crappy connections, computer failure, and other troubles, I've finally made it back. It's good to see all the new people around here too.
***EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD***
I must say that I'm impressed with the new episode of Timedancer. This has always been my favorite of the four TGS series. I've been waiting to see this story for a long time. We finally find out what happened in ancient Egypt and possibly the fate of Brooklyn's piece of the Aten. Also, I noticed that it was mentioned that this was Brooklyn's fourth time in Egypt. Since Sata obviously hadn't been there before will we find out about both of his previous trips or will we still be left with unanswered questions. One thing I'm interested in knowing is whether Meryt is still around in the present (TGS/Pendragon). If she is, I can't see her just sitting by while the Unseelie try to take over the world, although leaving Egypt may not be her style either.
As for the Unseelie War, I can't really say that it's been much of a war. All we've seen so far are several minor skirmishes that have been inconclusive at best. Although I can understand Madoc's need to gather his forces, you would think that after eleven thousand years that he would be slightly better prepared. Also, many of the Unseelie seem to lack individuality. Loki seems to be just an evil version of Puck, ditto for Madoc and Oberon, and so on. The few exceptions to this are Garlon and Umbriel.
The other characters are developing well though. We see the Trio each going their seperate ways, the deepening of the relationships between Angela and Broadway and Goliath and Elisa. Also, the Brooklyn/Sata interaction has been some of the best stuff I've seen. So for the recent episodes, although the plot arc isn't advancing much, the characters are being devolped well.
***END EPISODE SPOILERS***
Kyryn -- Congrats on the upcoming wedding. Good luck for the future.
Heather -- I hope you heal well. But at least you have pain killers, they should help.
Mandi -- Roommate problems? It's when I hear about that sort of thing that I'm glad I have a single room. Costs a little extra, but I think it's worth it to avoid the grief.
Also, Night Shift was an excellent story, and I can't wait to see what else is floating around in your mind to happen with these characters.
Coyote the Bando -- G:CM has been excellent so far. The Vinnie story was great, although it was a little hard to follow at times. It's nice to see that everyone's favorite loser has finally made the scene ;-).
Doug -- I'm looking forward to your next story. Cliffhangers can be annoying, but at the same time fun. I just hope that it won't be too long before you get the next story up though.
Well, that's all for today. See ya later.

***RP Stuff***The green-cloaked woodsman barely breathed as his knuckles whitened, his hands clasped to restrain the bent limb of the massive tree. His will fought to keep his heart rate down and block out the feelings of strain in his muscles. ~ Just a little more … just a little more. ~ The barking and growl of the two ~ no, three ~ Wargs and the grutal language of their riders drew closer and closer. ~ A few more seconds … a few more ~ With a ruffle and a snap, the bough whipped back from its bent position.
The sounds of wood on steel, steel on flesh, and wood cracking bone were all evinced to be quickly followed by confused yipping of stead and the startled shouts of two Giaks. The impact left the branch cracked deeply and the Giak's skull in poor repair. The fall of the corpse which was once its partner left the Warg confused for a few brief moments. The rest of the world, however, was moving quite swiftly around it.
The second rider and mount gave a collective grutal call of dismay and had to move off the path and into a ditch to evade a collision. In the time it took them to make a descent, however, the woodsman was pulling his blade from between the ribs of the first Warg and turning to address the charge of the third. The riderless Warg had turned about to attack the source of the sudden pain in its side which had disturbed its confusion, but it found its snarl cut off by choking on its own blood as its lungs finished flooding and dropped to the earth, never to rise again.
Meanwhile, the sword and sword arm which had produced the vital surgical strike where completing the motion of withdrawing from the beast to meet the on-coming charge of the latest rider and beast. Maneuvering deftly, the Warg closed the distance, but it's rider could not adjust his spear in time for the charge. With the pommel of the blade high and collision inevitable, the forester threw himself forward between the great claws of the beast, driving the rounded end of the grip into the lower jaw of the rabid creature. His legs slipped forwards as he kicked out, crushing the monster's jaw shut and dropping below its charge. With deadly swiftness, the blade side now made a pass by the hilt, and as the Warg moved past to turn, it sagged and howled in pain as its soft underbelly betrayed it and its life ended in a sudden disembowelment.
Rolling pack off the path and to his feet, the green-clad forester made ready to address the remaining rider and Warg whom made their way to him all to quickly …

Sorry I've missed you all lately, tough week. I'm writing this with about an hour's sleep over since Friday morning, having returned from Judging the Magic: the Gathering, 'Urza's Legacy' Prerelease tournement ... translation ... Pokemon: It's all so cute I nigh went into sugar shock watching it. I didn't think *anything* could be more saccharine than Chibi-usa...until I saw an ep of "Pokemon."
Valentine's Day: I agree with all y'all out there who absolutely hate it. I had managed to forget all about the stupid holiday until I woke up one morning, went to the bathroom to brush my teeth, and found myself face to face with a mirror that had a giant red cupid on it, surrounded by little pink and red and white hearts. This not the sort of thing one wants to see at 7:45 in the morning, especially in a dorm bathroom. If I hear one more thing about my friends' boyfriends and what they are planning for Valentine's day (three of them, my roommate included in said number, are in brand-spankin' new relationships--just enough in them to be in the uber-PDA phases), or see any more cutesy pink and red hearts with white lace-type patterns on the borders, I am going to be physically ill.
No, I am not bitter and yes, I *am* the great Anti-Romantic.

Hello, everyone. Traveler, you said you were going to post yesterday, but you haven't yet. I wonder where you are. :)
Just got from seeing Mel Gibson's new movie Payback. It was a good flick, if you like lots of action and little plot. (And Kitainia and I do, so we enjoyed it very much. <grin>) Gibson turned in a great preformance, portraying the best tactical genuis I've ever seen in an action film. The movie is worth seeing for tips on surviving a gang war alone. Gibson also said a great line to the girl in the film, one that's going into my quote book. - "I'm glad you're here, baby. Now I know I'm not in hell." That's how I think it went, sorry I don't totally remember the film. But it was good, if you like action. :)
Visiting the WB site, it looks like they're picking up Vengeance Unlimited and Brimstone. Alright, our favorite shows found a new home. Hoo raa!
Slept through Batman Beyond this morning, missed the new ep. If someone could e-mail me a summary, I'd be grateful for that. Thanks in advance to anyone who does.
Ordell: Already read and hated that book. Orwell did so much better with 1984.
Gabriel, Eric: Welcome to the CR. Guard your sanity well, it may be stolen from you. :)
Green Baron: $ Thanks for the Atilla info, hope to see you and him in the RP again real soon. $
Deuce: Glad you're back, and the situation went well. Hope your parents are supportive of your Internet friendships now. Thanks to God for answering my prayers. :)
Pokemon: My opinion on it is the same as SJ's, only I don't even like Pikachu. I think this show must die. Grr.
Fruit Monster: He must also die. Yet another instance of parents coping out on raising their kids and taking over dumbass programming execs' minds. Cookie, you will be mourned. And just so you know, I think you rule more than Fruity will and can kick his butt any day of the week! <grin>
Christine: Glad he liked it. Cute name for the doll, too. I trust our check's in the mail?
Valentine's Day: Oh come on, SJ, it's not all bad. You do get paid back for your romance, and if your girlfriend's anything like mine, you get plenty of it back as well. :)
Fanfic Teaser: Yes, I'm doing it, too. Coming within four weeks- "The Blackout." Sequel to "Captives." In which readers shall see-
1. The Illuminati Ultra-Pack vs. The Manhattan Clan and their friends in mortal combat.
2. Matt Bluestone must decide exactly where his loyalties lie, with his old friends or his new.
3. Jadriel makes his first appearance in true form, and battles my saga's other main dragon character. <insert creepy music>
4. We'll find out where Seth is going, and why.
5. Mass rioting in New York, crime waves, people fearing for their lives, and to save them all, the clan must seek help from a silver dragon, the X-Men, and the Sparks.
6. And yes, we'll also find out what happens with Goliath and Thailog. Bwahahahahaha!
So wait and see, fellow fanfic enthusiasts! I shall get this one out as soon as I can. Yes, I know, I'm evil.
That's all for now, see y'all to-mor-row!
**RP AGAIN**
The truck passes a sign that says "Las Vegas- 150 miles." The screen then switches to Thailog's secret base, where the bad guy leaders are around the planning table. "My troops are ready," Asil is saying. "When shall we take NORAD?" "Very soon," Thailog replies. "First we must await Nipon's arrival, so that his forces may back yours up. And General Zale's man must be beamed onto and destroy the Dark Star." All eyes turn to Zale. "The MG 5000 fleet is ready," the general says. "And Serpent's made record time in accomplishing his mission via VR sims. As soon as the Dark Star gets within our ships' range, we shall send him and the others." "Not the others," Thailog snaps. "Just Serpent. He works better alone." "As you wish, my lord. But what shall I have the rest of the squad do? They are very bored, you know." "I do," says Thailog. "So we shall give them a target. Send them after the Black Ravens." The screen fades out, to be continued.

Races> I've always thought of vampires and werewolves as offshoots of humans, since that's what they start as. Werewolves are transformed humans, and vampires are dead humans that drink blood to survive (although that may not be quite as true in TGS). You know, maybe there are vampire gargoyles...For that matter, aren't the New Olympians human/Fey hybrids?
That Final Fantasy movie's CGI is the most incredible I've ever encountered. I think this movie will ROCK. One thing makes me nervous though...the remark about "computer generated love scenes." That has the potential to completely ruin the movie; I hope it's merely speculation.
Robby> <<If its gonna be that realistic, whats the point in animating it?>> To lower production costs, and to create characters that don't need stunt doubles and who look exactly the way they should instead of having to hire an actor who happens to look similar. The producers have a near-complete control over an animated film that simply doesn't exist in live-action.
Dumlao X> <<who was the resident Castlevania fan in here?>> That was me. ^_^ I have CV64, and it is in fact extremely kewl. Which reminds me: A reviewer once stated that CV64 was quite inferior compared to other games of the series, and even suggested that the upcoming Dreamcast version would be superior (Sega? Oh please). He said all this in a rather insulting manner which I won't inflict upon this comment room by repeating it. I think he's been gutted by Dark Mage Wilek's hunting falcons. Or he's about to be. <horrifiying screams from the basement> Yup, that was him.
Gabriel> Welcome to Nightstone Asylum. If you're here, it means you're insane and won't be allowed to leave. Don't worry, your fellow inmates--us--are rather friendly and don't bite. Well, there was that one time, but that was her idea of a greeting. <g>
Kathy> YOU'RE DRIVING US OUT OF OUR MINDS!!! A TEASER FOR AN EP THAT'S A [censored] MONTH AWAY?!!! YOU ARE THE MOST EVIL BEING EVER TO WALK THE EARTH! <g>
SJ> Well, werewolves turning into vampires doesn't happen on purpose; I think it only happens to werewolves who were made the way they are by dark magic. Um, what are Gangrels?
Fat Tuesday> When is that? Hm, I've never done anything special then. I thought the only ppl who did were those who went to Mardi Gras. Hm. I don't do anything special for Valentine's Day either. In fact, the only holidays I really do much for are Halloween and Christmas, although I buy a lot of candy for Easter.

Fat Tuesday traditions: Oh, all righty then, everybody else has shared one, I may as well.
My last post, I mentioned something about paczis. What they are is basically they're overstuffed jelly or custard donuts, usually filled with vanilla custard or fruit compote (most popular are apple and raspberry ... though I have heard about lemon and prune ones. :P). Anyway, they're Polish in origin (since Detroit has such a huge Polish community, it's probably the only city in the country that calls Fat Tuesday "Paczi Day."), and the idea (from what I gather) is to eat as many as you can *before* midnight. (BTW ... to ease any confusion, the word is pronounced "poonch-key.")
Entity: That *is* quite a way to jump into the fandom. Drag 'im over here, we'd all *love* to meet him, right guys? :)
Robby: Here's a little interesting factoid ... you mentioned rodeo, and it just so happens that MSU is the only Big Ten school that has a rodeo team.
(Speaking of the Big Ten ... Doug and Kitainia: Was reading the sports page this afternoon and saw something in the article about Notre Dame declining membership in the Big Ten about potential other twelfth schools. Would you believe that Texas is a longshot to become a Big Ten school?)
Heather: I already sent a message to ya, but I thought I'd thank you again for the high praise! :)
Wilek: $I kinda figured it was a different Alucard ... it was just a funky coincidence, that's all.$
Ravyn: :) So do I.
Deuce: Give it a chance, dude. The whole *point* of the show is to be silly ... I happen to like it, but then again I have a suceptibility to silliness as some folks in here are aware.
Incidentally ... evidently Pokemon has found a network home: Kids' WB will be showing episodes on the weekends. Too cool! ;)
SJ: You're forgetting Sweetest Day ... or does that count?
Valentine's Day: Hmm ... not exactly the best of holidays when you're lonely ... but you can find ways of making do ... I know I will be.
(Those folks who know me real well know I'm possibly the world's most hopeless romantic.)

BREAK IT UP, YOU TWO! **turns to Ravyn** Now!

BTW, anybody remember that old Ghostbusters episode where the werewolves bit the vamps and the vamps bit the wolves, creating a whole buch of Werevampires and Vampirewolves? THAT was a cool episode!
Batman Beyond: This is a conformation folks: Mr. Freeze WILL show up on the show. How do I know? Well you know how during the credits of one show, they sometimes split screen and show advertisements for other shows on one side? They did a 30 second commercial for Beyond, showing scenes from upcoming episodes, and for a second or two you see Freeze. I was taping the whole thing, and when I slo-mowed it, Freeze was clearly evident. FREEZE! With a cool new costume too. Now, if only Ra's Al Ghul would show up....
Men in Black: Today's episode was written by Greg AND Jon Weisman. Hey, I didn't know Greg had a brother! In the Industry too!

For those who asked: the dance went great! The music sucked, but I had a great many friends there with me, so it didn't matter. No huge romantic successes, but I've learned to live with that. There was one girl I'm somewhat interested in, but I've learned from experience to definitely let her make the first move. :-)
Pokémon> My little brother watches that show constantly. The plots are SO stupid, the human characters are annoying, and I want to strangle every last one of those little SOBs. Except Pikachu; he's adorable. I have a plastic one taped to the inside of my locker door at school. 8-)
Mardi Gras> The year I'm 21, I'm going to New Orleans for the party. Can't wait! As for Lent, I have one thing I'd LOVE to give up: cursing.
SOROW> Welcome back!!!! And on top of avoiding the percent sign, don't use a plus, either. It becomes a space, which is quitw annoying.

Hi there,
I'm around first time but now, after the second season of Timedancer apeared I have to write. I think this was realy one of the best episodes of TD and I like to know what happend if Sata meets Pandora or the one of the Avalonien clan. But, in spite of enjoying reading, there were some holes in the story. At first, as Brook said in the story the last good meal was years ago in New Orleans, but this was the last episode. What happend between? And then we know Kenshu won't have the Aten in 20th century because he had hunt Brook there when Brook was the first time in Cairo, so I think he have to be unsucessful yet. And I don't understand what's with Merryt. She lives now for over 8thousend years. Could it have something to do with her metal-amor? Well, OK I know a lot of questions but I hope some will answered in the second part of the story. But I have to wait still four veeerrryyyy looonnnngggg days. Ciao

Robby: Perhaps, but it'd still be mean to string everyone along like that. :) Honestly, you could end up being one of these evil teaser monarchs, like Spike! ;)

Guess who's coming to the party later? Clicky my name for a clue...
Exin- Really, asci art in a CR? You should have realized it wouldn't work the first time...
Smash Brothers- SOunds like a cool game... Too bad I don't have an S64 (No, not a mispelling... Ihave a tendancy to think of a certain companies products as Shitendo...) But first Zelda and now this... Heck, for Zelda alone I've considered getting the system. (And Starfox64...) Ah well... Back to my now dead Saturn...
ED- I'm not evil, I was just gonna keep the room hopeful...

Howdy, all! :)
Fire Storm> Ack! I really apologize, because I think that in the past I've probably misspelled your name a bunch of times...
Coyote> Get well soon, and I hope that you never see another RL Excedrin headache ever again! :)
Kyryn> Aww...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! It's a beautiful thing to be in love, trust me on that one...:) Hope that everything goes just wonderfully for the two of you! :)
Robby> Wow! I'm really impressed that you knew all the words to Yakko's Countries of the World song. I never got past 'Puerto Rico.' Although I *did* memorize the words to Wakko's States and Capitals song once for a middle school geography U.S. map quiz...:)
Deuce> Hope that you get to hang around here all the time now! :) And I understand how parents can be sometimes; they were the same way when I first got online. And right now I'm trying to convince them to let me go to the Gathering...And I hope that Valentine's Dance of yours went well. Tell me about it, if you can! :)
Tarzan> Hmm...maybe I'll have to check out "Tarzan" when it comes out...a little loincloth isn't always a bad thing...**shakes head to clear away evil thoughts** ;)
Heather> Glad to hear the surgery went okay! :)
**sighs** Have I mentioned before that I really don't like Valentine's Day? **sigh** I better not get into this now...
**RP!**
**The old jukebox has played all two of its songs over and over again, and Ravyn has only had to apologize once for stepping on Coyote's toes with her large talons. Elton John finally sets up on the stage, and immediately breaks into the most beautiful version of "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" ever heard. Most of the guests edge a little closer to the dance floor to listen, and chaos is still ensuing elsewhere around the mansion. But Ravyn and Coyote only start to dance a little closer, oblivious to everything around them as the beautiful music plays on...** **END RP!**

Todd: How bizarre. Thanks for explaining anyway! :)
Nicodemus: Fascinating background! Thanks for stopping by! I actually far prefer the TGS character to Mozenrath, although the original was a very neat villain.
Eric: No new TV episodes, but we’ve got TGS, still! ^_^ Your egg idea, incidentally, would take so long that the idea would be pretty far stale by the time the new gargoyles hatched, I suspect.
Robby: (the multi-part trick) You are *evil*!
Spring French: Your intentions are admirable, but your Maths and English is deplorable.
Advert: My new (fourth) Gargoyles fanfic is up on my page! :)

Well, didn't get a chance to own a copy of the Japanese game called Smash Brothers for my N64 today. The store ran out of copies till Tusday, so I'll go back there and grab it then. For those not in the know, Smash Brothers is a fighting game starring the most well known Nintendo characters to date. You start out with Mario, Donkey Kong, Fox McCloud, Link, Kirby, Samus Aran, Yoshi, and Pikachu. There are 4 hidden characters also. The point of the game really is about kicking the person off the platform since they can all absorb past 0 damage. 4 player fighting action, too, so this really does get frantic. A definite must have and, best of all, no software blocking by Nintendo. Grab yourself a converter & a copy at your local game import store.
BTW, who was the resident Castlevania fan in here? I settled for a copy of the N64 Castlevania and I say go grab it now! It's well worth it.
SCHEDULE-- Ok, from now on it goes like this:
Monday: Gargoyles/Pendragon
Thursday: TimeDancer
WILEK-- I just played through the game (got to level 10 before I died). Remember that hitting start gives you a selection of other cats to use. Aside from the main cat you pick, each one has their own abilities. One swims well in water, one has a copter pack, one burrows through certain grounds, and one breaks stone blocks. Experiment with the controls for each one to find out who does what. It's also apparent through the outfits they wear. Also, don't forget that these cats have different special weapons (up and B) and that tapping twice in a direction causes you to run.
Like I said, hit my name to get to the lists of ROMs and MP3s I have thus far. If you want a request, tell me & I'll try to get it up there for a limited time.
Till next time...

Yeah, yeah, I know it's Friday, but:
**Extremely Random Thoughts on WTBB part 2 (Spoilers if you haven't read it, I guess)**
Awwwww, Richard and Quinn *sigh*..they're just so wonderful together; what more can I say about those two? The writing was great, intelligent, and flowed quite smoothly (as is always the case with Christi's work). Excellent imagery, too. It's always the little details in fanfiction that impress me; for example, the chit chat between Umbriel & the bartender (I think that's who it was), made the scene all the more realistic.
Anyway, back to the story itself : I never thought George would sacrifice Hope's health for his own. Y'know, I didn't really like George as a character at first, but I like him a lot more after the past couple episodes. Hmmm, Umbriel. I don't quite know what to think about this guy. I kinda like him though...it seems all he really wants is to take care of his fellow halflings, and he wants no part in the war. I really enjoy Loki's comic relief among the rest of the Unseelies...*laugh* ...lemur <g>...;o) Lexington actually seemed quite happy with his life was going, though Goliath seemed to want to convince him otherwise. Goliath's confusion over how Brooklyn knew what Sata was thinking before she said anything, made me wonder, how long was he mated to Demona before the spell was cast? He does seem to be a little oblivious to the feelings of others sometimes, but was he not close enough to Demona for the two of them to have the same feelings that Brook and Sata do? Or maybe it's just that, Brook and Sata were meant to be together and, well, Demona and Goliath weren't. Or maybe I'm looking too far into this =o)
To sum up: Great, great, and great!
**end Extremely Random Thoughts on WTBB part 2**
Well, I came on late Wednesday night to read a little from the CR before bedtime, and, boy howdy, Timedancer was up!! Gosh, was I surprised. So of course I had to stay up and read it, and normally I just skim stories the first time around, but not this time...let's just say I coulda used a lot more caffeine than was available to me Thursday morning at work. Anyhoo...
** NEW TD EPISODE SPOILERS AHEAD! **
Wow, not only is it a new ep, it tells us what happened with Brook and Meryt!! I had all but given up on ever hearing the backstory for "For Old Time's Sake". I really like how this was split up between the flashbacks and the 'current' happenings. And I always wondered how Sata would react if she met Meryt <g>. I thought Brooklyn seemed a little insensitive at times. I completely understood when Sata mentioned she would "cheerfully strangle" him if he didn't tell her what was going on. I was thinking the same thing as I was reading, actually.
And, it's funny, at first, I forgot that Meryt meant "beloved", heh, so I kept re-reading that part saying to myself, "wait, he didn't say 'beloved' anywhere!!!" Don't worry, eventually I caught on. And, also, I was very proud of myself when I figured out that when Khensu mentioned his 'enlightened' friends, he was talking about the Illuminati!! (I usually don't catch on to things like that!)
I think I'll go back and read this one a couple more times, at least. Can't wait for next week!!
** END NEW TD EPISODE SPOILERS **
Deuce> Very glad to see you back =o)
Well, I'm beginning to go cross-eyed (the wallpaper on my computer looks like one of those Magic Eye thingies <g>), I guess that means I should probably go to bed. G'night all.

Sanest one here- Probably Dumlao himself. Maybe me.
Deuce- Welcome back! Uh, good luck at the Valentine's dance, which I would guess has already passed by this post...
Curious garg- Sorry, cells are generally out of my budget, though I do have an original Lion King cell...
They're getting rid of Cookie Monster? Say it ain't so... That's just plain WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!
Remakes- Miracle on 34th street remake was bad... Bye bye Birdie remake was bad. That Darn Cat Remake was Bad. Nutty Proffessor remake was bad. Incredible Mr. Limper remake with Jim Carrey will be bad... Remaking Willy Wanka? With Nick Cage? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Betcha that biotches drop the Ooompa Loompas entirely.
FF CGI- That is sickeningly real looking. If its gonna be that realistic, whats the point in animating it?
Airwalker- I didn't forget to count Vampires. They DON'T count. They are altered humans. Once vampires start being BORN they count, but not until. Ditto werewolves, though if they get in I'd have them be a sixth race period, not human offshoots.
**JIM'S PARTY**
"What the? The band left? I hired the Monkees for the whole night!" Jim complains.
"Well, after Demona and Brooklyn got together, Davy kind became depressed. And then his heart just wasn't in the music."
"Ah. Well, the jukebox only has two songs on it, and its already played through them four times! Who can pick up the slack?"
"I can," a voice says calmly from the crowd. Jim turns to see a man wearing the most outlandish glasses he's ever seen.
"I don't believe it.. You..? You'll play?"
Yes." Jim smiles with amazement.
"Ladies and gentlemen! SIR ELTON JOHN!"

Robby - You forgot to count vampires as a seperate race in your list. There not human anymore and they don't really fit into the other categories so maybe they should get their own. So so far we got Gargoyles, Humans, Oberon's Children, New Olympians, Dragons, and Vampires. (Also I would count Werewolves in the same category as vampires. They're not really human anymore and don't fit into any other category either.)
Say, now that Timedancer is up and running, what day will it be shown?
**COMMENTS ON TIMEDANCER EPISODE**
I thought that the Sata/Meyrt confrontation was very well done, and I glad that this was finally addressed. I was curious as hell about how and when Sata would find out about her husband's previous relationship. Now I wonder how she'll react if they ever came across Pandora?

Wilek: "Annoying little things, aren't they." Alucard: "They're far worse than annoying, gargoyle. I've seen my father do this before. He shapeshifts his servant beasts into appealing forms, lets them gain the trust of their eventual victims, and once their guard is down, they assume their true forms and attack. Few have survived one of these Trojan assaults." Wilek briefly wonders if Zath actually witnessed the birth of Kitty. DMW: "Then I'd say we'd better start killing these Pokemon now before they become dangerous..."]

I have to say this here and now: Dumlao, that Samurai Pizza Cats game ROCKED. It's very true to the show and it's just plain kewl besides. Everyone here should get his/her hands/claws/tentacles/whatever on an NES emulator and GET THIS GAME. One problem: There are some square blocks in the first stage that I can't get past. Is there some kind of block-breaking special attack I can do that I'm not aware of?
Kermy> Welcome! Loved your last few movies! ^_^
exin> So THAT's what you've been trying to do! Kewl!
Ironwolf> You know, I've always thought that some werewolves remained sentient and in their right minds after their tranformations. I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes this.
Kyryn> First the weirdnesses with ravens, then with Vogel from CB, and now with Christine and Ironwolf. You, miss, are what we in the weirdness biz call an Infinite Improbability Vortex. If you ever encounter a telekinetic opera-singing goldfish, please contact me or an authorized representative of Miriam's organization immediately for further instructions. (Where *is* Miriam anyhow? $I haven't seen her since the party started. Oh, wait, she's probably having tea with Alfred, Mercy, Mr. Fix, Lennier, Vogel, and all the other quiet, efficient assistants at the party.$)
spring french> Welcome! And don't mind all the gators; they only harm intruders. ^_^ Um...we already have a new season. Of TGS anyhow.
$Coyote> I think we've gotten our lions crossed, or our dhambils anyhow. The Alucard who showed up at the party isn't from Lore, he's from Castlevania: Symphony Of the Night. Click my name for more info. (And something tells me he wouldn't be seen dead in a ball cap. Or undead as it were.)$
Maybe Tarzan is a fantasy/sci-fi hybrid, like Gargoyles. (Eh, I heard that this new Tarzan movie will be animated. Considering his less-than-conservative new wardrobe, I somehow doubt it'll get a G rating. In a Gargs movie, loincloths could be gotten away with, but *really*.)
Entity> I think your friend has recieved an acute Gargs overdose. Which means he'll be perfect for the CR. :)
Deuce> What...? You actually managed to get back here?! Extreme kewlies! Welcome back! And I love that song you quoted. (Of course, I haven't heard the music, I just made some up to sing it with...) Eh, you mean there's someone here who's sane AT ALL?! Where is he? Lemme at him! He won't be sane for long! >:)
Heather> Hi! Glad to see u here after all that hand stuff! :D Glad you're feeling better, or at least will be soon. ^_^
SJ> The Fruit Monster? Will any deities or otherwise highly evolved beings who happen to be listening please, please tell me this is a rumor or some rock-stupid psychopath's sick idea of a joke. If not, then it's final proof that a great many TV execs have succeeded in ramming their heads so far up their rear ends that they've imploded themselves into an intestinal alternate reality. BTW, did you know werewolves become vampires when they die?
**RESUME PARTY RP!**
[Alucard starts off the attack by casting a Soul Steal spell, eliminating a great number of the little pests, but there are hundreds and hundreds, so even that isn't much help. He then proceeds to become a wolf and begins eating the buggers--hey, he's half-vampire, and blood is blood--while Wilek liquefies them with a stolen Quarryhammer and DMW uses pyrokinesis spells.]

***PARTY RP****
Suddenly, a low rumbling begins to shake the house.....everyone grabs something for support. People grab onto doors, doorways, tables, couches, chairs, and Brooklyn accidentally grabs onto Demona (well....maybe not so accidentally, and hey, she doesn't seem to mind....). Abruptly, the cause of the rumbling bursts into the house...
It's a horde of POKEMON! That's right, those sickeningly cute, non-sensical, absolutely-so-freakin'-weird-they-must-be-Japanese-animated creatures storm the mansion, infecting everyone with their adorableness.
"Oh NOOOOOOOOOO!!!" SJ screams. "This is almost as bad as the smurfs! Dark Mage, Wilek, help!" He looks down at his feet, where one of the super-cute little beasts is nuzzling his leg.....
******PAUSE PARTY RP******
I'm sorry if that RP offends anyone. It's just that I find Pokemon strangely disturbing for some reason.....
Final Fantasy: This is for you gaming geeks in here. Apperently, folks are hard at work making a feature-length Final Fantasy MOVIE. All CGI animated. It should come out in a couple of years, but click on my name to go to the website to check it out.
Sesame Street: I just heard something today that left a pit in my stomach and a sour taste in my mouth.....Apparently, Sesame Street is doing away with Cookie Monster. The reason? Programmers are trying to teach kids that "cookies are bad for them." Cookie Monster will get the axe to be replaced with "Fruit Monster." This, my friend is sacrilege. It's more than that: it's the 7th sign of the Apocalypse. CURSE YOU PBS! CURSE YOU! A PAX UPN ALL OF YOU!!!!
*****BEGIN RANT****
Willie Wonka: It appears that in this great big cosmic game we call life, the powers that be aren't done screwing with me.
One of my favorite movies when I was a kid was Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. To this day I can still sing most of the songs verbatim. It is, IMO, a perfect film. PERFECT. That's exactly why the morons in Hollywood are REMAKING it. God, is there an original bone in all of Hollywood? Can they do nothing but remake old films or turn old, crappy tv shows into big budget films? For example: "My Favorite Martian." Has anyone seen the previews for this? This looks like the WORST piece of crap to come outta Disney (it is Disney, right?) in a looooong time. What's coming this summer--"Wild Wild West", a movie of a tv show, and "The Mummy", a remake of a film, for starters. Maybe they'll be good films, but how about an ORIGINAL film, huh? Just remember folks, next time you go see a piece of crap like that Psycho remake, and you shell out your hard earned money, you're sending a message to the dickhead executives that "this is the type of meaningless trash I want to see more of." That's how the jerks think. Films that should NEVER be remade, never be touched, get remade again and again while good, refresing projects--like GARGOYLES: THE MOVIE--will never see the light of day.
To make matters worse, and in a bit of casting I'm sure they must have been on crack to make, I've heard that Nic Cage is up for the part of the Wonka.
***END RANT***
Werewolves: Being a friend to the Vamire community, I can't stand the beasts. So violent, so angry, and their smell! I hope the Wyrm destroys you all. We've never liked you, and I think the feeling's mutual. ;-P
The Races: **SJ steps up to a conveniently nearby podium**
I, SJ, as elected spokesman of the International League of Clones, hearby request, on behalf of my clone brothers and sisters, recognition of clones as the official 6th race (after humans, gargs, fey, Olympians, and dragons). Just remember: Clones are people too.
Mardi Gras: Just 3 words can some up Mardi Gras--Breasts, breasts, and....oh yeah, breasts.

Hello everyone.
Mardi Gras> Yes, its Fat Tuesday, and a perfect sign of French Catholicism. Some of you may be familiar with Louisiana, especially southern Louisiana bayous, Cajun Couintry. The Cajuns are nice, firendly, and laid back (unlike the Parisians who are rude, secular and only shower once a month). Many are also good Catholics, but their Ctaholicism is not strict like the Irish or Spanish variety. They basically formed Mardi Gras as the last blow out wild nigt of parties, before forty days of scarifice and seriousness. Actually, the fact taht you can't party again for forty days really makes it worthwhile if you like to party :)
As for myself, I am not much of a partier and I don't drink, so it serves little use for me, and I have not been to Mardi Gras in three years. For the most part my mother used this day to force to have fun and lighten up, so it is not one I really enjoy. I might have done soemthing with Jessica, but she dumped so that's that. In fact, I was preparing something for Valentine's Day, but once she dumped me, I was off the hook and I saved a lot of money :)
Oddly enough, I like Lent, and it is amusing how hungover the city is on Ash Wednesday. Also Lent is good for losing the weight you put on from Thanksgiving until Mardi Gras , and then getting it back next November :)
Kathy> I am impressed by your researh. I recommend you visit the city of fun, debauchery, and corruption. I thought your fic was set in the 1890s myself.
Doug> I got your RP update. Attila and I should join in in the next few days. Attila has ties to the NRA and he has an mini-assault rifle autographed by Charleton Heston. Attila is not the best shot, but he is downright dangerous with his cat-of-nine tails. He can really sting me with that thing.
Deuce> I'm glad to hear your still with us. Hindu tatoo? You can always put on a turban and work at a quickiemart. Yes! Yes! Yes! :)
Kyrvyn> Civil war wedding. Nice. I just want mine to be a Latin Mass :) I'm surprised he'd pick Union down in Texas, though :)These pictures I must see. Actually, my great-great grandfather, Thoams Muldrup Logan, was a 24 year old General in the Civil War, but for the other side.
Now, my Fraternity is pledging new potentials, so I must depart.

If you're not interested in garg cels, don't read further. For a week I haven't gotten mail and I just discovered today that my email was blocked in aol preferences. Duh! Well, I've fixed that little problem, but now I have to repost my questions about cels again so this time, people who are interested can actually email. Here is the repost:
i'm just wondering, how many of u out there have cels from gargoyles? how many of you would be interested in one? i have access to a couple of cels i was thinking of buying if i thought i could resell them. i don't frequent this place, so if
you are at all interested in the thought of spending $50 - $200 (yes, it could be that much) for a cel from the show (not from the last season), email me at pegasia@aol.com. i might not see your response if you post it here. note: this is not a literal offer to sell. i am not currently selling anything. i'm just probing for possible interest.

Howdy all,
Finally back after indulging RL for the past week. Now I can enjoy the accolades for Timedancer.
Sun & the Serpent> Thank you, thank you for the compliments. thought I'd answer a few details.
As far as the timelines concerned, Brooklyn really doesn't have a calender to mark off how long he's been travelling, but when I was writing it, I placed Brooklyn's time in Egypt around his fourth year of Timedancing, after Flight into the Forest and considerably before he met Sata.
Ari> You want to talk about coincedences. I got the impression more than once that an unseen hand was pushing me to write this story. Every day of my research, I came across a program on the History Channel or Discover or the Learning Channel. Once there was any entire week devoted to the Ancient Egyptians. I go to the bookstore and there is a whole display on ancient Egypt the centerpiece the National Geographic on a newly discovered tomb. And then to top it all off there was the Prince of Egypt. If I wasn't a dragon, I'd find it thoroughly creepy. But I suspect Thoth had a hand in this. That or Fate in one of her more generous moods.
But I'll leave with this tidbit. In Egyptian mythology and symbolism, the Aten is the sun, guess what's the serpent?

** Drum roll. Lights flash. Incredibly cool stuff happens. The earth opens up, and several incredibly evil young women fall in, screaming. A bus marked "#63 Southwood" explodes. (E-mail me for explanations of these good omens). Deuce has returned! **
I cannot believe my luck. I'm off the hook! Through a series of events I'd rather not explain, this whole stinky mess has been unravelled, my stomach is settled, and I may return to posting regularly (or as regularly as I've ever posted). I would like to thank every last person who e-mailed me over the past few days; I don't know what I would have done with your support and friendship. *applause*
I'll reply, but first I want to tell everyone what happened to me last night. My mom took me over to my friend's house, where she met up with his mom and a friend of theirs from California. They had a little party, and my friend and I disappeared downstairs to listen loudly to music. We came up for something (I forget exactly what) and my mom's friend offered me and Matt some of "Mike's Hard Lemonade". Of course, since I'm not allowed to drink, I expected my mom to say no, which she did. She said, quote: "No! Not on a school night!" *laughs* Well, we talked her into it, and the stuff tastes great! I also realized that the same metabolism that prevents me from gaining weight in any way but extreme physical exercise gives me the alcohol tolerance of an elephant. 473 mL of 6.9
lcohol to a guy my size (135 lbs) should leave you piss-drunk. I get more of a kick from an equal amount of Pepsi.
I also got one of those funky henna tattoos on the back of my hand, too. I found out today it's some Hindu religious symbol. *cringe* Oops!
Coldstone> "Punkin"? I've gotta read this.
Coyote> $ ["With a small amount of manipulation...."] My idea of manipulating pesky jukeboxes is a swift kick. Usually works, too. :-) $
Jackal> You are not, by far, the most sane one here. I don't know who it is, but it ain't you. Sorry to hurt your illusion.. :-)
Well, I guess I didn't have that much to catch up on. I'll be back tomorrow, I promise. Oh yeah, and I get to go to my school's Valentine dance tonight! Wish me luck! ;-)

Kermit the Frog- Welcome! I've always wanted to know one of the muppets! That song's "The Rainbow Connection", right?
Ironwolf- There IS a fourth race already. The New Olympians. And a fifth as well. Dragons. And I plan to push for a werewolf or two, but we've already seen one in the series ala Fox, so don't count on it.
Mardi Gras- Oh geez... Is that coming? It gets bad down here... But even worse, its RODEO season!
Eric- Hi!
Stephen- While Tarzan is not Sci-FI by the usual definition, ORIGINALLY it was. Go figure.
James- Um... What was that RP about?
Entity- Your friend's run seems very similar to my first weekend online, but at the time, I was already a garg fan from the series, and since your friend had a job and school... But then, I did the same reading in a weekend... Your friend is at least tied with my record...

Tarzan> I don't see it as science fiction, but I can see how it could be thought of that way. Tarzan is, disregarding all the layers of romanticized cultural flab, the theoretical story of what would happen if a human baby were to be left alone in a jungle and be raised by its inhabitants. It's an idea repeated in other stories, like "The Jungle Book", and lots of other stuff... even "Lord of the Flies" could kind of be compared to it. But at the root, it does have an iota of science fiction. Well, more like 'philosophy fiction'.
BTW, I have a friend who has become an overnight Gargoyles addict. Within a week's time, on top of school and his job, he's just a couple stories shy of finishing TGS' entire first season (main cycle), has read a dozen of Christine's 'fics, and been rumaging through fan art and other assorted, fandom-related items of online interest. Just thought I'd bring it up. Does this break any kind of a record?

GASPARILLA> To learn more about it, clickie my name to learn about this celebration! (Christine Morgan would no doubt love to hear about it, if her story "The Scotish Rogue" is any indicator) ^_^
BANDO'S COMMENT ON TARZAN> Sorry to tell you this, Don, but Tarzan is considered a "Fantasy" story, NOT Sci-Fi. The General definition of a Sci-Fi Story is that the content can be explained by science and technological terms.
Also, from the look of the scenes, and stills that I've sceen, I doubt this one's going to be filled with drek... well, at least the soundtrack is going to be good, since Phill Collins is doing it! :)

MARDI GRAS> Speaking of Mardi, that just reminded me of a similar celebration that I'll be missing back in Tampa, Flordia:
Every February, the City of Tampa Bay celebrates a long standing event called "Gasparilla". It's to signify the landing of a Spanish captain named Jose Gaspar, who steered his ship into Tampa Bay (for what reason I don't remember offhand) to a place that is just off of a small island called Davis Island. Usually within the first 2 weeks or so, a massive day parade - in which various "Krewes" sponsor floats and groups - filled with people in pirate costumes, throw beads, coins, and other such trinkets to the crowds that line a stretch of bayfront streets along Bayshore Blvd. (which is incidentialy in the Guiness Book as having the Longest Contiuous Sidewalk in the World). Balls and other parades (including a night parade down through Tampa's historic Ybor City District) also mark this month long celebration.
It's the closest thing to Mardi that you can get living In Florida.
Just thought I'd share. Maintain and Check Six!

***Spoilers***
TimeDancer! TimeDancer! TimeDancer! At long last my life is complete. Well not quite complete, I need Dark Ages and a cheese sandwich.
A great episode. Though I did find the flash back a wee bit confuseing untill I realised it was a flash back. I thought Brooklyn and Sata had just Timedanced further into the past a first. Some text saying something along the lines of "Flash Back" might have helped.
I really found the sceane with Brooklyn's old friend (forget his name) interesting. I can't wait to learn more about him. Who his master is? Why he's serving him?
One question, Myret said Brooklyn spent three years in Ciaro, since I don't think he spent much time there in FOTS I"ll asume that was during the flashback. Anyway, how long has Brookly been timedancing at this point, at what point Sata meet, and at what point did they get married.

**The screen lights up to reveal ... Coyote and Ravyn, re-entering the party. Coyote stops on his way in to place a baseball cap on Alucard's head (I'll explain this in a bit) as they re-enter the main ballroom of the mansion.**
Dang ... looks like Demona's gone.
<"So's Brooklyn ... uh oh ...">
**shrugs** Oh well. **looks up at stage** Looks like the band left, too. No music, dang.
<"I wouldn't say that.">
**Ravyn steps over to the jukebox in the corner. With a small amount of manipulation, she manages to get it playing.**
<"You still owe me a dance, remember?">
**PAUSE RP!!**
Wilek: $Okay, here's the explanation ... while I was in college, I met a woman who produced a self-published comic book called "Lore." Has a website, too, but I can't remember it off the top of my head ... but anyway, it was set in Detroit, and one of her characters was a vampire hunter named Alucard, who was dressed in black jeans, a black t-shirt, black gloves and a home Detroit Tigers ballcap, and usually brandishing a katana. That's why I put a hat on him as I came in the door.$
Fire Storm: **beats self over head** Are you two trying to make me feel even *more* lonely?! ;)
But seriously, I don't think I've ever messed up your name, or at least tried to. As for your mystery illness, it would depend on the duration of the symptoms ... if it was longer than a couple of days, I would safely call it stomach flu, but any shorter and I would be inclined to think food poisoning.
Tarzan preview: Looks promising ... but then again, they may only be showing us the best scenes, and the rest of it could be typical Disney dreck, for all we know.
Incidentally ... if I'm not mistaken, Tarzan marks the *very* first science-fiction concept Disney has made into an animated feature. (Yes, Tarzan is technically considered science fiction, as Edgar Rice Burroughs' stories involving the King of the Jungle appeared mostly in sci-fi literary magazines)
Mandi: Sympathy vibes received. :)
GB: Have fun on Mardi Gras, dude ... **note to self: remember to pick up paczis for CR on Fat Tuesday ...**
Doug: Now I thought that movie was the coolest Western ever made! :)
Zath: The shirt you *should* have made should say "Left-handed people are the only ones in their right minds!" ;)
Seriously, dude ... that whole bit with the earrings is just too screwed up for me, that's why I never got one (not to mention my low tolerance for earlobe pain). Incidentally, I wear my watch on the left hand because I am right-handed ... although I also had my high school class ring fitted for the left hand as well (so I wouldn't damage it writing, drawing, etc.), prompting people to ask me who I had married. :P
Kyryn: Now you absolutely *have* to post pics of that wedding! (I promised my mom I would show her Okami's uniform ... she's a Naval buff (though 20 years in the Navy would probably do that to ya) and especially into the uniforms ... she'll probably be checking it for accuracy. ;)
Daria: Now comes a very interesting quarterfinal round ... Underdog vs. Daria. I still say it was a 'bot, considering there were over 50,000 votes in that contest, and in the first round the two shows (Daria and PatB) *combined* barely broke 5000.
But don't get me wrong ... I voted for Daria, too.
Eric: OH MY GOD! IT'S YET *ANOTHER* MICHIGANDER!!
**composes self**
Sorry. Incidentally, I would follow Kyryn's advice, if I were you. That's how I got myself into the swing of things here.
Incidenally ... Fraser? I have an uncle who lives there!
Wilek again: Yep, we're all ZICK, ZICK, ZICK!!!
**composes self again**
Okay, that felt strange. Anyway, I think I'm getting over it, slowly but surely. The heavy-duty antihistamines I told Jackal about earlier are helping, I think. :)
Jackal: Not you too! AAAAAIIIIIGHHH!!! ;)
exin: Hmm ... you are too strange for my blood, my friend.
**RESUME RP!!**
**The music continues, as Coyote and Ravyn continue dancing, even through all of the ensuing chaos.**
**Jason walks into the room, accidentally bumping into the newest surprise guest and knocking off his disguise to reveal his true identity as Chicken Boo. A collective gasp goes up.**
<"Buk-buk-bGAWWWK!" "I told ya he was a chicken!!">
**Various guests begin chasing the poor chicken around Jim's mansion. Meanwhile, the Power Rangers have their hands full outside fighting their Zords against Voltron. Suddenly, a loud report is heard, as the Gearhead, in sole command of the tank and still out of ammo, fires a party keg into the assembled Mega-Zord's head.**
**More chaos ensues. The football game continues. The merry chase goes round and round the house. And all Coyote and Ravyn want to do is dance, as the screen winks off.**

FOTS = For Old Time Sake, a Timedancer episode from the first season. It ties into events in Sun and Serpent.
Mardi Gras, ahem *stands up straight and recites.* (click my name for even more info)
"The word Mardi Gras is french and means Fat Tuesday. However, these two words have come to symbolize an entire week that climaxes on the Tuesday before Lent (which always occurs on a Wednesday). The celebrating actually begins January 6th - 12 days after Christmas, and continues to
build until the final week when basically, all hell breaks loose.
Contrary to what people might think, Mardi Gras actually takes its traditions from the Christian Religion. Mardi Gras is a floating holiday because the date is determined based on when Lent and Easter (etc.) are scheduled. Therefore, the celebration can occur anytime within the months of February or early March.
The first documented parade occured in 1837 and consisted mainly of costumed revelers who threw candies, cakes and fruit to the people on the street. These "throws" or "doubloons" as they are now called have continued to be an intrical part of the parades despite early problems of excessive rowdiness and violence. The first Krewe (of Comus) was established in 1857 and essentially saved the traditional celebration by giving more order to the parading celebration.
At this point, there are over 50 parades and balls in New Orleans. The balls are usually held at the end of the krewe's parade. Therefore, the krewe travels down their established path until they end up at their final destination - the place where their ball will occur. For most krewes, that place is the Municipal Auditorium."
As an aside, Brooklyn and Sata experience 1920's Mardi Gras in Gros Bon Ange.

Kyryn: Congrats and may you have many years of happiness. Sounds like the ceremony will be a blast too.
Mardi Gras: I dunno, I've got friends down there and up until a few years ago, they typically asked to come up and visit on the weekends during MArdi Gras. Something for the pundits of the room: Why is Mardi Gras so early this year?
A question: What does FOTS mean? I keep seeing it in reference to Timedancer. Can anyone help a newbie out.

The episodes we are talking about are part of TGS, a purely voluntary labor of love to continue the series online in written form, unsanctioned by Disney or Buena Vista.

All right we got vamps how about Werewolves. A forth race to protect the earth. The fay come form a something or somewhere removed form normal space (it is sideways to our space and time; look at the time diffreces). So something more like the Whitewolf’s version would be cool. An intelligent powerfull but decimated race that shapeshift between human and animal and can tap into the ley lines would be too cool. The Fay and the Dragons fought a war why not another race who tried to save the earth during it? Ok end of plug for a truly noble speices.
Green Baron> too sweet you live in new orleans! Man you must have a blast every Madi Gras!! Though I guess normal living would be tuff during this time, but why live normal:).

OK everyone, I got a list of my MP3s and ROMs up. Go to my name to get there. Also, if you want, bookmark it since I try to update the list every chance I get (maybe once a day, who knows).
Also, for those interested, the ROM for the NES version of Samurai Pizza Cats is there for download. I guess that's how I should run things. Request the ROM or MP3 I have or don't have. I'll find it then put it up for one week before deleting it. My name's addy is where the file would be.
Till next time...

"Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows?
And whats on the other side?
Rainbows are visions,
They're only illusions...
And rainbows have nothing to hide...
So we've been told...
And some choose to believe it
But I know they're wrong... Wait and see...
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection...
The lovers, the dreamers, and me..."

There's something weird goin on everywhere, I've finally made the decsion that I'm the only sane one left! You can't take me with out a fight!! Ohh yall guess freakin what?!! Man, this was the high light of night..., week, year, decade, whatever!! Of course what I'm about to say is not apprioate, so I'll address some things first...
Haven't had the chance to read the new TD, I don't think I can sleep after what just happened to me, so I'll think I'll read it after I post....
<<I scared the crap outta my girlfriend when I immediately jumped off the couch and shouted, "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!" Well, she didn't get the joke...>>
Hehehe, this is something only my mind would see- Wouldn't it have freaked you out if she said in a very dark kinda way, "That is true." And revealed a hidden dagger?!!!? Ahh well, it was funny to me.
°°°°°JackaL talks about the ULTIMATE experience!!!! (possibly offensive){It's a post by me, of course it is..}°°°
I'm not gonna say everything that happened because I'm going to be toning it down, ok. Oh God, I don't think I can even post this...., no warnings are enuf.... don't read this, just ignore it, I'm letting it out because I wanna think that someone has read it, but don't really read it, ok?!!?? Skip from here on... A really close friend of mine, she returned a favor for me...., And it RULED!!!! Nevermind, that's all I'm gonna say. I think I'll spear yall this time. Oh God!! I wanna tell everyone!! Hehehee, I think my obession with her just got worse!!! Well, not bad, not like- "I love you so much I want you dead" kinda thing more of "you're soo perfect can I worship you". Anyway..., I'll go now.
°°°°°End of something that wasn't too offensive, but kinda though, depending on how picky you wanna be.°°°

Dragonball- ANyone who wants to know more about this or talk to me at length that can't be gone into here. contact me...
Doug- The basic plot to the show is badguy beats up all the heroes, Goku arrives, and Badguy beats up on him for an hour. Then Goku powers up and beats the badguy with a fist through the chest. You don't watch Dragonball for the plot, but for the multi-hour fight sequences...
My anime sources- Mainly my cousin Bryan, who's dad is military, and as such, Bryan has friends from all over the world... And his sources are my sources... Plus, there's always fandubs if you hunt for them...
Timedancer- Gee, you people are sure enjoying the dull part of the story...
Timedancer time passed- Yes, a few stories passed between Gros Bon Ange and Sun and the Serpent. Basically, the original season premiere had to be held back due to technical difficulties, and it'll now be episode five, and take place between that spot...
Brooklyn and Meryt's closeness- Use your imaginations on how close they got, my interpretation is that Brooklyn married Sata after only a year. He was around Meryt for a lot longer.
Kitainia- I haven't missed Heather's posts too much, as I've been keeping daily IM contact with her. But great RP bit and Kenny development...
Anonymous- Love that song... Of course, now "Somewhere out there" will be stuck in my head all night...
Pinky and the Brain vs Daria- ARRRG! I can't vote this week, my loyalties are too divided among them... I love both shows...
Dumlao- No hard feelings, just would have been fun to make the room think S&tS was just a 2 parter, and then just a three parter to surprise them as each ep. came out and revealed the story to have more...
All the sick people- Get better!
**JIM'S PARTY**
An univited guest walks in, but Jim is excited.
"Wow, I can't believe HE'S here! He is the coolest guy ever! I heard that once he attended a party, and it froze over!"

"I heard he was a giant chicken..."

Well, I think I passed my midterm. WAHOO! Now I can reward myself tomorrow :)
DOUG-- Man, that's just package one. Still gotta finish packing box #2 and until she recieves it, I won't post what's in it just yet :)
WILEK-- If I could run a ROM or MP3 site w/o getting in trouble with the law I would :) As for Smash Brothers, it was released in Japan but I know an import store here in California that sells it for $69. I played it on their monitors and it's sweet! Definitly a must buy if you can get it in import or wait till it hits the US.

Mandi> Roomates can be a pain sometimes, can't they. If someone assigned me a roommate of any variety, other than Miriam of course, I'd probably throw them into a large blender. I just don't live with most other ppl very well.
Speaking of blenders, I just thought I'd mention a sign I have on my door. It has a picture of a blender, full of water, plugged into the wall but not running, with a fish in it. The caption: "You think you have stress in YOUR life?!" ^_^
GB> <<It seems my cat just tends to disturb you.>> I kinda noticed. Fairly odd, since I rather like cats.
Dumlao X> <<I'll upload that and a list of the MP3s and ROMs I have soon.>> Kewl, thanks! <<Smash Brothers on N64 anyone?>> Kewl, when did that come out? You know, maybe you should run a ROM site as a side business, or perhaps if (Oberon forbid) you ever retire from TGS.
Doug> <<[Theresa]'s just vanished from the CR all of a sudden>> I noticed that! Where's she gotten off to? <<It's a brutal weapon for a priest.>> Maybe Attilla's a warrior priest; I've heard of them.
Which reminds me...For some reason, the image of a garg wearing a clerical collar has been running around my head all night.
Robby> Wherever do you get the Japanese versions of all these animes? You seem to have access to a LOT of different animation resources. That is so kewl.
Daria is beating Pinky And the Brain?!! AAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKK!

Fox Television: Just got done watching "World's Most Shocking Moments Caught on Tape 2" on Fox a little while ago. They showed a guy in Australia, standing in a city street brandishing a ancient sword, with about a dozen cops around him. He claimed to be "an immortal hero," and dared the cops to shoot him.
I scared the crap outta my girlfriend when I immediately jumped off the couch and shouted, "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!!!"
Well, she didn't get the joke, but I was dying.
Brimstone fans: Hey, the show might not die after all. While production has been "suspended" (that's essentially the death verdict....maybe), Fox has said that if viewership is high during the remaining episodes, it may reconsider. So, Friday nights, you'd better have that TV tuned to Fox!

Hi all. Thanks for the welcome.
While I was trying to catch up on the CR, I heard a version of 'Behind Blue Eyes' sung by Roger Doltery ,with The Chieftons playing back-up. I normally associate this song with Londo Mollery (sp?), however this time it reminded me of Demona.

Coyote > Daria is cool. It's real, unlike some other shows. I say shows because most of the other series they have pitted against each other are cartoons (ie Pinky and the Brain, some others) while others are "animated series" (ie Gargoyles, Daria).

Hi again.
Cuchulainn> I've been reading some more in that Celtic folklore book I recently got a hold of, and from what I've been reading, Arthur may want to be a little careful around Rory. It turns out that one of Cuchulainn's more conspicuous traits was a beserker rage which, while useful in battle, could be rather destructive if let out around friends. So all Maeve would have to do to take Arthur and Co. down a few pegs would be to get Rory _really_ mad while he was around.
Sun and Serpent> I'd like to answer a couple of questions posed earlier in the comment room on this. While I'm no longer on the production team of TGS or Timedancer, I did come up with the original ideas behind the primary characters.
One of the questions was why Meryt couldn't fly on her own now. Well, she's a statue made of gold now; she simply can't fly because she's too heavy (though I imagine magic could remedy that). The reason I thought that idea up was originally as a plot device for FOTS, but it does have a basis in Egyptian customs. One part of the Egyptian soul, called the 'ka', could actually possess and animate a stone statue of the deceased if placed in the tomb. So I simply decided to make Meryt's soul somehow be possess a gold statue made for her (gold, so that she couldn't rust or anything, and so it would be relatively easy to repair) and went with that. (I make no guarantee that that idea is still being followed by TGS, though.)
As far as the wizard: yes, there should be a resemblance to the 'Aladdin' character Mozenrath; I was using that character as a temple for the wizard in the original conception of FOTS and Sun and Serpent. (Again, I've been away from TGS for almost a year, and have have basically no involvement with the story since then, so don't count on me as a final word on anything.)

Argent- DBZ in about 90-95 _PERCENT_ true to the original japanese, which is incredibly good for a translation... Mostly its just the more adult humor that gets cut, as well as anything involving death...
Later tonight, comments about the new TD episode, and the various usual stuff... Until then, chew on this quote that won't ever make it to American shores...
"You've chosen a great monster to fight."
"You call me a monster. You're wrong. I'm the devil."

**RP STARTS HERE**
Kitainia and her team are in Las Vegas, outside the Bakkur and Hotsettler Building. "Kenny's inside the building now," Kitainia is saying into a cell phone. "He's presenting our case to their lawyers. We'll go to the hotel after he's done." "Good," Doug says from the other side. "Can you put Boris on?" Kitainia hands the Russian the phone, and Boris listens for several minutes. Then a frown comes on his face and tears stream down his cheeks. "That dirty Bukie-rev," he spits. "I never should have trusted him." "Well, he's dead now," Doug says. "Shap ran over him after his hoverchair ran out of gas. Boris, you can trust us, we're your friends. I think you know that by now, right?" "Yeah, Doug, I knew it a long time ago," Boris replies. "Listen, thanks. Thanks for going after them and making Bucharev pay for his crimes. I'm sticking with you guys on this, right up to the end. For my family and all the other people they've killed, and everyone they will hurt and kill if we don't stop them. I owe my sister and her family that." "And we'll stay with you, man," Doug says. "Glad you're not too sad about this." "I'm not sad, I'm angry. I want to kick some serious ass." "You'll get your chance. Put Kitainia back on, okay?" Boris nods, hands Kitainia the phone, and leans back to cry further. Elena moves to comfort him. "Alright, Doug," Kitainia says as she listens to her beau give a full report of the events in Colorado Springs. "Good job. What are you going to do now?" "You guys did a good job, too. Thanks for getting the ML out of our hair." "No sweat. You didn't answer my question." "I think after we're rested and healed up, we'll come join you in Vegas." "I'd like that." "You're not the only one, LST." Kitainia grins, they exchange a few more love endearments and then she says goodbye and turns to face the CR.
**PAUSE RP**
No Name: Good luck. Like our e-mail said, Doug and I are praying for you. Hope you can soon come back.
DragonBallz: I used to watch this. Good show. I liked City Hunter the best, he was cute. And had some of the coolest lines.
Watchmen: Haven't read this comic myself. Maybe I should ask about it at Dragon's Lair. It sounds very interesting.
Atilla: <returns the noozle> Hello to you, too. <pets Atilla and gives him a choclate and catnip covered rat> Enjoy. :)
Heather: Glad your surgery went well. I've been under the knife a few times myself, and heard about many others who have been from my dad, so I know the possible dangers of operations. Hope you'll be posting here fulltime again soon. All of us, especially Robby, have missed you.
Kyryn: Congrats on your engagement. Hope you and Okami have a long, wonderful, and happy life together. Good luck.
Too bad so many of us are sick, I hope we all get better soon. (Doug's sick, too, he's got a cough.)
**BEGIN EPISODE COMMENTS**
I liked the new Timedancer episode, hope to see more next week. Khensu is a very interesting character, I wish we could find out more about him before next week. I also liked what was done in this ep with Brooklyn, Isfet, Meryt, and Sata. Nice interaction between the last two, they reacted just as I thought they would to meeting one another. And I liked Brooklyn's 'magic,' I hope it continues to help him in episodes to come. Good pic, too. All in all, a nice episode, if not an earthshakingly good one like some that have been done this season. Keep up the good work, can't wait for part 2.
**SPOILERS END NOW**
Zath: Ah, so I'm not the only left-handed one in here. Good. And as for why you can't get a date, I don't know. I don't think putting a watch on your right hand means you're gay, I've never heard of that. (And I'm familiar with things that make people think you're gay, thanks to a friend in UT's Lesbian/Gay/Bi Students Association.) Maybe you just have yet to find the right woman, I wish you luck in finding her soon. She's got to be out there, don't give up. <grin>
Traveler: Another really long post? The Complaint Guy must not like you very much. :) Can't wait for it myself, hope you post it early tomorrow.
Fire Storm: Doug sends his apologies for getting your name wrong (he forgot the space). Please don't get too mad. And send Lady Mystic our best.
That's all for now, gotta go. Later!
**WARNING- LONG RP AHEAD, CONTAINING A LAWYER DEATH. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK**
Kitainia looks at her watch. "Where is that guy? What's taking him so long?"
Meanwhile, inside the B&H building, Kenny is summoned by a secretary from the senior partner's waiting room. "Mr. Bakkur will see you now," she says. Kenny nods and heads into the lawyers' office. An old whitehaired man who looks like an evil version from Leland from LA Law is there waiting for him (he's Ted Bakkur, the firm's senior partner). So are a big bald guy in a gray suit with a sly expression (Dick Hotsettler, the managing partner), and twenty other lawyers. Kenny nods at them. "Hi, I'm Kenny," he introduces himself, passing out briefs. "I represent the Black Ravens and Traveler, who I believe your client is suing for mass property damages and wrongful deaths." Bakkur nods. "I've heard of you, Kenny. You know, you're not a very good lawyer. We're going to bury you in court." Kenny doesn't blink an eye and shoots back, "I intend to settle out of court, as do my clients. You guys just name your price, we'll haggle, and then pay it. Okay?" "No," Hotsettler says, as the other lawyers begin laughing. "What's so funny?" Kenny asks. "Do you know what we do to the first lawyer of any client we sue in a case this big?" Bakkur asks back. "No," Kenny says, "what?" "We force them to get another lawyer," the senior partner grins. "It makes the case last longer, more money for us. Marsh will approve, our mission is to delay the Ravens, not sue and bankrupt them." "What are you talking about?" Two burly lawyers get up and close on Kenny. "Uh, guys?" "Make it look like an accident," Bakkur commands, and then Kenny screams as the two lawyers grab him and throw him out the window. "AUGH!!!"
Back down on the street, Kitainia is checking her watch again, when suddenly Kenny lands on the street hard. "OW!" he screams as Kitainia and Orion rush to help him. "What happened?" Kitainia asks. "Those guys tried to kill me!" "I think they suceeded, Kenny," Elena points out as she, Boris, and the others dash up. "But you survived because you're you." "Damn it," Kenny curses as Janice helps him to his feet. "Those guys are gonna pay. Now the case is personal." "Good," Kitaina grins at him. "We have to see the looks on their faces tomorrow when you come back to their building still alive. For now, let's let them have big egos." Kenny nods and says he needs some rest at the hotel. The group gets back in its car and starts heading there as the screen goes blank.

ED - You're right; King Arthur and Robin Hood were not actually contemporaries. But T. H. White tweaked chronology in his book to enable them to join forces. In his version, Arthur ruled Britain during the High Middle Ages rather than the 5th and 6th centuries, and also in "The Once and Future King" it was Uther Pendragon rather than William the Conqueror who carried out the Norman Conquest in 1066. In fact, in White's version of the story, all the historical Norman and Plantagenet kings of England are portrayed as fictional or legendary figures.

*** POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOR "THE SUN AND THE SERPENT: PART I" ***
Great story!!!
One thing I'd like to elaborate on is my opinion on the scene where Meryt meets Sata. Definately some tension between them, which is to be expected. I found Brook's behaviour a little understandable, but also questionable, in my opinion. I don't recall off hand precisely how close Brook and Meryt were in the story when they met. Anyway, Brook's reaction towards Meryt was kind of understandable, but I didn't like some of his actions. I'm very opinionated on stuff like this... feel free to flame me. ;) Don't get me wrong though... So far that's looking to be an intrical(sp?) part of the story... Plus it probably had to happen some time... I mean, with all the points and places in time Brook and Sata have/will probably go, the chances are they'll meet some of the same people again... And it makes for some darn good reading... ;) Maybe it's gonna end up be one of Brook's little lessons in life... I don't know... and I probably shouldn't even really speculate, but do you see where I'm coming from? I mean, Brook has been a jerk towards females before, and if this is one of his "lessons", will it be the last one he needs? Who knows? And before you get mad at me, let me say that I'm not condemning Brook or anything... he's one of my fave Gargs characters, I'm just basically saying that part of his personality could probably use some work... and he probably will change... *shrugs* But anyway... I'm done elaborating on that... I'll end up repeating everything if I continue on that subject...
I liked Brook's smart ass remarks in the story *chuckles* I also liked the part where he introduced the "magic" of investigation.
Oh, and to the writers: thanks for the explanations on the Egyptian stuff. *knows almost nothing about Egyptian mythology <:)*
Anyway, this is definately a story I'll read again and again... and I can't wait until Part II... *grumbles* Dang old cliffhangers... ;)
To the TGS staff: Keep up the good work!! :)

**RP HERE**
The screen flickers back on, with Bucharev and his gang attacking the Ravens. Jaden spins to face the accountant as he draws his Uzi, and hacks him in the chest with his battle axe. The man screams and dies. As everyone else turns to face them, the four goons begin bombarding the party with their chainguns and missiles. The team runs around, trying to dodge the bullets and blasts, but are still heavily wounded. The Ravens fire back, but their shots dink off the goons' armor. Bucharev laughs. "Massacre them!" Then all of a sudden the biggest goon falls down, a long sword stuck in his back. Stephanie, who managed to get behind him when he wasn't looking, pulls out her blade and turns to slash at the next armored thug. "They're shielded against bullets, lasers, and arrows!" she shouts. "But even modern armor is nothing against titanium-plated and sharpened steel!" She disembowels the next goon, and the other two turn their guns towards her. Lathrop quickly casts a spell and the goons scream, falling down as their metal suits begin smoking with heat. Jaden quickly runs up and uses his axe to help Stephanie finish them off. "Now it's just you," Doug says to Bucharev, getting up as he groans from the pain of his wounds. "I think not," the mobster snaps, his hoverchair rising out of the factory's skylight and zipping off at tremendous speed. "Try and catch me!!" The Ravens dash out after him, the factory exploding behind. They reach the Onslaught and hop in, to find Shap waiting for them. "You guys look torn up," the paladin grins. "What happened to Boris's family?" Doug asks, looking around. "I listened over our comm channel," Shap says. "I heard Bucharev talking about his plan, and about then those four went psycho on me. I had to take them out." "Good," Doug says. "You know they weren't Boris's real family. Now let's chase down Bucharev. We can't let him get away." Shap nods, and after making sure everyone is strapped in and drinking healing potions, starts the truck. As they begin to speed after Bucharev, Doug turns to face the CR.
**PAUSE RP**
Lawrence: Rats. You know, ever since you told me that episode title, I have been unable to get an image out of my head. You remember that Western movie with Madeline Stowe, Drew Barrymore, and a couple other people a few year's back? It was also called Bad Girls. There's this image on the cover for the video with the four cowgirls on the front in their Western wear holding weapons. The image I can't get out of my head is Buffy, Willow, Cordelia, and Faith in similar dress and poses. Cool image, huh? Too bad it won't happen. Oh well.
**EPISODE SPOILER ALERT**
Alright, Timedancer is back! And with a good episode that's finally picking up some old threads. Nice job on this one, TGS people. Plot and conflict were both well-established and flowed great. The Egyptian settings were also interesting, I look forward to seeing more of them next week.
I liked the character development on Brooklyn and Sata (both of whom got some really great lines, I particularly liked Brooklyn's 'magic of investigation'), and the interaction between Sata and Meryt was perfectly done. I could hear their voices in my head saying the words as I read them on the screen. Kentsu is also a great character, I like his "good man in a bad situation" image of villainy and would like to know more of his history with Brooklyn. Sigh, for that I'll have to wait till next week.
Hmm, Apep. If I recall my Egyptian myths correctly, he was the serpent-god of the Underworld, liked to eat humans for breakfast. Not a nice guy. Isfet is probably his daughter, I remember her snakelike form from For Old Times' Sake. Given that the other Egyptian gods are fay, Apep must be an evil fay. An Unseelie. I guess this explains Isfet's immortality. Now if we could just find out about Kentsu's.
The cliffhanger at the end was good, too. I can't wait till next week to see more of this episode. Kudos to Rahsaan and everyone else who worked on the ep.
Small discrepancy- There's a part in the ep that says Brooklyn and Sata visited Mardi Gras several years ago. Didn't they do that in the last Timedancer episode? I hope nothing happened between Gros Bon Ange and Sun and Serpent that was important! :)
**SPOILERS END**
Zath: $ Loved what you did to the Power Rangers. Ouch! Ouch! $ On the subject of Macbeth, it's a great play. I've been inspired to do writing by it myself. Gargoyles' treatment of the story is better and more historically accurate, but Shakespeare's is also a great work of literature. I'm not surprised whoever wrote Once and Future King has also read the play.
Watchmen: I've read that comic, it's pretty good. The villain in there was one of the many characters who inspired my fanfic villain Nick Mackovic. (For the full story on his origin and current plot, check out "Captives," my latest fic, at GFW now.)
DragonBallz: Never watched this series myself, I don't know much about it. But I do like to say "Super Saiyan Son Gokou," that name has a nice way of rolling off your tongue. <grin>
Firestorm: Ah, so and Lady Mystic are another couple whose lips never get tired of meeting. Hehehe. BTW, I see you've heard from Theresa. Mind telling us where she is? She's just vanished from the CR all of a sudden, and Kitainia and I are a little worried. Please give Lady Mystic our best.
Green Baron: Sent you the RP details by e-mail. Hope you got them. Once again, to you and Atilla (who is more hilarious than ever before), a big welcome back. BTW, where did he get that assault rifle? It's a brutal weapon for a priest.
DumlaoX: All those gifts. Man, you must love your girlfriend. Hope she pays you back for them appropriately. :)
Okay, that's all for now. Later!
**RP AGAIN**
Shap, driving the truck, catches up to Bucharev. Doug leans out the side window and fires two shotgun blasts at him. They bounce off his wheelchair's armor. "You cannot destroy me, Ravens!" Bucharev shouts down at them. "I'm too well-protected!" Suddenly his hoverchair's engines stop spitting out smoke and begin gurgling. "What the heck?" The engines die, and he lands on the street hard. "Uh oh," Bucharev says as Shap drives the Onslaught into and over him, smashing the hoverchair and crushing Bucharev. "That takes care of him," Doug says. Shap shakes his head. "Brutal killing, but it was righteous. I don't need to atone." "Right," Doug nods. "Okay, our mission here is done. What do we do now?" "Get some rest and heal these wounds!" Shauna suggests from the trailer. Doug nods. "Excellent idea. Let's head back to the garage we were storing the truck in and do that. In the meantime, I'll call Boris and Kitainia." He takes out his cell phone and dials as the screen fades out. To be continued.

In 4.5 hours, I got to get to my Life Sciences midterm. And it's all about genetics. If I can kick major posterior on this one, I think I'll celebrate by getting a game. Smash Brothers on N64 anyone?
ANNIVERSARY-- I'll be sure to let Ali know about the congrats from people in here. Now to get a second package of gifts ready for her. (Already sent package 1 to her. Included: mystery novel with Jane Whitfield character, scented candles, lip balm, The Waterboy soundtrack, orange Tic Tacs, drawing by me, random sticker, random keychain.)
ROBBY-- Sorry bout that. Actually, the post by Taleweaver was kind of a shock to me too. With somethi8ng important like that, I had to confirm it with the other staff members (gotta love ICQ) and once it was confirmed, especially after the requested wipe, I had to make sure this didn't go unnoticed. BTW, I think this is the longest we've ever done for multi-parters. And judging from the reactions so far, this is gonna be good.
ULTRAHLE-- Better have a 3D accelerator card as well as a DAMN good Pentium or Pentium II. The one advantage this bad boy has over the actual system is the ability to run a few games at VERY hi-res (800 x 600). Considering that the most a N64 can do with the extra 4MB cart is 640 x 480, that's DAMN good.
Till next time...

Todd: Robin Hood and King Arthur? Unless I'm mistaken, shouldn't they be separated by several centuries!
DumlaoX: New Timedancer ep? *blinks* Eh? Where’d that come from? Oh! Oh! Oh! Multi part story, with a sensationally cool title! Which of course means…
***COMMENTS & SPOILERS FOR “THE SUN AND THE SERPENT PART ONE”***
First off, cracking title guys. It’s got such a class ring to it, and seems to have a cryptic relevance as well- brilliant. And the story itself? Wow. It’s just great. The writing is gripping and dramatic, the plot is awe-inspiringly cool, and the sense of scale in this is marvellous. I just love it. Granted, it isn’t the kind of vivid and sensational story as with favourites beforehand, but it’s something different. It actually feels more akin to an actual novel in its scale and complexity.
The characters are great. Brooklyn’s his sarcastic albeit often clumsy self. Sata’s also perfectly in line with other episodes, and the tension between her and Meryt is superb. Khensu is a fascinating ‘villain’ while Isfet is just cool! A lovely contrast, that works as well here as it did in FOTS.
The only trouble with the rest of it is that there are lots of new characters with not especially memorable names. This makes it a little difficult to work out what’s going on from time to time. But while some of the name details are lost, it’s still fascinating.
The cliffhanger is a top one as well- I love it. In fact, I love this episode- it’s the best TD episode I can think of bar two, and even then they rank very close IMO.
GREAT stuff Nicodemus and expertly written Rahsaan! And great picture Amber, and I love the hair there :) Whoever does the HTMLing of the fics might want to add on the illustration credit to the piece itself- Amber isn’t recognised on there right now.
But… a week until part two! *sob*

**Green Baron arrives with much great news**
My new boss called. He want sme to start work on the 16th, but since that is Mardi Gras, I'll start the 17th. I guess I'll be there with ashes on :)
**Looks at Attila's posts** That cat!!
Wilek> It seems my cat just tends to disturb you. Actually, there is a BloodHound gang song that says, "Webster is the Anti-Christ, yeah, Emmanuel Lewis is the Anti-Christ. The Roof! The Roof! The Roof is on fire...." Most of you know the rest :) it is a very sick song, but it really cracks me up, ever since my former roomate told me about it last year. We also played old hippie songs backwards to find hidden subliminal Buddhist messages :)
Jewel> I saw the post in the other CR, and I apologize for my cat. He is a lousy speller, and he will be reprimanded righ now.
**Attila is thrown into the backyard pool** Rreeowwww!!!!! splash!!
I hope your job searching goes well. A lot of businesses are now looking for Liberal Arts Majors.
Mandi> Roomates can be fun, but a single is nice, too. Did you get my e-mail?
Doug> $He just threw in Strom as a joke. I don't like what he was, but it's difficult to hate some feeble old man who really hasn't done anything too bad in recent times. I guess she should be happy to know that he is no longer Armed Services Chair. That Office went to John Warner (R-Va). I'd be really happy is she sliced up Tom Harkin, though :)**
Doug> BTW, could you fill me in on the RP. I recall something about a Bishop that you don't think I would like.
Kyrvyn> Congratulations on your Wedding. 14 years is definitely a good amount of time to know if this is certain. I hope you and Okami truly are "Until Death do us part". BTW, Attila will perform it for a kilo of catnip or $100.00 :)
Dumalo and Al> Happy Anniversary. You should go to New Orleans and celebrate in style with Mardi Gras.

Heather> glad to hear the surgery went OK
Steve> Bad idea! This might piss them off. Better to have the person incharge write one letter or if asked submit personal info about us. umm that sentence doesn’t sound right what I meant to say is if Deuce’s parents want to know about the people here then submit the info to them. Well higher up what say yea.
Again though don't email them without them asking. One message shows shows caring a hundred harassment.
Congrats Kyryn what is it about this year and marriages?? Oh well two of my friends are getting married as well (it only took her seven years to get the death grip on him:).
DumaloX congrats and many more
Jackal> something weird in here?!?!? say it aint so
Zath>Form what I have seen at Cons and form a few of my friends Its the Gay guys who have all the girls hanging on them???????? further proof god has a sense of humor
Lexy> Hmm if Liz is 18-19 then her parents really keep her under their thumbs. The hole scifi con part where she had to meet back up with her parents either screams young or over protective parents.
Since mine weren’t overprotective I could have misjudged it. Heck mine only talked to me to run errands
Ex. “Ring” phone rings its 11:00 p.m. and I’m at a friends house.”yea he is here. Mom? You want me to go home and go to the corner store a block form your house and get you a candy bar? its is a hours drive form here?? fine!”. end of Ex. Nice to hear someone gets along with their parents:).

Excuse me if this post is a bit bitter. My roommate assured me she was getting up at 9 (so I'd have a little time to answer e-mail before work) but just changed up and decided to sleep in til 9:45. I turned the computer on anyway.
Jewel> A Demona-bashes-the-PR fic? I actually have an old partial draft of something like that on a disk somewhere. I'd have to look, but if anyone really wants to see that, I'll try to dig it up and revise. With my luck, the disk is probably at home somewhere.
**glaring at roommate who's thrashing around** Oh, please. Mornings she gets up before me, she uses the hair dryer, and typing is keeping her awake?
Coyote> I hope you feel better. **uploads sympathy vibes**
That does it. I'm finishing this post at work the next time my supervisor's running errands. As roommates go, I lucked out, but mornings like this make me miss having a single. :)

ZATH - They also use the concept in T. H. White's book of the faerie-folk being vulnerable to iron (the bit where Arthur and Robin Hood team up against Morgan le Fay) and the original Cavall, after whom the one in TGS:Pendragon was named, shows up in "The Sword in the Stone" (as you've probably noticed).
I thought that the first part of White's book (The Sword in the Stone) was great, but it gets a bit weaker in the latter parts where it's more of a Malory paraphrase and some of the original inventiveness gets lost.

Click my name to go to an emulation site that's packed with N64 ROMs. Just... be sure to buy the cartridge first, since the N64 is still in production. ^_^ As for playing the ROMs, there's an emulator called UltraHLE somewhere that you can use. Not sure where...I can e-mail you the file if you like; it's quite small (~200k).
BTW everyone, I think I've figured out part of the reason the percent sign cuts off posts here. It's an HTML command opener. Put a percent sign, then a certain string of text, and end it with a semicolon, and it'll generate characters not present on the keyboard. Like this (if the post cuts off here I'll feel really dumb): Ø Æ That kind of thing. Why the CR doesn't simply treat it like the <> signs is anyone's guess.

ERRRRRR! my post got wiped! NO! *sigh* ok..ill try one more time..hope i can remember:P
(keep in mind i DID have all the names for this earlier, but not anymore. so sorry to those i mention..in my own way:))
NO NAME< WOW you know "Yakko Warners the nations of the world" song! cool! i have been after that casset for a long time..but i never found it:( hey next time ya get the chance..why DONT ya post it again:) then i can print it and memorize it.
NO NAME< thanks for the names! Speedy service..ya i get it:P oh, and i knew about the Q thing..just lazy:) How did i memorize it? I for one enjoy memorizing long drawn out somewhat annoying show toons..they always come in handy..ALWAYS! So, since this one always was played when i was at school, i waited till summer, then while babysitting got out a pen and a pad and the rest is history:)
Dragonball topic< YEA! i luv dragonball, the real version not the english dubbed. Ya, since it has already been just about everywhere else and caused sensation and great merchandising it was only a matter of time before somebody brought it to the states.
Simpsons lost to underdog!? ok:P
IRONWOLF< *he he* i remembered your name:) ya, your right. Lex would have a problem pushing a 20 yr. old garg male with a 16 or 17 yr. old human female on the clan..or goliath..or her family! But we dont really know her age yet. Remember that Aiden seemed young and looked it as well..by now i think she would be near 19. sooo...ya know *shrugs*
NO NAME< parental units getting ya down..well my advice is pretty near that of Kaioto's. Anyone can get out of line..even mom and dad. But it is dangerous even stupid to fight them at times. There is of course instances that anyone can be very wrong in judgment. But for the most part what they do is for, or what they think is for your best interests. They do provide your food, your clothes, your roof over your head, lots a' stuff. So it would be foolish to go against them unless absolutly necessary. It is sometimes more worth it to you to sacrafice somethings that you want or belive now, for the greater good of keeping peace with rents. No matter what we say, no matter what we do, we are still their babies, just their babies. They have leared to except us, luv us, provide for us, and watch over us. Now we pull away? It isn't an easy transaction for anyone. You know when your parents say, "You just dont understand yet", what they REALLY mean to say is, "HEY, i was your age too! I pulled the same stunts, said the same things to my parents, and ya know what? It didn't do ME any good either. Because i grew up then had you, and only NOW do i understand. Some day i can only hope you will too, but for now, as then, it is fruitless to argue. *he he* ya catch more flys with honey ya know. Im not saying to kiss up. NO. and im not saying to try and be all cool about it now. Like, "oh hey mom SEE i can be responsible" and take out the garbage once or twice..or start more regularly making the ol' bed. It is a constant, daily stuggle to earn parents, or anyones trust. So for those of us that missed that point earlier on..*he he* well..give it time. THEN AGAIN there ARE those parents..who are just plain unreasonable..in which case you must use your own justice..in that if they say, "i dont care that you are 18 and are legally and adult..your not staying out after 10" well ya, the question is now. what is worth more to me. getting punished a lil for the greater good..or staying home and becoming isolated and introverted..pick your evil i guess:P well, that is an extream case..but i have met those:) Not me though. ***WARNING BRAGGING AHEAD*** me and my mom are best friends..she trusts me with EVERYTHING..and i appease her kindness and trust with always being the good lil strait A and B, luvs to work, and cleans her room, child she luvs..*he he* ****END OF BRAGGING!****
SO, thats my advise..lame or not..there it is:P it was better written before..and i EVEN had names..but..well..ya know. SO sorry if i offended anyone when i didn't use the real name.
*turns to leave hoping she didn't forget anything* bye bye :)

Hey all,
Fire Storm > I'm feeling much better, thanks. (Aren't you glad you're using up all your sick days in January/February? :) Feel better, man, I know where you're coming from.
Oh, and Nuclear Weapons 101 update: This week we discussed the controversial Smithsonian Enola Gay exhibit and why it was assassinated. Next week: "Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie."
Robby > <Um, more or less, it's taken me about two years to write 20 fics. The first one took like 4 months... But some others I've write in a single day, some take much longer... None of them are shorter than ten pages, some are closer to thirty or fifty pages..>
***Begin Steve's writing rant***
Heh. Allow me to tell you a story, if you will. It's about a little project I had going in the early part of '97 - a military story that was supposed to be "Oh, not too long... maybe 125 pages or so." (As I described to a friend before I started). First three chapters: three days. Then a chapter a week for eight weeks. Five months later, it's done. My little "125 pager" has exploded to 360 pages, all written on my Amiga 500 and printed out on my old dot-matrix (single sided). Needless to say, it's HUGE. It's on my shelf now, BOLTED together with 3-inch bolts (It destroyed three binders before I settled on the bolts).
By this point my old man was screaming at me to work on picking colleges to look at, but I was already planning sequels. The first one I knocked off that summer - 180 pages. The second I'm still working on. That's when I ran into trouble. When I got my new (and first) PC that winter, I discovered that the Amiga text files were incompatible with, well, just about everything else on the planet. So I've got 500 pages of text just sitting around on floppies at home, waiting for me to find a working Amiga emulator and hook up its disk drive to my serial port.
[smile] Then I get to *revise* all that! :)
***End Steve's writing rant***
What was the point of all that? [shrugs] I dunno. Just wanted to get that off my chest and to say that I, too, take my time at writing some things. Others, like a great Star Wars fanfic that blew away my writing teacher, I could pound out in days.
'Night all.

Wilek- Dragonball Z being censored... Well, mostly its stuff keeping the show from a PG rating to a G... Characters don't cuss, no body ever dies, (They just get sent to the next dimension,... Shudder...) any deaths in the series are conveniantley explained some other way, all nudity is missing (which is acceptable, given our culture...), and some really awesome attacks are cut completley, like Goku getting a giant laser beam through the chest in the fourth episode... Its mostly forgivable, and you can usually tell when something doesn't jibe. Its only painful if you've seen the original Japanese stuff. Whats really fun is when a city gets blown up and you see characters running and screaming for their lives, and the very next episode its described as an "abandoned city"... Or when a helicopter is blown up and someone can "see the guy's parachute, he'll be okay..." Annoying stuff like that. But the story is mostly intact, if you don't pay too much attention it never gets too bad.
As far as the movie, The World's Strongest showing on Friday... Watch it, it'll give you a decent idea of what the series is like, just lacking the coolest characters... And I've never seen that movie in English, I'll have to set the VCR... Just a warning, do NOT watch Dragonball for the plot, you'll be dissapointed. You watch that show for the fight sequences that average at least an hour in length!
Um, more or less, it's taken me about two years to write 20 fics. The first one took like 4 months... But some others I've write in a single day, some take much longer... None of them are shorter than ten pages, some are closer to thirty or fifty pages... I write at about average speed I suppose... But then, there are other stories outside of gargs I've spent time on too...
And Tarzan's costume... True he's only worn a loin cloth in the past but they could have had the full body one ala Hercules, or they could have at least made it longer than three inches! He's gonna be practically naked the whole movie!
Dumlao- Oh sure, ruin the surprise about "The Sun and the Serpent"... I was gonna string tem along thinking it was only a two parter... Ah well, you're the boss...
Firestorm- Put a space in your name? Okay Firestorm, I'll do that from now on... Just foolin' with ya Fire Storm, I'll do my best to get it right. **Robby walks out mumbling Firestorm, Firestorm, Firestorm, Firestorm...**

Theresa/Starsinger: LM just got your message today. She will e-mail you when she has the chance (And more awake). She says <Hugs>
Lady Mystic is at my are now, and she says "Hi!" to everyone, and she would post if she wasn't so tired.
SJ: Borg Queen DEAD? God, you mortals think so three dimensionally!
Newbies: Fire is here now? Wheres Stormy? <G>
(I can see the Gathering pick now: Fire Storm, Fire and Stormy! <G>)
Timedancer: The boy is back in time!
Jackal: FmyF, what level of codine?
Steve: Eeeck! I hope you feel better now. I barely do, and I had to work today... almost got fired beacuse of absences... damn corporate policy... AND I AM BARELY ABSENT!
To the rest of those who are sick: I offer Chicken Soup (If you think you can keep it down... I know I wasn't really able to until day 3)
ANY DOCTORS IN THE HOUSE?!?
Symptoms: Sudden occurance of symptoms, VIOLENT vomiting, diareah <Sp!>, weak stomach, weakness (Possbily due to lack of nutrition, though.)
Reason: Flu or Food poisioning?
FYF: I was getting over a very mild case of the flu when these symptoms occured. I say possible food poisioning beacuse a few of my co-workers who ate at the same place had similar (varing degrees of it, though) symptoms, but not really anyone who didn't.
<>WARNING! NAME RANT! PLEASE READ!<>
Ok, one little thing about my name is starting to bother me. My name is FIRE STORM, not FIRESTORM! One is "The Skies burning" the other is "a large, uncontrolable fire".
(FYF, Firestorm's story in the GFW fan-fic Archive is NOT mine. I have no idea who wrote that one.)
It's just that I keep seeing my name mispelled, and it gets a little annoying after awhile. My name was correctly spelled more often when I was a Newbie then it is now! (And I have been posting for almost a year now!)
FS is fine for a quote, though.

**MORE PARTY RP!**
[The bouncer, Dracula's son Alucard, is staring in a little desparation at the all-out war the bar fight has become. "Even I can't take care of all this...unless..." He teleports out of sight.]
**END RP!**
Robby> THANK YOU EXTREMELY MUCH for extending the party! ^_^ (Should that have been in $$?) Hm, how was DBZ censored exactly? And...how long did it take you to write 20 fics? I've taken months just to write 3! Tarzan's new costume...<shudder> Who else shares my opinion of humans in loincloths? <ecch> But then, it's not exactly a *new* costume for him; he's never worn anything else as I recall.
Samurai Pizza Cats> Well...It was nice. I didn't see much of it though.
I don't follow the news, so there's a few things I'm unclear on: What exactly did Falwell say to get ppl so ticked off, and why do we hate France?
Underdog beat Simpsons?! I'm not a big fan of either show, but Simpsons is FAR superior IMO. Ah well, at least it's no longer a threat to Gargs.
Deuce> You're...leaving?! NOOOOOOOOO! I sincerely hope you'll be able to get your parents to realize just what the CR is about, and that we're not all clones of Larry Flynt like they seem to think we are. If they actually read our posts, they'd have all the evidence they need.
Dragon Ball Z? Hm...I haven't watched it much, but it might be good, especially the movie that's coming on the Cartoon Network Friday at 4:00 eastern time. You have to love a movie where the villain is a brain in a jar.
Dumlao X> I have an NES emulator! Where'd you get the ROM?
Welcome back, Heather! I hope your recovery goes well.
Kyryn> You're getting hitched? Congratulations dear!
TIMEDANCER'S BACK?!!!!!!!!!!!! YES! YES! YES! YES! HA HA!
Man, the room was cleared early. Kinda kewl.
Coyote> ANOTHER RL Excedrin headache?! ACK! Maybe we should just abolish cars, build real high towers, and hire a few million gargs to glide ppl around. I'd do it.
Dumlao X> Happy anniversary you 2!
**YAY! SPOILERS FOR THE NEW TIMEDANCER EP!**
Finally, some explanation for "For Old Times' Sake". Hm, the ancient Egyptians called gargs 'sphinxes'. Which makes one wonder: What did the ancient monument called the Sphinx originally look like? Sata's "if you don’t tell me what’s going on, I will cheerfully strangle you" is going in my quotebook. ^_^ One last thing...Who the [censored] is Isfet's father anyhow? I suspect he's either a sorcerer or a Fey...
**END SPOILERS!**
Zath> <<I think the whole "absorbing sunlight while they sleep" thing was just something Sevarius made up.>> Well...Greg said SJ's dad was hypothesizing about that, but that he was more right than wrong. Hm.
SJ> <<The Borg Queen is back!>> WHAT? <grr> Man I wish I could figure out when that show came on! I lost it the last time it was moved a few months ago and I haven't seen it since! <<Waitta minute.....I thought she was dead.....I smell a continuity problem.>> What about time travel? She could be from the past. Or what if it's not the same Queen?
Attilla> <<> I always thought Emmanuel Lewis was the Anti-Christ>> Given what the name Emmanuel means, that's the single sickest joke I've ever heard.
**RESUME RP!**
[A flash of light is seen at the balcony where Wilek and his Dark Mage clone are observing the fight and Demmy's truthtelling session. Wilek: "Hey DM, look who wants a word with us." Dark Mage Wilek: "Where do we sign up?"]

Another great Mulan line... "I'm going to make a man out of you!"
Fire- For some reason, I don't think the Timedancer villain is Mosenwrath... And basically, various characters are staying alive through various means of immortality. More than that I won't say ...
Hmm, I remember the story being longer when I proofread it. Must be because I read parts 1 and 2 at the same time...
James- Just thought I should mention, you left out the "http://" portion of your web page addy. My computer automatically pulls that up so I didn't notice until it was pointed out. Next time you put up your site address, put the http in...
SJ- I agree. That one bit is part of what made Watchmen great... But ever since I read it I've had to wonder like many comic fans... "Who watches the Watchmen?"
Tarzan's Rosy O'Donnel gorilla... Hey, Rosie's a popular woman.
Zath- It was a good RP bit, but did you really have to have the Power Rangers steal one of Brooklyn's greatest scenes? "YOWTCHIE!" I wouldn't have minded... Ah well...
Great lines... "KAMEHAMEHA!" -Goku, of Dragonball Z fame
Kyryn- I forgot to say it earlier... Congrats!
Hmm... Not much else to say... On with the party!
**JIM'S PARTY!!!**
Jim Iza Noying hears some nasty yelps of "Ouch" coming from outside, so he pries himself away from Demona's truth-telling session to investigate. He discovers the Power Rangers.
"Haven't you guys left YET?"
"No, we're getting in!" Jim sighs.
"You're not going to get through the forcefield that way. You're going to have to call upon your vehicles. And since the green/white ranger is already inside, you're not going to have your full assortment of firepower, which means you won't have enough. So save your time and go home."
"Our zords! Why didn't we think of that earlier?" The rangers go into a bunch of weird motions and jump forty feet into the air to land in their vehicles. They combine into their main zord and Jim yawns. He hits a button and from out of nowhere comes Voltron!
Meanwhile, Brain is talking to some fellows in strange cloaks. "So you Leos are bent on taking over the world?"
"YEEEES!" Brain grins. He might like these people...
And lastly, going back to Demona for a moment, there is a sudden commotion when Brooklyn growl and tries to get everyone away from her. In his drunken state, and her drugged state, neither one is aware of the fact that they are being VERY nice to each other... Almost romantic even... Conveniantly, they'll probably have forgotten about the whole thing in the morning...

Gargoyles vs Power Rangers: (looks at subject)Hey... I actually would like to see that...Demona taking on all the brightly-colored spandexed weenies...hee hee hee...
Watchmen: Defintely a cool series. And SJ, that was my favorite lines of the whole thing. Which reminds me--have any of y'all seen the "If I Ever Become an Evil Overlord" forward? Right up the alley of what to do when you gain power as an evil overloard of power...

Woo HOOO!!! Time Dancer!!! ^_^ YEs! Yet another sieries to read through the week. ^_^ *hums happily to herself*^_^
Now, for some
****SPOILERS ALERT FOR TIME DANCER!!!*****
O.K. I have been wondering about this story for a loooooooonng time. ^_^ When did Brooklyn first meet Myrt. (Sp?!) Its great to be finnaly finding out. ^_^ Though I'm wondering. Why did Brooklyn and Sata have to carry her down to the train? Can't she fly or was it mentioned before that she lost her wings and I forgot? Also, how are those three staying alive?
There is only one more thing that I have been meaning to say. When-ever you describe whats-his-name (I'm BAD with names) the sorcerer (worse with spelling) his description reminds me of that evil wizard with the flying eel from the TV seiries of Alladin. Is this just a cawinky-dink or does someone have a wierd sense of humor about these thing (Not that I really have to ask a bout anyone here having a wierd sense of humor... ;) )
***end of Time Dancer spoilers and end of messagfe. *back to Lurking. ^_^*******

****PARTY RP****
The crowd surrounding Demona keeps getting bigger and bigger, as more folks come to hear all the dirty little secrets she has to tell. It's better than Springer, folks!
"So...." Sevarius Jr. asks Demona. "There's something that's always been bugging me. Did you and Macbeth....um, how do I put this.....did you and Macbeth ever.....you know. *wink, wink*."
"When I was part of his army?"
"Yeah."
"Nope. Never."
"Oh."
"But when we were dating in France...."
<<Editor's Note: The story that unfolded from Demona's mouth after said question was, in the author's opinion, unfit for a PG rated comment room, and was therefore censored. Let's just say it involved whip cream, an electrical extension cord, and several size "AA" batteries.>>
***END PARTY RP***
Deuce: God, that's depressing. Don't leave us!
However, I realize the choice may not be yours. I hope your parents don't permanently ban you from the room. I can understand them wanting to protect you from harm, but, despite what most people might believe, all us posters here are pretty harmless. Should your 'net privileges be taken away completely, I must admit, I'll be depressed. You're a pretty cool guy, I'd hate to see you have to go. Just remember: We probably won't be going anywhere (hopefully), so we'll be here if and when you come back.
Doug: Hey, I forgot Claire Forlani was in that! Personally, I think she looks her best in Kevin Smith's Mallrats.
And yeah, Tony Todd was "Rocketman". He's one of those actors that's in tons of B-movie/tv stuff. Like I said earlier, he was great in Candyman.
Story: Hey, welcome to the comment room! You obviously have good taste, cause you agreed with me! ;)
Watchmen: What really blew me away with this miniseries, besides the great writing, was that the bad guy totally and completely WON.
For those of you not familiar with the comic, there's this guy named Ozymandias. He's trying to bring about world peace. Noble goal, huh? The problem is, to do it, he creates an "alien" lifeform, places it in New York City, then detonates it, turning the whole city into a pile of rubble, and killing millions. The world, thinking an alien invasion is imminent, joins together. Anyone who stands in his way, he kills.
But he has my alltime favorite comic book line, simply for it's shock value. When the heroes finally figure out his plan, they confront him, and ask the classic "Did you really think you'd get away with it? When were you planning to do it?" To whicy Ozy replies:
"'Do it?' Dan, I'm not a republic serial villain. Do you seriously think I'd explain my masterstroke if there remained the slightest chance of you affecting it's outcome? I did it thirty-five minutes ago."
See, villains! That's the key! Tell the hero your plans AFTER you've completed them!
Star Trek Voyager: I saw previews for a 2 part episode coming up. The Borg Queen is back! Waitta minute.....I thought she was dead.....I smell a continuity problem.
X-Files: Well, it's about time for some friggin' answers. I was on a sight today that told the timeline for X-Files. It gave me an ice-cream headache. Do you realize how convoluted the show really is? Plus the movie, thought I liked it, told us very little. I'm still a bit confused....
But this leads me to a question--Is this the last season of X? I think Scully said recently there might be one more season. Revealing all the secrets may be an indicator that this may just be the final 'Files season....
Tarzan: Saw previews for this. Looks okay....except for the Rosie O'Donnell gorilla. What were they thinking? I look forward to the day that the "cute little animal sidekick" becomes extinct.
Pizza Cats: Hey, I thought I was like the only fan of this! I loved the show. It was pretty fun, and I liked how, in the end, Bad Bird (I think that was the head crow's name) became one of the heroes. (Although why did his voice have to go up a dozen octaves in doing so?)
Zath: What, you don't think the Mutates or Gargs could down 3 bovines in a day? I think Broadway could easily match that number and raise it a cow or two. (I'm sorry, Broadway fat jokes are just so easy....)

**WARNING, PARTY RP**
Zath, realizing that the crisper drawer isn't the most interesting place to be, climbs out of Jim's fridge and joins the party (just pretend I've been in there since the house got blown up back in November : P ). After wandering around for a while and finding an entire room of the mansion full of no one but characters killed in Tarantino movies, Zath settles down to listen to Demona's secrets.
**END RP FOR NOW**
Boy, it's going to take a while to catch up with this past week's worth of posts.
Wilek> <<Doesn't it look an awful lot like the Star Wars Max Rebo beany baby?>> I don't know, I've been trying to stay out of the whole beany baby thing. I own one (the creepy looking chameleon), but for reasons other than hoping it will be worth something some day.
Robby> I remember battle beasts! I have about 40 of them, not counting doubles, but none of their little badges work anymore : (. They are all at my dad's house, but I was actually playing with them when I was there at Christmas time. I have the armadillo too (by the way, your RP with all the animals running into the house sounds like that t-shirt I mentioned. It says "From out of the past, come the thundering hoofs..."). Is it just me, or do the battle beast birds and the bat look like gargoyles without tails? <<Yakko's world song>> I never got past Puerto Rico, but for a while I came pretty close to knowing the entire universe song. I forget most of it now, but I can still do the clucking thing at the end of "The Good, The Boo, and The Ugly".
Kitainia> I thank you, and the Blob thanks you too.
Selanit> <<it really doesn't matter whether it is moral or not. Fertility research pays *very* well>> Not to mention there's a lot less risk for the doctors with fertility than on the other end of the spectrum. When was the last time some nut activist blew up a fertility clinic?
Parents> My mom's always afraid I'm going to be stupid enough to meet some child-molesting ax murder over the internet, give them the family's credit card and bank account numbers, and then invite them over to the house for milk and cookies. She also has a big thing against Disney because the movies scared her when she was little, so, needless to say, I try to keep her from knowing about this place...
Twisti Cats> Those people better watch out, or else their reward for such cruelty to animals may be a visit from the avenging Kitty of death.
Gargoyles and Sunlight> I think the whole "absorbing sunlight while they sleep" thing was just something Sevarius made up. A lot of that speech about gargoyle and mutate anatomy sounds pretty screwy when you think about it. If Anton Sr. is to be believed, those electric eel genes let the mutates break the law of conservation of energy. I'm not even going to try to figure out where he got the "3 cows a day" from. He seems to ignore the fact that gargs probably use little or no energy while the sun is up and when they glide they almost never even flap. The way I see it, gargs eat about the same amount as humans do (with some exceptions) but expend the energy they get from that food in a whole lot less time. The rest of their greater physical strength can be explained away using different muscle construction (gators are strong and they can get away with only eating one large animal a month or even only 1 a year) and good physical fitness (I hear fighting crime is a good aerobic workout). For a while I was planning to write a fic with a character getting in an argument with Sevarius over these issues, but it doesn't look like I'm going to do it any time soon, so I figured I'd just say it all here.
More stuff on genetics> I got to miss school yesterday to attend a presentation about genetics. The guy discussed the human genome project (currently looks like it'll be done in 2003, 2 years early) and the "DNA chip" that will result from it. He also talked about using DNA testing to identify the bodies of the Romanovs and the woman who claimed to be Anastasia (she wasn't) and he went into great detail about exactly what you have to do to make a clone (like having to starve to the point of nearly killing the cell donating the DNA, otherwise the process won't work). I learned quite a bit (more research for that fic I hope to someday write).
Dark Ages> Since it's taking twice as long for season 2 of DA to come out, does that mean we'll get twice as many pictures per episode? I hope, I hope, I hope...
DumlaoX> Congratulations on your anniversary, which happens to be just a couple of days before my birthday. That's right, in less than a week, I'll be of legal voting age. **half the CR immediately logs off and begins making preparations to move to Canada.**
Coyote> <<GAWD I'm lonely!>> You aren't the only one. Perhaps it's my watch. Does anyone in here think a watch on the right hand means the same thing as an earring in the right ear? If it does I need to get a shirt that says, "I'm not gay, I'm just left handed." Maybe then I could get a date.
Interesting coincidences> I'm currently reading The Once And Future King (I got it for Christmas, which in itself was a coincidence since I never mentioned reading Pendragon to anyone in my family) and I noticed that there is one scene where there is a hawk that had a good deal of his dialogue taken from Macbeth (the play, not our favorite cartoon immortal). I've noticed other allusions to it in other places as well, like the part about the hedgepig whining. I was wondering if anyone else has run into seemingly unrelated gargoyle stuff brought together in a single book, movie, cartoon, etc...
**RESUME PARTY RP**
After listening to Demona's secrets for a while it begins to pall. Did we really need to know that Demona didn't stop picking her nose when she didn't think anyone was looking until the 18th century? Zath begins wandering around the house again, eventually ending up on the roof, which provides an excellent view of the surrounding property. Down on the lawn, the Power Rangers are still trying to get through the force field. Having run out of energy and ideas, they are now just sitting in front of it going <bzzzt>"ouch"... <bzzzt>"ouch"... <bzzzt>"ouch".... Suddenly they remember seeing a similar situation once on a really TV cool show and all throw themselves on the force field at once, hoping that it will weaken enough to let one of them through. Unfortunately (for them at least) the designer of the field saw the same show and made the generator strong enough to prevent just such an occurrence, resulting in a bunch of very dazed geeks in spandex, extra crispy style, still on the outside of the field. Zath smiles evilly and settles down on the edge of the roof to shoot spit wads through a straw at the PRs as they slowly cease their convulsions and regain their motor skills.
**END RP**
Wow, I wrote a lot. I guess that's enough for now. Bye all.

*groans* No RP tonight ... this cold is getting worse, and right now I can barely think straight to make these replies ... not to mention I'm in a particularly low mood tonight ...
RL Excedrin Headache #17: Everything's all fixed up on my car ... $165 worth of work on it ... and *THEN* they figure out that it's got a cracked cylinder head!!! *sigh* The amount of money I pump into this car, I swear ...
Robby: At the beginning of the movie, there was a scene involving Cal (Neal Patrick Harris) and Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien) where they were testing Rico's psychic ability by having him try to match standard playing cards. Incidentally, Rico was terrible ... his answers didn't even put him within the statistics ("You know, statistically speaking you should've gotten at least one right by accident by now.").
DumlaoX: Ohh, really? Happy anniversary, you two's.
Heather: Glad you got through surgery. Here's hoping your wrist's back up to factory specs soon.
Kyryn: Coolies, congratulations!
*sigh* Dang ... so many couples in here ... GAWD I'm lonely! :P
The card: Hmm ... everyone's setting their numbers too high for me ... the card I had in mind was the three of clubs. Maybe I'll try it again later, and use an easier amount of cards (maybe limit it to a euchre deck?).
*sniffle* Oh well, back to Sick-As-A-Dog Land ...
