**Robby walks in humming. "I am the very model of a modern major general, I've information animal, vegetable and mineral... I know the kings of England and I quote the fights historical, from Marathon to Waterloo in order categorial..."**

AAARG! That blasted song is *STILL* in my head from when ReBoot filked it... Like 5 weeks ago! Of course, I helped Lonny filk the dang thing so that may be part of it...

The Star Wars to Star Wars special was pretty lame. It came out to basically be... "We used computers for the special effects! Computers can do anything your imagination wants! We used computers for the special effects..." Oii...

On the upside, today they aired the first episode of Pokemon! It was the best episode I've seen, because Pikachu and Ash actually had personalities!

Aaron- Thats THE way to make Jar Jar well liked! tO KILL HIM! Yah!

Wilek- That DBZ site gives an idea of how much is cut... But ya gotta figure, the first 65 Japanese episodes were squished into 53 in america...

**Robby kills Sli Sludge** There ya go Zath.

Gunjack- Demona May is the friggin' best artist I have the pleasure to know, and she's a total gargoyle freak. She's been my snail mail penpal for a couple years now, and for the last few months she's been putting together a web page... and she intends to be at the Gathering. Um, I think she has pictures on the Adult Gargs site, but I'm not sure.

Personal description- Moot point, I still don't know if I'm going to the Gathering or not. (I really won't know until the day it starts.) But if I go, I'll be easily recognizable... I'll make sure of that.

Deuce- You'll be missed!

Alex's power- Ohh, I *really* wish I could comment on this... Somedays I really dislike being on staff...

Blue Caeru- Wasn't a stupid question. I HAD been clearing the CR early... Mostly because I thought I'd be doing something else at midnight. Ah well...

Don Karnage- There *ARE* red wolves...

Dumlao- Welcome back!

Kermit the Frog- Welcome back! Stick around this time!

JEB- The international channel clearly watches their Dragonball episodes before they rate them. After all, they have to put in the subtitles. Its just Saban, and now FUNimation have been overly balistic in the censorchip and translation.

Doug- There's also a whole webring dedicated to Jim Cummings!

Sports- Go San Antonio Spurs! Go Dallas stars! Go whatever baseball team Texas has! Go whatever hockey team Texas has!

Christine- Valid gripe. Personally, I agree with you, that *IS* kinda ironic and unfair... Which is why I let the room slide into a PG-13 rating a while back... But I really don't have control of the rules, I just enforce them... I think the main reason is, once sex starts being discussed, several people get uncomfortable, and others get carried away and take the rating higher than it should be and things get out of control... But, isn't talk in detail what the adult site is for?

**RP**

Jim Iza Noying and Tina are being led by forty or so three foot talls guys in cloaks with silver daggers and one small robot in front to an airplane.
"Um, where are you taking us?" Jim asks innocently.
"To meet or diety, the great butterfly Bob! We told you that already!"
"Okay... Right. And where is this great diety?"
"You will find out soon!" And so the plane takes off...

***BEGIN RP, CHOCKED FULL OF TORTURE AND DISMEMBERMENT, JUST FOR YOU (sadly, no sex...yet)!!!****
SJ stared down at his fallen friend, Wilek. Compassion filled his face, than anger. "That's it!!" he shouted. "I came here to find the location of my father; then it became a quest to save the land of Oz. But now my friends are being hurt--or even killed! I have to stop Eisner. This insanity has to end!"
SJ stood up, and seeing that Miriam was protectively standing by to fend off any attackers willing to finish off the injured gargoyle, he moved back into the thick of the battle. "Here's where the real butt-kicking begins." He whipped out two Pokeballs from behind his back. "I had hoped not to have to use these two guys, but...it's now or never. Pokeballs, go!" From the devices sprang an Onix, a huge snake-like beast made entirely of incredibly hard rock; and a Kabutops, an ancient and rare Pokemon that looked like a giant, man-sized praying mantis, only with scythe-like blades on each long, stalky arm. "Onix, Kabutops, GO!!"
Eagerly, the two Pokemon joined the battle. Onix wrapped its coils around several members of the Wicked Tribe, squeezing them in an impenetrable death grip. The bones of the monkeys began to break with a sickening snap. Kabutops had moved on to the vampire masses. It's deadly scimitar blades moved swiftly, severing a limb here, or ripping into a torse there; no vampire in its path went by without getting a chunk of it's flesh sliced off with a surgeon's precision.
Still, the battle raged on. The spectre of Walt Disney moved toward Eisner, only to be intercepted by the sorcerer summoned by the head Kindred. With a muttering of magic words, the sorcerer sent a magic bolt crashing into Walt. The ghost actually cried out in pain; obviously, this sorcerer's magic was powerful enough to pierce the veil of death.
Scarecrow ran breathless up to SJ, dodging a Ghoul being flung across the room by Argent (and of course, her draco Jewel*D!). "LOOK!" he shouted, pointing to Eisner on his throne. Standing in the shadows behind the throne, guarded by two deadly looking demons, was a girl...a girl wearing a simple farm dress, her hair in pig tails, her shoes clad in ruby slippers.
"It's her! It's Dorothy!"
"Yeah, AND??"
"If I can get to her--if she and I can join hands--I can use her power to stop Eisner!"
SJ looked grimly at Dorothy, and assessed the situation. To get her, they'd have to fight their way to Eisner's throne, than somehow get past him to get to her....not an easy feat. Still...SJ looked at the unconscious Wilek, at the bound TRC and DMW, at the rest of his friends who this moment were fighting for their lives...
"Let's go get her," he said firmly. But suddenly his world dissolved into darkness as a Shifter demon appeared before him....
***END VERY, VERY LONG RP!!!****

GREAT news everybody! I just heard that there WON'T be another "I Know What You Did Last Summer" movie!!! Yeah!!!
Sorry, but frankly, Hollywood has taken the whole teen-horror movie genre and just run it into the ground, through the ground, into the earth's core, and out the other side of the earth. Plus, I never thought any of the teen horror flicks other than Scream (with the possible exception of Scream 2) were any good to begin with, especially IKWYDLS (which should have kept it's original title, "Come See Jennifer Love Hewitt's Breasts").

Demona's Diagnosis: Glad everyone in here liked it. It isn't a professionally done diagnosis, mind you, but a basic one that lists her major problems. I wasn't nearly as detailed as I could have been. If I ever do decide to write the thing up, it could easily take a page or two, maybe more.
Oh, and interesting bit about the Paranoid Personality Disorder...in addition to being unjustly suspicous of others, the disorder is marked by the afflicted having a guiltless or blameless view of themselves...in other words, they do not see their own mistakes or faults, they blame them on others who "are out to get them". Does this fit Demona, or what? ;)

Deuce: Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce the lost Backstreet Boy, teen heartthrob Simon "Deuce" Crowley!!!
Oh, I'm gonna get it for that one! ;)

Sevarius' Age Thingy: Of course it was a disguise! The whole thing was an act, as we saw at the end of the episode. My dad merely changed his appearance so that Talon and the other mutants wouldn't recognize him, or trace him back to Xanatos. Plus, can you imagine what it would be like to inadvertently run into Talon looking the same? Sheesh, not pretty...

Don Karnage: I have to go along with most folks here in that I thought he was a fox. I mean, if you wanted us to know he was really a wolf, you could have drawn him a little differently...the reddish-brown fur didn't help much either.
I never was a big Tailspin fan. I loved DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, Darkwing Duck...heck, I even used to watch Gummi Bears every now and again...but I never could get into Tailspin. Maybe it was Sally Struthers....never liked her after she did those commercials with all the starving Ethiopian children, or wherever they were from, when she clearly weighed about 300+....

Lucas: I used to like him...until this movie began. Then I heard about the demands he made of the theaters....of the neverending hype machine that he has fueled since day one...to those damn Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut/ KFC commercials. I mean, yeah, the dog is cute and the chick is hot, but this is commercialism at its worst! Just make an entertaining film, George. And while I liked the new Star Wars flick...it wasn't entertaining enough!!!

My Appearance: Well, I'm about 6 feet tall, and I weigh...um...I'm a lightweight. For the NFL. ;) I guess I don't weigh that much, but like Tim and Coyote, I could be one mean muther on the football field, and that sort of gives me some pride. I mean, I'm a big guy, but I was blessed with my grandfather's physique. My grandfather, who was known to be able to pick up the front/back ends of cars WITHOUT a jack. Broad shoulders...but a bit of a gut.
I also have dark brown hair, green eyes, wear glasses or contacts (as the situation calls for), and have a slightly tanned complexion (I've been mistaken for everything from part Hispanic to part Persian--I'm none of those, just a bit Native American).
AND....this is the truly odd part....I was looking through some old Gathering pics from last year....don't laugh....I look a tad bit like our own illustrious Mr. Doug Elder. Not a whole lot, but, well, you know. Maybe I'm his clone, I don't know. :P

Christine> re your gripe, I think this is because the RP's follow events you see in video games. You don't generally see any kind of sex happening in video games. None that I am familiar with anyway. ;)

Bruce Willis > actually, he was in 'Armageddon' with Keith David ...

Fanfic Progress > to my surprise, I may have one done before the Gathering after all. 19 pages over the past two nights at work -- gawd, I love Harbor House!!! -- so it's within shouting distance of the end, but I still haven't been able to come up with a title.

Appearance > 5'9, what the fashion industry diplomatically refers to as 'plus size,' glasses, dark blond or light brown hair depending on your preference; will be travelling with a mustached dark-haired guy most likely always wearing a tie, and a pre-kindergarten bundle of energy; all of us pasty-pale because we live in Seattle.

~~ Bit of a gripe ahead ~~
Is it just me, or does it seem both ironic and unfair that we're not supposed to discuss sex except in the most clinical or vague of terms, but several posts a day include gruesome acts of torture and dismemberment? Violence is okay, sex is 'verboten' ... I get really sick of that.
~~ End gripe ~~

Airwalker> ok, whatever. I'm having a really crummy day, and I don't feel up to a response right now. Some of my ideas are based on a 10 pages and change version of the magic essay I posted last week, and since you haven't read it, I can't make myself clear at the moment. Some time after G99 it may be up on the Grimorium, and I'll try again.

The short form is:
Alex> we just disagree. I think he's destined to be a surprise to everybody. If it makes you feel better, an equally good rationale is that Titania felt his pull, but couldn't identify it. Then she followed the pull to the source, asking "who summoned me?" as in "who called" rather than "who had the power to pull me here."

Magic and Life Force> Faerie magic can't create life-force. Mortal and/or Dragon magic (which I think are related, but more on that later...) might be able to. If so, Demona's spell may have provided the life-force Titania needed.

About the captain and Haycon, They didn't have bodies, so they may have wanted Goliath's life to manifest physically. On the other hand, about 20 different people are involved in writing this thing, and they don't all agree as to how things work.

Meryt> whatever the reason (and the Dragon/Fey magic incompatibility is a good one), Apep was a cruel entity. He probaby had a pretty good idea what would happen. Meryt as a metal automation is easier to manipulate than as a living gargoyle. He could always hold out the promise of a true body as a hook. That she hasn't given in is a mark of her character.

Wait for my magic article and some of what I said earlier may make more sense. You still probably won't agree with it, but it will make more sense.

Thanks to all who answered my questions .

Alex's Power level - I do'nt see he has to be ultra powerful for a quaterling to summon Titania . Demona did it to Puck , I know that that's a bad example , despite the fact that she used a fey artifact and a heap lot of magic .
But I do'nt see why it's so big a deal since the only way Titania's power level could mean anything in this situation is if Titania fought him , given how quickly it happened I doubt that she would have had the chance .

Anyone know why the iron chains Demona used on the Puck did'nt burn him ?

Airwalker : I ca'nt say much about the Isis situation beyond what's been said already , but about the no-interference law . Oberon's a hypocrite and Titania has him wrapped around her little finger .

Coyote : Gee , what toy set have you seen ? I know most of the Spawn related toys are kinda sick , but alot of the other sets are wicked . Like the classical monsters with Frankenstein , and the Werewolf set , that one was just awesome . The Savage Dargon torn trench coat one was also really good .
The reason why I suggested it was for the level of detail that the figures Macfarlane has put out was far superior to alot of the old Gargoyle ones that I saw .

Good evening all

arming the Clan> I would not like to see them with weapons all the time. But if their in a battle or war ok.

This is a comment about the episode Vows. When Demona went back in time to 975 A.D. to take her younger self into 994 A.D. to show her what well become of her Clan. Anyway when young Demona went back into 975 she knew what well happen to her Clan. Probably every time she saw Goliath and the rest of her Clan mates she new what was going to happen. But she did not know the exect year this was going to occur. So probably thats way in 994 Demona tired to conince Goliath to take the Clan and the eggs away and to leave the castle. Also when Demona told her younger self that the humans did this she wanted the vikings to sack the castle. So probably from 975 to 994 it was a sad time for her because she knew what well happen to the Clan.

It's been really interesting reading the comment room this week. I'm going to comment on one thing and leave you all to speculate on everything else. :)

Why was last week's story called Aftermath 1 and this one Aftermath 2? And why was there a "To be continued" footer last week?

Answer: Aftermath occured the two nights following the battle in Manhattan. While the ramifications of the Unseelie War will be felt for some time yet, the focus for these two weeks was "home base".

Happy reading!

DAVID G - You wrote: "If the souls were already alive, and only needed receptive vessels as anchors, then she could do the soul transferance."

The problem is that I don't believe that the spirits, basically the ghosts of Coldstone and Coldfire had lifeforce of their own to be able to say that Titania just created two lifeless husks which there soul's ultimately brought to life. Don't forget that in SHADOWS OF THE PAST Hakon and The Captain were also ghosts and that to be alive themselves, they needed Goliath's lifeforce. This means that ghosts don't have lifeforce. So Titania basically created two bodies, completely alive with lifeforce of their own, but soulless. She filled those two living bodies with the spirits of the Cold duo.

As for Meyrt, you wrote: "What I meant was that she was so close to death that even if there had been a body to transfer her to, she wasn't strong enough to make the switch. The Dragon (Apep?) could bolster her life-force, so he could do it. That he chose a golem as the vessel was probably cruelty on his part."

But Coldstone was already dead when his spirit was originally placed in the Coldstone shell. And Coldstone and Coldfire were as close to death in AFTERMATH 1 as Meyrt was in THE SUN AND THE SERPENT 4 but Titania was still able to move their soul's to new bodies. So I find it hard to believe that if Isis had the power to move Meyrt's soul to a new body that she wouldn't do it.

As for Apep, he was trying to keep his part in the deal but his magic didn't interact well with the magic spell that Ra placed on her when he named her. The result of those two magics was that her soul was moved into a metal body. Apep didn't actually do it out of any cruelty. It's just that Dragon and Fey magic don't seem to mix well and gave us that tragic result.

ON ALEX'S POWER - I've read Fantastic Four and while I can see Alex on the same power level as Franklin, it still doesn't mean much against a full blooded Fey. Alex could be all powerful when compared against a normal human being but his power is still always only going to be 1/4 that of any full blooded Fey. The best analogy is if Alex is on the same level as Franklin then Titania is on the same level as the Ashema the Celestial from Heroes Return.

Franklin is almost godlike in power level against any human or mutant but against a Celestial, he's still going to be weak. (There is a difference also. Franklin could be considered a baby Celestial and thus he could one day reach the power level of a Celestial. Alex will never reach Titania's level of power. He can't even reach Merlin's level of power because Merlin still will always have more Fey blood in him.)

I just read Aftermath 2. Titania power> No big whoop. Coldstone was created not only of the three souls of the gargoyles but also body parts, thus the lifeforce was kinda there. (shudders) Course you must realize Othello and Desdemona have Ioga body energy in them if my theory is true. Ick what a sorry thought.

DOUG - I agree with you on the sports issue; I never liked it either when a program that I'd been looking forward to was delayed or pre-empted by a baseball/football/hockey game that would not end. It doesn't exactly give one the most enthusiasm for sports thereby.

(Of course, my home town of St. Louis tends to go overboard on sports in some ways. For a long while, it didn't have a football team and was constantly frantically trying to get one. Then it finally got the Los Angeles Rams, and the next day, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch ran in huge capital headlines "FINALLY FOOTBALL" - and immediately got lots of letters from indignant readers complaining about the way that it interpreted St. Louis finally getting a football team as an event deserving of the sort of headlines usually reserved for - say, the first man on the moon or the end of World War II. Then, more recently, there was the Mark McGwire overhype - the Post-Dispatch here would talk about almost nothing but McGwire, newspapers were even stolen off people's doorsteps when they covered his breaking the home run record, and then to top it all off, they renamed the Mark Twain Expressway after McGwire. I didn't feel particularly impressed).

Deuce: Thanks for that link. I have'nt laughed so hard in months.

Star Wars personality: I'm a Boba Fett. A solitary gunslinger who stays to himself. Hmm... I was planning on joining the Marines. Spooky.

Appearence: I'm a stocky, yet strongly built 18 year-old man. I have sandy-blonde hair and blue eyes. I weigh about 275+ pounds (I ain't gonna admit to any more. Besides, it's largely muscle, except around the gut) and 6'2". Earlier this year, I had my picture taken in my football uniform, the photographer said I look like a Marine Drill Instructer. Naturally, my mother was distressed at this.

GARGOYLES: There is a difference between Cartoon and Animated Show. Cartoons, as I said, are animated productions with unrealistic-looking characters. GARGOYLES certainly doesn't fall under that category. Yeesh!

THE GARGOYLES SAGA: AFTERMATH, PART II: First of all, whether, or not this Episode is the conclusion to this multiparter is in doubt, thanks to the mess-up last time. Clarification from the Staff, please, unless itd be a Spoiler?
Nikki's activities had me cracking up.
As for Owen/Puck, well, you people just barely got away with this. I'll say this for the Manhattan Clan and their acquaintances, they're survivors. Still, they can't always get so lucky. Sooner or later someone's probably going to perish.
As for collateral damage and casualties as discussed by others, which I only skimmed, I'm putting imput in, even though I may not have gotten the full conversation. The beginning objectives of the battle didn't hold much for widespread collateral damage. England, London, I'm not so sure of in terms of vehicles and the like. Of course, sweeping your opponents apart, and pursuing them opens up capture well. Which happened. Lucius Adrians probably got away.

Elisa-What I was pointing out, Kitania, was that her relationship with Goliath is peripheral to her real character. Maybe not to parts of the series, but definately not to her. Its certainly not core, though, like too many people seem to think.

XENOGEARS: The names are Kahran Ramsus and Emeralda, to the person who spelled them wrong.
Kitania-Talk to Queen Zephyr to find out what happened to Kahr. Besides Kahran Ramsus, there are some other hidden scenes, but I'll leave you to find them. Presuming you already haven't.
Also, Hammer didn't really betray anyone, he just didn't think he had any choice.
Doug-I read the reply you gave to Sevarius Junior, I believe it was, on your life, so I pretty much figured out Kitania was a close friend of yours, if not a girlfriend.
With that aspect out of the way, I wasn't asking for a paper, I was asking for an opinion. Oh, well, it seems I got one anyway.
FINAL FANTASY IV had an okay Ending. The other Endings are complete, in their own manners, so there's nothing to protest there. While I'm on that Series, a side comment to the person who mentioned the seventh Game. It wasn't a disappointment, but it was no masterpiece like FINAL FANTASY TACTICS. That's my favorite Game in that Series.
Back to Doug.
So you've played the BREATH OF FIRE Series. Check out Mieu Sedai's Breath of Fire Fanfiction Page for a ton of Fanfictions. Mine's there, as is my second-favorite Story currently, REBORN AGAIN. My first favorite Story is obviously XENOGEARS. I have no address, so you'll have to use a Websearch. Or try http://www.ecstasy.simplenet.com and work from there.
Again, all Endings for each of the Games are complete.

Final Comment For Now-I do not see Matthew Bluestone as the type of having a girlfriend that is everything to him. Yiy! We need some serious character reexamination. He would have plenty other aspects of life with no one ruling. Friends and family first, of course, but I don't see anyone as being everything.

**RP HERE**

The screen comes on, to reveal the Big Bird still under attack by TIE fighters. Doug, Jammer, and Shap shoot down several and Big Jake uses a chicken maneuver to make two more crash into each other and explode, but these are quickly replaced. "Darn it!" Kitainia yells. "We're never going to get to Ruth at this rate. If only...hey, that's an idea!" She immediately grabs the radio and contacts Agent Rho. "Rho? It's Kit. We found Ruth, but now we're under attack by some of the TIEs flying over Chicago. Can you get those Super Star Destroyers to spare us a little air cover, please?" "Sure," Rho says. He calls the Planner and soon it fires off a storm of turbolaser blasts that take out all the TIEs attacking the Big Bird. Jake breathes a sigh of relief and continues his descent towards Aurora. As he watches the skies from his turret in case of more fighters, Doug makes a CR post.

**END RP 1ST BIT**

Hi. Time for my first post of this week. :) So far the week is going alright. My new job at Domino's is going well. Have met a few idiots (today one guy walked in and asked me if the place was Pizza Hut. When I told him no, he left), but haven't yet had any real problems. The manager is a nice guy, and so are the other employees. Except for a couple of our delivery drivers, who are a little strange. One of them reminds me of Kramer (from Seinfeld), the other of Vinny. Hope they don't do anything really weird during the summer. <fingers crossed>

Fanfic Progress: "Innocence" is coming along nicely. I'm currently in the middle of the story, right before the scene where Kenny is being introduced to Brooklyn, Sata, and the twins to be exact. Getting closer to the swordfight, and the end. Hope the fic turns out well. :)

Nascar: I don't watch it myself. Never been that interested in sports. Especially when my favorite shows get postponed or cut because of them (that makes me mad).

**BEGIN SPOILERS/COMMENTS ON AFTERMATH 2**

I enjoyed this episode a lot, despite the fact that we still missed out on seeing many results of the Unseelie War I wanted to at least catch a glimpse of (Richard's mourning of his brother, what happened in Caledonia, London, and Prague; what the bad guys are up to, etc). The plot was nice, and all the good characters were developed well. I especially liked seeing Othello and Desdemona's interaction with the rest of the clan, the scenes with Goliath and Elisa, Emrys's interaction with Fox and Alex, and Xanatos's trying to deal with his life without Owen. That last thread made for some great scenes and lines (my favorite was "Fire that guy. Ambition is good in small doses, but he's after my job!"). The Nicole St. John subplot was interesting and entertaining, if a little cliched. She and her producer (whose name is familiar) were both developed well. I'm among those who are glad Owen's back, and liked seeing his ressurection (though I do wonder how he'll explain his death). I think he made Alex restore him in a cool way, because it not only brought Owen back but helped Alex develop his speech at the same time. Good duality of purpose. The pic of Alex was also very well-drawn. This was a good fic altogether, I give it a 7/10. Everything else has already been said.

**END AFTERMATH 2 SPOILERS/COMMENTS**

Arming the Clan: I think I agree with the majority of people in here that this should not be done. A fight is generally more interesting and exciting if the bad guys think they can win with the big guns and all but the good guys are still able to beat them by relying on the weapons they have. The gargs who need weapons already have them, pretty much. The rest are good fighters without weapons, so it isn't much of a problem. I think some kind of body armor would be a good idea for the gargoyles, though, and plan to give it to them in my fics.

Ari and Emrys: That could be interesting to see. I doubt it will happen, though. Ari strikes me as more the type to fall in love with her own species. Wonder who her mate will turn out to be.

Aaron: There's a site devoted to Don Carnage? Cool, I'll be interested to see it. :) And IMO, he was always a fox. But he could have been a red or maned wolf too. <shrugs> I don't know.

Unseelie War Casualties: Stephen, Airwalker, and other people have already both made good points about this issue. I think I'll just be happy with the way things turned out and if I think anything should have been done differently, I'll do it with the Unseelie..er, Apocalypse War in my ficverse.

The Gathering: I too hope we can come, thanks to all who are praying for us. Look forward to seeing you there. :)

To absent friends. <returns toast>

SJ: Good analysis of Demona. Man, she's even more messed up than I thought she was. <grin>

TRC: Welcome back! Hope you don't have any more DC woes soon.

Titania's Power: Now that Airwalker's mentioned it, I too am a little surprised that she was able to "give life" to Coldfire and Coldstone. But good arguments have been made for how she was able to do it, hope we soon find out her plans for them, if she has any. :) As for Alex's power, I too was a little surprised he was powerful enough to summon Titania, but maybe his relationship with her helped strengthed the call, as well as her motivation to respond. so the summoning worked for me, but I really hope he doesn't start tossing around a lot of powerful spells. I've never seen Alex as a really powerful sorcerer in child form (his sister from my fanfics, yes, but not him!). Instead I like to think of him as a wizard-in-training, who has lots of potential but is still learning the ropes as far as spellcasting goes. Until Alex gets older, I think his magical power level should continually reflect this.

DumlaoX: Glad to see you back, and that you had fun at the prom. Good luck on your remaining exams. $ As for your RP character, we haven't done much with him since you've been gone. He's been upgrading our equipment (laser-sharpening Stephanie's sword, giving the Road Moccasin the same kind of perpetual motion engine as you gave the Onslaught, and so on), but not really doing anything else. Kit and I haven't done anything onscreen with T-Loco that I can recall, probably because we don't know her character that well. Anytime you want to jump back in and pick up your characters again, please feel free.

Durid: We know about that Queen Zephyr and Ramsus bit in Xenogears, we're wondering what happened after it. (Did he ever redeem himself or not?) It sometimes annoys me when you play a great videogame all the way through and then because of the short ending leaving stuff out, you have to make up part of the aftermath (I hated seeing this in FF7, FF3, the BOF games, Parasite Eve, and a few other games. With Xenogears, it was so-so. The endings for some RPGs (such as FF2, Metal Gear Solid, a couple others) were complete and cool, but those games' numbers have been on the decline lately and it upsets me. A great game should have a great ending worthy of it, IMHO.

I too wonder about the Kaiser and Rico. That's a major unresolved thread Xenogears left behind. They also never tell you what Hammer tells Elly during the escape from Nortune (or really do much with how he was motivated to betray the party and join Krelian, that was a confusing disappointment). I agree with your least favorite moment, though I am glad that in the parts she is involved in Elly does great things. Your favorite moments of Emeralda growing up (and turning out so dang cute!) and the Elements going Power Rangers are also neat.

Oh, and btw, Durid, his name is not Gramere. It's Graeme.

That's all for tonight. Later!

**BACK TO RP**

The Big Bird lands in a backyard in Chicago's Aurora suburb. A certain pair of long-haired twentysomethings (yes, before anyone asks, it is Wayne and Garth!) stand on the backporch with their jaws wide open. "Aliens are invading the Earth!" Garth shouts as he and Wayne watch Jake and the Ravens get out of the plane. "And some of them are serious babes!" Wayne adds. The two immediately give Kitainia and the rest of the female Ravens their special salute. "SCHWING!!!" "Hi, guys," Doug says to them. "Loved your movies. Can you watch our plane while we go find our friend?" Wayne and Garth salute. "Sure, alien leader dude!" "Your jet should be safe," Doug tells Jake. "Come on, let's go find Ruth." "I have Kit's bike on remote locator," Gubio says. "She's two blocks away." "Good luck!" Wayne and Garth call to the Ravens as they run off.

Just stopped by real quick to point out somthin. Coldstone was orignilly brought back to life by human magic. Well, Demona's magic, but it wasn't fay magic, it was human magic. In the recent story Titanya regenerated them with fae magic. Maybe it has something to do with a mixing of magics that allowed it?

Aaron & SOROW> Great, some more people I'll meet in person.

*scans over last few days*

Star Wars Personality test? Where is that, I missed it.

Arming the Garg debate> Heheh, I was the one who (before I became TGS) suggested that Gramere raid the Eyrie toolshop for some iron ball berings. I can see both sides of the argument, winning battles realistically with better guns. But it's hard to write for chacters with lots of weapons without focusing on the weapons too much, and loseing the chacters in the armory :). Just wearing extra armor alone can affect a change in chacter. People wearing armor feel a little invinciable, and are actualy willing to take more damage than they normal. If you were wearing a flak vest, would you be willing to step in front of a bullet and get some broken ribs?
No one who learns to actually use a weapon is unaffected in some way. Just learning how to use a numchuck can get one to strut around and show off his skill some. And anyone who doesn't know how to use a weapons shouldn't be carrying one in the first place, anyone rember the Xena episode where Gabrielle tried to get Xena to teach her how to use a sword?
***minor fanfiction spoilers***
-oh well. I am addmintly doing something of this 'arms race' in my Soul Reaver series, hope I'm pulling it off without safricing the chacters. Sharon and her Bioelectricty, enhansed senses, strength, and wings is one thing, the first episode I did with her was basically her trouble dealing with that. But Fugit.... well, the main drive behind his chacter (for the time being anyway) is that he was given great powers out of the blue, and now he is wondering what the <censored> to do with them, if anything at all. In the mean time, trying to date Demona passes the time :).
***end spoilers***

***a moment of silece for Bones McCoy (sp?). He will be missed.***

David G.> I'm sorry, whatare hardsuits?

Aaron> Gundam? And here I thought I was fairly familiar with arms and armor.

Describeing myself> Hmmmm. Well, if you want the unflattering one - the 6' 200 pound white male with a slight beer gut, a few pimples on his face, glasses, straight blond hair, and hint of whiskers (can't find new blades for my shaver, and don't want to take the time with a razor). Probably wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt. Hmmmmm, think you'll recnogize me? Maybe I should get that costume made, or at elast a T-shirt with Demona airbrushed on it.....

Robby> Yeah, technically Gargoyles is a cartoon, but only technically. Get offended at it when people call it a cartoon and set them straight! It's a great conversation topic and it spreads the word that Gargoyles is very diffrent from Animaniacs, or even Batman and Superman! Sure, the ignorant think your weird and perhaps immature, but.....

Xenogears favorite moments: Hard tosay, I just liked the enitre thing, how one event lead to another, and puzzinling out the diffrent things. Any single scene about it though... I would have to say the part when Esmeralada 'grows up', :) 10 second puberty, gotta love it! Oh, and when I first saw the Elements combine into one gear, I couldn't stop laughing! Oh, and Does anyone know how you get the Kraiser to find out that Rico is his son!?!?!? Or another secret, this is the one area under the lighthouse (where Big Joe has his store) that I can see behind this fenced off area, if I jump (from Joe's store, take a left and go through the gate). It also looks like the small door there has a passage behind it, is there any way to open that door and get into that area?
Least favorite moment: Once agian, hard to say. Probably the fact the Elly is barly involved in the last half of the story!
Kitainia: You can find out what happenes to Ramesus (sp?) and the elements. In the Snowfield hideout, find the snow-covered area, go to the oppsite end of where the kid and the Chu-Chu are slideing (where a fat guy says "Oh Quinnie, blah blah blah). There is a slight ramp on the unfuctional leviating stone that you can walk up. It will lead outside to where Queen Zephyr (sp?) is. Talk to her, may need Citian in your party.

Sevarius Jr.> Heheh, I alawys said I wouldn't be surprised if Demona was used as a hyoptical case study in Psychology 101!! Contact your psychology teacher and see what he thinks! I bet it ouwld be interesting.

The Rolling Calf> Why did Servarios looks 80 when frist shwon, thenmcuh younger after his faked death?> Did anyone ever Ask Greg this? *shrug* Perhaps he tweaked his own DNA afterwards. Maybe he just used make-up to enhanse his acting, he is an overactor afterall.

Hmmm, quick note about Titania cloneing - remember, as Anastia she learned about science and became a scientist. If any Fey could clone, she could. And you don't need liveing cells to clone, though it helps.

Exin: Visited your site. Something is wrong with the links to your pics.

Mary Flanders> Heheh, I can relate. Hope you do someday find someone who makes you happy.

Aris and Jakel> Can't really say anything that hasn't already been said. Except: Aris, you wre a stablaizing force in this CR, something we need in this aslyum. Jackel, though I found many of your post immature and offensive, they were interesting (with the possible exception of your last **** filled one). I hope both of you come back.

Robby> Seems to me that the people at the International Channel didn't even bother to watch any episodes of the series before giving it a rating... probably assumed it was the same as the Americanized DBZ series. In all honesty, though, I think I like our version better.
(BTW, I've never heard of that network- is it satellite or cable?)
And, how do you pronounce HFIL? :)

Austin Powers> I actually thought the first movie was a hoot. :) This second one, though... ugh. I got maybe three laughs out of it. Tops. Did not like.

Doug & Kitainia> Here's hoping you get to G99. :)

And now, for something completely different:
Christopher Reeve, go!

Christopher Reeve was in "Superman III" with Richard Pryor who was in "See No Evil, Hear No Evil" with Gene Wilder, who was in "Young Frankenstein" which was directed by Mel Brooks, who also directed "Dracula: Dead and Loving It" which had Clive Revill who did the voice of Kickback in "Transformers: The Movie," which also starred Frank Welker who did Bronx and other voices in Gargoyles.

(Okay, I admit I used the IMDB on that one. ;)

I'm not dead, just... in stasis :P

OK, seriously, I wasn't here for quite some time. About 2.5 or 3 weeks in fact. Why? Many reasons I suppose. For one, I did go to that prom with Alison a few weeks back. Still haven't gotten the pics yet but I should once Alison comes back from Russia. Also, I was studying for finals like mad. In fact, I have one more final in about an hour & a half so once this post is up, I'm hitting the books one last time. And, honestly, I just needed away from the room for a while. Wanted to regroup myself, think clear, and start fresh again. So, here I am. Now to touch on a few things I missed.

AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME-- Saw it opening day. I got a free Launch CD and a poster for the film too (always check the movie websites before you go to a movie. You have no idea what you can score there.) I might be in the quiet majority here in the room but I loved the film. Immensly. Better than the first one, in fact. The first one had to grow on me before I liked it. This one I just loved right out and I do plan on seeing this again, along with Star Wars. Sure, the jokes were crude and there was one immensly gross scene, but for a movie to handle such humor it did it well (as opposed to some other films, namely Very Bad Things, that try to deal in the gross humor but fall flat). Forego the story, characterization, etc. Realize that this is a movie made of one-liners and 40% improvisation. A very funny one at that.

PIRATES OF SILICON VALLEY-- Actually, I have a tape of this film. I was able to score a copy of the film at a used video and CD shop here in LA. An Emmy copy to boot. Trust me, this film is wonderful and actually does not portray Gates as Hitler and Jobs with the bomb called the Mac. In fact, Gates is portrayed as a poker loving nerd unlucky with women and Jobs as an ex-hippie with a love child that had a killer instinct for business. But look at your computer history. Yes, Gates stole the GUI design from Jobs but Jobs took it from Xerox. Xerox desined the mouse and GUI interface we all use now, but the executives were short-sighted on what they had. Had they known what kind of weapon they had, we all might be using Xerox computers instead of Macs and Winclones.

FLAME WARS-- Again we get another flame war and 2 people leaving. Why doesn't anyone remember the rules established here when I was running the place? Better yet, why doesn't anyone learn to just get along?

TARZAN-- Reminder, if you see it this opening weekend, save your stub and hit the Disney Store for a free Tarzan poster.

RP-- Say, guys, what went on with my character in the RP so far? And what about T-Loco? Wondering so I can join the RP again sometime soon.

RP WEBSITE-- Oh, give me time after the finals. I'll continue work on it then.

WEBSITE-- Planning on having one of my own shortly. So if anyone has any DexDrive saves for the PSX or N64, send them my way. Something NOT on the DexDrive site please. Thanx.

SUMMER PLANS-- What do I plan on doing? Website work, playing these games I never finished, finding time to spend with Alison, kicking it with my people, playing these ROMs I always seem to collect but never play, finding a job in a hospital, and whatever else comes to mind :)

QUAKE 2-- Anyone know of a good server where I can hone my Deathmatch skills? Or of a place where I can find servers running deathmatches? Just got the game (finally) and I need to play. Thanx.

Till next time... A test awaits.

Deuce: No problem....how were you to know the WWII Overlord was lurking? j/k I've made guesses at memories that were less than accurate too, don't worry about it!

Karnage/SOP: I will, in my personal mind, always consider Karnage a fox. But for writing TaleSpin Fanfics with the rest of the High Flight crew, in our goal to continue the series, we call him a wolf. Precident's set.

As in Gargoyles...in Cyrway & my ficverse, Goliath dies in the Clone Wars. Elisa gets mutated, brainwashed, and then killed. If they did that in TGS, I'd be bothered...same with garogyles carrying guns...because of the radical change from the precident. Same with doing something like Dylan Blacquiere's Newf-goyles. Not that these ideas aren't good or valid--they are--but they belong in alternate ficverses, not in continuations of the series, faithful-to-the-precident series. IMHO.

Airwalker> OK, you did better research than I did. (Probably cause you weren't trying to do it at work - while you were supposed to be doing something else - but I don't know for sure). My earlier post wasn't meant to be a definitive answer in any case, I was just raising possibilities in order to provoke a discussion (which I seem to have done).

I'm on break now, so I'll try to be a bit more logical. There are three main things to clear up.
Cold duo regeneration- I guess the reason this didn't bother me as much as it did some people is that I'm willing to assume a lot more. I think Demona's original ressurection spell had more effect than just bringing back their spirits. Somehow those spirits were able to be anchored to something that should never hold them (first Coldstone's body, then the robots). Also, those spirits have moved around a lot, which also might have an effect.

The bodies Titania created may not have been 'alive', but neither was the decoy body Owen and Alex created, and neither were the robot gargoyle bodies of Coldsteel and Coldfire. However, if the souls were already alive, and only needed receptive vessels as anchors, then she could do the soul transferance.

Meryt's soul being damaged takes a bit of explaining as well. I really didn't state that well. What I meant was that she was so close to death that even if there had been a body to transfer her to, she wasn't strong enough to make the switch. The Dragon (Apep?) could bolster her life-force, so he could do it. That he chose a golem as the vessel was probably cruelty on his part.

Alex's power- I stand by my statment on this one. I think the fact Alex could summon Titania was SUPPOSED to run counter to our expectations. If you're a Fantastic Four fan, think about Franklyn Richards, who at 8 is potentially the most powerful mutant on earth, and maybe powerful enough to shake the universe. He's not supposed to be powerful enough to summon a full blood Faerie from Avalon, he does it anyway.

Titania's nature- You left out the last half of my quote. I don't have any real evidence, it's just a hunch. It's not even a hunch that I'm very sure of. However, if Titania is a dragon, that's no reason Oberon and Madoc wouldn't be enamored of her. Humans and Gargoyles were traditional enemies, but Goliath has Elisa, and Demona had both Macbeth and Nostradamus (sp?) as friends. Montagues and Capulets are traditional enemies as well, but that didn't stop Romeo and Julliet. Slayers and Vampires are diametrical enemies... Need I continue.

If Titania is not a Fey, even if she's also not a dragon, it does explain a couple of things. One, why Oberon never uses his magic on her (of course, unless Oberon really likes sleeping alone, he can't be too heavy handed with Titania), and two, it gives the TGS staff an easy out for that whole Cold Duo thing. Like I said, though, there's nothing concrete to back it up.

Thanks for your reply. I've been giving this rebirth thing a lot of thought ever since I realized I hadn't accounted for it in my magic essay - you know, the one I thought I'd finished on Monday. That was before I remembered Dragons and the Dreamtime. <sigh>

DAVID G - You wrote: "Maybe the lesser fey can't, but Oberon and Titania are stronger. Maybe the Egyptian Fey were just
lying, or wrong."

It's true that Oberon and Titania might be stronger than the average Fey but even they are bound by the same natural laws that govern all Fey.

"She can't" Isfet said as she came to. "Her kind can't give life, just as mine can't take it."

Her kind. Not just Egyptian Fey but all Fey. That means that no matter how powerful Titania is, she still can't give life.

I wouldn't say that the Egyptian Fey were lying. Meryt was a faithful servent of Isis. Isis did care about her fate as is shown by her thoughts when she was joined together with Uraeus. If she could have created a new body for her and moved her soul to it, she would have done it. But she didn't. All she could do was stand to the side and watch as Brooklyn begged for help and then Harthoth made a deal with Apep.

You wrote: " I think the idea here is that little Alex is supposed to be frighteningly powerful."

By human standards, I can imagine Alex as frighteningly powerful. But against Titania? No matter what his best is, he's always going to be 1/4 Fey. Merlin is a Halfling and even with his full power returning to his through an act of his own will, he still couldn't stand up against the full power of Madoc. Alex has less power than Merlin and Titania is about in the same range as Oberon and Madoc. So how could he have been able to summon her?

You wrote: "Titania may not have 'given life' just transfered existant lifeforce to created, otherwise dead, bodies. Meryt's problem is that her soul, as well as her body was damaged."

But weren't Coldstone and Coldfire just soul's bound to mechanical bodies? So what lifeforce could they have? They are basically ghosts. Hakon needed his ax to be able to remain on the earth plane in VENDETTAS. They needed their unliving bodies to remain on the earth plane. By creating new bodies for them and placing their soul's in them, she must have given some sort of life to those bodies because Coldstone and Coldfire just wouldn't have the energy for it. They are ghosts, nothing more.

As for Meyrt, she was mortally wounded. Her soul wasn't damaged. She just happened to have been under a spell of Ra that didn't mix well with Apep's dragon magic. But Isis and Ra both had Fey blood so her magic might not have caused such a reaction. If Isis could have worked her magic on Meyrt, she would have. She couldn't because the Fey can't give life.

You wrote: "I don't think Titania is one of the Fey. My only reason for this is that in Ill Met by Moonlight, she was not affected by the iron bell that half killed Oberon."

When the Bell was ringing on Avalon in ILL MET BY MOONLIGHT, Titania and the Weird Sisters weren't effected by it because they weren't in the area at the time. She vanished after Oberon left to hunt Goliath, Angela, and Gabriel. She reappeared after Oberon was defeated by the bell and the Princess named her terms to Oberon.

Also as far as we have been shown, Fey and Dragon's are enemies. I doubt that Oberon would fall in love with a Dragon or that Madoc would spend 10,000 years dreaming about taking a dragon as his Queen.

BAMF!

Okay, I'm back. Now to finish my replies.

Wilek> Actually, agents make lousy hostages, because it's policy not to negotate for their release.
As for your buried standing up idea, there was a british guy who proposed that back in the 1880s. He was generally ridiculed as a mad man.
And I only meant AP:SWSM grossed more money on it's opening weekend then SW:TPM did that same weekend, so don't go after Austin.

Mary Flanders> I *liked* your rant on weddings. I feel the same way. Not that I'm planning on it, but if I ever did get married, I'd go to Vegas, and find somewhere where Elvis performs the ceremony, and I can shoot up the place afterward.

Stormy> Don Karnage is a wolf? Not to dis the creator's input, but if DK was a wolf, why did he have reddish fur and a big poofy tail?

Entity> Actually, I'm rooting for Austin Powers to make more money then Phantom Menace so Lucas will realize that he can't just slap out anything and expect to make money off it. I hope he wakes up and makes a worthy prequel next time.

Gunjack> I've seen that list (I think) in the top ten lists on the fanfic page. I just don't know the author.

Today's example of Lucas' meglomania: I was talking with the owner of the little collectables shop where I buy movie posters, and he told me that he had no Phantom Menace movie posters because when Lucas released the Special Editions, he wanted $35 a poster from the distributers up front. They didn't pay, and when Lucas sold the posters in Europe, the distributers sent people who got the posters for about fifteen bucks each and sent the back to the US.

So Lucas, having been burned on that one, decided not to give the distributers any posters when Phantom Menace came out. And he's supposed to be charging the theatres a thousand dollars if their poster doesn't come back at the end of TPM's run. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Later.

Aaron kicks open the door of the CR, wearing his trenchcoat and sunglasses. He spots DC, pulls an 20mm Vulcan cannon from under his coat, and turns DC into a bloody smear.

Hey, if people wanna believe the worst about anyone who dresses like this, why should I disappoint them? Besides, it's raining here. Lotta replies to do, so here goes..

Robby> I always thought Talespin was set in that quasi-20s-30s time that all Agatha Christie novels are set. As opposed to the Batman:TAS time where it looks like the 30s, but they have better then modern technology.

Todd> Your memory must be better then mine. All I really remember about the D&D cartoon was that Venjor had one horn, and that the unicorn was why they couldn't go home.

Kitainia> Well duh. As a gargs fan you should know that day shift is always less weird and stressful then night shift. And Waterworld was probably on that walk of shame.

SJ> Demona: Paranoid, with a side of PTSD. But we love her anyway, don't we?

SOROW> <Demona, Goliath, Elisa, and Angela in the same room with some sense of calm> Who says it'll be calm?

Okay, bosses are back, gotta go. More replies later.

Sorry if I'm bringing you folks down. I'm in a bad spell right now ...

Kitainia: Here's hoping you guys *do* make it.

TRC re: MacFarlane Gargs toys: No. No. Nonononononononononono. I definitely would not want to see MacFarlane Toys do Garg toys, basically because of their past efforts. The only ones that I really liked that MacFarlane has done were the X Files figures (I gave my mother Scully and Mulder for Christmas this last year). The other figures they have put forth have been up there on the grossness level ... most of the Spawn toys, for instance. I would be *frightened* to think of what MacFarlane would do to our guys.
Oh, yeah ... thanks for the new Six Degrees. I'll put it on the page soon, I promise.

Jaden: << Have you ever thought about something so bad that it made you depressed? >> Every day of my life ... **fixates briefly on the candle's flame, sighs, then continues**

Wilek: Genuflect, verb: to show respect by bowing, usually in the presence of authority figures, royalty, and deities.

The jacket: Don't worry about me, guys. If I get too hot I'll be taking it off ... besides that, it isn't *that* thick of a jacket (it's fairly thin). I've been planning on taking it with me on the trip for a while.

**sigh** Probably more later tonight when the room fills a bit more ... **sadly fixates on the candle**

Nicodemus> I basically agree that the Cold Duo got off too easily, but I have a few counterpoints.
1- The fey can't give life> Maybe the lesser fey can't, but Oberon and Titania are stronger. Maybe the Egyptian Fey were just lying, or wrong.

2- Alex summoning Titania> I think the idea here is that little Alex is supposed to be frighteningly powerful.

3- Titania's power> There are a couple of points here. First, Titania may not have 'given life' just transfered existant lifeforce to created, otherwise dead, bodies. Meryt's problem is that her soul, as well as her body was damaged. Second, and this is way out there, I don't think Titania is one of the Fey. My only reason for this is that in Ill met by moonlight, she was not affected by the iron bell that half killed Oberon. Mostly it's not even that, it's just an intuition. What if Titania were a Dragon in Fey form...

Just thought I'd pop in for a moment before heading off for work today. I wanted to talk about a subject that's been going around the comment room for a while: namely, the ColdDuo's resurrection at the hands of Titania.

I'm not going to start up the debate again about whether the idea of the resurrection was good or bad (though I'm more on Airwalker's and Aris' side on this matter; the thing was poor drama and a little too 'easy'). I was more interested in voicing some thoughts I had on this matter in line with some of the stuff Airwalker's just been mentioning.

Airwalker's pointed out some troubling 'incongruities' in how Titania achieved the ColdDuo resurrection:

1) In this case, Titania is _directly_ using her magic on mortals. For one thing, that's against Oberon's Non-Intervention Edict, and I imagine that even Titania would have problems explaining this one to him. For another, the whole episode seems to not be her style. Titania, even when she was helping someone, always seemed to want to take a circuitous route, staying behind the scenes while her magic worked its course. The ColdDuo resurrection was too blunt and direct a use of magic for it to fit with Titania's character.

2) Titania's actions here also contradict what Isfet was saying in "The Sun and the Serpent - Part 4" about how fay can't give life. The body parts in Coldstone were not simply dead, but 'petrified'. Therefore, Titania had to bring said body parts back to life before she could even think about cloning the cells in them.

3) The transference of Coldstone and Coldfire's souls to their new bodies contradicts the stuff we saw in "Possession", where soul transference had to be _voluntary_. And yet the ColdDuo, being comatose, couldn't possibly have been capable of giving their consent to the transference (even though they probably would have been falling all over themselves for it). So it should have been a lot more difficult for Titania to transfer the souls to their new bodies.

There's also the question mentioned by someone else earlier about how could it be possible for Alexander to draw Titania to him from Avalon, especially when he's only one-quarter fay (a 'quarterling'), while she's one of the most powerful full-blooded fay on Earth? It just doesn't make sense.

It all makes me come to one of two conclusions:

1) The TGS staff _really_ needs to keep track of the physical laws already made and the ones they make for the TGS Universe (i.e., they seriously dropped the ball on this one); or,

2) The person who resurrected the ColdDuo wasn't Titania at all; merely someone else disguised as her. Remember, she was only at the castle for a little while; the mystery person would only need to look and sound like Titania, not act too much like her. If this is true, it would seem that someone else has already begun spinning webs of intrigue around the Manhattan Clan...

ROLLING CALF - You wrote: "Maybe they were referring to the soul more than the flesh when they were speaking of "life". So maybe she wasn't giving life, just manipulating the life she had to work with and building on it."

That does make sense but it still leaves one question. If Titania could so easily manipulate the soul's of Coldstone and Coldfire (drawing them out of their bodies and creating new bodies for them) then why didn't Isis do the same thing for Meyrt? Isis and Titania are both Fey. Isis had more reason to want to save Meyrt. But instead of drawing out Meyrt's soul and then creating a completely new body from a piece of Meyrt, all she did was stand around quietly like an idiot and stare at what was going on while Brooklyn and then Harthoth were forced to cut a deal with Apep.

Titania is powerful but we shouldn't forget what Puck said in POSSESSION: "Soul transferences are tricky and require voluntary participation." Where was the tricky part? She removed their souls, created new bodies, and put the soul's there. It was too easy. Puck had to go through a lot of trouble to get everyone in individual bodies in POSSESSION. Here Titania waves her hand and everything is made better.

If there is a rule that Fey can't give life and that Dragons can't take life, then there can be loopholes. But how can what happened with Coldstone and Coldfire be considered a loophole? She actually created living bodies out of dead organic stone-like material.

Besides, I always saw Oberon's non-intervention law as a way to make everything more interesting AND to remove the temptation for someone to want to just have a Fey come in, wave his or her hands, and make everything all better. Not only did Titania give life (which contradicts what Isfet said in THE SUN AND THE SERPENT 4) but she also broke Oberon's non-intervention law. She can't interfer in the lives of mortals, not directly, even if Alex is standing there looking at her with puppy dog eyes. What she did with Elisa and Demona is indirect work. But with Coldstone and Coldfire, she was working her magic directly. Let's not forget, she's not Oberon. She can't just go and say "My decree's are MINE to interpret!" She has to work around the law as much as the Weird Sister's have to.

*****DC Death******
Dis Connect fumbles with his door key, his shaking hands complicating the task. Finally, he manages to get the door open, and, casting a worried glance around him, quickly bolts into his apartment. The reassureing *thunk* of the deadbolt resores his sense of security,
and he manages a wicked grin as he begins planning his next strike.
“Let’s see, who’s next on my target list? Hmmm..... Wilek is up again, but the damage has been done...” He shudders briefly as he remembers the repercusions of THAT job. “Same
goes for Fluer... and Valentine shouldn’t recover for... Uh, oh!"

On the screen, a single word flashes next to Valentine’s name. Connected.

With speed borne of desperation, he grabs his emergancy pack and sprints for the door. He hasn’t yet gotten a visit from the Gunjack, but if the other CR members are anything to judge by... Better not to chance it. Gotta go gotta go gotta...

He almost makes it. With a muted *shakashakashaka*, a burst of silenced autofire rips through the door and stitches a ragged line across DC’s chest. Pain lances through his
body as he sinks to the floor, and he recognizes the specific ragged agony of a gut hit.
Several, actually.

A second burst rips out the deadbolt, and Gunjack Marius Valentine strides into the room with a H&K MP-5 SD3 dangling from one hand. He quickly takes in the squalid
conditions, then turns his attention to the wounded hacker at his feet.

“Well Mr. Connect,
I can’t think of anything to say to you that you haven’t heard a million times already, so let’s just get down to business.”

Valentine grabs DC by his collar, and drags him onto the couch. From out of his pocket come two syringes, each loaded with murky liquid. He holds them up for DC to see, and continues. “You’ve screwed my connection to heck and gone for the last three days, thereby cutting me off from one of my two sources of entertainment. That is unforgivable.
Now this needle here,” -He waves one of the two in front of the hacker’s eyes, and inserts it into his arm- “This one contains a nervous accelerator. Basicly, it amplifies any sensation by a few orders of magnitude.” Instantly, the ragged pain in his chest blossoms into a hellish blast of unimaginable suffering. Gunjack smiles coldly. “Feels good, aye? Well, just wait. THIS needle contains a drug that will slow your perception of time to one eigth normal, so you’ll have about-”a quick glance at his watch, “-two hours of subjective time to enjoy this little foretaste of the pit. Enjoy!”

DC is now curled into a ball, his voice cracking as he screams in agony. Valentine slips a gag over his mouth, and walks over to the computer. Removing a cable from another
pocket, he plugs one end into his neural interface and the other into a port on the modem. His eyes flicker rapidy, and in an instant he is transported to the CR.
*********END DC DEATH***********

Okay, just a few quick responces here cause I need to get to bed.

Coyote> <<look for the guy built like an ox suffering from heat prostration wearing a Michigan State Band jacket>> Zath is right, buddy. Wearing a jacket down here is asking
for a case of heat-stroke. I avoid going outside AT ALL in the afternoon, because the sun is murder, and heavy clothing is right out. Seriously, people, stick to light stuff and save yourself a trip to the emergancy room.

Wilek><<Thank the powers that be for fanfic. >:)>> Well said. <<Heh...my ficverse's plans *require* the deaths of *most* of the major characters. Just a few charged plasma
shots to the Eyrie's major structural supports will take care of the whole matter...>> So does mine, although I prefer a more personal touch than long range energy blasts... Still, differant squids for differant kids. Oh, and sorry for getting you and JEB confused. The text color was the same, and the comment seemed to fit you pretty well...

The Rolling Calf><<Hudson - Gangstrer rapper . Can you imagine him holding up his hand palm in , hiding his thumb and going "WESTSIDE!!">> Heh. <g> Now, if only one
of our more artisticly-inclined clan members could come up with lyrics to go along with this image... Hey! This would be perfect for the filking at the Gathering!!!

Sorow><<Thank you for noticing! Brooklyn's got the smallest nose in the free world!>> Who holds the "smallest nose" record in the enslaved world?

SJ - Nice job on the psychoanalysis. Of course, I know about as much about psychology as I do about nuclear physics, but it still sounded pretty good. :)

Kitania><<Unseelie War: I agree that the series may need a rating change, and that it should have made the Unseelie War a little more of a deadly conflict. But TGS is still
good the way it is, so I'm not going to be mad at the writers. Hope they keep doing a great job, even with the limits they've placed on themselves.>> I suppose that’s a good enough anwser for me...*Whew!* guess I won’t have to right that rant after all... Still, it would be nice to see an increase in harsh realism...<<Doug and I will probably arrive on my Kawasaki motorbike (the Road Moccasin)>> *Valentine switches into Homer
Simpson mode* Mmmm... Motorcycles...<g> I’m still trying to convince my parents to let me get one of those...

Robby><<Unfortunatley, I don't have a Playstation. I got a Saturn back when it was the better system for RPG's and had some great Sonic games coming... Of course, all the good
Sonic games and RPG's got cancelled, and latter Final Fantasy 7 would hit Playstation releasing a flood of others... Ah well.>> Want mine? I bought it for FF7, and was a little disappointed. I still say the best FF game is #2... Also, who is Demona May, and does she
have any other pics on the net?

Duece - Yet another proof of the advantages of homeschool: no idiots to screw you up. Of course that means that I have noone but myself to blame for spending the last three schoolyears reading fics instead of studying... :P

Argent><<[Top 10 List of Things Screamed at the TV] Can we have the link for that list?>> Sadly, that particular post (and a thousand others like it), was a resident of
www.castle.net, whose ruins form the foundation of gargoyles-fans.org. Castle.net had a large archive of story ideas, top-ten lists, songs, and other cool stuff, but nothing other than the fanfic archive appears to have survived to the present day.

Also, I hear that we’re supposed to describe ourselves. Well, here goes...
I’m 5’ 9”, 205 pounds, w/ brown hair and blue eyes. I’ll probably be dressed in suit pants and shirt, sunglasses, and carrying an attache case or a bulging black notebook...

*Valentine glances at his watch and pales*

So much for a quick post!!! Well, I’ve got five hours until I’ve got to get up and find outwhether I’ll make the Gathering or not. Craptical. C yall...

A lot to catch up on once again, and I'm tired, so apologies in advance if I miss anybody or get confused ...

Weapons for the clan: They do need to upgrade, at least a little. I remember shaking my head at the TV show when they would take a savage beating through the whole episode and then pull a rabbit out of the hat at the last minute and save the world. Gargoyles are supposed to be superior fighters, but they're almost always outclassed by their opponents. They end up fighting cyborgs and mutants and scumbags like the Unseelie, who can rip them to pieces or just fry 'em with a burst of energy. It's a miracle that any of them have survived this long. When your enemy cheats while you play by the rules, you don't have a chance in hell. A series that's supposedly as realistic as possible (within certain guidelines, of course) should address this point. You know the saying about fighting fire with fire, after all ....

For instance, Elisa should get her hands on an EMP generator so she can just zap Jackal and Hyena before they each can grab one of her ankles and say, "Make a wish ..."

Elisa turning into a gargoyle: Bad idea. The whole interspecies-relationship thing is what makes this couple interesting. Sure, they'd probably be happier if both were gargs (or both human, whatever), but if that happened, they'd be just another happy couple. Their romance has a lot more complications as it is right now, and that's what creates good drama.

Doug: You got a job at Domino's, eh? Well, if you're a cashier, you should be pretty safe. You'll get a few idiots and whackos coming in there, but nowhere near as many as you'd encounter if you delivered. Which is a good thing, because otherwise you'd end up with the same impulse control disorder that I have. :) **Draws a gun and kills DC ... just for the hell of it.**

Coyote: (re: NASCAR races) The only reason I'd watch this is to see the crashes. As George Carlin once said, "Where else can you see a twenty-three car pile-up and not be *IN* the son of a bitch?" :)

Would someone please kill Sil Sludge for me (the more slow and painful the death, the better), because I just don't have the energy to do it myself right now. I would have posted a large portion of this last night, but I suddenly took ill with what seems to be a case of food poisoning (my mom and I both ate the same thing and we both got sick within about the same amount of time of eating it). I started feeling really nauseous about halfway through reading the new episode and was projectile vomiting mere minutes after finishing the story. I'm feeling a little better now, but still not wonderful. : (

Aris and JackaL> Neither of you should leave. Remember, we're a clan. Are you going to disown your family just because you don't get along with your brother? I think you two should just shake talons, agree to disagree, and then roost on opposite sides of the castle for the next month or so.

Robby> The Talespin page was interesting, and it mentioned some things I hadn't thought about before, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to change my opinion that Kit was the most annoying character on the show.

Stephen "Coldstone"> <<I tried checking all of the yes answers and all of the no answers at once to see what results came up>> Interesting, I did the exact same thing last night. <<can we see that one? Just for chuckles and giggles?>> I'll put them both up on my web page (along with a lot of other stuff) as soon as I get a scanner, but I don't know when that will be (soon I hope).

Pistoff> Cool beverage page. I think I'd like to try the Rat Bastard Root Beer, it sounds good. For some reason (maybe it's all the times they mention the amount of food coloring) it reminds me of that episode of Rescue Rangers with the cult of soda-worshipping mice.

***** SPOILERS AND COMMENTS FOR AFTERMATH 2 *****
Is the "small town back in Southern California" an allusion to Buffy or to the Lost Boys? I liked the Nicole St. John sub-plot, personally I thought it would have been funny to see her wander into the genetics R&D section and get turned into a chihuahua mutate or something. I especially liked the funeral scene. It was very emotional. However, I have a problem with the way Owen/Puck was brought back. Why couldn't he have made the key to the spell some word he knew Alex could pronounce? Now that Owen is back, how is he going to be able to go out in public after officially being declared dead? Will he have to come up with some lame "oh that was my identical twin" type of excuse? I have visions of him dying his hair and pretending to be Preston Vogel... : ) Also, how long will it be before Emrys notices who Graeme is constantly e-mailing?

***AUSTIN POWERS 2 SPOILERS***

I thought it was hilarious! I agree that the beginning had some faults, which I too immediately picked up on and decided I didn't like (namely, the revelation that Vanessa was a fembot and Austin's glee after she's dead). Felicity Shagwell had a humorous name, but that was about it... Also, this film was less of a spy spoof and more of a generic spoof. But that didn't detract from its enjoyability. I was laughing throughout. Yes, there was the disgustability of Fat B-word, but I was able to get through his segments with my stomach in stable condition.

Incidentally, does anyone else think it is rather pathetic that this movie has already earned a gross that is only behind Episode One's initial gros by ten million? The film that has benefited from the SW hype is Austin Powers, not Ep 1!

**RP!**

[The battle rages on in Eisner's throne room. Argent and TRC shout a warning to SJ and Wilek about something behind them, but it's too late, for Wilek at least--with a deft jerk, it throws the gargoyle across the room and into one shadowed wall, knocking him unconscious--and much worse, if the crack of breaking bones and the blood running from his mouth are any indication. SJ looks on in shock, then turns to the creature that did this, summoning a Pokemon to destroy it. He then makes his way across the room, killing ghouls and monsters as he goes, hoping against hope that his friend isn't dead. Meanwhile, in the absence of its earlier target, the wisp TRC summoned now goes after SJ, whispering in his ear. SJ: "Shifters? What are those?...Oh. Sounds bad. It's almost dawn? That's great; tell TRC that if Wilek survives until dawn, he'll heal and turn into a human--what? Eisner has some kind of protection against the sun? Oh <censored>..."]

**PAUSE RP AND BEGIN SERIOUSLY TWISTED DC TORMENT**

[For no apparent reason, Mr. Disconnect finds himself in a very, very dark room. But he can see just enough to realize there's someone else here. DC: "H--hello?" Wilek <evilly>: "Greetings. You've been busy." Wilek steps into the light and holds up a data pad. "Here, I have records of multiple transgressions, both single acts and long-term modifications to software. Item: You froze my computer yesterday, making me unable to save a CR post I was composing, totally erasing it. Item: You programmed, into the Nullsoft MP3 player Winamp, a flaw that necessitates a system restart after a certain number of executions of the Play command, rendering playlists and the repeat function of limited value. Item: Your prevention of CR dweller Fleur Rine from reaching the CR for an indeterminate amount of time. Item: You froze my computer while I was composing an e-mail, causing the unsaved portion of that e-mail to be lost. Item: You later *sent* that same e-mail before it was finished. For these crimes...your suffering will be legendary." Wilek gestures, and chains with hooks on the ends reach down from the darkness and hook into DC's wrists, lifting him from the floor. Wilek: "By the powers vested in me by the chaos and insanity of the Clan of the CR, I hereby condemn you to eternal death. So it is declared, so let it be done!" Wilek drives a row of spikes through DC's arms, drives a pair of knitting needles into DC's eye sockets, drives a row of nails into DC's spinal column, slices open DC's thorax, sticks an array of pins into DC's heart (after removing the sternum), weaves a webwork of steel wires into DC's intestines, and drives a large screw into DC's skull. Then, for some reason, he begins connecting all the metal bits to each other, via a network of fine steel chains. He then retrieves a live wire with a small clamp on the end. DC whines, knowing what Wilek's about to do. Wilek: "Oh, do shut up." Wilek puts down the electric wire, retrieves some more fine metal cable, and uses it to stitch DC's mouth shut, then connects that cable to the rest of the metal array, then retrieves the live wire and proceeds to connect it to the screw in DC's skull. Electricity courses through all the torture implements--not enough to kill him, but enough to put him through unimaginable agony. Wilek: "In case you haven't realized it, I plan to leave you that way for all eternity. Have fun."]

They drag DC off into an adjacent room, and we hear whimpers, shrieks, and giggles... then silence. **>> [Wilek just stares in stunned silence for a few moments, then has a fit of helpless convulsive laughter.] And I thought I was messed up! Dude, you are SICK! <<Star Wars Personality Test: I shorted it out.>> After a DC death like that, you have the nerve to be surprised?! :P Oh, and that Star Trek/MST thing...ack. Just, *ack*.

Stormy> <<personally I prefer thinking of him as a fox, but what can you do?>> If what the author/producer/whatever says is in conflict with what is actually shown, then the latter takes precedence. So you can go right on thinking of him as a fox, if that's what you want. TV shows exist primarily to get us to use our minds and, sometimes, to draw our own conclusions about what we see. As fic writers, we can do just about anything we want with the canon material, even going so far as to flagrantly violate the canon timeline of events if we bother to stick an 'alternate universe' label on it. Besides, you ever see a reddish wolf with a white tail-tip? Neither have I.

Batya> <<story plans precluded the deaths of any major characters.>> Heh...my ficverse's plans *require* the deaths of *most* of the major characters. Just a few charged plasma shots to the Eyrie's major structural supports will take care of the whole matter...

Rev. Atilla> $<<He then genuflects at the site of the Virgin Mary>> Er...genuflects?$ <<I have an assault rifle autographed by Charlton Heston. I usually shoot at GB with it, when he won't get me caviar :)>> Kewl. How do you do that without opposable thumbs? :)

Argent> <<Maybe I should just learn Japenese.>> I wouldn't recommend it. I don't know much about Japanese, but it looks like an *exceptionally* difficult language.

Robby> Hm, interesting DBZ site. I had no idea they cut so much. And I thought Disney mistreated Gargoyles. I can understand some of the cuts (to DBZ I mean), though--after all, it *was* being shown on the Cartoon Network, in an afternoon timeslot.

Kitainia> <<My favorite episodes usually involved Thembria in some way, Spigot and Thunder were hilarious>> Dunder, actually. Spigot's accent *does* make him hard to understand. :) <<That's nothing to be ashamed of, I always thought Boba Fett was cool.>> Odd bit--in the first draft of Star Wars, Darth Vader pretty much *was* Boba Fett. There were also all kinds of other changes--Vader wasn't related to Luke and Leia, Luke and Leia weren't related to each other, Chewie was an amphibian instead of a mammal, Bespin was an Imperial prison, etc. Oh, and darn near everyone had lightsabers. That is something I've borrowed for my own purposes. >:)

Kaioto> <<Hm...you like to torment poor characters, eh? For some reason I always found it easier to kill off my own self-character in a story than any of the others. I find it agonizing...yet I can inflict untold suffering on projections of myself...weirdness...>> >:) Twisted minds think alike. You ever read my fics? I've put my own character through the most awful stuff, and I'll probably continue to do so. Heh. (BTW, for some reason, the "..." things you typed showed up as little black squares in Notepad. Are these special characters of some kind?)

SJ> Wow. I knew Demmy was twisted, but I had no idea. I wonder how my own profile would read. :) (On second thought...)

TRC> <<Could someone please tell me why when we first saw Anton Sevarius he looked 80 , and then After his "Staged" death looked 30-40 ?>> Um...not sure. I always figured the older look was just a disguise. What I want to know is, why did he seem to have a slight German accent before he 'died', and not after? Yet another aspect of the disguise? <<Is'nt this still showing on Toon Disney ?>> Yes, but only in reruns; they're not making any new eps. <<What would it take to get Todd MacFalane to do some extremely high detail , light-up-eyes , colour-changes-in-the-sun Gargoyle toys ?>> Truthfully? Rather a lot. First, it would take convincing Disney that Gargs is worth committing that much money to. I'm afraid they haven't thought that for years. Secondly, you'd have to keep the Disney execs away from any and all Spawn figures, since they'd decide that anyone who does figures like *that* shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a Disney licence. I mean, these are the ppl who cut 'Deadly Force'. They don't see things like that the way we do. If these things were accomplished, they'd have to actually hire MacFarlane to do the figures. It would probably take a lot of money; see the first concern. So it's possible, but unfortunately unlikely. :/

**RESUME RP!**

[The black shuttlecraft containing Anoth and his friends is now in sight of the Chicago invasion fleet. Jake: "Hey, who's that down there?" The others go to the window to see, and notice TIE fighters attacking a hoverjet. Jake: "Those aren't the Avatar's TIEs, and I don't have a clue who that jet belongs to. Think we should see what's going on?" Anoth: "Hm...in any other circumstance, I would, but we have other matters to attend to. Maintain our current heading."]

****NO RP TONIGHT****
I am just sooo tired right now. It feels like today was actually two days rolled into one. Have you ever thought about something so bad that it made you depressed? Well I thought about a lot of things like that today, but I was able to fight it off.

****EPISODE SPOILERS****
I knew it! The way Alex acted toward his fuzzy I thought that something like that might have happened. I wonder if Emrys is going to stay anyway.

Robby- most people being Obi-Wan. Maybe it means that we are all going to disappear when we die. Or like Obi-Wan, there is more to us than people might think.

Well, I'm off to sleep, rest, dream, wonder, whatever.

Mary: Sorry, girl-friend. I was just concerned ... I know sometimes you come in and are really distressed about stuff and I never was able to help. So this time I figured I might at least field something non-crisis, and (inevitable) stick my foot in it ... ah well, live and learn ... sorry bought that ... just over reacting I guess. I just remember everything with your sister etc and how upset you'd been and how useless I'd been in those couple of times and oh hell nevermind me :P ...

Kioto>relax, this was just a dream where my "Daria" side was coming out. :P Man, why is it that nobody laughs at my jokes? *scratches her head* Course one of the reasons why I'm not terribly romantic does have to do with my upbringing. I actually have it better then my freinds. All of their parents are divorced and fight and neglect their kids. I just have married parents who are too old to have a sex life (52, 54). Plus they were both major geeks in high school. My mother used to be chunky and lived in a really stupid town. She kind of found all things romantic to be kind of...well...mooshy. She's actually exactly like Daria. My dad was a airplane nut and loved physics. Our life isn't very bad at all. We just have a really wierd sense of humor and I for one like to try and gross people out on occasion. :P Several times I asked my parents why they got married, and my mom keeps saying, "It was a slow Saterday!". And when I ask my dad he says he's too old to remember. We're not your typical American Family. As for the part of getting shagged rotten, I'm just using that word because I saw Austin Powers and I think it's a funny word. :P So relax!

SJ- A fun filler for that particular phrase I often use is "Oh SPIT!" Another fun thing to use is "What the HFIL?" TRC- The WB will not have a second chapter of Invasion America. Ratings were terrible apparently, and the second time they showed it, the cut two episodes and squished the last three in to one. Always a bad sign.

Corpses are buried laying down mostly because its easier to dig the hole that way, and there may be a religious reason behind it.

Sevarius looked 80 at first because it was a desguise to fool Derek into thinking he was a crazy old man. Also, like the mutates in that episode, the character designs were rushed, and nobody was happy with them so they were improved later.

Todd McFarlane would do that for a lotta money from Disney. SO unfortunatley, it'll never happen.

Darkwing Duck theme- Sure. (Clickie!)

Oooh, answering alotta questions in a row is fun! I wanna do it again!

**DC DEATH**(well . . . not really )
TRC is seen sitting over over in the middle of the room chanting , makeing writhing motions and pouring spoons of a peculiar smelling lizuid over a small object that he occasionally lifts up over his head . After a few minutes of this he gets up , smiles over at DC who has been watching the whole display suspiciously . He then lift up the for DC to see . DC gazes at it in apparent confusion , then his face contorts in pain and he falls down as his leg is apparently twisted 720 degrees , for some reason he is unable to scream , looking up he sees that TRC has twisted the leg of the Voodooo doll in a similar manner , DC then noticed that the doll's mouth was sewn shut . TRC then drops the doll onto the floor and grinds his heal into the doll's midsection and watching DC's torso fold in on itself . TRC then goes outside and ties the doll to a car tire whithout the owner noticeing him while she stops at a light . After watching the car move off to make sure that the nots hold for at least a while , he reentered the room and watches for half a minute as DC's body is continuously crushed flat , at which point he turns and makes his post .
**END DEATH**

Greetings folks . I am now convinced that a higher power somewhere does'nt want me in here , might have something to do with the exam that I have tomorrow , as I was cut off three more times during more storms and twice more in some random events .But I _will_ post everything that I started on before . So without further adue . . .

6 degrees - Bruce Willis , GO!!
Bruce Willis was in 5th Element with Chris Tucker , who was in Friday with Ice Cube , who was in Anaconda with John Voight , who was in Most Wanted with Keanen Ivory Wayans , who was with Salli Richardson in A Low Down Dirty Shame .

Gargoyles Alternate careers :
Hudson - Gangstrer rapper . Can you imagine him holding up his hand palm in , hiding his thumb and going "WESTSIDE!!"

Fox or Wolf - School bus driver .

Lexington - Football team Mascot . "The Gremlins"

Oberon - Public servant , cop or Garbage man or Gardener . (I'd just like to see him get taken down a notch or thirty .)

Anubis - Rodeo Clown .

Tim P. : Careful . Some people would rather be safe than sorry . So make sure to stay from people in fancy suits hanging around in unsavory neighbourhoods ; people you've seen on the news and of course , anyone you see with a silver briefcase . They say agents make good hostages . Smart move avoiding the IRS shirts too , now THAT would get you tarred , feathered , suspended and beaten like a rug from The Addams' household .
Shirts like that would have no market down here . Anyone who bought one would be killed if they went downtown , Rema or Tavalli .

Aris/Jackal - Peace be the journey guys , wherever it leads you (hopefully back here).

Star Wars personality test - I'm supposed to be Luke Skywalker . HAH yeah right .

Does anyone happen to know if the WB is coming out with another chapter to Invasion America this summer ?

This may sound kind of morbid , but does anyone know why corpses are buried lyeing down instead of standing up ? We've been haveing a little trouble with landspace out here of late and I have'nt been able get any sufficient reasons yet .

Could someone please tell me why when we first saw Anton Sevarius he looked 80 , and then After his "Staged" death looked 30-40 ? Was it supposed to be brain taping like in Christine's fanfic ?

What would it take to get Todd MacFalane to do some extremely high detail , light-up-eyes , colour-changes-in-the-sun Gargoyle toys ? I'd by the whole set .

Exams - I have 4 more exams to do with multiple papers for each of them . Needless to say I do'nt get off for quite awhile yet . July to be specific , oh well , at least it wo'nt be humid .

SJ : Never got my E-mail did you ?

Tale Spin - Is'nt this still showing on Toon Disney ? I really enjoyed this show too , right up there with the rest of the old Disney line up . If memory serves the name of the town was Cape Suzette(s/p?) . I always thought that Don Carnage was a jackel .

Speaking of the old line up ,
Robby : Think you could find the theme for Dark Wing Duck . Ca'nt remember if this one has been requested before although I do remember that we had alot of talk about it a few weeks ago , so if you did , sorry for the trouble .

Airwalker : I remember someone was saying that There was'nt enough of coldstone to make two whole gargoyles . Well if we assume Titania did something along the lines of cloning then there should have been more than enough genetic material to work with , and since the cold trio made up the stone sections of the cyborg , you have to wonder , what happened to the pieces that made up Iago .
Maybe they were referring to the soul more than the flesh when they were speaking of "life" . So maybe she was'nt giving life , just manipulating the life she had to work with and building on it .

Seargent Demona - The very first instant I heard "Fresh meat ." come out of that fanged mouth while she's looking at the new recruits I will be out of there faster than a drug dealer who's caught wind of a raid .

**RP**
TRC looked over at DMW Wilek who was similarly shackled to ground below Eisner's thrown . Thaey had both been stripped of their weaponry during their earlier fight , Calf had also drained his energy in a blast that was responsible for decimating a particularly large Shifter demon , but had left him open for every other caste in Eisner's hierarchy , both higher and lower , to take him out with little trouble . Dark Mage had been severely wounded by said demon when he'd turned his back to shout instructions to Calf to leave the throne room , that had left the demon open for Calf's attack . DMW had been slipping in and out of consciousness ever since .
But now as they watched the others fought a battle that they , simply put , did'nt have a chance of winning with the present odds . Calf turned his thoughts to the weaknesses that the members of this particular horde had in commmon . The answer was quick in comeing . Eisner . He had to be what was holding those blood bonded to him captive and those who should not have access to the plane firmly anchored there . His teammates were no fools , he noticed that a familiar looking person he had not recognised as part of the team was slowly working his way towards the throne , he also noticed the sorceror that had aided Eisner in summoning the shifters making his way towards the figure who Calf now recognised as Walt Disney .
There was no way to break free under his own power , "But ," he thought , looking back at the Lieutenant who had been asigned to guard him , "this guy looks fairly captivated ." Concentrating , he muttered a summoning spell under his breath and a small wisp appeared in front of him and began to flit back and forth in front of his eyes curseing agitatedly . "No I do'nt expect you to stay long , I just need you to deliver a message . Tell the Gargoyle that Shifters are in the shadows , that Dawn is near and we have no idea how the sun here will affect him or our enemies . But we do know that the sun wo'nt affect Eisner , either he's too strong or he has some form of protection ."
The wisp flashed brightly and flitted from side to side avoiding creatures that would be able to sense it . Calf gasped in horror as he saw an arm comeing out of the shadows towards SJ and Wilek's unguarded backs . He heard Argent scream a warning to them , followed closely by his own .

****AUSTIN POWERS APOILERS****
I was actually pretty disappointed with this. There were some parts that I will give credit to, but not many. Some jokes were just pure disgusting and others were really lame. I still think Mike Myers should make a Wayne's World 3!

Wilek & Zath> Thank you for noticing! Brooklyn's got the smallest nose in the free world!

David G> Actually, I agree with some of your Aftermath deaths. I feel that a character's death is always a good path to strong emotions and great development in a story.... as long as the character is killed off with grace. I'm thinking that Hudson is pretty good not to even get hurt through the war!

****AFTERMATH 2 SPOILERS****
I knew Puck/Owen wasn't dead! Though it would have been more realistic to keep him dead, the explanation was excellent! I'm glad Emrys is opening to the clan. Finally, Angela and Broadway are going to get official! It will cause some great scenes for Goliath and Demona. Just think, Demona, Goliath, Elisa, and Angela in the same room with some sense of calm! But poor Lex! This will only make him feel even more alone... I hope he and Liz get some serious interaction. A wonderful ep!

Hey folks, I thought you all might like this. I got bored tonight, so I decided to pick up one of my old psychology textbooks and...well, do a diagnosis on our favorite psycho, Demona. Remember, I'm no professional, but off the top of my head, here's the diagnosis and the disorders I came up with.
(From DSM-IV)
AXIS I: 309.81 Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (Chronic).
This stems mainly from the multiple disasters she's seen in her long lifetime, initially beginning with the destruction of the Wyvern clan.
Criteria: A) Exposure to a traumatic event in which: 1) she experienced, witnessed, or was confronted with the event that involved actual or threatened death or serious injury and 2) her response involved intense fear, helplessness, and horror (this can apply to many things in her life, but the Wyvern destruction was the initial cause).
B) The traumatic event is persistently reexperienced in: 1)Recurrent and intrusive recollections of the event, 2) intense psychological distress at exposure to internal or external cues that symbolize or resemble an aspect of the traumatic event 3) recurring distressing dreams of the event (I have no real proof of dreams, but I suspect...)
C) Persistent avoidance of stimuli associated with the trauma and numbing of general responsiveness: 1) efforts to avoid thoughts, feelings, or conversations associated with the trauma, 2) feeling of detachment or estrangement from others, and 3) restricted range of affect (e.g. unable to have loving feelings....personally, save for Angela, I don't see a lot of love in Demona's life).
D) Persistent symptoms of increased arousal: 1)irritability or outbursts of anger, 2) hypervigilance, and 3) exaggerated startle response.
E) Duration of disturbance is more than 1 month (more like 1 millenium...)
F) The disturbance causes clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
[Also, on a side note, she may be suffering from an Adjustment Disorder, in essence failing to overcome the trauma.]
AXIS II: 301.0 Paranoid Personality Disorder
I won't go into quite as much detail as before. Criteria: A) A pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others such that their motives are interpreted as malevolent.
B) Does not occur exclusively during the course of Schiphrenia, Mood disorder with Psychoit Features, or another Psychotic Disorders
Also, 301.7 Antisocial Personality Disorder
A) There is a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15 years. (I'm guessing at the age, although she certainly seemed a bit antisocial in her teenage years.)
AXIS III: General Medical Conditions.
Transformation from Gargoyle to human
AXIS IV: Problems with family (Angela, clan)
Problems with scocial environment (she hates humanity in a human controlled world).
AXIS V: Global Assessment of functioning.
Rating-(previously) 10--Persistent danger of severly hurting self or others.
Now--20 Some danger of hurting self or others (Angela has mellowed her a bit)

There you go, a very basic, simple diagnosis.

Well, that's all for tonight folks. Hope you liked finding out how screwey Demmie is! :)

Mary Flanders: Weird dream thing. Even more interesting commentary though … Girl-friend, you’ve definitely got some issues to settle at some point in your life. I’m not talking down or anything. I’m just saying that some things in your life have obviously had a negative effect on your world view. You’re not crazy or anything, but it seems (not that it is any real analysis) that you’ve been given a lot of crap, and – while coping with it has made you strong – it may also take away a lot of the simple, deep joys of life. I’d recommend finding someone to talk to about how you feel at some point in your near future. It definitely won’t hurt, especially in dealing with relationships later on.

As for the sexuality thing, I think you've just been exposed to the pathetic drivel in our culture so long that you take the lowest common denominator for granted. You’re husband (or any kind of life-mate) should not be “shagging you rotten.” It should be a shared intimacy backed by a lot of trust and commitment so you can BOTH give, share, and enjoy. But the first step is finding the right guy, someone you can trust and be comfortable with. Finding someone truly special is always a positive influence on your world view, and healing to one’s psyche. I know that from experience *smiles and looks at Lexy*

I’m not talking anything negative here. I’m just trying to be sensitive and supportive. We are clan here, and this is kinda what clan does for one another. My strengths generally lie in sensitivity and concern balanced with reflection and problem-solving. I’m just trying to help, ‘cause I get the impression that sometimes, in your life, it seems like everyone is just making things worse.

Bayta: Hm … you like to torment poor characters, eh? For some reason I always found it easier to kill off my own self-character in a story than any of the others. I find it agonizing … yet I can inflict untold suffering on projections of myself … weirdness …

Stormy: You know. Your flying fascinates me in a way. I know friends who ride horses, fly planes, and other things I never really considered, but upon reflection think of as amazing personal experiences. I feel a longing to find something like that for myself. When I reflect on that I realize it has been so long indeed since I’ve sang. So I wonder, do you feel, when you fly, like everything that ever bound you has melted away for a few minutes, and your entire existence is just one moment? Just curious ...

Deuce: Drama class, huh. That is definitely sucky to fail. I always hated group work in High school because the slackers killed you.

Well, that’s about it for tonight. Later.

**START RP**

The Ravens are headed for Chicago, flying at high speed aboard Jake's Big Bird hoverjet. Jake and Doug are sitting in the cockpit, with Kitainia behind them. All three are watching the skies as they cross the Iowa-Illinois state line. "So you know where this girl's going, right?" Jake asks. "I mean, at the speed she was going she'll be almost at Chicago by now and we couldn't track her on the bike, so..." "We know," Doug says. "Ruth's last name is Potter, right?" "I think so," Kitainia says. "We don't know her mother's name, though." "Oh," Doug slaps his forehead. "Great." Jake shrugs. "Looks like we'll have to trust our luck. Your bike's pretty distinctive, I think we might be able to fly over the city and spot it from the air." "That's a good idea," Doug says. "Alright, we'll do it. Thanks for flying us in, Jake." "Hey, no problem. I just wish Jess wasn't still in a coma back in Crown Point, she could probably find the girl faster because she knows more about this jet's instruments than me." "She'll be alright," Kit assures him. "Let's get to Chicago and find Ruth, then we can get back to Crown Point and check on her." Jake nods and keeps flying the plane, while Doug heads for the back cabin to talk to the others and Kit makes a post.

**END RP FIRST HALF**

Hi everyone. Today was a pretty good day. I worked the day shift at Blockbuster instead of the night shift. They say the customers are less crazy during the day. So far, it looks like that's true, because not one customer annoyed me. No stupid dolts, no angry people who raged at me about some movie I've never heard of not being out on video yet, no one who asked for my advice on what movie they should buy and used it as an excuse to start an argument. I just stood behind the counter and checked a bunch of people out without any problems. I think I need to work day shifts more. <grin>

Wilek: <That made me wonder if dragons and Fey were once the same species, and somehow separated into these two very different aspects.> Interesting theory. Could happen, too. Hmm.

Paul: Hi. Glad to know there are more Xenogears fans out there besides me and Doug (and why shouldn't there be? It's one heck of a great game!). Here are my answers to your earlier questions-

Favorite Moments: Fei and Elly's first meeting, the tour of Nisan Cathedral, Fei's defeating Rico at the Kislev Arena and then rescuing him from death, Fei and Rico joining forces with Elly to stop the Hecht from blowing up Nortune, Billy's confrontations with Stein at Zeboim and the Ethos HQ, the deaths of Nikolai and Erich, Fei and Elly's kiss (the whole scene), Elly's rescue of the party when Krelian's crucifying them, the final battle, and the end.
Least Favorite Moments: Dan's fight with Fei at the Aveh Tournament, Id's attack on the Yggdrasil Sand Cruiser, Hammer's betrayal of the party and subsequent attack on them after Krelian turned him into a cyborg monster, Ramsus's assassination of Cain, Elly's posession by Miang, and the last scene with Ramsus. (I hated that scene because we never got to see what happened to him and the Elements after it. I also heard a rumor that you could get Ramsus to join your party, and was hoping it would come true because I liked his character and Gear. <sighs> Oh well.)
Theme: Never looked for a theme, but I agree with you that it's probably what it means to be human and alive.

Oh, you may remember Doug's Gargoyles/Xenogears characters comparison from a couple weeks back. I was playing the game today and decided that maybe Talon would work better as Rico than Broadway (with some of the clones as Rico's three male subordinates and Delilah as Suzarn). What do you think?

Elisa: I don't think she would be happy as a gargoyle either. I also recall something Greg said once about how her and Goliath must stay as human and gargoyle because the central point of each of their characters is their species. I think it would be nice for Elisa to become a gargoyle, but the relationship between her and Goliath is more intriguing thanks to their differences, so it's also okay the way it is. And IMHO, it still has lots of development potential.

Jackal, Aris: I agree with SJ and just about everyone else about your argument, and share the hope that you will not leave us. Please put aside your differences and come back soon.

Talespin: I too enjoyed this series. Don Carnage and Shere Khan were great villains; Kit, Baloo, and Rebecca made good heroes; and the show generally had interesting, well-written, and funny plots. My favorite episodes usually involved Thembria in some way, Spigot and Thunder were hilarious. Wonder why they never wrote an episode with the air pirates, Baloo, and the Zembrians all competing for the same object. It would have been fun watching their personalities play off each other as they fought.

Fleur: Glad you're doing okay, hope you are able to soon resume your earlier posting rate in here. Good luck with your remaining exams.

Mary: A Boba Fett type? That's nothing to be ashamed of, I always thought Boba Fett was cool.

Buffy Episode "Earshot": Very good and emotional story. Well-written, with nice plot, character development, and dialogue. I'm so glad Doug found it yesterday. :) Please everyone click my name and go see it if you haven't already. It looks like WB won't be showing it or Graduation 2 anytime soon (just remember you have to use Internet Explorer to make the ep come up).

**BEGIN SPOILERS FOR AFTERMATH 2**

This was a good episode. I enjoyed seeing Nicole St. John act like the cliched corrupt reporter and get tossed out of the Eyrie Building. Hope she's learned her lesson now. :) It was also good to see Owen come back, I really liked his character. Liked the way he was brought back, too. The episode also had a good plot and nice character development on Emrys, Xanatos, Fox, Alex, and the clan. Cool pic of Alex and the fuzzy, too. I wish we'd seen Richard's reaction to George's sacrifice, and the results of the other clans' battles. Maybe next week....<fingers crossed> I'm also wondering what all the bad guys are up to, hope we find out soon.

I give the episode a 7/10. Everything else I wanted to say about it has already been said.

**END SPOILERS FOR AFTERMATH 2**

Unseelie War: I agree that the series may need a rating change, and that it should have made the Unseelie War a little more of a deadly conflict. But TGS is still good the way it is, so I'm not going to be mad at the writers. Hope they keep doing a great job, even with the limits they've placed on themselves.

SJ: Trust me, Austin Powers is pretty much, to use your words, a "complete piece of &*(^." Doug and I didn't go in expecting a good plot or characters, but we did hope that they had improved since the first movie (in some ways they had, in most they hadn't, <sighs>), and that they had learned that they didn't need all the gross disgusting jokes the first one had. <sighs again> Didn't happen. Oh well. Since you like that kind of humor, hope you enjoy the movie.

Aaron: Jarjar Darth Vader's first victim? That is a great idea! Hope it happens. :) BTW, I saw a cartoon in today's paper that had the "Hollywood Walk of Shame." It looked just like the Walk of Fame except it had stars for all the movies and stars that stunk. Yes, Jarjar was on there. So were the new Godzilla, and a few other things I can't remember right now. I thought it was a good cartoon.

Batya: Glad to see you back. How was the honeymoon? Hope you start that Archetype series again soon, I enjoyed reading it. <grin>

<returns the toast> To absent friends!! Hope they soon return to us!

Descriptions: Doug and I still aren't totally sure if we'll be going to the Gathering are not (chances are good that we will come, but we still won't be sure until next week). Just in case we do go, since it is very probable, here's our recognition data:

I'm a twentyish Caucasian female, about 5'10" tall, athletic build, chestnut brown hair, blue eyes. Doug is a twentyish Caucasian male, chubby build, 5'11", dark blonde hair, blue eyes, glasses. He kinda looks like Richard Harrison with a mustache and beard. Doug and I will probably arrive on my Kawasaki motorbike (the Road Moccasin), both wearing shirts with gargoyles on them. (He'll wear the one he got from the Gathering last year, I have a custom T-shirt with Demona on it that I want to wear. Doug will wear his Security hat, too. We'll both probably also be carrying black duffel bags.

Hmm, nothing more to respond to. Later, everyone!

**BEGIN RP SECOND HALF**

The Big Bird reaches Chicago airspace just as Kit finishes posting. Almost immediately, a squadron of TIE Fighters break off from the huge battle between Teruda's fleet and Wilek's two Super Star Destroyers. The TIEs begin attacking Jake's hoverjet, and he is forced to do some fancy flying to avoid their blasts. "Darn it!" Jake yells as a laser blasts ricochets off the jet's rear shields. "Get some people on the guns back there now!!!" Kit yells the request back to Doug, and he, Shap, and Jammer rush to man the jet's three turrets. A quick battle ensues, and at the end of it the Bird is only partially damaged and the entire squadron of TIEs has been blasted out of the sky. Jake shakes his head as he comes down over the city. "Boy, am I glad they only scratched the paint! Good shooting back there!!" "Thanks!" Doug yells. "Now we gotta start our search! Any sign of Ruth?" Kit looks out the window and spots a figure on a motorbike speeding down Chicago's main highway at incredible velocity and heading into town while just about everyone else is trying to get out. She takes a closer look with some long-range binoculars, and sees that the bike is indeed the Road Moccassin, and its rider (Ruth) is dodging panicking Chicago citizens, laser blasts raining down from overhead, and hordes of zombies in her attempt to head into town. "It's her," Kitainia tells Doug and Jake. "Can you get closer?" "Sure," Jake says, banking the Big Bird into a descent as Ruth exits the freeway and heads into Chicago's famous Aurora suburb. Suddenly laser blasts begin echoing past the hoverjet once more. Jake checks his radar and growls, realizing another TIE squadron is after him. "Not these guys again! Back to the turrets, guys! We got another dogfight!!" The Ravens rush back to mann their battle stations as the screen fades out.

"To absent friends?" Batya, I don't think you have any idea what that toast means to me right now. **pulls a new candle out of his pocket, kissing it lightly before switching it with the old candle and sitting down in the big chair**

SJ: That's the reason why I like NASCAR, as well. That's why I said the race was dull. Now, the sensation of 45 performance-tuned V8 engines zipping by at 170 some-odd miles per hour was pretty enjoyable, too ... but then again, I'm a car nut in general ...

Wilek: Mendark? Thanks, friend.

Arming the Clan: Unless it's extreme circumstances (i.e. the Rokkan invasion), NO NO NO NO NO!!!!

Argent: Actually, me and Robby were talking about it last night, and decided that it *might* be possible considering the sheer number of alternate cars that are in existence (the #16 TV Guide car I mentioned last night will have a different celebrity on the hood every race for the remainder of the season; Ernie Irvan drove an alternate car yesterday; Jeff Gordon has an alternate car for a Superman promotion (he used his normal one yesterday); Dale Earnhardt is supposed to bring back his old blue and yellow Wrangler colors at some races this season ... the list goes on ...)

The way I look: ohh boy ...
I suppose I should post this since GB and Starsinger are going to want to know who to look for so they can drag me up to our room ... here goes. I'm 6' even, apprx. 300 or so lbs. If you go looking for me, look for the guy built like an ox suffering from heat prostration wearing a Michigan State Band jacket and a T-shirt with Goliath and Elisa airbrushed on the front (I'm wearing this on the plane.).

SPOLIERS FOR AFTERMATHER PART 2
Owen/Puck is not dead! So he was hidding out in Alex's Fuzzy. I liked the scene when Puck was in Demona's dream to see her one last time and to tell her to try harder to get more friends. Finaly it getting is very close that Broadway and Angela are going to have their mateing ceremony. So all in all good episode.

****SPOILERS FOR NEW EP*****
Yay, Puck survived! I do agree with some of the others with the Manhatten clan not having any casualties, but I did enjoy it anyway. All of my other thoughts have just about been said. all in all, I'd give it 7.5/10 stars. Only one other prob, NO PIC, okay, overreacted a bit, but there are really talented artists that draw the pics for TGS.

***DC death up ahead***
Okay, Dis Connect, you've been asking for it, here I come-
Pheonix is flying over the place and sees DC down on the ground, she swoops down and grabs him with her claws. DC screams in agony as Pheonix picks him up with her claws through the skin on his back. She then flies to the top of one of the nearby mountains and plops DC down in one of the rivers that has freezing water in it. She then starts to get the bile that the black dragons of Krynn are renowned for and starts "dripping" the poisonous bile on DC, starting with his fingers and going up the arms until they are totally dissolved. She then gets rid of the feet and legs, then the the rest of the body until all she has left is the head (which is still-to Pheonix's delight-shrieking with pain) she then takes the form of a tiger and uses the head as a scratching post. As the finally, she takes the form of a gold dragon, sums up a ball of fire, and Bar-B-Q's DC's head until nothing is left.

AARON - I rather doubt that the projected D&D movie will be based on the 1983-86 animated series, although I very much liked it (in fact, it was my favorite serious animated series before "Gargoyles" came along); I don't think that it was remembered strongly enough to have a movie made based on it. Pity, of course, since it was quite good (although weakened by the fact that the protagonists had an objective - getting home, in this case - which would have automatically ended the series if achieved, so they had to constantly fail. "Gargoyles" had the advantage that the clan's objective wasn't to return to the 10th century, but to remain in New York and adjust to it, something that could never be "achieved" in the same way).

Mind you, one can see a certain slight similarity (probably coincidental) between Madoc's outfit and Venger's. (Although the cartoon villain whom I think Madoc really looks like is the evil Prince Lotor from "Voltron"). Incidentally, in the very first episode of the D&D cartoon, Venger was impersonating Merlin for much of the episode; I wonder what Emrys would have thought of that.

Paul- Unfortunatley, I don't have a Playstation. I got a Saturn back when it was the better system for RPG's and had some great Sonic games coming... Of course, all the good Sonic games and RPG's got cancelled, and latter Final Fantasy 7 would hit Playstation releasing a flood of others... Ah well. There's still a few Saturn games I need to get, and then its time for the Dreamcast!

Gargoyles as cartoon or animated show- Um... Look at this from a NORMAL person's perspective for a moment. Gargoyles is a CARTOON. Its drawn on cells and then painted, so its justified being called a cartoon. Yes, its a half hour action adventure series and not a dropping anvil sort of thing, but its still a cartoon. Cartoon and animated are the same thing. Same with anime. There is no technical difference between cartoons and animated shows and anime that a casual viewer would notice. The difference lies in art style, theme and attitude, not what its called, as anything animated is a cartoon to most people. The general public doesn't say, "I'm going to go see the new animated film Tarzan, they say "I'm going to go see the new Disney cartoon." (And they said this about Anistasia and Prince of Egypt, which rather bugged me.) The fact is, you shouldn't feel someone is insulting Gargoyles when they call it a cartoon. Those are the people who don't care about the differences, and never will. (My dad for instance. He still thinks everything animated is Rocky and Bullwinkle quality, and never gives it a chance. He liked Lion King tho...) Anyhow, by the most technical definition, Gargoyles *IS* a cartoon.

Demona May's Garg armor pictures- Unfortunatley, she hasn't scanned these yet... I only have copies from through the mail... I'll ask her to scan those tho...

Blue Caeru- For future reference, the stories and room wipe tend to try and be around midnight, but some nights I know I'm going to be busy or something, and so the wipe and posting is a little bit earlier. However, the story is usually up quite a while before the wipe, as I have difficulty doing that and Patrick is almost always the one who posts the story.

Argent- DOn't try to learn Japanese. It's tough, and the writing is even tougher, with like, 10,000 seperate characters in just ONE of the three writing methods that makes up Japanese... I know, I tried a while back to learn, and can read one language, (the words directly translated to English) pretty well, but its really not worth the effort. I suggest either accepting the horrible dubs we're getting in America, or hunting for fansubs. That way, you get the original Japanese voice actors, pretty authentic translation, and you can get stuff years ahead of what we've got now. Or, order the international channel, they air the series, uncut, and in original japanese, on weekends.

SJ- Hey, you were first this week. Not bad. (My initial post doesn't count since I only announce the new ep, and I release my post the same time the room wipes.)

Casualties in the Unseelie War- I just want to point out, a Y-7 rating varies depending on the censor. Dragonball Z gets a y-7 rating after being censored to death, yet at the same time, the International Channel shows completley uncensored episodes with death and blood and horny old men with crude humor and beer drinking and cigarette smoking and naked butts and no phrases like "next dimension" all the time, and *STILL* retain the Y-7 rating. (In fact, just to prove my point, I'm including a link that SHOWS an uncensored DBZ episode getting a y-7 rating, the same as the overly censored normal American version. Fifth image down.) The rating depends only on the censor, and how much the people putting the show together think is okay, and animated stuff gets about double the slack, because its animated. Basically, the ratings not a valid excuse on the TGS staff's part to not kill anyone. The real reason no one died I guess (This was all done before I came on staff) is because the staff has stories they want to do with everyone yet.

Talespin- Actually, it took an amalgation of the 1920's, 1030's, and 1940's. But basically, it was set in the 30's.

You have 'till the count of ten: one...two...TEN!
(The draco darts into the shadows of the CR. A blast of cold emphasizes them, and DC comes tearing out, screaming like the craving little coward he is. Jewel*D spouts a second blast, catching the hacker's feet. DC's sent sprawling. Argent smirks and walks over shaking her head in mock sympathy)
"Tsk tsk, DC, you really didn't think you could get away with it, did you?"
"Get away with what?"
"Fine, play stupid. It's what your good at, so allow me to refresh your memory: Trying to cut power. Twice. Making me re-do the custom dictionary and re-check all my files, then implanting a glitch that kept me from saving, forcing me to shut down. Nearly deleting two of my files, actually _losing_ a file-"
"That wasn't my fault!"
"Then whose was it? Don't make excuses."
"That's not fair!"
"Your point would be...?"
(Argent snaps fingers. The ice at DC's feet slowly spreads, locking his joints in place, solidifying all the liquids in his body, and giving him a death-blue palor. Icicles frame his mouth and eyes. Jewel*D chirps in satisfaction as she lands on Argent's shoulder, who glares at DC.)
"Don't think you'll get off _this_ easily. If I recall correctly, you've already been dealt with by ice. This is to make sure you don't go anywhere 'till I find out where that file went. It better be retrievable for your sake." (Argent stomps off to make post, leaving him in limbo. Jewel*D amuses herself by carving symbols into the ice with her talons)

Jewel*D admonishes Argent with a couple of squawks.)"Thanks, but don't get _too_-" (Pauses to side-kick another foot soldier in the gut, then bring her elbow crashing down on its head. It slumps to the ground.) "-cocky. And don't waste your energy on individuals, go after larger groups." (Jewel*D, at half size, mutters something as she powers up again.)
"Don't you 'yeah yeah yeah me." (Argent smirks, then notices their area is on the edge of the fight and realatively cleared out.) "C'mon, I don't like how far away we are from the other- WILEK, SJ BEHIND YOU!!"

Well, I've been looking at the Gathering '97 and '98 photos and reading whatever commentaries were available, and gee, it looks like fun. :-) I found the costumes at the masquerade ball and the artwork impressive (I know I wouldn't be able to do much in terms of elaborate costuming - I think I'd end up going as Elisa just because I'm Asian and so have the hair, the dark eyes, and maybe the skin tone). I was also amazed at how almost everyone seemed to know everyone else, seemingly to be totally at ease with one another right away. If the Gathering is held in Orlando next year, I swear I'll get a job so I can attend. ;-)

Hm, someone said we might want to describe ourselves so people know who we are at the gathering?

Well, if you're looking for me, I'm the dude with the one red eye and 2-5ths metal body-- naw! just kidding! LOL! Acutally, I stand 6' 4", will most likely be in jeans, casual shirt, glasses, weighing in at 280 (with a root-beer belly), and a buff colored fedora with a white band around it. Hey, Frodo! LTNS! :)

Wilek> Gunjack was responding to my post.

Arming the Clan> I really don't like this idea. There was something of an appeal in the fact that, despite the fact that their enemies can fire lasers and bullets and magical lightning bolts, all they needed to defeat the forces of evil was their physical prowess and intelligence.

SJ> Well, crude humor, when used well, can actually be funny, I'll admit. :) But when used badly or excessively, as it was in Austin Powers 2, that's not funny.

G99 Report> I'll definitely be writing one, and posting pics too, powers willing. :)

Blue Caeru> On the off chance mine isn't there... there's a report on G98 and an image gallery up on my site. :)

Talespin> Very cool show. :) However, Darkwing Duck replaced it as my fave the next year...

Wilek> I have a MP3 of the Talespin theme, that I could rerecord as a WAV, if you'd like. :)

Aaron> You know, that would be a perfect way for Jar Jar to die, when you think about it... :)
What do I look like? Young Caucasian male, about 5'11" tall, medium build, very dark brown (looks black, generally) hair, brown eyes. Likely carrying around a small black book or a blue notebook... that help out? Hoping to meetcha there! :)

STEPHEN - Before I say anything else, let me say that I didn't take any of your post as any kind of a personal attack. Everyone has a different opinion on one thing or another. If we all felt absolutely the same on everything, then what would be the point to post about it? This is how we discuss, learn and enjoy ourselves. (Although I have to admit that sometimes it is a bit difficult to fully express myself over an internet forum. Typing just can't always get through the tone of voice that I attempt to get through. At least that's how it feels sometimes when I go back and reread what I write.)

Now as to the question on casualties, I know that there are at least 2 dead Londoners in Caledonian territory and possibly more since the last time that we saw that clan was in the middle of a battle. I know that in London proper there is at least one casualty and possibly more since the last time we saw them was at the very end of a battle and there had been no time to really take stock of who was alive, dead, and wounded. But my point is that in MANHATTAN outside of Sata having a broken arm (and even that's not much since it healed at sunrise) there were no other casualties among the clan.

Several hundred people were killed, but they were civilians. Why is it that hundreds of civilians get killed but every single on the actual front line soldiers, the Gargoyles/Mutates/etc. managed to come out without anyone getting killed?

There are scars as you mentioned. Matt has that mental trauma to work through. Elisa was wounded. Richard is going to have to deal with his brother's death. Every war has wounded. But with a horde of Unseelie warriors descending upon a castle where they outnumber the defenders, the defenders can be expected to take if not massive casualties, then at least some. Why should London and Japanese clan's have death's in their battles but the Manhattan clan not only escapes with no one dying but 2 of their members get resurrected? The Manhattan clan came out of the Unseelie war with two more Gargoyles in their ranks. (Ok, technically they did have them before but they weren't Gargoyles, just unliving machines with souls in them.)

You have a point in that I did forget that TGS is limited by that TV-Y7 limit. That always does seem to slip my mind when I start thinking about TGS. But in the original series, death was there. We saw the Archmage die twice (Once in LONG WAY TO MORNING (I know he didn't really die, he was saved by his future self, but at the time we thought that he died) and then in AVALON 3 where we saw the Grimorium's power devower him in fire. The Magus died right in front of our eyes in AVALON 3. In SANCTUARY we actually saw Elisa shoot Demona dead, thus killing her and Macbeth. (They're immortal so it didn't matter, but she still killed her.) Demona smashed all those people in CITY OF STONE. And let's not forget the whole of FUTURE TENSE.

It's true that since TGS is sticking to the standards of an animated TV show that they shouldn't go beyond them. TGS has done very well with this. But my complaint in not in that we didn't see some of the Manhattan clan suffer grizzly death's or see some of them become crippled by war injuries. I understand that if you are keeping animated TV show standards then those should be avoided. It's just that every clan in the world seems to have suffered casualties from this war but in Manhattan there has been no price in life that has been paid by the clan. All of them escaped that.

If Coldstone and Coldfire had died for example, it would have felt bad, but it would have also felt proper. They fought, they went beyond the call of duty and it sad but they just didn't make it. Kind of like the Magus. He fought, gave his all, and in the end helped to save the day. But not all endings can be happy one's. It wasn't for him. Why should it be different here? And it doesn't have to be Coldstone and Coldfire who had to die. I just used them as examples because they were in the best position to do it. Hudson could have gone face to face in a sword battle with Madoc and gotten killed ala FUTURE TENSE. Bronx could have died fighting. Lexington could have been so badly wounded that he might have had to download his consciousness into Xanatos' computer network condemning him to a living death. Some of the clones could have died. It would all be tragic but every war has at least one casualty. With what happened in this week's episode (which I don't have a problem with, especially considering I was reading it right after watching THE MIRROR on Toon Disney) there have been no death's in the front line soldiers of the Manhattan clan. It's a little unrealistic to me that every other clan in the world would lose a member or three but Manhattan loses none and gains 2.

RP WARNING!!!
**Purguatory
Walt Disney has just finisehd praying his rosary and is now reading one of millions of magazines in the waiting room of Purguatory. As he is reading an old copy of Time form the 40s, a beautiful woman appears with a crown of twelve stars.

"My Queen, what brings you to thsi land of the waiting?" He then genuflects at the site of the Virgin Mary and takes out his rosary.
"My child, I have come to offer you a chance to enter Heaven a little earlier. Your son Roy is battling the man who has taken and ruined your empire. Eisner and his minions are very powerful, and my son fears they may not defeat him. If you help, you risk the chance of being sent to Limbo, but if you defeat him, you shall have finished your penance and experience paradise. Will you help them."
"I will do as you ask, O Mother of Mercy."

Walt's soul begins to dsirupt and reappears in Oz to teh shock of all battling. Sevarius Jr., Roy, Argent, Wilek, Attila, TRC, and Mike Eisner look in shock, and Eisner begins to look very worried.
"The prophecy is true. I shall be tarnsferred to Hell by a boss who started my business, and who is long dead. Well, I shall call upon my sorceror to send this spook off to Limbo, where he can no longer harm me."
What will be the outcome of this battle?**

Stormy> You mentioned TaleSpin and didn't tuck in a plug for High Flight? I'm shocked. Anyone interested in a 'fic series continuing TaleSpin, click on my name.

Unseelie War Death Count, et al: Just a note -- there weren't any fatalities shown in the original-series episode "M.I.A."; that hardly qualifies as an implication that it was a bloodless war.
About fatalities and injuries in Manhattan, other than what we see in the Labyrinth rearguard, one can only speculate. I personally agree with Stephen about the probable "several hundreds" -- especially if you include deaths and injuries related to the Fimbulwinter. (Weather-related traffic accidents alone!) But yes, S&P precluded showing any high-scale carnage ... and story plans precluded the deaths of any major characters. (I wanted to kill off Dracon, or better yet Glasses, but it didn't work. *wistful sigh* Oh well, at least I got to torture Matt.) (Er, did I say that out loud?)

Archetypes: I'll get to that one next time, I promise. Just as soon as I can unearth my old notebooks from the current chaos involved in moving into the new apartment....

Hello people. Liked the TGS episode. Very nice.

BTW, yesterday I went to the bookstore and got a really good book called "Bridget Jones's Diary" by Helen Fielding. It's a wonderful book about a British women in her thirties on the path to attempted self improvement. I highly suggest you read it.

I had a really interesting dream last night. I dreamed that I was in my german class and for some really weird reason, we were all talking about what we would like our weddings to be like. Then my teacher asked me what I would like and I said, "OK, first off, let me get this straight: you want me to invite about 100 people, most of whom I don't even know, have them all sit in a church (while I am an atheist and scared to death of religion) to watch me walk down a long aile (sp?) wearing a big white dress declaring my "virginity" and have the watch me make life-long vows to a man who within a few hours after the ceremony, will shag me rotten. And then afterwards, have the guests throw rice at me cursing me to bear lots of little roaches. THAT HAS GOT TO BE THE BIGGEST TURN-OFF I HAVE EVER HEARD OF IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!! blech blech blech!!!!!!" The thing with my immediate family is that we don't like big weddings. My mother's family has a time honored tradtion of meeting your future in-laws once, eloping and getting married by a justice of the peace, moving across country, then telling your family on the phone that you've tied the knot. They are totally OK with it. Plus my parents don't wearing wedding rings because they hate jewlry. I intend to do the same thing. Except for the traveling across country part. I fully intend to have a honeymoon and a full two weeks of being shagged rotten in a nice place. :P

I'll leave you on that nice note while I go off and do stuff. Later! ;P

Did someone say TaleSpin?

Message from my parents...be careful what your kids watch on tv...or they may end up as 16 year old pilots like yours truly. ;-)

Good Lord...five years since glider training...I'm old!

DON KARNAGE: According to the series creator, Jymn Magon, and Jim Cummings who did his voice, Karnage is a WOLF. Sometimes his tail has been drawn as a fox tail, and in one episode and several comics he was referred to as a fox, but that was a mistake...he's a wolf. (personally I prefer thinking of him as a fox, but what can you do?)

TALESPIN ERA: Deuce, where did you get your information? TaleSpin was supposed to be set in the late 30's, PRE-WWII, according to the info we've got. That's why there aren't any jet planes and only one experimental jet engine (the first combat jet was Germany's ME262 of 1945).

(And, as a personal historical note, none of the pirate craft or indeed ANY of the TaleSpin planes have a particularily WWII look to them.)

GARGOYLES WITH GUNS: I'm against any of the clan taking up guns. It's not natural for them. I am curious why Hudson carries a sword while the others don't, but it gives him an edge to compensate for anything he's lost with age. Sata, coming from a samurai clan, would naturally carry swords. Goliath's clan did not and I wouldn't like to see them change.

Re: death count
I think that, in the tradition of DEADLY FORCE, the consequences of violence, etc, can be shown WITHOUT high body count and/or death. This is supposed to be entertainment...not meaning there's no responsibility to show death etc, in fact I quite like the consequences of such eps as METAMORPHOSIS, which is the one that hooked me on the series to start with, but that the death/wounds don't have to be according to RL odds. For example, GI JOE went through far more missions than the odds would have them all survive...but when they did the war campaign, several Joes got killed, just to show that wars aren't bloodless or "fun."

Welcome Back! to all of the regular users who were gone for a while.

Cold dueos (sp?) transformation- In my opinion, they paid the price for having thier bodys back even before they got them back. I mean- nobody asked them if they wanted to come back to life and think of all of the pain and torture that they had to go through having all three souls being in the same body. The thing that does bother me, just a little bit, is the name change, why? I liked the old names.

Arming the Gargs- I can understand just a little bit of armor and weapons for them, but not too much. (Although I would love to see Goliath get pissed off at somebody and just shoot them- think of the contraversy) heehee

Anything else? I don't know, oh well, I will be back!

See ya'll lata!

Hi everybody. It's time once again for David's long, irritating CR post!!!

First of all, I'd like to clarify what I said earlier about arming the clan. I didn't mean to give the impression that the gargoyles should start packing military grade weapons all the time. That would be totally out of character for most of them, and contrary to their goals. I thought they should start carying weapons during the worst of the Unseelie war, and that gave me the idea that there would be other situations where weapons would be appropriate. Even assuming they were going to start using weapons I wouldn't think that everybody would guns.

The weaker members of the clan (the humans, and maybe Lex) would benefit from increased armor and slightly better firepower. Macbeth's basic armor and weapons (The stun gun and a few grenades) would be a pretty good place to start. A similar package would include police bullet-proofs, a hand gun, and maybe a shotgun.

Among the Gargoyles, Broadway has too many hangups about guns to ever be likely to carry any. Lex's body arangement isn't really suited to carying much of anything. Angela seems too pacificistic, and has magic anyway. Hudson, Sata, and Brooklyn already carry some weapons, as do the Twins. I seem to remember Graeme has a slingshot (If it's built for a gargoyle, that's really scary) I do think Goliath could carry a sword. Dark Ages specifically mentioned that he learned how to use one.

In really bad situations the humans might break out Hardsuits, which is pretty much what happend anyway. I just think they would have done it sooner.

***Aftermath 2 Spoilers***
Now, on to something else. The Unseelie war passed with no casulties in the Manhattan clan, which isn't terribly realistic. Lots of people have mentioned that already. I'd like to examine everybody who could have died, and what the ramifications might have been.
Goliath: Nope, cant' kill him. He's the center of the series. Actually, severely wounding him to the point that he had to be taken to Avalon to heal would have been cool. Brooklyn would have taken over, and that would possibly hasten Demona's return to the clan.
Elisa: This would almost have been cool. It would have shattered Goliath, and watching him grow out of the pain would have been fun (if your definition of fun is exposing yourself to heartwrenching pain - mine is- )
Hudson: The old soldier is a good candidate, but his death would have had to be a heroic sacrifice, not a stupid waste of life.
Brooklyn: Killed while neutralizing Loki would have been good. He's too integral to kill with impunity, though.
Broadway: If there was another character to get involved with Angela, oh say Richard, then Broadway's death could have advanced the story.
Lex: Nope. He's too interesting alive. The Cyber-Lex issues need to be explored more first.
Sata: Mabye. Particularly if Broadway was also dead, that would set up an interesting dynamic between Angela and Brooklyn
The Twins: One or the other could have died, but not both. Sata loves Graeme best, or at least worries about him the most, so his loss would have been terribly poinant. I'm not sure killing either twin would be worth it, though.
Bronx: Killing the dog is so "Old Yeller." I would have felt manipulated. Bronx contributes the least to the stories, though.
Matt: This one interests me. Matt needs to survive until the Illuminati subplot is fully explored.
Sara: Yeah, kill her, kill her. It would let Matt play the Tragic, Grim Survivor. It's not that I don't like her, mind you, just that now I'm thinking like a writer instead of an audience member.
Owen: Owen should have stayed dead. Puck could have found a loophole, but once you killed Owen, you shouldn't have brought him back. I like him, though, and I would have missed him.
David: No. His death would have disrupted things too much.
Fox: Yes. That would have thrown all kinds of interesting subplots at Alex and David. If Owen was also dead, that would set up the entrance of Preston Vogul as a major character.

That's enough for now. I may go back and do the Pendragon cast later, or I might not. I guess I should mention that you can't kill Emrys. Death would be too easy for him.
***End Spoilers***

Greetings all... no comments yet for the new ep's reviews. Not enough have come in.

AIRWALKER - Let me point out some statistics, which appear in "The Darkest Hour", just FYI:

Caledonia Forest: At least 2 English gargoyles dead, 3 Caladonian Clan wounded.

London Clan: 1 confirmed dead (Drake), several unconfirmed wounded.

Ishimura Clan: Several (unconfirmed at least a dozen or so; 1 confirmed, Sora) dead, Several, including Kai, wounded.

City of Manhattan: Several hundreds of people wounded and or/killed, during Unseelie attack (I'm sure you don't think they all just attacked the Eyrie alone!).

Also, the Manhattan clan didn't come away without scars: Sata got her arm broke, and everyone got some lumps between themselves (granted the gargs would heal by sunrise), and what about Matt? He basically got memory literally ripped from his mind... a traumatic experience to be sure.

True, we don't know the fates of Guatemala, St. Florence Island, Prague, and several other locations. But that's beside the main point. War is terrible, yes people get hurt, but if you recall we are doing TGS as close to what would be shown on the original series as possible. Even during the battle in "Avalon", no one really met their demise - save the Archmage, but that was expected - since the show was marketed for childrens TV in the afternoon. Yes, they did show wounded gargs in the infirmary, and they were sporting a great many affects of the earlier attack, but... Disney could not show death as would be metted out on a war-like scale on a kid's show. True, we saw them show the "staged" death of Anton Sevarius when Derek was made into a Mutate, but then Anton never died did he?

My ultimate point is that yes war is terrible, but we have a responsibility here, as writers on this project, not to do things that simply wouldn't fly if we were writing for an actual TV animated series. At least in the US. That is why TGS follows a strict guideline for all of its stories to meet a Y-7 rating. This means no gratuious violence, gore, carnage, or scenes of graphic death.

I agree that, normally, war produces casualties. However, let's keep in mind: this is a work of fiction. We have the control to keep it as bloodless or as bloody as we want. And, for the sake of the younger fans out there, it must at the most remain mostly bloodless where violence and death are concerned.

Forgive me if that sounded like a rant. I've just been a bit agrevated over comments on the 'lack' of casualties for a while... I'm sorry. Airwalker, please don't interpret what I said as a personal attack on you okay? It wasn't meant to be, and besides I'm not that kind of person.

Well, back to writing Dark Ages... Maintain and Check Six!

Just a quick note on the arming of the clan topic. I really don't think that it is such a good idea. The whole purpose of the gargoyles is to protect, not to dispense justice through gratuitous violence perpetrated against the criminal element. Using weapons in combat would just increase what is normally a very destructive and violent situation. The bad guys use fire power because they don't really care who gets hurt. The Gargoyles use weapons they know they can control. I shudder to think what would happen were one of them to actually kill a criminal in the heat of the moment, let alone an innocent bystander. The simple fact in my mind, is that they cannot take up weapons and still be who we all know and love. It changes them entirely. For those who will argue about Brooklyn, well, he has always been a bit wild, but he uses his weapon sparingly, I have never seen him use it against anyone but the unseely. In fact, I rarely see him even carry it. All in all, it isn't a matter of being able to meet the bad guys on there own level, it is being able to beat them without going to their level. The are defenders, not punishers. Sorry to marvel for the trademark infringment.

Airwalker, RE: Her kind can't give life> You forget the line in "avalon" (which part escapes me) where I believe it was the Upgraded Archmage who said "Science today is as powerful as any magic" and how now scientists can grow new body parts from body cells. Titania's spell was nothing more than the magic equivalent of cloning, more or less: growing new bodies from donor cells, in other words, the life wasn't created, life was already there, it was just regenerated

Arming the Gargoyles, or at least Elisa> Am I the only one here who when her name was mentioned in the same sentence as "Sawed-off shotgun" and "Wierdness magnet" immediately thought of her with a sawed-off shotgun in one hand, and a chanisaw grafted to her other arm, muttering some variant of "hail to the king baby!"

say, there's an odd idea for a story: Brooklyn timedances right into Army of Darkness, although somehow I can't help but think Personality-wise, Fang would make a better partner for Ash,say now there's a creepy yet cool thought, Pokemon with Ash from AoD as Ash Catchem (and they thought Brock was bad)

**COMMENTS ON CURRENT TGS EPISODE**

So as usual it seems that children always know better than the adults around them. Owen/Puck was alive and well in Alex's toy while everyone around Alex is telling him that he's dead and gone.

This episode was very good in regards to showing us the emotions of everyone involved. I also enjoyed the attempts of that reporter in trying to find out what exactly is going on in the Eyrie. (It was also nice to see some follow up on her vow to get some info on Demona after seeing her in WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS 2. She lucked out in that she wasn't trying to sneak into Nightstone Unlimited. Xanatos would probably settle for just destroying her career. Demona on the other hand I believe hasn't mellowed out so much that she wouldn't be above killing someone who might have found out about her night life and thus might become a danger to her and to her daughter.)

It's also good to see Merlin make the jump from PENDRAGON to GARGOYLES. Owen might be Alex's teacher but he also has to work all those hours for Xanatos, and in human form, he should have human vulnerablities such as getting worn out and needing a vacation. He can't be with Alex all the time and this way there is someone with Magic who everyone can trust who can watch over him when Owen is busy. Merlin as a nanny. That has so many possibilities.

What disappointed me in this episode is what we didn't see. Where is the reaction of Richard Harrison to his brother's death? What happened to the Caladonian clan? Did they survive Morrigan's assualt? Did anyone else die there? How are things going in England? What about the Golem? All those fight scenes from across the world. We saw glimpses of them but no closure on them. I hope that there are quite a few more episodes left in this season as some of these questions do have to be answered.

Also the whole resurrected Othello/Desdemona thing is still bothering me. It's not even that they are in real bodies again. I could get used to that over time (although I'm still not happy about that) but it's the name thing that really, really bothers me. I'll never see Coldstone as Othello. In the 900's yes, but in the 1990's never.

Finally, I am happy that Owen/Puck isn't dead since he's a character with so much potential but since he is alive that means that there have been no casualties in this war for the good guys in Manhattan. What kind of a war is that? It's completely unrealistic that in a war where much of the Unseelie might is thrown against what 16 Gargoyles, 2 unliving beings (Colstone and Coldfire), 4 humans (Elisa, Matt, Sara, and Xanatos), 3 Halflings (Fox, Alex, Merlin) and 4 mutates that there would be absolutely no one getting killed. Other clans suffered massive casualties facing less evil and pain enjoying beings than Madoc and Maeve. The Manhattan clan somehow escapes completely untouched. I can't buy it. If Coldstone and Coldfire had died or Hudson and Bronx or some of the clones or someone who had been in direct battle with the Unseelie had died then I could believe it. But look - nobody has died from the ranks of the good guys: Elisa was saved, Owen is back from being "dead" (he never was to begin with), Coldstone and Coldfire are not only saved from death but they are given new true life, and nobody has any permanent damage. If nobody is going to die then at least tell me why in facing hordes of Unseelie, nobody lost an eye or an arm or leg or got seriously hurt. It's war. If war had this few death's then everyone would want to do it.

It is good that war is so terrible lest we grow too fond of it. - Robert E. Lee

The Unseelie war in Manhattan hasn't been that terrible when you actually analyze it. Madoc caused much trouble but in the end, he's dead and the Manhattan clan can continue like nothing happened. That just doesn't seem right.

Also back to Titania's resurrection of Coldstone and Coldfire - I was reading THE SUN AND THE SERPENT 4 over again yesterday and a line in it got me wondering. It comes from the scene where Brooklyn is begging Isis to save Meryt's life and Isfet tells him why Isis can't do anything. Here is the line: "Her kind can't give life, just as mine can't take it."

Now if Fey can't give life, then how was Titania able to create new bodies for Coldstone and Coldfire? She literally gave them new life, she grew new bodies for them like it was nothing out of old bits of their old bodies. But according to that line, the Fey can't give life. So how could Titania give new life to Coldstone and Coldfire?

**END OF COMMENTS ON CURRENT TGS EPISODE**

ARMING ELISA AND THE GARGOYLES - Let's not forget that most of the Gargoyles are already armed. Hudson and Sata have swords. Brooklyn has a lazer rifle. Ariana has her stick. The rest of them outside of Lexington are hard to picture with weapons. Goliath, Broadway, and Angela don't strike me as being the kind of characters to start carrying around weapons all the time. And the only way that I can picture Lex with a weapon is if he goes more cyborg and gets one of those arm lazers that Coldstone, Jackal, and Hyena have.

As for Elisa, she is already armed. What she really needs to do is to start wearing a bullet proof vest whenever she goes out on an adventure with Goliath and the clan. And maybe she should carry an extra gun. But that's about it. I don't think that Elisa would be willing to change her lifestyle that much because of danger. She's as stubborn as Goliath. She would most likely try to get rid of the danger so that she can have her old way of living back.

Hi, laddies and lassies.
Just wanted to say that I have yet again updated my archive of Gargoyles fanfics. Now, I gotta see if I can find some decent graphics to juice up the page.

*DC DEATH*
Warpmind steps up to DC, eyes blazing, an ancient scroll in hand. He bagins to chant, DC starts to fade.

DC disappears from the CR and finds himself on a highway, pushing a small kid out of the trajectory of a truck convoy.
A few kids stand by the side of th road.

"Oh my God, they killed Kenny!" "You bastards!" "Hey, wait, dude, Kenny's not dead, that other guy is!" "Ooomf, oomf, oomf, oomf *SPLATT!*" "Oh, my God, NOW they killed Kenny."
*END DC DEATH*

How bizarre.

Well, gotta scoot... soon. Got some more episodes to print today.

**MORE LONG RP!**

[The black-cloaked lord of the Mitaxis mansion stood outside the front door, barely seeing the black Lamda shuttle approaching in the dim night.] It *is* nighttime, isn't it? [It raises its lower two wings, so its landing gear can touch the ground, reminding Anoth of a scene in Return Of The Jedi, when he'd watched it with Jake and Teri. It lands and lowers its boarding ramp; Anoth slowly strides up toward the shuttle's passenger cabin, knowing that by pursuing Dahak, he is taking his life in his hands. Before he can enter the cabin, though, he hears an old friend calling from the cockpit--"Hey Anoth, long time no see! You scared us, running off like that!" Anoth turns to face the very familiar speaker--"Jake? You're my pilot?" Teri, sitting in the co-pilot's seat, replies, "Yup. After his work at Jerec's Death Star, Rho figured he was the best dog for the job." A sepulchral whisper echoes from a dark corner of the cockpit: "Wolfboy here has has his uses. <G>" Anoth: "Forfexx, you're here too?" The fellow Halfling flows from under a control console and assumes his black-masked, silver-caped humanoid form. Forfexx: "Somewhat like the end of The Wizard Of Oz, eh? <hehehe>" Jake: "Did you really expect us to let you run off and have all the fun?" Teri: "We've fought Dahak just as long as you have--<glances at Forfexx>--longer in some cases." Jake: "We're practically family, and we watch each other's backs. So if you're running off to get yourself killed, so are we. <grins>" Anoth: "Ah. Friends, I thank you, most sincerely. I had no idea you even realized I'd withdrawn." Teri: "Rho told us; he knows how close we all are." Forfexx: "Perhaps we can all save the chat for when we're on the way to Chicago? Even in this, it'll be a long trip." Anoth: "Of course. Jake?" Jake: "Sure thing." The shuttle withdraws its boarding ramp and takes off, heading for Chicago and the Imperial invasion fleet...]

Ah, so little Nicole St. John wishes to discover the secrets of the Eyrie. Enjoy your body bag. >:) Hm...this friend (relative, whatever) in California sounds to me like a reference. Care to clue me in, anyone? <G> <<"It was too wonderful to be anything but reality," Desdemona replied>> Heh heh heh. This sounds like something I do to my own characters--give them something nice, let them wallow in it for a while like the little unsuspecting piggies that they are, then have something else sneak up behind them with iodine and a cheese grater. They're in for some hurting, I just know it. <<"Always worrying. As you can see, I'm fine and you can tell her that when you talk to her. Or I will," the dark-maned woman said, "when they get back from Chicago.>> $Uh oh...Doug, are you thinking what I'm thinking? >:) $ Wait a minute, when did the Mazas go to Chicago? Have I simply not been paying attention (which happens sometimes)? Heh, I'm glad we got to see Puck one last time, even if it was only a dream...OK, now I *know* something's up with that fuzzy--oh...my...*word*. <<"I suppose a small explanation is in order.">> You better believe it, buddy. I want to know how you ppl did that! I was sure he'd never be back! Or was he ever dead? I'm beginning to wonder. Ah--tricky. Heh heh heh. I should have known--for someone like him, faking one's own death would be seen as the ultimate prank. I just wonder how they're going to explain this to the Xanatos Enterprises staff <heheheeehe>. Or are they just going to tell them the truth? I'd pay to see that. >:) I have to admit, I was kind of hoping Owen really was sincerely dead--not that I don't like him, but because of what his death was doing to the story. Oh well, this is good too. :)

**END SPOILERS**

Star Wars personality test> The first time I took it, I was an Obi-Wan type. The second time, I was a Chewbacca type. I wonder which is more accurate. Heh, I was hoping to end up as an Emperor Palpatine type, if they have one. >:) Sick as it sounds, I kind of admire him--not for his horrible ideology or his Nazi-esque methods, but for his intelligence and ingenuity. It took brains to take over the Old Republic the way he did. Too bad he was evil...

Shogun Raptor> You know...now that I think of it, TaleSpin does have several eerie parallels to Reboot...

Zath> <<Why do so many people think of Brooklyn as having a big nose. I always thought he had a little tiny nose but a really big mouth>> So have I, but try telling my creativity demons that. <notices a purple Kermit and Piggy in a red jacket trying to sneak into his mind, along with a turquoise Fozzie and Sam the Eagle in a white cape> I SAID GET OUT! <g> [Wilek now notices SJ's dad dressed as Long John Silver.] You too, buddy--oh wait, we've been looking for you! ["But this isn't the RP."] Oh. [Sevarius flings off the waistcoat to reveal dominatrix attire and prances away singing 'Time Warp'.] Ack.

Aris> NOT YOU TOO! We may have lost one clan member already (but hopefully not!); we can't lose another! Please, don't leave because of this!

Entity> <<that big blimp thing the Pirates flew around in was so cool>> The Iron Vulture? Ohhh, *yes*. It was my favorite thing about the show, along with its theme song (the Vulture's, not the show's; anyone found a MID?) If only they'd made a TaleSpin movie; I just know the Vulture would have been done in CGI and that would be *so* *kewl*...Speaking of TaleSpin, there's this fanfic I'll have to give y'all a link to if I ever find it again. I forget what it's called, but it'll be hard to miss. It takes place long after the show; Kit and Molly are grown up, Shere Khan has two daughters, I think even Don Karnage has spawned. It was all rather kewl.

Doug> <<Finally, IE does something better than Netscape.>> Heh...maybe it's simply because I'm used to it, but I've always preferred IE. Maybe it's because Netscape has so many bugs on my system (slow, awful interface, hyperlinks often won't work for some reason)...oh well. :) <<Now if we'd only get DumlaoX back....>> Hey...where *is* he? He's been gone for the longest time...

Coyote> <<One of the cars in today's race (#9, to be precise) was sponsored by Cartoon Network and was decorated with characters from "Dexter's Laboratory" (Dexter on the hood, Dee Dee on the left quarter panel, and Dexter's nemesis (I forget the guy's name) on the right quarter panel).>> That would be Mendark, I think.

**Mildly controversial bit**

Anonymous rock tosser :) > <<Why is homosexuality and bisexuality viewed as a "controversy"? If that's the case then shouldn't straight sex be viewed the same way?>> Um...I thought it was?

**End bit**

Gunjack's discorporate soul> Um...when you were replying to me, are you sure you weren't thinking of someone else?

SJ> $<<well, frankly I'm afraid I may not write your character (or Miriam's) adequately.>> Heh...with Miriam, it's not quite as hard as it looks; think 'love child of Owen Burnett and Xena Warrior Princess' (I wonder how many creativity spawn I just set off) and you have the general idea. <G> (Come to think of it, she does sound something like Lucy Lawless' real voice...) <<BTW, am I forgetting anyone in the above RP? Any more heroes? Geez, the group is so large, I'm afraid I left someone out.>> Um...our Tzimisce ally Venrik, I believe. No problem; it's tough keeping track of a team this big. :)$ <<NASCAR: No offense, but this has always seemed a little redneck to me.>> I never saw the point either. I mean, who cares who wins. The winner gets a boatload of money, of course, but s/he's the only one who would care about that. What that 'sport' needs is some weaponry. Ever play Extreme-G for N64? Then you know what I mean. >:)

Arming the clan> Eh...it'd certainly make a very kewl image, but gargs are so well suited to hand-to-hand combat that it's not terribly necessary (I mean, they took down the Steel Clan with their bare claws). Except against ground based targets, most of whom can't do a lot about blaster shots raining from above. >:) As for armor...well, gargs are resilient anyhow--we can take stuff that'd kill most humans--were rather agile, reducing the hits we take in the first place, and if a garg survives *at all* until sunrise, s/he'll be perfectly alright the next evening, so that reduces the need for armor (although it's handy when going up against a very well-armed enemy). As for arming the *human* good guys--hey, go for it. It sure worked for Dingo. <G>

**MORE RP!**

[In Eisner's throne room, the heroes are still fighting the seemingly ever-increasing ranks of Eisner's servants. Miriam's lightsaber is doing an excellent job of dispatching their foes, even though she isn't a Jedi (amazing what a few short years of Kendo training will accomplish), and Venrik's powers of fleshcrafting and bonecrafting are reducing creature after creature to twisted and deformed masses of dying meat, from which Venrik takes great pleasure in drinking the blood. Finally realizing the overwhelming odds, he uses his power of Horrid Form, becoming a hulking razor-clawed war beast, powerful enough to rip apart even a gargoyle. And the battle continues...]

Sorry I'm back, but I just finished reading last weeks CR and I have just a few things to say on the same subject, soo, here it goes

JackaL and Aris (sp- on both names?)-> We are supposed to be a clan, and even the best of friends fight (I'm not saying you were the best of friends) and every clan has some members who are...cautious...of each other. Kinda like Goliath with Lexington before Lexington proved the dream not to be prophesy. Both of you are valued clan members in this CR (isn't everyone) and neither of you should leave (should Lexington of left- just because Goliath was wary of him or vice-versa?) This is RL online and everyone has up days and down days. I don't think the whole clan should suffer by losing two clan members just because of a few hot words.

Okay dokay peoples, I'm tired, I'm going to sleep, I'll be back later today,

Hello again. I enjoyed "Aftermath Part 2." :-) Anyway, I was wondering if anyone in here has pictures from The Gathering 1997 and 1998 posted on their websites. I'm getting into the spirit, I guess, since I'm not attending this year. I've seen Christine's pictures on her site, and they've piqued my interest. :-) Thanks for any info.

****TGS SPOILERS****
Aftermath Part 2: Overall a good episode. It was well written and entertaining. It is somewhat disapointing that we did not get to see the aftermaths of the battles in Japan, Prague, Guatamala etc. Nikki's investigation seems like it could make for an interesting future plot thread. While it is great that Owen survived, and in a plausible way, now it seems that there were no real consequences to the Unseelie war, at least in New York. However, beside these flaws, it is still a good episode.
****END SPOILERS****

I just came back from my church's annual picnic. It was a blast, with loads of hamburgers, icecream, and a softball game.

Arming the Gargs> I think that they should arm themselves, at least with body armor and radios. While most of the clan would probably not want to carry firearms both Brooklyn and Hudson wear armor (and carry weapons), so that should not be a major problem.

A moment of silence for DeForrest Kelley.

****FINALLY, WE HAVE RP!!! LONG ONE, TOO!****
The situation looks grim; the heroes are surrounded by vampire executives, ghouls (humans under Eisner's thrall), and the ever deadly Wicked Tribe of Flying Monkeys, who are still very upset at their earlier loss. The leader of the Tribe, the very large baboon, was growling ferociously, and staring at the Scarecrow with an intense bloodlust. On his throne, Eisner sat, a smile upon his face. He obviously was enjoying himself....and standing close to him, under the watchful eye of two of his vampire lieutenants, was TRC and DMW. "Enought stalling," Eisner called out. "Kill them."
With that, the battle was engaged. Lion, still loyally protecting his friend the Scarecrow, valiantly tried to keep his sovereign behind him as he sliced at a pair of oncoming vampires. The undead creatures were quick, but Lion was a skilled swordfighter, and it wasn't long before one of them felt his cold steel severe its neck. The other was a bit harder to destroy...until the resourceful Scarecrow stretched out one of his spindly legs and sweeped its feet away from it. With a cry, Lion drove his sword deep into the creature's heart, and it was no more.
Mambi was thorougly enjoying herself. She was using her dark magic to cast up fireballs. With glee, she flung them at her Kindred attackers, laughing with joy as the flames engulfed them and scorched their flesh.
Roy Disney and Attila were currently tackling the Ghoul threat. Since they were mearly innocent humans trapped under the foul influence of Eisner, the two showed compassion for them. Roy was using his superior strength to deliver hammer-like blows to the tainted humans, sending them into blissful unconsciousness. When the occasion called for it, he would use the flat of his blade to swat a charging Ghoul back. Attila, however, was a virtual demon in the battle. The normally easy-going cat was furiously clawing at any ghoul that dared to come near him, leaving painful scratches on their faces and neck.
Meanwhile, the Hounds were in their own version of Heaven. It had been a while since they had eaten...and they were using this time now to sample some flying monkey meat. With their terrible claws and razor-sharp teeth, the Hounds were ripping chunks out of the Wicked Tribe. The screams of pain and outrage of the Tribe echoed throughout the throne room, as the monkeys retaliated with their own deadly claws. The Hounds, however, were in a blood-driven frenzy, and the wounds they received from the Tribe didn't slow them down much.
Argent and Jewel*D were fighting valiantly as well. The draco and her trainer were fairing well, Jewel's bursts of flame sending the vampires to a fiery final death, as her claws tore their flesh into strips. Likewise, Argent was more than happy to show any vamp foolish enough to mess with her the business end of her wooden stake.
Wilek and Miriam were handling the vampires rather well, considering the sheer strength in numbers the Kindred possessed. Wilek, using his amazing Gargoyle strength, was a war machine; he used the stake given to him earlier by Giles to swiftly and expertly dispatch his foes. Miriam beside him was holding her own as well. However, the vampire ranks seemed to begin to swell around them....
Giles was doing remarkably well for a man his age, SJ thought to himself. The Watcher, calling back on years of training and experience in handling all things supernatural, was showing that he still had the moves. He would deftly dodge a vampire's attack, then deliver a blow or two of his own, finally driving the stake into the undead's chest with the mark of a professional. Still, the fighting was hard, and as he drove the wood into another vampire's heart, he wished to himself that he had the help of a certain blonde Slayer...
Kari used her spear to both keep the vampires at bay and to eliminate them. Praying a silent prayer to the goddess whom she had become the avatar of, she twirled her spear like a baton, using the spinning weapon to bowl over a group of vamps. She spin kicked another, sending it to the floor. With a quick jab, she drove her spear into it's chest, ending it's existence. She calmly jerked the spear backwards, the blunt end catching a vampire stupid enough to attempt a rear attack in the gut. As the creature bent over, she grabbed it by its hair, and snap-mared it over onto it's back. Lying prone in front of her, it had no protection as she drove her spear home. Seconds later, the vampire was nothing but dust.
Finally, SJ stood alongside his Pokemon. "Guys, it's up to us. We've got to help the others take these vamps out, so we can get to Eisner. Ready? Hypno, use your mind control attack!"
"Hpyno!" the Pokemon cried, and began to swing its pendulum. ...only nothing happened.
"FOOL!" Eisner called out, a smile on his lips. "All my servants are blood bound to me. Do you think some silly beast can overcome MY willpower?"
SJ sneered. "Golem, do your thing!" The rocky Pokemon launched itself at the vampires. Their claws did little to harm it--but it's great strength was doing them great damage. Golem's small fists were flying, and even the undead felt the pain of their impact. The small pokemon took especial pleasure in rolling into a ball and knocking its' opponents over like tenpins.
"Alakazam, GO!" The psychic Pokemon stepped foward. At first, the vampires didn't know what to make of it...then they felt themself floating in the air. Using a powerful telekinesis attack, Alakazam delighted in sending the vampires flying, slamming them at will into the ceiling, the walls, the floor, and other villains.
"Pikachu, thunder shock!" The cute mouse Pokemon obliged by sending out a large arc of electricity. The bolt of lightning struck one vampire square in the chest, causing the creature to literally explode into pieces.
Still, the battle was far from over....
***END LONGEST RP I THING I'VE EVER DONE******

Wilek: Hey, you can still join in the RP if you want; I could use some help in the battle, and well, frankly I'm afraid I may not write your character (or Miriam's) adequately. BTW, am I forgetting anyone in the above RP? Any more heroes? Geez, the group is so large, I'm afraid I left someone out.
Oh, and as you can see, I haven't forgotten about TRC or DMW. I was kind of waiting for TRC to post though...oh well, I sure he will soon!

NASCAR: No offense, but this has always seemed a little redneck to me. I mean, I have some family down in Georgia, and they love it. Personally, the *only* reason I ever watch it is to...well, see a crash. Morbid? You bet. But still, I don't get much other enjoyment out of seeing cars go round and round a track. I need that fiery car crash.

Austin Powers 2: Despite some bad reviews by the folks in here, it was number one....with about 55 million dollars. That's <<places pinky up to his lips like Dr. Evil>> 55 meeellion dollars...
I still haven't seen it, so I can't really defend it...but I don't know about you folks, but I kind of like the crude humor. I expect that. It's what makes movies like Dumb and Dumber and Something About Mary fun (I still bust a gut at the Jeff Daniel's toilet scene in Dumb and Dumber). And I got to say, Doug and Kit, you shouldn't have gone in expecting good plot or characterization. Austin Powers is like a skit on SNL: just a goofy premise, and lots of dumb jokes to fill in the time. Still, I haven't seen it, so it could be a colossal piece of crap. Oh well...I'm waiting for the "Blair Witch Project" to come out on July 16. Trust me, from what I've seen of that film, it WILL scare the bejeezus out of you.

Paranoid writers: I'm one. Okay, I haven't really written much of anything (that I've posted, anyway), but heck, I won't even show members of my own family what I've written (to be cliched, "they wouldn't understand it anyway"). I will post it on the net, which I guess isn't the soundest logic...still, I worry that people will like what I've written. Then again, as I've said before, an author should be proud of his own work, and its most important that he/she likes their own work. When I write something, I want others to enjoy it, true, but if I'm proud of the work, I can take the criticism. You should write what makes you happy, and if everyone doesn't think it's any good....well, that may be tough to deal with, but as long as you love your own work, you should be able to handle the rejection.

Paul Nathans: Forgive me, I have become too much of a social scientist. :) I'm a big psychology and sociology student, and well, they teach you that all those things I mentioned (cooperation, companionship, and love) ARE needs that we can not do without (well we can, but we can not function to the best of our abilities without them).
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to disprove freewill. I too feel we have a choice in the way we live our own lives. But deep down, I do believe that all of us, on some level, wants or needs a little love, or companionship, even if we choose to live our lives with varying degrees of those.

Arming the Good Guys: What, you mean the Gargoyles? Noooo...I like the clan as they are, not loaded down like the Terminator with guns aplenty. Although, perhaps Elisa needs some heavier ordinance, or at least a freaking Kevlar vest...I like the Gargs as hand-to-hand combatants though. Nothing is more impressive than for them to take out a villain with only their bare hands.

****Aftermath 2 Spoilers****
I was so close about that Preston going to work for Xanatos thing. Oh well. I was pretty sure it wouldn't happen once we knew Puck had survived. My complements on the way that was handled. I was wondering how you'd explain Puck not showing up to help Alexander.
*****End Spoilers (but my mind wanders, so read with caution)****

In other news, I finished a draft of the complete magic essay, which will slowly work its way into the Grimorum. I may eventually finish the first Freelance fanfic since I finally figured out how it ends tonight.

Now, let's see, what can I say to stir up conversation for the next week... How about this: Assuming Emris stays in New York, wouldn't it be interesting if Ariana develops a crush on him?

I'll do better later, but I have a raging headache (the tylonal PM becons) and it's kind of late.

Arming the good guys> Sorry I didn't get a chance to jump in on this one last week. I don't know if arming the good guys is such a good idea. I think it would take the focus away from what's important. On the one wing, I can see the logic. If everyone else on the block has a gun why not you. But in the series, conflicts weren't resolved with who had the most arms. They were resolved with understanding, integrity, the virtues. It's sort of like the lightsabers vs. blaster debate I had with someone. There will always be someone with bigger and more guns than you. But what gets people to the edge of their seat is the contest of wills like the lightsaber duels. I don't know how much that applies here, but that's my 2 cents on that.

My other 2 cents is about Star Wars ripping off Dinotopia. When I first saw Phantom Menace I did notice the similarities between Naboo city and Sauropolis and Waterfall City. But I remember some interviews with Jack Gurney, the author. Most of his inspiration came from descriptions of cities and structures from around the world. Sauropolis and Waterfall City followed along lines of Imperial Rome. They way the Tentpole to the Sky resembles Tibetan monasteries and Canyon City has some hints of Navajo and Anasazi dwellings. I don't think Star Wars ripped him off. More likely they just used the same source, Imperial Rome for the inspiration.

Catch you all on the flipside. next stop the Gathering

*The hologram of Valentine pops into existence*

Just a few Res, folks, and I’m out of here. My friend and I have spent the last three days prepping his character (he’s a bit of a newbie), and we’ll be spending most of tomorrow rockin’ down, so I’ve got to grab posting time when I can.

Doug>>Elisa doesn't need to be a garg for the romance with Goliath to go forward.>> Amen. Also, I’m with you and Kaioto on the gargs violence thing. Given the way that automatic weapons, particle rifles, grenades and rockets are tossed around, it’s miraculous that SOMEONE hasn’t yet been reduced to a messy spot on the pavement. Personally, I think it would have been better if the Unseelie War had been used to usher in a more realistic veiw toward combat and violence, and I agree with the guy a while back who proposed an advancement in the rating level of the series. Maybe a major catastrophy could be used to cause both the upgrade in weaponry and the switch in worldview... Well, I can dream, can’t I? My next post might include an extensive arguement for the rating
change.

Wilek>>This attitude people are getting that says "trenchcoats and sunglasses are evil" really torks me off. And that lady had no right to say what you can and can't wear anyway.>> Loonies. So, adoes anybody have any objections to black suits and sunglasses? With a REALLY big handgun in a concealed holster? <g>

Re - GargArmor pics>> Where?!? Gimmegimmegimme!!!

Aris/Jackel - Guys, the number of posts concerning your flamewar should convince you that leaving isn’t the anwser. Getcher butts back here:)

Robby>>Upgraded weapons for Elisa and the gargs- Hee hee... I don't have stories about this particular subject, but I do have pictures done by Demona May! All the gargs, (Including Demona) and Elisa in power armor of sorts... Looks pretty spiffy. Especially Elisa in her blue Steel Clan like outfit... But while it works for pictures or in theory, the gargs carrying higher level weapons just wouldn't work too well. We don't want them all becoming like Cable or the Punisher do we?>> I disagree.

I don’t read comics, but I think I know enough about the characters in question to say that, in each case, guns are actually a part of the character instead of a peice of gear. The result is a “Big Guy With A Gun” as someone here so aptly put it. The “Gargoyles” characters, on the other hand, already have well-formed personalities, and a few judicious upgrades would do little to affect them. The trick is to avoid attaching the characters to the gear, ala Batman’s Bat-*insert fav peice of gear here*. as long as you leave weapons as realistic tools, there should be no problems. Oh, and the reason only my ghost visits is because my body is busy elsewhere.

Kaioto>> NYPD are designed to use nightsticks, mace, and bullets in the most efficient and oft times brutal fashion available. I don’t think Elisa is under-powered, I think she and most humans are simply the victims of romanticized, “cleaned up” fiction.>> This reminds me of a top-ten list from castle.net, something about “things most often heard being shouted at the TV”. One of the last few was “Why do you just punch him? Use your talons, that would solve everything!!!”

David G.>> All I really have to go on is that Brooklyn decided to trade up at some point, and that in my gaming, my little Shadow Run street shaman went from carying a 45. automatic to packing a gyromounted assult cannon after a while, since everybody in the universe was trying to kill him and he didn't want to die.>> Heh. It’s nice to know that I’m not the only gun nut in here... BTW, both hands around the grip is a *very* good way to deal w/ recoil. Also, you’re right about the iron bullets being expensive, but they wouldn’t be *too* diffucult to explain to the cops. If Xanatos can get away w/ particle rifles and powered armor, who’s gonna care about a few rounds of custom ammo?

Green Baron>>I imagine Elisa's in the NRA and she should go down to Texas where she can get some real guns :)>> Buddy, you’d fit in right proper down here. <g>

C ya!
