I'm back y'all. Nothing much is happening in the state of Vermont. I feel bored and wish I was out with my friends. But I have to clean out my room of everything so the construction workers can work on my house. I never realized how much stuff I had! And I didn't realize how much money......

Skimming through this comment room I see that most of you have a great life. I feel oh so horribly BORED! Specially since half my friends moved away and my redneck pals decided to disappear on me. It's just me and the remaining friends.

So here I am. Nothing really happened. Just cleaned my room. Nothing happened last week either. Nor the week before that.....::sigh::.... that's it. I'm going to take my car and drive somewhere. Take a friend and leave. Maybe I'll go see my relatives in New York or Georgia.....maybe go to Texas or California. See my friends in Washington state. visit Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario and Newbrunswick. Take a trip through Mexico. Heck I'll just visit all of them. As soon as I gain up the courage to get gas from the gas depot.

As for my top ten I'm going to hold those back now as I write more for my fan-fics, and my work here. But they'll be back if I think up some good ones! In the meantime to hold you over I will be making smart ass comments that will make you wish I was dead! Just Kidding!

New England-- Is there ANYONE living in the vermont state or at least in the New England region that responds to this comment room? I feel like I'm all alone.

Dang it I'm coughing again. I had a cold for the past week and it won't leave. Anyway Bye!

" Wait lemme get this straight! You turn to rock when the sun comes up? Man, I didn't realize the ozone layer was that bad! Better put on some more sun screen...."

Blue Caeru: Nice to see ya ... come on back on a regular basis if ye can.

Warpmind: You don't necessarily have to come to the Gathering to submit to the Filkbook ... they take submissions from everybody. I submitted one by e-mail last year ... unfortunately it didn't make it (it was the third revision of "Gargoyles in the Rear View Mirror," for any and all interested.).

Jewel: Grad school? Good luck, friend. :)
As for liking "La Vida Loca," don't sweat it. I get embarrassed by my mother ... I swear she's going through her second adolescence, she's into all of the teeny bopper acts that've come out lately (Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Ricky Martin ... only one she doesn't like is Britney Spears).

Birthdays: Spacebabie ... while you're searching for one for Warpmind's B-day, could ye find one for mine (September 27, 1975 ... only celeb I know who shares the say at least is about thirty years separated: Meat Loaf)? Oh, and that makes me a Rabbit.

Doug: Thanks. I really appreciate the good wishes.

**sigh** Slow room tonight ... **fixates once more**

**Robby enters humming the Joxer the Mighty theme... "Joxer the mighty, roams through the countryside he nver needs a place to hide..."**

Sorry, been on a Xena kick the last few hours... Evil idea- Brooklyn in one of his Timedances goes to whatever time period Xena is in, gets goofy armor and starts going around as "Brooklyn the mighty"...

Dumlao... COme out come out wherever you are...

Pokemon- Gonna get a 7 episode marathon tommarow... Hee hee... Shame its gonna be broken up by that lousy "Detention" show...

David Duchovny song- Wierd... Definitley, definatley wierd. (Now, is that a Runt impression, or a Sewer Urchin impression?)

Birth year- I'm the year of the... Oh geez, I always forget this. 1982... I want to say Dog...

Happy Birthday SHogun Raptor!

Video Game endings- What are those? Seriously, the last GREAT ending I can recall goes to Nights... Had multiple endings depending on how well you did and if you won with both characters. And it looked great each time and threw in new music if you got it all...

Starship Troopers- With all the reruns, I'm losing interest...

**LONG RP HERE: THE CYBER SMURF SAGA**

The cyber-smurf's brief look of nervousness fades after Strom-Ra finishes his transformation.
"Hmm. Not much of an upgrade at all. No need to call in the gate cult after all." The small rodent powers up a fireball in his hand, and blasts Strom-Ra into nothingness. "See you later... In the Next Dimension!"
SJ does not look amused. "I don't know what's worse... That he's royally roasting us, or that he's using lousy Saban dialouge! This guy has to be stopped!"
Kari grimaces and begins to focus her power. Black Tiger notices this and prepares to attack. But before anything can be done, the smurf turns and blasts Kari. She vanishes before she can even flinch.
"I'll also see YOU in the next dimension. Heh heh."
SJ screams. "NOOOO!"
"What, you didn't like that? All right." The smurf snaps his fingers and Kari falls to the floor with a thud.
"What the?"
"Like I said, I sent her to the next dimension. Its where I sent that red character as well. It incompacitates you for as long as I like, and if I bring you back, you can't do much for a while. Neat trick huh?"
"Trick?" Black Tiger gapes.
Sevarius Junior is by Kari's side. "You creep..."
It is then that Black Tiger attacks with a flurry of punches at the small smurf. He is easily knocked back and wounded.
"All right. I've come to a decision. It is clear you fools are not fighting your best against such a small enemy. So for your benefit I'll upgrade to a bigger more powerful form. Of course, once I do, all teleportation attacks are off and everything I do WILL kill you. Feel free to leave now if you must..."
The cyber-smurf chuckles as he transforms before everyone's eyes into a creature a full six feet tall, and threatening. In a much more booming voice he looks to his opponent. "Now, lets begin, shall we?"

Kyryn> If you can hear me. Send me an email. It's urgent.

Starship Troopers> Finally seen enough of them to make an opinion. Overall, I'm not impressed. I remember that the book was originally published in the 1980's. If it came out then or in the early 90's it might have been interesting. But after Exosquad, Wing Commander, & Space: Above and Beyond; the whole 'war is hell and the officiers are jerks' has been done and in Exosquad's case done better.

Showing it out of order, if there is one is a terrible move. Without continuity I feel no connection with any of the characters. Rico seems more like a whiner than a green rookie on his first tour. It also prevents answering questions that would help my disbelief. Questions like how do these insects get from planet to planet. Everything about them suggests they don't use machines. So how do you leave one planet and get to another one. What do they eat? Planets like Pluto and these moons they're on have no life matter other than the soliders. What is feeding them? Common sense questions like that crop up in my mind when there is little story to help.

The CGI is passable. Especially in animation, the dragon is in the details. Anime is more sophisticated than a Yogi bear cartoon in part to the level of detail, in the story and in the visuals. Same holds with computer animation. I like War Planet because of the level of detail in the characters, the background, even having personal music themes like in Gargoyles and Batman. By the same token I usually pass on Voltron, because the detail is not there. The characters look plastic, the background and long shots are great, but it doesn't compensate for the first. In Troopers, there isn't that much detail because the locals are all dark and the characters all wear the same uniforms. That realism is to their credit, but it's also to their detrement. It took me four episode, two of them repeats to figure out who is who. I prefer that recognition to be up front.

Well, I've rattled on long enough. Sorry to talk your ear off.

Well, no time for a second RP today, so just a few quick notes:

Teflon Bullets - Supposedly, teflon-coated bullets would reduce friction between a bullet and a kevlar vest, allowing the bullet to penetrate the armor. In reality, the vast majority of "Bullet-proof" vests only work on pistol rounds up to .44 magnum, and most rifles will rip right through kevlar without even slowing down. The teflon bullet craze probably started because some idiot thought it sounded cool. Personaly, I'll stick with APEX, HEAT, and APDSFSDU. (Whoever can tell me what these acronyms stand for gets the Gunjack Award of the week)

David G.><<Out of the blue. One of my co-workers asked me today if I would be interested in writing a video game. He and a friend are going to do the code, and I'm going to do the pretty words and pictures.>> I've planning on doing the same thing someday, after I get out of college and find somebody to write code... Out of curiosity, what kind of game?

Jaden & Xanathar - A thousand pardons, gentlepersons. I was in the process of being kicked off the computer when I wrote it, and I must have gotten the posts confused...

Green Baron - I don't really know. the violence withdrawel started after spending an entire week working very hard with no entertainment. No TV, no boardgames, no books, no computer, not even time to sit down and doodle. The malaise started when it occured to me that I wasn't going to get any of the above commodities in the near future, as well as the fact that I'm seperated from my girlfriend by several hundred miles. As for the headaches... Who knows? Maybe I picked up some wierd bug over the summer...
Anyway, the storm has abbatted for now, so no need to worry.

Firestorm><<Well, something DID happen. Some guy walked into the hospital where my dad works carrying a shotgun. No shots were fired, but my dad saw him walking in the door.>> O_o...uh, ooookay... I don't know about you, but that would freak me out pretty bad... What'd your dad do?

Jewell - Good luck with grad school! :)

Warpmind><<By the way, I'm a goat>> I'm a dog, and a good friend of mine is a pig. Who comes up with these things, anyway? Whoever it was, they had an evil sense of humor...

In parting, who is the Villian in charge, and how would an RP character get in touch with him/her/it?

**RP HERE**

The four Nazis charge Shap and Shauna, swagger sticks waving. "Get those niggas!" Norman commands his three subordinates. Shap and Shauna immediately slash out with their knives, ripping open the eyes of Andrew and Ian. "OW!" they both scream and fall over, blinded and bleeding to death. "Zarah, get the girl!" Norman growls. "I'll take the other one." The female Nazi nods and leaps at Shauna, who tries to slash her but misses. Soon the Nazi has knocked her back into the closet and they are in a huge catfight. Shap ignores this, faced with Norman, who is now laughing at him. "Recognize this?" the head WCOC Nazi chuckles, holding up a familiar scabbarded longsword. "When you were brought in, I took it off your body. Fitting, isn't it, that I use your own weapon to send you to hell?" Shap only smiles. "Go right ahead." He then kneels and bows his head. Norman frowns for a moment, then chuckles. "Okay, stupid darkie. If that's the way you want it." He then puts his hand on the sword hilt, pulls, and screams. "Aargh!" Shap laughs. "Don't you know evil people aren't even supposed to try pulling a holy avenger out of its sheath?" Norman shakes and falls over, killed by the shock of not being able to draw the paladin's sword. Shap gets up and takes it from his cold hands and then pulls out the blade, whispering a quick thanks to God for getting it back to him. Shauna has meanwhile used a gymnastic tumble to throw Zarah out of the closet and across the room. The girl pulls back a familiar bowstring and shoots the female Nazi with an arrow through the brain as she is getting back up. "Where'd you get that?" Shap asks, glad his girlfriend has her weapon back. "They put it in the closet," Shauna replies. "I just didn't see it at first because it was behind the door. Look out!" Shap immediately turns to face another bunch of WCOC charging him and uses his sword to cut them down. Shauna keeps the rest back with arrows. On the other side of the auditorium, the other half of the evil church's members continues to battle the Green Baron and Atilla the Hun.

**END RP FIRST HALF**

Greetings to everyone. Hope you've been having a good weekend. I have, except for the fact that I haven't been getting much feedback. :( Just one letter about the latest story so far, just as there was only one about the story before that. I'm thrilled people have given both stories five stars, but it just doesn't feel worth it to write them if those people won't tell me why. So, because of this, I'm still on break. Not sure when I'll pick the saga up again, hope it starts feeling worthwhile and interesting again soon.

**BEGIN SPOILERS AND REVIEW FOR THE FILM STIGMATA**

Kit and I saw the movie Stigmata last night. It was a very good film. I could see why the Catholic Church was against it (and why our newspaper critic, who I'm pretty sure is Catholic, gave it a really bad review), but that didn't spoil the movie at all. It had a decent plot, great preformances by the three principal actors (Gabriel Byrne did an especially good job), and was much scarier than either Blair Witch or Sixth Sense. This was due to its visuals mostly, the film definitely should get a cinematography award. It also had a message about God we could agree with, and that's a wonderful thing. Also had a nice soundtrack. The only really bad bit about it was the script, which needed some work (they never told us what happened to Andrew and Frankie when it was all over and there were a few plot holes as well). Despite this, we recommend the film. 7.9/10, thumbs up.

**STIGMATA SPOILERS END**

Deuce: Glad you and your friend have patched things up. Good luck with your new semester (same to all who are starting one). Thanks for the X-Files info. And once again, welcome back!

Mara: Welcome! And I look forward to reading your upcoming fic.

Heather: Congrats on your new job.

Coyote: I too think you would make a great teacher. These people at your local music school obviously know zip. Maybe you should try going to another school for the degree where the people are more understanding and supportive of their students. Of course, a place like that might be a little out of your price range. And you've said you no longer want to do it, so... <sighs> Oh well, whatever happens, I wish you luck. :)

SJ: Kit and I agree with you about Vamp Hunter D, we thought it was a pretty good movie. The character development was our favorite thing about it, especially on the females. As for Get Real, we didn't watch it because the previews made it look like awful. Were they right?

Videogame Endings: Kitainia's right, the lack of good endings to games these days is an unfortunate trend. The only recent games I can think of with great endings are Lunar Silver Star, Metal Gear Solid, and another RPG called Persona. The original two Lunar games also had good endings of course, as did Duke Nukem 3d (IMO), Xenogears, Warcraft 2 (especially the orc ending), and a few other games. But they're declining in number these days. <sighs> David G, I congratulate you on having the chance to write a videogame. Hope you'll give it a good ending as well as beginning and storyline. I think I agree with most gamers that if a game's gonna be great there has to be something worth seeing after the final boss. :)

Xanathar: System Shock 2. Hmm. Sounds like I should check that game out. Thanks for the recommendation.

Green Baron: $ Strom-Ra the Ever-Living? Hahahahahahhahahaha!!! Thanks for the great laugh. $

Jewel: Congrats on getting into graduate school, good luck succeeding in it.

Don't have Final Fantasy 8 yet, I'm waiting for the rush to die out before I buy so I can be sure there'll be a game available (and the price will be a little lower too). I will get it though. Probably not going to get a Dreamcast any time soon, I'm also waiting for the price to drop on it (and for them to come out with some games that I will enjoy playing, whether Final Fight style, strategy, or RPG.

Spacebabie: You're Year of the Dragon? Cool! Kit and I are both Sheep (in year, not personality. :) 1979.

Mary: Glad things are continuing to go well between Bahemut and yourself.

Happy birthday Shogun Raptor!

And that's all for now. Hope this goes through (s8 was down earlier). Later!

**RETURNING TO THE RP**

Elena screams "Die!" at Agent Tau and empties an entire clip of her assault rifle at him. Due to his extremely good moving ability, she hits nothing but air. "Whoa, Elena!" Kit stops the Hispanic girl from firing again. "He's in Agent Ripowski's body! Do you want to kill our friend?" "That's right!" Tau chuckles. "You can't hurt me, and even if you could, you'd just be killing your friend Agent Ripowski! I am invincible, Ravens! You best surrender to me, if you want to remain alive!" "Forget it, Tau!" Doug snaps. "We don't know the meaning of the word surrender! Uh, I mean, we know what it means, we're not dumb. But in this context- oh, never mind." Tau points his pistol at them. "You have one chance to come with me before I shoot you all." "Shut up!" Jaden screams, leaping at Tau with axe extended. The agent's fist shoots out and knocks the werewolf back into a wall. Jaden grimaces as he stands up with bleeding head. "You..." "Doug," Keith stammers as he looks at Tau. "We have to surrender. That guy is blocking the only way out of the room." "We can't do that, man!" Tom protests. "I didn't come here to leave you all behind!" "But how can we beat him?" Jammer asks. "He's taken over Janice's body and he's too fast for our bullets or Jaden's leaps!" "And," Kitainia grimaces, "we don't even know where to find the soul crystal we have to smash in order to permanently get rid of this jerk." "That's right!" Tau laughs. "You can not beat me! So surrender! Surrender or die!" "Wait, Tau," Lathrop interjects suddenly, pointing his staff at the villain. "I know something you aren't faster than. Lightning Bolt!"

ROBBY (Re: Spam song) - ROBBIE!!! Sheesh, you just found one of the all time classics of "Monty Python's Flying Circus"... It's from a skit where a couple enters a diner/greasy spoon, and the cook/waitress is listing off the meals they can have, and nearly all of them has at least one mention of Spam in them. All the while, in the background, a horde of Vikings is seated at a long table, chowing down. At one point, they start up this song...

Don't ask me why... Knowing the MP troop, I just watch and laugh where appropriate. :)

Hi, all. Quick post comin' up.

Spacebabie: Who in the name of lutefisk is Meioh Setsuna? All I know is that my birthday is shared with Winona Ryder (Woohoo), though the year differs. By the way, I see you're turning 23 this year. Well, I'm turning a hund...twenty, so if you can find a celeb for October 29th '79, hmmm? By the way, I'm a goat. And no jokes ,please. I'm talking about the Chinese calendar. Earth Goat, is it not?

Gods, I'm babbling again.

As for the Anime debate... I've seen... one anime film, I believe... something abotu a guy killing some chicks brother, then going three centuries back to arrive on Earth, our time, then the polar caps melted, and soem nuclear power plants detonated... it's been a while since I saw it. Hey, we don't get much Japanese animation to Norway, gimme a break. (Actually, I have a friend who bought eight Anime movies on VHS... only to discover he got the NSTC edition... Norway runs on PAL, poor sot.)

Oooo, hey, I finally got to see Rain Man. Quite an event of amusement. Dustin Hoffman must have been studying a LOT for that role. Funny thing is, before I saw that film, I never even considered that there are 1209600 seconds in two weeks... ouch.

Well, gotta go.

David G: Dude, good luck on writing that video game! Cool!

MTV awards: I *knew* there was a reason I stopped watching award shows... and stopped listening to the radio.

Guilty secret: ...but I have to confess, I actually kinda like "La Vida Loca"... <covers face in shame>

GB: heh. It is a good thing I wasn't armed. Being awoken at 8 am and then waking to see construction workers peering in on me in my bed did not a happy Jewel make.

Guess what? I've decided to go to grad school. I'm going
to apply to UVA. Applications are due January 1st, and by then, I should have my Virginia residency, making it easier for me to get in. I've decided to do an English major, although I'm torn between an MA (Master of Arts) or an MFA (Master of Fine Arts). The MFA would basically be a creative writing masters, and to even be considered, I'd have to submit 2 pieces of fiction. I don't know if January 1st is time enough for me to have two good things written--I can't use my fanfic, since that would take waaaay to much to explain the characters and the background. Arg. I've got a bunch of things I could work on, but I don't know if I could have them done by then. (If I do it, however, I can tell everyone right now, "Apokalypsis" gets shelved until January.) But I'm really torn. I'd love to do the MFA, but I don't know if I'm good enough--I took a playwriting class last semester, and only managed a 2.0 (for many reasons). That makes me nervous, so I'm afraid to even try. I'm also paranoid about maybe not even being *accepted*, since my grades at Bryn Mawr stank to high heaven, thanks to me having no direction. I have direction now, and I know that makes all the difference--I finally know what I want to do with my life: get my PhD and become a professor. My passionate loathing of the real world was that high that I want to return to academia. ANyway, to make a long story short, I know what I want to do, but I'm scared silly about not getting in to the school or program I want. And can any of y'all know of some good graduate schools? I have no idea of anything beyond UVA, and back-ups are good things.

Anime/Manga section:
Princess Mononoke: I am *so* there when it comes out. it's the the only movie I've had any desire to see as of late.

Pokemon: Any of you out there read "Pulp" magazine? It's subtitle is "Manga for grown-ups" and is put out every month by the same people as do Animerica...only, like it says, it's for grown-ups. It has Sho Fumimura's [Buronson] (he wrote "Sanctuary" and "Fist of the North Star") and Ryoichi Ikemami's (he illustrated "Sanctuary," "Mai, the Psychic Girl," and "Crying Freeman") latest collaboration, "Strain." Anyway, my point. There's an editorial in there, and the last three issues, the guy has been talking about the "Pokemon" phenomenom. You Pokemon fans out there might want to read it.

Sanctuary: David G, keep reading. There are some *major* twist coming up, and Asami is about to become the focus...and man, does *he* ever get *really* cool. The anime only covers the first 2 books, and the live-action covers the first three...and then ends with "To be continued." Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh.

x/1999: THe anime was amazing. The opening sequence blew me away. I put it up there with the opening in "Ghost in the Shell," it was that well done.

WHEE! That was fun ... thanks for the ride, Mara. Now I just gotta get the GFW to work for me so I can read the MSTing ...

Deuce, Mandi: My ex-girlfriend's brother would certainly agree to that ... he was my one student.

Kaioto: I forgot to mention this yesterday ... but after leaving college I *did* have two students ... but they chose not to continue, and then I got my job at the store, and I couldn't have a regular time to teach any longer ...

Cherryblossom: As I'm sure you saw the e-mail, it's no biggie, an easy mistake to make. You're forgiven. **hugs**

SJ: I wish I had your resolve ...

Warpmind: Whaddya mean, "ghastly bad??" Put that puppy in the Gathering filkbook next year!

Deuce again, re: Canadian TV: Depends on what you're lookin' for. I myself will take "Hockey Night in Canada" every time over ESPN National Hockey Night, mainly because I can't stand the sound of the ESPN announcer's voice.

Spike: Awww, that's so cuuuute!! **sigh** Too bad the only 'possums I tend to see around here are lumps on the St. John's Abbatoir ... errh, I mean Marsh. :)

Zodiac signs: I've said it once, I'll say it again ... the Libras are gonna rule the world eventually, folks. :)

Robby, re: Garg outback: Figuring by the outbacks that actually showed up in The Maxx (main ones being Maxx's personal outback and the ones he met Gen13 and the Dragon in), they're usually governed by the surroundings of the outback's owner. (Gen13, it was a comatose little girl. Dragon, it was Dragon's own dreamscape, which would explain the giant Rapture with the hordes of baby Dragons and Raptures running out from between her legs ... oops, maybe I shoulda put a warning before that. :)
So let's see ... right now I can only think of Lex's outback ... it'd probably be a techno-Phillip K. Dick nightmare, with castles and knights dispersed within the data streams and such.

Oh no, only 19 posts since yesterday! TGS is dying! (Heh, seriously though, I think out record is no posts in 14 hours that one time Dumlao had a serious rant. I recall posting "Gee Dumlao, I think you scared everyone off." Those were the days...)

MTV music awards- Actually, I never watch MTV for anything except th ecartoons, and even those aren't any good anymore... (I miss The Maxx... "To these people it seems strange, for rather than chasing an Iz who is a servent to the insidious Mr. Gone, it looks to them as if I'm chasing a 98 year old grandmother.... Or maybe its because I just said that all out loud..." AH, that was a great time... (Can you just imagine one of the gargs doing that? Hmm, I wonder what a garg's Outback would be like, considering their dream states...

Wilek- Thanks for the Zelda 64 summary when you send it.

Warpmind- Cool filk, especially considering you did it in your sleep! Couple of bits that could use some work, but cool nonetheless... In fact, I'll even include a link to "Goldfinger"... Its a Geocities addy so I can't make it a name link, but this addy should give it to you.

http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Location/9256/Midis/007goldfing.mid

Exin- This is indeed a wierd place.

9-9-99... Hmm. I seem to have survived just fine.

Spike- Possums eh? Hmm, we get those at our house every year. THey live right under our porch usually... (I have to wonder if its the same family returning every year?)

**Suden visions of "A Goofy Movie" and Lester's Possum Park come to mind...** Eee...

Aaron- SOunds like a cool movie preview. Why'd you have to get our hopes up tho?

Spacebabie- Actually, there's a secret conspiracy of Leos ruling the world. This has come up before and even played into the RP...

**RP HERE: THE CYBER SMURF SAGA**

The evil creature chuckles. "THe entire dozen of you have so far managed to TOUCH my tail..." He smiles as his tail grows back.
"Oh geez, he can regenerate too? THis is NOT good..."
The Dark Rangers sneer. "You fools are too nice. We would have killed this thing already. Watch this..." The dark Red Ranger sneers and leaps at the cyber-smurf, weapon drawn.
The smurf looks away, casually raises his right arm into the air, and sends a one handed fireball at the dark red ranger. He is disintegrated before he can even scream.
Looks of shock fill the room.
"Ohhhh spit..."
"Are you fools going to fight or are you just going to die?"

Elsewhere, Jim's clone has finally gotten the hang of walking, when he finds out where everyone went. "Battle huh? I guess I should join it..." And so he begins to RUN towards the battle. Not get in a transport and fly there, but RUNS...

Narrator: "This October the Hunters will be busy." I'm like oh please oh please oh please. If I hear Carl Johnson music in the next ten seconds, I will be the happiest person on earth. Sadly this is not to be. It's a preview for something called Bats. Fairly lame looking.

My 9/9/99 day was a little unusual. My boys and I caught a little possum in the front flowerbed. Poor little thing, it played dead in the cat carrier until we gave it some water and fed it bananas and hotdogs. This morning, we took it to my son's school where it was shown around the 2nd grade classrooms. Here's a serendipitious note: They were preparing to study a unit on nocturnal animals, which includes possums. While I was holding him, the possum had his tail wrapped around my arm and I couldn't help but think of all the times I described the same behavior in baby gargoyles. *L* Weird, huh?

We let the possum go later at the neighborhood pond, which is probably pretty close to where he came from in the first place. It's fed from a creek that runs all along the houses. All in all, an interesting experience!

Few replies on this dull, dull morning....

Starship Troopers: Another reason it sucks to get Canadian TV: no decent American channels. I'm petitioning Space and Comedy Network to show MST3K, but it isn't working. :-/

"Size vs. proportion": I've been saying that forever.

Wilek re: teflon bullets> ["Wouldn't that just stop stuff from sticking to the bullet...?"] No, it actually penetrates more bulletproof "armour", believe it or not. Green bullets look rather strange, though....

Hi, everyone.

Gone a day 'cause my knee was hurting, and bad. But it's okay now.

Main event of the day: I just can't let you guys hang there, just waiting for the Timedancer filk to wind up in Avalon Mists... I'll submit it here, now, if there be no objections? (Like anyone can prevent me anyhew.)

**WARNING! NOTORIOUSLY BAD FILK COMING UP!**
*Warpmind digs into his pocket and pulls up a small black box with a crystal attached to it.*
"This is the Holographic Music Video Recorder. With optional lyric modification."
*Music begins to play in the background, it's the old Goldfinger theme, and the voice of Shirley Basset starts to float into reality, as does her image. In the background, Brooklyn is flashing in and out of reality in great balls of fire.*

Timedancer.
He's the garg, the garg with the Phoenix Gate.
A magical thing.
He's the Timedancer.
He moves through time and he has no control.
He dances on.

Handsome and red with horns and a beak,
Trapped in time and unable to speak,
Of the future he knows when he's been there,
And he dances again...

Mister Timedancer.
On a joyride through time with no control.
Time takes its toll.

Handsome and red with horns and a beak,
Trapped in time and unable to speak,
Of the future he knows when he's been there,
And he dances again...

Mister Timedancer.
On a joyride through time with no control.
Time takes its toll.

He's dancing through time,
With the Gate.
Phoenix Gate.
With the Phoenix Gate,
Straight through time.
Timedancer.

*The music and Shirley Basset slowly fade out of sight, as well as Brooklyn-the-Timedancer. Warpmind steps out of sight and returns the hologram to his pocket.*
"Told you it was pretty bad, folks."
**GHASTLY, BAD FILK OVER NOW, FOLKS. YOU CAN COME OUT OF HIDING NOW!"

Anyway, Sarge, when it comes to the test of wit... I must confess, many of the jokes I come up with in daily conversation are simply stolen from movies and TV shows. But frankly, I believe I have more guts than you do. (I didn't have my appendix removed.)

In any case, here's a line I'll bet Puck has ALWAYS wanted to convince Owen to say:

"I'm terribly sorry, but I just spotted mr. Xanatos and Fox sneak into the bedchamber. But if you could call back in thirty seconds, I'm sure he's available."

Well, now that nosy teacher is back, so I'll have to call it a day.

Later, everyone.

Bored tonight. Might as well annoy you guys some more.

Mandolin: It's a pretty commonly known fact in Hollywood that Will Smith is the very definition of WHIPPED. He doesn't wear the pants in that marriage...which is the reason why you always see them together--he can't get away from her! I hate to sound sexist like that, but goshdern it, a guy's got to have some of his own space now and again. If he was kissing her ass, it's standard procedure. I feel sorry for the guy.

Starship Troopers: I suggest you try to find it on a local syndicated station. Sci-Fi has "screwed the pooch", if you will, with their airings of the show. I had to switch to a local UPN channel where the show is syndicated; they at least get the continuity somewhat straight. If the show's not syndicated in your area....unfortunately, I suppose you'll have to suffer through Sci-Fi's mis-airings. I have a guide to the first couple of arcs, if anybody wants it. Just drop me an email.

I had no idea that much blood could fit in a human-sized body. <G> <<Music and Art are DEFINATELY not appreciated in schools. Many students LOVE those classes, and in some schools (Dearborn High, for example) art teachers and art students alike have to pay out of thier own pocket for class suplies. But the sports teams get FREE uniforms.>> Ugh. A friend of mine went to a school that was a perfect example of this. For some reason, every school I have ever heard of has appreciated sports far more than any achievement that is worth pursuing. The kid who was smart in music, science, art, and math got psychologically (and often physically) tormented, while the mindless jocks (many of whom were responsible for the torment) were worshipped by student body and faculty alike. I have no idea why sports are so popular. If I want to see ppl beating each other up, I'll watch Jerry Springer, which at least has a sense of humor (if a fairly twisted and revolting one). <<Work: The people are jerking us around. They are REALLY pushing LM to finish two pictures for them. (Repairing and touching up two HORRIBLY done and HORRIBLY mangled pictures.) They will probally want them for free because they "will use me for all there future computer needs." Oh yeah? Prove it. Buy that server that you need if you are going to use me for that stuff. I hate to be pushy, but they have been stalling for 2 months on this, and now it's time to put up or I get out.>> <sigh> So many of us seem to have bad luck with this kind of thing--getting shafted in jobs, education, and the like. Sometimes I wonder if the beautiful chaos of our insanity doesn't come at a price, or perhaps we're under a curse. <<Starship Troopers: Oh, I HAVE to get that title song MP3ed!>> It is kinda neat. It rather struck me as a somewhat odd (but rather kewl) remix of some classical song. Of course, I'm weird anyhow... Smurf> I remember that. I love that comic. ^_^ (I wonder what it says about me that I've read every single issue of it...)

Gaming fans, be afraid> Word is, Microsoft is working on a video game console. Yup. Normally, I don't mind them, but this news scares me somehow. They're officially denying it, presumably so as not to disrupt their deal with Sega (the DC runs on the MS Windows CE operating system), but there is a *lot* of evidence to show that they're doing this. <shudder>

Oh, and happy ninesday, everyone! ^_^

Sarge> <<Barney: " Now Demona, do you really want to kill me? I know! How about a song! I love you! You love me....AIUGH no! GAK!" (barney dies....hehehehe...)>> ARTISTS. PICTURE. NOW. ;P j/k

Weird bit> I saw a most interesting commercial on Cartoon Network a while back. Something about four kids and their Great Dane disappearing in the woods near Burkettsville, Maryland or something to that effect. Heh heh heh heh heh...

Bondage Fairies> I can just see it: "When you lose a tooth, put it under your pillow, the Bondage Fairy may leave you a whip or a nice set of handcuffs..."

Deuce> <<DREAMCAST!!!!>> <Jerry Lewis voice> FEINDOTENLEIVENSHCOIYLE!!! :P <<You remember that?! Betcha didn't know that Alanis Morissette had a recurring role on it.>> Actually, the first time I ever heard of her, other than when I saw her on the show (and had no idea exactly who she was) was on some kind of entertainment news show thingie that told about that. :)

Mandolin> Jackhammers> ACK. Having fairly sensitive hearing, I can just imagine what you're going through. Poor thing. How would you like them killed? >:) <<Dad isn't home, but I'm really tempted to unleash an angry father with expertise on hearing loss on the administrator who decided this one.>> Do it, if at all possible. These idiots deserve all the misery you can level at them.

Gunjack> <<How about when someone needs a "teflon-coated sniper round" in a high-powered rifle to kill someone through a kevlar vest?>> O_o Wouldn't that just stop stuff from sticking to the bullet...? <<Dude, I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You are one screwed-up dude. Be sure to stay that way...:) >> <bows> Why thank you. >:) <<Oh, and what would be #666?>> Me. 8P j/k Actually, probably the adult xenomorph would be #666, and the Queen would be #667.

David G> <<He has all the tapes up until the climax of the big martial figureskating match.>> Martial...figure skating...? <blink> Well, Sailor Moon did it... <<One of my co-workers asked me today if I would be interested in writing a video game.>> :O Dude...I have always wanted to create a video game. That would be just so kewl...I even wrote up an idea for a Castlevania game once. But it'll never happen. :/

SJ> <<I shall say this now, and get it over with: ROCK IS DEAD.>> Hm...maybe now classical gothic will finally get the attention it deserves...? ^_^

Robby> <<Considering I don't have an N64, and am not likely ever to, anm so even less likely to ever play Zelda 64 for more than a few minutes, you care to let me in on the ending?>> Sure thing (and I'll give you much of the rest of the storyline as well, since it's so kewl). ^_^ I'll mail it to you, since I'd rather not spoil the various surprises in here. :)

[The cybersmurf has failed to notice the Dark Rangers entering the ring, so he is most surprised when he hears the Jade Ranger's war cry from behind him... "MOKATSUKU BANZAIII!" Brown Ranger: "You're our opponent? <laughs> Ye can't be serious, lad." Smurf: "It doesn't matter how many of you come here or how much larger you are than I am. Quickie before I crash for the evening.

The construction situation> They cut it out around 3 pm, thank goodness, but I talked to one of the guys working there and he said they'd be back to finish it up around 7 am. 7 AM. And Friday is the morning I usually get to sleep in a bit... At least I got earplugs. Dad isn't home, but I'm really tempted to unleash an angry father with expertise on hearing loss on the administrator who decided this one.

The MTV video awards. Ahh, yes. I missed the first half hour, and watched the rest. I can safely say that I don't listen to most of the artists who were nominated or won. Ricky Martin looked stoned. The Fatboy Slim video shouldn't have won for dance, but I was just laughing my head off at their performance. I still like the song, but the dancers... *snerk* And when Will Smith won - you KNOW he was in deep sh*t with his wife over something the way he kissed her ass in his acceptance speech. Chris Rock... well, he did NOT have a lot to work with, and he was right on the money a couple times (calling Fatboy Slim "White-boy retarded", and regarding Regis - "What the hell is he doing here?") The high point: While I was watching it, Britney Spears didn't win a thing. :)

Okay, I'm really tired, so that must be all. Tomorrow's Friday... and while it's still before midnight, happy 9/9/99 to you all...

Happy 9/9/99 folks!

Well, I finally got the Sonic anime today, and was quite dissapointed in ADV films, as they did NOT release a subbed version of the thing! I've heard the original voices, they were great despite eing Japanese! The voices they got for the dub... Well, I can honestly say I never pictured Sonic with a British accent before, and I've never been more annoyed by Tails in my life... **Sigh** I had been SO looking forward to this video too. At least the music, animation, and fight with Mecha Sonic, however brief, was good...

And since we had a storm here earlier that threatened to kill all the power or start a power surge, I had to stay off the computer. So I watched "Enemy Mine" on the sci-fi channel. Pretty good flick considering its 15 years old, though the last half hour was typical action/adventure garbage. AH well...

Starship Troopers- Well, the series itself is good, but their airings have a few problems. FOr one, they're only showing 5 episodes over and over, and for another, they're showing them out of order! They still haven't shown the conclusion of the Pluto arc!

Wilek- Considering I don't have an N64, and am not likely ever to, anm so even less likely to ever play Zelda 64 for more than a few minutes, you care to let me in on the ending?

Mara- Eh, I don't really care for Xellos... But then, I haven't seen all 8 tapes of Slayers NEXT yet so I don't know what his deal is...

And Coyote's right, size isn't the only factor, proportion is. I like Lina myself.

But please, don't throw any more Dragon Slaves around the CR, those things are dangerous!

Fire Storm- One of the rules I have yet to add is the Evangaleon Exclusion Principle... Neon Genesis is exempt from almost all anime laws, but never more than five at a time.

Deuce- I didn't LET the sanity escape, it did that on its own...

DREAMCAST!

Heh, felt like joining in. But, I probably won't be getting one anytime soon. I am not forking over 240 bucks JUST for SOnic Adventure, much as I love the hedgehog... As it is, there aren't any other games available. I'm more likely to get a 100 buck N64 for Zelda and Starfox... Or a 100 buck Playstation for all those RPGS...

Johnny- I normally don't mind, but when people ask for the umpteenth time when new episodes are coming when the response has always been that we just don't know quite yet, and I've answered the question almost twice a week, it gets aggrivatin... And TGS isn't quite the adventure you might think... Its fun, but at times...

Jewel- "Here is Greenwood"... Heh heh. FUn series.

Gunjack- You're not the only one overwhelmed by all the newbies...

SJ- Mononoke October 29th? (Marks calander) ANd then Pokemon is November 12th... Its gonna be an ANIMEted fall!

Eh, that seems to about everything... RP time!

**RP HERE- THE CYBER SMURF SAGA**

The cyber smurf arcs an eyebrow at his oncoming attackers. SJ kicks at the small creature (its only a foot tall, punching would be difficult) and seems to connect, only for the smurf to vanish.
"Huh? WHere'd he go?" SJ asks before getting knocked in the back of the head. "Aw geez, not again!"
Kari moans as she has also been hit. "He's quick, I'll give him that. We attacked him and he hit us in back..."
Even though his face can not be seen through his mask, Black Tiger is clearly stunned. "The legends did not exagerate the creature's sheer power..."
"Bob Dole does not know any legends about smurfs," Tuxedo Dole begins, his top hat missing, having been effortlessly knocked off by the smurf while he was attacking SJ and Kari.
A growl, a non cat-like growl, begins to come from the Black Tiger as he prepares to rush the Smurf. He moves quickly and charges up energy in his gauntlets, and slams his fist down into the Smurf, driving it into the floor and sending debris everywhere. "I hit him! YES!"
The smurf sighs. "I stood still and thats the best you could do?" Faster than the eye can follow, the cyber smurf's fist goes up into Black Tiger's chest, cracking his armor and knocking him to the ground. Black Tiger gasps for breath and clutches at his now pained stomach.
"This... Is not good..." SJ begins. "He's fast and he's powerful... We can't just use brute strength on him, we'll have to try something else..."

SJ and Kari both turned to face the smurf now that the evil blue being had taken care of the ratatat problem that he himself
created. "I still can't believe this," SJ says in disbelief. "I mean--he's a smurf! A *smurf*. I thought they were supposed to
be lovable and cute and peaceful. Not homicidal megalomaniacs with enough raw power to fuel a small sun!"
"We can still take him down," Kari said confidantly, although her voice wavered. "We've been through a lot; we're pretty
tough ourselves. And I'm *not* going to have the final chapter of my life end with 'death by smurf'."
"Smote by a Smurf, that's got to be embarassing," SJ agreed. "Still, the little bugger has one heck of a right cross."
"Bob Dole knows one thing!" Tuxedo Bob Dole exclaimed. "Bob Dole may have lost the election, but he's ready to kick
some blue ass!"
The other two nodded, and with a cry, they all rushed at the smurf at once....

Entertainment News!!!!
Couple of interesting tidbits in today's news- It looks as if it is now being CONFIRMED that actor Sean Bean, best known
to us Yanks for his roles in "Ronin" and as the evil 006 in "Goldeneye", has been cast in the role of BOROMIR. This,
coupled with the recent casting of Legolas and Gimli, brings the "Fellowship" to a close. So far, I must say I'm quite pleased
with Peter Jackson's casting. He fought the good fight and actually got the people he wanted to be cast, instead of having to
eat company crow and cast popular Hollywood types (for example, Keanu Reeves at one time wanted the part of
Strider/Aragorn. Can you imagine if the studio had forced Jackson to cast him? <O . o>) Instead he's filled the films with
either a)very talented veteran actors (like Ian McKellen, Ian Holm, and Christopher Lee) or b)very talented "unknowns" (I
say unknowns because they are largely unknown to American viewers, not to imply they are inexperienced).
To see a visual representation of the cast so far, click on my name to go to a link that'll show you who's who.

Also, it finally appears as if Dogma has a U.S. distributor. Lion's Gate picked it up, and it comes out Nov 12, just 3 days
before my B-day. Hopefully I can go check it out as a b-day present to meself....

Coyote: Others have already said, in better words, what I also feel about your talent. I can tell just by listening to you that
you have a real passion for music, that it's in your blood. So what if somebody says you aren't good enough, they're wrong.
To be perfectly offensive, f*** them. I can vouch from experience that a lot of colleges, and definitely college professors, out
there seem to spend most of their time thinking up inventive ways to screw the students over. Don't let those SOBs take
away your desire to teach. If you're good at it--and I have absolutely no doubt in this world that you are--you shouldn't give
a damn what a few naysayers tell you, no matter how "prestigious" or "educated" they are. Do that which you love, bro.
Teach music, play music, let it be your life. Don't let your dreams be raped away from you by a bunch of pompous a-holes
who don't know what they're talking about..

Speaking of music.....just got finished watching the MTV music awards. **DEEP sigh** Well, I am honestly surprised. I
didn't think that it was possible to put on such a banal award show, but I was wrong. What did this year's MTV awards give
us? "Artists" devoid of talent, lame jokes/performances, and a bunch of people winning awards they shouldn't win/don't even
deserve to be nominated for.
First off, let's look at Chris Rock. I'll give him credit, he's a funny guy--usually. Sometimes he falls flat on his ass, though.
Most of his stuff tonight wasn't that great....well, that and the crowd wasn't laughing (I guess some of those Ricky Martin
jokes cut a little too close to the quick, huh?). I suppose I can't really blame him, though. This show was so poorly put
together and downright awkward, he frequently had to pan for time--he even told us he was doing so. Still, he didn't do that
great a job, although I suppose I'll cut him some slack and say he did the best he could under the kind of circumstances he
had to perform in.
As for the artists......I shall say this now, and get it over with: ROCK IS DEAD. It died along the way somewhere, and what
we are left with is horrible bubble-gum pop music and hip hop and rap and rap posing as some sort of bastardized "new
school" heavy metal (wake up call--if you have a rap song, adding a electric guitar to the background does NOT make it
heavy metal, okay?). All I saw was those individuals who I see as everything that is wrong with the music
industry--Backstreet Boyz, Eminem, N*Sync, 98 Degrees, Britney Spears (even though she's cute), Puff Daddy, Korn, Limp
Bizkit, Ricky Martin, and ESPECIALLY Kid Rock (f-in' piece of white-trash trailer park @#$&!, I'll get you and your little
f-in midget...) The only thing that I can possibly say about all those individuals that gives me one iota of hope is that they're all
flavors of the month--they'll all be gone in about a year from now, hopefully never to return.
I won't even go into how screwed up the actual awards where....how people who shouldn't ever get nominated won
everything....I mean Jesus, they gave best dance video to those retards from that Fatboy Slim song? (I hate the whole
concept of a "best dance" category altogether, but give it at least to somebody who is attempting to actually dance, like Ricky
Martin, don't give it to those spastics flayling around in the Slim video! They look like they're in the middle of a goddamn
epileptic seizure!)
The only good thing--the ONLY good thing (well next to seeing Christina Aguileres....damn she can't just be 18!)--in the
show was Nine Inch Nails performance (although, like my seemingly psychic friend Xanathar predicted, he was in the later
hours of the show ;). Trent gives us some new music after years of doing little more than producing or scoring for feature
films. It even seemed as if the crowd actually got into the song after awhile. Personally, I would have loved for Trent to
perform "Starf***ers Inc.", but that was perhaps a little too caustic. "My god's a shallow little b!tch trying to make the
scene...."

hi all!

*rolls her eyes* I had hoped to be in here more than once a week, but? i've been working on too many things lately.

ok I just kinda scanned the room and skipped quite a bit, so I don't have to much to post about right about now.

Coyote< I'm sorry, I didn't notice the name change, between Rayvn and Ryvnn, but I tried. If you tried to send something to me, I never got it though. Sorry

Dark Water< I love that show!!!! I used to watch it every day!! but once I actually got a job, I stopped watching it and never noticed it got taken away. that sucks!

Does anybody know why ABC has been changing their Saturday morning prgramming so much? it annoys the heck outa me! I've not had to much to do with it lately bcuz I can't keep track of whats on and when.

Sevarius< I'm reading the Prophet right now, but I'm also reading the visitation. I absolutely love that book! I think I like the Visitaion a little better. The Oath gave me nightmares for weeks and weeks, so bad I couldn't even finish reading it, but that could also be becuz I read about 300 or so pages of the thing in one day at night too. so who knows?

well, if I missed anything at all, I'm sorry. Gotta go now, bye!

Hi everybody. I'm supposed to be re-writing Freelance episode 4, but I'm not quite ready to start yet. The thing is, episode 3 really changed James' character, so a lot of what he did in episode 4 (Which, for those not paying attention, was almost finished before I wrote episode 3) doesn't work any more.

Ick.

So, to kill some time, here are a few random comments.
Anime/Manga
X/1999 is amazing. Harsh Mistress TV, a group that does Anime music videos, did a version of Lorena Mackennit's "Bonny Swans" to it. Wow. I've never seen the movie, but I've read about half of the manga.

Vampire Hunter D. The first tape I ever bought. It has some problems (You can't leave two little bitemarks on someone's neck when your mouth opens wider than her head) , but over all, a good story.

Sanctuary. I've never seen the Anime, but I've read the first three Manga trade paperbacks. Good stuff. Kind of like a Tarrentino movie, but with a plot.

Ranma 1/2. I have leveled an eternal bloodcurse against my best friend over this series. He has all the tapes up until the climax of the big martial figureskating match. Then he has the next episode AFTER the end of the fight. His soul is forfet...

On the other hand, maybe I should just buy the tape myself.

Writing
Freelance 4. I'll try to get the bulk of it hacked out tonight. I figure it will take me about a week to finish the whole thing, then send it to Delphi for editing.

"Real" writing. My next project is to rewrite an old short story. I sent it off to my writer's group, and they liked everything except for the main character and the narrative style. Observant readers will realize at this point that fixing those problems involves a total rewrite.

Out of the blue. One of my co-workers asked me today if I would be interested in writing a video game. He and a friend are going to do the code, and I'm going to do the pretty words and pictures. This is all the information I have to release at this time, since I only heard about this four hours ago. Oh, except that the other guy, not the guy I work with, knows one of the distribution execs at Wal-mart, and may be able to get Wal-mart to sell the game in their stores.

I hope this works out, but I'm not holding my breath. It would be cool, though. I bet if you wrote a video game, you can get in to Cons as a guest. :)

Totally random. (SJ might enjoy this one, it's in his dad's line of work)
I have this really cool idea for how to become a world conquoring super criminal. I want to crossbreed Kudzu and Poison Ivy. Then I'll threaten to release the seeds over cities that refuse to accept my rule. (SFX- Maniacal laughter)

OK, enough time wasted. I'll talk to y'all later.

Real post later--

Jewel: Princess Mononoke will be released (hopefully) on October 29th. The original release date was this past July 9th, but was pushed back due to the already hectic summer movie schedule.
(I almost wish it had come out in early July, it certainly would have been a more welcome alternative than having to suffer--and I mean suffer--through "Wild Wild West".)

*****************************!!!MY FIRST RP!!!*******************************
Somewhere in space, the eternal void is sundered as a small scout craft rips it's way through the fabric of time. Onboard, the three passengers slip out of safety harnesses and try to blink the stars out of their eyes. The pilot, a young man wearing an olive drab jumpsuit, recovers first.
"Crap... Uh, Masters, was that normal?" Behind him, one of the passengers moans, and runs his hands across his legs to make sure they're still there.
"Unhhh...Friggin' war wounds...I think I left part of my leg back in Point Hope." He massages his temples with one hand, and checks his wristcomp. "Actually, that was quite a bit worse than usual... Our target must have skipped threads in transit. Tricky little bugger." Noticing the look of confusion on the pilot's face, he grins. "A rough comparison would be driving your car down the side of a mountian to shake somebody following you. Effective, but very risky."
In the seat next to him, Gunjack Marius Valentine is already interfacing with the ship's computer. His eyes unfocus as his mind is immersed in a sea of data, and he quickly begins scanning through the ship's diagnostics.
"Looks like that one hurt us a bit... We've lost one of the engines, and the point defense system is shot to heck. We've got surface damage to the majority of the hull, and it looks like the jump burned out our long range sensors. Damage Control should have the PD and engine back online in a few hours, but it looks like the sensors are completely fried."
Masters nods. "That's to be expected. Remember though, that our target probably got bounced worse than we did. Valentine, run a scan for debris in the area. There's always the chance that he came apart on entry. Meanwhile, I'll see if I can find out where we've landed..."

Anime: Have any of you seen "X/1999"? *Really* good. the only problem is that they had to truncate the story to make the movie only 2 hours. Another good anime, for you older folks out there--is "Sanctuary," if you can get a hold of the anime version. There's also a live-action, which is even better and tells more of the story (THe Live-action is in Japanese, so don't mistake it for the American film with the same name that came out a while ago). "Vampire Hunter D" is a classic. Classic. And the funniest anime I've ever seen, even more than "Ranma 1/2" is "Here is Greenwood."

Oh, and does anyone know exactly when "Princess Mononoke" is coming out? I saw the trailer and now I *really* want to see it...

Slow day at work so I get to post yea.

Cartoons and Anime. Sorry the story is the most important part to me. That’s why I loved American pop it combines music and a decent story. I mean if you have good animation but a bad story then your just watching eye candy.

Shotgun raptor space train 99 was a decent story better than Ranma ½ (sorry this is animated friends with out Courtney Cox) you know throw in a lot of violence and friends might be animeable hmmmm

Wizards this was a post apocalyptic cartoon movie. Done by Ralph B. (did lord of the rings too) basically the human race had a nuclear war killed each other and almost the world and then the faye folk came back and saved most of it. The fairy queen gave birth to twin sons one a good fairy and one an evil mutant the cartoon is their final conflict. It is a political anti war film. Fritz yea it was x rated but I kinda thought it was a political cartoon. I thought it was trying to make a statement at the time (that or I was really drunk when I saw it one or the other I don’t know). There is a sequel time to rent!

Bondage fairies yep been there done that. If you like twisted tales with erotica broken halo is great I think I posted a link at one time.

There is an anime festival/convention in Atlanta first week in October my friend wants me to go, because this is the first year she is going in costume. One of the slayers characters can’t remember who

Starblazers now there is a cartoon the sci fi channel needs to show. Hmm mabey an email or talk to them at the next convention. Oh wait disney bought the rights didn’t they? If they did I can forget about every seeing them off tape again.

All this anime and cartoon talk is making me want to play champions for some reason go fig.

Last but not least any one remember the max?

BTW, this is sort of delayed, but the rant reminded me of something I found out a few months after the fact: my dad was quoted in U.S. News and World Report. He sent them a ton of info and they only used one quote, but still, he's kind of proud of being quoted. Click my name to go to the article...

Wouldn't have posted now, but I went to class only to find it was canceled for today. So...

**RANT WARNING! PETTY AND MINOR, BUT I'M STILL TICKED!**

Arrgh... thanks to an already canceled class, I was left with no class nor work today until 2 pm. So, naturally, I allowed myself to stay up til 2 am, figuring I could sleep in. WRONG!!! At 7:45 this morning, I was woken up by the incessant chipping of metal against concrete. At 8:30, the sound died away, to be replaced with a jackhammer right below my freaking window!! Some jackass hired some guys to retile the patio by my residence hall all day - and it didn't occur to them that since there were classes, a lot of students wouldn't be able to escape the racket easily by going home! My friend next door is laid up with a broken ankle, and she's not going to be able to run over to the library to study that easily. As I write this, the damn jackhammer is still going, and when I went down at 1 to ask these guys when the hell they were going to stop, they gave me blank looks and said, "What? We just started." If they're not out of here by dinner, I'm rounding up all the other crazy people in this hall and we're going to forcibly drag them off campus. My ears have been ringing all day, and the extra strength Tylenol I took isn't helping.

These guys have hearing protection... dammit, couldn't the college have warned us so we could get earplugs? I'm not right next to the source, but after listening to Dad the audiology expert, I *know* this has to be damaging my hearing.

**END RANT! YOU CAN COME OUT NOW!**

Mara> Read part one. Mwa ha ha! I love it! I really do!

Johnny> <<You should be flattered that people are asking about TGS. I would be. It's not a job..It's an adventure.>> You might not believe this, but there are times when it just feels like a job... **mumbles something incoherent about story dibs**

Deuce> <<I'll bet you'd be a kick-ass teacher. >> Coyote, I second that. :)

I was going to make a much longer post, but I have to get out of the dorm and get as far away from the construction as possible. It feels like my ears are going to bleed if I stay in here any longer.

'Til later!

Apologies for the double post, and for the silliness of the previous post, but I haven't done anything like that in a while ... I needed to get out of my funk, y'know?

Kaioto: You can rest assured that I'm not *about* to do anything rash as a result of my injured self-esteem. This is the main reason why I haven't gone back yet ... that and my student loans coming due.
And actually, my mother told me that she expected when I went back, I'd be going into telecom, which is what I had changed majors to after I'd gotten screwed by the music school.
Hmm ... now that I have ye here ... let's see if you're on IM ...

I just bought it at Costco. :-)

Music: I'm moderately talented at flute, and I know as little as is possible to know about piano and still be able to play "Pop Goes The Weasel" well. :-) I do sing, but you'll get divided opinions on my talent there. My voice and my lyric-writing skills are the only things the band I'm in has use for me. That and my insanity is highly useful to their creative process.

**before Coyote can stand up to stop them, three female figures bust down the door of the CR ... the original Lina Inverse, the Gargoyle Lina Inverse from Kenna Street's AvMists pic, and Coyote's character Lina. Coyote's character comes forth to talk for the whole group**

Mara: Size isn't everything!! I thought Godzilla proved that ... :)

**Coyote approaches all three and tries to herd them out of the room. Three fireballs and an elmekia lance later, Coyote's charred carcass wanders back over to the lawn chair ... but the three Linas have left.**

Unhhh ... please forgive my graphic making of the point, but I though that bringing those three in would be a better way of proving my point that not all men are into huge bust sizes. For me, it's all about proportion ... and relatively speaking Lina's figure is in the correct proportion ... thusly making her (at least to me) attractive.

**eyes the door** That and, if I don't say that my character Lina is gonna shoot a lightning bolt up my @$$, so I'd better agree. **motions to the door** Lina, get back there, I've gotta write you into "Team Delta!!"

**Begin RP**
Not wanting to hurt the guardsmen for following the orders of their superiors, Kaioto has been forced to keep his sword sheathed and attempt to subdue his foes barehanded. Of course, steel toed-boots and Aikido techniques hardly qualify as unarmed.
Wading through the compound while Tom aides the rescue of the Ravens, Kaioto is a marked by the grunts of pain and cries of shock that generally proceed and accompany people being propelled bodily through the air and into one another. Roundhouse kicks flash at the same moment as back-fist strike convert to shoulder throws. The steel and stone walls have begun to dent and crack respectively from all the impacts.
Even with the non-lethal techniques, his hands are becoming spattered with blood from broken noses and scrapes on armor. The amount of pain being generated from the fight laces the aura of the area so much it is sickening. The occasional bullet slamming into the reinforced Kevlar lining of his trench coat has not improved the Seeker’s disposition to this situation either.
**pause RP**

Coyote: *pats on back* *nods* I understand this particular subject better than you might think. Just promise me, no mater what they do to you, you won’t do anything rash. I had an uncle who you’d classify as a failed Art student. He dwelt on this negativity a lot. He also believed he was alone, and had failed at life itself. He was wrong; but by age 10, I didn’t have an uncle anymore. *shakes his head* *hugs* We are here for you, even in the darkest of times.

JackaL: Welcome back. Missed you something awful, pal.

Christine: That is a wonderful sentiment. Good plan. : )

Mara: Nice to have you on board. Coyote directed me to your MySTings in the archives. He’s had nothing but nice things to say about you. : )

Pirates of Dark Water: When they canceled this show without ever getting past the 8th treasure, I was severly disappointed. There was so much left to do with the characters and conflicts (and yes, the sexual tension between Ioz and Tula) that it was like finding a single copy of a wonderful book, and then discovering the last half had been utterly destroyed by water damage. Sometimes it make me want to cry.

**Resume RP**
Sighing heavily, the Seeker shakes his head in disgust and takes a deep, calming breath even as he kicks a guard before him in the stomach. He raises his left hand over his lead and plants his right toe into the aforementioned guard’s face.
"Starfire,
Dulls the senses,
Christening the night,
*(boots another on-rusher in short form)*

Moonbeams,
Dazzling cascade,
What marks the sleeper’s eye.
*(raised hand begins to glow faint-silver)*

Darklight,
Stalks the heavens,
Hunting shadow prey,
*(backhands someone into a walk)*

Somnes,
Smothering embrace,
When world-wake is to die."

The Seeker’s hand now glows a faint gold tinge, tainting the air about it softly …
"Peace," He speaks softly. The golden tint of the air begins to sweep out, changing the air before it in a wave. A ripple effect carries through the compound. A half-dozen guards rushing forwards are caught fully in its wake, and stumble to the ground, unconscious before they can even yawn once.
Kaioto lowers his hand and shakes his head wearily. It pounds with a splitting headache. He glances about and moves to find Tom, wincing as it feels life he is half-way to a cerebral hemorrhage. "I Hate that," he mutters quietly as he dashes off. He glances quickly at his crimson-stained hands, knowing in his heart something he hates and fear so much more, he will not even voice it. He grits his teeth against the pain in his synapses and continues to move, his not to complain, but to fight ever on. Always the fight …
**End RP**

**switches out the candle early today** Long's I'm up, I may as well, though I doubt I'll be staying awake much longer after what I'm waiting for ... have to be up early so that I can be ready to help move in a new dishwasher.

Wilek, re: Starship Troopers: Yeah, the animation's great, but it seems like Sci-Fi is simply rerunning the same four friggin' episodes in an endless loop. At this rate it'll be forever before they get to the eps that Greg wrote.
But I must say that I like the voice acting. Not just Bill Fagerbakke but the actor playing Razak sounds like he could be Gene Hackman's twin brother at times.

Fire Storm, re: dumbing down Kekko Kamen: Uhmm ... if she runs around nekkid and uses an attack like *that*, I doubt there's much dumbing down they could do before they start losing way too much. Cutting or no, they'd still need *something* to show.

Mara: Slayers fan too, coolies. And sure, we all have our preferences ... mine particularly happens to be Lina.

Music school crisis: Thanks everyone who has given me their opinion on my situation. I will say, though, that I still love music to the extent that I live to perform. But I don't have the love deep enough to teach it anymore. The kind of hoops I had to leap through at that school of music took that away from me. And all the while, the kind of criticism they were giving me got me to the point that I hated myself for not being good enough. Being hyper-critical as it is, you can imagine how I wound up feeling ... useless and stupid, that's how.
That's why I won't study music anymore. However long I stay away from scholarly music study, it will *never* be enough time to prepare me to face that kind of thing again.

**returns all the hugs given, then sits back in the lawn chair and fixates.**
