hey all.
Kitania>Like the others here, I read your story several times. I'm not silver tongued like the others, so all I can say is, wow. You do strike me as a strong hearted person. As someone else who has tried to commit in a very similar way(unsuccessfully, due to a friend kicking me and steeling my car keys), I think I know some of what you were feeling. I no longer consider it an option, either. And I'm glad you are still with us.
Dragon Lance stuff>My fav character has always been Tasslehoff. I don't really know why, but he is. I didn't cry at Sturm's death. To me, it seemed apropriate. He was a knight, defending what was important to him. But when Flint died, I couldn't help it. I cried.
SJ>My friend, I am not at all offended by your arguement. In fact, it is the first arguement of its type that I have seen/heard/read/that I can respect. You don't argue that wolves should all be hunted down and killed 'because'. You acknowledge that wolves are intelligent and that people are taught to hate them from the cradle. I agree that wolves do hunt livestalk. Now, I have read that the number of reported incidents is inacurate. This is due to things such as wolf-dog hybrids escaping their owners and ranchers /farmers exagerating the damage done. I know that farmers have to protect their stock. I know that they are allowed to actually kill wolves (and I think there are regulations about how they have to go about it). I just don't like it, and I do my part to make sure that wolves are otherwise protected. As for PETA, I have to agree with you. Some of those nuts are really messed up. I don't like animal cruelty, but I think PETA and I disagree about exactly what it is. The ones that offend me are the people like Chad McKittrick who murdered #10, a male relocated from Canada. He shot #10, skinned and decapitated him because he thought it would make a good trophy. That is the type of person I really hate and cannot stand to be around. Like I said earlier, If someone has taken the time to learn about wolves and form different opinions, I have no problem with them. it is the ones that just say 'wolves are evil blah blah balh.....' without ever bothering to try to learn.
*Looks up at post*hmmm...I suppose i better get off the soap box now.
Shadowrider> Very nice arguement, friend. Very well written.
Kyryn>Have not found anyone anyone to proof it. I am greatful for you offer.
Todd>>Hmm....A reason to read Pendragon...Sounds interesting.
Well, I am going to get running...I still have homework to finish before I get to bed.
Take care, all.

** Niamhgold enters yet _again_ **
Okay, I've got jittery fingers. I'll try and finish my last post. Sorry!
Sevarius Jr.: Anyway, as I was saying--A shark only attacks you for two reasons: If you look like food, or if you taste/smell like food (like those guys who dump chum into the water). It's really a human created problem.
Shadowrider: You prefer long hunting knives? I choose less...apparent...weapons. Meaning telekinesis. I'm working on bending spoons right now. ;) I understand how it must be hard for you to write in a language not your own, but, rest assured, your point was very clear and nicely put! I have a similar problem with my Spanish class. BTW, how's your fanfic coming?
I _think_ that's all I have for now. Hopefully I won't flub up this post.

** Niamhgold enters for a quick post **
Kit: Thank you for your feedback! Yes, it was most _definitely_ enough (and you wrote some great stuff!). And, don't worry about not being able to read my stuff in months...because, as the others know, I haven't _written_ anything in months ** flushes crimson ** I'm a baaaad girl.
Niamh isn't really the goddess of anything in particular, at least not in my Celtic books. But she _is_ the daughter of Manannan Mac Lir, Son of the Sea, and somewhat of an enchantress. Hope that's enough :)
Additionally, I'd like to say, as Shadowrider has, how inspired I am by your story. You are indeed a strong-hearted soul with the ability to conquer the odds. You may have made some mistakes, but the admirable thing is that you _dealt_ with them, that you did meet your friends, and that you have turned into one of the most friendly, strong, and highly respectable people I know (even in the short time I have known you). Although I have no biker origins (oh, but do my parents!), your story is one that truly inspires. I am glad that you have found a point in your life during which you can feel whole, and more content. Being an adolescent was hard enough for all of us, and though we handled it in different ways, you chose the most mature path. You have learned more than many humans can ever dream (no matter how bad it seemed at the time), and I applaud you for gritting your teeth through it all. Many hugs, and well wishes! :) :) :)
Sevarius Jr: I hate it when people "misunderstand" animals--darn it, just look at the movie Beauty and the Beast. The few times I've seen wolves, they've run _away_ from me, not gosh-darn rushed for my carotid artery!
It's just like the whole thing with sharks (I'm an avid supporter of marine life). I mean, sharks really only attack for two reasons: You either _look_ like food (i.e., the shadow of a guy on a surfboard, with his legs dangling off, appears to sharks to be a dolphin)

Kitainia> I read your story and all I can say is wow. It was very touching, and I'm very glad your life got better, not I need to wait for my life to get better. But your story helped me to take a look at myself and my life, and I think it'll be a big help to me. I thank you for that.

Shadowrider: I've read your words, and thank you very much for them. :) I don't know if I'm really completely the person you seem to think I am, but I'm glad you have so much confidence in me. :) I too am proud of myself for getting through all the troubles I have, but more than that I'm grateful to the friends who've helped me. Snake and Cobra (who, if you're wondering, were called so because of their tattoos) weren't the only ones who helped me back then, they're just the ones I most remember from that time. :) They're friends I'll always miss, and yet friends I'll always have. True friends, by any method of judgement, for all the things you've reminded me that they did and more. :) It is unfortunate that people like them are so hard to find, I will forever be grateful that I found some in my time of need. (And that I've found so many since, like you, Wilek, SJ, Robby, Firestorm, Christine, SOROW, Coyote, Joe, all the other people in here, and Doug, especially Doug. <grins>)
Thank you for your comments, all of them. You're right about me not seeing suicide as a solution anymore, especially after what it cost me. (The way I tried to commit it involved ramming myself into a tree at high speed while skiing, it injured me very badly and the operation afterwards saved my life but not every part of my body. I can never have children because of the damage. You can probably guess what that did to me psychologically, I don't need to say it. <sighs> The shame of the act in and of itself was horrible enough, but with that constant reminder of it...well, it's still too painful to talk about now. Suffice to say that I know the mistake I made, I have learned from it, and God help me, I will never do it again.)
Your biker origins were interesting to read about, even if they weren't "as interesting as mine." Thanks again for sharing them, and for being a friend. :) The Austin I live in is indeed the one in Texas, as you guessed. You're right about it not being the best place for biking, but it is still a fun and good place to live. :) I like the weapons you've mentioned for hand-to-hand combat too, even if I've never been able to master the two-knife fighting style. Beating someone up with my fists and feet has always been my preferred method of combat over and above anything else. :)
Daniel Johnson: I enjoyed reading and agree with your comments as well, thanks for making them. I too hope the lurkers listen and understand. :)
That's all for now, sorry I'm not feeling up to saying more. I probably will after the room clears. Later, everyone, and thank you all for being friends, to everyone in here who's deserved and needed them. :)

Re wolves: Since they've become a big topic of debate in here just now, I'd like to mention this to everybody talking about wolves in the TGS Comment Room: be certain to read this season of "Pendragon". I think that you might find it relevant, in a way, to this topic. (More than that I'm not at liberty to say).

Greetings to everyone. Had a good weekend? Mine one was...normal, nothing too good, nothing too bad.
I managed to work a little on my fanfic, the Italian version is nearly complete, I also made some changes (for example, the main character's name...)
Ok, I have something to say to someone and it will take a while, I think, so I'll begin right now.
Kitainia:> I've read your story about...oh, a thousand of times. As I asked you about your motorbike's story, I couldn't imagine it was such a...touching (I hope I'm using the right word) one. I didn't answer immediately...I had to clarify to myself the feelings it inspired to me. I think now I did and what I feel is...admiration (but the word doesn't explain it properly), admiration for you, your strenght and tenacity. You have been through such serious troubles that I could hardly imagine, you have found yourself without a home, a friend, a static point, but you managed to come through all of that. You managed, even when, I can imagine, even when you probably felt there was no way to go, no hope for tomorrow, you managed not to loose your honesty, your decency (yes, I can guess what the guy you mentioned "offered" you, that dirty rat, with no offense for true rats of course) , your true identity. In your adventure (forgive me, but I don't know how to call it instead) you was very lucky to meet two very rare people - two real friends. Snake and Cobra are your friends in the most true sense of the word. They have seen you in your worst moment and they helped you, not because they wanted someting in exchange, not to take advantage of your difficulties, but only because you needed help (and there's no shame in this, everyone needs help in his life, everyone makes mistakes) and they happened to be there. They helped you, not only to survive, but also to understand what you really wanted for yourself and, as you decided that your path was not their one, they didn't try to convince you to change your mind, but they helped you to go on it, no matter it was to mean they could see you no more. Such persons are the rarest in the world, you can meet them just one or two times in your life, if you are lucky. Once someone said that friends can't solve your problems in your place, but they help you a lot with their mere presence, and I think it is true. I feel to add, true friends are forever, and no matter what happens to be their name, their religion, their race, no matter how they look like or where they come from, they are friends and will never betray you. You have been through other troubles after that, and you came through that as well (and probably you now understand that suicide is not a solution, but just a way to escape), and I know a lot of people out there could not handle even a half of what happened to you, and I'm not sure I could do it.
In spite of everything happened to you, now you are here: a nice, positive, bright person, able to communicate her energy to the ones around. As I said, you are one of the strongest persons I've ever met, and I'm honored to be your friend. I thank you for sharing your story with me, I'll keep it in my mind forever. Also, I'm glad to know you managed to solve your problems and you've found other friends (and something more...).
<Reviews what he has written> Hmmm...I tried to explain what I feel, but I don't know if I managed...you can't realize how difficult is writing in a language that is noy your one, until you dont'try to write something you think is really important. I'd like to re-write everything...but probably I'd do even worse...so I'll switch to lesser topics.
Well, my biker origins...well, for sure they're not as interesting as yours. My first bike was a gift, anyway, from my dad; it was a 125cc off-road Yamaha, I've ridden it for five crazy years and I had a lot of adventures with it, if you like one day I will tell you some. My current bike anyway is even more funny, I bought it spending all the money I saved from my part-time jobs; it is not exceptional in top speed, but its acceleration, grip and reduced weight make it a very bad opponent on windy roads. So, you live in Austin? <Takes out his atlas> Hmmm...Austin...there's two of them...you once mentioned UT...so...page 46 G-5...got it! Hmmm...quite flat around there, isn't it? ;) Yeah, you probably have to make a little road to find a good mountain road...You know, Alps are maybe the best place in the world for a biker, and I know I'm quite lucky to live near them.
About world bikers...what can I say? Bikers are just persons, some of them are good and others...less. What I meant is that, as I meet a biker I don't know, I consider him a friend, and keep on doing so as long as he behaves correctly; if he doesn't, of course...Anyway, I'm not worried: I'm sure you're more than able to deal with jerks of any kind by yourself and with no difficults :).
About Terry Brooks, well, if you like fantasy (and you like it, as I've seen...) you should read his books: I think they're very good, Brooks is one of my preferred fantasy writers, as long as Donaldson and Turtledove.
oh, I was forgetting: about your nickname: So you like Katana blades, isn't it? For some reason, I suspected it...;) I handled one of them sometimes, they're good weapons, light and effective. Personally, anyway, I prefer a couple of long hunting knives for hand to hand. As an alternate, a long sword of European style (straight blade and cross-shaped hilt).
Well...nothing more to say, hope I didn't write too much.
I, too, hope we will continue to be friends for long.
Goodbye, Kit.
P.S. Just for the record, your story was not "long". As long as the CR admin doesn't go upset for exceeding posts lenght, you can write me as you like, no matter how long is the posting. I assure you I enjoy a lot reading your posts. Anyway, if you have something to tell me and you think it is too long for the CR, feel free to email me as you like.
See you!
Sevarius Jr:> Wolves and farmers: You're not totally wrong: famers have the right to protect their sheeps, but shooting wolves is not the only solution availabile. I've been told that in central Italy in past centuries, as wolves were a lot more than today, farmers and sheperds used to leave the oldest and weakest of their animals tied to trees in the borders of woods, for wolves to eat them. This way, by sacrificing animals that probably were to die anyway in a short time, they often obtained that packs of wolves, having found meal, didn't venture out of woods seeking for prey. Another way of protection are dogs. There's a race of dogs, the Maremma sheep-dog; they're similar to German sheep-dogs for structure and shape of the skull, but they are a little bigger, with strong legs and their color is ligh brown-greish. They are also very cunning and good in team working. As they were used in sheeps protection, you could usually see scenes like that: a pack of wolves approaches a herd; one of the dogs detects them and, by howling, gathers the others. The two packs face each other, then the wolf leader steps forward; the dog leader does the same; the two of them face each other for some moments...then the wolf turns and goes away, followed by the other members of the pack: wolves are predators and for sure don't want to engage a fight that would surely cause losses in their own pack-not as they can seek easier preys. What is better, shooting a wolf after he attacked the herd, or drive him away before?
Christine:> plaguery: Hm, idiots prosper everywhere...if you need any help dealing with that fool, gimme a call...<begins sharpen his knives...>
Starsinger:> Yes, the story of the redhead gargoyle sound enough realistic...for me, at least! ;)
Jokes apart, I send you my bes wishes for a quick recovery.
Kyryn:> <blushes a little> Oh...well...thank you for the compliment! And thank you for the info: I didn't know "rumble" to mean it...although I had imagined it was to have some translate meaning. For the translation of the movie title...well, in Italy we are used to see titles twisted by our stupid translators...
Daniel Johnson:> Well said. Your post was very touching, indeed. I...really don't know what to say, you have already said everything. It is good to have you around here, really. I hope some of the lurkers will receive your message as well.
Hmmm...well, nothing more by now.
See you all and have a good evening.

1st, DC sabotaged my web browser twice before I finished typing up this. Somehow, he found out I am exposing his world. This only fuels my rage to expose more of his world.
2nd, I'm only going to archieve my own RPs (and parts of other relevant RP). I'm doing this to make it easier for people to follow my RP. I'm only going to update my archieve once a week (after the room is wiped).
I only started posting when I wanted to interject a question.
**SHAMELESS PLUG**
If you follow the link on my name, you'll go to some stories I started to write.
**END SHAMELESS PLUG**
**WORK RANT CONTINUES**
I partially understand why companies want to underpay overqualified people. They want the most for the money. There's one problem I see with that: Eventually, there will be no more over qualified people around so they will be stuck with partially qualified people. My degree is in the . . . . .computer field. I applied for a job as a computer lab tech where I graduated because the college is supposed to offer an internship program in the future. The internship program is the most direct way I see to get the job that I want. I applied for the job . . . . THREE MONTHS ago. I visited campus Friday and was told they started calling applicants Thursday. The guy in charge of hiring wouldn't order printers because there were no tables to put the printers on [you can always rent], lied about when an open lab was supposed to be open. Needless to say, the guy has NO CREDIBILITY with me.
I have very little work experience because when I was in college and high school, I didn't work. That makes the deck stacked AGAINST me. I'm working from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am at a factory for a temping agency in the meantime. When I leave there, I will have **a lot** of comments about that place.
**END WORK RANT**
**DC CONSPIRACY SAGA continues**
DPH started casting a spell to gather energy for another spell. The other spell would gather energy from Sun going to all the planets and moons in this Solar System but Earth and its moon. He finished the first spell. Then he casted the second spell, placing the energy into a ball-shape. Then, he casted yet another spell to gather energy from winds to keep winds at 10 mph or lower and gather all excess ions that would used to form lightning. He used the energy from this ball to strengthen the forcefield surrounding NCA. Then, DPH realized something, he could not use a series of spells to continouly power a forcefield around NCA. He had to kill NCA or transport NCA to an universe where he wouldn't harm anyone. The problem with the latter option is that NCA might could transport to another universe easily. So one problem remained, could DPH kill NCA?
**END DC CONSPIRACY SAGA for now**

Oh, no. It's the infamous, long-winded cyan poster again. And to make matters worse, I've been thinking. If you knew me better, you'd realize just how scary that can be. At most, you probably have just a mild sense of trepidation, but I'm sure you'll soon learn better. I also seem to be upholding the tradition I started in the other CR of posting on Sunday before the room is wiped, but once I finished thinking, I *had* to write this down. Oh, well.
OK, this may ramble a bit (read a lot). When I was in school, I was always the shy, quiet, awkward one who could never figure out how to "fit in." I was never good at meeting people or starting conversations, and I was either ignored or ridiculed by other kids, because they could sense my discomfort. To this day, I hate high school. Despise it. I have nothing but bad memories. College was better in that the students were more mature and didn't bother me, but they had no desire to reach out to me either. And I was too afraid to reach out to them. It's a difficult and lonely feeling sometimes. Even now, I always feel awkward approaching people I don't know. That even extends to being online. I've never had the courage to participate in online discussions before. Until now.
I was thinking about why I finally lost my mind and started posting, and I hope you don't mind my sharing my conclusions. First, it's tangent time. One of my favorite things about Gargoyles is how the characters seem so real to me. Greg and his team obviously lavished great care on creating these characters. I *care* about them. What happens to them matters. This, incidentally, is why I rarely enjoy fanfics that center on non-canon characters more than the originals; I don't know them as well or care what happens to them as much.
Now, what does this have to do with my reasons for posting here? I started reading this CR from its very beginning. I was already hooked on Gargoyles at this point, I was interested in TGS, and I wanted to learn more. So I started reading. But, I found that this place was about more than information; it was about people. People came, and people left. Friendships were made while others went down in flames. Romances bloomed among some while withering in others. Complaints were shared, loses were commiserated, and joyful news was celebrated. And I began to care. You matter to me; far more than any mere character. Real people with real lives and real feelings who willingly share those lives with others because of their common love for a TV show. Maybe to you this doesn't seem so strange and precious, but to someone who has never really been involved in anything like this it is astounding.
Oh, my. Did I actually type that? I really *am* losing my mind. And getting really sappy in the process.
The final straw was a particularly savage flame war the broke out here recently. Involving the people I had come to care about. And caused some to leave. A pall of despair seemed to hover around here while people discussed the unravelling of the fandom. Remaining silent had become more impossible than posting. So I posted. And the world didn't end (yet).
Now, this post has gone on long enough and I don't want to keep you any longer, but there is something else I want to say. This is addressed to all the lurkers out there. Yes, I know you're there; I was one of you for a long time. I know your fear. And doubt. But, it really is worth it to be here. So if you can't bring yourself to talk to the whole room, then talk to me. I won't laugh or ridicule you. I'll listen. I'm reaching out like few people ever did for me. Then, maybe you'll see how friendly the rest of the people here can be. But, you have to take the next step. No one can make you post. Maybe I'll just end up sitting here waiting and looking like an idiot. It certainly wouldn't be the first time. I make a great idiot. But, think about it. There's really very little to lose and so much to gain.
And the rest of you, please forgive me for the length of this; it's just something I had to do. Sorry.

Christine> Ooh! That really chaps my hide. I hope that you find the ****er and string him/her up by figurative, if not literal, body parts (Anger rising....). Somebody...get a rope.
Firestorm> Asking the author's permission is always a good idea. From the TGS point of view, simply note in your fic that parts of the story originally appeared in the TGS episode and that any characters that are from TGS itself (not the original series) belong to TGS. If things are properly noted and credited, there shouldn't be a problem, especially if you are just using part of a story. The problem with this ******* that Christine is dealing with, is that story, plotline, and characters were 'stolen' and used wholesale and without changes or credits.
Whew, I haven't made a post that size in a long time!

Shadowrider> Rumble normally means 'a deep noise/shaking' which is probably where they got 'earthquake' out of it. But it is also slang for 'a large fight between many people'. BTW, you write English very well. :)
Archwolf> Ooh! I hate people like that! I have the same problem with people's ignorance about firearms and the safe handling/shooting thereof. BTW, did you ever find anyone to proof your fic? If not, let me know. I'll em you my em addy. It'll take a little time since I'm busy being Head of Edits for TGS, but I'll certainly check it out within a week.
Starsinger> Ouch! I'll send good healing thoughts your way. :)
"Original Sin" by Taylor Dane> *grin* One of my favorite songs. Yes, it would fit in Timedancer. It would also fit for several of the villains in the gargs series.
Daniel Hightower> I understand your rant perfectly. I ran into the same thing with my Libary Science Degree. I finally started looking at what I could do with all my experience in other fields. *grin* I'm currently working as a temp for an online editing project (not this one, although being Head of Edits for TGS is fun at times!) and fairly happy about the experience I'm getting.

*Warpmind enters, beads of sweat dripping from his brow.*
Whew, what a night... I stayed up for hours, wrestling with my fanfic... and I'M DONE with the latest episode! The Second Seal is presently in the archive, so those of you who have been paying attention to my series, please give it a look. :)
That said, I can go on to the important matters: replies.
Christine: Say what? *Hands Christine the Megaton Hammer of Dishonest Fanfic Author Chastening.* You may need this... and this. *Hands Christine the Gigantic Battle-Axe of Truth.*
Gside: Dude, Icelandic and Norwegian sounded similar... during the Viking age. But let's just drop the subject before we start flaming each other, eh? :) Oh, and as for a strange sense of humor... well, maybe it could be considered humor with a fairly sinister touch, no?
Wilek: Thanks, I'll drop Pissy an e-mail when I'm done with this post, then.
Delphi: Ooo, sounds like a pun I can use at Callahan's next time I'm there. :)
Coyote: *Sigh* Right, that's why Mara is so gone. :( Well, we're halfway through April already, so here's to hoping. *Raises a glass in a toast.*
Fire Storm: Hmh, well, I guess she'd be considered related... at least considering the xenomorph reproductive system. If it's any comfort, she attacked us first, and managed to take out a half-dozen blooded Yautja before I got the kill? :)
**RP**
*Somewhere, in Warpmind de InzanE's drunken dreams*
Warpmind looked around in vast darkness.
"Wh... where is this? Hello? Is anyone there?"
Silence.
"Dammit, isn't there a light switch here, even?"
Something moved just out of sight, and a female voice spoke.
"Remember your oath, and that of your ancestors."
"Huh? What, my oath as a Realmsfarer?"
"You have willfully neglected your legacy. You have personally beheld the Balance becoming corrupted, you have briefly shifted the Balance toward the Heavens, and you have managed to drink yourself into oblivion over a woman you lost years ago."
"C'mon, we were gonna marry, and she died! And her soul was trapped with the Quencher, even!"
A faint laughter.
"Yes, I guess I was. But Warps, honey, we weren't meant to be. You've got your legacy to worry about; you can't be burdened with a wife to worry about."
Janne's shape approached, and Warpmind gasped audibly.
"Honey, you've got to wake up. Sober up. If you don't... Armageddon will occur, and your beloved Balance will be a thing of the distant past. Even now, demons are roaming this station."
"Will... will I ever see you again?"
"I don't know. You are still the Realmsfarer, so next time you're visiting the afterlife, look me up, eh? Besides, with the two rings on your finger... I'll always be with you."
Janne vanished into the horizon, and Warpmind reached for her, grabbing nothing but air.
*Warpmind de InzanE's quarters, Avatar of Ganon*
Warpmind sat up with a jolt, any trace of alcohol seemingly burnt out of his body.
"Whoa! That was unreal... or was it real?"
Looking down at the two rings on his left ring finger, he thought he saw a faint image of the woman he was once to marry.
"The Balance... drat, I've been a fool..."
Climbing to his feet, and staggering for a moment, Warpmind dug into his grey backpack, producing a few throwing knives, some bottles of various sizes, and a few clips to his tranq gun.
"Demons roam the station? What in the Nether Realms was I thinking of? I've got a job to do!"
Approaching the door, Warpmind halted for a moment.
"Computer, where is the nearest collected mass of infernal bio-matter?"
"Uncertain. Please input more sufficient information."
"Never mind, I'll see what I can find myself."
Warpmind ran down the corridor, hearing faint sounds of people running.

<< Wolves-One of my most favorite animals to date. I really don't like it when people make them out to be bad or hunt them for terrible reasons.>>
yeah, but you probably don't mind laughing at squid.
don't take this the wrong way, but squid are smarter than wolves {odd, that a critter that lives 3 years, most of that time solitary, would have a higher brain-body ratio than humans and dolphins}.
<<Tis no hell worse than a womans scorn.
I have to agree with Rodlox.>>
you _have_ to agree with me? thanks - i think. :) so, should we simply flood it's/her/his mailbox? the message board where it's archived. {sudden image of _this_ CR flooded in retaliation...and all the innocents who would be affected by both floodings}.
oh my.

Walker in the Night it is good to hear your voice again. You grace use with you presence once more.
<Hugs> This to shall pass (but it's taking sooo long :( )
Christine do let us know with updates about the situation. Either that or turn the room on to the site where the story is posted and we'll fill their guest book properly. (Evil grin at the thought of what some of the room would write in that person's guest book.)
Well, the swellings gone down from the point where I was using mostly my left eye. I found out I definitely need new glasses. I wear a 9+ correction for both eyes. Definitely blind in one eye and couldn't see out of the other yesterday. Now if only the purple would fade fast. Mom likes to use her 'soul stealer' for birthdays and it should be at the purple/yellow stage next week. NO pain just the swelling and the stitches do look nice. Would anyone here believe the story that I was attacked by a blue-skinned, redheaded gargoyle with an attitude? That should explain the scar nicely don't you think?
Later world.

Color = Anti-Dark
Warpmind: <Don't worry. She's not your mommy>
Still, even though we are probally not biologically related (I sure hope not, anyway), it's really a shame to see some of my kind die.
Even though most of the others are killers, they are still family.
<happiness is Earth in your rearview mirror>
Hmm... (jot jot jot, note note note)
Green Baron: <I was referring to an incident last year>
OH... I thought it was literal not figurative.
Yes, I remember that event.
As for Merlin Missy, I have tried every possible e-mail address for her several times before. Nothing.
Does anyone in here know ANOTHER way to contact her, like a IRL way?
Daniel Johnson: Thank you VERY much for you kind words. We both kinda needed to hear that.
<My regular ISP has started using web caching software on their server>
I say complain. Maybe you can change their mind.
Wierd, though. There is coding in this page that is supposed to make it un-cacheable.
Daniel Paul Hightower: <I was wondering if the phoenix gate could transport someone to another universe.>
Anything is possible.
<Work Rant>
I know. I have more ACTUAL computer experience than many people twice my age. Hell, in some ways I have more experience than my father who introduced me to computers.
I say all I know, all of the experence I have (Through my on business and others) and just because I don't have a BA in CompSci I can't get a lousy NT administration job that a tranined monkey with a pencil could do.
I hate to toot my own horn, but I am mostly MASSIVELY overqualified for half of the jobs I applied for and to be quite blunt, I am at the point of working for LESS than I used to get at Depot (NOTE: $7 an hour) just to get a friggin job!
<If this room ever got to 600 K by the end of week, would it be wiped clean sooner, not that I am complaining about its size?>
Nope. There are 8 seperate occasions that the room has gotten over 600K (a few nearly 900k) and the room was not wiped mid week.
Gside: <is there any difference between being in a child's imagination and being on drugs?>
A child's imagination is infinately more powerful and wonderfull than any drug can hope to be.
<And hip replacements are even more fun: they just whack a ball on the end of a spike into the femur.>
After sawing off the old part and drilling out the bone. My grandma had a double knee replacement last year.
Rodlox: <hey guys, any of you evver heard of an Exin?>
Exin frequents the adult CR.
TGS and Sata: I think that there should have been more time between Brooklyn starting Timedancing and Brooklyn meeting Sata, like a season or two.
SJ: <Playmate-style women>
Speaking of which... I think it is WRONG to have women in Playboy younger than 20. In a recent issue (I read it for the articles... seriously! Ok, ok... the jokes. I skim the articles and laugh at the women. If I want porn, I have the 'net. Bonnieway...)
I mean, in a recent issue I think they had someone under 18! Isn't that against the law?
<Mike Myers as Shaggy>
Makes you wonder what was actually in those Scooby Snacks, eh? Pot brownies?
<No word yet on whether Christine Morgan will be writing the screenplay.>
We can only hope! (Christine: It REALLY wasn't that bad! I liked it!)
<Not a chance in hell.>
Ya know... I can name quite a few VERY adult game titles. Hell, there are websites dedicated to them!
Playstation, Nintendo, PC... the list is a long one.
Wilek: <Eh?! :O I thought TR's only codes were all weapons and level skip... O_o>
CODES, yes. Patches, on the other hand...
I have ways of extracting the models from Tomb Raider, and if I wanted to, I could probally put some back in. I know I have seen people change the graphics in the game (The infamous nude patch)
I have also seen a patch where you swim though the entire level and you are in god mode.
Almost every game is hackable. Some companies encourage hacking by supplying all the needed software (Sierra, Fraxis), some kinda do (cheat codes) (or even worse, LAME cheat codes that only allow you to use them a few limited times LUCAS ARTS), and the games that are for the most part unhackable until you surf the net.
Archwolf: <I hate stupid people>
Welcome to Earth. As long as people can think for themselves there will always be morons.
The best we can do is attempt education.
Bengali: <I read PSM magazines latest issue, did you know that this one gaming company is coming out with the first AO {Adults Only} game for the Playstation?, it is almost EXACTLY like the Tomb Raider games exept the "female hero" in it is completely nude. It is an insult to all women>
Did you read the complete article? Of particular note was the April 1 release date.
THANKFULLY that was just a April Fools joke.
(Ane besides... there are probally Adult Only Playstation games in Japan already)
Winterwolf: <I stumbled on an article about Microsoft and their backdoor server password.>
Thank you. Thank you VERY much! <Wicked Grin>
<Click on me to read it.>
Ain't going there :)
Christine: <Spike just informed me of a site where someone posted one of my stories after "rewriting" it to include a couple other characters>
Tis no hell worse than a womans scorn.
I have to agree with Rodlox. Need any help? I want to get a few more cracking skills, and I can't think of a better server to do it to :)
DHP: <I'm going to work on combining the RP's into one page.>
Well, don't forget that all of the CR's are archived.
Check tgs.gargoyles-fans.org/cr for the archive.
Plagurism: I fear I may be commiting plagurism with a TGS story. I wrote a story (as yet unpublished) that took a portion of the end of the TGS story "Equality" (Mainly the alley fight on) for the begining of my story.
I am NOT saying that it is mine. I re-wrote parts of it so it didn't turn out as good. Even though I have been told that the story is part of TGS, I still would like to ask Spike if it is ok. (Hey, she wrote it.) If she wants me to not include that stuff from the story, I would be more than happy to remove it.
(NOTE: I am not quite ready for that to happen yet.)
Opinions?
Tomb Raider: The thing I hate about Tomb Raider is how they portray archeology. It is bad enough that the Indiana Jones movies turned it into glorified grave robbing, but now we have a game where you can take part in it!
(NOTE: I do have a few copies of the various Tomb Raider games. They are ok. Puppy Girl always asks when I am going to play Jumping Girl again. :)
Robby: <This sounds like the exact same joke EGM pulled a couple years ago with the Tomb Raider "Nude code">
Actually...
Night Walker: Welcome Back!
<The joy luck club(don't ask)>
I thought it was an ok film myself.
It bears repeating...
***TGS CR STUFF***
Ok... I have been hearing alot about people wanting more pictures.
Well... WHICH PICTURES DO YOU WANT???
So far there have only been 3 or 4 people saying which TGS picture they would like in here. Just tell me which picture, and I will consider it.
As far as the current pictures... would you change the way any of them look visually? I mean making sure the background is all black, removing halos, etc.
Thanx.

Nightwalker- nice to see you back. But the Joy Luck Club? (You said not to ask which has only puiqued my curiosity...)
Ahh... The Mononoke countdown... i'd forgotten about that... Mind, when its video release is finally announced, I'll be counting down to that for sure...
And you do realize when you mention Queen Emeraldis and say "these days" you're referring to a nearly 25 year old anime, right? (boy, I'm saying alotta stuff to you. Musta missed ya man.)
Nude character game- on reflection, I'm almost sure it was an April Fool's joke. EGM and their spinoffs have a habit of doing bothersome April Fool's jokes, the funniest one being the Hidden SHeng-Long in Street Fighter 2... Which everyone thought was real and actually got it published in foreign magazines! Their worst April FOol's joke was the year they mispelled "Streets of Rage" and called it "Streeets of Rage". No one caught that one until 5 months later when EGM told us what it was.
Christine- Who does this person think they're going to fool? Considering you're one of the most widely known fanficers in the fandom? Oii.
Wolves- I like them myself. I dislike when people make them out to be demonic, but they DO encroach upon livlihoods as SJ said. There's a middleground somewhere...
**RP HERE**
Sammael/SJ and Kari were running for their lives as they rounded a corner and saw... Jim Iza Noying's clone, Mij.
"Mij?" Kari gasped, temporarily forgetting the demon behind them. "WHat are you doing here?"
"I've been here for the last half hour or so, along with Black Tiger and the original Jim."
"Wha?"
The voice of Musoke Punzara Noying, aka Black Tiger, resounded through the halls as he came around a DIFFERENT corner, but his armor was now silver instead of black. "Hi Aunt Kari." The group continued to run away from Parka.
"What are you doing here?" Sammael questioned.
"Haven't you been reading Robby's RP posts lately?"
"He hasn't had any RP posts lately." Kari noted as they kept running.
"Oh. Well then... If you want to get the space station moved to avoid HFIL coming upon Earth, you better move quick."
"Why?"
"Because, me, the cybersmurf and Mij went through Hell, literally, to bring your brother back to life. SJ is still there carrying out the other part of the plan, and Jim is elsewhere on the station holding of a few more rampant demons on his own, but the long and short of it is... Bringing your brother back to life has advanced the takeover process somewhat. Armageddon is going to come a LOT sooner now, and this station has to be moved quickly. You go ahead and do your best to get the station moved, me and Mij will hold off Parka."
"Why? How much time do I have to move the Avatar of Ganon?"
"Oh... ABout 30 seconds."

***BEGIN RP***
Sammael slowly picked up the bone dagger and held it in his hand. "You want me to....kill her?" He pointed at Kari.
Parka nodded its large, obsidian skull. "Exactly. You know how Mephisto is, always wanting a showing of loyalty. Besides, sacrificing a martyr isn't anything you have not done before. Do her, prove your loyalty, then we can just all go back to facilitating the eventualy slaughter of billions. Okay?"
"Sure," Sammael said. He turned to Kari. "Sorry about this," he said to her coldly. He raised the dagger above his head, and it started to glow. Soon, the bone radiated white light. Sammael grinned wickedly, and Kari prepared to defend herself.
Sammael brought his arm down, but instead of targeting Kari, he swung the glowing dagger sideways--straight towards Parka. The giant skeleton moved out of the way with a terrible swiftness, as the dagger exploded in the very spot that Parka just occupied. In the confusion, Sammael grabbed Kari and Dyspare's hands and began to run towards the control center.
"What was that thing?" Kari shouted.
"Demon," Sammael explained. "One of Mephisto's assassins. He'll be following us, but my little distraction should give us, oh, all of maybe a 2 second head start."
Kari looked confused. "What was that? The whole glowing thing?"
"Pyrokinesis," he said. "Most demons have a talent. Mine's pyrokinesis. Dys here's got a pretty cool talent himself. If we live through this, maybe he'll show you sometime."
"SAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMAEEEEELLLLLLLLL!!!!" a roar sounded behind them.
"That'll be Parka," Sammael said calmly.
"Is this thing tough?" Kari asked.
"I've seen him take out a few Seeker's in my time," Sammael explained. "But if we reach the control center in time, maybe he can help us out. We needed to prove to the Administrator that there was a demon infestation, right? He'll be some pretty damn convincing proof. IF we survive, that is."
***END RP***
My faith in the Star Wars franchise is slowly returning: On top of the week's stunning revelation that Christopher Walken has a part in the next SW film, there's this bit of good news--Lucas has hired Jonathan Hale to help him with the SW 2 script. Hale has worked with Lucas before on a variety of products, among them the "Young Indiana Jones" series. This is good news, because at the risk of being called a perpetual Lucas-basher....the man (Lucas) can't write worth crap. At least, he can't write dialogue worth a damn (If you don't agree, I submit such gems from Episode 1 as "Are you an angel?" or "Yousa say people gonna die?" or "Mesa named Jar Jar Binks" or...well, there's a LOT of examples.) So hopefully, with someone aiding him in the writing, there will be the possibility of a plot and a decent story.
Scooby Doo news: Well, it's been long rumored, but word out now is that Mike Myers will make a live-action Scooby Doo movie....and act in the movie as everbody's favorite pothead, Shaggy (Cause I mean, really, that's the REAL reason he was always so damn hungry. He had the munchies.) This has the potential to be funny, or truly horrible. Maybe Fat Bastard could make a cameo. "I'm dead sexy!"
No word yet on whether Christine Morgan will be writing the screenplay.
Rumble in the Bronx: Great movie, but it has some really awful dubbing. Still, I guess nobody's watching it to hear Jackie talk. It does have a couple of great Asian hotties, though, in Anita Mui and Francoise Yip.
Bengali: Like Robby said, that nude video game was just a joke. I mean, c'mon. Do you really think something like that would ever get produced and mass marketed? Not a chance in hell. There would be so much fallout for putting such a product on the market that it wouldn't be worth it. Plust the censors would never allow it. The folks over at PSM do have a great sense of humor, though.
Wolves: Okay, this is some potentially offensive material here.
I agree that wolves have a bum wrap. They are an intelligent species, a wonderful species, but it's their rotten luck that they are also predators who are more of an inconvenience than an asset to man. As such, they have been demonized using some rather interesting and brilliant social conditioning. Werewolf myths perpetuate the belief that wolves are carnivorous beasts just waiting for the chance to eat you. It's taught from the cradle--Little Red Riding Hood is a werewolf story that indoctrinates a distrust for wolve while we are still in our childhood. I think wolves should be preserved.
However, my allegiances are always, and will always be, with my own species. This is why folks like PETA and other "save the animals" types often upset me tremendously. Take the farmers who shoot wolves who prey on their sheep. Quite a few people would argue, hey, it's the wolf's natural tendency, the wolves were there before man, the wolf doesn't know that he's trespassing on "man's" land. This is all true. But I often find that I will take up for the farmer. It's not like farming is the easiest or most profitable profession in the world. He's not making doctor or lawyer money. His livelihood depends upon his crops or his stock of animals, and he may not be able to afford letting a few sheep go just to keep the wolves belly full. Wolves are smart--even if the farmer sets up more elaborate, secure fences or pens, they'll still probably get through and chow down. This is their nature, but for every sheep (or other animal) they devour the farmer's livelihood is diminished. I don't necessarily condone farmer's killing wolves, but I sure as hell don't condemn them as "stupid" or "evil" for doing it. For better or worse, we are the dominant lifeform on this planet. We have a responsibility to treat nature and its creatures with care and respect, but I personally will always put the needs and necessities--genuine necessities, that is, I'm not talking about testing cosmetics on little bunny rabbits--of humans above animals.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I'm finally back here. Wow how long has it been , 6 months? I have missed you all sooooo much and am so happy to be back here.I still don't have a computer. I'm on my Godmother's comp (trying not to gripe out loud because it loads incredibly slow and although I've only been back for about 15 min I'm still making the same stupid mistake of accidentaly pressing clear instead of going back to the room) before I start this post I have to tell you all that I won't be back for another few days , if I'm lucky. But with my luck it'll probaly be another 6 months. **sigh** . I'd like to start off by saying that I am sooooo sorry that I have not been here in so long. Now I know I posted before this happened but I feel that it needs to be said again, so that maybe I can find someway to find the humor in it all(and yes Robby, if your still here, I still haven't fully developed a sense of humor). My mom took my webtv away (mid-Nov)and told me that she was going to get a comp very soon , at the latest christmas. It is now mid-April and still no comp, I'm still trying to be optimistic about it all (my @$$) and everytime I bring it up she yells at me for being impatient. Now I know it's not her fault , I know we've had a rough year (life) and in the end we'll triumph, but I at least wanted her to tell me that we didn't have the money. Oh well. I'm here now and I'll try to make the best out of it. Actually, we did have the money, she was just saving it up so that we could move (yet again) maybe this time into a house. Now I know thhat a computer isn't the most important thing in the world (did I just say that?) but All of my friends are here. I know it sound like something a looser would say (actually , it IS something a looser would say), but it's true. This will be my 14th time moving, annd I'm so used to not having friends that I guess I tend to push people away. I'm sick and tired of it, but I've lived so long this way that I guess I wouldn't be able to live any other way. Even though I don't like (HATE) the military life it's mine. And just to be sure I don't go crazy sometime during the day, I lock the bathroom door , turn on the fan so no one can hear me, and say repetedly, I'm going to get through this , I'm going to get through this, I'm going to get through this. And that's just what I'll do, I'm going to try with every ounce of my being to get through this small but painstaking chunk of my life. I find my self praying more often, as well as finding out what kind of person I really am. I'm also trying to get out more, trying to see more of this small town that I'm in. I do have alot more friends , and that's just what I was afraid of. I'm also doing alot more running. As for my first love Angela (whom I also met on the net), Sadly I havent heard from her in 2 months. I'm sure we'll start talking again but it's hard not being able to hear from her, I wonder if she misses me. As for the people here, nobodys changed, most of them are still as distant as they were before. I have been going to the mall and the movies with my friends, its so different than what I thought, they're almost like my uncles and my brother, they all watch wrestling and drink beer. Oh well, I'm still grateful for what I have. Most of my peers are jealous of me(?), they think that is must be wonderful being in so many different places. Wow , I guess it's true, the grass is always greener on the other side.
Whew, now that I'm done with that I can get to some other things. I need to first of all say hi to all of the people that I knew in the CR before mid-NOV. I also saw that we have many new people here(actually at first I didn't recognize anybody but fortunatly I scrolled down far enough to see a few familiar faces) and I would like to say hi and a belated welcome to all of you. I fashioned the first gigantic paragraph as a half introduction half catch-up. I hope tp soon know all of you as well as I knew the people here before.

That's all for the top ten. I'll add more later. Oh yeah, In the past six month I saw alot of movies, I kept the stubs so I could do movie reviews and I wouldn't forget. There were so many that I'll have to change it just this once. I'll just list the movies and put the # of stars next to the title, if there are any questions about my pick just ask. It'll go from 1-10, 10 being the best , 1 being pokemon
(I'm sorry, I had to, I know that was bad). In no particular order:

Goodnight, my rookery brothers and sisters.
It really was good to get back here, I feel so much better.

Then his daughter came in..but she was older..more like 8 or 9 years old in my dream. And she tells me that she likes anime! I told Greg it was great he was starting her out early and we all just sat there and chatted about different animes. Im sorry..but ..that is just kinda screwed up!! *looks around* Greg if you ever read this I SWEAR I have no clue where that dream came from. *rolls her eyes* He's going to have to divy out restraining orders to _some_ of us by the end of this year at least:P. *shakes her head*..I dunno..it was just _weird_ is all. Bengali, re the nude character game- Go look at the magazine you read about this in again. Then check what month is on the cover. 10-1, you'll note that it says "April." This sounds like the exact same joke EGM pulled a couple years ago with the Tomb Raider "Nude code". And since PSM is a sub magazine of EGM, this would surprise me even less.
And I actually have more to say, but its supper time and I'm hungry...

**RP HERE**
Keith screams as Frankunsteen throws him off, using brute force where brains have failed. The monster then raises his foot to squash Keith's skull, but a power bolt from Lathrop (who just finished taking out the last of the smoke creatures and saw his friend's predicament) knocks him down. "Look out!" Keith yells as Frankunsteen moans and his wounds start healing. "He's gonna get up!" Lathrop frowns as he watches the healing and muses, "Hmm, this creature seems to have a body made partly of flesh and partly of nanomachines. I think I know how to handle it." He forms a ray of heat from his palm and burns the suddenly screaming Frankunsteen to ashes. Keith breathes a sigh of relief as the moron finally shuts up for good. "Good work." "No problem," Lathrop replies, helping him to his feet. "Come on, we still have many to deal with before we sleep." Keith nods and starts looking around for a soldier or mongrelman to take down.
Near them, Stephanie is gasping as Kit tells her what happened. "Doug's mind got fried? Uh oh!" "Big uh oh," Kit agrees. "We gotta find someone who can tell us how to fix him. Come on!" Stephanie nods and is just turning around when suddenly a tank shell hits her directly in the side and knocks her down. Kit spins and sees Shreck's tank pointing its main gun at her. Jammer and Tom are still trying to get close to the tank from across the field, dodging shots from its machine gunner. Kit gulps as the tank's main gun aims at her, then quickly whips out her rocket launcher and fires a Stinger right into its barrel. The main gun explodes and is destroyed. "No fair!" Shreck opens the hatch and protests. "Now I can't blow things up anymore! First you kill my brother, now you destroy my tank! You stupid f^*@ing b.." The rest of his rant is cut off as a very angry-looking Stephanie leaps up and jumps at him with a kiai on her lips, cutting the soldier in half with one swipe of her katana. "Stephanie!" Kit protests as her immortal (and now completely healed) sister flips and lands on top of the tank's turret beside its dead commander. "We could have asked that guy how to fix Doug's brain!" "Hey, I really don't like it when people shoot me, okay?" Stephanie rolls her eyes. "Sorry!" She then turns and uses the flat of her blade to knock out the tank's gunner as he spins to face her with a pistol drawn. Jammer and Tom take the opportunity to rush up to the tank and take aim at it with their assault rifle and grenade launcher. "I give up!" the driver yells as Stephanie also aims a pistol at him through the tank's open hatch. Around the parking lot, all the remaining soldiers who came with Alchemist are also yelling that they want to surrender, while the mongrelmen mutants and smoke creatures are all dead and the robots have all been smashed. Kit sighs and starts ordering the soldiers to throw down their weapons as the other Ravens move to cover them and the screen's image fades out.
**END FIRST HALF OF THIS POST'S RP**
Greetings everyone. Hope you're all enjoying your weekend. I have so far, it's been restful with minimal homework to do after that big round of tests earlier this week. Pretty good Batman Beyond this morning, with some nice character development and a good plot even with the inconclusive ending (did Falseface escape the factory alive or not?). Also saw a good movie with Doug last night- Keeping the Faith. It had a very good script, nice acting, and good dialogue. Some of the jokes were a little predictable and stale, but overall I'd definitely recommend this movie if you want to laugh. It's a pretty good romance film too, with a few bits of wisdom. :) So if you want to, go see it. Now, on to replies.
Tim P: <nods> Very lousy. Well, whatever did happen, I hope your dog is enjoying the Beastlands (animal heaven), and I'm glad you seem to have gotten over his death.
Stephen: Congrats on the wonderful birthday you had. I too am sorry I didn't find the right thing to send you, but I'm glad you understand. Hopefully next year your birthday will be just as happy and something appropriate will come to mind. :)
Wilek: They did attempt to give all three of the Tomb Raider games a plot. None was a very good plot, but they all did try. I think the primary weakness was an uninteresting main character. :(
Green Baron: Welcome back! That financial report you're doing sounds interesting but difficult, I'm glad I won't ever have to do anything like it. (Some of my friends will, though. Good luck to both them and you. :)
Silverstar: <nods> I can't stand flaky people like that girl either. Hope you had a good birthday even with the revelation that she was no longer your friend. I too am looking forward to your Lexington fic.
Stormy: I will miss you just as everyone else will. Good luck with the things you've got going and hope you someday are able to come back. :)
Shadowrider: <It's great to know another biker in the CR, it's gonna make me like here even more!> It is, huh? :) That's good to know. The full story of how I came to be one is long and complicated. I'll tell you it since you asked, but get ready, some parts of it aren't exactly that good. <sighs> It all started about six years ago, when I was fifteen. I was a year into puberty at that time (I was a late bloomer) and going through a lot of crises and hassles in my life. All of them were to do with being a teenager and having to deal with the problems of peer pressure, people who used to be my friends suddenly shunning me because I wasn't "cool" anymore, trouble with my grades at school and harder classes, etc. My family made it all worse, especially my parents, by expecting me to rise above all the problems on my own and get through them without help. I didn't have the self-confidence then to handle things on my own, and for some reason they couldn't see it. My parents kept raising their expectations for me, my sister teased me and laughed at me whenever I mentioned my problems to her, my older brother acted like he didn't want to be bothered with my stuff whenever I tried to talk to him about it. With them all treating me like that, and the aforementioned problems, soon my life got to feeling like a nightmare. I didn't know what to do to fix it, even though it was clear to me I had to find something. Finally, I decided to run away from home. And I did, when my family was all on vacation in San Francisco that summer. I walked out of the hotel room one night with my bags while they were all asleep, left the hotel, got on a train going south to Los Angeles, and decided to never look back. They thought I should live my life on my own without them, that's what I would do. Of course, I wasn't ready to do that. It only took me three weeks to realize it- and to spend all the money I'd brought, try to find a job I could be happy in and fail, and end up sleeping on the street when it turned out I didn't know how high rent costs in Los Angeles were. After the money was gone, I tried to find other ways of surviving on my own. I turned to crime for a while, and gave it up after I almost got caught a couple times and realized that if I ever did get caught my family would probably find me easily (that, and I remembered stealing was wrong). I didn't want to go back home, you see, because I didn't want to deal with the shame of having left. I was expecting my family to just be mad at me for running away and ignore the reasons why I did. But I knew I couldn't stay on the street either, because I couldn't survive there, I wasn't cut out for it. And living like a homeless person felt pretty shameful too. There was this one guy around of course who had offered me other means of survival, but I firmly turned him down because I still had some sense of decency. (You can probably guess what he was offering, I won't say it in here because it would offend those who watch over young minds.)
Then, one night, while I was sitting in a bar just trying to drown my problems in the drinks some nice guy had started buying me before he fell asleep on his stool, I met some people. They were bikers, members of the Hell's Angels. One of them, a big bearded guy named Sylvester "Snake" McAllister, saw me and picked up on buying me drinks where the other guy had left off. I snubbed him at first, thought he was just doing it to get me into bed with him like I'd heard his type did, but then I found out he wasn't doing that. Instead, he told me, he'd seen the pain on my face and wanted to talk to me about it, because it couldn't be good if I kept it in. Soon we were talking, and I told him everything that was wrong in my life, and he just nodded and didn't reply to it. Then he introduced me to his friends and said they were going down to Phoenix and then Albuqerque. Did I want to join them? I said yes, figuring that there was nothing for me in LA and these people were nice to me, so what did I have to lose?
The next three months were some of the best times in my life. The Angels taught me to ride a motorbike, survive on my own in the wilderness, shoot guns, climb mountains, and many other things as well. More importantly, they taught me to trust in myself again, and in the people who cared about me. They were my first real friends, more so than anyone I had known before. They never disrespected me either, or treated me like trash. Snake and his brother Charles (who was called "Cobra") also beat up anyone we met who did, and taught me how to do the same. They all had their imperfections of course, but I learned to see past them to the nice wonderful people underneath, just as they did for me. :) We got into lots of fights and other problems, especially when we stopped off in rough towns like Taos, New Mexico and Reno, Nevada, but they didn't matter. I learned a lot about living in those months, and how to treat other people as people, as well as to not judge a book by its cover, how to trust in others for the help I needed and get it from them, and how to handle many of the problems in my life. Of course, during those times, I was often also very sad. I missed my family, and my friends, and everything I'd left behind. I had a good life, but I wanted the one I should be having back. I'd grown to like bikers, but I didn't want to spend the rest of my life as one.
Snake and the others understood, and they helped me get home, where as you might expect my family was very glad and relieved to see me again. They were all shocked to see me come home with these new friends I'd made as well, and it caused a few problems until they remembered that I was home and it didn't matter how I'd gotten there. We talked about the problems that had made me leave, and they agreed to stop putting pressure on me and try to help me with my life. They promised all this but, however, they didn't start doing it for a long time. Then they started treating me like I was a child, even in situations where it wasn't warranted. The problems with my peers and school didn't end immediately, either. (About a year and a half later they drove me to attempt suicide, I had been driven so nuts by all of them. The attempt failed, mostly thanks to my dad (who's a doctor) saving my life on the operating table, and I have since been very grateful and a lot more mature, as have all my friends and family. But that's a story for another day.)
So, when I returned home in late August '94, I was happy. I had my family back, and I was going to get my life back too. The friends I'd made had to leave and get back on the highway, but we promised to always remember each other and in fact I got many letters from the bikers I knew in the years since. Still do today (I've even occasionally managed to send some back :). The Road Moccassin was a parting gift Snake left me, I've enjoyed it since. But not as much as the memories I have of the time I'd spent with the first true friends who helped me to mature, take responsibility for and deal with my problems, and overall made it easier for me to handle my life. Not till I met Doug and the Ravens, and I started coming in here, have I found friends as good and true. <smiles> Thank you, all of you, for everything. <looks around at everyone and smiles at them, then stares off towards the horizon for a long moment as if remembering things long past>
Wow, I talked about that for a while, didn't I? I told you it was a long story. :) Hope you've at least enjoyed it. :) Your biker origins (as Snake would call them) are pretty interesting too, and your bike sounds like a good model. Glad to know that you have places to enjoy riding it, there's not really that many bending roads near Austin. Definitely not like there are in the Alps! <grin> I too am friends with most of the bikers in the world (there have been some I met who were just plain awful jerks, unfortunately, as well as brutal racist, chauvinist, hateful pigs. Some of them we've taken care of in the RP :), the ones who are good wonderful people (don't worry, that does include you :). Hope we continue to be friends for a long time.
Terry Brooks: I've heard of his books but I unfortunately haven't read them. Maybe I should someday. :)
Niamhgold: So you are the fic writer. I thought you might be. <grin> So I guess I better give you the feedback I promised, huh? :) Well, to start, I have not read all your stories. The two most recent ones are still on my to-read list, it's taking me some time to get to them. The others, though, I have read and enjoyed. You write very well, in terms of both plot and character development. I like the dialogue in your stories also, even if it does drive me crazy sometimes (on the rare occasions you get someone out of character). The morals of your stories have been enjoyable too, especially in Thicker Than Water (which had some bits that reminded me very much of my own family and how I have to deal with them :), and the utterly hilarious Stealing My Heart. I've also enjoyed the things you've done with old familiar Gargoyles characters like Xanatos and Dingo, and your original characters like Ferdinand and Isabella. Overall, you write very well and you have improved with practice over time, which is good. I am looking very forward to reading more of your fics when I get the chance to, sorry I haven't been able to in months. Also sorry I don't have the time to say more in this post about your stories, I will after I've read over them again and refreshed my memory on some things I may have wanted to talk about but forgotten. :) Is that feedback good enough? I'll send more if it isn't (and probably even if it is :). Hope it helps you feel better with your dog dead and all (I too am very sorry to hear about that :(. Cool netname origin, I have just one question. Out of curiosity, what was Niamh the goddess of?
Mecord: <nods> Tanis was also a very interesting and intriguing character. Sturm was more my kind of man, though. :) I almost cried when I read of his death. Overall, the original Dragonlance stories were very good, wish the books since had lived up to them (not too many have, unfortunately <sigh>). They rank with Tolkien's books, David Eddings' Belgariad and Malloreon, and the Chronicles of Narnia IMO as some of the best available fantasy literature. Glad you've enjoyed them as well.
**BEGIN SPOILERS FOR TIMEDANCER AND CHRISTINE'S FANFICS**
Excellent job on Twilight Falls, Todd. The story had a very interesting plot, despite the lack of Sata (yeah, I know, Timedancer stories don't need her in them to be good, but they are a lot better IMHO). I enjoyed what was done with Blaise and Vortigern and how their backgrounds were filled in. Brooklyn had some good development too, I can hardly wait for the story where he finds out what's on that scroll. :) Especially enjoyed the dialogue and documented emotions and reactions (the knight's comment about gargs on churches made me laugh my head off too). Great story overall, hope to soon see more good work from you and all the TGS Staff.
Christine: I have also read Bittersweet, just before I started typing this post in fact. Enjoyed it immensly, it had good developments on Goliath and Amber, and on Old-Mother as well. I liked the plot and how it filled in some things that have happened since Damien (though there are many things I'm still wondering about, like how Demona escaped the Abyss, who the Nightstone Assassins are, and when and how Maggie died <sniffs>). I was glad to see some of the events that have happened for the clan have been good, and Reverend Harry and his Cult of the Sacred Wing cracked me up. :) Also, excellent job on the foreshadowing of what might happen to Amber in the past. I am looking very forward to your next story. Oh, and btw, I too am very angry to find out someone plagarized your work. Have fun taking appropriate revenge on them, let us know if there's anything Doug and I can do to help.
**END SPOILERS FOR CHRISTINE'S FANFICS AND TD**
Firestorm, Wilek: Thanks to you both for those possible free DSL service links. I'll have to check them out later. :)
Denis: Thanks for plugging Injustice 3, I am looking very forward to it too when it comes out, as well as all your ficverse's stories. Hope the twists it has are interesting but not overwhelmingly shocking (though they might be, as a great number of twists in your ficverse have been in the past. :)
Zath: Good luck to you with the troubles in your life as well, hope you're soon able to overcome them. I'll be praying for both you and Stormy until you come back.
Jaden: Goodbye and good luck to you too. I hope to soon see you again, have fun in the military. And remember, no matter how long you're absent, you will always be our friend.
SJ: <nods> I too agree completely with you about Steven Seagal. We can put him down as the one action star whose movies I never have enjoyed. :( If he would just let himself get beat up once, I'd have no problem, but no! :) I agree with you about movie fights too, they're best when they're realistic. <Walken in Ep 2> Alright! I'm looking forward to that. (Hope they give him more character and dialogue than Sam Jackson got in Ep 1. <sigh>)
Archwolf: I kinda agree with you about wolves, I don't know why so many people have it in for them either. Probably has to do with all the bad stories about them (Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Boy Who Cried Wolf, Wolfman, etc), and how most programs I've seen featuring wolves portray them as brutal vicious animals, not as noble or intelligent creatures. It's often rather upsetting to me, and I very much understand how it is for you as well.
SOROW: You won the Drill Team contest? <whoops> Alright, you go, girl! Big congratulations. I know how you've worked hard for the position, and that you deserve it. Hope you enjoy it now that it is yours, being Drill Team Captain has to be one heck of a responsibility. :) I'm sure you're up to it, though. Good luck dealing with the associated trials and bearing any captain jokes your fellow drill team people give you. (My friend Tricia once was a drill team captain, she had to bear captain jokes all the time- every time people wanted to get her attention they went "Oh captain, my captain?"; somebody would yell "Captain on the bridge!" whenever she walked into a room; people would salute her when she gave advice and go "Aye, Captain!"; etc. It drove her nuts. :) We'll of course be behind you through them all. :)
Theresa: Good luck with the operation, I too will be praying for your eye and hoping it heals.
Bengali: Thanks for warning me about that PSX game. I will of course be boycotting it. So will, I hope, all the decent people of this planet. :)
Daniel Hightower: Glad to hear you're archiving the RPs into one page, I look forward to the finished product. The CR archive should help you, as should DumlaoX's earlier attempt to make a website archive (which is still up by the way, even if it's no longer being updated. Click my name for the link.)
That's all for now, so I'll say goodnight. Nice talking to you all once again, I look forward to the next time. Everyone have a good weekend and stay cool. :)
**RP RESUMPTION**
The screen comes back on, to show Kit and the other Ravens debriefing each other now that the battle is over and making sure they're all alright. Many of the team, Shap and Shauna especially, are heavily wounded, and Orion is applying healing magics where he can. Everyone looks very confused and sad now that the battle is over, since they've heard about the explosion that apparently killed Jaden and all can see Doug, who is lying against a far wall with no trace of emotion visible on his face, still breathing but not doing anything else. "I still don't know what to do to help him," Orion tells Kit with a saddened expression. "I've prayed, but God has been silent. I will try again." "I'll try too," Tricia seconds, trying to calm Kit with a hand on her shoulder. "I will do what I can to help as well," says Lathrop. "It saddens me greatly to see Douglas like this, when I have watched his mind grow and develop into a great fountain of intelligence and wisdom for so long." Kit nods and sighs. "Thank you," she tells them. "I hope we can find something to do. It seems hopeless right now." "Nothing is hopeless," says Erin. "We must look for a cure for whatever it is that ails Doug and have faith that one exists." "Erin's right," Gubio seconds. "We can't give up." "Who said that we would?" Jammer snaps, his arms crossed in frustration. "I just want to find the guy that did this, and blew up our pal Jaden, if he's still alive. We'll make him fix Doug back to normal, and then we'll make him pay." "Jammer," sighs Shauna, "from what Kit's described, no one could have survived the blast that took Jaden and that guy out. I very much doubt we'll find them alive." "We should look, though, shouldn't we?" Jammer protests. "For Doug's sake. This jerk who got blown away may have been the only one who can help him now!" "I agree with you, man," says Boris. "I want to help, just tell me what to do." "We all want to help," Keith sighs. "We must remember, though, that we can only do so much." "Yeah," Stephanie agrees with a sigh. "Maybe we ought to call Wilek about this. He could know what to do, or know someone who does." "Maybe that little demon guy can help us," Shap suggests, cracking his knuckles. "We'll have to interrogate him as soon as he awakens." Mist meows in agreement, and Kit nods. "Yes, we will." She then turns to Tom and Elena as they walk into the room escorting a well-muscled and very tanned blonde woman in military garb handcuffed between them. "Did you find out anything from the soldiers?" Kit asks. "They didn't know anything except their orders," Elena answers, "which were to support some guy named Alchemist in taking us out." She indicates the woman. "This is a Lieutenant Leah Howell, she's the highest ranking of them that's still alive. They were all under General Zale." "We brought her in here in case you wanted to question her yourself," adds Tom. Kit nods and turns to the female soldier, who glares back at her with harsh brown eyes and a look of silent anger. "Put her back with the others for now," Kit tells Tom and Elena. "We'll decide what to do with them all later, I don't have any questions for them beyond the ones I told you to ask just yet." Tom and Elena nod and then march off still holding Lieutenant Howell, who continues to glare daggers back at Kit as she is escorted out. Kit turns away from her and back to the others, a frown on her face. "What we should all do for now is rest," she tells everyone. "This battle was very difficult, and it's left us a lot of damage, which we'll probably be better able to deal with in the morning. I'd like all of us to take watches, though, just in case. More of Thailog's troops could show up, and so could the local police. We've already had to flash those credentials Solomon Brand gave us at the motel staff members who asked what went on with our battle, we may have to do it again." "Definitely," nods Jammer. Kit is about to say something else when there is a loud cough from the far corner of the room, where Lathrop stands with Bardic and Lloky (who are both in human form now of course). "Before we all retire to our beds," he says, "might I suggest we ask these two dragons who assisted us who they are and where their loyalties lie. They have just reminded me of their presence and I thought I'd do the same for them with all of you." The Ravens nod and all turn to face Bardic and Lloky. "We're grateful to you both for your help," Kit speaks for the party. "Thank you. We don't know you, though. Can you introduce yourselves, tell us what you're doing here?" "Certainly," Baldric replies with a bow.

Why that -! Who has the nerve to do such a thing? Can you get the story removed? And can I help you torment him/her?
Whatever happens, I say the fiend is just asking for a Joyride. Warpmind, care to do the honors?
Anyway, my G2K weekend is set. I'm registered, I have roommates, and I just booked plane tickets.
Disney Quest? Could someone EM me privately and explain? I *have* been out of the loop - thank goodness the play's over! :)

Christine- that's awful!
Coyote- thanks.
Tomb raider stuff--- Well, this is gonna seem weird because I just posted a long rant regarding my petpeeve of metal thong underwear for armor in station 8- but, I like Tomb raider. I know her dimensions are unrealistic, but personally I think Ally McBeal has a lot more impact than Lara on how girls/women think they should look.
I like Lara. Why? Well, because she doesn't strike me as a bimbo- to me a bimbo is a twit- no brain. And Lara comes across as having brains of some type, as she does know about the artifacts she goes after and is not easliy decieved by the various types she runs across. Plus I really, really like the fact thaat she is so physically active- that she goes out and does stuff, has adventures, and doesn't need someone else to bail her out. I also like all the problem solving she (or the player) is forced to do- it may sound cheesy, but I played this game when I just moved away from my mom, and it helped me grow in my problems solving skills. I'm not saying Laura would ever be the logo of NOW, but she's okay in my opinon. Not a Jill Valentine or Claire Redfield, or Regina from Dino Crisis- but she's okay. I like seeing female lead roles, rather than just non playable, non acting characters.

**growl** HANGIN'S too good for 'im! BURNIN'S too GOOD for 'im! HE should be CUT UP INTO ITTY BITTY PIECES and BURIED ALIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!
**starts hulking out until the others calm him down** Okay, I digress. But still ... a suggestion, mayhaps someone could pass along the addy of this archive where this story's logged and see if any other Gargfic authors have been ripped off.
Jenna: Got your message, and yes, it's doable. In fact, I was gonna get some cut for the auction in Orlando, one more isn't a problem, really. Just need some info from ya ... I'll continue this over e-mail.
Disney Quest: Oooh, fun! Now we got Christine in, too! Gonna be fun now! :)
Stephen: Hmmm ... interesting dilemma there. Well, all else fails, if you can manage a quick trip into Orlando ya'll could probably meet up with Blue Caeru and XenaTrek (both of whom live there).
Aaron: Certainly, I'll pass it along when I communicate with her next.
Crzy: **slaps forehead** Damn, ya reminded me I've been forgetting to put that pic on my site! Next time I get my act together, I'll post it. :)
SOROW: Congratulations. :)
SJ: Well ... dude, ya gotta consider that in the Green Hornet TV show Kato stole the show all the time (but considering that in the TV show Kato was played by THE MASTER ... Bruce Lee ... it's kinda understandable.).
Warpmind: I'll repeat it, since ya missed it ... Mara-ko is currently being besieged by a combination of a hellish school schedule and her computer crapping out on her again. The last contact *I* had with her was an e-mail last week. Hopefully after April things will get better and she'll be able to be back with us more regularly.
**POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE MATERIALS AHEAD!!**
Bengali: **stands and applauds** You might be more interested in the Tomb Raider comic, friend, 'cause the comic puts forth a lot more characterization ... and additionally, Lara Croft is drawn much less voluptuously than her cyber-counterpart.
Tell the truth, I see enough voluptuous women IRL, I don't need to draw them myself. (See, larger bustlines are, unfortunately, genetic in my family) And besides, I don't find gigantic breasts that attractive, anyway. As I saw once in an issue of Heavy Metal (when they still did the little one-page B&W strips in the middle of the mags), a character once questioned his buddies' breast obession during a strip-club jaunt: "What's next? Giant disembodied knockers the size of Volkswagens bouncing around on stage? Come on, it gets excessive after a while!"
My point being ... it ain't about size, it's about proportion. :)
**END POTENTIALLY OFFENSIVE PART!**
And I believe that's enough for me ... oh, yeah, maybe I should mention this ...
I GOT ME A COPY OF "NAZCA!!"
Yeppers, anime with our good buddy Thom Adcox Hernandez doing a voice for a character. You gotta see it to believe it ... his character's an honest-to-God psychopath, you'll never believe it's the same guy doing his voice that did Lex's until you actually hear him talk (there ain't nobody else with that voice).
Okay, that's it for me then. :)

hi all, just had to post this hope you enjoy it!
I'll catch up on the room next!
The Taco Bell Chihuahua, a Doberman and a Bulldog are in a doggie bar having a drink when a good-looking female Collie comes up to them and says, "Whoever can say liver and cheese in a sentence can have me."
So the Doberman says, "I love liver and cheese."
The Collie says, "That's not good enough."
The Bulldog says, "I hate liver and cheese."
She says, "That's not creative."
Finally, the Chihuahua says, "Liver
alone......cheese mine."
Delphi exits QUICKLY before the groans knock her down!!!!

Warpmind> <<It appears as though someone wishes to make a Gargoyles MiSTing archive, and asks to include the Demona's Payback series there, as well. All in favor say Aye! And Wilek, could you ask Pistoff what he thinks next time you e-mail him?>> Sure thing! ^_^ <<I... heh... I kinda lost his adress... :|>> It's pistoff@cybcon.com :) <<What the <Censored> is keeping Mara away from us, again? *Sigh* If this dear chibi-goddess would just check in a little more often... :(>> I miss her too. <sigh> CHIBIS! [Chibi Vega, Chibi Alucard, Chibi Edea, and Chibi Freddy gather 'round. Wilek shows them a picture of Mara and her chibis. Wilek: "Find these people and rescue them from whatever it is that's keeping them away from here. Oh, and track down some new chibi recruits while you're at it. <grin>" They nod and teleport off.]
Gside> <<Translation errors/inaccuracies can be quite amusing sometimes.>> <hehehe> Ohhh, this is so true. Check out www.classicgaming.com/whazzat for a very good archive of video game mistranslations. 8) <<I must ask, what is the carrot for, or have you gotten rid of it with subsequent upgrades?>> This isn't the same device; I named mine after that one. (I could do some pretty twisted stuff with that carrot, though...)
Theresa> <<I had a minor operation to remove a scar on my forhead and the doctors (graduates almost) were congratulating themselves on their stitches. I now have a beautiful black (more blue actually) eye and a huge pressure bandage until morning when I change the dressing.>> ACK! O_o' Hope that heals soon...
Mecord> <<does that mean we have a 29% chance of imortality?:)>> Probably... 8) <<Wolves have every right, if not more, to this world than we do.>> I once saw a T-shirt in a catalog, bearing the saying 'Respect Your Elders', along with pictures of wolves and whales and the like, and statistics regarding how long ago they appeared on Earth. Pretty interesting.
Archwolf> Stupid person> <sigh> Why is it that people refuse to realize that animals only attack out of defense or hunger, and are therefore harmless if treated with respect. <rolls eyes> <<Personally, I think immortality is a fool's wish. I sure as hell don't wanna stick around this place past my time.>> If you're immortal, you'll live long enough to take advantage of very advanced space travel, so you won't have to stick around in either case. ;)
Bengali> <<I hate those stupid games where they have these "female heroes" that are nothing more than big-breasted bimbos designed to satisfy the sick minds of perverted men>> I totally agree. Now, a *real* female video game hero (Aeris Gainsborough, Samus Aran, Adrienne Delaney, Jill Valentine, etc) is one thing, but games whose main feature is some empty-headed Barbie doll should probably be boycotted (and yes that includes the <shudder> Barbie games). <<I read PSM magazines latest issue, did you know that this one gaming company is coming out with the first AO {Adults Only} game for the Playstation?, it is almost EXACTLY like the Tomb Raider games exept the "female hero" in it is completely nude.>> What...?! >:( <speechless>
Winterwolf> DC Death> Fascinating...the original Mr. Thingy looked more like a dentist's chair designed by Clive Barker; it never even occurred to me to miniaturize it. Great idea. ^_^
Christine> <<Spike just informed me of a site where someone posted one of my stories after "rewriting" it to include a couple other characters.>> Wha...?! <simmer> Plagiarism is a very, very Bad Thing. As for Rodlox's suggestion of unleashing the various evils of the CR...I say, go for it. [Wilek speaks into a cell phone: "Chibis? It's me. After the rescue, we have an annoyance to take care of..."]
DPH> <<Do the other RPers archieve their RP's into one page? Just asking 'cause I'm going to work on combining the RP's into one page.>> DumlaoX started to, but RL intervened before the project could begin. Glad you're doing it. ^_^

*Archwolf comes in, followed by several cubs*

As long as my highchool team remains, my name lives. And eventually, I will have my own family, and my bloodline will live. To me, THAT is true immortality.
Christine>*Enters into one massive blood frenzy* Gimme the MOFO's email addy and I will see if i can wreak a bit of creative havoc with ihm.

FBNI>Welcome. I would tell you to deposit your sanity by the door, but I don't think that will be an issue. I do agree, though, some of those lines seem to capture the whole TimeDancer feel.
Rodlox><<if you see that Mother again, point out that wolves do NOT do the following>>If I see her again, I am likly to try to rip her throat out. Still holding the struggling elf, the she-wolf looked at Senthet. "Name's WinterBlade." Archwolf, weak and battered, slowly made his way to where they were talking. "She's a Black Fury from Manhattan. She spends a lot of time at my Caern in Belfast, though." Archwolf made the introductions, starting with Mecord, and ending with the elf still trying to escape from Winter. "She was working with the Dark Mage. What do you wanna do with her?" Mecord, picking himself up off of the deck, looked at Lithanne. "first, I want Winter to let her go, so she can see if she can help her brother. Then she is going to tell us exactly what the hell she thought she was doing. Archwolf nodded at Winter, who shrugged and let the elf go. "Um, Mecord? Where did Bardic go? We could have used him." Mecord had turned to keep an eye on Lithanne while she worked. "Hopefully finding us a base of opperations. But knowing this universe, he managed to get himself and Lloky into some sort of trouble." Archwolf thought for a minute. Without consulting WinterBlade, he made his decision. "Mecord, our caern in Belfast is pretty big, and well defended. it is also a large garison, and a contingent of Theurge healers. We can take you there, if you want. If not, well, would you mind having a couple werewolves and a direwolf along for a while? The council wanted more information before they would officially get involved."

Starsinger> <<I now have a beautiful black (more blue actually) eye>>: I have heard some fun stories about nosejobs. Apparently they just use a hammer and chisel, which breaks all the capilaries nearby, giving double black eyes. And hip replacements are even more fun: they just whack a ball on the end of a spike into the femur.
Rodlox> <<didn't they do that during part of Monty Python's Holy Grail?>>: Yep. Terry Gilliam rocks my world (even without Munchausen).
Mecord> <<does that mean we have a 29% chance of imortality?>>: Only if we (those who recieved that statistic) partake constant sex for the rest of eternity (the satatistic was 71% chance of dying during sex).
Wilek> Mr. Thingy: I must ask, what is the carrot for, or have you gotten rid of it with subsequent upgrades?
Winterwolf> <<I might have to put a witch's hat and nose on you>>: That would be odd. I'd much rather face the peril of Castle Anthrax. I can face some peril!
Well, I rather like Bedivere and the witch scene: there is an engineering attitude there.
Warpmind> <<Linus Thorvalds is not a Norwegian, if that's what you think>>: Not really, but you tend to be a significant number of miles closer. That, and to a very untrained observer (such as a stupid American like me), the accents seem slightly similar.
<<Now, what's gonna happen to Amber, I wonder...>>: I vote for a strange sense of humor, and adherence to what happened. (see TD: Menagerie)
<<ADOM is a sure win>>: It's all about Rogue.

FBNI>> Hmm, interesting.
James Birdsong>> Feel free to post at any time.
Starsinger>> Hope your eye heals quickly. Take care of your eyes, I wear glasses because some careless idiot sprayed a nasty cleaner in my face in 6th grade. I’d wear contacts, but now I can’t stand anything in my eyes.
Archwolf>> In total agreement on the wolf issue. They always seem to get the bad rep. Wolves have every right, if not more, to this world than we do.
Immortality> Speaking as one who is immortal, it does have its down points, but all in all, it’s not that bad. The occasional memory wipe can be fun (as long as there’s a way to reverse the affect later). The hardest part is living with the mistakes made, and trying not to make any more. Oh, and here’s food for thought. If you believe in any kind of afterlife, you should probably consider yourselves immortal as well, and act accordingly. Just because you lose your body at death doesn’t mean your existence ends. I’ve always looked at death this way, It gives me a little different perspective on things.

Thicarrn pulls the dagger out of his arm and stares at it, “Lithanne… sister, what have you done?” The elf blacked out as the poison began to run its course
Mecord watches the mastergem bounce hopelessly out of reach. Another unseen kick drives him to the ground. Archwolf fires his weapon at the air over the fallen elf. Something punches him in the stomach and pummels him. Weakened from the Dark mage’s blast, he too collapses. The female werewolf leaps through the air, but connects with nothing. She gaped in disbelief, every sense had told her something had been there. Warfrost was also acting on his senses and darted back and forth as if attacking. From the look of it he was receiving worse than he gave. She was about to rejoin the attack when the female elf stopped her.
Senthet watched Warfrost as well, “Amazing, she’s using a dimensional pocket to attack from.”
“A what?”
“What we use to hide in at times, it takes a lot of magic. I never thought it could be used to attack. I’ll try to open a door, you’ll have to jump in and stop her.”
They did so, the female werewolf leapt through the portal, taking the elf by surprise. They grappled; Lithanne was strong, but no match for the werewolf, who snapped at the elf’s face. Lithanne jerked her head back and the werewolf’s jaws closed on her necklace. With a surge of magical energy, the necklace broke and the dimensional pocket disappeared.
“That’s twice you’ve saved us,” Senthet called, “Who are you?”
Lithanne came to her senses and saw Thicarrn lying next to her poison dagger, “Brother? No!”

Why can't I get the job without experience? How does one get experience without a job? What good is a degree if a company won't hire someone without experience? What good is a college that has a degree program without some sort of internship to go with the degree? Why do places of work want OVERQUALFIED people to work UNDERPAID?

Ahh, I feel slightly better now. hmm. Is that the quality of this room more important than its size? I was wondering because last week's (after it was finished) was almost 400 K. If this room ever got to 600 K by the end of week, would it be wiped clean sooner, not that I am complaining about its size?
**DC CONSPIRACY SAGA continues**
DPH arrived at Mr. Connect's home. He noticed Mr. Connect was looking wore out.
"Why are you so tired, Mr. Connect?" asked DPH.
"It's a longgg ssttoorryy," said Mr. Connect wearily.
DPH summonned lightning to revive Mr. Connect. Afterwards, Mr. Connect looked 50% well.
"Is that better? Tell me the story," said DPH.
"Thank you. There is an entity out there more powerfull and more cruel than Mr. Disconnect. His name is No Connection Allowed. He hates ALL technology. He killed ReConnect. Reconnect and I were keeping NCA [No Connection Allowed] in a forcefield. Somehow, NCA escaped and killed ReConnect. I managed to put NCA in a forcefield but I had to maintain the forcefield by myself."
"NCA and ReConnect were of the third race, right?" asked DPH.
"Yes. They are several more members of the third race who 'deal' with technology. For Example, there are NetLag and SuperSpeed. Everyone of us has a countermate. ReConnect was DC's counter and I was NCA's. But NCA grew too powerfull for me to handle ALONE so I recruited ReConnect to help. Together, we were a match for NCA. One of these days, I am going to collapse and NCA will be let free. I'm afraid that NCA will attempt to kill me when he gets out. That is why I share immortality with DC," said Mr. Connect.
"BTW, do you know of anybody who would want to steal solar powered light bulbs?" asked DPH.
"Yes, Mr. NCA did. He escaped for a brief moment and took them," replied Mr. Connect.
"I'll see what I can do to help you," said DPH sincerely.
DPH summoned more lightning to revive Mr. Connect. Mr. Connect looked 95% well. DPH headed home and started to think what he could do about Mr. NCA.
**END DC CONSPIRACY SAGA for now**
