Cool poem I wanted to share:

There she stands, this lovely creature
There she stands, the she stands
With her hair full of ribbons
And green gloves on her hands

So I asked this lovely creature
Yes, I asked. Yes, I asked
Would she walk with me a while
Through this night so fast

She took my hand, this lovely creature
"Yes," she said, "Yes," she said
"Yes, I'll walk with you a while"
It was a joyful man she led

Over hills, this lovely creature
Over mountains, over ranges
By great pyramids and sphinxes
We met drifters and strangers

Oh the sands, my lovely creature
And the mad, moaning winds
At night the deserts writhed
With diabolical things

Through the night, through the night
The wind lashed and it whipped me
When I got home, my lovely creature
She was no longer with me

Somewhere she lies, this lovely creature
Beneath the slow drifting sands
With her hair full of ribbons
And green gloves on her hands
-- Lovely Creature, Nick Cave

This remind anyone else of Timedancer? :) Just wondering.

Everybody at G2K wisheds Robby a happy Birthday...
Did a lot of stuff today including seeing Thom's tatoo's and getting all the guests to sign my G2K poster, oh and atthe raffle for the bankquet. I won the chance to sit at Greg's table...in fact I sat by Greg! The only bad part was that we had to eat by candlight, lightening struck atransformer and all of I drive was out...and well since that was I drive they got it fixed real fast. well I'll report again tommorow.. can't wait to see 3x3 eyes.

Hello all
Well it looks as if most of the people are at the Gathering. Thankgoods I'll be able to go in 2002!!!

Robby, Green Baron- Happy Birthday!!!

Pendragon- Can't wait to see the new season in two weeks or something like that.

I'm am starting to feel good about myself! I'm coming out to my family cause I'm not going to live a lie my whole life. I told my aunt last Sunday and she was so cool about it. I was so shocked about it, but she knew for awhile but just not said anything, I was like why did'nt you say anything before! But she is okay with it!
Well that it I guess

With so many people off at the Gathering, I suppose that this is not the best time to go into lurk- mode. This is what happens to me after having been gone a week. Maybe this mini- post will help get me back into the typing routine.
*A shimmering light envelops Cyborg and her computer*
Well what do you know, speak of the devil and ye shall be blessed. Wait, that doesn't sound right....

My Uncle left two days ago (yes, it took me that long to even say 'hi, I'm lurking'). Every time he visits, I learn more and more about my Grandfather and the rest of my family. Uncle John, a.k.a Mr. Anecdote. He is the only one that talks about Ireland and my Grandfather, everyone else grew up with a shoud of scilence over those subjects. I love listening to stories. It was the first thing about Stephen that attracted me to him, he tells a great story. Uncle John says he will try to get down here again some time in November, and my Auntie Fionna is trying to organize a family reunion for early January. So what if I can't go to the Gathering, I may have a family reunion to look forward to!

I installed the new version of StarOffice on my KDE desktop (Okay, so my part involved saying 'Da-dy, come fix!'). I played a bit with the spreadsheet, it seems easy enough, but I don't like how much like 'Microsoft Office' it is, such as taking up so much space when it's opperating.

I'm back in a program at school, YEAY! Picked up a calender and registering information on Thursday, and classes start on the 24th. I havn't registered yet, but if I'm lucky, I'll have a three- hour free on Mondays and Wednesdays to catch up in here.

Don't feel like replying at the moment, it must have only been a 'remove curse'. Try me again in a bit.
Au revoir

Happy birthday, Robby and Green Baron.

No BFTS RP this weekend.

I woke up about an hour ago. I plan on getting more sleep today. My only problem is I do not know how much sleep I had exactly (to the nearest hour).

Wierdness - A certain number has appeared a lot in my life.

3+3<-6 9+7<-16 4+8<-12

2 weeks before I can afford to buy a new computer. Of course that will deplete all my money at the time.

Robby & GB: Happy Birthday! :) Since Coyote the Bando isn't here to say it... ** Wheels in the giant execution cake and a remote control ** Choose your flavors, boys!

Warpmind: And I'm off to the fanfic archive!

Adios!

*heavy sigh*
well, I just spoke with Denis and they are having a great time at G2K. Of course, I doubt that Coyote appreciated my two early morning phone calls since they were up until 2am ;)
We had a "looser's party" in Mini Clan chat last night... for those who couldn't attend the Gathering this year. *chuckles* We all have plans of attending next year though =) I have a credit at Continental Airlines now and I will hopefully use it towards flying to LA for G02.

Thanks again to those who have wished me a speedy recovery. Some days are better than others, but I'll continue building strength each day. My cardiologist tried to tell me that I could return to work next week!! *falls over* Yes, my heart is fine now - it's the rest of the body that is going to require extensive healing. I'm going to have to work with the surgeon on the release to go back to work. I have no intentions of returning sooner than the SIX weeks that everyone else (medical people) said that I would need to recover.

Well, I'm off to the George Bush Memorial Library today. My mom has never been there and it is very interesting. We enjoyed the Republican Convention this past week =) I think George W. made an excellent acceptance speech.

Must go.... it takes me twice as long to get dressed nowadays. They have wheelchairs at the library... how embarassing *blushes* I did get a handicapped card for my car and now everyone wants to ride with me to the mall, Wal-Mart, theater, etc. LOL

Spacebaby> thanks for the update on everyone. =) Give them my love and especially to Denis, ok? ;)

All who are at the Gathering now officially are the target of pretty much all of my envy... Still, if the Powers that Be are willing, I'll see some of you another year...

Gside: Lucifer? Um... close, but not quite. Lucifer was slain weeks before things started to go sour. No, it's not Lucifer that will be the problem... ]:)

I noticed that I didn't complete the third sentence of my last post. I was just wondering whether enyne else tracks my mp3s.

Wilek> <<<insert opening monologue from The $6,000,000 Man>>>: We can make him better... bigger... stonger... faster... The King.. of.. Spain. I'm telling you I was the King of Spain.
<<<<[techie babble]>> Ye...just lost me, lad.>>: Of course, but that really was real babble from my class. Multiplexors (MUXs) shoot one signal off onto a chosen (with other inputs, using binary) wire out of a group. It is needed to split the signal between small RAM chips when making a large chip from standard components. That probably didn't make any more sense.
<<I have one of an exploding Yorkshire terrier...>>: Ever seen one of a run by shoveling? Of course the whale is a classic.
<<I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts!>>: All standing in a row.
<<I'm guessing there isn't a ballroom where they do Johann Strauss>>: They really should have one. And a live big band.
<<This is gonna be one kickbutt party>>: Nah, won't be that good without duct tape or police light bars (I know a source).
<<Were you traveling away from the green one at relativistic velocities?>>: But do not tell that to a police officer, for that could not be a good time to be a smart!@#. (reference: Prof. Mohan Kalelkar)

Warpmind> <<What happened wasn't a reboot, just a wee little rewind>>: I consider it approximately the same story-wise.
<<Well, there is one more thing directly relating to the cause of the ruined circuitry>>: Right, so **SPOILER** when are we seeing Lucifer again? **/SPOILER**

Shadowrider> <<anyway, if you say so...>>: You don't have to rely on just me. I extend a permanent invitation for anyone to contradict me grammatically.
<<Is not possible the most intelligent "human" in the world to be a woman?>>: I think it was for a while. At least the highest IQ score was (Marilyn vos Savant).

Happy birthday to both Green Baron and Robby.

hmmmm I guess I'm the person to give you all updates.

Well I ran into Aaron,GB,Lisa,Coyote,Mara,Mandolin, Denis Winterwolf and Crzy....and they all ROCK!
Aaron wore his black duster and Mara kept playingwih his hair braiding it up like Duo's. Mara showed a lot of her sketches and participated in the Jalapena eating contest...she didn't win though. GB was toataly cute in his green suit with blue bow tie. Mandolin was hyper,Coyote was a sweetie the same with Winterwolf and he showed me his handmade Sata figure. I listened to fanfic, saw the art, listend to a lecture by Thom Adcox Hernandez, had ice cream, learned how to make costumes and action figures and listened to the opening and saw some cool videos from Greg himself.

Well I'll report more tommorw and try to score a top ten for all the G2K people. Later all

DPH shifts into weekend mode for the first time in three weeks.

Doug - Personally, I prefer to think Chaos inhabits my workplace rather than JRSU. Wait a minute: When I think about it, both JRSU and Chaos bother me at work. Chaos bothers me when everything is on the right track and I am about to succeed at a goal at work. JRSU ensures that no one gets told about where to put wires when they have problems (all I do all day is cut wires to the right size [if I can find them all]).

Is there any computer program or website out there that allows me (on a computer) to send a message to a cell phone if I know the cell phone number?

Well, I guess I was wrong about the CR size this week. But I am glad to be wrong. :)

As promised, BFTS RP later today.

But first, *DPH revives JRSU with a healing spell. JRSU starts to thank DPH, but DPH summons a lightning attack against JRSU and knocks him unconscious. I just can not stand for the room to have blood dripping on the floor. DPH pulls a vacuum cleaner and removes all bloodstains from the room. DPH spots Chaos about to enter the CR room and summons a thunderbolt attack against Chaos. DPH can not find any remains of Chaos around. That was for cutting down on efficiency by giving new orders one hour after starting work.*

**BFTS RP continues, but is monitored by an unknown force**
continuing right where I left off last time.
A few boring minutes pass.

Greg Garrison continues speaking, "The threat made by DPH is minimized by the use of our suits. However, his little trick . . " A quick clip of DPH opening a portal appears on the screen. "makes paying attention very imporant. We suspect that if someone was monitoring ions in the atmosphere at that moment a quick drop would have been noticed. Pay severe attention when around DPH because he may send you anywhere. We will be equiping you with a device for locating you if you should remain out of sight for more than a couple of minutes. He was not at his best during the battle, no doubt due to the sonic weapons. Someone needs to continiously fire sonic weapons at DPH to prevent him from being at his best.

A few minutes pass while Greg continues speaking.

"It is time for a 10 minute break." says Greg. Everybody leaves the room for a break.
**END BFTS RP**

Slow week, isn't it? Of course, with all the people away for the Gathering...sigh...

Gside:> <<Of course, but you seemed to be implying reasons that should not be explored in such a public venue.>> Oh..I see...<grins>...no, it was not that sense, but another, a bit more...romantic, I think.
<< info (or information) pluralized.)>> Really? Weird...I seem to remember I've seen them in plural form...anyway, if you say so...

Kitainia:> Yeah, Michael Biehn is a very good actor..."Terminator" a romance movie...I've never seen it that way...but I have to admit that the fact Reese travels back in time to find the love of his life is quite romantic...hey, wait a moment...I wrote "travels back in time to find the love of his life"? It reminds me of something else...a certain couple of Gargoyles I heard about...<laughs> Ok, Kit, you showed your point...as I said, I've never seen the movie in that way, but you're quite right. Thank you for telling me.
About Francesca...well, "De gustibus..." ;)

Fire Storm:> Daria: The Kiss? Whoa...I'll have absolutely to see the ep...

Jannie:> You are still in my thoughts, I wish you a quick and definitive recovery.

Doug:> <<At this point, much of my sanity depends on it.>> Not only your one...
<<Glad you're back from it, though, even though it was so great- we missed you. Hope you will hang around a lot before you have to go away again.>> I missed you all as well. I sometimes feel wonder in thinking how quickly the CR people has gained an important place in my life...Well, I have six weeks before I have to leave again, so I'll be around for a while.

Niamhgold:> The most intelligent man in the world? Hm...yes...maybe...just because didn't take part...;)
BTW, why the most intelligent "man" in the world? Is not possible the most intelligent "human" in the world to be a woman?
Cold Summer: Ow! You have all my comprehension...
Oh, please, check your email as you have time (nothing urgent, anyway)

Rodlox:> Today I received an email from you...it was supposed to be your M.I.B. story, according to the subject, but probably something happened...it seems to be composed by random characters. Please, resend it if you can.

Nothing more? Oh, well, I think I'll go to bed...
See you all!

*Warpmind enters, sporting an impossibly huge, swollen black eye.*
Ehum... this is nothing... you should have seen what happened to the bo I was twirling. Memo to self: Never attempt the one-handed technique again before having earned at least three belts...

Congratulations, all those who are at the Gathering. Wish I could be there, but the airfare 'cross the Atlantic was a *wee* bit too steep... :(

Gside: Oh, I misunderstood... What happened wasn't a reboot, just a wee little rewind. In other words, all who died are now officially non-dead, after all. The only effect is bad juju. Well, there is one more thing directly relating to the cause of the ruined circuitry, but... Sore wa... himitsu desu. ];)

Doug: Ooo, a new personality, eh? Glad to beat... uh, *meet* him. ]:) *Grabs Mr. JRSU and bangs him up a little.* Presumably, his working area includes aducational institutions et cetera, so I guess I've earned this... *Pulls up a small syringe and injects a vicious-looking fluid into Mr. JRSU. He starts screaming.* Ah, the joys of my special phosphorous solution... the phosphor binds itself to the blood oxygen; the only way to stop the fire is to wait until all the phosphor is burnt out, or stop breathing... I'll give it three or four hours. ]:) *Starts watching Mr. JRSU's agony, and pulls out a bowl of popcorn.*

Wilek: I'm against alcohol *abuse*, but I do enjoy an occasional drink. However, I do look a bit at the math here... with over 90% tax total per bottle, you can probably safely assume that more than 90% of the sold alcoholic drinks are either moonshine or smuggled across the border... THAT is what I meant. Oh, and as for the bodycount thing... *eep* I've kinda given up on that. I yield. :)

*Skims toward the door.* Gotta run. I saw something interesting on the History Channel, about the Borgia family in 15th century Rome (including Pope Alexander VI), and I'm looking up info, maybe for a future fanfic... So long.

** Niamhgold enters, with a great deal more time today :) **

Hi to everyone who also couldn't/didn't want to go to the gathering today! (And also hi to those who have access to a computer from G2K!)

Since I finished my last deadline, I am happily in a lull at work. I took an extra day off to enjoy the weekend, since, where I live, it's the first 80+ heat we've had all summer! (July was the coldest July on record since the mid 1880s :0)

Also, I was watching the news last night about the possibly most intelligent man in the world (which, in my opinion, is an unfair assumption, since it depends on which standards one uses to measure intelligence). Seems he works as a bouncer in Manhattan, owns a tiny house filled with books and computers, and in his free time works on his combined theories concerning the natures of religion and science. Now, can anybody say "Good Will Hunting?" It's just too much like the movie for my belief. ;)

Mandi: Congrats on the new and improved job! :)

Doug: <Demanding job> Don't worry, things will even out soon. Just rest assured that we'll wait as long as necessary to read your next fanfic--but RL does come first! < Car > Yes, repairs on autos can be quite frustrating, especially when you're on the receiving end of the bill! ;) My gas tank recently had a leak in it, and I paid mucho dinero for the repairs!

JRSU: ** Zaps 'im good! ** You're not allowed here, Mister--and shame on you for sounding too similar to JDSU! >:D

Katara: Condolences on the vehicle problems!

Jannie: Just have one thing for you! ** Many get well hugs! **

Firestorm: Good to see someone else was as shocked by the season finale of Daria as I was! I _have_ to watch the show, since Daria is one of my namesakes...and I've never seen Trent with so much impact on an ep. :)

Kit: Terminator was _definitely_ a romantic movie! :)

Adios, all!

**WARNING: OUTDATED REPLIES AHEAD. SPONTANEOUS RETROGRADE CHRONOMETRIC ACTIVITY MAY OCCUR IN THIS AREA.**

Cyborg> <<I have to get myself a copy [of the Book Of Nod]. I had a really neat reading from it at my (SCA) wedding.>> At...your wedding. Interesting place for the vampiric equivalent of Genesis and Revelations. ;) <<I found a couple of my Dad's old joke books in storage, and now I have all of these wonderful Truly Tastless Jokes running around in my head.>> Ah. Perhaps ignorance is bliss. ;P <<Because everytime I try to write something in one of those things, it always ends up sounding really stupid?>> The same thing crosses my mind every time I post here or write an e-mail, but I'm dumb so it doesn't stop me. ;P <<He can do stiff (Owen), and then with a little make- up, he can do crazy fey (Puck). Two very difficult casting jobs done in one (and it fits the story too).>> Hm...he can be very Owen (Data, kind of) and Puck (that scientist guy from Independence Day, kind of) in live action...don't know if he has a very good Owen voice though...

Todd> <<Oh, no, not the old "Are gargoyles aliens?" hypothesis again! Why do so many people keep on persisting in believing them to be aliens?>> Hear here...in fact, I've always thought that it was humans who might be the aliens; they're more unlike most of the rest of life on Earth than gargoyles are...<<One bit of weirdness regarding the Harry Potter business: somebody's started marketing a few things for it already (I think that it's WB), and one of those pieces of merchandise is Slytherin shirts. The thing that I got wondering about was: why Slytherin shirts? After all, the Slytherins in the Harry Potter series are the nastiest, most evil wizards in the "Potterverse" (they produced all the villainous wizards from Lord Voldemort himself down to Draco Malfoy); why would any Harry Potter fan want to join them? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the shirts don't sell very well.>> Ehh, it'll probably appeal to the kind of person who wears Darth Sidious/Maul/Vader shirts (ie me). >:)

Mary Flanders> Rapes> ACK! O_O' That's awful...hope some vigilantes catch this scum and show them *exactly* what it is like to suffer like that...

Kyryn> <<Seriously, if there is no ecological niche into which they can fit, then there is a possibility, however improbable, that it could be true. ;)>> No ecological niche? Try primary consumer--ie predator--probably mountain dwelling. ;) (I'm thinking their natural habitat is the same kind of environment as eagles--it makes sense, considering the claws, nesting, wings, and resistance to cold...)

Kitainia> <<I'm sure there are many people who would love to know who seems to despise us so much. <grin>>> Oh by all means...I think there are a lot of quite literal axes to grind... >:) <<Yeah, it disappoints me that Bravestar's disappeared too. But that show did have its imperfections. Still, I liked the big horse with the bazooka. <grin>>> Nothing like one of those to liven up a party. ;P He was very kewl, as, if I remember correctly, were the villains (a skeletal guy and his creepy demonic-looking master; I think the latter was named Stampede)... ^_^ And happy belated birthday! :D <<the Dark Mark is Voldemort's symbol. It's a skull with a snake coming out of the month.>> My GODS I have to have a T-shirt of that...<<Sorry I forgot to ask you this last week, but what is the Yellow Sign? I'm not familiar with it.>> It's a subliminal focus for madness and evil, surreptitiously stamped into certain editions of the text of the haunting and dreamlike play The King In Yellow. From what (admittedly little) information I have on it, it seems to lure/brainwash/hypnotize/something people into worshiping or summoning the titular King, an avatar of the dark god Hastur. (Doesn't sound much like the Dark Mark, but I like it. ^_^) That's nothing, though; the play Massa de Requiem per Shuggay, when performed with full orchestra and chorus, summons Azathoth halfway through the third act (just try sticking to 'the show must go on' when THAT happens). It can really ruin your day. :) <<His books are indeed great works of art (especially Needful Things, The Stand, It, and Christine), but what he's doing with Internet publishing…hmm, I don't know about it.>> I have a story of his that I rather liked that came exclusively in electronic format with a software package called F13 (creepy screensavers, wallpaper, sounds, etc); it's the only thing of his I've ever read, and what I've heard about his works makes me regret that...

Zath> <<**Suddenly, the Robotic Richard Simmons, altered to look like Tim Curry enters and starts singing "I'm just a sweet Transformer from Tr-" Fortunately, every weapon in the CR turns and destroys the abomination before it can finish.**>> Shame, that. He too would be great for livening up a party. 8) Hm...I think one of my characters can rebuild this...<insert opening monologue from The $6,000,000 Man> <<The only thing bigger than her Id is her ego ; )>> An admirable trait. ^_^ <<Is the Dark Mark anything like the Yellow Sign?>> From The King In Yellow? (I'd love to see Tim Burton do something with that, or anything else from Lovecraft...)

Gside> <<A am so glad the 211 final is not cumulative. but then again, I might need MUXes for memory chip combination.>> Ye...just lost me, lad. :} <<Another great filefor relief is something I have called sheep.mov. So much fun if you can put it on loop. It gets funnier each time. I might put it up someday.>> I'll be waiting with baited breath. :) <<Then my ex-roomie has some utterly random violence in video format...>> Sounds fun. Heh, I have one of an exploding Yorkshire terrier...<<Welcome back Wilek.>> Thanks. ^_^

Equation> <<do we know for a 'canon' fact that gargoyle reproductive rate is so long -- on the order of 20 years? to my knowledge, it was never mentioned or hinted at in the series itself>> I think Greg said it. <<now most (like 99%) of the bones in gargs have directly analogous counterparts in the human body, with the exception of the wings... has anybody ever wondered just how those bones and muscles fit into the back???>> I like to think they fit into extra sockets in the shoulderblades.

Winterwolf> <<<Star Trek voices in your fics> You've caught my interest. I'll have to take a look later.>> ^_^ I've arranged a partial cast list (wnereus.cjb.net/castlist.html). :) <<Well if a swallow were to carry a coconut... A swallow is too small to carry a coconut! Okay, how about an African swallow? Yes, but an African swallow is migratory bird! Two swallows then using a line to carry the coconut...>> I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts! Big ones, small ones, some as big as your head! Give 'em a twist, flick of the wrist...WTF am I on about? <<There are seven dance floor each one offers a different music option.>> From the rest of the description of the place, I'm guessing there isn't a ballroom where they do Johann Strauss. ;P

Fire Storm> <<Well, I got a good Darth Vader TIE fighter, but a REALLY bad Bird of Prey. (Note to self... find a good BoP)>> Ah. I'll try to track down a decent Bird Of Prey...note well that 'try'; I'm rather bad at hunting stuff down on the Web. :/ Tie Destroyer> My GODS... :O <<Well, if you think about it, insane or otherwise, how many people in here are really that bad?>> True; I was merely pointing out that relative normality seems to be mercifully rare here (and I adore the phrase 'festering snotrag of the criminally insane'). ;) <<Why j/k? It seems like every time we update the archive, the server crashes.>> You have a point...<<Any 3d-modeler know where I can get 3d Pokemon meshes? I want to make Pokemon v2.0>> There's a PlanetQuake.com hosted site that's working on a Quake 3 anime mod that incorporates Pokemon, but I don't know if any of the models are available yet. :/ (Speaking of Pokemon, I saw the movie last night. Much better than the show. >:D Wish the OST was available...) <<Or douse the 4 kids with rubbing alcohol and light one of them on fire? Guess which one a Detroit woman chose a few weeks ago?>> :O <grrrr...> Where'd I leave my dual flamethrowers... <<Don't I know it! When my dialup was messed up, I was jonesing for my 'net, so I went to my dad's house (HE has DSL!)...>> Hm...I know a place that gives free DSL access, but it involves convincing ten people to download a software thingy (I am not good at advertising) and giving the company your address so they can ship you a DSL modem (I think), so naturally I'm staying away...<<DUDE! Lint AND twine? Stop hogging all the cool stuff!>> That's nothing--I have balloons and shiny things! WHEE! <poing poing> ^_^ (Let's see--shiny things, lint, a transvestite robot, balloons, plays that induce madness and summon evil gods, twine, and a big horse with a bazooka. This is gonna be one kickbutt party.)

Doug> <<<Harriet the Spy on Buffy> Hmm. I say it again, Hmm. I didn't really like the Nickelodeon movie with her in it, but hey, if she can act the part…<shrugs>>> I've never seen Harriet the Spy (or Buffy), but wasn't she also Penny in the Inspector Gadget movie? I kinda liked her work there. ^_^ (I wish Nickelodeon had made an Are You Afraid Of The Dark movie. It'd be a whole lot more interesting than Rugrats and Goodburger...) JRSU> I don't have a job, but this sounds like the kind of individual who merits my special attentions...<disembowels JRSU with a fork, just because>

Christine> <<I woke this afternoon from a strange dream in which I was helping my mother look for bones in Grandma's house, to be told by Tim that I needed to call Mom. Because, as it turns out, Grandma passed away today.>> Oh no! :( Sincerest condolences...

Janine> Dream (the king and such)> This would make an interesting fic...

Robby> <<Wait a minute, the twenty minutes of almost complete and utter garbage that was Pikachu's Adventure could have been used to make the film longer!>> Just like with Pikachu's Vacation in the first movie (WTF was with those LSD-inspired scene transitions?)...<sigh> <<You know you're either bored, tired, or inspired when you're supposed to try and go to sleep, but you can't until after you've drawn furry Sonic the Hedgehog-like versions of Jessie and James from Team Rocket... I'll scan the pic in if anyone is willing to put it up on their website temporarily to show to the CR...>> I am all over that. 8)

Katara> <<<<SpaceBalls>> GREAT flick idea! Mel Brooks rocks!>> Ehh, I prefer Young Frankenstein. ^_^ (I have the soundtrack; I am addicted to the opening theme...) <<pretty hard typing with one hand. the cyst in my left wrist is flared up again, so that means the tendonitus is back again.>> Ack. Hope that clears up soon. :/

Jannie> Surgeries> Ack. O_O' Hope you come out of that OK...<<I am so damned disappointed and depressed over not being able to attend G2K - for various reasons, that I'm miserable and cry all the time. I do this "miraculous" recovery that everyone else proclaims and for what?.... to come home to constant reminders that I'm not going to in Orlando? constant pain everytime I move or breath? I should have stayed in the hospital and insisted on being kept sedated. At least I had someone to talk to when I walked the hallways at 3 a.m. each day.>> :`( Man...<hugs you, lost for words>

SJ> <<he could publish his grocery list and a million folks would buy it.>> Funny you should put it that way; I seem to remember Michealangelo (the artist, not the turtle)'s grocery list selling for like a million dollars once...<<I don't want this comic-to-small-screen adaption to end up looking like that show Nightman. Anybody remember that show?>> I saw a scene once, and I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or kill something. (I opted for C. They still haven't found all the pieces.) <<Treize Khushrenada (God I love that name....it just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?)>> It's pretty kewl; right up there with one of the kewlest names of all time, Casanova Frankenstein. ^_^ <<More Lady Une. Can't get enough of her. I don't care which version you give me--Evil Dominatrix Heart of Ice Bitch Goddess Colonel Une>> My GODS I admire her. I've only seen her once and I worship her. I idolize domineering women. They are just...kewl. (It's my kink. Deal. ;P )

SRSJ> <<As of today, my missus Andrea and I are splitting up.>> Oh no! :( Very sorry to hear of that...

Patrick> <<So for good or bad, it's back to the old way of collecting MP3's... mindless hours searching the dark corners of the web for stashes hidden on private servers.>> Or try www.gamingforce.com.audio, www.idrive.com/wnereus, or www.idrive.com/s8osv (recently updated, slightly). They're no Napster, but they'll do. ^_^

Warpmind> <<This all adds up to the grand total of 294.51 crowns - more than ten times the cost at the import company... with these figures in mind, I shall do my best to speed the Nereus Project on this side of the Atlantic. Wilek, make haste, will ya?>> Well, I'm kind of against alcohol (although at least the alcohol industry doesn't seem to be actively malevolent like the tobacco industry), but there's always the option of replacing it with synthehol--no lasting ill effects, so there'll be no excuse for taxation. :) <<Out of sheer curiosity, is there *any* fanfic author out there who is even near my total bodycount? (About 1/4 of Earth's population so far...)>> Mostly unrelated incidents: The eventual destruction of planet Coruscant (yes, *that* one), estimated population in the hundreds of billions, the destruction of several other planets with similar populations, and the casualties of the ensuing war will probably number in the hundreds of thousands or the millions; the destruction of the Eyrie and virtually everyone therein; the destruction of several square miles of area in Germany around the Brocken; the genocide of an entire alien species (in the distant past, but it is an original part of my ficverse so it counts); the slaughter of a clan numbering in the dozens; iron meteorite rain on Avalon; a few hundred (at least) people that have died at the hands (among other things) of the Soulseekers...

Mara> Happy belated birthday! ^_^

Gasper> <<I can't take an MP3 in my car cdplayer>> Do you have a CD-RW? :) Love taking my favorite songs from Dracula Battle Perfect Selection (Japanese Castlevania gothic rock album) on the road. ^_^

Live-Action Gargoyles casting> For the gargs and Fey, I'd probably use CGI, so the original voice actors would do...and I think Salli Richardson looks enough like Elisa (from what I've heard, at any rate)...for Owen, I don't know; does Jeff Bennett look the part? And Mulgrew would be perfect for a live-action Anastasia Renard...

TGS Voice Casting> For Sata, I can only imagine Mira Furlann for some reason...

Coyote> <<Sevarius: Tim Curry. End of discussion, not only is he a great voice actor, he's a well-established film actor>> Agreed. He doesn't look much *like* Sevarius, but he does have the right look *for* Sevarius, if that makes any sense...

Newcomers> Surrender your sanity, and remember to give the werewolves the occasional scritch behind the ear and a slab of raw meat every so often. ^_^

Sarge Abernathy> Welcome back! ^_^ <<yep....*sniffs the air*...smell that ol' garg fan comment room air!...Ahhhhhhhhhhhh.........=)>> Nothing like the smell of dried blood, bizarre chemicals, ionization from energy weapons, body odor from a variety of nonhuman sentient species (wash all you want, it's still there; ask any canid), and many varieties of incense in the morning. 8) <<my garg series which was a good idea is gone. I don't think I have any need to start it up again, unless I get a REAL good idea for a perhaps small series.>> I'm starting to fear mine is going to go the same way...I've worked out most of the timeline, but I haven't done anything for the actual execution of it in weeks...maybe I'm just an idea garg. :| (I wish I could draw; then I could accomplish something more constructive than being annoying in here. ;P ) <<Rabid beavers in TuTu's specializt>> That's good to hear; my rabid beavers in tutus (a crucial element in my plan to take over the world) have been kind of off their game lately. <<After you use the "Goliath in a tutu" gag. There aren't that many left>> You seem to have a lot of expertise with weird things in tutus. ;P <<I got preoccupied by this piece of twine. OHHH WATCH THE TWINE! WHEEEEEEEE!>> And there's another reason my fics have ground to a halt. EEEEEE! <poing> ^_^ <<This one! The United States of the Bahamas!....no wait....of England....no no....ummm...Qatar?...no um.......>> Irving, actually. <<In my top ten I said two red gargoylian children. This is not true. One is red...the other green. I have GOT to pay attention!>> Were you traveling away from the green one at relativistic velocities? That could account for the redshift...

Gargress> <<I think the best, me being a resident, is Universal's Islands of Adventure. The Marvel Comics Island and The Lost Continent are my fav islands and the rest of the park is just plain fun.>> Hm...I've only ever been to Disney; maybe I should try those next time I'm there. ^_^ Win Xanatos' Money> I wish Jonathan Frakes could be there and I could have a video of it. 8)

DPH> <<I still hold a bet: the CR size for this week will NOT exceed 210K.>> <looks up at this post> Hopefully this won't ruin it for you. ^_^'

Dis Connect walks into the room and sees JRSU lying on the ground.
"What cha doing here cousin?"
"Getting beat up. Why?"
"Figures. Sly SLudge was smart enough to run off when people stopped paying attention to him."
"Yah. What about our other cousin?"
Suddenly a portal opens up and out walks... Kenny, the CR Lawyer.
"Cousin!" JRSU yells out. Kenny frowns.
"I am afraid you gents are breaking the rules. I shall have to ask you to leave."
"Wha? What rules?"
"No RP only posts for one. Despite this not being an ongoing storyline, I think this qualifies as role play, with little to contribute."
Dis COnnect stutters. "But almost no one is posting..."
"No doubt your doing." Kenny frowns.
JRSU speaks up from the floor where he's still stuck. "No, everyone's at the Gathering."
"Oh." Kenny frowns. "Then you at least are guilty of having an akward and unpronouncable name with no vowels early enough in the name for it to be a valid name."
"What? You can enforce laws about pronunciation? Since when has THAT been in your jurisdiction?"
"Since the start of this post being made by someone who is quite clearly tired and nearly incoherant."
"Ah. So, what are you going to do about it?"
Kenny pulls out a gun and shoots JRSU, then shoots Dis Connect for good measure. A portal opens up, and Kenny leaves. He smiles and comments "Have a bad day gentlemen. Those of you CR dwellers that remain, have a pleasant weekend."

**RP WARNING**

"What is going on here?!" Tiara roars as the screen comes on, and nearly all eyes in the area of the Underground City near the pillar elevator spin to face her. The Isolation Patrol all frown as they see her, Vincent, and Kovu- except for the leader. "Lady Tiara!" he says, in English for the benefit of the humans. "These humans have apparently unleashed a genie and a dragon that are destroying the city!" "What?!" Tiara's jaw falls open. "What?!!" Vincent and Kovu roar in agreement as one. "Yeah, what," Gubio growls. Erin meanwhile keeps shouting at Lloky, who is ignoring them and keeping up the fight with Dao. "Lloky! Take care of that guy already! We have to do damage control now because of you!" "Oh sure," Lloky mutters as she hits Dao with an uppercut and knocks him into a building that collapses under his weight. "Blame it all on the dragon who was only trying to help." As the genie groans in pain and starts to get up, she snaps her fingers. "Get out of here! You know you can't win! Tell your master these people are under my protection! Go!" Dao grimaces but nods and then vanishes, causing Erin, Mist, Gubio, and Terrell to all breathe heavy sighs of relief. "That genie attacked us," Terrell tells Vincent. "Erin summoned the dragon for defense, she didn't know it would damage the city so much." "I see," Vincent frowns. "These humans are a danger, Vincent!" Kovu roars. "They brought such a dangerous creature as a dragon into our city and…" "Excuse me!" Lloky interrupts him. "Look, I'm sorry I wrecked part of your city, okay? I had to fight that genie and save my friends' lives! I'm sorry!" Tiara and Kovu ignore her and turn to Gubio and Erin. "Get that dragon out of here!" Tiara orders. "Now!" "Alright," Erin nods, looking just as angry. She holds up her ring. "Lloky, you better go, we'll handle this." "But…" Lloky protests. "No buts," insists Gubio. "You've done enough." He shakes his head. "Just go." "Fine, whatever," Lloky sighs. She then disappears back into the ring. "Check the rubble," Vincent orders the Isolation Patrol. "See if anyone's injured." They nod and move to comply. Vincent turns back to Gubio and Erin. "That genie just appeared and attacked you?" "It could not have!" Tiara snaps. "They must have summoned it!" "Yes," Kovu agrees. "These humans want to destroy our city! They…" "Shut up, both of you!" Vincent commands them. "Terrell, did this genie just appear and attack you?" "Yes," Terrell nods. "We had to take drastic measures or we would have died. I'm sorry." "It is alright," Vincent sighs, looking at Gubio and Erin. Kovu and Tiara open their mouths, but the caiveh leader shuts them up with a glare. "We didn't know she was going to knock over those buildings, Vincent," Erin says. "We…" "Say no more," Vincent cuts her off. "I understand it wasn't your fault. That genie will be gone now, he shouldn't attack you again while you're down here. Go with Terrell to complete your business and then leave." "But…" Gubio begins, but Vincent has already turned around and started walking off, going to the destroyed buildings and helping the Isolation Patrol and others pull out the injured. "You will rue having done this, humans," Kovu says to Gubio and Erin. "Vincent may be willing to make apologies, but we know what you have done." "You better leave this city fast," Tiara adds. "Otherwise…" "Go to hell!" Gubio interrupts her. "Both of you!" He then turns and storms off, Erin frowning as she follows. Terrell shrugs when Kovu and Tiara look at him, then walks after them, the smiling Mist just behind. Kovu looks at Tiara as they leave and grimaces. "This is bad," he whispers. "If they didn't summon that genie, Abdullah probably did. We knew he wanted those humans dead, but he didn't warn us about this!" "No matter," Tiara growls back. "You know we can't complain. Let us call Abdullah and ask him for advice on this situation, tell him what happened. He needs to know." Kovu nods in agreement and then follows Tiara as she heads back to the government stalactites overhead. The screen goes out.

**END FIRST BIT OF THIS POST'S RP**

Hi everyone. Hope things are going well for all of you. Sorry it's been a while since I've been in here, my job has been really demanding lately and it only looks like it will get more so. It's been taking up the time I used to devote to everything else- this CR, writing my fanfic (may have to push back the release date on Losses- sorry, I'm doing my best), reading, everything fun I used to do. I need to devote myself to the job, though, I need the money, so this is the way it has to be. :( I can deal with it, probably. I just hope no more frustrating mishaps like what I went through today (see my rant earlier for details) happen again. <sighs> I pray for it, too. What happened today was REALLY frustrating (the fact that I couldn't call my supervisor- he has to call me- and report the problem until he came to relieve me at 11:00 pm, thus making me suffer with a bad cart battery for several hours, only made it worse). Oh well, I'm doing my best to get over it now. On to replies.

Happy Belated Birthday to Mara and everyone else who's had a birthday recently that I may have missed. Also welcome to all newcomers, hope you are able to enjoy this place. And don't mind giving up your sanity. :) Welcome back also to all who have returned to us.

SJ: I agree with your sentiments about recruiting for TGS in here, I think they should do it too. What better place is there? Of course, coming from me the point is moot as I don't have the time to devote to TGS even as much as I would like to help them with their problems. <sigh> Hope they find enough good people to fill in. Thanks for telling Kit and me Gervase got booted off the island, we feel very relieved about that given the kind of man he was. Hope the prize money goes to someone deserving now. :) Also agree with you about Tim Roth and Planet of the Apes. Sometimes one wonders why movies even get made, it's such an obvious bad idea. Look at this weekend's lineup, and you'll see several examples. :( Also agree with you about the Nightman show, I remember it. Not fondly, I must say. :( Thanks for the Spiderman movie info, like I said before, hope that film turns out good. Also hope for the release of Crow 3 soon- with Kirsten "Cortesia" Dunst in there, it should be an interesting movie to say the least. Almost all her roles so far that I've seen have IMO been that way. :)

Niamhgold: We're glad our car survived the recent trip we took with it too. Just hope all its problems will be fixed soon (the repair guys say we should be able to get it back tomorrow- yeah, right is what I think after all these delays <sigh>). Thanks for your encouragement. <Kiefer Sutherland as Castaway> Great idea. Few people I've seen play better psychos. :)

Mandi: Congrats on getting the new webpage design job. May you have much good luck with it. :)

David G: Congrats on the new cat (cool name for it!), and thanks for stopping by and letting us know you were alive. Hope you'll come back again soon. Good luck with your AC too.

Shadowrider: <I've verified the CR is still here> The CR will always be here, or at least it better be. At this point, much of my sanity depends on it. :) Or what passes for my sanity, anyway. Glad you had such a great vacation, sounds like it was truly wonderful. Congrats on it, and on your friends too (thanks for telling us about them). Glad you're back from it, though, even though it was so great- we missed you. Hope you will hang around a lot before you have to go away again. :) Glad you enjoy Spike on Buffy, many great bits with him abound. Cool Terminator opinion too (with great basis in facts, the movie's gonna feel a lot different the next time I watch it! :). You're welcome on the congrats.

Christine: Wish I could contribute something to Avalon Mists, but I really don't feel I have the time right now. :( Good luck getting other submissions. Looking forward to reading Dark of the Elvenwood when it comes in.

Mary: Good luck getting that friend problem fixed, I hope it is resolved satisfactorily. Good luck also with your senior year- just remember, if it ever feels too hard, great things are waiting at the end of it. :) I too hope they catch those rapists soon.

Joe: Don't worry, you have time to make those decisions. Don't be too scared of senior year, either, you should have people to help you get through it. And great things are at the end too. :) Just heed Jannie's advice, remember what I said, and you should be fine. :) Thanks for letting us know where to find your music, hope we can get the chance to download it soon. As for the marriage of Kit and myself…well, it's gonna happen sooner or later, don't worry. :)

Jannie: Like I said before, I am SO glad you're alright. <relieved sigh> Good to see you back in here and recovered, though I am once again sorry you had to miss the Gathering. :( Oh well, you had good reason. May your physical health stay at a good level for a long time to come, your other friends in here and myself shall do our best to make sure your mental health does that, especially now in this time of your unfortunate depression. Let us know what we can do to help you get over that soon.

Brooklyn: Congrats on triumphing over the flu. I know from experience how hard that can be. Welcome back also. :)

Mara: Congrats on getting your brother gone, sounds like he was a pain. Sorry to hear he took the good computer, though, hope you can get a new one soon. Happy Belated Birthday, like I said above.

SOROW: 1984 is indeed a very very interesting novel. Definitely much better than other future-predicting tales of its vein. <cough…that IMO awful Brave New World…cough cough> If it didn't get all convoulted towards the end, it would be perfect. <sigh> For now, glad that you're enjoying it as much as I did back when I read it. I wish you good luck with your reading as well as work and getting ready for school.

Kyryn: Thanks for keeping us up to date on how the new TGS and Pendragon seasons are coming along, I appreciate it. Hope to be reading the new stories very soon. :)

Winterwolf: Thanks for the info on The Tunnel. I may have to feature that club in a story someday. Am thinking I should have done so in Elysium, it sounds perfect for what that story was about. Oh well, I didn't know about it then. <sighs> Hopefully there will be another chance. :)

Kaioto: Thanks for stopping by to let us know you were alright, we miss you but understand the time constraints. (I myself especially understand them- <sigh>) Our thoughts and prayers will be with you too, hope that you can someday return to your earlier posting rate, not to mention the RP. :)

Firestorm: Thanks for the Merlin Missy update. I too hope she will get back into the fandom and look forward to seeing more of her writing soon. I've liked it ever since All Through the Night, the story that inspired me to start writing crossovers. :) Also thanks for the Daria info- it really stinks not having cable when you miss great moments like what I think you mentioned. <sigh>

Katara: Hope your van gets fixed soon, sorry to hear it sprung that leak. :( Also, good luck with your ex-husband and making peace with him. Not to mention maintaining it.

<sighs> And that's all for now. Everyone who's going to the Gathering or there already- have a great time! Know that we miss you and wish very much we were there with you. Hope you will get back soon (but not too soon, so you have some fun! :), and tell us about everything that went on. I will sleep now, get some much-needed rest. Hopefully when I report to work tomorrow the cart problem will have been repaired by my supervisor (whom I trust), and there will not be any negative results from the frustration I went through because of it today. At least, I pray it will be that way. <crosses fingers> Hope I won't be the only one who does. Later, friends!

**MORE RP- THE RAVENS SAGA**

The screen comes on again, this time displaying the barracks restroom at Area 51. Doug is still gasping as Jerec chokes him, while Kitainia and Lathrop draw their weapons. "Hang on!" Kit tells Doug, firing her laser at Jerec. He flicks on his lightsaber and laughs as he deflects the bursts. Doug meanwhile keeps gasping, and Lathrop tries disrupting the psychic choking with a spell that fails. "Face it, Ravens," Jerec grins. "You cannot defeat me!" "Maybe they can't, but with our help…" a voice interjects, and then all of a sudden, Jerec is knocked over by a wave of psionic energy. Tricia, who threw it, keeps on the pounding, while Jammer, Keith, Elena, and Boris run in with weapons at the ready and begin to open fire on Jerec, who is barely able to leap up and start dodging or deflecting their shots. Jerec's Force-hold on him broken, Doug falls over and sighs in relief, then gets up breathing heavily. "I hit the panic button," Kit explains as she, Lathrop, and the newly-arrived Stephanie help him stand up. "Are you alright?" "Yeah," Stephanie adds. "I saw it. He was choking you!" "I'm fine," Doug shakes his head, looking very angry. "Just mad as hell." "Aren't we all," Lathrop smiles along with the two girls. Doug nods, then turns to the Dark Jedi facing off the rest of the Ravens who are present. "Hey Jerec!" he yells. "You know, attempting to kill me really weakened the chances of my believing that BS line you fed me a while ago. No way I'm _ever_ going to join Thailog now!" "That no longer matters!" Jerec replies. "Soon you will be dead! All of you!" With that, he makes a gesture and toilets and sinks are ripped off the walls and flung at the Ravens by telekinesis. The team is not able to dodge them all and Jammer, Elena, Keith, and Stephanie are all hit hard and knocked down. "Take this, jerk!" Jammer yells, firing a full clip from his assault rifle. Jerec deflects it with a Force-shield and then rips the weapon from Jammer's hands and flings it across the room using telekinesis. "Darn it!" Jammer snarls. "We can't even hit this guy!" Boris complains as he and the others fire only to have their shots deflected by Jerec's lightsaber or his use of the Force. "I am too strong in the Force for you, Ravens!" he laughs. "Feel my power!" "You feel this!" Tricia retorts, hitting Jerec with a huge power blast that knocks him down and causes his lightsaber to implode in his hands. "No!" he roars. "You'll pay!" Then he raises his hands and launches Force-lightning at Tricia, causing her to scream as it hits her and go unconscious. "No!" Jammer shouts, running to her side. The others growl and keep firing at Jerec, but he uses the Force to block them and strikes back with his lightning. "This is the end, Ravens!" he shouts. "Lord Thailog will be very proud of me!" "We can't beat this guy!" Doug gasps out as he and Kit are knocked down by a two-forked bolt. "We have to keep trying!" Kit replies. "Sooner or later he'll run out of power!" "Hopefully sooner!" Lathrop says in a frustrated tone. "He's even blocking my spells!" The other Ravens look equally frustrated as they have their shots deflected by Jerec's Force energies. Boris and Elena scream as their weapons are pulled away and they are then electrified, while Keith is knocked out by a sink hitting the back of his head. Stephanie screams a kiai and charges Jerec, but a bolt of Force-lightning knocks her back. She curses in pain as she gets up. "Tricia's fine!" Jammer yells, trying to stoke the team's morale. "Just unconscious! Get him!" Jerec zaps him and causes him to grit his teeth and fall over in pain before he can say more. The Dark Jedi begins maniacally laughing as he flings Force-lightning in all directions, scarring the walls of the bathroom with blasts that the Ravens are able to dodge. Their chances of beating him, or even hitting him, seem very slim. Then Orion runs into the room, a bundle in his arms. "Here!" he yells at Jerec. "Catch!" As he flings the bundle, the screen goes blank.

**!!RANT ALERT!!**

Attention Everyone- I have a new CR personality to introduce- Mr. JRSU. JRSU stands for Job-Related Screw-Up. Give him a big hand everybody!! <much clapping and cheering as JRSU enters, smiles, and bows> This is the man responsible for every work-related problem that isn't someone else's fault. When your equipment breaks down and impairs your preformance (as happened to me today- The golf cart I use on my security job at a Wal-Mart parking lot stopped moving at a proper pace- it wouldn't go faster than a snail even when I had the pedal to the metal. The supervisor said he could fix it, that the problem was the battery- still this frustrated me to no end), this is the man responsible. <JRSU smiles> When you cannot get to the front of your work site quickly enough to help someone who needs you (in this case, a woman who needed to be walked to her car. Store management asked that I do it, but I couldn't get there fast enough to suit her- another employee had to take over. I apologized, but they were upset), this is the man responsible. <JRSU smiles again> When these problems get you so frustrated that you have to discontinue preforming your duties because the equipment you need ain't working right, so much so that it worries your supervisor and the management of the store you're supposed to be helping, this is the man responsible for that. <JRSU smiles and bows, but gets no cheers in reply. Instead the crowd is looking angry.>
_THIS_ is what should happen to that man. This, and things like it. <As JRSU frowns, Doug pulls out a large revolver and fires six shots into JRSU's pressure points, causing him to scream and fall over gasping in horrendous pain. Doug reloads and fires again, repeating the motions several times until he feels better. He then holsters his gun.> Feel free to take out similar frustration you have on this man, my CR friends! Like DC, he deserves all he gets. <shakes his head at JRSU, who is still in agony and will probably be so for a long time, as no one is going to treat his bleeding.>

**SORRY ABOUT THAT, HOPE YOU'LL UNDERSTAND WHILE I NEEDED IT. REAL POST IN JUST A MINUTE**

*Katara wearily enters the CR and falls in a heap in the first empty space she finds*

Hi all. I thought about reading through all the post, but after not checking them for 2 days, there's just to dang many of them, and I'm way to tired. Fuel pump on my van sprang a leak, so been have to use public transit to get back and forth to work. I don't mind using it so much, but it just takes so long. Transit takes 2 hours, when I can drive it in 30 mins. Probably won't be able to have it looked at until next weekend. Same ex I was ranting about the other day has duty on Sunday, so doubtful he will be down for the weekend. Hope everyone heading off to G2K has a safe trip and tons of fun. Don't forget to take lots of notes so you can share all the juicy gossip with us when you get back. Those of us not able to attend will be missing you here. Hope everyone has a good weekend. *Ciao*

If you didn't notice, I updated the playlist of the mp3s I've put up. If anyone notices something missing, tell me. Does anyone else

Fire Storm> <<Gside: What will it take for YOU to go to a Gathering?>>: A source of income at some other peroid of time during the year, a time buffer of about a week split between both sides, circuit diagrams of a tazer electric fence and stun gun, titanium lacrosse shaft, scrap sheet metal (pretty thick), some big honking capacitors (perhaps steal some from trash TVs), and a couple yards of wire. (really, I would like all of this before I go) Any reason why you ask me in particular? Feeling any homicidal tendancies towards engineers?

Sarge> <<No I work at Howard's Friendly Market>>: When you said local, Butson's was what I associated with New England.

Warpmind> <<But you ask *me* about ReBoot stuff?>>: No, I was asking about the status of your univers after you rebooted it. It was just dumb luck that ReBoot is restarting season three (mmm... season three... amazing polygon count).

Spacebabie> <<I just quoted Mokona>>: The walking inn. Made the RPG amazingly easy.

Jannie> Continued well wishes for a rapid recovery.

Fire Storm> motherboard> Asus is a pretty good name, and Super Micro also makes an ATX Xeon board. Take a look at computers.com , search for xeon.

I think that's about it for me.

Acyn- Stories where Brooklyn meets Dinosaurs? The closest you're likely to get is "Fleeting Dances" or "Ruby Eyes", where he runs into near dinosaurs. Most of Brooklyn's dances that we've seen have been within the span of human history, a few thousand years. A few MILLION is another matter entirely. Not saying its out of the question, if the gate were to somehow be supercharged a really big dance might happen, but given the current setup, probably not.

Good evening everyone who isn't in Orlando, (or is, and has a laptop)!
I would like to make a small request. It has come to my attention twice this month that people have had trouble with my address. Messages bouncing and so forth. I would like to ask (while all the hard core/lucky fans are busy schmoozing in Disney-verse) anyone who has ever tried to contact me and couldn't, to please give a real quick messaage here. I'm compiling a list for my ISP. Sorry to interupt the flow.

To get it a little back on topic, are there any, (or will there be?) Timedancer stories where Brooklyn goes WAAAYYY back? say Dinosaurs and such?

Peace

Greetings all, everyone not at the Gathering this year (can't wait for next year)...

It's finally finished! My professional writing site is online and save for a few minor glips, it's complete. The best thing to do is go to:

Click on the link "The Well-Read Inn" and PRESTO! Be sure to add it to your bookmarks, and if you want to link to it, there are a couple of banners on the main page for you to use. :)

SJ- Gundam pilots as back street boys? *coughs* I suppose that I should NOT mention the japanese girl's books full of pictures of the gundam pilots posing ala the Backstreet boys? (Including a VERY disturbing picture of Duo lifting his shirt and revealing his rather, ah... Feminine waist line...) or the multiple best selling music CD's with the actual voice actors singing? (Duo has one heck of a singing voice in Japanese, as does Wui Fei, but the others all suck...)

As far as Gundam WIng being confiusing... Three reasons...

1- Twenty year basic back history. Gundam WIng is an alternate reality from that continuity so the actual episode by episode backstory isn't needed, but the basic premise that was exlained in greater detail isn't there. So for us Americans just now getting the LAST Gundam series, we have to infer that Earth wants to rule the colonies for resources and such, the colonies want to be independant. Its England and the Americas all over again. Except here whenever one side wins the war or declares piece, a new faction breaks out and it starts up all over again. (And in some cases, the new factions only lasted a couple of episodes which well, made it fairly pointless.)

2- Stuff actually happens in Gundam WIng. Its like a soap opera done well. You HAVE to catch just about every episode, or you miss out on stuff. As is, its probably only by watching both cut and uncut versions every day that I was able to follow it.

3- We have not yet gotten Gundam WIng: Endless Waltz, the three part mini-series that EXPLAINS THE FRIGGIN BACK STORY for ALL the main characters! Eeesh... I've seen Endless Waltz myself. Did you know there's a reason Heero can't bring himself to kill Relina? It ISN'T because he's in love with her.

Old Ninja Turtles issues- If you're looking for Eastman and Laird back issues, forget about it. Those things aren't made anymore, and back when Turtles were popular, back stocks were bought out. They don't even make the trades anymore. (The same largely applies to excellent Archie run as well, but there's a few more of those floating around.) So either you get lucky searching through back bins of old comic stores, watch e-bay, or not at all. As is, I have a complete collection, (Of both Mirage and Archie versions, but not the horrid Image books.) but only because I've been collecting since oh... 91, back when they were still popular, and I nagged the issues as they came out.

Still 3 paychecks away from buying a new PC plus another week to add money for car insurance.

Hmm. I am definitely adding a new villain to the BFTS RP: Chaos.

Next year, I plan on going to the Gathering, if I save enough money up by then.

I still hold a bet: the CR size for this week will NOT exceed 210K.

NO BFTS RP today. I gotta read up when I happened during the last battle again.

Sevarius Jr.> wow! *wipes tears* thank you so very much for your kind words and wishes. This has been an unbelievable experience for me - one that I would give almost anything to have not gone thru. I'm grateful for the new life & opportunity that I have been given though. The emotions tied to this type of evasive procedure is incredible.... not to mention the pain. Then to know that it will be at least a year before Denis and I get to meet now... well, it's heart wrenching. Denis chose to go ahead and attend G2K instead of using his plane ticket for a later date of us being able to get together. I know that he was excited about attending G2K though and it wasn't his fault that I couldn't make it afterall.
Thank you so very much though - your words have touched my heart and have brought tears to my eyes. *gentle hug*

Coyote> Thank you for picking Denis up from the airport. I'm not suprised that he was shaking.... I'm sure the nerves of such a flight plus being in a foreign country is frightening, at best. I have spoken to him on a couple of ocassions since his arrival in Orlando. :)

Thank you to all of you for your kind words and encouragement for my recovery. I am an impatient person and want my body to be back to normal, if not better, as soon as possible. I'm having trouble with my leg swelling pretty bad and my foot turning many shades of blue and purple =\ I had the stitches removed today, but no discoloration, so the doctor didn't comment on the swelling.
My mom is still with me and will be here for at least another week and then I will possibly be returning to Missouri with her to complete my recovery period.

Speaking of recovery.... time to rest again.

Thanks again! *hugs for all*

Could anyone tell me the specific times for the events? or e-mail them to me??? My ride for the event is as militant as Rudy as he needs to know specific times.

Well anyway I'm 5'6' feet tall, wavy dark blond hair(although my bangs might be blue soon) that wen its wet ends at the small of my back, brown eyes. I'm not sure what i'll be wearing, but there will be denim pants,a jade necklace and a red hat designed to look like snakeskin.

Speaking of clothes there ARE Gryffindor shirts. I was at the WB stoe yesterday and I saw the Slytherin and Gryffndor shirts as well as one with the Hogwarts seal on it.

Hey all,
Survivor> Actually it's a fun watch for a usually dead night of the week. It' interesting to guess who's going to be kicked off next. Personally, I liked Gervase. By far, he was the most upfront about who he is and what he wants. My personal dislikes are Kelly, Sean and Ruddy. (I hate wishy-washy people) As far as the leak, it does raise the question if the leak was orcheastrated. (I am that cynical.) If so, it was exceedingly clever, but also cruel. If not, then someone high up was looking out for them. But I think the game is going to lose a lot of fun now, unless something surprising happens.

Gathering> Have fun everyone. I went to last year's and had a blast. I hope it is ten times more fun. (Just don't tell me. I'm eating my heart out even as I type this)

Gundam Wing> I've had difficulty getting into this myself. I think the subplots have a lot to do with it, but also I don't see the point to all this. Why is this important? What's so fab about the Space colonies? How and why is Earth holding on so tight? In Total Recall and B5, they covered what you needed to know in a few snips of dialog. Maybe I missed it in an ep of Gundam Wing. I'm still trying to catch up.

Speaking of Interstellar love and war> Does anyone know what happened to Rico and Carmen in Starship Troopers. They went from unrequitted, to an unsteady relationship, to friends. Where did I miss the break up? I'm not usually this romantic, but if you start a story at least have the decency to end it.

Got to go. Have fun you Gatherites.

Warpmind > About the HoC Mace:

The Mace is a staff of office symbolising authority.
In the House of Commons the Mace is a symbol
of Royal Authority. It represents the power and
authority that the monarchy has delegated to the
House of Commons in the past. Throughout its history the House of Commons has tried to gain powers from the monarchy. The Mace therefore is a very important symbol for the House of Commons.
The Mace lies on the Table in front of the Speaker when Members are debating.
When the chamber is used as a committee, known as Committee
of the Whole House, the Mace is put under the table. The Mace iscarried in and out of the chamber by the Serjeant at Arms in a procession at the beginning and end of each day. Without the Mace in position, the House cannot sit and debate.

The House of Lords has two Maces.

http://www.explore.parliament.uk/ is where I took this information from. You can also troll http://www.parliament.the-stationery-office.co.uk/cgi-bin/htm_hl?DB=ukparl&STEMMER=en&WORDS=mace+&COLOUR=Red&STYLE=&URL=/pa/ld199899/ldparlac/bondlec.htm#muscat_highlighter_first_match

an article about parlimentary history. It reveals among other things that the current mace was made in 1660 after its predeceasor was destroyed by Cromwell.

The Internet is a wonderful thing.

One the note Of Cashiers: No I work at Howard's Friendly Market.

On the note of Harry: That is probably a better idea.

Firestorm:>> That sounds great I'll look into it. I am planning to get all my stuff from JourneyEd.com....it's a cool place for students of college and highschool to get computer stuff for a lot less money than in the real world! My teacher told me about it.

Hi all!

Ya know... it's not often I see a episode of a show that makes me scream...
"HOLY S#$^!"
Today's Daria was that kind of an episode!

<>WARNING! DARIA SPOILERS!<>

Remember the Goliath and Elisa kiss? Well, "the kiss" happened in Daria!

<>END DARIA SPOILERS!<>

Daniel Johnson: <Oh, and if you get DSL you'll never be able to go back to dialup again.>
Don't I know it! When my dialup was messed up, I was jonesing for my 'net, so I went to my dad's house (HE has DSL!)...
I WANT MY DSL!!!

Merlin Missy updated her website! AND rumor has it she will CONTINUE WRITING! YES!
I want to know who the father is, damnit!

Archwolf: <I have to finish a chainmail shirt this week, and i am only about 10% finished with it.>
Ya know... I was told how to make it pretty dang quick with a electric drill, a Dremel tool, and a spot welder!

Winterwolf: <I really wanted to meet all my CR friends so each time I hear one of you won't be able to make it I
feel a little sad>
I think that you will have so much fun with the people that ARE there you won't worry about the ones that are not. ;)

FBI: It's wierd, isn't it? It takes 6+ years to learn to save lives and yet only 16 to be trained how to take them.

SargeAbernathy: <Question 3>
Yeah, I remember you. So you wern't forgotten!
<Hey artists out there! Any scanners you recommend?>
Pretty much anything HP...
Or 11X17... but GFL finding a 11x17 scanner for under $1400.
<that piece of twine+ lint>
DUDE! Lint AND twine? Stop hogging all the cool stuff!

Patrick Toman: <And no pics of Vinnie in this pull-down menu, either. :P>
Just yell at your friendly local artist!
They make 'em, we may use 'em!

SJ: <Al "I love trees because I am one" Gore>
Hmm... maybe Puck isn't Owen after all, but Al Gore!

Sarge: Welcome back, old friend. :)

Sarge> Yeah I remember you. You're about twenty minutes away from where I spend half my vacations, and I have a piece of your town. How could I forget? Well, very easily, but that's beside the point. Welcome back.

Welcome back Wilek.

Warpmind> <<do you have any other interesting recipes for the Cube?>>: Thare are also a bunch of recipies at planetdiablo.com , but I think (as Winterwolf said), that diabloii.net has a wider selection. If only they had a recipe for mana potions.
Post reboot effects: Bad juju is a nice effect, but did they go back to before the death, did he just get reinstalled?

Sarge> <<i loved TMNT. I loved the movies more than the cartoon though>>: But what about the Eastman/Laird (how's that for recall) stuff? I seem to recall some demanification (I just derived that word).

Winterwolf> <<The fire shrine. All it does is some damage though>>: I can take it, it does not worry me. Though the PKs might be more annoying, have you had any problems?
<<I just want to have my own game for that so I can be greedy with the goodies that I get after I smash the soulstone>>: Go ahead and kill him however you want. **SPOILER** You don't smash the soulstone until almost the end of act VI. Right next to the last waypoint (at least for me). **/SPOILER** Are these things I say of Diablo II truly worthy of spoiler warnings?
<<So is your online character on Nightmare now or is that your single player character?>>: They are one and the same. If you go to Other Multiplayer and then Open Battle.net, you can use a single player character in multi games.
<<I personally think using your imbue on the leg is a waste>>: Probably like by imbuing a short staff. I should probably save my nightmare imbue until after hell, and I have the strength for some nice armor/boots.

Shadowrider> <<Sorry, I didn't want to seem arrogant...I said that in jest.>>: Of course, but you seemed to be implying reasons that should not be explored in such a public venue.
<<You mentioned once you like to be a source of infos, but thank you the same>>: Heck yeah, but you are quite welcome. (Though I have never seen info (or information) pluralized.)

DPH> <<My bet said that he "would no win". Both times he did not win the game>>: Both times he did win the game (though he didn't realize it the first time). You have to get him to bet on what he does, not what he doesn't do. You could probably get by with a clause about rematches until a decisive victory. No mattter what, you have to ensure he loses the first time, otherwise you could not get him to play against himself (if you tried to collect on the first game).

Sarge> <<I work as a cashier down at a local super market>>: Butson's? I'm pretty sure the original Butson came from close to half my family.

Welcome back Toku (with what little time you have).

Sev. Jr.> <<suggestions as to how Gundam Wing could be better>>: And more of the engineers. Who doesn't love an engineer? Oh, yeah, right... I forgot.

Sarge> <<I have Harry....Prince of Great Britain>>: Call him Hal. Especially while he is prince. Plus, you will be able to steal some great lines from Bill.

I now leave you with what I should really adopt as my philosophy. The new mp3 is Life has Been Good to Me by Randy Newman.

I just wanted to post and say, "I CAN'T WAIT FOR G2K!" I actually just got back from the Disney parks today and posting at 12:41 am. I'm so sad I can't make the unofficial day next Monday but I'm not going to school this Friday for G2K. Thank goodness we never do anything important on the first day--and I already have my sched. Again I say I can't wait to meet all you wonderful fans that I've been used to seeing online, it's my first Gathering so I hope it's a good one. =) Everyone going to G2K must go to all the parks here in FL that they can, 'cause they're all must sees. I think the best, me being a resident, is Universal's Islands of Adventure. The Marvel Comics Island and The Lost Continent are my fav islands and the rest of the park is just plain fun. For all of you who aren't here, they'll be vids made thanks to G2K staff! yay! Well, lemme rest up so I can sponge in Garg-facts just in case I'm lucky enough to be in "Win Xanatos' Money." C ya'll.

Second Post of they day!

First a retraction. In my top ten I said two red gargoylian children. This is not true. One is red...the other green. I have GOT to pay attention!

Anyway. Rememebr how I said I only do BW fan-fiction? Well The thing is everytime I say that I instantly go to one of the other old fan-fic series I made and get a GREAT idea and try to start it up again.

And that is what I am doing.

with GARGOYLES

So that means I may need help later on. This time I plan not to make it too long, or too short. But rather eisode size. And I won't swell so long on the editing process.

I also hope to add in adventure, battle, suspense, and iorny. Why? Because I became in love with Harry Potter books and I like that sort of stuff. ( Don't worry there aren't any potters in my series.

But there is a Harry. Which is a problem. because for three or four stories I have Harry....Prince of Great Britain. Nice cameo eh? Does anyone think that would be over doing it? And do you think that would be okay?

Just a brief couple things tonight.

SURVIVOR UPDATE: Joy and Rapture, Gervase has left the island!!! Ah, thank God. No offense to the man, I know he's a father of four, but I couldn't stand him. He never did anything! Just sat around all day, playing cards and eating. It's good that he lost to, because this shows that CBS did NOT screw the pooch and reveal the winner before the final episode. My money's on either Rudy or Colleen.
and fortunately, my personal island favorite, Big Gay Richard, is still hanging in there! Even won the immunity challenge this week. Alas, I do not think that Rich is gonna be sticking around much longer.

Oh, and for those interested, Jenna might be posing for Playboy. Eh, I'm shallow, I'd buy it.

Big Brother update: All I know is that they booted off the stripper. There goes my reason for watching the show. Oh wait! I didn't to begin with...

Cartoon Network: Have you heard? CN did it's best ever in the ratings with a 2.0!!! Kudos to those guys over there. I pin the victory purely on their Toonami programming.

Speaking of Toonami.....I'm watching Gundam Wing the second time through now and.....well, I'm still pretty lost. Maybe it's just that the SHOW IS TERRIBLY CONFUSING. Good show, but it's got a thousand and one plots and subplots running concurrently. And then it switches focus entirely. One week Oz is the bad guy, next it's the Romafella Foundation. This week Treize Khushrenada (God I love that name....it just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?) is the nasty SOB, next it's Mirialdo Peacecraft/ Zechs Marquis / whatever he's calling himself this week. I think I prefer the straight up goofiness of either Dragonball Z or Tenchi Muyo (God how I love Tenchi. I wish *I* lived with six beautiful but slightly crazy women. ;)
Here's my suggestions as to how Gundam Wing could be better:
* More Lady Une. Can't get enough of her. I don't care which version you give me--Evil Dominatrix Heart of Ice Bitch Goddess Colonel Une, Sweet and Sacharine Probably Owns Tons of Hello Kitty Merchandise Diplomat Lady Une, or the Amalgamation of Both Personalities Une from the final episodes.
* More of Trowa's sister!
* Have Zechs buy a clue and realize Noin has the steaming undies for him. Please! She's obviously fixated on him, but he wants to play deathgames with Treize!
* More of the misogynistic Wu Fei and "The Sensitive Gundam Pilot" Quatre
* Give Heero and Trowa some filkin' personalities. I mean, Christ, they're probably the two most important Gundam pilots, and collectively they're only slightly more emotional than Al "I love trees because I am one" Gore. Cool characters, they just don't seem to emote much. Heero can't even crack a satisfied smile when Relena makes googly eyes at him.

BTW.....and this is just an evil creativity demon.....but I've suddenly pictured the Gundam pilots as a sort of bizarre version of the Backstreet Boys......Hmm, maybe I should end this post and let the anit-psychotics kick in.

Well, 36hrs from now I'll hopefully have touched down in Orlando ...

Finally have a little free time on my life to just say "Hi" and let people know I'm still coming to the Gathering.

As for where I've been ... well, I did something rather silly a while ago and got a real job. *shrugs* I'm up on the 21st floor of some big boston Highrise from 9-5 everyday in the Communications department doing front-end web-design and demo projects for Putnam Investments. Paid internships are a good thing. They mean next summer I can get contractor's pay for the contractor-level work I do now. Building one's resume is a Good Thing (tm).

Anyway, I've been up to my ears in site updates, content management, and redesign, and most recently completed the new Participant's Portal Site demo for our entire sales team ... I'm pooped. I'll hopefully have the much simpler Sponsor's site mostly completed by the end of work tomorrow, and be able to head down to Orlando with a monkey or two off my back.

I've also been in design and practice closeted sessions for my seeded spot in the Legend of the Five Rings world championship "Gates of Oblivion" Tournament happening the right after the Gathering. Long vactions make for busy days before hand, I guess.

Anyway, I just don't have the time much, anymore. I'm sorry I can't hang out with you gals and goyles more often, but my thoughts and my prayers are with you.

See you at the Con and fair journeys.

Well I'm back from work. I work as a cashier down at a local super market. It doesn't pay enough but luckily I've got enough hours to pay that phone bill.

Ooops! over 300$ of using the internet on a long distant phone number! What was I thinking! It means I have to work more to get to England and France next year, and to buy myself a nice scanner.....

Hey artists out there! Any scanners you recommend?

Anyway me and everyone else at the Beast Wars forums and chat rooms are completely MAD at xoom! they have nearly every site down and we can't get into the chat rooms. It's driving everyone nuts.

Well I guess i'm just ranting here. But this seems to be the plce to rant off. Rant rant rant rant. There. I've ranted.

I'm also mad a little at myself. I can write an draw really good. However I can never get myself into the mood, and when I do get into the mood it is usually time to go work or go to the gym. I can never find time to draw or write even though i have plenty of time each day! Ughhh! This this....creator's block! it is driving me insane!

here's a top something or another.....

Top Ten Reason Why i can't figure out any good top 10 reasons to.

10. This Creator's block.

9. After you use the "Goliath in a tutu" gag. There aren't that many left

8. I got preoccupied by this piece of twine. OHHH WATCH THE TWINE! WHEEEEEEEE!

7. I got stuck babysitting for two little gargoylian children who happen to be twins with red beaks.

6. Whitbourne+ kegs of beer+ dance music+ plastic monkey set + that piece of twine+ lint. Need I say more?

5. My aunt Bertha is unfortunetly still kissing me from last christmas' Mistletoe tradition. My dad thinks she is clinically dead....however then he discovered that the heart rate machine was on me.

4. Demona is holding me hostage in a fifty foot armour Hotdog prison house. Well only half that is true....*grabs some ketchup*

3. I'm really an 99 year old man in a teenager's body.

2. I'm Bill Gates! I don't NEED to do anything!

1. The voices in my head are confusing me.

Hmm.

**Temporal Paradox Question**
I have to be very carefull in phrasing the bet because it is possible to have a tie game. I stopped playing Othello online because my compuer can not handle it. :( My bet said that he "would no win". Both times he did not win the game.
**End Temporal Paradox Question**

Winterwolf - I have (as a general rule) always have more than enough plotlines to cover in the BFTS RP. I planned for your absence by ignoring the Speed Star plotline and saving it for your absence.

**BFTS RP starts to continue but is stopped by an unknown force.**

*DPH grabs a watergun he left in the room and loads it with water. Next person to enter the room gets squirted.*

**BFTS RP continues**
*a few minutes after the last post*

A few people start to yawn in the back of the room.

Greg Garrison starts to speak. "These photographs that I am about to show will demonstrate what NOT to do when dealing with this character [a picture of Winterwolf].

A few minutes pass.

Greg Garrison continues speaking, "When dealing with this character, never ever turn your back on this one. Always have someone covering your rear because he makes illusions appear."
**END BFTS RP**
What will the Speed Stars say about DPH?

Wow! New personal record; four posts in one day!

Guys, I am in dire need of info about a British artifact. It is the ceremonial Mace of the House of Commons; I need a bit of background info on it. Basically, I need to know: age, origin and where it is kept during "off hours". I know a session in Parliament cannot be held without it, but that's really just about all I could find... I *need* the info. So if anyone knows, or knows where to find it, let me know, 'kay?

Until tomorrow.

Hello, CR dwellers!

Kitainia:> Thank you for welcoming me back, you are such a good friend :). About Terminator...well, it is just my viewpoint, I could be wrong...actually, according to a lot of people I know, I *am* wrong, and "Terminator" is "Just Another Stupid American Action Movie"...it is interesting to notice that most of those people did never see the movie...
Anyway, it is strange for me knowing you saw and liked it...I noticed girls usually don't like that movie (when I convinced my friend Francesca to see it, she kept hard until the scene where Arnold self-repairs his eye, but at that scene she escaped screaming...)...but, I already knew you are not a commmon girl, and for sure a movie is not enough to scare you...;)

Kathy:> Thank you a lot for the link! I found some very useful news in it. Thank you again, you was of great help for me.

Winterwolf:> <<Did I hear party at Shadowrider's place? :D If only you lived a little bit closer>> You heard well...;) and, BTW, I also would like you and the others to live a bit closer...but this world is getting littler and littler, so I don't despair.
Thank you a lot for your description of The Tunnel...you must have a sixth sense, because of it is *exactly* the kind of place I needed to settle some scenes of my story. Not only the building, but the surroundings, the atmosphere...it is *perfect*. Thank you again. BTW, I know what is the ecstasy...you can find it in Italian discos as well. Good thing, the globalization, isn't it? I never tried ecstasy, actually I never tried any drug (I almost don't drink alcohol too, for that matters), but I heard its effects described, and I had also chances to see them directly.
To another thing: I got your email. Thank you a lot. The idea of an action figure for Sata is fantastic to me. I promise I'll send you a reply with my opinion about it as I finish here.

Niamhgold:> Got your email! Thank you, I'll reply soon!

Gside:> <<<<It is not just luck>>: I think I'll just leave that one alone. >> Sorry, I didn't want to seem arrogant...I said that in jest.
Oh, and thank you for the linguistic infos. You mentioned once you like to be a source of infos, but thank you the same.

Emambu:> Thank you for welcoming me back. I am also glad to know you visited and liked you land of origin - and my country. Yes, Milano is a good place, for many aspects...and if you know where to search, you can have a lot of fun in it. My preferred city in Italy, anyway, is Parma...it is not a city, but a work of art. I hope you'll come and visit Italy in the future, in this case, gimme a call! :)

Enough for now, Bye!

Oh my goodness, I'm going to turn green with envy if I'm not careful. It's so awesome that there are people I know just online who'll be arriving in Orlando very soon. I can't go, but can I buy a souvenir or something anyway? Sorry if this question has already been answered.

Kyryn> Thanks for the update! I'm very much looking forward to the next cycle of the main series. I don't care what people say, sometimes any news is better no news. :-)

SJ> Yay, another person in the United States who's heard of Travis! I like them not only because they sound great but also because they have range -- "The Man Who" is beautifully melancholic and introspective, but in their first album "Good Feeling" they show they can party/rock! OK, I'll stop raving now.

Summer classes: So far I'm doing all right. *crosses her fingers for good luck and grins* Thanks for wishing me luck on my finals.

CR pics: Have they been decided yet? I'm sorry I'm so out of it around here.

Niamhgold: Thank ye. :) Odd thing; nobody's given either of my two latest stories a rating yet... :| Oh, well. No matter; it is primarily for my own entertainment and practice I write them, and I'd feel... I dunno... a bit sticky, I guess, if I were to rate my own fics... :|

Winterwolf: Thank you, I've already checked out diabloii.net for info on the cube. I found it informative. :)

Oh, well, so much for responding now... well, see ya tomorrow, I guess. (With luck, my newly-filled tooth will be less discomforting by then, too...)

**Winterwolf enters the CR**

I'm packing up all my stuff to take with me and checking to make sure I don't forget anything. With the all the recent summer activities of myself, friends and coworkers I'm planning to get some suntan lotion to avoid any more sunburns! I better go get some lotion soon now (after the post) before I forget. I'm in packing mode so this will probably be a quickie post.

Niamhgold> Sounds like your life is really hectic at the moment. I sent you an email reply along with a special picture. :) I know you'll manage to sort everything out soon and then we'll all be able to enjoy your company regularly here! ^_^

Gside> <shrines> Heh. In Diablo II there is only one bad shrine. The fire shrine. All it does is some damage though so it isn't a big deal. <quest progress> I'm ready to move on to Act 4. I need to finish Mephisto off then I move on. I just want to have my own game for that so I can be greedy with the goodies that I get after I smash the soulstone. Although I have to say joining newbie games is great cause all the monsters drop better stuff and are worth more experience. The only down side is the monsters are that many times stronger. Good thing I have a powered up inferno, static field, blaze and firewall. Meteor is great but I'm only level 24 so it is only at skill level 1. So is your online character on Nightmare now or is that your single player character?

Shadowrider> <FBI and police> I think Kathy has the FBI down pat. Police officers typically go through several months of training. I want to say 6 months but I'm not positive about that. Then after the training they are on probation and will be in a group lead by a seasoned officer. This info was from a friend of mine that is in the NYPD. I went to his police academy graduation. <club in NYC> You could go with Webster Hall or how about The Tunnel. Description of The Tunnel - It has three floors. There are seven dance floor each one offers a different music option. There will be a House area, a Reggie Area, a Techno Area, a Pop/House area, and some other stuff. The bathroom there is coed. Guys and girls use the same bathroom. It is supervised (not very well though). There are bars scattered throughout the place. There is a large stage next to the largest dance floor. There are a few cages where people can go in and lure other people over. There are plenty of drugs readily available. The most common is ecstasy. That one dehydrates you and it enhances tactile sensation. All psychical contact and pleasure is heightened. Now if you are looking for an actual disco this doesn't fit the bill. I thought you might just be looking for a club description, but if you're looking for a disco I haven't been to one in NYC. :( As for the area The Tunnel is in, it is in an area dominated by warehouses. Outside there are people that hand out flyers for other parties/clubs. There are people that will be pucking in the street. People that are dehydrated, hot, doped up or hammered just hanging outside the place. Police are commonly in or near the area. This is between the mid to lower west side of Manhattan. Hope this helps.

Cyborg> I hope you have a great time with you uncle visiting!

SOROW> Happy to hear that the novel is good reading. :)

Warpmind> <Wirt's leg> I see Gside beat me to the punch here. You could also use the leg as a club if you want to and you can imbue the leg. I personally think using your imbue on the leg is a waste but if you want to you can do it. How's the necro going? With your skills don't overlook the curses and the bone stuff in poison and bone. <cube recipies> I refer you to http://www.diabloii.net/items/horadric_cube.shtml It is probably a bit of a spoiler so consider yourself warned. ;)

DPH> Sounds good to me. Go with the Speed Stars. :)

Sarge Abernathy> Welcome back!

Niamhgold> I got it! Thanks! I really want to reply now but I'm already running around like a loony! ^_^

I better get back to packing! See you later.

****Kyryn walks in***

Sarge> Hiyas! I remember you. Check your email for some Season 3 info, but I'm also going to post a bit here.

Season 3> Pendragon will be premiering in about 2 weeks. We're still finalizing some of the stories and editing a few others so I can't quite give an exact date yet.

We're working writing the stories for the main cycle right now. Bear in mind that most of the storylines have just been released to the writers. It takes a couple of weeks to write stories in some cases, depending on a writer's RL schedule (no sacrificing GPAs for fanfic), and then a couple of more weeks for editing. Right now I'll tentatively say the end of September into October for a main cycle date, but please do not hold me to that! We all know how RL, computer problems (glares at DC), and other things (glares at Sli Sludge) can interfere with things. We'd like to try to bring you all something that has not been thrown together at the last minute just to put something out there and meet a deadline. Please be patient with us.

Thanks,

Kyryn, TGS Head of Edits

Anyway after that small little problem which led me into a somewhat depressiom, (and still will be because some things...haven't been resolved...), I had tried to return to my fan-fiction. I love to write. And I love to draw (no matter how much I scream at the fact tht Brooklyn's nose is impossible to draw) and I LOVE to watch shows.

Likewise I had made fan-fcition for a numebr of shows. Including Gargoyles. (One of my personal favs). Unfortunetly I never caught the will and the fire for Gargoyle writing.

Nor did I for my other favs such as Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, Mortal Kombat, Pokemon (shoot me for that one), or tank Girl.

The only fan-fics that I really got into was beast Wars. In fact I have already three fan-fics compelted (I know it's not many...but their long! And I spend WAY to much time editing them!). So naturally I went over to Beast Wars sites.......sniff....I'll admit it....I ditched ya!...oh the shame! The shame of it all!

yeah anyway.....

I'm not really gonna be shoin' my head up here much. =(....my garg series which was a good idea is gone. I don't think I have any need to start it up again, unless I get a REAL good idea for a perhaps small series.

I still do art though. And I feel a LOT more confident about my way is perspective and human form. REAL good. If I ever get the chane to buy the scanner (after I pay my dad that 300$ phone bill I made when I used the interent on a distant phone line) I will definatly draw some garg art.

Anyway. My questions.

1. Is there, and when will there be a Season 3 to the TGS Gargoyles Series?

2. Is dylan blacquiere still writing...(I'm a big fan)

3. Does ANYONE remember me? besides the Green Baron...=)....he stayed in contact with me a couple times....sayin' "hi sarge long time no see" every once in awhile.

Well anyway It's late and my dad doesn't know I am on....BYE!

Cyborg> <<who voices [Owen]? Brent Spiner.>>: Actually, Spiner only did Puck. It was the multitalented Jeff Bennett who voiced Owen (and half the cast)
<<That's the thierd different thing I have done to make the tab work, and the [bleep] room still won't post them!>>: I'm pretty sure Gore wrote it so extra spaces get deleted. I really should look over the code to be sure.

Warpmind> Read the seventh seal. Not bad, though there really should be some evidence or effect of such a grand occurrance.

DPH> <<he owes me $1000 because he did not win both games>>: Watch your phrasing there. You do not want to say that he owe you because he didn't win twice, you want to say that he owes you because he lost twice. He lost twice and he won twice (with liberal definitions of twice and he), therefore only mention losing (especially in the contracts).

With the lack of people with net access this close to the Gathering, my posts seem to be getting shorter. Let me rectify this by complaining about my conductor. Since when has a downbeat curved up? It's down in out up, then he might not have to write out four pages of rhythms to bore us to death. Though it was amusing when he started dancing because he thought we could take it (doing a bunch of big band medlys).

Safe trip to everyone going to the Gathering!

Jannie:
I'm glad you're doing better. I know you must be terribly disappointed about not going to Orlando and nothing anyone can say will change that, but you'll be welcome here among the rest of us not-going-to-the-Gathering type people. And you'd better get some rest! :)

Speaking of rest, if I yawn any wider, my jaw is going to split (not to mention that I'm getting increasingly incoherent) so good night (morning?) to everyone.

Daniel Johnson has been gone NOT me. Maybe I need to restart the thread about our differences AGAIN. I RP, he does not presently. I like Othello and I play very well.

**TEMPORAL PARADOX Question**
Imagine the following scenario. I make a wager with a very good othello that he will not win a game against an unknown HUMAN opponent. We agree to bet with the amount of $500. He plays on a special computer and loses the game. He signs a statement verfying the transcript of the game. I keep a copy of the transcript and he keeps a copy. He asks for a rematch against the same opponent with the statement he owes me double if he does not win and if he wins he owes me nothing. Smiling, I agree. He plays on the special computer and wins the game. Before I agree to cancel his debt, I ask him to verify the transcript of the game he played. He verifies it. I show him the transcript of the first game and ask him to compare the two transcripts. They are the same transcripts, except in one game, he went first and the other he went second. I tell him that he played against himself and he owes me $1000 because he did not win both games. Am I right to collect $1000? Is there any way the guy could have cancelled his debt the second time?
**END TEMPORAL PARADOX Question**

This room is full of insanity. I thought I was doing my part by adding more insanity to the room by typing "2+2>5". 2+4<3 Now to this problem, one only needs to return my sanity to me, (assuming of course that I had sanity before I entered the room). 2+2<>2*2

Winterwolf: I remembered you telling me you were going to be gone and I checked the posts to verify the dates I expected you to be gone. Right now, I have enough to deal with regarding Speed Stars to keep me busy for at least a week. Unless you want some plot point advanced during your absence, I plan on sticking to the Speed Stars.

No way in heck am I going to miss religious services on Sunday for voluntary. I am going to admit to being a SB religious wise. It is upto the reader to figure out what I mean.

**BFTS RP continues**
*continuing right where the last post left off*
Everybody was finally assembled and sat down.

Paula Smith said "We will start with results of the last encounter and work our way towards recommendations."

Alex Freedman added, "We will be using Power Point for this presentation."

Elaine Wiseman continued, "Obviously, we lost the battle. We will start by listing what equipment was damaged."

The presentation started. Henry Rogers continued while holding a cordless remote mouse for the computer.

He clicked a button and suddenly a page showed up with a big header: "Summary of Battle Damage."

He clicked a button and the words: "Weapons lost" appeared on the screen.

He talked, "We lost sonic cannons and flame throwers in the last battle. The sonic cannons proved quite effective at first. The flame throwers were also very effecive."

He moved the point, clicked the remote, and suddenly a video clip showed up on the screen.
**END BFTS RP for now**
I am paying homage to a teacher who used PowerPoint Presentations too much in class right now in the RP.

Finally, SJ has come back to the CR!! No time for an RP, got too much else to talk about today....

First off, I'd like to congratulate Jannie. I'm glad that you are making a fairly quick recovery after your surgery. I can definitely sympathize with what you are going through. My family has a very long history of heart problems, ranging from heart attacks to angina. Both grandfathers have died of heartattacks, my mother has a defective heart valve that has put her in the hospital on three separate occasions, and my sister has such a weak heart she may have to have a pacemaker implanted before she gets much older (and she's a young woman). So I know what kind of struggles you are going through. For what it is worth, I have been praying for you, that the surgery would go well (and it did, obviously) and that you would recover quickly.
I know that you are upset and depressed, that you have to go through so much pain during recovery and also missing out on going to the Gathering and seeing your friends....but remember--we all love you, and your friends love you. That's not going to change. And, though I can't speak for you close friends, like Denis, Jessie, or Fred, I think I can say that most of us would rather you get the kind of medical attention that you need. Even though many of us would love to meet you in person, I don't think I'm talking out of turn when I say that you health is our greatest concern. If I was actually going to the Gathering, while I would love to meet you, I'd rather wait a year until the next Gathering to see you than for you to become gravely ill with your heart.

I'm not going to the Gathering, but I'd like to make a personal request to anyone who is--if at all possible, could you do something special for Jannie? You know, something like make a videotape of everything for her? Something like that? That'd be a fair thing to do, I would think.

Kit: Thanks for the praise for my little Bush-Dick joke. I did make that up myself, but I don't count myself as some sort of comedic genius for it. I mean, with a ticket like "Bush and Dick", anyone with the sense of humor of a 3rd-grade boy (which I seem to have ;) could have made a similar remark. I've heard jokes about the same thing on the radio, etc.
You know, though, I WOULD love to do political commentary. Some of my favorite stuff is on the Comedy Central network. They always do a great political show every election where, essentially, they cover the campaigns and the conventions and just goof on everyone. I'd love that job. :) Hey, it doesn't take a professional to do that, any moron would do. Which is why I would be perfect! ;) Especially now. Now the conventions are starting, the *most* boring part of an already boring presidential race.....

Blue Caeru: I've actually just gotten into the band Travis. I love their song "Why Does It Always Rain on Me?" Kinda melancholy, but I like that.

Katara: Unfortunately, I was NOT at the Comic-Con. I wish that I was! I'm a huge fan-boy, and to go to the Comic-Con would be a highlight of my life (which maybe tells you something about how pathetic I am ;). But hey, if I ever do make it to something like that and you're there, I'll try and seek you out. ;) I hope you had a good time there, though.

Speaking of comics, Robby, which ones over at Antarctic did you work on again? I'm looking for specific issues here. I got my October Previews last week, and I got to place the order soon (as my regular comic book store doesn't usually get many AP titles). Are they going to be released any time soon?

And now, a HUUUUUGE dose of Entertainment News!!!!
******

For all of you Buffy fans, rejoice! The next season of Buffy will feature more bubble-gum pop sweetness. It's being rumored now that Britney "I squeak when I walk" Spears will guest star this upcoming season. No word on whether she'll play herself or another character.
Somewhere, Jackal is smiling. And touching himself inappropriately. ;)

Yall Goin' Make Me Lose My Mind:: Rapper DMX has signed on to make MULTIPLE movies based upon the Crow. I love the Crow. Branden Lee is one of my favorites. Well, I don't know how they go from Lee to DMX, but they've done it. DMX will star in the fourth Crow movie, tentatively titled "The Crow: Lazarus". He'll play a rapper who gets gunned down and comes back for revenge as a Crow. His contract, however, has options for multiple movies...
The strange thing, however, is that the third Crow movie, starring Kirsten Dunst, Fred Ward, and Eric Mabius, has been finished for months now, and it's still being held for release....

If you're a fan of Marvel Comics, there's some cool news for you. Artisan, the same company that bought the rights to and brought us the Blair Witch Project (among other things), will be producing a Thor tv show. Hopefully they'll give it some money, cause I don't want this comic-to-small-screen adaption to end up looking like that show Nightman. Anybody remember that show? Dear God, that show needed production values. Among other things, like a plot and talented actors.

And some BIG Spider-Man news!!!
In case you haven't heard, Spider-Man has been cast! Actor Tobey Maguire has been cast as Peter Parker / Spider-Man. I don't know how happy I am with this pick. Tobey is a very good actor, and I think he's perfect for playing a nerdy Peter Parker. But I don't know how much I accept him as an ass-kicking superhero. Allegedly, he's "buffed up" recently. I hope so, because I've seen him in flicks like "Pleasantville", and it looks like he has the body of a young girl.
Also, it's been rumored that William H. Macy may be offered the role of J. Jonah Jameson....personally, I'd love R. Lee Ermey to get the part. Not only does he look the part, but he's got the ball-busting attitude to go with it. (In case you don't know who Ermey is, he was the tough-as-nails, potty-mouthed drill seargeant in "Full Metal Jacket"). Also.....in the biggest rumor of them all....Nicolas Cage is reportedly considering the role of the Green Goblin!

There's also been some rumors as to the content of the movie. Here's some SPOILERS for what MIGHT appear in the film (it's still going through rewrites):
*Instead of a radioactive spider giving Peter his powers, it's the bite of a genetically altered spider
*Spidey does have "organic" web-shooters in his wrists (DUMB idea), but he constructs some devices that let him manually shoot the webbing by applying pressure to his wrists (Cool idea)
*The Green Goblin and Dr. Octopus' origins are linked. Norman Osborn runs OsCorp, which is making a weapon for the government (the goblin glider). Otto Octavius is a scientist who works for him who is perfecting the weapon....and he's also made a bunch of "human enhancement" drugs which, while making someone stronger and faster makes them dangerously psychotic. Well, Otto wears an octopus like metal corset with robotic tentacles to help him work. One day, he and Osborn get into an argument over the work Otto's doing, Otto goes a little postal, there's an explosion, and before you know it Otto's welded to his octopus arms and Osborn gets doused with the human enhancement drugs, which of course make him go a little loopy (thus creating the Green Goblin personality).
*Instead of a villain team-up, Dr. Octopus actually spends most of his time trying to get revenge on the Goblin, but Spidey keeps getting in his way.
*There's reportedly a cool fight between the Green Goblin and Spidey on the rooftops of New York during the Macy's Day parade.

Quick post, more comments later tonight.

Warpmind> Wirt's leg: There is no need to carry it around with you (you can always get another one from Tristram), though it can be used for something very fun. **SPOILER** You need it to get to the secret cow level. After you kill Diablo, transmute the leg and a tome of town protal while in the rogue encampment. You will see a red portal open to the cow level. Be careful, it is basically packed full of cows. I personally suggest going through some of the next difficulty level before taking a serious crak at it (though I did not wisely distribute my skill points). **/SPOILER**

Garg Casting...{nearly typed 'garg casing'}...
i'd have to say that Sata could be played by {shoot, forgot her name}...she played the lawyer in RED CORNER, and a friendly demon on ANGEL. {the one with the red-glowing spine}.

Emabu(sp): got it, and replied.

Warpmind: <<grill>> can i have a hot bronx..er, dog?

Christine: you know what i always used to do anytime somebody bugged me?: i would put them in one of my short stories, and let the horrific things happen to them rather than to the main characters. {if you'd like, i'll let you borrow a giant marsupial with extensile&prehensile fangs}.

*Emambu strolls in, narrowly avoiding the rush as several members run out, take flight, and head for Orlando*

Hey Gang, just thought I'd drop in real quick before I head out to the Republican Convention tomorrow and then I'm off to Orlando for the weekend. No, I'm not going down for G2K unfortunately. I'll be spending the time down there with my cousin because I haven't seen him in a while (not that that's a bad substitute) :).

All those attending G2K: Have a great time! Who knows, maybe I'll run into some of you while I'm down there. I gave Winterwolf a concise yet detailed desrciption of me, so he knows what to look for. :)

Niamhgold: I know this is kind of late, but welcome back! I'm glad to hear you had a safe trip. Good luck with your work schedule. I've been there myself and can be hectic trying to balance it out with your social life, family, and any friends that you've made here. BTW, thanks. I never had much trouble with the SAT's personally and I find myself fortuate since several of my friends were not so lucky.

Warpmind: Every time I try to connect with your site it tells me that it could not connect to members.xoom.com. Any thoughts? I don't have a problem anywhere else so I don't think it's my computer.

Doug: Thanks for your condolences on the cat (his name is Flynn in case anyone was wondering). I too hope that he doesn't suffer. Also, thanks for the e-mail. It's good to see that we were in agreement throughout much of the story. BTW, I didn't comment on MacBeth because I didnt think he had a big part. It's nice to see that he's Ariana's Watcher, but other then that, he didn't really do anything (not that that's bad). Right now, I'm trying to finish "Night of the Symbiotes" part 1, but real life is getting in the way. I hope to send you comments by the weekend (I'm taking the series with me to Orlando).

Daphne: Too bad you can't come down, and see this. I hope that this won't be a one-time only event either, but the last time a political convention rolled into Philadelphia was 55 years ago. If I get any good stories, I'll post them here.

A happy belated birthday to Mara. I hope it was special for you.

Christine: New novel?! I must find out how to order it (oh wait, maybe clicking on your name...) :)

Zath: If I find her I will definately try to get some info. out of her. :) BTW, you wouldn't happen to know her name would you? If you don't want to tell me it over a public forum then you can just e-mail me it.

Stephen: Congratulations on becoming an Uncle! I'm glad to hear that both mother and child are doing well. Hopefully, by now you've showered them in gifts. :)

Yggdrasil: Welcome back! Hopefully, we'll be hearing more form you.

Shadowrider: Welcome back! It's good to hear from you. I'm glad to hear that you friend is feeling better, and it sounds like you had a lot of fun. I have to agree about Italy being a country where there are countless things to do. I spent three weeks, which you might think to be more then enough to see everything considering the size. However, by the end there were still several cities that I wanted to visit but didn't get the chance (includin Milano. I hear it's a gorgeous place). Oh well, I plan on going back later on in the future and re-visit my roots. Maybe I'll stop by and do the things I never got to do last time. :)

Rodlox: Check your mail, and let me know if anything I said was helpful. Thanks

Jannie: Glad to hear from you again. I hope your recovery is swift and painless. There will be other Gatherings... don't despair *tries to give Jannie a reassuring smile*

Brooklyn: Good to hear from you. I'm sorry to hear that you've been sick. I hope you feel better. BTW, thanks. If I come across any more quotes like that, I'll send them your way. *Emambu makes mental note to go prepare a flu kit after he's done posting*

Kitainia: Thanks for the condolences on the cat, and don't worry if Doug got the conventions mixed up. I'd rather be at the Democratic one anyway. :) I would have placed out of the General Writing but I forgot to assemble my words into nice little paragraphs so I ended up with a 3 out 4 instead of a 4 out of 4 which you need to place out of General Writing. Oh well *shrugs*

Abbadon: Patience is a virtue. The new episodes are coming, or at least that's what I've been told. :)

Stephen: I'll get to your story as soon as I possibly can, but I promised Doug comments on his NotS series, and I still owe Time Reynard a critique of his most recent story. *sigh* so much to read, and so little time. Still, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have the story.... there. Check your e-mail. :)

Gargoyles casting: I could definately see Brent Spiner as Owen and Kiefer Sutherland as Castaway. Has anyone come up with a good voice for Sata? I'm racking my brains but I can't think of anyone who could play her part.

One more thing: Has anyone heard from Wilek recently?

That's it for now. Next time I post here, I'll be in Orlando. Hopefully, I'll have some good stories form the convention to tell too. Take care,

Time for a celebration. My 23rd episode (fnord.) of my fanfic series is done and uploaded to the archive. The Seventh Seal is readily available; a conclusion has been reached. Any comments are welcome. I'll fire up the grill. ;)

Jannie: Hey, look at it this way: at least you're around to complain about it, eh? ;) Could most definitely be worse, right?

Christine: I hope you can forgive me, but this is just too good to pass up... you're not sure about Tim's stoneworking abilities? And I thought he rocked your world... ;) *Hides under the table.*

Kitania: So you percieved me as at least 35, eh? Well, I guess we deserved that, both of us, then? ;)

Guess what? One of my favorite relatives is comming to pay a visit to my Father! My Uncle John Teple is too much fun, he always stays very cool because he stresses out other people and not himself. I think that is a very good idea. The only problem with this is that I spent the entire weekend with Stephen, and unable to get in here, now I probably won't be able to come in here for the rest of the week because I will be hostessing my Uncle :( Oh well, with every good must come some bad.
Does anyone know when/where I can put up a bid for a Gathering to be held in Montreal? I need as much time as possible to reserve the required amount of space and work through the laws we have for registering this kind of thing.

Grinz>"Are you a shrink?" No, and I have used the services of them a few times too often to ever get a job as one.

Warpmind>"the joy of MacGyverisms" Actually, my boyfriend is MacGyver, I just love playing with hardware. Don't ask me what anything is supposed to do though, except not blow up of course ;)
> "the tale of four persons" I love that little story, always have. When it was my troup's turn to do the flag raising ceremony at guide camp, I would always pester the others until they let me read it (one reading is mandatory for that ceremony). Just picture Lisa and Bart from that Simpsons episode 'Can we have a pool Dad? Can we have a pool Dad?'

Coyote the Bando>"Owen: This one's difficult, really ... who's stiff enough?" Not difficult at all, who voices him? Brent Spiner. Have you seen much of his work (outside of Star Trek)? The guy is a genius and a great actor (which explains why he is mostly ignored, you don't know it's him unless you read the credits). He can do stiff (Owen), and then with a little make- up, he can do crazy fey (Puck). Two very difficult casting jobs done in one (and it fits the story too).

Jannie>"I'm such a basketcase right now... I'm very sorry for the disturbance." Don't worry about it, that's what we're here for.

Brooklyn> Missed you, glad you're back.

Au revoir (though probably not 'til next week)

Hi to everyone.
I have two quickest fanfic-realted questions, if anyone knows the answers.

1) How long is the training of an F.B.I. agent (two years? three? more?) And the training of a common policeman?

2) I need the name of a trendy disco in N.Y., some place that is always filled of people every night, and possibly a short description of it.

Thanks in advance to anyone will answer.

You know you're either bored, tired, or inspired when you're supposed to try and go to sleep, but you can't until after you've drawn furry Sonic the Hedgehog-like versions of Jessie and James from Team Rocket... I'll scan the pic in if anyone is willing to put it up on their website temporarily to show to the CR...

Kitainia- Project was finished on time, turned in on time, and it looks good. I'll give a better update at another time when I myself know more.

And now, I *REALLY* should get to bed. It's like 3 oclock here and I need to be up at seven... Real replies to everything else tommarrow maybe. (I'll hold off the RP until after the Gathering however since a large chunk of the CR will be missing... SOon I'll be able to hit it full swing again, yay!)

Joe Boxer> From the looks of things, you might want to think about music. Rutgers's Mason Gross is pretty good in arts, but I'm not sure about its music program itself, though some of the people I met in marching band were inpressed by some of the faculty.

Mme. Destine/Mrs. Morgan> <<Bend It, Don't Break It: Making Improbable Occurances Logical in the 'Gargoyles' Universe>>: Do you have at least one person with a physics and/or science background on the panel?

Archwolf> <<I have to finish a chainmail shirt this week>>: One of my ex-roomies made one, but it had big honking copper rings, and he didn't do a very good job dulling the points.

Jannie> May your health be soon resotred, and may you be reunited with those you miss.

Shodowrider> <<Someone who gets on well toghther>>: In the singular, you'd probably use friend, pal, bud, or chum (depending on how outdated your slang is), but if you want to refer to a group with a singular noun gang or crew are pretty close (horde was just me copying another entry from a thesaurus).
<<It is not just luck>>: I think I'll just leave that one alone.

Winterwolf> <<I can't seem to find you online>>: I really should get online with Diablo more (or at all). My ex-roomie made me paranoid in Diablo, with the permanantly bad shrines, but now that I can only lose experience I don't have as much to worry about. How's the pk situation? Generally I try where-ing once before I go to single. By the way, I was originally referring to your progress quest-wise.
<<Depending on if I get to snag a labtop .... That doesn't sound too pathetic does it?>>: That's what I'd try to do. Then again...

Na zodorv'ya.

Hi everyone! Hope no one else had the Monday from hell that I did today. SHEESH! I'd swear that half the people I talked to today must have left their brains and/or their good moods somewhere else over the weekend. *shrugs* Oh well, people will be idiots no matter what day of the week it is. :-)

ArchWolf > *gasps for air as you hug her tightly* Glad you liked the card. I knew that you would. :) What I didn't tell you was that I also got them to sign my Issue #1 color ElfQuest. =p I finally got some of my pics back yesterday, so now I just need to get around to scanning them and putting them up somewhere. A couple of them came out really good. The expression on Richard's face is hilarious when Winny starts singing to him. LOL *Canyon looks at WarFrost and rolls his eyes at the general silliness*

Jannie > I'm glad that you are now back home and slowly on the mend. I think I can speak for everyone when I say how worried we were for you. I know it sucks about not going to Orlando, especially considering how long you've been anticipating going. At least there will still be some of us at home to "keep you company". I'm sure that something will eventually work out for you and Denis to see each other. *gives you a gentle hug, mindful of your stitches and all*

Well, guess that's pretty much it for tonight. Take care all. Safe journeys to anyone starting out early towards Florida. I can't wait to meet everyone next year in Los Angeles.

** Niamhgold stumbles in, looking confused **

Holy hills...how'd I end up neglecting this place for so long? Unfortunately, I may have to neglect it a little longer, as I try to slow down the pace of my double-job workload, while trying to spend some more time with Brian!

Winterwolf, Shadowrider: Sent you both return e-mails. They may be short, but they should reply to what you sent me! :)

Winterwolf: Don't worry, you didn't scare me off! But the e-mail should explain a little bit while I'm so scatterbrained. Thanks for keeping your fanfic offer up in the air! ** Return hugz ** If I ever finish the one I'm working on, you'll be the first to know! (I'm slowly working on my way to relaxation and enjoyment of life...it'll have to wait for mid-august, though :])

Spike: Here's hoping that some of your artwork doesn't sell...so that _I_ can buy them after the GAthering! ;D

Bye, all!

Welcome back to Janine, Shadowrider, Jannie (especially you, I'm so glad you're alright! :), Blue Caeru, and any other dear friends who have returned to us. Great to see you all back.

More very soon- probably in a day or two. Later!

Hi ya'll.

Jannie> I'm glad you're OK, and I'm sorry you won't get to see Denis. I'm not very good at words of comfort (or maybe I just have unrealistic expectations) but I carry enough weight of depression that I could share some of yours without too much trouble. If you still have my ICQ number, I'll start turning on ICQ when I log on to check my e-mail. Feel free to e-mail me if you want to rail against the slings and arrows of unjust fortune and have someone type sympathetic noises at appropriate intervals, too. We could maybe arrange a phone call if that would help.

On the bright side (Less Dark side, anyway), you and Denis will actually only be one timezone apart for the weekend of the Con. Considering the usual distance between the two of you, that should be a piece of cake.

Personal life report> Well, actually, I don't have a personal life. This is more of a personal environment report. The cat's been incredibly well behaved. I'm thinking about letting her stay out in the house unobserved in the next few days. My AC's been replaced, too. The new unit actually seems (Knock on wood) to be working.

TGS Staff thing> I'd be thrilled to help if I was invited. I'd have to finish my novel first, but after that I'd be good for maybe a full story every other month. What you TGS staffers have accomplished is nothing less than amazing, and I'd be honored to be a part of it.

OK, that's enough for now. I have to go buy groceries and a box of flea collars, so I'll talk to ya'll later.

**Winterwolf enters the CR**

Christine> You probably won't get a chance to read this but I'll be sure to check out the reading and fanfic panels. It sounds like fun and with your stories definite can't miss activities! :)

SOROW> I'll miss not being able to see you at the Gathering. I promise to take tons of pictures and post them for you to see! ^_^

Coyote the Bando> Catch you in Orlando!

Shinigami> <brother> I can relate. Having an older sibling myself I wound up with plenty of leftovers. :( I hear it gets better once you get older. **crosses fingers**

Daniel Johnson> <haven't posted in a week> It seems your in something of a rut with your CR postings of late. Is there anything you want to share with us? Hope to see you back to your verbose self soon. :)

DPH> <work stuff> A friend of mine has voluntarily decided to work 7 days a week to make more money. I told him it wouldn't work out as well as he thinks it will and now after being really tired and unhappy he got his big paycheck. It wasn't nearly as big as he thought it would be because he had a bigger percentage going to tax than he did before. I did warn him it would happen. When it is an involuntary thing forget it! Most people want to have time off! So I can't imagine your workplace to be working out for many people.

Shadowrider> <Fran> That is wonderful news that your friend is feeling better! Great to hear that the trip went well also. :) <home alone> Did I hear party at Shadowrider's place? :D If only you lived a little bit closer. Anyway, I'm sure you'll put the time to good use.

Mary Flanders> <invite> I imagine it is just some horrible oversight and that you are supposed to be invited. That's the only reason I could think of you not getting an invite! Hope it works out with you getting to go and having fun!

Fire Storm> <gathering> Don't worry about it! I really wanted to meet all my CR friends so each time I hear one of you won't be able to make it I feel a little sad. I figured you didn't wanted to feel like you were missing as much this gathering. :( <ISP> I haven't come across a good one myself. Sadly my dialup from work seems to be the best at the moment. I need to invest in a better connection soon.

Gside> <Diablo2 new saving system gives you an excuse to level build> Sure, but if you don't move on you wont get good enough experience from the critters to level build. <where are you?> I can't seem to find you online. I try /where gside at least twice each time I'm playing. That doesn't amount to much though since I haven't played for many hours. :(

Jannie> I'll keep my prayers going for you. The important thing is that you are going to be well! If only it could have worked out a little better. I'm going to miss not being able to meet you! I'm sure you'll be 100% soon and having fun at the next Gathering.

Brooklyn> <flu> So that's where you've been. Well you have been missed. Sorry I won't be able to catch you online for a while. As soon as I get back I'll be on the lookout for ya.

Shadowrider> <picturesque locations> After your descriptions of places you've been to I know I want to see it myself! I don't know when I will go but I'll be sure to make the trip one of these days!

Blue Caeru AKA Margaret> Welcome back to the CR! Good luck with your finals!

Janine> <RHPS> Congrats on the big news! So you will be regular now huh? Good deal. <boyfriend> Good to hear you have a relationship that is working out. :) <Abrupt departure> Don't worry about it. I understand these things happen. As far as email I didn't see any but let me check again after this post.

DPH> I'm going to be out of the RP for a while. I'll leave you instructions for continuing without me for the next two weeks.

Niamhgold> I hope I didn't scare you off or anything! **HUGZ** Once I get back from Florida I plan on slowly finishing all my detailed critiques of your fanfic. Also my offer still stands to be one of or your main fanfic proofreader. I can't imagine I'd ever take back that offer, but I just wanted to give you a little reminder. ^_^

Kitainia> I take it you won't be there this year. :( I'll keep you posted.

Time to relax for a little bit before I go to sleep. Depending on if I get to snag a labtop from work I might post here even while on vacation. That doesn't sound too pathetic does it? I guess I'll know for sure if someone paints a big L on my forehead. ;)

Welcome back to DPH and Janine!

Something I forgot earlier- Everyone who's going to the Gathering, enjoy yourselves and have fun! Look forward to when you get back, hope you will tell us all about it. :)

Rodlox: $ Um, let's assume that RP you just did occurs shortly before the battle with Jerec that I started in my last post just for continuity purposes, okay? Our answer to it is below. As for the bad guys you mentioned, well, we thought you were going to bring them in and we had a lot of other stuff on our minds. Still do, and probably will for a while yet. So we didn't have the opportunity to add any new opponents for us. So if you want to bring the bad guys you made up in, you still can. Just please don't expect us to do it for you, we can't right now. Though of course we can accomodate you if you bring them in. They're your characters and you know best how to introduce them, right? $

**BRIEF RP**

"Uh, no, Rodlox," Kit frowns. "We're not against all beings from Hell. It's just that we've had a lot of conflicts with demons, and therefore we're naturally very worried about them." "There are also some demons we fight on a regular basis," Lathrop adds. He counts off on his fingers. "Gothmenes, Synatia, Deavik, Mephisto, and Valerian. And their minions. We're only really against them, though if any other demons threatened us we'd be against them too." "Right," Kit nods. "Um, why do you ask, Anthony?" "Oh, no reason," Anthony frowns. "Just wondering." "Uh, okay," Kit grimaces. Doug does the same, shrugging. "We have to go find Jerec now," Lathrop says. "Can you look for him over by Hangar 18?" He gives Anthony a quick description and Anthony nods. "Will do." Then he walks off. "What was he so worried about?" Doug asks. "I have no idea," Kit shrugs. "Come on, you gotta show us where you saw that Dark Jedi." Doug nods. "Alright."

Hmm. Happy be-lated birthday, Mara. I did not catch it earlier.

**RP RELATED**
I am shifting gears to catch up with the Speed Star plotline for the next 15 days. Sorry folks, Winterwolf's next RP (if he writes one soon) will be the only RP dealing with the events at DPH's house. That means all posts will come with a description of when they occured relative to other events. I finally caught up with the archive up to this week.
**END RP RELATED**

**WORK RELATED**
*DPH considers electrocuting all of the people of 2nd shift at the plant where he works who do rework.* All 2nd shift knows how to produce is @#$%^%#$# and they do not handle their own @#$%^%#$#.
**END WORK RELATED**

**BFTS RP continues**
*the next morning after Winterwolf leaves and after the time of the last post involving the Speed Stars*
Fred Hitman says "So, the group is finally ready to make a presentation. It had better be good."

Alex says, "It will be, sir."

Everyone invited to the presentation starts heading to a big room.

The presentation starts.

**RP HERE {with as many little posts as i've had since my last RP}...** *eg*....

"Guys," Anthony asks Kit, Doug, and those nearby, "you're against all demons and beings from Hell?"

Kit blinks, seeing how Anthony looks uneasy - something he hadn't been even in the fights on- and off-station. Something was up....she just couldn't place her finger on it *just*yet*.

**end RP for now**

there, that wasn't so bad, now was it? :)

**ALERT- AN RP HAS ENTERED THE AREA. BE ADVISED :)**

"Well, they are gone now," Kovu smiles at Vincent as the screen comes on displaying the latter's office. "It doesn't matter." "Yes, it does," the caiveh leader sighs back, shaking his head. "I still think we were wrong to eject them, they really wanted to help us and now that I think about it, only our fear held us back. That and your ignorance. They only left because you drove them away." "And we were perfectly within our rights to do so," points out Tiara. "Since when have humans ever known what's best for caiveh?" "Even if they could have helped us," Kovu adds, "they surely would have wanted something in return. That's how it always is with their kind." "Not always," Vincent sighs. "And I think I would have gladly given them anything if only they could have rid us of the menace that so threatens our people with the very fumes of the product he forces us to produce." "We can't fight him, Vincent," Kovu growls. "You know that. If he got wind we were even searching for the bomb, he might detonate it, and then where would we be?" "Yes," Tiara agrees. "Best to just comply with his wishes and thus keep our lives." "Strange words," Vincent frowns, "coming from someone who's defeated so many of her enemies in the arena." "Even I can't fight nuclear weapons," Tiara replies with a sigh. "I doubt the humans would have been able to either," Kovu adds, shrugging. "They seemed confident, but humans always are. If you'll excuse me, Vincent, I'm going to go see if they're out of the city yet. The sooner they are the better, what with the Isolation Patrol up in arms down there." "Yes indeed," Vincent nods with a sigh. "Very well, you are dis-…" He pauses as a loud rumbling echoes from below and nearby. "What was that?" Tiara gasps as she looks out the window.

Outside, Dao the evil genie has just been grabbed and thrown into a building by Lloky, who is now in dragon form and has thus grown incredibly large. Caiveh are running away from her, screaming in panic, as she blows fire on Dao and burns him to a crisp. The genie roars in pain, then leaps up, grows to the same size as Lloky, and then fights back with lightning bolts and tornado barrages. "You have hurt me, dragon!" it yells. "For that you will die!" "You first!" Lloky retorts, charging in and knocking him down, toppling another building as the genie crashes into it. On the ground, Gubio and Erin have just revived Mist and Terrell and are helping them stand. "What happened?" Terrell asks, and Erin is about to tell him when he sees the dragon and genie fighting. "Never mind, I think I can guess. Is that dragon a friend of yours?" "Uh, yes," Gubio grimaces. "She's our guardian, sort of. Um, Erin, is it necessary for her to be wrecking everything to fight that genie or whatever it is?" "Certainly not," Erin shakes her head, frowning at all the panicked caiveh running past them and the rubble the genie and dragon are continuing to create. Mist meows in worried agreement, just as shouts echo from nearby followed by the sound of laser fire. "What the…" Gubio gapes, diving aside as a few shots stream past his head. "The humans are destroying the city!" someone yells, and they turn to see a large group of caiveh in gray uniforms emblazoned with a circle and the letters "UCIP" has run up to them. All are carrying laser guns, and their leader, the one speaking, is an angry-looking black-furred male with his mane in dreadlocks. "Kill them!" he shouts, and the other caivehs roar in agreement. "Great," Terrell snarls. "Just what we need." "Who are those guys?" Gubio asks. "The Underground City Isolation Patrol," Terrell answers. "A small but heavily armed militia we have down here that's dedicated to keeping out dangerous intruders. Especially human ones. Let me handle them, you guys calm down that dragon." "Alright," Erin shrugs as he walks toward the patrol with an angered expression on his face and causes them to lower their weapons and frown. Erin meanwhile turns toward Lloky and Dao, Gubio and Mist at her side. "Lloky!" she yells. "Lloky!" "Hey Lloky!!" Gubio contributes, Mist adding a loud yowl. "What?!!" Lloky calls back from where she is struggling to maintain a choke hold on the growling Dao as he slams her into buildings and cavern walls. "I'm busy saving your lives!" "Could you do that without destroying the city, panicking people, and possibly causing an earthquake?" Gubio asks. "What?!" Lloky gasps back, just as Dao grabs her and throws her off, then casts down a lightning barrage that she is only barely able to roll aside from. "You guys aren't gonna let me have any fun with this?" Erin and Gubio exchange frowns at the statement, wondering what is going to happen next as Terrell faces down the Isolation Patrol, the nearby elevator opens to let out the three caiveh leaders, the genie and dragon continue hitting each other with lightning and fire, Mist meows worriedly, and the screen goes blank.

**THINGS MAY GET EVEN WORSE NEXT TIME. FOR NOW END RP**

<Kit walks into the CR, munching on the last piece of her birthday cake> Greetings everyone. <smile> How are you all doing this fine Monday afternoon? :) Alright, I hope. Things are going okay here, Doug and I have resumed working and the jobs are going well. The repair of our car's been delayed a while (the guy told us the part it needed had come in and it would be fixed today, yet we called them this morning and they said it hadn't come in after all. On top of that, the guy we originally were dealing with had disappeared on vacation. Very strange), but we can deal with that. Just hope we get it back soon. Thanks again to everyone who wished me a happy birthday, I appreciated it very much. It feels good to have survived in the world for 21 years when one has so many friends. :) On to replies.

Zath: Sorry I forgot to ask you this last week, but what is the Yellow Sign? I'm not familiar with it.

Jannie: Glad your operation went well, I was praying. I'm sorry the recovery is being difficult, what with all the disappointments and all. Wish I could do something to help. Guess I'll just pray it will soon be over and that next year you can enjoy the Gathering. :) Hope you can somehow get over your depression soon too. Come in here and visit with us if you feel like you need it, we're always open to a friend.

Robby: You should have finished your product by now, hope it was accepted and turned out good. Please let us know soon, and thanks for keeping up the CR even with all the limited free time you've had recently.

Grinz: Don't feel bad, you're not doomed. Your life may be getting you down, but I definitely don't think you're doomed. Things can improve, and they probably will if you give them enough time. I and your other friends in here will be hoping they do soon. So cheer up, you still have people caring about and pulling for you even if others have rejected you for stupid reasons. That's what friends are for, and you have friends in here. Thanks for telling us what an odinist is too, I didn't know they still existed in the world. :) (Don't worry, what you are doesn't make me reject you. I'm not prejudiced against any religion other than Satan-worship and even people who follow that can be interesting to hang around at times.)

Warpmind: Don't worry, you're not the first one who's pictured me to be older than I am. I do talk like I'm that way sometimes, and I look it a bit too (I have a few gray hairs here and there thanks to stress). So don't worry, I'm not offended. Probably wouldn't be even if I was older than I am, I'm a great believer in the phrase "age = wisdom and experience" and think all those people who stop putting value on someone, especially themselves, just because they're getting older, are totally nuts. So it's alright. Thanks for the happy birthday. BTW, just for the record, I always thought you were at least 35. :)

Ray: Thanks for the advice. It shall be heeded. :) And welcome to the CR.

Stephen King: His books are indeed great works of art (especially Needful Things, The Stand, It, and Christine), but what he's doing with Internet publishing…hmm, I don't know about it. I'm not really sure I like his motivations and methods, especially considering what SJ pointed out. I may still indulge Mr. King, though, because I like his work so much. <shrugs> I do know I'm definitely going to wait till his new book's finished before I buy it. Hope it somehow comes out in hardcover or paperback as well as on the Net too, I like to read his books curled up on the couch and I can't do that with a computer screen the way the computer's placed in this apartment. Nor can our printer handle the amount of paper I'm sure it's gonna take to get a Stephen King book out of the Net and onto hard copy. <sighs>

SJ: Loved your bit about the Republican Presidential Candidacy. Did you come up with that yourself? If so, you should try to sell it to a newspaper or magazine. It's a lot more entertaining than some of the commentary I've seen on the campaign so far. <sighs> Even if what they say sounds more politically interesting and informative, your words were a hell of a lot more funny. :)

Stephen: Sorry about your breakup, hope that both you and Andrea have learned whatever lessons you needed to from this and are able to remain good friends. Good luck finding someone new too, if that's your desire. And good luck with your move and the new life as well. Also congrats on the niece.

Gasper: <Maybe we can go to the bars, or something> Stop by Austin, and I'll be glad to take you as long as you provide interesting company. :)

Joe: Senior year is indeed something to be frightened of, I remember anticipating mine with a mixture of happiness and dread all too well. Note the happiness, though. Remember, it is your last year of high school. Somehow, I am sure, you will get through it and triumph over all the trials in your way. Doug and I wish you good luck in that endeavor. Thanks for pointing us to your music, and the encouragement about the marriage. Don't worry, it will happen to Doug and me sooner or later. Some would say it already has in every way but legal. <grin>

Katara: <Crzy has definitely earned her nickname> So I've heard. I'll have to meet her someday and find out if it's indeed so. (Am sure it will be. :) Thanks again for sharing your experiences, and also for the happy birthday and welcome back. Good luck getting your cyst removed soon, if that's possible (hope it is).

<moment of silence for Concorde crash victims> May nothing like that ever happen again.

Emmabu: Glad your college placement went well, congratulations on placing out of so many courses (more than I did :). Sounds like you have great plans for the Republican convention (Doug apologizes for saying it was the Democrat one, politics are all the same to him). Good luck carrying them out, and please be sure and let us know how things end up developing. :) Thanks for the happy birthday, it was indeed special. Glad I was able to help you with the cat situation, and congrats on being able to handle it. I still feel very sorry for it, but since there's nothing we can do… <sighs> Hope its death is painless and it goes to a better place.

Napster Situation: I just hope this case gets settled soon, I'm sick of hearing about it. Don't know which side to favor, they both have their merits. I've never used Napster, but I know plenty of people who have and who value its service very much. Yet the artists make good points too, even if a good case for their greed can be argued, and SJ mentioned a lot of things about the situation that I agree with. <sigh> May the best side win, that's all I'm gonna say.

Niamhgold: Glad your trip went well. I too agree that Kiefer Sutherland would make a great Castaway. Thanks for the happy birthday, and welcome back!

Mary: They still haven't caught those rapists? <sighs> Well, I hope the police get a break in the case soon so we can all stop worrying. Thanks for keeping us up to date. In the meantime, please don't get too worried, everything is going to be fine. Good luck with your senior year and everything that happens in and after it. Good luck resolving the friend situation too, hope you get a reasonable explanation. If not, I'll feel sorry knowing you may have lost a friend.

Christine: Glad the Dark of the Elvenwood copies arrived safely. As you know, yesterday Doug ordered a copy. Hope it arrives soon and is as good as the rest of your work. <grin>

TGS Staff Needs: I too think a recruitment drive in here is a great idea and definitely wouldn't deplete the readership, like Taleweaver said. But then again, I don't have the time to join the TGS Staff even if it was offered, so the point is kinda moot in my case. <sighs> Good luck to the TGS Staff getting people who can afford the time and effort to work for them and do their duties well.

Shadowrider: Welcome back! Congratulations on the vacation you had, it sounds like it went really great. Thanks for telling us all about it. May you someday get the chance to do something like that again, though I hope you don't feel the need anytime soon. :) Thanks for the Happy Birthday too- don't mind it being belated, just glad it came :). Also glad you like Spike on Buffy. Don't worry, he's going to hang around for quite a while and only get more entertaining as the show goes on. <grins> Interesting perspective on the Terminator also, I've never thought about it that way. Maybe I'll have to watch the movie again, look at it in a new light.

Archwolf: Hope your blind date went well. I too always dreaded going on such outings back when I had to deal with them. You wouldn't believe some of the horror stories I could tell you. I pray you didn't have an experience like them and hope you will tell us what happened soon. Congrats on the new friends.

Shinigami: Congrats on getting rid of your evil brother. Sorry you had to lose the computer though, hope you can get a new one soon.

Brooklyn: Congrats on getting over the flu, and welcome back.

Blue Caeru: Welcome back. Been a long time. Hope you will drop in again soon. Don't worry, you're not the only one who's jealous of people going to the Gathering. <sigh>

That's all for now, I have to get going as I have an appointment this evening I gotta keep. Luck to everyone in their trials, and hope you'll wish the same to me in mine. Later!

**RESUME RP IN THE RAVENS' SAGA**

In his secret base, Thailog sets down a phone and grimaces angrily. Then he turns to Jerec, who frowns. "Is something wrong, my lord?" the Dark Jedi asks. "As I just got through telling you, I have finished the first stage of my plan to turn Doug Elder over to our side. Tomorrow I will go back to him and see how the seeds I've planted are growing. Unless there's something wrong now…?" "There is something very wrong," Thailog growls back, his eyes flaring. "I have just been informed by a spy I've placed near the Ravens that your plan is on the verge of failure, if it hasn't failed already. Apparently Doug Elder's will and faith in his friends was strong enough to survive even his memory loss." Jerec's eyes widen. "It was? Impossible!" "Not really," Kharsus puts in from further down the table. "My own scrying has confirmed our spy's assessment. Putting him near the Ravens was a stroke of genius, wasn't it, Lord Thailog?" Thailog nods. "It is good that the incompetence of General Zale's men gave us the opportunity. Edison also did good work in keeping the subject loyal to us and able to report his findings." "Of course I did," the mad scientist laughs. Thailog then turns back to Jerec. "If you don't believe me, go and see for yourself. You will find that Doug Elder is still on the Ravens' side, and that there is little chance he will ever be on ours." "That may be untrue," Jerec protests. "If you just give me a little more time with him…" "You've had time!" Tyl shouts. "You could have killed the guy easily, and instead you waste effort trying to make him one of us. He's never gonna be one of us!" "Once unfit, always unfit," Donna Gardner agrees. "It's always better to destroy your enemies than try to bargain with them. You should know that, Jerec." "Fortunately," Thailog says, "the problem can still be remedied. Jerec, I wish for you to go back to Area 51, right now. Once there, you will find Doug Elder and discover what he thinks of what you told him earlier. If he's on our side, bring him back here. If not, you are to kill him. Since his memory loss should have made him lose many skills he once had, that should not be too difficult for you." Jerec frowns. "But we could profit so much if…" "Doug Elder has done us enough damage," Thailog interrupts. "Your attempt to turn him has failed, and I do not see any value in letting you make another. I didn't want him on our side anyway. Go and terminate him, now!" "Yes sir," Jerec nods, sighing. Then, in a flash of force energies, he disappears.

Meanwhile, at Area 51, Doug, Kit, and Lathrop are looking through the main barracks restroom for any sign of Jerec and are not finding one. "He was here, though?" Lathrop asks. Doug nods. "This is where I met the guy." "I can't believe you didn't blast him as soon as you saw him," Kit shakes her head. "That guy is our enemy, Doug! And not just ours, either! He's a Dark Jedi, those guys are seriously bad news!" "I didn't know all that, okay?" Doug sighs. "I'm sorry. What he said kinda made sense, I had to check it out." "Doug, it wasn't true!" Kit shoots back. "Look, I'm sorry, I should have warned you. If I had known he was going to try something like this, if I had known you were vulnerable…I should have made you stay near me, if I had been with you when Jerec was here…" "What?" Doug interrupts. "You would have blown him away before we could have even found out what he wanted? Kit, we shouldn't just go around killing people." "I know that," Kit snaps, "and we don't just go around killing people. Guys like Jerec, though, they're…look, Doug, I'm just trying to protect you. I want to help you." "Do you?" he frowns. "Do you really?" "Of course she does, Doug," Lathrop says. "We all want to help you, and we're doing our best. Kitainia may be overreacting a little to the situation, but that's only because she loves you dearly, and therefore is very concerned." "What?" Kit protests. "I am not…" Then she stops as Lathrop raises his eyebrows and grimaces. "Alright, maybe I am overreacting. I'm sorry. Doug…" "No," he cuts her off. "Say no more. I understand. I just…" He sighs. "I just don't know if I…" Lathrop puts his hand on Doug's shoulder and looks at him. "Look, Doug, if you don't think you can trust her, and I can see why you might be having doubts, trust me. I've known you thirteen years, since you were a child. You've always been smart, honorable, dependable, and wise. Thailog and those on his side may be equally intelligent and dependable, and have some wisdom, but they are not people of honor. Despite what you may think, we are. You can trust me on that. Please do." Doug frowns, looking confused. "Doug, for the love of God," Kit says, walking up to him and turning his face towards her. "Look at me. You're just confused now, alright. You've lost your memory, and once it comes back you will remember we're on your side. We're a team, and you're a part of it. I'm sorry if I haven't made you feel welcome, I haven't meant to. It's just…Maybe I took for granted what we had once, what we meant to each other. I thought you'd always be on our side no matter what, committed to our cause and helping us all to do what we have to do and save the world from Thailog, the demons, and whoever else threatens it. And now that you're not that way, it's…it's driving me bonkers. That's why I'm overreacting. I love you, and I don't want to see you leave us. It'd be even worse to see you join Thailog's side." Lathrop nods in agreement. "We all feel the same way. She just feels it the most." Doug stares at them for a long moment as they stare back. Then he nods, smiles, and sweeps Kit up in a big hug. "You have nothing to worry about," he assures her. "I've thought it through, and you guys make the most sense to me. It's not just that, either. I really feel I'm supposed to be with you, fighting on your side." He looks at Lathrop, then back at Kit, who is smiling. "So I will be on your side, now and forever." Kit sighs in relief, kissing him on the mouth. Lathrop nods happily as well, patting Doug on the back as he is released. "Good," he smiles. "Very good." "Not so good," a voice intervenes before Kit can add a response of her own, and the trio turn to see Jerec standing in the doorway looking angry. "That's him," Doug gasps. "That's…that's Jerec." Kit nods. "We know." "So you're on their side, are you?" Jerec shakes his head at Doug. "You've decided to reject who you were." "No," Doug replies, grimacing. "No indeed," Lathrop adds. "He's only rejecting who you think he should be." Jerec looks at Doug, who nods in agreement, his features looking grim. Jerec shakes his head and sighs. "In that case, I must follow my master's orders." He raises his hand and begins motioning with it. "No!" Kit gasps, as Doug suddenly gulps and falls over with his own hands clutching at his throat.

Greetings, CR citizens! Ooh, it's been much too long since I've dropped by. I just want to say that the people who are going to the Gathering are so lucky. I live in the same fricking state and can't make it because of summer school finals. :-P Hey, I've got a phone card that I'd forgotten about and need to use the minutes up before they expire ... anybody wanna give me their hotel room phone number so they can give me quick recap of the interesting stuff I'm missing out on? *laughs a bit* That sounds so desperate, but I was only half-serious. Ah hell, I don't even know if the damned card is still valid. Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful time in the Sunshine State! :-D

X-Men movie: OK, this is old news, but I only finally saw it this past weekend. It was actually better than I thought it would be; yep, I was decently impressed enough to be eagerly awaiting the sequel.

TimeDancer: More old news, but I'm just gonna say I liked the finale with it ending more upbeat than last season. Brooklyn's a bit worse for the wear, but it showed the perils of TimeDancing well and the toll it can take.

Some music news: I highly recommend the Scottish band Travis. Their album "The Man Who" is a great collection of melancholic rock. I love them. :-)

We're leaving in the wee small hours tomorrow morning, so this will probably be my last chance to post before we go. Will see some of you in a few days, the rest when we get back -- and yeah, I have promised and am planning to write yet another of my way-too-big essays ; )

Rodlox > I doubt it; he's a Mason with a capital M, and I don't know how far I'd trust his stoneworking abilities ; )

quick question...one that may/maynot get people thinking....

with all the fuss about gargoyles showing up in NYC/Manhattan {on the show}, might there be an upsurge in the # of people buying tinted-glass windows, and lotsa/big bug-zappers?

just wondering.

A few replies.

Rodlox:> I know and like "Man in Black" the movie (it is the one with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, isn't it? I'm not confusing it with another one?). For sure I'm very interested in proof reading your fic, if you like.

Gside:> <<Your gang? Your crew? Your clique? Your horde? >> Hmmm...I'm not sure this is the exact meaning...on the dictionary, for "affiatato", I found: "Someone who gets on well toghther"...and nothing more. Is there any equivalent form?
<<Why can't all engineers be so lucky? >> It is not just luck...;)

Katara:> Yes, good memories are for that...they remind us that things are not always bad, even when it seems so to us. :)

Archwolf:> Well, thank you for welcoming me back, friend. And Fran thanks you as well for your words.

Jannie:> <hugs> I'm very glad and reliefed to see you here again so soon, but I'm sorry that you now feel so depressed. I think I understand what you are feeling now. It is not only the physical suffering...it is sad when you plan something you care a lot and then an unsensitive destiny breaks everything. More than sad...it is irritating, and you feel a rage that you can't relief. I know it, quite well. There's not much I can do to make you feel better, I fear...but, think to it: at least you have a lot of friends here. As far as I'm caoncerned, I'm very happy to see you here again, and that's enough for me. Please, believe me as I say that I'm with you. And, if you need someone to talk at three a.m....well, feel free to email me as you like, I promise I'll read and answer everything soon, and for sure you'll not disturb me.

Kyrin:> Yes, it was a beautiful vacation...but you are too good to me: my unadequate words can't replace the beauty I've seen...and even photos can't: you shold visit it, and please believe me as I say I'm not speaking this way only because of it is my country. Thank you for you kind words anyway. :)

That's all.

Ciao!

Stephen> Congrats on being an Uncle!

Shadowrider> That sounds like you had a wonderful vacation. Your descriptions bring a sense of the trip alive.

Jannie> {{{{hugs}}}} Remember something: There will be future chances to meet with Denis because you had this surgery. And, because you had this done now, you are still here to post and talk with and love your friends and family. I understand the frustration, but I would much rather see you posting around the net years from now, than gone because you didn't have the surgery.

Happy B-day to anyone who had one that I missed!

Best wishes to all those going to G2K! I'm sorry that I couldn't make it this year, but I'm going to try to make it next year for LA. I've got family and friends in LA, so that becomes a much more feasible trip.

Joe> I know that your senior year can be frightening because it represents the ending of a cycle in your lifetime and a time to begin preparing for a new one. Just take it with the humor and flow that it is intended. If you have enough basic credits & have room in your schedule to take extras, take some courses that you find interesting and see if it's something you'd like to consider persuing in college or as a career. Most of all, keep your grade average as high as possible, pass your exams, and have fun :) Don't worry about a major yet - most people don't have the slightest idea of what they want to do until they've reached their junior year of college. The first year is full of basic courses anyway ;)

Jenna> *giant and gentle hug* thank you, sweetie for visiting me in the hospital. It was such a joy meeting you and Mike =) You brightened my day!

*deep sigh* Well, I was suppose to be on an airplane right now on my way to Orlando. This is a very depressing day/week for me. Denis will be in Orlando this evening and I can't be there to greet him. I can't make the trip that I've been planning on for over a year. I can't use the tickets or car rental that are paid for, the hotel room that's paid for, the costume that's paid for.... crappers, I can't use anything that has been purchased for this trip.

As you can tell, the doctors failed to mention the depression and crying spells that would immediately follow bypass surgery. I am so damned disappointed and depressed over not being able to attend G2K - for various reasons, that I'm miserable and cry all the time.
I do this "miraculous" recovery that everyone else proclaims and for what?.... to come home to constant reminders that I'm not going to in Orlando? constant pain everytime I move or breath? I should have stayed in the hospital and insisted on being kept sedated. At least I had someone to talk to when I walked the hallways at 3 a.m. each day.
ohgaw, I'm such a basketcase right now... I'm very sorry for the disturbance.

Only 4 days left until The Gathering!

Mary > I think you're just going to have to be patient. Sadly, crimes like that happen all the time. But the police rarely solve them in half a day like they always seem to on TV. Sometimes it can take months or years to crack a case, especially if there's no good eyewitness descriptions and the only evidence they have to work from is from forensics.

Well, after today's responses are done, I have a little story to share with you. But first... responses.

Winterwolf: Heh, the way I've been tweaking my 486 so far has been mostly a variety of plain blunt violence and carefully chosen martial arts techniques. ;)

Mara: Being an older brother myself, I can't say I approve of your insinuations... but, if you say "siblings" instead of "older brothers", I can assure you... you have my total sympathy. (Let me guess, you're the one who uses it most and best, anyway, right?)

Gside: True, true... I was at level 16 before I got to act II... ]:) And all my little minions are better, faster, stronger... ];)

And now for the story...
This is the tale of four persons named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important task to be done, and Everybody was sure Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody became angry over this, since it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody understood Everybody wouldn't do it.
Eventually, Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Remind you of your own lives, gang? :) Until next time.

Damn fool has no right to come over here and make noises about me not doing laundry! Sometimes I just don't have enough hours in a day to get done all the things that need to get done. DAMNIT!! Granted I don't mind that he did it. Saves me from doing it. But royally ticks me off when he starts telling the kids that they need to do it more often. **growls louder and pulls out a portable missle launcher. Warpmind> <<my mother keeps interrupting me, so I never seem able to finish the quest I embark on>>: One of the disadvantages of the new saving system, as opposed to Diablo I. But still, it gives you an excuse to level build.

Mara> Computer: Well, you could always switch motherboards on him. He probably won't fin out until it's too late if you do it at the right time. Plus, you could set up a temporary master/slave config with the two hard drives to switch files.

Daniel Johnson> Probably the best way to feel the impact of broadband is to fire up Napster and pull down ten files off networks all at thirty k/s. Such a joy.

Shadowrider> <<In Italian I'd say "Affiatati"...). My team?>>: Your gang? Your crew? Your clique? Your horde?
<<Alessia (none else can sit on the backseat of my bike...;)>>: Why can't all engineers be so lucky?

Daniel Johnson> <<if you get DSL you'll never be able to go back to dialup again>>: I refer you to a quote by an associate of mine: "For the record: As of this year, I'm a spoiled little ethernet !@$#%." (last word censored by me)
<<being able to surf at DSL speeds from anywhere in the house on my iBook>>: Now that souds like fun.

I love acclerandos and crescendos. I was very disappointed two seasons when the RU marching band only played a piece with an amazing accel section once. Therefore, the mp3 is one that seems to be constantly building. Plus, it doesn't hurt to be done by an amazing group. Actually, I have a couple of email addresses: one on AOL, which is my very first email address BTW, and one thoughtfully provided by Apple for all its customers. Maybe I should use that one instead since it won't change. OK, I guess I'll use that one now. Confused yet? :)

Oh, and if you get DSL you'll never be able to go back to dialup again. The difference is simply astounding, and I've only had it going for a couple of hours. I have had one complication so far: I have a wireless LAN set up here (Apple's AirPort) and it doesn't directly support PPPoE which Bell Atlantic (and many other DSL providers) requires. So I just ordered an ethernet-to-ethernet router with built-in PPPoE support. This also has the advantage of not needing PPPoE client software running on my computer. I look forward to being able to surf at DSL speeds from anywhere in the house on my iBook. :)

Sorry, babbling again.

Wow! I haven't had a real post in over a week!

Well, it is with much bank account searching that LM and I decided not to go to the Gathering. I know many people are going there for the first (and possibly only) time, and I wanted to see you all, but we need the money for other things. But we WILL make it to LA! And Detroit for G2002!

BUT LM and I would like to announce a un-offical event for G2001: A Costume party/contest for those of you unable to attend G2001:LA!
Thats right! Show your support! Even if you can't attend the gathering, make a costume, snap a few pictures and e-mail or mail them to us and we will post them on a big poster to display when we go to LA next year.
Details? We just thought of this recently! We haven't had time to think of details!

CrzyDemona: <I can think of ONE really good thing you will be missing at G2K.... ME!!! dang you!>
Well, since the late night chat, you were one of the reasons we decided to try to come this year!

Winterwolf: <I'm really starting to look forward to my first Gathering>
Thats good! My first two gatherings were REALLY fun!
<Don't kill the mood Fire Storm!>
Eeek! Sorry! Don't get me wrong, I LOVED going to the gathering and it was with GREAT pain that we decided not to go. It was between spending my first 3 weeks worth of paychecks at this new job or going to Orlando.
I wanted Orlando SO bad, but because of better judgement I decided not to go :~(

REALLY looking forward to the late night adult Ask Greg, though!

Daniel Johnson: Thats why I got USA.net
I reccomend getting a non-isp dependant e-mail address just incase you every change ISP's.

Since my presence at G2K is going to be limited to the Art Show, I've posted an Inventory of my artwork on my website for the convenient of any potential buyers. All of the items are matted and plastic-wrapped. I've posted both the Auction Bid Price and a Fixed Price for quick sale AFTER the Art Auction. In the event that some of it doesn't sell, I'll continue to offer it for sale off of my website.

Here's hoping that everyone that's headed for Orlando has a safe and exciting time at Gathering 2000!!!

Ahhhh....only one more week of summer school! ^_^ Plus I was finally able to get my grade in Economics back up to the B range. Damn that 11/40 test! That chapter made no sense to me at all! >:P

I'm afraid that the two rapes that happened recently have still not been solved. I've heard no new news about the two cases. I'm keeping my fingers crossd and sending a prayer to my Lady in hoping that the two criminals get caught and confess.

*sighs wistfully* I can't wait for when my graduate from high school. I have to great reasons to be happy about it.

(1) No more high school. (hey, who wouldn't love the end of it? ;))

(2) Bahemut will come out to visit me for a week and we can do stuff together!!!! ^_^ Hiking in the redwoods, shopping, watching anime videos, going to nice restaraunts, visiting Napa Valley...the list goes on and on! ^_^

You know, something happened to me on Thursday that got me really upset. I found out when I was over hearing a conversation between my two friends as we were walking through the halls was that another friend of ours was having a surprise B-day party. The problem? I wasn't invited. I couldn't fix the problem or try and find out why I wasn't invited was because none of my friends whom I go to summer school with have the host's phone number and I can't find her number in the school directory. I found a large number of people with her last name in the telephone book, and I was not about to go searching through all of them (too shy! :P). So after some sulking around for about an hour or so, I just decided I'd ask her about it when school started up again. Maybe by then I won't feel like biting her head off. >:P

talk to you guys later!

Ok. This is gonna be a post of the "you know when you begin, not when you finish" kind...

First of all, I want to thank everyone wished me good for my vacation, and everyone welcomed me back. Thank you with all my heart, my friends.

***VACATION REPORT***

Probably my best vacation, I think. Just ten days of riding, without a destination or a reservation in any place. (Suggestion: if you want to make it, no more than four persons in two bikes. In four you are enough to face anything can happen, while, if you are too many, you risk to waste half of the time discussing about where to go. Most of all, please select people who get on well together (is there a way to say it in a single word? In Italian I'd say "Affiatati"...). My team? Well, me (of course), my sweetest girlfriend Alessia (none else can sit on the backseat of my bike...;), my friend Francesca on her own Ducati (she recovered quickly from that night I mentioned...something I always admired on her: she doesn't allow anything to sadden her for too long) and my dearest friend Nicola as her passenger (a last-minute addiction, in sostitution of that pig that left Fran...she lost nothing, if you want my opinion). Four friends, two good bikes, two tents, all we were able to carry with us and some beautiful regions to explore...what can you ask for more? We started from central Italy (Toscana, that Englismen call Chiantishire...a zone I know very well), and slowly descended south along the shoreline. We stopped one night to sleep in my granparent's house near Naples, then prosecuted to Calabria, where we stopped for the remaining five days in a camping. I took advantage to see one of the few zones in my country I had never seen (you Americans could think that Italy is a little country, so it is supposed to be quick to visit...but in this little space there are so many things to see that a lifetime would not be enough. We had a lot of diving and swimming, went to visit a lot of small towns hidden in the mountains (some of them so little that they were not marked on the maps) and discovered the local dishes (very good if you like spicy flavours). Weather was on our side: sunny and warm for the whole time, we were lucky. Why did we do the return run in a single stage, from Calabria to Lombardia (more or less the whole Italy from south to north)? Well, basically because of we had finished money...seriously!
I have a lot of beautiful memories I'd love to be able to show with you: that beautiful little valley we found when we had got lost and were trying to find our way again, or that night when we hadn't found a place to sleep, so we stopped in a shore, and instead of sleeping we stood waiting for the dawn and watching the stars shining, while the waves crumbled...so many things I'd like to share, as I said (not EVERYTHING...some things are a bit...personal, do you catch me? ;). Well, now I'm here again...on my plains. By the way, as I returned I found out that my parents have taken my little brother Massimo in vacation on their own, so I'll be home alone for the rest of the week...I'll try to take advantage of it, to finish my story and study a little eventually...

END REPORT

Jannie:> <Reads through the CR> Argh...it is terrible! Well, at least, according to what I've read, things are getting better, and for that I'm glad. I'm sorry I wasn't here to give you support in your time of difficulties. Well, I wish you a quick and total recovery, and I hope you'll have no more problems. You are in my thoughts, anyway.

Doug and Winterwolf:> Well, if you have read above, you already know Francesca has quickly recovered, and I assure you she had a great time in vacation. You know, I know her since we were childs...she knows everything about me, she's not my friend but the sister I have not, and if she feels not good, I feel the same...

Doug:> I agree with you about Terminator. There's a scene I've always liked particularily: in the end, as the shattered remnants of the Terminator still crawl forward trying to execute its program, to terminate Sarah...That wounded creature, that probably, if it had a chance to choose, was to prefer to lay down and die, had instead to go on, forced by its program to pursue a goal that is bigger than it can understand...I almost felt pity for the Terminator at that point. That robot seemed to me a kind of allegory of our time mankind...
Thank you for your congratulations about my exam.

Gside:> Harry Potter casting: <giggles> I heard about it...oh well...as someone used to say: "Vox populi, vox Dei" (I never believed it, but as you said "A stopped clock...";)

Spacebabie:> Buffy: Yes, it is a good show. As I said, I was a bit perplexed in the beginning, but now I like it more and more as episodes come. I'm seeing them with a quicker pace than you did, so probably I can see the evolution more easily. Just tonight they introduced a new bad guy, Spike is his name if I got it well. Seems interesting...more than that other one, the Master. I'll be glad to discuss with you about it, if you like :)

Brooklyn:> You're welcome :) Waiting patiently for the new episode, take your time.

Niamhgold:> I'm sorry you was worried about me missing from the CR, I didn't mean to worry you. I promise I'll no more leave in future without warning you :). I'm glad to know your wisdom teeth stopped hurting you, and to know you had a good time with your friends' weddings. Oh, check your email.:)

Green Baron:> Well, uhm...your life is having a twist, isn't it? Well, your mother's behaviour seems not so fair to me (I don't wanna say more...she's your mother after all, although you already mentioned your relations are not so good). Well, keep us informed...I just hope it doesn't interfere with your projects.

Kitainia:> Happy Birthday! I'm sorry to be late, if I had known I was going to send you my wishes in time. 21 years, isn't it? Happy Birthday again, be sure I'll not forget it next year, even if I'll be on service. I'm also glad you and Doug enjoyed your trip.

Oh, well, nothing more I think. If I missed anything, please tell me, I promise I'll reply.

See you tomorrow, people. Good night!

**WORK RELATED**
Several people were absent today at work. I wonder why (sarcism). If I did not have next Saturday off, I was going to take it off (and get a strike against me) to get some sleep. Despite having 11 hours of sleep yesterday, I was still sleepy this morning. If I get hired, I may ask for flexible hours so that I work the same amount of hours, but I get a day off every week.

I guess management has not heard of working of 2 shifts of 4 10 hour days and combining it with a 2 shifts of 3 12 hour days to keep the factory working AND decrease absentism.

*DPH thinks about hurling lightning bolts at 2nd and 3rd shift for leaving a mess behind.* I spent 45 minutes today cleaning up the mess that was left behind. My room may be a mess, but, darn it, my work area is clean. A lot of full-time employees are taking a vacation day during this weekend (I wonder why. NOT!.

I am told that at the other factory (the company has two factories in the same area) that the last day off was 4th of July.

Wow, I haven't posted here in a week! Must be something wrong with me. Well, I know there is, but... :)

I'm not sure when or if I'll get caught up, I may just start out fresh this week, because as my new IP address shows, I now have DSL and will probably be playing with it for a while. ;) Also note that I have a new email address, of course, although the old one will be active until I'm sure I'm staying with the new setup.

Umm, that's it for now; got to go play some more. And to those going to the Gathering (lucky dogs) have a safe and fun trip! Take lots of pictures!

FAMILY MINIRANT

Older brothers suck. My bro is FINALLY (thank god) moving out so I get back my beloved livingroom and late night cable tv (he slept on the couch, since after he got thrown out for being an all around Pile when he was 18, we made his room the Office) and he decides to take the Computer with him.

I still have one, ofcourse.. but... its old and slow and all my good files are on here

**enters in a black leather jumpsuit**

Well then ...

**SPOILERS FOR "X-MEN" AHEAD!**

... I went with FS and LM to see X-Men yesterday at the theater he's always raving about ... and now I certainly can see why. (PS -- Detroit-area lurkers, ifn's ya see three crazies on WDIV's "MeTV" going on about the Gathering in 2002 ... guess who! ;)
In a word, the movie was great. Perfect blend of action, characterization, and enough humor to make it all palatable. I saw no problems with the characterizations as they were portrayed ... only exception might have been Storm, but then again the part wasn't really too well fleshed out, and it looked to me like Halle Berry did her best with a character that was largely ignored in the script.

FS did bring up a real good point after all was said and done ... it'll be interesting to see where Rogue's characterization goes in the next film (and you *know* there'll be more ... hell, the opening sequence of this one felt like it's going to be used as a stock opening for all future X-films, just like the James Bond one), considering that she's got an *awful* lot of Magneto ... and an *awful* lot of Wolvie ... that she's absorbed.

**END SPOILERS**

Garg film casting: Okay, let's see here ... we're talking strictly human characters I expect, right? All righty then ...
Elisa: Not quite blasphemous, SJ, considering Salli has made a better career out of voice acting than live action (the only film she's ever been in was a bit part in "A Low Down Dirty Shame"). If she could kill her accent for long enough, possibly Salma Hayek would be a good choice, plus you'll *really* drag in the 18-30 male demographic if ya cast *her.*
MacBeth: **clears throat** The most regal actor Hollywood has right now that could pull it off is Sean Connery. Mainly because he can handle the action aspect as well as the regal one.
Sevarius: Tim Curry. End of discussion, not only is he a great voice actor, he's a well-established film actor (Rocky Horror notwithstanding).
Owen: This one's difficult, really ... who's stiff enough? Give me time and I can find someone ... just call me Central Casting. ;)

Spike: You mean you're not comin'? Aw man ... **sigh** Well, we'll miss ya. :)

Niamhgold: You wanna talk serious storms? I had to drive my Caddy moulding-high through a flooded section of I-94 (near the Lodge Freeway in Detroit) to get to Dearborn yesterday. Coming back from FS and LM's place, though, you woulda thought you were suddenly in a Winston Cup race. :)

Well then ... I guess that's all for me ... my flight leaves tomorrow morning, bright and WAAAAAAAAY too early (7AM! ARRRGH!!!!). So that'll be all for me ... see youse folks in Orlando, those that'll be there.

I asked my parents this morning if they changed their minds about sending me to Orlando, but they said if they had the money they would. I can't say I didn't try! Take lots of pictures!

Avalon Mists > just a reminder, the deadline for the fall issue is coming up -- Thursday Aug. 31! While there have been many, MANY replies for the addictive Random Gargoyle Generator challenge, we're still looking for fics, filks, crossovers, character spotlights, etc.

Gathering > only a few more days! Even less for us, as we're leaving way too early Tuesday morning. But I am hoping to see lots of folks there, especially at my reading and at the fanfic panels! I am really looking forward to finally meeting Madame Destine in person!

Darn typos. That was supposed to say 4th. Oh well. I was so tired when I posted that I didn't even notice. I spent most of yesterday helping a friend move. I'm trying to build up moving karma since I'm probably going to end up in a new building on Monday.

Winterwolf: You reckon? Well, as a friend of mine says, "If violence don't fix it, sex will. Or vice versa." ;) But seriously, I think a new PC will make me quite happy, if it is able to run newer games than my present one can. :)

Gside: Yeah, the early levels go by fast... *ponder* Am I at level 14 or 15 now? Hmmm... gotta check. (I've reached the waypoint in the catacombs - my mother keeps interrupting me, so I never seem able to finish the quest I embark on...)
