Is it just me, or does Christina Aguilera look kinda like Buffy the Vampire Slayer? Maybe I just need new glasses or something...;P

Phew! My SAT's are over with, and I'm glad! There were some words I recognized from studing my Kaplan flashcards, so I'm pretty sure I did well. :) To celebrate, my dad bought me a new wicca book called, "Green Witchcraft". ^_^ Me love these books!
Ugh, I have never been to Woodland High before and it is so ugly! Woodland High is my school's arch rival. I remember hearing that the school was origanlly planned to be a prison! @_@ And boy does it look like it! There are no windows anywhere, the whole thing is surrounded by a tall brick wall and you have to enter through iron gates! Damn glad I don't have to go to school there. Could explain why those guys don't do so well in school: they spend most of their time in prison. ;P
Must go now, laters peoples!

Ok, SAT II is over!! Writing and Literature were fine, but Math? I ended up skipping like 15 questions! We shall see how I did.

****RANT****
Soooooo busy! The school had better not say the students have problems with time management, because *they're* the ones who give us three days off, encourage us to visit colleges, then give us lots of long involved projects just in case we might have a second of spare time we might want to spend, I don't know, sleeping?!? (Sleep? what's sleep?)

*Relationship Stuff*
Ok, so the guy I like and I have been debating whether or not we want to be an item. We're friends first and foremost, and either way won't change that.
That being said...
Before this whole thing came up between us, there was this other girl. He and I were platonic (still are, technically) and he really seemed to like her, so I encouraged him to go for it. He hesitated. (this all wa months ago). A few days ago, he hears from her. Turns out she does like him. He doesn't know what he's going to do. I really want him to choose me, but I'd rather he be happy with her than miserable with me, you know? SO, what does this mean?
a)I've got it bad!
b)I'm becoming enlightened.
c)I'm too much of a coward to fight for what I want.
d) some combination of the above.
e) something I may have completely overlooked.

Any ideas? I figure at the very least this can be a learning experience, right?
*End relationship stuff*

Daphne smiles. "I owe you."

Jasn Filler shakes his head. "Forget it. We have an evil to stop, right?"

Daphne gets up, ready to agree with him, when she stops short. "You have an evil to stop. You must return to your own Realm."

"What? But, what about --?"

"This is more pressing. I'll go on, and when you're done, just meet me wherever I am." She smiles. "Bring your friend, if you want."

"How did you know DPH wants to come?"

"I have a lot of answers and questions that'll have to wait until next time." She pauses. "Be careful, ok?"

He nods, then opens the portal.

Daphne waves. "Be happy!" she calls.

Wow. That was incredible. It has been at least TWO YEARS since I got to see any Gargoyles eps, but last night I sat and watched ELEVEN SOLID HOURS of them. The term "Mind-blowing" springs to mind. Lots of good ones, too. The Awakening sequence, a selection of Wandering Skiff eps, all four eps of City of Stone, and Hunter's Moon. It was 4AM when they finished, but it was worth it.

Of course, I don't have a TV in my dorm room. So I had to watch it in the television lounge, which is incidentally on a main thoroughfare in my building. People kept passing through and saying things like "Didn't I see you here five hours ago when I was on my way out??" One young lady said "OOOOOOO!! GARGOYLES!! I love that show. Must . . . Resist . . . Television. Must . . . Go . . . to . . . class . . . ."

The saga of my new comp continues. I ordered it in August; it took Axis Systems FORTY FIVE DAYS to get it to me. Then I had to leave it at home for a week due to scheduling troubles; my Dad brought it up to me today. And you know what? My darling little brother whom we all love and adore FORGOT TO PACK ANY OF THE POWER CABLES! ARGH! I'm beginning to think the computer must be hexed. >:-(

<pant, pant> <gets a grip>

Aside from that I am well. I have a midterm on Tuesday in Egyptian Heiroglyphs, and some Anglo-Saxon to translate for Wednesday. Friday I will continue work on translating Serpentum et Draconum Historiae. The book is divided into two parts. Part 1 is all about various types of snakes. The second part is about dragons and mythological beasts. It has these sections:

De Dracone in Genere (On the Race of the Dragon)
De Basilisco
De Hydra
De Dracone Bipede (On Bipedal Dragons)
De Draconibus Alatis (On Winged Dragons)

There are one or two other chapters in that section which I can't remember off the top of my head. There are some nice woodcuts illustrating the points of the text.

All right, boyz and gals...thanks to everyone welcomed me back. I've quickly read through the last weeks' CR, so here are some replies...

Welcome to all the new faces! I apologize for not welcoming you one by one, but you are too much...:)

Gside:> No, I still haven't shoot down anything yet...;). When we will finish the training (in December, probably), it is rumored that the Regiment will be sent in Poland or Romania for some NATO maneuvers, and so probably we will have the chance...

Doug and Kit:> Nice to see you, friends. <reads through the CR> Hm...things are never boring for you, isn't it?
Doug, although I'm late I want to extend to you my condolences for the loss of Lawrence Edward Charles. Reading the description you made of him, I feel to say that he was one of those people who can make the difference in others' lives. If only there were some more like him in this world... I am also saddened in hearing about your work troubles. Seems that troublemakers are the real dominant species on this planet. <Frowns> I am not sure...seems to me I've read so in one of your posts, but...did you decide to join the police? Well, if it is so, I think it is a great thing. There is a desperate need of people who want and try to help the others...and I know you could be a great policeman. For a strange coincidence of destiny, I am pondering about something similar for my life as well...but it is for another time.
Kit, I am glad to know your friend Shauna had no troubles for giving Gus what he deserved. I am also glad to know that the Mighty Morphing Gus'Girlfriend showed herself to be even dumber than her guy. Well, I really hope your troubles are finished...for a while, at least. Anyway, can't help but being enraged at the thought that a nice, honest and good person like you are has to have all these troubles. It is so...wrong. Oh, well...I also wanted to thank you for the words you wrote when I left (although I've read them only today). And Alessia asked me to thank you as well. Our relationship seems not to be too affected by my absence until now...and I really hope things will keep on this way, 'cause Ale is the best thing that could happen to me...more than I deserved, for sure...:)

Niamhgold:> I thank you too for your goodbye words. I am very happy and honored to be your friend, since you are such a caring person. I'll email you immediately as I'll finish here.

Winterwolf:> Hi, pal. Thank you a lot for your letter, I was very happy to receive it! I've seen you also received mine one. I lost Dreamie's birthday, it seems...I'm sorry of that. How was the on-line party? I also hope you had fun at your friends' wedding.

Dreamie:> I know I am unforgettably late, but I wanted to make you my best wishes for an happy birthday.

Ok, enough for now...I'm sure I missed something (a LOT of things), so I apologize to everyone I didn't respond to, and I promise I'll try to remedy in my next post...in a few hours, probably.

See you!

*Warpmind enters, humming cheerfully.*
Well, I fixed something in my little section of the GFW Archive... namely, my site addy. And, seeing that it's about two or three months since Xoom.com was bought out by NBCi, I reckon it's WAY overdue, anyway... :|

Doug: Just wanted to check, Thanks. :)

Fire Storm: Smuggle back technology? Hmmm... *ponder* uh, you might have lost me... how expensive before considered a weapon? What the <Censored> kind of technology are you talking about? I have deadly weapon technology at my disposal, and *that* didn't cost me more than, oh, maybe five bucks? (A nice folding knife, bought in Prague - dirt cheap. Too long to bring through airport security, though - believe me.) Oh, and if you want "Christmas At Ground Zero"... I *could* let you at the video - I've got it on Mpeg format; a bit big, but _very_ decent quality. ]:) (E-mail is probably not a good idea - I could upload it to a small subdirectory on my site and e-mail you the link, I guess.)

DPH: Where's the fun in a superhuman character who is invincible in all ways? Where'd the fun be if the hero was utterly perfect? Or worse, the villain? Think a bit about it; everyone's gotta have an Achilles' heel.

Well, that's *definitely* it for now. Later, guys.

I am very carefull with words. Notice I said "seemingly almost nothing" instead of "almost nothing". If I say much more, I will be giving spoilers away. Obviously, no character will get anywhere near omnipotence in the BFTS RP, although, for a while, it might appear that way.

Friday the 13: Hey, wasn't the Friday the 13 on a full moon?
Also, wasn't that full moon Hunters Moon?

Gside: <Ahh. Um. Just thought they sounded neat in that order?>
Yeah... Pretty much.
<Well, yeah. But why don't the option values line up with that?>
I have no idea. Probally just Gore's preferance.
<The prophesy sounds like fun. And that would be a neat way to record a prophesy, no?>
Thats what I thought too!
<Did I miss an update?>
I have no idea.
<it leads you to a bunch of other resources>
Yeah... I think she did a good job!
<May you and your wallet have a rapid recovery.>
I will recover, and my wallet dosn't have a whole helluva lot to recover from!

Ah, all you bipeds look alike to me. :)
Hey, when you come to G2k+1, are you gonna try smuggling back some technology?
What's the limit before it is considered a weapon? $400? We can build you a system for less.

Jannie: <25. The American Revolution would never have happened if the colonists had submitted to Gun Control Laws>
I think thats what they are afraid of.
The second American Revolution.

DPH: <if the answer is yes, then finding the sanity-increasing device and replicator should be easy.>
Maybe we already have a sanity-increasing device.
In fact, we have had them for years.
Books!

GXB: <Thoth dressed kind of like Darth Maul.>

Mary Flanders: <I'm not Native American>
I am. I was born here, my parents were born here, and their parents were born here.

Gunjack: <*Curls up in a ball from sympathy pain*>
fortunately, the pain stopped after 12 hours.
Unfortunately, they are gonna give me a wholelotta NEW pain Tuesday.
<Do you, by any chance, own a copy of "AVP"?>
No, but I played the AVP:Aliens Demo. :)
<"Cheery Atomic Colors"? Ick...;P *Starts humming "Christmas at Ground Zero"*>
*Note to self, find that MP3*

*TOOTH UPDATE!*

Dental college ROCKS!
They couldn't extract the tooth Friday (damn prexisting medical condition), so I have to go back Tuesday so they can rip that tooth out..
This whole mess may cost me less than $200!
(And yes, I am still in some pain)

*Warpmind enters, pondering.*
Well, looks like I'm going to the big city on Wednesday... just for the day, that is. And, I might get to visit a sporting goods store... maybe I'll even manage to find a sword, so I can practice for the possible duel between Archwolf and me... (I don't have many requirements for it; just a bit of practice with a relevant weapon will do - I *know* he's way out of my league, but I'm not about to face him with *no* proper experience in the weapon type.) So, my great concern is: go for an epee... or look for a daikatana, which has a slightly longer blade, and thus gives me a little more of a fighting chance... ;)

James Birdsong: No apology needed - however, if you made this mistake repeatedly and frequently, I might not be so forgiving. ;) And as I said, you're not the first to mix up our names. (I think you're the third, actually...)

Jannie: Woo Hoo! That list was FUN to read. And maybe it should be made mandatory reading for those thugs, goons and schmucks that are parked in your Congress and Senate, aye? ;)

Gside: That our neighbours to the east are idiots is old information... though, they do make great pies. (I got the recipe from my shrink, dr. H. Lecter...) Oh, and as for your music... it IS good. But cheesy. And hey, I *love* cheese. ;) (Remember, the cheese slicer *is* a Norwegian invention...)

Doug: No real requirements, then? Oh, goodie. :) And you even reckon I'd be good at it? Hm, must be that nice-guy-with-psychotic-traits attitude of mine... ;) But seriously, no tolerance for sadism and cruelty? *Grumbles something inaudible.* Oh, well, just as well, I guess... I reckon any "police brutality"-type accusations wouldn't be good, anyway... come to think of it, there's probably no excuse for savagery on the job, anyway... :) By the way, one *is* allowed to defend oneself, right? ;)

Gunjack Valentine: So, an airgun does fall under your definition of "gun", then? Shoulda figured - though , the airgun pistol I've used, a pesky little thing, really, wasn't even capable of stopping a squirrel at fourty feet. Heck, the damn thing was fired into my leg, and it didn't even pierce my jeans, far less leave a bruide. :) Not to worry, the jerk who shot me suffered far more - unlike me, he did NOT have a naturally high pain threshold... ]:) As for biblical reference to magic, I figure you pretty much got it right there. :) However, the forms of magic I'm deliberately pursuing are various methods of scrying, mainly pendulum and water scrying (the latter of which, as I hear it, was frequently employed by Nostradamus himself), and I dabble in the Tarot, although with an intimidating accuracy. Heck, on one occasion, I diagnosed a pregnancy - by PROXY! (Weird story - I might tell the whole thing at G2001.)

Jaden! Yay! You're back! Welcome home, amigo! Hope you wind up with a tolerable gang in the barracks, at least. :)

Well, that looks like the end of this post... aloha, guys.

Jaden: Ditto what Doug said from me. Real good to know you'll still be hanging out with us even though you're overseas. Welcome back once again! :)

Gunjack: Yeah, I was grossed-out by the thought of shooting those coyotes too. Them showing me how easy it was only worsened things. They were living creatures after all. Then Cobra and Snake told me about how coyotes had killed their dad's livestock all the time when they were young, and how one of them had also killed their favorite dog. For that, Snake said, they would be forever taking revenge on the entire species. The way they told the story, which I unfortunately can't remember exactly, made it a lot easier to fire the gun at them. So did using inanimate targets from that point on. The specter of knowing what a gun can do to a living creature hanging over you even as you shoot at a nonliving object is a powerful incentive to use one safely and well. :)

Gunjack: Guess my headache was getting in the way of my reading more than I thought last night, sorry about that and the confusion. Thanks for the corrections on the abortion stuff. You're very right about euthanasia and quality of life, but I still stand by my belief that it would be a good thing for abortion survivors. On the other hand if the kid did survive one and then was able to achieve full sentience (brain damage might be a possibility) and know what he had done...that could create some kinda inner strength. :) And yes, I do vote. However, the issue of abortion, while one I do care about, is not in my hands as far as policy on it goes. The guy I vote for may not even win the election, and I've sent many letters to my Congresspeople and Senators and yes, the President too, and had them all ignored. Never replied to, ever. It's very distressing. :( Thanks for your encouragement on the job issues, and for your wishes of luck.

Jaden: Hey. :) Good to see you in here again, glad the environment over there is so beautiful. Hope that the rain ends soon, you can soon get Internet access in the barracks, and you keep finding reasons to enjoy the place. Welcome back.

Here I am! Well I'm in Korea now and so far I'm enjoying the experience and look forward to the end of my tour. I've divided my my experiences thus far into two catagories:

Bad news: It's cold and going to get colder until March (then comes the monsoon season). I don't get Internet access in my room and must rely on a cyber cafe to do all my on-line business (this may change however since I'm moving into different barracks soon). I'm still working on getting settled here and it is going to take longer than I thought. I don't get Toondisney (AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!) or Sci-fi and WGN (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!)

Good news: I'm on-line enough to get to hang with you guys (YES!) I'm in one of the better areas (Camp Casey). Everyone is very nice and helpful, the environment is beautiful, green trees, hills and mountains. I plan to take about 30 days vacation and either go home or Austrailia.

Well that's all I have time for now. I should be able to post at least once a week. Thanks for all your support.

Later!

*Valentine drags a bucket of steaming mocha over to his desk, plunks down into his Comfy Chair, and kicks back contentedly*

I had weird dreams last night... Wierd but good, and EXTREMELY detailed. Only problem is that I was so busy figureskating in my socks in a supermarket that I slept in 'till noon. :P
And then when I turn on my computer, what greets me? Pictures of the USS Cole. Someone's gonna pay for that stunt. Whoever they are, now'd be a good time to get life insurance... *shuts up, and joins in the moment of silence*

On to the replies.

Both of 'em are great songs to Do War to... <<I can't decide if that's the coolest thing ever said in here, or the scariest. :P>> Definatly leaning towards the later... *checks his Ka-Bar* <<What, are you people smoking me in a bong?>> What, didn't you know? Care to correct an idiot? <<I've always thought people should be allowed to own rocket launchers and anti-aircraft weaponry.>> How the heck do you hunt mountian goat with a 40mm Cannon? Granted, it's about the fastest kill possible, but the gear is pure death to hump up a mountian! And don't even get me started on the colateral damage problem for self defense...;) This reminds me of a movie; anyone ever seent the old Spielberg bomb "1941"? :) <<Leave your sanity with us, please; it chafes. :)>> Chafes *what*? o_O

That old series is AWESOME!>> I remember seeing the... movie I think it was... The Joker had built a dehydrator ray that reduced people to little piles of sand, and hew used it on the world leaders... Anyone else remember this? <<As for whether or not I've ever fired a gun, well... kinda depends on your definition of "gun".>> To be totally honest, I only *own* two airguns, and no real ones. On the other hand, I've gotten time on an AK, a .22 semi-auto rifle, two Ruger pistols (9mm and .40 S&W), a sweet Ruger .45 SAA revolver, and pump and semi-auto shotguns. I've got good friends. :D <<(I held it VERY incorrectly - almost an inch in front of my sholder - the jerk slammed it into my arm.)>> *winces* Ouch! Bet you didn't do that twice...
<<Oh, and according to the Bible (or so I hear from those in the know), all magic originates from the infernal. Personally, I disagree with that; I reckon magic is on whuppin' big gray zone where you got the divine brand on on end of the scale, and the infernal brand on the other, and a heck of a lot of fun in-between.>> To my understanding, The prohibition of magic in the bible is based on God's hate of Idolitry; "you shall have no other gods before me". Apparently, the stance is that since God created all and is omnipotent, appealing to other powers (such as magic) is an insult... *shrugs* ...It's all pretty moot to me, as I'm severly skeptical of paranormal stuff like ESP and magic. That conflicts a bit with some Biblical accounts, but I just haven't gotten around to sorting it all out.
Out of curiousity, what exactly IS the magic you've been studying?
<<As for my getting an A-10 Gatling... well, no, but I *was* considering to meddle a bit with demonic summonings, and I want all the necessary precautions in place first. ;)>> Ah, so you want the government to bend the rules for you, so that you can be safer while possibly destroying the world? *thinks a bit* Well, it's the government... You could always try campaign contributions... <<Watch out, kids; the addiction is stronger than that of heroin. Or heroines, but that's another issue altogether... ;)>> Whoa... I'm not even gonna LOOK at that one... <<I'm a human, he's a gargoyle; HOW MANY CAN MAKE THAT MISTAKE ANYWAY??? (In other words, you're not the first to do this...)>> Maybe it's just that your brands of insanity are oddly similar..? <<Oh, and I really recommended "Eskimo" to Gunjack Valentine? Hmmm... *Scritches head* musta been those parody bits at the end, then... :|>> Glad to hear you weren't trying to draw any Fruedian paralels... :P

On the other hand, there is the whole flunking/blacklisting/ruining-the-rest-of-my-life schtick she could pull, so... Probably not. :P <<It says, "back then, ppl used to live in dirt houses, and ppl had to work long hard hours. Infact, even the children had to work at very young ages. ...0_o...>> And as we all know, working and living conditions are the sole standard of happiness...
*Reads the rest of the post, finishes, rubs his eyes.*
I'm pretty new to logic, so could someone explain to me why this woman continues to have a teaching postion ANYWHERE?

Kitainia><<I have got to try those pranks you mentioned to Winterwolf sometime. The groom at the next wedding I attend is going to get quite a surprise. Just hope the bride's not anyone I know so I don't have to put them in on it. Heh.>> Eee... Am I the only one here who would worry about "offense (and Offence) on the field of honor"? That prank STILL sounds like a good way to loosen teeth... <<That's why Doug and I own a safe full of two Remington 12-gauge rifles, a Sabati double-barrel shotgun (which Cobra made my parents nuts by giving me for my eighteenth birthday :), two Colt .45s, and plenty of ammo. All with laser sights and registered in our names.>> *reads through the list, and then begins to weep softly.* And the sad thing is, you say you don't even like guns that much... There is no justice... ;D <<We don't go walking around with them, but if somebody breaks into our house, they better watch out. :)>> And may God have mercy on their souls... <<Some others are ridiculous, like the free trigger locks they distributed in Texas recently that turned out to be defective.>> *Blinks* ...I think I heard about this, but allowed myself to forget. Now THERE'S a fun adition to my quiver of arguements! <<Snake may have used a couple of chained-up coyotes Cobra, Bigger Dave, and Big Al had trapped earlier in place of a block of wood, but the effect was the same.>> Eeew!

Gside><<I spend most of every day doing that. Except for nights before labs and when principles homework is due.>> *grin* Fun, ain't it? I started out on Penny Arcade (thanks to Duece), and am currently up on about eight series... <<Cna't say I do that on a regular basis...>> Pity. Nothing compares to baking Ts with the muzzleblast of an AUG...;D
<<...though I have gotten back into my emulators (poor ignored DII). I finally gave up on FFIV Hardtype: couldn't get past waterboy.>> My sister has a question: do you know where I could find an emulation of Chronotrigger? My sister wanted one bad, and to be honest, so do I... And also, are translated versions of the Japanese-only FFs available? <<In a feeble effort to be somewhat healthy, I go with one of the percents.>> Who cares about healthy? <<No, mine is much, much better. I had it well before Skull got his gaming hat. I don't think any animals died to make any fezes.>> I wondered about that... <<And it is nice and warm in winter. But I really have only worn it while being supergeek in Goldeneye. If you want a description, think fur lined leather bombing hat. With earflaps. I love it.>> Ah, I know the type your talking about... does it have real chinchilla fur, or did they skimp with rabbit? <<I tend to do that a lot. But I was listening to the Motorcycle Song by Arlo Guthrie at the time (with the explanation of the pickle). I just randomly felt like sharing some of the lyrics.>> Ah, that makes much more sense. Now all I'm trying to figure out is WHY you would be listening to music like that... ;) <<Are you saying I should put my clothes back on?>> More... *gag* Info than needed *wheeze* ;D <<No, just scarfing on the way between classes. You did just compare yourself to twinkies, after all.>> Ah, I LIKED the Wilegar idea... :) <<You're going to find out anyway.>> Ah, that ALSO explains a lot. Actually, I was refering to modern "art" peices that consisted mostly of hardcore porn.
<<And a reference in HHGtG, in the form of a statue of Leda and the Octopus.>> Funny, I thought Wilek can up with the idea of octopus porn... :) <<Too bad I never saw more than half a minute of the series.>> I've never even HEARD of it...

Shadowrider><<Hi to everyone! I'm home for a couple of days (I am supposed to return to the Regiment in Sunday), so I'll be around for the weekend!>> Excellent! Pull up a chair and a (IBC) bottle! <<So, how are you all? And what has happened in my absence?>> Don't look at me, I just got back too! I got here on the tail end of a few debates, and in time for the kickoff of a few more... Same old, same old. ;D <<I have no time to read through the Room now, so I'll post something more later...>> Looking forward to it!

Lady Mystic><<Fire Storm's most troublesome wisdom tooth MAJORLY broke just a few hours ago. Now he's got to call off work and find an emergency dental surgeon.>>Eee... Words cannot express... *Curls up in a ball from sympathy pain*

Xenatrek><<She died between 130 and 2 PM on route to a Hospice in which she was really looking forward to it.>> She and you will be in our prayers...

Christine><<The guys in the class were even more skittish, rushing in and out like hunted things.>> And for good reason!

Jannie - Nice List. :)

DPH><<Who needs the chronostone anyways because after the next BFTS RP battle, seemingly almost nothing will be impossible for DPH?>> *switches to Crow voice* ...And yet he will remain humble... ;)

Doug - Glad to see you back, 'Mano... Though I'm sorry to hear about the idiot you work with. :P Here's to hoping he gets straightened out... <<Unfortunately, they try to get away with a lot. I report whatever I spot for everyone's good.>> Good man. That kinda crap can get EVERYONE in trouble real fast... <<Abortion Issues:...>> Heh. See below... :)

***********************THE ABORTION STUFF*******************

Entity><<Wow. Straight out of my mouth.>> Even if we disagree on everything else, at least we can agree to follow Reason. And who knows? Maybe you'll convince me of the folly of my benighted ways! :D And speaking of disagreements...
<<The line blurs when it comes to abortion. The two halves begin to overlap.>> I assume that you mean that "fetuses" acheive humanity gradually. I cannot directly refute that arguement, but I do think it raises more problems than it solves.
For instance, what specific change during the development of the fetus marks the threshhold of Life vs. Non-Life? between conception and birth, I have heard of no changes that could provide an anchor for this line; the process is one long, incremental development. This, to my understanding, is where most of the arguements crop up, and I'm sure that someone else will be happy to supply them shortly after this is posted. Just remember, punching and kicking are ok, but no biting. I hate being bitten...;)
Assuming that the "fetus" is not human life before birth, what about birth, medically, would make it the place to draw that line? The only way that the line could be drawn at birth were if the "fetus" underwent a change greater than the rest of development. To my understanding, no such change takes place. There are no scientific grounds, to my knowledge, for the position of the Federal Government and the majority of America. That scares me.
*turns to the rest of the room*
I'm aware that most of the CR denizens will disagree with the above statements, and unlike many people I know, I'm unable to accept the "it's true for you, but not for me" responce. If you disagree with the above, please rip a wide hole in it with logic. Anything less would be a disservice to everyone. *ends public service anouncement*
<<You're a fun responder-toer.>> The feeling's mutual, I assure you. :D

Doug><<Abortion Issues: I share Gunjack's opinions on giving children who survive them full civil rights.>> *blinks* ...Actually, no you don't, though at least you're logically consistent within your own beliefs. I was outlining the logical consequences of the other side's views, not advancing my own. I applaud the 15 reps who voted "nay" simply because they were being logically consistent on an importent topic.
<<IMO, it would be euthanasia to kill those kids. Imagining the pain they've already experienced is bad enough, to think they'll have to live with more…<shakes head>>> I agree that it would be euthanasia, but I disagree that euthanasia is a good thing. Quality of life is about more than pain or deformity. If I was shot in the spine during a mugging, and though horribly crippled survived, I'd hate for someone to decide that my quality of life was sufficiently low to justify finishing me off.
<<<sigh> Oh well, this issue is not really mine to worry about.>> Why? You do vote, don't you? It's a rather important topic, no matter which side you're on...

************************END ABORTION STUFF******************

Well, It's taken me nine hours to write this baby (with breaks to visit with my visiting grandparents), and here's to hoping it doesn't crash the CR or something... :P

Until next time,
Peace, Love, Dope!

**RP HERE**

"I say!" a short nervous-looking Englishman in an old brown suit gasps as the screen comes on revealing Mary Bey aiming a Desert Eagle at him. "I'm your friend!" "Sorry, Michael," Mary gasps in relief, lowering the gun and shaking her head. "We had a bit of a row here, and one of the instigators probably got away. I was afraid you were him come back." "I heard about that row from my police contact," Michael Marter nods, stepping inside the apartment. "It's why I came down here to check on you. Is everyone okay?" "Yeah, we're fine," Hassan says. "Dad and I got knocked out, Patty's real shaken up, and they destroyed the TV, but we're all alright." "Good," Michael smiles, glancing at Mary. "Patty's not the only one who got shook up, I'd say." Mary blushes and puts the gun down. "Michael!" Fasil calls just then, stepping out of his room with Lloky just behind. Patty and Sarita come out of Hassan's room as well, the latter girl giving Hassan a smile and playful punch on the arm. He nods at her and returns the grin. "Good to see you all alive and well," Michael nods at all of them, looking confused when he sees Lloky. "I'm a new friend of the family," the dragon introduces herself. "I'm an old one," Michael replies with a grin. "So who attacked you?" "Some wizard and a flesh golem," Fasil replies. "They were working for Abdullah. The wizard appears to have gotten away." "That's too bad," Michael sighs. "Do you all remember what he looked like? I have a friend in the local Ministry of Magic who keeps files on problem sorcerers." "You'd have to show me pictures," Mary says. "I was too scared to get a really good look at him." "And I don't want to remember that bad man," Patty adds with a shiver. "I only saw his backside," says Sarita, "where I stuck a knife." Michael raises his eyebrows, nods as Fasil and Hassan shake their heads and grin, then looks at Lloky. "He looked like this," she says, waving her hand and creating an image of Jazeem. Michael's eyes widen and then he smiles. "Ah, a little mage," he says. "Interesting. Do you go to Hogwarts? Durmstrang? BeauxBatons?" "I'm a dragon," Lloky answers, causing Michael's eyes to get even wider as the Bey family and Sarita exchange chuckles and grins. "I see," Michael grins finally. "Well, I don't recognize that wizard right off, but perhaps my friends in the MIM will." He takes out his camera and snaps a picture, then nods as Lloky waves the image away. "Well, that's done. Now, I also wanted to tell you that…" He stops as there is another knock on the apartment door. "I wonder who that is?" "Let's find out," Mary says, handing Fasil his gun.

Meanwhile in a bar just down the street from the apartment, three men are sitting around a table talking. "Achmed! Yasser!" the first man grins. "Have you heard? The King of Jordan is going to be visiting this city this evening, going into a building just down the street and meeting with some people there. This is our chance to pay him back for his father's exiling us from our homeland for the deeds we did in Allah's name!" "You are sure he is coming, Yousef?" Achmed asks, smiling while Yasser shrugs. "Yes, I am sure," Yousef insists. "My leak in his bodyguards confirmed King Abdullah II's itinerary. He will be coming here. And we will get him!" "How will we do it?" Yasser asks. "Car bomb? Grenades? Shotgun to the head? How, my brothers?" As Yousef and Achmed frown at each other, a waiter walks up to the table. "Excuse me, gentlemen," he asks, "did I hear right? You're planning to kill the King of Jordan?" "Yes," Yousef replies with a smile. "You want to help us?" "Actually I want to save my own life," the waiter answers, and as the three men gasp in shock, he then pulls out an Uzi and guns them down with a few quick precise shots. "Sorry about the mess," he tells the bartender, tossing him a bag of gold and heading for the door. "That was risky, my son," Queen Noor says to King Abdullah as he steps outside, falling into step beside him. "If they had recognized you…" "You forget I am a master of disguise, Stepmother," the King of Jordan chuckles. "And I went in prepared for those men. Their leak did the right thing in succumbing to the torture last night after we caught him." Grinning, the king checks his watch and points down the street. "The Bey family will be expecting us, let's go say hello to them." "Alright," Noor shakes her head, following her stepson as he walks on down the street.

**END THIS BIT OF RP**

Hi everybody. Kit said I might be posting in here tonight, here I am. :) Before I say anything, I want to thank everyone who gave their encouragement to me about the recent problems at work. They're easing up now somewhat. The guy who I trained but who didn't listen to me and doesn't take his job seriously is still earning a D-minus on the job- this Tuesday morning he just walked off the post without even calling in for relief, not giving a damn about it and getting us all in big trouble. Not only that, he lied about his reason for doing so when I asked him why he did it, said that Abel had told him it was okay- a lie and we both knew it, though I of course didn't let him know I knew. <sigh> Abel's giving the son of a gun one more chance, having his right hand and our best officer Corporal Rubio retrain him tonight. Hope this time he's made to pay attention. Rubio's probably been forewarned about what happened with me, so he'll be prepared. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will work, hope y'all will too. That's the only major bit of news on the work front, everything else has calmed down and is going okay. Most of the problem officers are learning from their mistakes, it seems, which is good. Also got an A- on one of my midterms, a C+ on another, both grades I can live with. Hope to get the third one back soon and have done well on it too. On to comments and replies.

**SPOILERS FOR GET CARTER**
Like Kit, I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. Great preformances from Stallone and Rachael Leigh Cooke especially. Never seen her in such a complex role before. Also good dialogue in the movie, more than decent music and cinematography, and real nice action, especially in the car chases. The fist fights could have used better choreography, though. And the scriptwriter needed some major pointers, especially when it came to plot holes and writing Michael Caine the kind of part he deserved. I can see the critics lambasting the film for those things, just wish they'd mentioned the good parts too. Oh well. No good movies this week apparently, next week is Bedazzled and there'll definitely be a review of that from me and Kit. :)
**END GET CARTER SPOILERS, REVIEW**

SJ: I'm with you on Return of the Joker. Censorship is almost never a good thing, and especially not in this case. Like Kit said, I've already signed an online petition. Maybe I'll send those two sales directors some recommendations too if I get the time. If enough people have done the same already, maybe just maybe they'll listen. <sighs> I better get to see the full version of this film so all my questions about the Batman Beyond universe can be answered. (Good episode of it last week btw, hope they have a good one tomorrow too.) Good comments on the recent political goings-on, I too will be glad when they're at an end.

Brooklyn: I noticed you were back, just forgot to say anything. Sorry about that. Will try to remember next time. Welcome back belated. :)

Jackal: Glad you decided to keep your kids in the end and you're enjoying having them around now. I don't really like abortion either, though you and I share opinions on the issue in many ways. Hope your kids continue to grow and turn out well, thanks for keeping us up to date on their lives and yours.

Arianna: Yes, you melting into the shadows is quite familiar. <grin> Good to see you doing it once more. Congrats on possibly getting into that debate, if you really want to be in it I hope you can. And I wish you luck. <bows>

Kyryn: Thanks for the good luck wishes and encouragement, as well as the condolences on Charles, which were better late than never given. :) I finally decided to quit mourning him today and took the black tape off my badge. Every other officer had done that already, when he was laid to rest, but I felt motivated to wear it longer, he meant so much to me. One thing's for sure, I'll be remembering the lessons he laid down all my life. :) My congrats to Okami on getting out of his bad job, I wish him the best of luck with the new one he gets. Thank goodness my bosses have never treated me like that, hopefully they never will. :)

Warpmind: Security Guard is a decent job, and IMO, you'd probably be good at it. To answer your questions, we don't have too many requirements for our employees to get on the payroll. They have to appear initially reliable, sensible, and so on, but my boss has been fooled many times, resulting in mistakes that must be corrected. <sigh> Sadism and cruelty on the job is not tolerated at all, if Abel finds out about any of it the officer who did it gets a very stern reprimand and is then watched closely. We tag the problem people quickly once we're made aware of them. Unfortunately, they try to get away with a lot. I report whatever I spot for everyone's good. <sigh> I wish it would stop happening. Oh well.

Nadia: Happy Belated Thanksgiving, glad you had such a good one. A full belly and well-spent time with family are the rewards that holiday is supposed to provide. Congrats also on getting your work published, it's nice to see your life looking up a bit. My condolences on the loss of your mother to breast cancer, it's good to see she meant so much to you even if it's so sad she's gone. <sigh> You can take heart that she's definitely watching from heaven, and you'll always have your memories of her to guide your way. :) <hugs> You are definitely very right in your comments about memories.

SOROW: Your mother needs some serious reprimanding. Jesus! <shakes head> My condolences on what happened at the game. It's good that you know the reason for her behavior now, but like you I can not understand what your mom's deal is. Glad your dad is at least on your side and helping you get through this. <sighs> Hopefully soon the problem will be eased or go away. I'll keep praying. Good luck. <grimaces at having to wish it, gives hugs>

Winterwolf: Thanks very much for the encouragement, it was needed in a major way. Made me feel great too. Hope you are able to continue helping people all your life, it's one thing you'll never regret IMO. Just like doing the right thing. Good luck with your huge workload, hope it soon eases and has good results for you. <grin>

Gside: Thanks for the good luck wishes, I'll take them to heart. :)

Tim P: Good words on overreacting. I agree with you on every point. Sir Winston was very right when he said that if one trades freedom for security, they'll soon find they have neither. <sigh>

Jaden: Farewell, hope to be saying welcome back in a couple weeks. Once again, good luck in Korea and be careful. Hope you have good experiences and stay safe.

DPH: That sounds like incompetent management alright. <shakes head> Look at it this way, even with little work you'll still get paid, right? :) Good luck, hope the situation is soon fixed. <crosses fingers>

Niamhgold: Congrats on the good fall break, and on getting all the work done that you did. Bet it was a hassle when you had it and now it's good to have it gone, right? :) Glad you're also having nice weather right now. Still looking forward to your next fanfic when it comes out.

Mary: Your mother really needs to take a chill pill. What is her deal? <shakes head> Your food service instructor bugs me too, hope there's somebody you can complain to him about it besides us. <growls> Kit's already given you the best advice on both these situations I could, hope you take it. And that you soon get out of that bad situations and are able to live in a place where the people respect you for who you are and treat you accordingly. And not just hang out in one. <grin> Good luck. <hugs> Kit and I thought you were Native American because of what you said about them, sorry for the mistake. My Cherokee ancestors were in the early 1800s, but my Seminole ones were in the 1700s also, I think.

Guandalug: Like Kit said, glad you're helping Chris recode the archive. Keep up the good work, congrats on what you've accomplished so far. I'll get my stuff backed up soon as I have the time, hope I have a while. The way things are going right now…<grimace> I'll get it done, don't worry. Thanks to you, Firestorm, and Chris for the reminders. Good luck accomplishing your tasks.

Jenna: Looking forward to that piece and fanfic, thanks for letting us know they were on the way. :)

Lynati, Ghost, King Snarf, Mohammed, etc.: Welcome newcomers! New friends hopefully. Hope you all will enjoy hanging out here for a long time to come.

Archwolf: Welcome back. Hope you can post regularly again now. Good luck with the RL troubles in your life. Please do let Kit and me know soon if you can if it's okay for us to play around with your character in the RP, and whether you want us clearing the plans we make involving him with you first. :)

**PENDRAGON SPOILERS**
Good job on this week's episode, TGS Staff. The development on Jennifer was nice, good pic of her too. Also enjoyed the development on Arthur and that on Morgana (nice plot twist making her the Connection), and the Merlin-Mary relationship progress. Hope they make up soon. Good dialogue all throughout the ep, and nice plot twists too. Especially liked those involving Duval, who also had good development. Elaine's relationship with Arthur I can now regard as a good story in the making. :) Duval's identity I can understand too, I've enjoyed reading all the speculation about it. I'm eager to see how things play out. :) Looking forward to more intriguing developments on other characters next week too, hope for more on Elaine in particular. All in all, 9/10 on this ep. My kudos especially to the editors and the outline people for a great job on a plot that covered all the characters and made sense without getting too long. Can hardly wait for Part 2!
**THESE SPOILERS END**

Emmabu: Hope to get your next question soon, I now may have time to answer it. <grin> Thanks again for the job-related encouragement. We do indeed have required tests for our officers, but Abel really needs people right now so if they seem to fulfill the requirements I mentioned to Warpmind above, he hires them immediately. <sighs> And he is thankfully learning from his mistakes as time goes on. It appears so anyway. <sighs> At least we're not as bad as the company that had our job before us was. Their officers were pretty much all lazy unreliable sons-of-bitches and didn't do their jobs well at all. Not only that, the officers of the company often didn't get paid on time and their checks would bounce when they did get paid, or so I've heard. Very shady. <grimace> That company's out of business now, as far as I know. Once more, thanks for the good luck wishes and the prayers. Hope they accomplish what they're supposed to. <fingers crossed> Congrats on the good test grades, my condolences on the bad.

Abortion Issues: I share Gunjack's opinions on giving children who survive them full civil rights. IMO, it would be euthanasia to kill those kids. Imagining the pain they've already experienced is bad enough, to think they'll have to live with more…<shakes head> The condition Kyryn mentioned saddens me too, I'm of the opinion that those kids with it are not sentient in any sense of the word. Unfortunately. <sigh> Oh well, this issue is not really mine to worry about. Just hope the politicians are someday able to get their heads screwed on straight about it. :(

**BUFFY, ANGEL SPOILERS**
Liked both episodes of these shows that came on Tuesday night, even though I didn't get the time to watch them till the next morning due to a co-worker's brakes failing. <sigh> Hope he gets those fixed soon, I'll ask Abel about it tomorrow. The Riley, Spike, and Willow development in the Buffy ep was great, and the Xander development was of course even better. Loved all the surprise plot twists in the ep, and in particular the take Whedon did on doppelgangers in it. Also liked the villain, even if his character did seem a little cliched. The dialogue was likewise great all throughout, and there was a good plot. The Anya bits were entertaining also, and hilarious. :) Wish we'd seen more of Dawn and Tara, but that's my only gripe. Looking forward to more Buffy-Riley development next week, hope the issue of whether or not she really loves him or ever can gets resolved. It made me feel really sad when I heard Riley make the acknowledgement of how he thinks Buffy feels for him. And it seems like he's right too. <sigh> Now don't get me wrong, I don't entirely like Riley that much, but now he can be given my sympathies at least. <shakes head> Hope I don't have to keep them on him for long.

As for Angel, it too had a great episode this week. The development on Cordelia and Gunn was quite well-written and nicely acted out too. On both their parts. Enjoyed the dialogue between them, especially where Gunn's losing his temper too often with people was concerned. Phantom Dennis had another great joke involving him, and Wesley had nice comedic bits also. Really liked what was done with Angel, the dreams he had were spooky as heck. Nice cinematography in them also, and good acting and scripting of the scenes. I'll be very eager to see how this plot develops, it's good to see it's gonna be going on for a while. Hope more attention will be paid to developing Angel and Darla's characters as things progress, am confident it will. Also really enjoyed the surprise plot twists in this week's episode, and the villain, who made a good foil for Gunn as well as a menacing figure. Hope they keep up the great work.
**SPOILERS OVER**

'60s Batman: I enjoy that show because of its campiness, believe it or not. Whenever I need great superhero-related laughs, it's the thing to watch. Has good cliffhangers and fight scenes too, IMO. Pity no more new episodes are getting made.

Stephen: Glad your job search is going well, thanks for keeping us up to date on it. I wish you continued good luck.

Wilek: Welcome back once again. Thanks for your condolences. Like I told Kyryn, better late than never. :) Thanks for the encouragement too, it's good to see Kit and I aren't the only ones amazed by all the problems going on at my job, and relieved that they're in a period of easing. <fingers crossed>

XenaTrek: I missed you. Welcome back! Condolences on the tire blowout. And condolences also, as well as a moment of silence, on the loss of your stepgrandmother. <sighs heavily> At least she died knowing who she was, she's left you many many good memories, and her suffering's been eased now. Bet she's enjoying heaven too. :)

<moment of silence also for the lost crew members of the Cole> This situation scares the heck out of me too, especially after reading what Coyote said about the declaration that Palestinian youth made. <growls> There is WAY too much insanity in the Middle East.

Lexy: And it sounds like whatever insanity isn't there probably resides on your campus. <sighs> Congrats on getting out of that awful class. Like Kit said, I hope you can complain to the department dean about what made you drop it and be paid the right amount of attention. That lousy self-absorbed excuse for a professor of the course really needs to be shown the truths and facts of life. Pity Kit and I can't be the ones to do it. <grimace> In any case, congratulations, hope your school life is much easier now. And a big WB to the CR.

Shadowrider: Hey friend! Welcome back, even if it's brief. Things have been going up and down for Kit and me recently. Check the archives and you'll hear about all my job troubles, as well as the saddening loss of the man who was very much my mentor on the job. I'm only barely over that latter thing by now. Hope that things are going well for you, thanks for stopping in. Here's some hugs we owe you. <gives them out>

Jannie: Very good points on guns. I wish more people would use them responsibly so such reminders did not have to be made. :(

DPH: Glad things are progressing well with getting the accident settled. I can't really say if your recent speculation about it holds water or not, maybe so. <shrugs> Good luck getting things resolved eventually, however long it takes.

And that's all I have to post tonight. Must go now, and sleep to relieve splitting headache. Hopefully it will be gone in the morning, it was thankfully my only bit of bad luck today. Hope that all of you had similarly small amounts, or smaller. Hugs to all who need them, and later!

**RESUME RP- RAVENS' SAGA**

In Thailog's secret base, the clone gargoyle is sitting in front of a viewscreen smiling at the person displayed on it. "Good to see you again, Asil," he says. "I had thought you were dead." "You thought wrong," Asil laughs in reply. "It takes a lot more than a few weeks in some dingy hellhole to kill me. It is good to be back, fighting on your side once again." "Yes," Thailog nods. "It is good to have you back, and helping Nipon in Atlanta. What have you discovered so far?" "Admiral Nipon is preparing the report on that right now," Asil answers. "Let me go see if he's done." Thailog suppresses a grimace as she gets up and walks off, then turns to face the door of his room as Stephen Franks walks in smiling. "Security system's back online, sir," he salutes. "The Texas Tech boy, the Aggie bitch, and I were bogged down in coding when suddenly it all just went right somehow. We don't know how, but it did. It's working now." "Perhaps our antivirus programs finally kicked in," Thailog shrugs. "Thank you for delivering this good news. The intruders?" "I'll check on the situation with them, sir," Franks says. "They should be dead." "See that they are!" Thailog snaps as he leaves, grabbing his communicator. "Dahak, have you found Gar yet?" "No my lord," the evil fay answers. "Still looking." "Hurry and find him," Thailog commands. "Give him proper reprimand when you do. As the only one of my allies who can match Gar in magical power, you are best disposed to do that." "Yes," Dahak agrees. "I shall." "Good," Thailog nods, then looks over at a patch of shadows standing in the room's corner. "You wish something of me, Master?" Shadow Wolf inquires. "Go help Dahak find Gar," Thailog orders. "Then look for the intruders and if they're still alive...." He leaves the sentence unfinished. "It shall be done," Shadow Wolf declares, sneaking off. As Thailog turns back to the viewscreen, the wave of order Xothux created continues to spread through and rearrange the layout of the base.

The display changes to the Mall of America's food court, where thousands of shoppers and employees are fleeing and screaming as the gang of losers Pastor John gathered attacks the Ravens. Mall security guards are rushing towards the food court with drawn weapons, but they are met by Githyanki warriors armed with AK-47s and swords who quickly cut them down. "Keep the mall sealed off!" Pastor John is saying into a magical globe as he observes his minions. "Let no one escape conscious!" "I have set up a stun cloud effect to knock out anyone who steps out any of the doors," Galante replies from outside. "Should it not work on anyone, the people we have out here will handle it." "Excellent," John smiles. "Lady Synatia will be pleased. Geburah, are you and your associate ready on the roof?" "We shall drop down on the cleric Orion Sanders shortly," the cornugon replies from his position at the food court's skylight, chuckling as Tanith, who is crouched beside him, licks her sword in preparation. "Want to see him and the others thin out their initial opposition first." "Remember they're all expendable," John replies, frowning as he suddenly notices one of the people who he had sent to face the Ravens is not attacking them. "You! Come here!" "Sir?" Greg Williams inquires, dashing over. "Why are you not doing battle with the Ravens?" the demonic former street preacher asks with a growl. "I'm scared of them, man," Greg shrugs. "I'm not a fighter. Better for me to watch the people who are." "You better turn into a fighter now," John clenches his fists, his eyes widening. "Turn or Burn!" "Hey, no way, man," Greg chuckles nonchalantly. "They're gonna die anyway, I don't need to do anything. Don't know how to anyway. I'm gonna just watch. That's okay, right?" He stops, seeing the hellfire in John's eyes and on his fingertips. "Uh, wait, I…" His words are cut off with a huge scream of pain as John blasts him to ashes with a wave of his hand. "Useless insolent lazy sinner," John mutters. "And he fooled me into thinking he was capable too." "Bet you're not the first person he fooled into thinking that," Jerry Bennet chuckles, appearing next to John in a puff of black smoke. "Good you took care of him." "Right," John agrees, looking over at the Ravens. "Ready to help me get their attention?" Jerry nods and laughs. "They're gonna smell what this vrock is cooking." With that, he assumes his vulture-demon form and draws his glaive. John whistles and the big black hellhound he has been using to track the Ravens rushes to his side yipping. "Let's go," John says, and Jerry nods. They start heading towards the Ravens' battle as the screen goes blank.

Oh well, must have gotten the cursor on submit then pressed space. Here's what little that I didn't get to

Mary Flanders> <<I have Cherokee ancestor from the 1700's>>: According to family legend, both sides of my family claim a native ancestor. Supposedly making me 3/32. The rest is is .25 Ukranian, and approximately 3/8 each French and English.

Fire Storm> May you and your wallet have a rapid recovery.

XenaTrek> You have my condolences.

Ghost> <<people who were educated beyond their intelligence>>: What a sad, sad fate for me.

Shadowrider> Gret to see you again. Shoot down any flying things yet?

Nadia> And some condolences to you too. For it appears that you still need them.

Warpmind> This may interest you: The king of Sweeden recently awarded a Rutgers professors the L. M. Ecicsson International Prize in Communications. Further proof that your neighbors are idiots.
<<In other words, you're not the first to do this...>>: Over here. But I think mine was Warpmind/Winterwolf.
<<there's WAY more cheesy music out there that you can ever hope to post>>: I do hape that at least some of my music is actually good. But then, that might explain my tastes.

Calíope> Do you know that you've gotten me to remember that an i accent aigu is Alt-0237?
<<I dont drink sopa pop>>: Right, as I said, the caffiene syrup.
<<Well, at least it works, your getting your anime>>: But there are problems. Lower (but still partially recognizeable) resolutions. Relying on the kindness of others to digitize and share items. Slow transfer speeds. Needing to go to lower bandwidth for certain files (and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern either). Would you believe that so far, I have over two gigs worth of Ranma so far. And that 300Meg fansub of Mononoke Hime? I'm rather happy I decided to go for that burner.

Mrs. Morgan> <<the Women's Studies building (a dinky converted house on campus)>>: Just imagine what happens when they give them an entire campus. Though there was a nice editorial in the Targum today (yesterday) entitled "Feminism is more than unshaved legs: A short skirt means independence just the same." However, it was written by a poli. sci. major...

*** BUFFY SPOILERS ***

I enjoyed this weeks episode for a lot of reasons. I was quite glad that we didn't have another evil Doppleganger, and it's nice to see Xander doing better for himself.

Thoth, I liked him. At last we're back to the basics. The demon is wearing cool robes. Not like those stupid Redneck demons that we saw last season. Thoth dressed kind of like Darth Maul.

Buffy doesn't love Riley. I personally dislike Backstreet Riley, so hopefully he'll be gone soon. And it's nice to see that things aren't ideal.

And finally Spike. The scene with him in the junkyard was fun. But I've noticed that people are calling the scene where he kicks the manaquin he dubbed 'Slayer' was comedic where it was 100% serious. Do any of you realise what Spike is doing? He's preparing himself so that he will eventually be able to overide the chip in his head. He's preparing himself to mentally associate Buffy with the manaquin so he can kill her. Mind over matter. THis should be interesting.

*** END BUFFY SPOILERS ***

To all who are experiencing "Babylon 5" for the first time. I'm glad you're enjoying it. Stick with it, you've seen nothing so far. Except maybe for today... a hint of things to come. Well continue watching the greatest Sci-Fi series ever. Star Trek's got nothing on Babylon 5.
I was also waiting to see everyone's reaction to the revelation of Duval's identity. Sorry if we disappointed a few of you. But you were all surprised which is good.

And who ever said that the Grail is what made Duval immortal?

**WARNING: ACCIDENT RELATED**
I was thinking somehow on my way home. I was behind a car that was behind a truck. I noticed that there was NO way for tell to me how close they were. Then, a scenario popped up in my head. What if I came to a complete stop (without hitting the vehicle in front of me) before the vehicle in front of me did? From the point of the vehicle behind me, it might look like I hit the vehicle in front of me. Oops, there blows the viewpoint of the person behind me. Am I being perfectly logical on this or am I letting my emotions take over?
**END ACCIDENT RELATED**

**SANITY-INCREASING DEVICE**
How far into the future to find a device to increase sanity? Before we can say how far, we have to take into account certain assumptions: 1) Aliens will not give us the device; 2) Aliens will not invade the planet, thus slowing down the progress of building such a device; 3) Someone today is working on a such a device and someone will always be working on such a device until it is invented; 4)Mankind is not exterminated. Given these assumptions, I would almost certainly conclude such a device should be in existance within 10,000+ years. However, you forgot three problems: how to know what such a device would look like, and where it will be, and how many such devices will be in existance. While you are at it, bring back a replicator so we can mass produce sanity-increasing devices. Heck, we might make the existance of sanity-increasing devices, a temporal paradox. The question is then asked, Have we in the future brought back a replicator and sanity-increasing devices? if the answer is yes, then finding the sanity-increasing device and replicator should be easy. Who needs the chronostone anyways because after the next BFTS RP battle, seemingly almost nothing will be impossible for DPH?
**END SANITY INCREASING DEVICE**

**Pain rant**
I do not know. Right now, there might be enough anger and frustration within me to probably send DC into space on a collision course with the sun. It is frustrating not being able to walk around freely and it makes me angry when I think about the #$@!%*@&*@ false police report that has screwed me up.
**END PAIN RANT**

no bfts rp from me this weekend. I am off this weekend and I have to catch up on the BFTS RP archive.

**DPH shifts into WEEKEND MODE and notices his jar of sanity is still inside his pocket when he leaves the room through a portal.**

In light of the recent discussion concerning gun control... I just received this in an email ;)

Gun Refresher Course

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3. Colt : The original point and click interface.
4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
7. Free men do not ask permission to bear arms.
8. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
10. The United States Constitution (c) 1789. All Rights Reserved.
11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
12. The Second Amendment is in place in case they ignore the others.
13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
14. Guns only have two enemies: Rust and Politicians.
15. Know guns, know peace. No guns, no peace.
16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
17. 911 - government sponsored Dial a Prayer.
18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
19. Criminals love gun control - it makes their jobs safer.
20. If Guns cause Crime, then Matches cause Arson.
21. Only a government that is afraid of it's citizens tries to control them.
22. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.
23. Enforce the "gun control laws" in place, don't make more.
24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
25. The American Revolution would never have happened if the colonists had submitted to Gun Control Laws.

Lexy > oh, ag ... I can't bear teachers like that (heck, any people like that, for that matter). I once had a Latin class that was held in the Women's Studies building (a dinky converted house on campus). I dreaded going there; the very atmosphere seemed poison. The guys in the class were even more skittish, rushing in and out like hunted things. That hostile mindset is one I've never understood.

James> lol not really, I dont drink sopa pop, I'm just happy on life! :P

Winterwolf> <<Will have to plan out fun all weekend long!>> LOL Now all I need is to actualy GO there! Minor detail!? no? :P <<You'd be the best character for sure! I can see you whacking them upside the head!>> LOL Exactly what I had in mind!!! Maybe I should audition, huh? :P

Gside> Well, at least it works, your getting your anime! << I try, but my main downfall is that I'm rather cheap>> lol dont worry, I'm a broke @$$ monkey too, as much as I LOVE anmie, I dont own a single video, I rent them, $1.50 for 3 days + I rent them with my room mate, so its only half of that per video. I do buy Manga tho, just one series, Inu-Yasha, its by the same author as Ranma, and its rumored that the anime version will be out soon! Yey! :P

Late but sure BUFFY/ANGEL stuff>
Well, The buffy ep was good! I never much liked Riley to begin with and I still dont, but the fact that he actualy noticed he was just a Boy toy there gave none existing points to his perceptivness in my view. Xander was great, as usual, dubbly great actualy ;) I cant get over the snoopy dance!!! lol As for Angel, I loved the whole "medly" discucion at the begining of the ep, too bad we couldnt witness his performance :P Besides that, I'm glad they expanded on Gunn, I like him, and Wesly's little picup line to Angel with the whole helmet gig was hilarious :P

Ok! Gotta go, I'll be seein' yas!!! *HUGZ all and skips on out*

Ah, pre-dipped in cognac... sweetness galore. ]:) Watch out, kids; the addiction is stronger than that of heroin. Or heroines, but that's another issue altogether... ;)

DPH: Who here plans ahead? Not me; that's for sure... far too often I've wound up in a situation with no contingency plans... so better not to plan and instead go with the flow... remember MacGyver. ;)

James Birdsong: *Wilek* de InzanE? Uh, dude... you're mixing us up. I'm a human, he's a gargoyle; HOW MANY CAN MAKE THAT MISTAKE ANYWAY??? (In other words, you're not the first to do this...)

Oh, well, I hear there's a rather unusual astronomical conjunction happening tonight... Full moon, and... was it Jupiter and Saturn? At least two planets close to the moon, supposedly in an extremely positive astrological conjunction... I'll be stargazing tonight, methinks. :)

Lexy: So you'll be at the Gathering, too? Fun... looking even more forward to it now. :) Oh, and that teacher you ranted about... sounds frighteningly familiar. Do you know if she incidentally has kin in Norway? :|

Lynati: I'd love to see it in TGS Gargoyles, but in my ficverse? Unfortunately, that'd probably be a bit difficult, since Matt's turned out to be a reincarnated Arthurian knight, and follows Arthur now... :| (If you're interested, my fics *are* in the archive...)

Kit: If it's any comfort, I'm not likely to use RU-486, ever, either. Though, since I am equipped with one of those cute little Y chromosomes, I guess that generally goes without saying, anyway... ;) Oh, and that money? I got that two weeks ago... that was what the ruckus was about then. :) Over 6400$ in one single transfer - I'm sure you can imagine my surprise when I requested to hear my account balance... at least I'm certain to get to G2001, if nothing else. :)

Gside: Ah, amigo, there's WAY more cheesy music out there that you can ever hope to post, with more being made every day. Just stay off Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, and you'll do just fine. ;) Oh, and I really recommended "Eskimo" to Gunjack Valentine? Hmmm... *Scritches head* musta been those parody bits at the end, then... :|

XenaTrek: Condolances for your step-granny. May you find rest in the knowledge that she's probably in a better place now...

Ghost: Hmmm... *maybe* the news article wasn't altogether accurate. (Then again, maybe it was, but just old - I think it was around the time the *first* movie arrived...)

Hail thee, Shadowrider! And best of luck on thy journey. :) And you come back in one piece, y'hear? ;)

Well, that oughtta do it... later, gang.

This is for XenaTrek and any others here who have lost,
I didn't want to email you because you don't know me and I didn't want to invade your privacy...
**gives great big hugs and a string of one hundred and eight white paper cranes**
I understand a little of what you are feeling. I lost my mum to breast cancer in February of last year. She died at home, in her own bed. She was in a lot of pain but had so much morphine in her body that I don't think she felt too much. The hardest part was that the cancer had spread to her brain. When dad finally called me up at university and asked if I wanted to come home because she only had a few more days.. I don't even know if she recognized me. Maybe for an instant, I would like to think that she did. She stayed at home, we gave her the medicine, she was suffering so much. I went out to Karate the night she died, and knew in the car on the way that she was going to die that night. In the middle of class, the phone rang and I drove home. I went straight upstairs and about a minute after I got there, she died, in mine and my father's arms.
I don't know if I believe in souls but... I felt something. It was the strangest thing I have ever witnessed.
I didn't cry, I have only cried once, for about five minutes about a month ago. I miss her, though. I wear her knitted scarf almost every day, even when it doesn't match my army pants... I think about her all the time. In my dreams, though, she is always shouting at me for one thing or another, and that upsets me. Most of the time, I feel as though my life takes place in the third person, and all I am is the audience, watching myself. I am afraid to be touched, I realize that maybe this is partly because I am afraid I will wake up, and my walls of self-preservation will crumble.
I have only one grandparent left. I never knew either of my grandfathers. I remember my father's mum, sitting on a pebbly beach by the ocean... even though I was only three months old at the time. I remember my mum's dad's shoes lying my the door, even though he was long since dead before I was born.
That's what memories sre for. Everyone we know and everyone we never meet has to die sometime, but the memories we have of them are the things that count. People grieve over the loss of the physical but that is so fragile and weak... our minds are so much stronger than our bodies, I think.
Keep the memory close. Sometimes I think I don't even remember what my mum's voice sounded like, but that's not what matters. No matter how many of the outer layers fall away, you will still always have a pure memory of the core of the person you love. That is what keeps me going, anyway:)
I love you :)

Just a couple comments on things I've seen in the room...

Warpmind. I saw Adam West last Thanksgiving weekend at a comic convention in town. (Columbus) He looked just fine to me. A few pounds heavier than his "Batman" days, but still in good shape. His voice hasn't changed a bit though.

DPH: How to distinguish between Intelligence and Education. Most IQ tests I have seen/taken involve a lot of non-numerical pattern analysis. The theory is that pattern recognition is independant of education. I will admit is is very difficult to make an IQ test "acultural". A certain basic level of literacy is inherent in most IQ tests, but there are ways to determine intelligence without reading being required. (Rats running a maze comes to mind.)

I have known many people who were educated beyond their intelligence. They are still idiots no matter how many degrees they possess.

Spoke to my mom about my step-grandmother. She did recall people earlier this week, and was asking for her three children... (my stepfather and his 2 sisters). She was extremely weak, and had to be fed thru tubes and whatnot. Like Coyote's grandmother, my step grandmother has intiated a 'living will' (at least verbally) and does not want to be on machines to keep her alive... nor does she want to be sent to a home. She died between 130 and 2 PM on route to a Hospice in which she was really looking forward to it. Once they have arrived to the place, she looked around, and went to sleep w/o waking up. She is survived by her 3 children, and 3 grandsons from Dirck's first marriage... and of course myself, my brother and my mom are part of the family. She also didn't want to be 'displayed'... so a viewing and funeral won't be taken place... instead, she is to be cremated and burried with her husband. A memorial service will take place later in the week or the next. Coyote... if you and your mom wants to send flowers... just send it to the store... I'll email you the address.

The worst has arrived yesterday afternoon... my step-father's mother has had a lot of trouble with her heath in the last year... first acute diabeties, altimzer (sp??), artritis (sp?), failing lungs, failing liver, and finally amesia. In my heart, I believe she thinks she passed away alone among strangers in Lansing, MI, I've come to love her as my own grandmother when she entered my mom, brother and mine lives in 1991... she will be missed.

Coyote, I'll send you the address so you and your mom can send Dirck and his sisters a card.

Hi everyone! :)

*** UPDATE ***

It's been awhile but the CR archive has finally been updated. Did so a few hours ago, but couldn't connect to the net to post the news here.

Click my name's link to get to the 2000 archive page.

The index page for CR information now includes dates of when the sections were last updated. Hopefully this will be of some use.

FS and I have been very busy lately. But we'll, hopefully, be getting the CR coding done within the next few days. So keep your fingers crossed.

*** END UPDATE ***

Coyote: BIG HUGS to you for all your troubles. Let's hope the years to follow will be kinder ones. *HUGS* :)

Fire Storm's most troublesome wisdom tooth MAJORLY broke just a few hours ago. Now he's got to call off work and find an emergency dental surgeon. Hopefully we'll be able to find one soon and that it will be reasonably priced (fyi, he doesn't have dental insurance). (And that he won't get into trouble with his bosses.) *Crosses fingers*

Browsed the CR. Not much else to say at this time.

TTYL. :)

Gunjack> <<I spent most of the day reading netcomics>>: I spend most of every day doing that. Except for nights before labs and when principles homework is due.
<<and roasting weenies on Counterstrike>>: Cna't say I do that on a regular basis, though I have gotten back into my emulators (poor ignored DII). I finally gave up on FFIV Hardtype: couln't get past waterboy.
<<I can't stand skim... Gimme whole>>: In a feeble effort to be somewhat healthy, I go with one of the percents.
<<You have a Gaming Fez?>>: No, mine is much, much better. I had it well before Skull got his gaming hat. I don't think any animals died to make any fezes. And it is nice and warm in winter. But I really have only worn it while being supergeek in Goldeneye. If you want a description, think fur lined leather bombing hat. With earflaps. I love it.
<<You have now COMPLETELY lost me>>: I tend to do that a lot. But I was listening to the Motorcycle Song by Arlo Guthrie at the time (with the explanation of the pickle). I just randomly felt like sharing some of the lyrics. Which happen to be (approximately phonetically) "I don't want a pickle/I just want to ride my motorsickle/And I don't want a tickle/I just want to ride my motorsickle/And I don't want to die/And IIIIII just want to ride my motorcy/.....cle." Or maybe I shouldn't have said that, and made you wait for the mp3 (especially since Alice's Restaurant wouldn't fit in my account).
<<thanks for the Lerher music, and for "Eskimo">>: You are quite welcome. I do need to make some contribution to the fandom, even if it is the illegeal distribution of copyrighted music.

Wilek> <<someone who has hobbies like Greek ostrich wrestling and Indonesian octopus porn>>: Oh, so you've met Garret Glick? (Note: Mr. Glick is an editor for the Medium, an obscene publication at Rutgers, who tends to write articles on such topics as clown wig, shortish mexican people, and dwarfs)
<<Well naked people have little or no influence on society anyhow>>: Are you saying I should put my clothes back on?
<<The MP3 can be acquired elsewhere>>: Like me, when I get in the mood. But that may not happen for another couple months, so you're probably better off searching on your own.
<<There is a Cid in VIII>>: Good. I have always liked the Cids. Perhaps it's because they've been the engineers. Well, yes, it is, but who doesn't love an engineer. Besides the rest of the world, I mean.
<<What, are you people smoking me in a bong?>>: Noh, just scarfing on the way between classes. You did just compare yourself to twinkies, after all.
<<Never mind, don't think I wanna know>>: You're going to find out anyway. Leda was a Greek maiden. Zeus was Zeus. Zeus decided to take the form of a swan and then take Leda. From this pairing came Helen (that Helen) and Pollux. Their twins, Clytemnestra and Castor came from her husband. The end result is that there are a large number of bestiality paintings out there, and one well renouned poem. And a reference in HHGtG, in the form of a statue of Leda and the Octopus.

XenaTrek> <<anyone miss me?>>: Who doesn't?

Oops, I just noticed that Dance Like You Want to Win could just as well be conducted in waltz time. I'm not really sure which one it would be, because there's a really heavy downbeat every other measure, if it's in waltz. I can't decide which one it really is.

Fire Storm> <<The name of my company. No, the letters don't mean anything>>: Ahh. Um. Just thought they sounded neat in that order?
<<By hue, if I am correct. (Yellows together, reds together, etc)>>: Well, yeah. But why don't the option values line up with that?
<<It was a short story/prohpecy>>: The prophesy sounds like fun. And that would be a neat way to record a prophesy, no?
<<Where there any MP3's between 13 questions and Tom Lehrer?>>: The order I put them in should be in CR.pls I know Lehrer was late (and this one was pushed back because of that (and to line up an event)). Did I miss an update?
<<Thank you for pointing someone in right direction>>: Not a problem. Not only is it easier to type and remember and gets you to the archive, but it leads you to a bunch of other resources.

Warpmind> <<the guy who played Batman>>: Adam West (putting on the Batman cowl, and everyone knows what time it is...).
<<You're afraid you won't live your music choices down?>>: No, I hear that the precedent set by my previous choices will put my future choices to shame.
<<Gunjack: I said you'd love "Eskimo"?>>: I think you commended Eskimo to Gunjack, and Pigeons to Wilek.

DPH> <<How does one measure intelligence instead of measuring education?>>: You test reasoning skills instead of accumulated knowledge.

Niamhgold> <<he's a great change from the solely-artist guys
around here>>: Apparently you aren't in the rest of the world (see above).
<<I'm revolting against the strict guidelines of the contextual essay I just turned in>>: That just gave me a bad flashback to expos. (see http://www.eden.rutgers.edu/~tfarrell/long_quotes.shtml near the bottom)

Lexy> <<It will focus on possible school cover ups>>: Like the supercollider under SERC? And they recently planted trees to try and cover one of the vents.
<<what I was really suffering through was "Feminists 101">>: Which is why I am an engineer. Remember: Women's Studies is not a real major, and Political Science doesn't deserve any respect (unless it is a song by Randy Newman). We do repetedly mock poli sci majors here.

Lynati> <<no specialities>>: Ah. But that's no fun.

Emambu> <<when you consider the fact that the average grade was a 50%>>: Which means that your grade will be rounded up to something rather good.

For my mp3 selection today, I have decided on the theme from the Prisoner. Can anyone tell me why? I quite like it just as a piece of music. Too bad I never saw more than half a minute of the series.

Na zdorov'ya.

I really should have started a responce earlier tonight, as it's now too late to really reply... But I wanted to hit something I meant to reply to yesterday.

Entity><<I'd say an anecephalite is NOT a human being. It's only technically alive. If souls exist, its would either not be there, or be "unactivated.">> I think I'd have to agree with you. Lacking a conscousness or a chance of developing one, what is left to call human? "I think, therefore I am".

Real post tommorrow...

Peace, love dope.

Emmabu: Congrats on getting all the projects and tests done finally, even if some may not have gone well. :( I share your concerns expressed in the rant.

"rich" = "well-bred" in the RP below when describing Warren Walker's girlfriend. Sorry I missed that mistake in editing. <grimace>

*Emambu enters briefly*

Don't have too much time (due to the fact that I haven't had much sleep this week so I'm really tired), but I want to thank everyone who gave me their wishes during my mid-terms. Right now I'm in the eye of the storm so to speak which means I'll do a full post tomorrow. I got a 94% on my math exam, which helps my QPA. I also got a 65% on that computer science quiz that I was talking about ealier. Seems all the luck you guys gave me got deflected over to my math exam. It's not as bad as it looks though when you consider the fact that the average grade was a 50% (the highest score was a C+ I believe). I guess I should be thankful I passed. I also had two computer science programs due at midnight, and I hadn't gotten much work done on them until today (or yesterday I should say considering the time) because of the math exam and the space flight exam that I took yesterday. Anyway, at about 11:40pm I finally figured out the reason why my second program was compiling but not running (a curse on all 'while' loops), fixed it, and e-mailed the link to my professor with about 15 minutes to spare. Talk about threading the needle (of course if those programs hadn't been due in the midle of everything else I doubt I would have cut it that close). I found out about a half an hour ago that some people (also in the middle of exam week like me) didn't even get them done on time and now they're going to lose a lot of points for turning them in late. *looks at the accumulating post* I'm sorry, I'm ranting. However, it's better I do it now. Otherwise I'd had used the full length post as an excuse to ramble on for even longer. :)

Niamhgold: Thanks for the e-mail. I'll look at it some more tomorrow when I'm not half-asleep. The first one looked really good from what I saw though.

Sorry for the rant, but I'd been saving that up all week. :) Take care everyone,

*lynati bursts into room, barely noticing the rubber cement she leaves smeared on the draperies*

aayayayzaya! Marathon??
*wails*
But I don't get toon disney!! (or any channel, really...)
ALL of my tv taped episodes are pretty cruddy, too.
If someone can tape the marathon (yeah, i know it'll take 3 tapes at least) in GOOD QUALITY and mail it out to me, i will glad-no, Joyously- reimburse them.
(....if it's past episode 66 (i.e. third season), don't bother.)

*Lynati trots off in search of hot chocolate and sleep. She notices the construction paper stuck to her hand and decides to add a shower to that list.*

Begin Part 2!!

Mohammed: Nice to see Arabs around here in more than the RP. Hope you can find the info you want, and you enjoy this place. And you make friends. :)

Guandalug: Didn't know you were helping to clean up and recode the GFW fanfic archive, congrats on the good work you've done so far. Hope the big job is soon ended, I wish you continued good luck. :)

**BUFFY, ANGEL SPOILERS**
Excellent development on Xander in this week's Buffy episode. Seeing his two sides at odds and then working together was great, a lot better than the cliched demon doppelganger Xander story I was expecting. :) Anya's development was also nice, I liked the jokes she made and seeing her dealing with being human and mortal. Glad she's still getting used to it. :) Also enjoyed Willow's scenes and dialogue, her line about doing just fine with her evil twin brought a big smile to my face. Nice to see Giles working the magic shop too, and Spike was hilarious as always. Hope he soon gets more development and screen time. I also liked the depth added to the Buffy-Riley relationship in this ep, I liked his character well enough before but thought their relationship a bit too perfect and cliched, nice to see it's not so. <grimaces> Though I do also hope Buffy is able to love him and prove she does soon, maybe she can in next week's episode. Other than the seriously cliched and boring villain (he was menacing and looked like a demon, and had a nice plot, but those were the only good bits about him IMO) and lack of Dawn screentime (her reaction to the existence of two Xanders and their personalities would have been nice to see, given her crush on Xander. <sigh>), this ep was pretty much great. 8.5/10, thumbs up.

Angel was even better IMO. The dream sequences with him and Darla were nicely acted and scripted, and they gave me the shivers too. :) Can hardly wait to see where they go with them in upcoming episodes, I'm sure the development will be cool. Hope that soon we can see his reactions to them as well, this episode didn't really get into that much. :( But it did make up for that a lot with the other development and plot bits. Wesley's dialogue was funny, and his banter with Angel was great too. Especially enjoyed the pink helmet bit. It was nice to see Wes in leather again also. <grin> And of course I really appreciated the Cordelia-Gunn development. Nice to see the former having come so far from the shallow preppy type she was before, hope they continue to showcase it. Really liked her dialogue and use of Mace. Was also really nice to see Gunn's character fleshed out like it was, Whedon or whoever wrote this ep did a really good job on the banter between him and Cordelia and keeping them together till the end with surprise plot twists. The villain also made a good foil for Gunn and was very menacing. His shapeshifting was cool too. My favorite scene was the one where Gunn confessed to Cordy his feelings about what happened to his sister Alanna (who it's very nice to see was not just a one-episode throwaway character!) and why he's been acting the way he has. Hope he takes her advice and changes. Also hope to see more development with him and his gang as the season goes on. Maybe an ep where one of them gets arrested, and the best lawyer he can afford, the one he wants defending him, happens to work for Wolfram and Hart? That would be intriguing. :) Looking forward to some great action and visual effects in next week's episode, hopefully some more development on the Darla-Angel subplot too. And I hope that someday Phantom Dennis (whose bit this week I also liked a lot) is someday used as more than just comic relief again (he was in his first appearance, as I recall. Overall, 9/10, thumbs held high. Hope Whedon and Associates keep up the good work!
**SPOILERS OVER**

Stephen: Thanks for stopping in and giving us a status update. Glad that the job hunt is going well, hope you have continued good luck with it. Keeping my fingers crossed as long as you keep us informed. :)

Robby: Taxi had all those good actors and actresses in it and we missed it somehow? <blinks> This is quite surprising. Maybe I should stay over at Gubio's sometime and stay up watching Nick at Nite on his cable, see if it comes on. Your post on Taxi made it sound like it might be worth it. <smiles> $ Hmm, looks like Doug and I will have to write Brain being a driving instructor into our RPs with him and Pinky somehow. We don't mind, you had good bits with him in yours. Also nice seeing Lonny again, that was unexpected. Wonder if any of your characters will end up with the driving test guy who puts a cup of coffee on the dashboard and warns the student not to burn him or else. He was my favorite guy in License to Drive. :) $ I also agree with you on '60s Batman, it was bad in many ways, but still is good for laughs whenever I put eps of it in the VCR. The Simpsons spoof of it they did once was good too. ("Look, Radioactive Man, it's the most fiendishly diabolical villain of them all, The Scoutmaster!" "I see him, Fallout Boy." ROFL!)

Ghost: Welcome to you as well. Good comments on the Pendragon episode this week. I thought of that possibility of Duval too but it seems unlikely given all the hints we were shown before the revelation of his identity. <shrugs> We'll probably see the answer next week, I'll comment more then.

Nick: Welcome to you too. Hope you, Ghost, and all the newcomers enjoy this place.

Wilek: That stuff's pretty weird, glad we don't know anyone who likes it. <grimace> Thanks for once again stating your reasons for stopping the RPs, Doug and I understand though we still wish you'd do one now and then. <smiles> Hope you don't mind us using your characters now and then in our bits. Speaking of which….

Rodlox & Mecord: Excuse me for screaming, but HELLO?!!! ARE YOU GUYS OUT THERE?!!! I'm worried about you, and I'm not the only one! If you're only getting time to lurk, it's okay, but can you at least post a couple words sometime to let us know you're still alive and hanging out in here? Sheesh! :) I'm not just saying this because you both have characters in the RP who are involved in pretty tense situations right now, and Doug and I want a license to continue the plots surrounding them in your absence (which we're gonna keep trying to do, hope you don't mind). You're also our friends, and when your friends disappear without a trace and don't write or say anything, it gets worrisome. Very worrisome. Just thought I'd make you guys aware of that if you're still out there. Hope you can re-enter the room real soon.

Archwolf: Hope you'll soon get back into the RP too. Doug and I have some really interesting bits ahead planned for your character Shadow Wolf. Would you like us to share the plans with you first and check if they're okay? (We'd try doing the same with Rodlox and Mecord, but it's been so long since they posted last that we've lost their e-mails and Doug and I just don't have time to check the CR archives these days. <sigh>) Welcome back from me also, hope RL doesn't curb your posting too much.

Lexy: Welcome back to the CR, friend! <grins> Sounds like your school paper is way cooler than the one Elena works for here, hope it's online somewhere so I can read copies. Especially your conspiracy bits. :) I applaud your rant, and share your views on people like that professor. How in the hell do they ever get into academia? <shakes head> Congrats on dropping the class. Glad your workload's more intelligent and easier now. I've had bad professors, but never on that level. <grimace> Are you sure you don't want to send a copy of that rant to the dean of her department? If what you said in it is true, and the dean is the least bit intelligent, it might have good results. My pal Tom knew someone at Rice who got an engineering professor who didn't know his subject, practiced unfair grading and boring lecture style, had awful textbooks required that he knew the stores would refuse to buy back at the end of the semester, and other awful things (the guy is featured below in the RP, btw) to be denied tenure and fired after a full investigation was conducted by complaining to his department's dean. Tom would have done the same if he'd had the guts. Maybe you should muster them. :) Good luck with the classes you still have.

Abbie: Welcome and thanks for informing us of the upcoming Gargoyles marathon. I'll definitely get Gubio to set his VCR so we can catch up on the eps we Ravens are missing in our collection. Hope they get shown. <crosses fingers and grins>

That's about it for tonight, I am finally caught up again. Longest post I've ever written that I can recall too. Once again, I apologize for the delay and length of it. RL has kept me incredibly busy this week. At least I've turned in the paper now, so I can relax. Hope I did well on it, I'd appreciate your prayers. For Doug and me both. And of course I'll keep giving mine to all my friends in here who need them. :) Later everyone!!

**RESUME RP- RAVENS' SAGA, LONG ONE (note to Green Baron- we're gonna take your silence so far on the matter of the white Bronco as assent for our plans regarding it, which we told you of in reply e-mail. Please let us know immediately if you want us to do something else with it. Thanks.)**

In the Time-Warner Building in Atlanta, Ted Turner is glaring at Geoffrey Fieger across the desk. "What do you mean you haven't gotten her back yet?" he asks angrily. "I told you to get her back!" "The helicopter ran out of fuel before we could find the hideout of the people that rescued her, sir," Fieger replies, nervously fiddling with his new eyepatch. "We couldn't track them anymore. But don't worry. I've put some good people on the case. Your limo and Asil stick out like sore thumbs. We'll have them back real soon." "I want them now!" Turner slams his fist on the desk, hellfire burning in his eyes. "Go get them!" "Yes sir," Fieger nods, jumping up and running out the door. As Turner shakes his head, Steve Case walks in. "What is it?" Turner snarls at him. "Just wanted to give you some good news, sir," the CEO of AO-HELL says with a smile. "I bribed the appropriate people, and the EU should approve our merger now. Still not sure about the FTC." "The EU is good enough news for now," Turner shrugs, his expression brightening. "We'll worry about the FTC when the time comes. There's not much hurry now that Hinn's captured our most dangerous enemies, the Green Baron and his Catholic Schoolgirl Scouts." Case nods in agreement. "Should we tell Geraldine to stop training her Empowered Womyn Scouts?" "No," Turner shakes his head. "They might still come in handy. Especially if the people Hinn captured should escape. Everything is going fine right now, Steve. Well, everything except for Al's status in the polls. Can't you have your hackers work on that? He needs to win that election!" "We're doing our best, Ted," Case sighs. "Unfortunately the computer system that does this country's polls has excellent security. Relax, okay? Even if Al doesn't win, we'll get an idiot who's easily bribed." "I'd like to have someone who we know better," Turner retorts. "And a Democrat." "I know what you mean," Case nods, his expression brightening suddenly. "By the way, did you hear the guards found OJ's white Bronco in the parking garage?" "Oh?" Turner raises his eyebrows. "I forgot about that car. I suppose we can have it crushed and melted now that I took care of its owner." "Sir, no!" Case protests. "OJ's already modified it a lot. I put on a few more special gizmos of mine, and I can make it my own personal Death-SUV!!!" Turner drops his jaw at the eager expression on his associate's face. "We'll, uh…have to think about that!" Case grimaces. "Think already!"

The display changes to the Mall of America's food court, where the group of disreputable characters led by Gus and Holder have surrounded the Ravens' table and are now all looking at our heroes with glaring expressions of anger and hate. Several are also tapping weapons in their hands, ranging from clubs to lengths of wire to shotguns. "We're gonna get you, you bastards!" one big black man with a lead pipe declares, turning his eyes toward Boris. "Your dad dared to be a better plumber than me, and tell everyone he was when he was alive! Cancer may hav
