Spy Kids II > saw it last night with Becca and it was a lot of fun. Worth seeing if for no other reasons than Ricardo Montalban, the Sinbad-esque skeletons, and the creatures. I don't know if Ray Harryhausen would be proud or not, given the labor of love his claymation was. Lots of little in-jokes on other hit movies, and return appearances by Floop and Minion (as well as Bill Paxton as the theme park owner). Loads of previews, at least 8 and most of them looked awful (Pokemon 4ever ... that animation is just so crappy on the big screen) but we did get an HP preview (so I won my bet with Becca, hee hee!)

Hello, Comment Room!

I just wanted to drop by and say hi, since it has been such a long time, at least three years. I remember when I used to come in here and be insane beyond comprehension... ah, those were the days. Poor Goliath was terrified of me because I kept torturing him. [grins] Heck, everyone thought I was the most insane person in the comment room...

Well, to those that remember me (I'll be surprised if anyone does! :P) it's nice to see you again! To those I have not met, thank you for keeping this comment room alive for many years! I have not yet given up hope that new episodes of Gargoyles will come, someday, and I hope that you guys have not either! :)

Hello everyone, long time no see. I've been busy with work, mostly. My project got cancelled (3 weeks wasted) and I've been given the assignment to learn mathcad and do an analysis in the next 5 business days. No problem!

Today I finished the mathcad thing and started yet another analysis.

On the plus side, just 6.5 more days till I drive back to Los Angeles! Yes!

In other news, my dad bought a company yesterday. He was feeling rather flush. The bill gates of the binder industry, I was calling him. Of course, the reality is that now we're so close to broke its silly. My dad brushes it off, saying "the measure of how rich you are is not how much you have, but how much you owe". I guess that explains Worldcom, and Adelphia. Maybe I should ask him for something expensive. Anyway, I think its sooooo cool.

I don't think Wilek should a monopoly on stupid ebay items.

Here's a kicker: for $2,000,000 on ebay, you could buy a DIY Carpet Installation & Repair Business. One of the kickers is location: Clarksville, AR.

Here's the payment listed: $2 Mil. Plus 1/2 of 1% annual gross revenues. Young startup business. Growing daily. Asking Price will increase with volume. Will finance w/ 10% down @ 7% for 5 years. Seller is licensed Real Estate Broker.

I consider that item utterly stupid at that price.

On the other hand, I am concerned. I am hoping to make $800 off helping a guy sell his retail business on ebay for ~$80,000 (he called in a couple of auctioneers and asked them for the estimated value of his current inventory. The estimated value was ~$80,000.). What concerns me is I haven't seen any bids on ebay on a business for an amount greater than $20,000. Being a moralist I am concerned about this. Should this guy looking to sell his business somewhere else?

Yeah, that's right in the middle of the ocean. I'm on a lovely 3-day cruise with a few peeps on the way to Bahmas. pretty fun, ne? Ah, the Bahmas the land of fun,sun and scantily clad --*coughs.* Er beaches -_-;. This is a well deserved vacation to get away from writing fan-fiction, drawing and *coughs.* um, yeah. Besides I need to give the 'ole brain to rest,and what better chance to give it some resting then on a sunny island sipping Margaritas. ^_^

Hey, been a while, anyone notice, of course not, but that's ok.
Been working mostly, been coming in for peeks on what is going on but obviously not much, everyone is like me, working. Going back to school in a little more than a week. The good parst are the fun peopel to hang out with, the fast internet and I promised I'd stop by and see Gabe's apartment. The down side is it is school, (probably have to help my cousin, Camera, move in too.)
Other than that I have been doind art and writing, new story hopefully before I leave and I did some shading on some pieces for Mara. Should be nice.
Now, off to do some TGS art.

Ugh I wrenched my knee yesterday, and today I woke up with allergy problems. I was sneezing for a short while.

Saw the movie "Signs" last night. Kind of a tripy movie. A little wierd and maybe not the best movie these guys have made (Sixth Sense was their best), but it has a lot of suspense and is fairly scary. Even my wife was scared and she never gets scared in movies. She nearly ripped my arm off once or twice.

I hath returned. New Hampshire was mostly boring, Boston was better what with Faneuil Hall (and I heard a new story of my father's college days, no porcupines in this one, just a musk turtle). But when I got back, we discovered a major storm had ripped through the area (some suggest it was a tornado). Major power outages, 200+ year old tree crushed a third of a house on the end of our street. We've always been lucky with our power, but something bad happened with our cable, leaving me without a connection for a good bit. Enough about me, time for replies to people who used my name. **sighs** Well, I'm back in Arizona now ... after an absolutely *wonderful* trip to Michigan to spend some quality time with Coyote!!!!!! I had such an awesome time, and I really, really didn't want to leave ... oh, well. Hopefully I'll get to go back soon, and I only have about a year and a half left before I get my degree ... two years at the most ... then I'll be free, FREE!!!!

It was fun hangin' out with Firestorm and Lady Mystic for an evening too, even if it *was* the evening when everything went straight to hell on their house situation. Oh, well! They'll probably be missin' for a little while during their move ... but I did get to see their new house! It's definitely a project for Firestorm, but man, it'll be super nice when it's all done!! I have to wonder about the do-it-yourself-er that had to have built that place, though ... they put each and every light bulb in the basement on their own separate circuits, the ductwork looks like Boy Scout knots ... and that's just for starters. Ah, well ... ;)

Got to see lots of cute duckies and stuff in MI too! And got to go on a really, way cool boat ride in the St. Clair river, and even went over into Canadian waters ... it was awesome!!!!! So I guess I've been to Canada now ... how spiffy. ;) I'm still amazed at all the water around in Michigan ... it's quite breathtaking for someone who was born and raised in Arizona. :)

So, who starts school here pretty soon? I start up fall classes at the end of this month. Best of luck to anyone starting soon too!

I had this strange dream last night. In the dream we actually HAVE Toon Disney, although we didn't know it at the time. I grabbed the controller, the tv came on and the channel was Toon Disney.
"When did we get this?" The Boy asks.
"I dunno." Was my response. Well we saw what was coming up next.
"Oooh leave it!" Dad shouted So I was getting ready to sit back when the credits rolled.
"Aww poop" I said.
"What?" The boy asks.
"It's the Goliath Chronicles" Then I had to explain about Greg leaving then we saw the episode title
"Oh Its the Journey. This is the last episode Greg worked on."

Oh yes It's done my gargoyles site is done. I just need to tweak a few spelling problems scan some more gathering pics...but it is Mostly done......mostly.

Leo: "i" computers are limited to RAM upgrades and airport cards...officially. You can get at the hard drive too if you're willing to void the warranty. And then of course you can add whatever peripherals you can attach to USB and Firewire. I imagine that eventually 3rd parties will be offering processor upgrades for iBooks and iMacs, for those willing to pick at them.

But only the G4 tower is fully upgradable and easy to operate on.

Option 2: (if you're really desperate)
If you have a video card with a tv output, you could record your screen output on on to a video tape, play the tape back into your computer and record on your video editor. What program are you using for your editor?

okay. computer question:

Well, I'm back... and that means I survived the San Diego Comic Con. Whew... I don't think I've never seen that many people all in one place before. And I did a LOT of walking, too. Probably almost as much walking as standing it line. It was kinda like going to Disneyland, actually. ;)

Saw a lot of friends and folks from the Gargoyles fandom there, so that was cool, too. I might try to do a quick Comic Con diary later in the week, but I've got fanfic demons nipping at my heels, too... so no promises just yet. For now though, I'm off to recover from my day of traveling to get back home.
