Ok I've said this once but i got the day wrong so i'll say it again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPACIE! *Scantly clad Brooklyn, Lex and Griff wheel in a great big cake, which is going 'tick, tick, tick' for some reason.*

Ok i'm just going over here now... for... some reason... a reason that is... unknown... *runs*

Just checking in from Leavenworth, hi folks. Been a lovely weekend getaway. The weather's been clear and cold, frosty in the mornings, pleasant enough in the afternoons. Did the usual wandering of the shops. Managed to avoid a candy store binge this time, but I did buy a tote bag that folds up into standard purse size, but also unfolds into a shopping bag with wheels on the bottom. In leopard print, no less ... ; )

At the moment, we are in the Trendwest clubhouse. Tim's giving Becca pool lessons and I just snuck some copies of Curse of the Shadow Beasts onto the communal bookshelf. We'll be making the pretty drive back over the mountains a little later on and I still have an extra night off from work. After the hectic month we put in, we really needed this little vacation.

Lain -- hmmm... remind me never to offer you sympathy on anything again, kay? Your sense of humor is a bit... quirky.

My mom's ride did show up. And I am glad I didn't have to drive. The sun also came out, first time in WEEKS. It's... bright.

still tired. too much coffee. but now have to get ready to take my puter to the ex's to try out the HP DVD burner. Hopefully, since my computer is an HP, it will work better than the sony burner did. ::crosses fingers:: This time I'm disconnecting the cables from Bastet though, as my ex left them in a mad jumble last time that took me a while to figure out how to reconnect when we got my baby back home.

Last night did a new color job on the pic at the bottom of the GNL ep one. Still not satisfied with it, but it's better than the slap dash I did before. Jason is still giving me fits, but I figured out his character design is very much like Superman/Clark Kent's... square jaw, etc, only missing the kiss curl. So will look up refs for that instead. It's too hard to look at Hunters Moon for reference as it's mainly night shots and he has dark hair, his head sort of blends in with things on the few good face shots there is of him.

gotta bounce.

Hi, gang. Postin' time.

Fire Storm: That idea for a fic... Angela in chains... *Twitch* Didn't Madame Destine pull a similar stunt already?

Gside: Dude, you do know that a character from the Baldur's Gate games cant' be transferred to NWN? It's all about the D&D edition... And as for me not having a BFA... True, but I'll settle for a BFG... };)

Josh: In my case, it *is* just a cigar. As for the Canon joke - when my computer - main unit, monitor, digital camera and EVERYTHING is delivered by HP, is there any fathomable reason why the package should include a printer from a competing brand?

Mythological Creature test: I'm a Chimera, apparently. But what kind of chimera, I wonder? *Ponders* I suppose squid is a good start... yeah... *Utterly unethical grin*

Siryn: You realize that the Sphinx in the test, likely based on the one with the riddle, is Greek? :)

...Lynati has to keep Mara from licking her? *Blinks, strobelights seem to go off randomly behind his eyes.* Girls, do you realize the potential of that concept, if you set it up as a Pay-Per-View at G'03? };)

Spacebabie: I notice I'm not on your list there. Should I feel hurt? };)

Impfac: Ye're on unstable ground there, friend... Trust me - I been there. And whatever happens, try to keep the wheely chairs away. };)

*Wanders off, idly wondering when the wipe'll be...*

Yup, that was my post about how awful I am. Just seeing who would snap it up most eagerly, but alas lain corrected the record all too quickly :-( I was going to wait till I got home to say 'ha ha, April fools!' *checks calendar* Err.... or something like that anyway. I am if anything a decent guest, just ask Gabe since I lived with him for 3 months. A GREAT guest? Dunno.

Lain is very cool. Stop. Lain is kuddly and fun. Stop. Lain will kick my ass if I do not post this. Stop.

She is a blast though, and I love her cats. We've had a good time and I'm taking her poor behind out to eat off my dime yet again today. She's such a kuddle fiend! (I use k's on purpose: www.kustomkettle.com). Very nice apartment too. Did I mention how kuddly she is? *smooches lain*

I hope she'll have me back. Besides, that bottle of vodka will only last me so long back in the states :P

Doing homework gets really difficult when my profs don't put the assignments up. Did as much as I could do, but most of the day was spent eating junk food and watching TV, which is as it should be.

I saw the Batman Beyond movie today. That was some twisted sh*t!

Silverbolt: <<you should never stroke stray cats>>: Better to pet wet pussies. <<I hate cats! go Dogs>>: Booo! <<stone you to death with rock cakes>>: I didn't realize they were that tough. <<works with something to do with golf>>: Really? He wouldn't tell me what he does. <<when are you going to get a website barracuda, mr. Todd sir?>>: When he can sucker one of his tech savvy fans into doing it for him, I'd wager.

Silvadel: <<another potential turncoat from the republican party>>: It really sucks having to be a member of a party that includes religious fanatics, but that's the only way to keep my money from being spent on crack whores.

Gside: <<I created javadocs for the first time today>>: ? <<I'd assume anything that scary would be difficult to keep contained>>: That's a reasonable assumption. <<True shame>>: I disagree. My heart attack will be caused by much better tasting items. <<I am a sexy, sexy man>>: Says YOU!

What am I doing on here at this hour -- well wont be for very long -- will be in bed.

This has been a very wierd day... Didnt get done what I wanted to -- where did the time go.

Odd that the board hasnt reset either.

I heard that there is another potential turncoat from the republican party if they take the senate by one vote -- I find it so wierd that the democrats succeed so well in being able to overturn the senate like that so easily. Personally I think that if you change party affiliation, you should have to undergo a special election. What Jeffers did before and what I cant remember the name but the guy being courted might do is criminal.

Haloween simpsons tomorrow.

Well enough train of thought.

Nobody will likely see it anyway as the board will change =)

First off, thanks to Vash for putting this on GNC. ^_^

ANyways, gang, for everyone who enjoyed the Gargoyles Marathon (regardless of edits) I thought it would be great if everyone in the fandom let toon disney know how appreciative we are for them showing the Gargoyles Marathon. The link in my name is ofr a general feedback form. It only takes a few minutes, but please write and let toon disney know you're grateful for them showing the Gargoyles Marathon (especially Deadly Force) Toon Disney has been noticing this fandom a lot more, and even though it might not bring the show back its a VERY good sign and might be a positive push for them to release all the eps on DVDS. :)

So there is my pitch. :)

Silverbolt> The dates are on the website, (3 places at least, faq, rules, and submit sections), however, voting ends (every month) on midnight (eastern time) on the 15th. Results are usually posted between the 16th and 20th. (but usually on the 16th.)

Silverbolt -- you kicked out a kitty? bad! No Delilah for you! :: pops Delilah back in her handy garg carry case ::

GNL plans for Delilah are rather complex, but no plans for anything like Firestorm suggests. She is a major player in our story arc for at least the next two seasons. We've been grooming her for a lead role since day one.

Artwork for GNL - I'm trying to finish that on pic I started. I am fast developing a hatred for Jason. I can't draw him. I spent hours wednesday, I spent hours yesterday and today... and he just isn't coming together. I may have to give up and put someone else's head there. He just has a funky weird head that is difficult to draw right. I may have to do "generic" head and just call it Jason. gah...

A Fury when it's at home is one of the Weird Sisters *^_^* hee... The three Furies, the three Graces, the three Fates. There are a lot of sets of three in Greco-Roman mythology.

Work today...at least a little bit. After all, Friday is supposed to be my work-holiday. Burned lots of 1337 \/\/4|23Z to clear up my hard drive.

Lynati: <<be thankful that there is any artwork at all right now>>: Yes ma'am. << half the TGS artists are bogged down with world war II homework>>: It ended almost 60 years ago...how important can it be? <<trying to stop Mara from licking me>>: Um...

Fire Storm: <<they will just say that we are being mean>>: Which will be true. <<where would he pin the purple ribbon?>>: Huh? <<Decent food?>>: Anything we can make here, the Canadians can also make. <<hot American men?>>: Well, *I* am here ;-)

Spacebabie: <<the following men delivered to my house>>: Weak! I didn't make the list. Oh well, only 25% of them are real people anyway. <<I can figure Josh would rather be a train>>: You'd be right. <<I guess my mind was on trains for some reason>>: What reason? <<bright Rainbow colors?>>: The rule didn't say rainbow. <<Stay out of the French part>>: Easily done. <<It is good you know your wood>>: One must study wood. <<Sneaky paper being where it is supposed to be>>: True. How stupid did I feel.

Lain: <<WHAT THE @(*#&$>>: Its called Canada in the fall.

Christine: <<handy excuse for inexplicable pregnancies>>: That clears up a lot, thanks.

Barracuda: <<the similarities are there, especially downstairs>>: You have a huge ass? <<Ladies present>>: Wrong CR ;-) <<now I'll probably get the horse's ass comment I know is coming>>: Pretty much, yeah. <<That Mr. Wurzel's a troublemaker, that's for sure>>: Despite little evidence of that. <<I promised you, he'd return>>: Hey dude, you don't have to make excuses to me, its YOUR universe. <<Maybe I'll kill him of>>: I'm so glad my year of faithful service has been rewarded. I guess that's a hint for me to get back into editing, eh? Well, as soon as you get back into writing, deal?

Leo: <<pre-imacs>>: Almost truly worthless. <<which featured *1MB* of ram!>>: What's really amazing is that many of these still work, and are still in service at schools around the country. <<all those wonderful Mac museum pieces were staced, wrapped and forklifted into a container to be sold as scrap>>: Eh, I don't mind. It has to happen at some point. <<*Keep this card with you for four more years.*>>: HAHA. <<you do realize he's just barely as tall as you are>>: Many actors/actresses are short. <<Dominique probably fired him>>: I'm sure he could get a suitable similar position with XE or CB. <<30Mb I think>>: Remember when that was big?

Gside: <<there's something that out ranks me?>>: probably, but whatever it is escapes me at the moment. <<it must be outranked by the fire, meat, and cheese>>: I'm not a big fan of cheese. Meat and fire is good, though. <<Better than the alternate>>: Which is? <<How did I get left off that list? I mean clothing is always optional with me.>>: That's probably why you're off the list. <<I had to fight writing the kitty synonym>>: As did I.

Mooncat: <<as I'd forgotten to do that today>>: Didn't your stomach protest? Mine does when I'm just a few hours behind normal mealtime. <<sleep myself silly>>: How does one do that, exactly? Doesn't the silliest time come right before a much-needed sleep? <<I am fairly sure some greedy bad boy/girl just took it all though>>: That was me. Sorry. I was hungry. <<I'll pass your mention on to Kimberly. I think that was in one of the scenes she penned>>: It just sounded out of place coming from Elisa's mind. I'll post a more thoughtful review on the forum, now that I know its there.

Lain - snow? kewl =) Here it is just COLD. I soaked in a hot tub for a half hour and still couldn't get the shivers out of me. But then I realized later part of the shivers was from not eating, as I'd forgotten to do that today. O_o ... eep!

I did however sleep myself silly. An 8 hour stint, then a four hour nap. And I am still sleepy. But I have chores that need doing before sleep time again.

Halloween -- COLD -- moreso than today was. And for the first time ever I have lots of left over candy because so few TnT'ers this year. I went to dinner with my ex-boyfriend, who gave me a happy unbirthday party =) and left a big bowl of candy on a chair on my front porch with a "take one" sign. Came home and it was cleaned out. I am fairly sure some greedy bad boy/girl just took it all though. Fairly sure. sigh...

And after that I only got one TrickTreater, a sweet little cat girl =) I just poured candy into her little plastic cauldron. Apparently, and I heard this from a mom who came by my ex's during dinner, the few kids who did trick or treat were making out like bandits because there were so few of them out there, that even though only a very few house was giving candy this year, each of them was pouring it on the kids.

Today another friend gave me unbirthday gifts. A bit of a surprise as she had taken a turtle carved of amber out of my jewelery case, and then strung it up on a necklace of hemetite, tigerseye, goldstone, and antique glass beads that she put together for me. I really like it, but a little freaked that she'd done that with my personal property. She also made me a matching bracelet.

We spent tonight at my ex's, watching studio Ghibli movies. I bought the boxed set and hadn't seen half of them yet, like Porco Rosso. We all ate the majority of the unBirthday cookie from yesterday. **^_^**

Now the deadlines on other projects descend...

I think I'll just feed and water the cats, and do the rest of the chores tomorrow. I can barely keep my eyes open, despite 12 hours of sleep.

Josh -- Thanks for the kind words on GNL =) I really can't express how pleased I am with how everyone in the project has come together to produce the premeire episode. I re-read it and am pretty amazed how smoothly each part flowed together, since it was a number of different writers doing different scenes.

Skeevy... I don't know as I've ever used it, but I think I've heard it used a time or two. Last time I heard it out loud I think was in Buffy the Musical, when Xander sang about the skeevy cheese that Anya liked. But I'll pass your mention on to Kimberly. I think that was in one of the scenes she penned.

Any and all comments, suggestions, critiques, about the GNL premiere would be very welcome at the GNL message board. I think everyone working on the project is pretty hungry to know how the premiere is coming across.

Well, time to feed and water the cats.

lates!

I volunteered to help recycle computers today. That involves gutting the cases of any salvagable components, stripping them down to the bare steel shell then stacking them on wooden pattates and wraping the stacks in plastic. Today we did monitors and integrated systems(pre-imacs)so there wasn't any gutting to be done.

We got a truckload of old Apple computer hardware from Hampton City Public Schools. Including 33 "Classic" Macintosh computers (Two were "Macintosh Pluses" which featured *1MB* of ram!!!!) and 16 Preforma Power PCs to go with the 200+ monitors. And all that to add to the 300+ dead monitors we already had that were full of rusty water from laying outside in the rain.

Yes Josh, all those wonderful Mac museum pieces were staced, wrapped and forklifted into a container to be sold as scrap. Actually the performas didn't make it on the container this time so there may be an opportinity to see if some of them still work. :)

Oh, and I'm a Gryphon, with Phoenix and Centaur at either end of whatever so-called spectrum that test implies.

Josh:<<Which explains why a certain character hasn't made an appearance in any of the last 30 TGS:BA eps>> Dominique probably fired him :)<<That doesn't count. IIGS's weren't SUPPOSED to have hard drives!>>I saw one that did today. 30Mb I think. It had it's own power cord and had an outer case the size of the GS box. It was still connected to the floppy port. We had to cut the cable to separate them because the screws had rusted.

(As the wrapped stack of classic macintosh computers was loaded into the container, you could almost hear their little Steven Hawking voices screaming. "Hello, I am Macintosh")

Yeah, I got dragon, just confirming the status quo. I'm running behind this week but here is my review of Timedancer.

<Warning Spoilers! Though if I'm spoiling anything now, four days later, where are your priorities.>

Timedancer Review: “The Harsh Light of Day: Part 1”
Tagline:
City of Stone: Gwenyvere style

Plotline:
You know the drill. The present-day story skims along positioning characters for surprising twists and maximum pathos. But this is a cover for the past story, where we learn the details of a secondary character, in this case Gwenyvere.

Review line:
Others have already hit on the clunky and jarring way; the Nick Jr. & the forgettable Unseelie have disappeared off the map while Gwenyvere and Harthoth are rotated to the foreground.

To the credit of the staff, they did keep Gwen and Harthoth in the background of numerous episodes: Harthoth’s visits to Sata and Gwen popping for Samson. Unfortunately, Gwen’s presence this season has been so sporadic it is hard to feel involved with Gwen’s background story. It’s the same with Nick Jr. The characters need to establish themselves and their goals well in advance of the background story. On the show, Demona and Macbeth made several appearances before City of Stone.

The past Angela did seem out of character especially considering they survived the New York earthquake. The worst of it was over. What was so terrible about New York that they couldn’t leave sooner? Broadway should have shown more backbone. I don’t think he would have objected, but he knew this wouldn’t fly well with his kids. He should have asked her about it, because it didn’t seem like Angela was thinking about of her children, more like selfish thinking of herself.

The neglectful parent syndrome> It seems Angela and Merlin can start of support group. A parent makes one mistake thus dooming the child to becoming a villain. It’s used so often it has become cliché. I love antagonists with fatal flaws as much as the next dragon, but it seems like a bit lazy to just pin characters' unhappiness on their parents. I hope the second part of this cliché doesn’t happen. That where the parent clear sees the signs of trouble, but takes their sweet time getting involved.

Here is the good: Brooklyn and Meryt. The picture was great, perfectly illustrating the scene. Didn’t like that Brooklyn like a sucker knowingly walks into a trap. (What is it with gargoyles in the future? Is there something in the water that addles their brain?) But once there, he performed in true heroic form.

My favorite bit was hearing Artus reason for going with his family to Avalon. That was perfectly in character both sad and very sweet. I also liked his optimistic attitude during the rebuilding of New York. You could really see the qualities that make him a good leader.

I don’t think that the season has passed quickly. I think it’s because many episodes were fillers that didn’t add to the overall story. Those eps were easily forgettable and hence the feeling that the season has whipped by.

A good opening for a multiparter. Gwen definitely has some ‘xplaining to do.

<End of Spoilerage>

Happy All Saints Day

Josh> "A hideous man-beast?" - Yeah, though I must admit, the similarities are there, especially downstairs...no, no, I won't finish that thought. Ladies present, and I'm the Canadian equivalent of a gentlemen. Course, now I'll probably get the horse's ass comment I know is coming...

"Which explains why a certain character hasn't made an appearance in any of the last 30 TGS:BA eps" - That Mr. Wurzel's a troublemaker, that's for sure. Sarcastic little so-and-so, but I promised you, he'd return. Though his role may be small, it'll definitely be there. Maybe I'll kill him off, I'm getting a reputation for that.

Skeevy? Heh heh heh, I haven't heard or used that word for years.

Incubus/Succubus > my exhaustive research on the subject (which should surprise no one <g>) indicates that these are not actually seperate creatures but single entities with the power to swap gender depending on that of the victim. In succubus form, the entity would collect "emissions" from sleeping men, then transform, visit upon a sleeping woman, and voila, a handy excuse for inexplicable pregnancies! ; )

Happt belated Halloween, everybody!

Yesterday sucked. Let me set up this situation. We have to keep Rocco separate from the other dogs. .mostly Patch and Frisky. I accidentally let the dogs out not knowing Rocco was in the yard.

There was a fight. I grabbed Frisky and managed to haul him into the house. Frisky is a large 130 pound Dalmatian. Well mostly Dalmatian he isn’t as stupid as his pure bred mother. Dad was holding Rocco down while I brought Patch a Boxer/Pit Bull mix in and had to doctor up his neck.
During the fight Patch accidentally bit down on my dad’s shoulder. When my dad shouted Patch had this really surprised look on his face. Like Jon Canmore did when he shot Jason.
I applied gauze pads coated with Neosporin to my dad shoulder and medical taped them down. Rocco has some injuries and I got a small bite on my left hand.

There were a few students dressed up yesterday on campus. Including the only two students in Non fic class who were up for workshop.

Not too many tirck or treators. So now we have a lot of starbursts and skittles

I *hate* Thursdays, they take forever. F*cking classes from 930-8. At least my wood design midterm was easy. I guess if the prof hadn't hyped it up as being much harder, I wouldn't have done as much prep work as I did.

I really wanted to leave the test 20 minutes early since he singled me out last class saying that I wouldn't be able to do that. Then I noticed page 2...right there between pages 1 and 3.

Silverbolt: <<Does this mean you’ll be taking a more active role in this Comment Room now?>>: That guy spends all his free time writing. Just as well. His writing rocks.

Mooncat; The GNL episode ROCKED! Very well written except for a few colloquialisms that sounded funny (who says "skeevy", anyway?).

Godiva: <<I'm a succubus>>: I bet you are.

Barracuda: <<I'm a centaur. ...the hell?>>: A hideous man-beast? ;-) <<watch the fights that often break out>>: Which explains why a certain character hasn't made an appearance in any of the last 30 TGS:BA eps ;-)

Patrick: <<I'm a succubus>>: Explains a lot.

Hyperion: <<First Phoenix on the board>>: Second, actually.

Vegeta: <<Just wondering if there was ever a final episode and if so how did it go>>: Keep watching.

Gside: <<the bastard son of Chubaca and Princess Lea''s that fell to Earh and landed in Jersey>>: That is the second scariest thing I've ever heard. <<We had to splice our own wires to install a hard drive in our IIGS>>: That doesn't count. IIGS's weren't SUPPOSED to have hard drives! <<Apple does seem to like its customers to think of their products as sealed black boxes>>: No, it just thinks that consumers who don't know about computers shouldn't ever need to futz with them. <<It just depends on your ratios of fire, meat, and cheese to everything else>>: True. Which is why we don't want bread. So our hands are covered with meat and cheese. <<if I prefer to sit naked in the chair instead of watching TV, I'm a succubus>>: But you don't, do you? <<Male version of succubi. It fits>>: Woot!

Okay, time to sleep.

33. I won't require high-ranking female members of my organization to wear a stainless-steel bustier. Morale is better with a more casual dress-code. Similarly, outfits made entirely from black leather will be reserved for formal occasions.

I believe this "test" is really some kind of supernatural mind reading device that pulls the answers from deep within your psyche. I shall have to take steps to prove I'm right.

Meanwhilst, if anyone has posted "phoenix" before I post the message I shall be very annoyed.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA! *Howls at the moon* Happy Halloween people *Throws Chocolate and sweets into the room*

I just saw Lilo and Stitch at the cinema yesterday and I don’t know why but I got a weird idea for an advert if that blue thing got a TV show.

(Goliath and Elisa are looking at each other at the head of Hunters Moon)

Elisa: You how I feel about you… right?
Goliath: How we both feel.
(Neither notices a blue creature crawling up the tower they’re in, it jumps on top of Goliath and falls down onto his face just as Elisa jumps up and kisses Goliath, but instead she kisses Stitch’s ass. She opens her eyes and screams, Goliath drops her in shock and she falls on the floor. Stitch gives her a sly lovy duvy before running off laughing his head off.)
Elisa: (Pushes Goliath out of the way angrily, whilst rubbing her ass and shakes her fist at the escaping monster) Get you OWN TV show, you little freak!

(I need to take my medication more often)

I was thinking about the whole Delilah/Samson thing in Timedancer and I’m beginning to think that they WILL become a couple, not because of their names but because Samson doesn’t know her, therefore not knowing his relationship with her and also he said he wanted to see more of her. ;P (Please say she’s going to be in one of the last parts of this season? Or is she going to be like the original Delilah and only have a small part?)

Mooncat> good luck with the New Legends series btw I look forward to reading it. And you’re featuring Delilah and I wasn’t informed? *Mutter, mutter* Now THAT was one garg I would gladly do.

And it is now halloween -- Tonight is the night the Gargoyles can go out among humans and not be noticed...

In reality it is the night you can throw your excess baggage into the fire and take leave of it.

Forgot to mention this earlier, but I got my LSAT score on Sunday. Did pretty well, actually, better than I did on the practice exams this summer. Now I can watch as the law school brochures roll in...and promptly turn them all down.

Tried to install the latest version of MATLAB today...lazy ass programmers didn't even make a real mac port, they just burned the disc with a copy of X11 and said "you're on your own". Grrrr.

***MAC RANT***

I would love to know who started the myth that macs aren't upgradeable (well, I'd like to know who started a lot of mac myths, but right now that one is bugging me). They use the same hard drives as everyone else, same types of RAM, same physical PCI/PCMCIA/AGP slots. Same printers, scanners, USB, firewire, CD burners, hell, even floppy drives (at least if you bother to get one for your mac).

All that's different on the mac is the driver. No driver = no mac version, just like no driver for windows = no windows version. Its true that there are fewer drivers for various hardware upgrades available for mac, but that isn't even close to the same as saying they aren't upgradeable.

The girl my roommate is dating said "macs are easy to upgrade! Just throw it out and buy a new one." I think she shut her up when he pulled open the door of his G4 tower and popped in a hard drive with not a single screw.

***END MAC RANT***

Mooncat: <<*can* you upgrade a Apple product>>: Of course! Do you really think us mac users would be so stupid as to drop as much as $10,000 on a system that we couldn't add to (no, my system didn't cost that much)? The degree of upgrading that can be done depends on which system you buy. In general, iMacs and iBooks are really only designed to have user-upgradeable RAM and Airport card. If you really get into the guts then you void your hardware warranty or extended Applecare warranty. But that didn't stop my roommate from ripping apart his iBook and putting in a bigger hard drive (yes, it works fine). More importantly, though, its a lot easier to add functionality through the USB and firewire ports on a mac than it is on windows, because its true plug and play. I've used my iBook with external burners, hard drives, and video display adapters. No problems. The G4 tower is the easiest tower I've EVER seen for upgrading. check out www.apple.com/powermac/expansion Fully upgradeable RAM, media drives, PCI cards, AGP graphics card, up to 4 hard drives...well, those are the current ones. You could easily get an older tower for cheeeep(TM), though, slap in a superdrive, and replace the drive as needed. The catch is this: Apple only allows certain dvd writers to work with its software. I think its a Pioneer A04 or A05. But that's now, and a lot can change in a year.

Spacebabie: <<Josh made a “woot!” to me that sounds like a train whistle>>: Nah, sounds more like a woot. <<Sleep is something to be treasured>>: Amen! <<What straight villian would wear bright pastel colors?>>: Who said anything about pastels? <<Are you trying to get Josh to visit your fair Country again?>>: Its working.

Kathy: << I thought converting my old radio tapes to MP3s was a pain in the tail>>: I had a few tapes that I burned to CD...boy was that a pain in the ass. Video to DVD isn't gonna be much better. The easiest (though slowest) way is gonna be a real-time feed to your video capture card from your VCR.

Warpmind: <<puffing on a quite substantial Cuban cigar>>: And sometimes its NOT just a cigar. <<Somewhere around the corner there's a winning lottery ticket with my name on it>>: Don't hold yer breath. <<You'd be amazed at the many interesting facial expressions I get>>: Why? Canon makes good printers.

Patrick: <<Angela sure ends up in chains quite a bit during the World Tour. Elisa, too, for that matter>>: Look out Mme. Destine! <<If we're keeping score>>: Were we? <<slowly getting my schedule back to normal in the wake of the P.E. exam>>: Go you! I hope you pass. <<unless, of course, I decide to go back for grad school at some point>>: I wouldn't call the GRE a "big test".

Fire Storm: <<No I'm not!>>: Sure, he's just the sensitive guy who likes poetry and cooking...wait a second... <<Canada issued a travel warning to the US!>>: Come on. If you live in Canada, what could possibly bring you here anyway?

DPH: <<However long it takes to write them plus time to finish up breakdowns>>: At least you can say that's an exact time frame 8-)

Gside: <<unfortunately our literal boobs go covered>>: No, what's unfortunate is that our metaphorical ones aren't. <<It isn't so terrible, if you've never been anywhere else>>: Fair enough. <<exclusive or>>: Do you mean "A or B but not both"? <<With the wonders of cheese, of course>>: That's gonna hurt. <<Being a machine that can only run on its give tracks, or a hairless soft kitty?>>: No comment.

At one time canada and the US were very good friends and fairly similar to each other. However at the beginning of the 1980s, we got Reagan. In essence Canada went the way Hillary Clinton would have wanted us to go(Socialized Medicine, WEAK Immigration, etc). In fact the democrats would love it if the USA were more like Canada. However that is not the path the USA took and now there is quite a gulf between the two countries.

I am quite glad the USA didnt follow that road actually.

Imzadi> <<Plenty of boobs on American TV, both literally and metaphorically>>: But unfortunately our literal boobs go covered.
<<It's an interesting place to visit, but I do not think I would like to live here>>: It isn't so terrible, if you've never been anywhere else.
<<Doesn't help>>: Right. Anyway, XORs and XNORs are logic gates, specifically exclusive or and its complement. DSD is short for Digital System Design, a course I am taking.
<<But they could do it subtly>>: I can't really see a subtle way without too many side effects for other programs.
<<I think so brain, but how will we get it to fit?>>: With the wonders of cheese, of course.

Spacebabie> <<So I guess the mafia does NOT have any connections>>: No, apparently not.
<<Josh made a woot! to me that sounds like a train whistle>>: Ah. But which is better? Being a machine that can only run on its give tracks, or a hairless soft kitty?

Kathy> <<So how is your (collective) day?>>: Not too bad. slept in, went to my one lecture, killed the Ravager.

Warpmind> <<Been busy playing NWN and stuff>>: I'll get there eventually. With the ravager gone, I just have to get rid of Mellisan four times with elemental and planar interruptions.
<<I make signs at an advertisement company>>: Same with my brother. And you don't even have a BFA.

Niamhgold> << I can't even promise that this is the start of regular posting again>>: Man.
<<We're a bunch of dorks>>: Yes, you are. But I have 80% of a Rorschach costume. What does that say about me? And if I use replacements I have now, I could say I'm Holstein, Rorschach's more mentally unbalanced cousin.

Imzadi - <You really start to understand how they felt and just how brilliant the grand design of the Gargoyles universe really is.> I can't watch some of the episodes again. Yes, Imzadi, now you can bite me for my cd burner. I'm recording music from an old cassette to my computer so I can burn it to a CD. It's by an artist called "Larry Norman". I want to return the cassette to the person I borrowed it from years ago and the guy is going to become a missionary in Thailand (I believe that is the name of the country). The music is from the 60s/70s and the songs are 3-4 minutes. I've only gone through about 50% of one side of the tape and already have 8 songs.

For Old Time's Sake - 1891 was Brooklyn's 1st visit to Egypt from his POV and the second chronologically. Sun and the Serpent, parts 1 - 4 - July 23-25, 1952 was Brooklyn 3rd visit to Egypt from his POV and the third chronologically. The chronological order could change if a future story is released.

Okay, it's very hokey, like a modern, and dark version of the 1960s Batman live action series, yet it really pleases me because of this hokey feel as much as despite it. It's a superhero(ine) tv series, and it's fun, and has nice looking actors. And occassionally has moments that have the punch of a freight train. There was no last minute save for Guy, and when he died, I just cried my eyes out. And Harley, she was excellently mad, bad, and dangerous to know. She's scary *^_^*

Impfac - Thanks for participating in the early brain storm sessions. Your scene with Jon watching TV was kept mostly intact. It is too bad you had to drop out, but every cloud has a silver lining. Ellen and Allain were able to take over the scenes with Delilah, and their writing has added a very rich flavor to the story mix. So it all works out in the end.

** Niamhgold enters briefly **

Yes, I *have* been lurking for quite a long while. One reason is due to the kickback and workload imposed by a first semester of junior year. Additionally, I'd picked up one freelance job, one regular part time job, and a Peer Career Advisorship position, and those, plus 18 credits and the fact that I'm trying not to aggravate my RSI keeps me from my normal load of emailing/posting. I can't even promise that this is the start of regular posting again...there are those of you who are much more diligent about that than myself ;)

Haven't had much of a life IRL here, either. However, I did go to the MICA Halloween party last Saturday as Hawkgirl from the Justice League. Follow my link, or go to http://www.geocities.com/fluff_astrid/images/justice for pictures. We're a bunch of dorks!

Basically, I'm just popping in to say I'm okay, that I do miss you guys, and that I am still available at my email address. I'm just hugely busy, so forgive me :)

Well, after a long absence, I'm back. Worry not, folks, I've kept somewhat up to date - just been lurking for a couple weeks. Been busy playing NWN and stuff. :) And, hey, hey, I got a JOB! Well, technically, it's a sort of trial run - they don't pay me in this initial period, but I still get my SS benefits. And when (if) they hire me, I'll get a bit MORE each month. Which'll come in handy to pay off my credit card debt, acquired when I got the computer and the washer... :p Oh, well - the worst thing that can happen is that I rack up a little extra debt on the interest... Not a really big deal. (Hey, I gotta stay positive, right? Somewhere around the corner there's a winning lottery ticket with my name on it.) For now, I make signs at an advertisement company. You know, those big billboards, or those window banners that are slapped straight on the glass... It's more interesting than it sounds, since I have already learned quite a bit about how peeling excess foil can be quite a b*tch. And I've not yet suffered a single injury at work, either, despite handling scalpels every day for almost two weeks now. Maybe they called me Jack about 105 years ago... };)

Anyway, thanks to those who congratulated me on my birthday. I am now 23 years old, and hoping for a few hundred times as long eventually...

Moncat: Oooh, you have an HP Pavilion, too? Mine's a Pavilion 432 - a wondrous machine that I'm actually *pleased* with. It even came with a digital camera which so far works well. :) AND a photoprinter. (Which, for the hell of it, I tell the curious came from Canon. You'd be amazed at the many interesting facial expressions I get.)

Spacebabie: Ayup, it is the era of the Scorpio again. No wonder I feel so... energetic and Machiavellian of late. };)

And that, I guess, is that for now.

Mooncat > What you're going through is why I'm waiting at least another year before getting a DVD burner. (And I thought converting my old radio tapes to MP3s was a pain in the tail)

Jack is at the vet's today getting snipped. Poor little guy. It's weird being on the other side of the desk for this sort of thing though. A cat neuter is a five minute procedure tops (not including knocking him out) and that's if you're dawdling. This receptionist is going on like it's major surgery. "Are you sure you don't want expensive pain killers for after the procedure?" Yeah right. You want animals to be a little sore so they don't hurt themselves rocketing around after they've been worked on. Gah. Sorry venting. But you take animals to a Veterinarian not a Pediatrician for a reason.

I missed the Gargoyles marathon. No cable. The logo thing would have annoyed me too. In fact the entire bleed over "You're Watching..." or "So in So is Up Next!" is really getting aggravating. I generally know what I'm watching when I switch on the tube and stations can take thirty seconds to run a promo for what's coming next. It's just pushing the market for television shows on DVD so you can actually see what you were meant to without the persistant interruptions.

Green Baron > Stay warm in Kosovo! And be safe.

So how is your (collective) day?

the big bad in buffy is not the same for angel. yep 2 end of the worlds happeining at the same time. one in sunnydale and one in la. I dont know if they were orginaly supposed to be one and the upn wb thing screwed that up or what, but the "evil" is seperate now. You know what would be funny if angel and buffy both failed and the 2 evils took each other out for the right to destroy the world. "I shall destroy the world. Hi Josh,

Yeah, my computer was pretty good when I got her, despite being an evil HP Pavilion 9800. I had them set her up with extra memory, and larger hard drive, and switched out the video card for an ATI Radeon All In Wonder so I could capture and stuff, and all in all she's stood the test of time, except that the evil system restore software was utter crap, and I had to upgrade to XP just to get her working again after a fiasco last November.

The bit of tech I'm thinking will be bypassed in a year or so is the dvd writer itself, not the computer, if I decided to by a new system just for that. I'm not sure, but *can* you upgrade a Apple product, and switch out drives and such? I hadn't thought you could do that, as with component PCs.

Okay, tell me more oh Apple Guru *^_^* ... I am nothing if not easily fascinated by tech toys.

Mooncat: Just some FYI stuff, not trying to troll or flame or whatever. <<all the attendant software I'd have to get for a different OS>>: Current iMacs come with LOTS of free software, almost everything you'd need to have it be a fully functional secondary system. Granted, you might need to download some new drivers for some of your peripherals. Oh, and don't forget piracy (disclaimer: I do not endorse piracy ;-)) <<I have lots n' lots of software>>: Also, there's virtual PC, which runs pretty smoothly on G4 chips (such as the iMac). I can actually run up to 11 different Windows environments simultaneously if I want, each with loads of windows-only programs, if need be. <<almost two years old now, and still on par with the majority of brand new computers>>: That's awesome that you got that kind of shelf life out of a PC. Must have been pretty cracked-out when you bought it. <<rather than drop a grand plus on a new computer just for something that next year will be bypassed by new tech>>: Well, not really. After all, you said yourself that your machine is two years old and still on par with current PC's. Why should an iMac be any different? Macs generally have a useable life of 5-6 years before they *can not* run the latest version of Apple's OS, sometimes even longer. Before OS X, there were 10 year old macs running OS 9.2.2. <<more easily add extra fancy polish before the rendering/finalizing ... which unfortunately is excruciatingly slow>>: G4 chips are specially optimized for this stuff, especially when running with Apple's movie editing/making programs. Pretty sweet to watch them "build" movies in real time. <<Yes Josh, your constant raving about the wonders of Apple is seeping into my wee kitty skull>>: WOOHOO! <<when I can't fight the to need to upgrade to a whole new system>>: I don't think there is ever a NEED for a windows user to switch to a mac system. It has to happen when either the user is fed up with Windows/Microsoft being dumb or there is some feature on the mac that they really like.

Lady Mystic: HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Airwalker: Good comments.

Barracuda: <<I believe he used a Mac, Josh>>: He'd better! ;-)

Leo: <<BBC without the boobs>>: Plenty of boobs on American TV, both literally and metaphorically.

Lain: <<its legal for women to go topless here>>: Oddly enough, Canada just moved to the top of my list of places to move to.

Gside: <<Welcome to my world>>: It's an interesting place to visit, but I do not think I would like to live here. <<The opposite of an XOR>>: Doesn't help. <<They're probably too afraid of antitrust to do that blatantly>>: But they could do it subtly. The risk is there. <<Would you like a chinchilla to go with your kielbasa>>: I think so brain, but how will we get it to fit? <<wouldn't work well against large opaque things>>: Which is what this logo is.

And with that, I finish for the night.

31. All naive, busty tavern wenches in my realm will be replaced with surly, world-weary waitresses who will provide no unexpected reinforcement and/or romantic subplot for the hero or his sidekick.

<<What's an XNOR?>>: The opposite of an XOR.
<<Beer holder>>: That too.
<<but your windows box runs the risk of Microsoft one day saying "no more netscape, only outlook">>: They're probably too afraid of antitrust to do that blatantly.
<<You're nuts>>: Very much so. Would you like a chinchilla to go with your kielbasa?
<<Huh?>>: Choo Choo Bear is a boneless cat from the webcomic Something Positive. And he now has a friend in the spanish speaking ex-love midget Pepito.
<<That only works if the logo is semi-transparent, no?>>: Nah, also works on subtitles. Though it wouldn't work well against large opaque things. But then I doubt anything would besides a hand touch up for every frame.

Leo> Family Channel, yes, the Canadian version of the Disney channel. Aired them WITHOUT any commercial interruption and in order as well (same goes for every show currently on there). It was bliss, and damnit if I didn't tape them. They would occasionally flash a small 'F' logo if anything, and yes, it was nice, small, and unobtrusive. But they decided to take Gargoyles off in order to fit in so-called 'new programming', and they lose their Gargoyles license soon, so the show could be lost from that channel altogether.

BBC? Yeah, though it seems hard to get without getting the higher cable packages in my area, and thus, it's not worth it.

Lain> I agree, Canadian censorship, if any, is lax. Boobs and swear words galore, meaning a movie on a Canadian channel will rarely be edited for content. Which is great in all aspects but one, the fact it serves to degenerate our entire social structure and force our beloved Canada into chaos. But what the hell, it's fun, and the whole legal topless thing is a bonus.

Hi people. I hope it's okay to mention this here, but if anyone is interested, the new fan project "Gargoyles: New Legends" will premiere very soon.

It not affliated with TGS, but it is a separate fan produced continuation of GARGOYLES, and will run in monthly episodes that are part of an ongoing story arc. It's written for a mature audience, so the S&P will be set for mature teen and adult readers. New Legends is a virtual "third season" taking place after the events of Hunters Moon.

We have some outstanding writing talents working on this project. Kimberly Towle, Ellen Stolfa, Allaine... just to name a few... And I think we've got a really bang up opening episode, and a story arc that will go in some very exciting directions.

Just thought I'd drop a word on this so people will know that New Legends is just around the corner.

Thanks for your time =)

For those seeking to make Gargoyles eps into DVDs, I in fact have bought such a product on the net. There is a guy who has made City Of Stone eps 1-4 and the entire run of The Goliath Chronicles on homemade DVDs (and I believe he used a Mac, Josh). I bought a set of each and am impressed with the quality, maybe at least an 8 or 9 out of a total of 10. Except for that little Toon Disney semi-transparent logo that pops up occasionally, they seem pretty good (can't tell if they were edited or not as I haven't seen TGC since the orginal run in '96, but knowing Toon Disney...). They sometimes act up when I try to either fast forward or skip chapters, but hey, why would I want to skip through any Gargoyles episode? And the homemade covers for the DVD cases he provides are quality computer made that seem almost professional.

It will help fill the gap until Disney actually releases the eps on a true DVD, which hopefully won't be edited.

And speaking about editing, and the marathon I too am missing out on, it sucks I know. But the funny thing is, a Canadian channel that USED to play them never edited them at all, including the blood in Deadly Force. God, I love Canadian television stations. But of course, before I even decided to record them (thinking "they would never take Gargs of the air") they did, and I lost out.

Damnit.

******TGS COMMENTS******

Only 2 more eps in TD Season 4? And just when we got back to Brooklyn, Sata, and Harthoth. :(

The seasons just get shorter and shorter.
Season 1: 19 eps
Season 2: 18 eps
Season 3: 15 eps
Season 4: 13 eps??

Is it because of not enough man-hours? Or breaking in new staff? Are there "lost" episodes that never got compleated because of time constraints? (like in season 3 - it seemed something was missing)

Forgotten> Comments on the editing: Little kids watch this and Disney felt the blood was just too much. I'm talking VERY little children. Sure, they clipped a few scenes and omitted the word terrorist, but so what? How can 3 seconds removed ruin one of the greatest shows ever? It doesn't for Impfac. Now they show Deadly Force but you complain because they clipped the violence. To me, losing less than 1% of an episode is worth getting to see it. I’m not a purist.

I personally am thankful, not angry, with Disney for giving me gargoyles, and this marathon. As for the logos? Annoying, yes, much too large, but I'll recover. I watch gargoyles, I don’t watch what isn’t there.

Sorry to sound mean, but to let such TINY things ruin the show for you is incomprehensible to me. I love gargoyles and am not in the slightest annoyed by what Disney has chosen to do. God bless for what they made, not curse them for what they cut.

Please, I am not addressing anyone, just expressing my feelings. If you are offended, please remember I am not trying to bash anyone, just express a contrary opinion that I happen to carry.

BTW, to those asking for tapes: I missed a big chunk, since I didn't start recording until 9PM last night. That's six hours, 12 episodes missing, and THAT is an omission to regret.

All the best.

Gargoyles thoughts>

Aside from City of Stone, I think the single best, most complex episode of gargoyles is Vows. It captures the most emotion of any episode, particularly the sheer heartbreak of Goliath, and the complex relationship between Demona, younger and older, and Goliath.

It is clear from The Mirror that Demona is far from over Goliath. She still loves him. But she is unable to mesh reality with her fantasy of Goliath as the impossible return of the one she loved so dearly that will at last make her complete. But he does not hate humans; he is not hardened from a millennia of cruelty; She has changed, he has not. We never see the true complexity of Demona, we do not see her true heartbreak at losing her love, but we know she is in pain. This pain is expressed as rage, and over 1,000 years the rage consumes her until reality is now filtered through the absolute need to release her pain and guilt through revenge. The HUMANS, always the HUMANS. She cannot acknowledge, EVER, responsibility for the massacre and the loss of Goliath is far too painful to accept the guilt. She took her pain and projected it. That is the tragedy behind Demona.

But what of Goliath? He has lost his true love-and it was true, deep, and passionate. He suffers constantly from the loss. As far as he is concerned, it was yesterday that she was his. This grief reaches its climax in Vows.

What of young Demona? She, in the view of her elder, is the poor, naive self that trusted the humans. Her disgust at her naivete becomes rage. Rather than communicate anything meaningful she becomes violent. Notice that the younger has a voice not hardened by time.

The suffering of Demona is shown at the end, with the famous password, ALONE. She is not a villain, not evil, she is a tortured soul, driven by her madness-the pathological inability to accept what she’s done-to lash out ay nearly anyone. She can never be close with another-save MacBeth, whom she hates the most.

Dynamic characters with true emotion are what made Gargoyles the single best television show I’ve ever seen. That is why we still write tomes in homage to the show we all loved. You can never exhaust exploring the huge, dynamic world that was created for us, and the people we can hardly view as fictional for their sheer emotional complexity that in spite of the overwhelming fiction will ALWAYS ring true. Some tales are indeed timeless.

**CURRENT TGS EPISODE COMMENTS**

I'm a bit suprised that we're reaching the end of the 4th Season of FUTURE TEN.... uh I mean, TIMEDANCER! It seems to have gone by so quickly. About how long after this season ends will we get into the first Season of BAD GUYS?

As for the story itself, its got a lot of good things going for it. It finally shifts the series from being FUTURE TENSE S1 back to being TIMEDANCER S4 and it shifts back to what is probably the most interesting of all the various TIMEDANCER/TGS in General plots - Harthoth/Apep.

Some things did stand out to me from the very beginning - in the very first paragraph of the story Isfet implies that once Harthoth finishes serving Apep, he gets to walk away from everything alive. But all the previous stories including THE SUN AND THE SERPENT 4 parter in S2 have the deal between Harthoth and Apep worked out that the price of Harthoth's cooperation is Meryt being given a living body and Harthoth having his life come to an end.

I understand that he has been given motivation to stay alive in that he has gotten involved with Gwen and has a kid waiting to be hatched (a daughter to be more specific and given some background comments in REQUIEM) so he might not be as suicidal as he was when he made the original deal but wouldn't Apep be inclinded to honor the deal he made back in 1952? And wouldn't Isfet, who loves to cause pain, want to emphasis that to him? So why switch it around now?

I did like the reintroduction of the Gwen subplot in Samson and Brooklyn's conversation but I thought that it was a little to convinient to the plot that Samson was so willing to bring it up with Brooklyn after keeping it a secret for so long. He knows that Brooklyn is as concerned with Gwen as Angela is and I think that he would be as careful mentioning her around him as he would be around his parents.

What I did like was his bit of indifference - it adds to classic Gargoyle tradition. She's his biological sister but except for the fact that his parents emphasised it, it doesn't mean much to him. She hasn't been around most of his life after all and with the age difference added in he probably shouldn't care that much about her. Artus should feel much closer to her than Samson does since he would have known her longer and developed some sort of bond with her.

I liked that we finally got a bit more of a view of the Timedancer Family; Graeme and Ariana have largely been absent or so deep in the background that they might as well have been absent from the stories. When we consider that a large chunk of S2 and S3 was revolving around them indirectly (the pregancy and then the hatching) I thought that overall they didn't show up in S4 nearly enough. They don't even need that much airtime - what we got here was more than enough for the characters at their current age.

I did like that it looks like we'll get some airing of Sata's secret friendship and contact with Harthoth soon but I'm not so crazy about how it seems to be presented like she's done something horrible. I got the impression from Brooklyn's "I'll still love you even if your a criminal" love declaration that the story is going to present the secret as a bad thing on Sata's part, something she has to be sorry about. I hope that secrets on all sides can come out including what Sata might think Brooklyn is hiding from her (Pandora, Various Timedances in S3, his shoulder wound) and that the situation is evened out so that neither one is really right and neither one is really wrong. Because thats how they both really are but the scene seems to give an advantage to Brooklyn over Sata.

By the way, why doesn't Alex recognize Harthoth as the Gargoyle who saved him from being drained way back in S2 when he sees the message rather than just having a feeling about it near the end of the story? The night he met and promised a favor to Harthoth should be one that would be burned into his memory considering what happened to his daughter - so why have it come up as mainly an afterthought?

The dream communication to Angela was a pretty good way to expand the Gwen subplot although I wish that it had been made less apparent that it was probably a magical message to her. It would have been better for just Angela to have the dreams and while suspecting magic also have the possibility of it being her subconscious making some of it up - that would have blurred everything a bit and leave the situation with some misdirection rather than having her ready to jump into action. It would also have been nice towards leading Angela to reaching an epiphany over her relationship with Gwen and why it turned out the way it did.

I also thought that Angela's reaction to the Quake in the flashback was a bit out of character. I have a hard time accepting that she would see Avalon as home after having lived a good chunk of her life in NYC, including developing her family over there. Life on Avalon should have become distant to her due to the time difference. Her willingness to abandon everything so easily and to drag her family back to Avalon seemed a bit forced. I don't blame the story entirely for it since past stories do have her and her family head back to Avalon so that they could be alive in FUTUER TENSE - its just that the rationale that she uses to do seems so out of character for her.

I did like Meryts reintroduction here although it would have been nice if she had been as out of it as she was when we saw her last time. I wonder if she'll get the time to mention that Sata left her behind to rot (so to speak) in that cell? It was out of character for Sata to do so when it happened but I'd like to see what the reprecussions, if any, will be here.

I'm a bit suprised Serena showed up here for a minute considering that she'd have been much more useful in the last episode. I did like the implication of her being uncomfortable thinking about Alex's first marriage. What it did make me wonder though is if it were a good marriage or not? The implication up to this point was that Alex married a mortal (given the description of his son Hal who seems older and more mortal than his Half Sisters) who died and then later met and married Serena. Here he seems to dismiss his previous marriage like it was nothing to him just so he can give his current wife some romantic line before he goes off to a battle he doesn't really need to go to. Dissing his first wife, that felt like it came out of nowhere.

And why is he going on this trip? He does have a company to run and besides since when does he HAVE to take orders from Artus to go with them? Doesn't Artus have to ask him rather than order him around?

All in all it was a pretty good first part - especially the very end of it. The art was great (I loved the Brooklyn/Twins photo and the Meryt/Brooklyn reunion photo but shouldn't Isfet have a metal arm in the center photo?). I can't wait to see part 2 and how all this is going to end out considering that its only 3 parts. I hope that we don't end in a cliffhanger or that at the very least its something that won't drive us crazy since its going to be a while before TIMEDANCER S5 starts up.

Overall in the Season though it was more FUTURE TENSE than TIMEDANCER. I felt that some things that come up here could have used some more buildup than they got in the season because Brooklyn turned into a bit player in his own series in the episodes prior to this one. Angela and the dreams, Brooklyn and his concern over Sata and her secrets (and visa versa), Alex and Serena, Payne and the Gate - some of that did get an honorable mention way back when but got lost in the grand race to make Jr. Lite look like something more than the useless puppet he turned out to be.

The sudden shift back to Harthoth, while not unwelcomed, feels a bit like a 90 degree turn since we just came off from episode after episode dealing with the Teen Unseelie. This episode makes all the Unseelie ones before it feel a lot like filler. I hope that in the next season of TIMEDANCER the series will stay firmly focused on Brooklyn and Sata rather than on the time period they are in. That I think was the biggest problem of this season - it got a bit wrapped up in being in the future.

I hope that next season the story gets more into being able to contrast Brooklyn and his being used to wandering against the 20 years of relatively stable living that Sata has had altogether to bring up some fundamental TIMEDANCER questions rather than focus on the "threat" of 17th rate Madoc wanna-be. (At least the next season will have Maeve running around as a threat - THAT's something to worry about.)

How much of Deadly Force did they edit? I know they editied the part where Elisa lies in her own blood, (since I've seen that screen shot), but I've never seen the episode before.. But why did they edit it? They put it on later on purpse, so why not keep the gorey part? We can';t win...

But hey, at least for once they showed it!

Mooncat: More on this later, but I wasn't actually suggesting replacing your beloved computer. If someone told me to replace Typhoon, I'd look at them like they'd just asked me to take a spacewalk sans suit. Software is atrociously expensive. I was just suggesting an addendum to your current hardware menagerie, since all of the software you'd need on the mac (if it were your secondary computer) comes with it (like, say, iDVD), but you already have a fully-functioning Windoze box.

Josh - the dealio is that extra time I have, the extra cash I don't, not to buy a new computer system and all the attendant software I'd have to get for a different OS. I have lots n' lots of software.

And I love my Bastet =) She's almost two years old now, and still on par with the majority of brand new computers *^_^* yay! Even if she is an evil HP pavilion... sigh.

The DVD burner drives are now 'cheap' enough, in the four hundred range, that make it worth a little effort to get working, rather than drop a grand plus on a new computer just for something that next year will be bypassed by new tech.

Granted I hadn't counted on it being this **much time and trouble**, but into every life a little rain must fall.

I took back the Sony dvd burner and made an even exchange (and got a new rebate form, so I'm not even out that money *^_^*) for the HP dvd burner.

I'll get my exboyfriend to teach me how to put it in myself this time, so I can pop drives in and out on my own. Last time he did it while I was playing with his new baby and I missed it =(

I am thinking of keeping the Phillips though. The finalizing time after you have the raw recorded material is less than 2 minutes!!!! And in the meantime you can play it on the Phillips until you are ready to finalize. My only upset is that I can't do minute edits. Which if I download on computer, I can do things like that and make nicer menues and so on, and more easily add extra fancy polish before the rendering/finalizing ... which unfortunately is excruciatingly slow.... O_o ohhhh...

The Phillips has the quick and easy record virtue, now that it's all set up. Damn it had a loooooooooooooong user guide that had to be read before actual use the first time. ack...!

Now, if I can get the HP drive installed, and working, then the Phillips goes back to the store and I chalk up the 15% percent restocking fee ($120) down to experience which is still way cheaper than buying a new computer. And I do enjoy learning things =) If I can't get the HP to work, then I'll return it, and keep the Phillips until the next wave of computer burners come by. But in the meantime I can fuss about with recording directly on my hard drive, editing, then playing the feed to the Phillips and recording neatly edited feed. But only for really important shows, otherwise just a digital copy is good, because I have tapes from the 1980s that **are** disentigrating, literally, the magnetic coating on the tape turning to black shimmery dust. gah...!!!

Musing... Since Deadly Force is all edited, I might fuss with my tape and get a signal enhancer to get around the tape protection so I can make a clean digital copy. I might have a black box a friend gave me in my garage. Never used it before but it might be fun to play with now.

That said... I might pick up an Apple something later, when I have more money. Yes Josh, your constant raving about the wonders of Apple is seeping into my wee kitty skull...

But it won't be for at least another year or two, when I can't fight the to need to upgrade to a whole new system. If there is something Apple spectacular out then, I'll seriously consider it.

okay, later!

Alright so I skipped yesterday's post. I thought about it, then decided to go to sleep instead.

In other news, someone in this apartment is gettin' some...and it ain't me. ::is bitter::

I met with a professor today about research for next semester. Seems I'll have to learn object-oriented programming if I'm to help with this. Should be a great deal of fun and quite a challenge, if I can acquire the necessary knowledge to start in on it.

***TGS COMMENTS***

Nothing immediately comes to mind that bugged me. Oh, except the astonishing lack of artwork for Alex in his exo-frame. This reader demands battlesuit artwork!

The Gwen/Harthoth thing was no big shocker, since I had already predicted it. But I like the way it was presented.

More on this as I read other people's comments. Okay, so I'm a "me too" kind of guy when it comes to these, mostly because I don't have the time to think of drawn-out critiques.

***END TGS COMMENTS***

I love having Gargoyles running all day long. And I get it 3 hours earlier over here since DirecTV gets east coast feeds. But that damn logo drives me nuts. I also noticed that they cut the footage of Goliath landing on Coyote 1.0 during the flaming ship scene in Leader of the Pack.

Heather: <<I know we get the reputation for being a bit more daring... well some of us... but doesn't mean that does it?>>: Actually, it means a lot. Almost ALL serial killers in this country are white males. I'm surprised they were black also.

Emambu: <<yet one more claim for Josh to make in favor of his beloved mac>>: Mac*S*. I own 2 8-)

Arrow: <<Hi?>>: Hello.

Mooncat: <<If you all don't hear from me in a while, it's because I'm dinking with the computer>>: Okay, so $600 (not sure on this figure, estimating you got a really cheap dvd writer for your computer and a really cheap DVD recorder), you still don't have it working, after a week spent futzing. And now you're reformatting. Just out of curiosity, is your time billable? If not, how much is it worth to you? I'd be willing to bet that (cost of 1st DVD writer) + (cost of Philips DVD recorder) + (hours spent trying to get DVD writer to work, returning it, setting up the Philips, reformatting your HD, setting up the new DVD writer) is less than even a new iMac with superdrive (nevermind a refurbished one that you could get for a lot less). So none of that "can't make the investment in apple hardware" nonsense, if you please. Already found an iMac with superdrive for $1399 with a cheaper upgrade to 3-year warranty.

I wanted to archive all the episodes on DVD. I have a DVD burner and I bought a capture card but technical limitations are making it impossible.

Does anyone have any idea if there are DVD release plans for Gargoyles?

I thought so. But I am recording it. LM's father has our Disney Afternoon copies and he keeps saying 'We'll go through it all later', so I will probally never see them again.

Anyway, I can't wait to get a new copy of Hunters Moon. I need to see that ep again for a story I am writing.

Say... am I the only one that thinks Elisa should get her hair cut to shoulder length or shorter? :)

Yep... "Deadly Force" was editted. I'd kind of figured it would happen, too.

Between the edits and the logos... I don't think I'm going to invest any more time or videotape into making another set of recordings. My copies off the old Disney Afternoon may be out of order, but at least all the dialog is intact.

Actually -- we have RCN... Rated like the worst cable provider.. The government came down on them and has been fining them, forcing upgrades... People in my area have been suing them etc... I mean we wont have digital cable till at least the 2006 date where they have no choice ... that was part of it ... so what did they do?

They sold us to some rinky dink firm -- I forget the exact name(IE like joe's cable -- it is that bad sounding)... So who knows what is going to occur with our service...

I do know we have one-way cable modem access and it gets worse ping rates than most dialups -- I dont think I have seen better than 250 ms to anywhere really. Plus it tends to put the throughput on the dl side when tested online closer to ISDN than cable.

Not that they have any competition -- there is NO DSL in the area either... I mean it has been significantly less than a decade that we have had cable at all... Ditto dialup internet access(for a good while it was only long distance from here)... and this is NJ/PA border Rte 78 corrodor...

I dont know what they are thinking ;)

Hi, don't mean to bug you guys, but when are you going to finish season 4 of the Gargoyles? I can't wait to see what happens after Elisa and Goliath's wedding. And what is the Nightshade project? And if you ask me, Tomara is quite the sly one, don't you think? That picture cracked me up.

So, let me know when your nearly done ok, even with my studies, I always make time for Gargoyles. And keep up the great work.

KATHY - Thanks for explaining a bit about that Russian flashback. So their talk about revolution in 1905 wasn't perhaps quite so "12 years too early" after all.

* ANGEL SPOILERS *

Another good one. I liked Cordelia and Connor's team-up (at least neither of them will be alone while Angel's sorting out all of these mysteries). And I really felt sorry for Lorne (although I'm relieved that Wolfram & Hart didn't kill him; I was afraid that that was what was going to happen, and I like the guy. In fact, he's one of my favorite characters in the show).

I hadn't even thought that what Lorne saw prophesied in Cordelia's song (and she's desperately in need of singing lessons, if you ask me) could be the same as that "From beneath it devours" critter in "Buffy". Good observation, Kathy.

Incidentally, I got a kick out of those references to the Mayor's Ascension in Cordelia's yearbook.

My stupid VCR decided to tape in SP instead of EP so I just got home to find out I've already missed getting "Awakenings, Part 5" and "Leader of the Pack" thanks to the tape running out after two hours I'm waiting now for the top of the marathon's 4th hour to start a new tape. But as I sit here watching the end of "Leader of the Pack," I'm already finding the big logo they keep flashing on the screen REALLY annoying. My older tapes may be a little bit fuzzy, but at least the Disney Afternoon logo wasn't insanely huge.

What Leo said. That big flashing "Marathon" message is just hideous. Guess they are afraid bootleggers will try to make decent copies, or they just enjoy screwing with the fans. sigh...

I think these are the unedited versions. 5 episodes of Awakening took 2 full hours without commercials. eep! I was really worried as the digital display was counting down those last few minutes, wondering if it would all fit. I also noticed the "barefoot through hell" line was intact. Didn't someone say that had been pulled? I can't remember and I don't know if there is any site with a list of the edits.

Hmm... even with the horrible overlay, it's only a few seconds at a time. It might be worth it if these are unedited. Won't know for sure until it hits City of Stone, and we'll findout if the word "terrorist" gets cut.

Well, I'm starved. Quick bite while Thrill of the Hunt plays. I'm only taking out the commercials on Awakening to fit five eps together, just four eps a disk for the rest and going to let them play through with commercials and all. Will have to take this disk out half way then reserve it for the last two eps tonight, to get them to fit chronologically. woo hoo...

May have a special announcement later. *^_~*

Gargoyles marathon:

Of course Toon Disney had to ruin it for anyone trying to make good tapes by flashing their big ass "Gargoyles Marathon" logo that takes up the bottom third of the screen.

Bastages :P

Spacebabie:<<I suffer under the evil thumb of Adelphia aka my crappy cable company that has a GOLF channal but not Toon Disney…wtf?>> Adelphia? I thought Orlando was Time/Warner (according to their web site) and Toon Disney is part of their Digital Cable package.

POWER!

YAHOO! THE ELECTRICTY IS BACK ON!!!!

My whole frikken village had a power cut for nearly 24 hours because of the extremely windy storm we had! it was a nightmare!

Though it did give me time to spend with my family and i was happy about that... until Monopoly! I now hate my dad very much, becuase he put a hotel on Mayfair (The most expensice place) And I had to give him £2000!!!!! I landed on it twice!!!! Grrr... I hate that game. Still it was funny when we played Cluedo and we made a mistake when we putthe murder cards in. At the end we got really confused because it seemed everyone had the murder weapon cards, so we checked and discovered that the murderer was Prof. Plum, in the conservatory with the Library. HA! that was funny.

Gargoyles Marathon> My cable provider shows that both Deadly Forces and Enter Macbeth will air on the final hour. I guess because the recap for Enter Macbeth includes stuff from Deadly Forces. <<More TGS Spoilers/comments>>

Yes, good to see Harthoth again. [I'm Not going to spoil any more :)]

Which reminds me we. After they start timedancing again I believe they're due one or more vists to ancient Unu. - All the hints from Harthoth and Thoth in "Sun and the Serpent" seem to point to such an event, probably a brief encounter whith them overlapping the 3 years young Brooklyn spent there:
Both hinting at young Brooklyn to "stay with the gate" and Harthoth's "The time dancer must be free" statement.

Then there's the dinner conversation with brooklyn where Harthoth mentions that Brooklyn's 19th century visit (Brooklyn's first) was his "*third* time cronologically" meaning there is a yet unaccounted for visit between Brooklyn's arrival in 6000BC and the 19th century.
Also there's Myrt mentioning somthing about wondering for centuries what Brooklyn's mate looked like. - harthoth probably told her after Brooklyn had Timedanced out of ancient Egypt.

Also there is the matter of harthoth obtaining the records of ther time dances. Harthoth to Sata: "What makes you think you haven't" from "deals and exchanges"

Also here's a question (may have been answered long time ago).

If Meyrt-Isis means "Beloved of Isis", what does "Har" mean from "Harthoth" ?

:)

Well, my satelite built in guide actually has the info for the marathon! Usually it never says what episode, and now it does! They eps ARE airing in order, EXCEPT Deadly Force. That is on at 11 pm EST. Then the series continues on in normal uninterupted order. And I've already set which ones I need to see (I haven't seen them all yet! Patrick -- it starts here at 2 pm central time. So I'd guess it's 3pm your time. I'd go with the earlier time if there are conflicting info sources. It will most likely start with Awakening, so if you are off, it's not too big as that is often replayed and available on commercial video.

Here's to the event!

I took back the Sony DVD writer, as I spent over a week trying to get it to author a DVD and wasn't getting anywhere. I traded it for a HP DVD writer, which I'll try to install tonight. In the meantime I picked up a Phillips DVD recorder, which is like a VCR. So no matter what I intend to get the marathon on dvd. Dinking with the Sony has my computer all fazzeled =( So I'm going to reformat tonight. Just backed up my HD on my external HD. If you all don't hear from me in a while, it's because I'm dinking with the computer.

later!

*peeks in for a moment*

Dreamie: You're assumptions are correct. It's an e-mail virus, and neither Christine nor Lynati sent it to you knowingly. In fact, I highly doubt either one of them is infected with this virus. What's more likely is that someone who does have this virus also has Lyn's and Christine's e-mail addresses on their contact list. It copies itself and sends out an e-mail with a "spoofed" name. Most worm viruses work that way these days.

The real validation is in the text. From my own run-ins with the virus (thankfully never have contracted it myself), and through several other friends who've gotten similar messages, this seems to be the default text (or some variation of it). Then there's always the attachment file itself: title.doc.bat, or (my favorite) title.txt.src

Just delete 'em and forget about them. I wouldn't even bother e-mailing the people that it says you received the mail from. Like I said, chances are good that the name was spoofed from someone who _does_ have the virus and has those names on his/her contact list. The real person infected is masked. Usually, it's an Outlook Express problem (yet one more claim for Josh to make in favor of his beloved mac).

I'm ready for the "Gargoyles" marathon. I've got a dozen blank tapes ready and I just hooked up a new VCR that records static free. I just need to find out for sure what time the marathon actually begins tomorrow. The TV listings say 4 PM EST, but a commercial on Toon Disney just said 3 PM EST. And since I'm going to have to set the timer to start the tape... I kinda need to figure out which one is right.

That's the 'generalization' though. This is not to say that serial killers can't be female, nor black, (nor asian, nor hispanic, etc) It's just that proportionally speaking, most of the insane maniacs who do these kind of things are white. <:)

Ok, I've gotten over my candy high from last night. That comment about the top 10 thing was a joke. I think screwing it up shows character. Anyhoo...

Mooncat> I'm actually on eastern time. I live WAY on the east coast. And I still love that KP game! Though I kinda like Bueno Rufus a little better now.

*comes in singing* I've been listening to too much Cats.

ANYWAY!

Sniper arrest: FINALLY! I know they're going to say there might be more stuff to convict them but I'm glad that is killing is over.
Wednesday or Thursday I heard people at my high school say at lunch and I quote "I'm surprise it was black guys. Usually white people do this crazy stuff."

Huh? I know we get the reputation for being a bit more daring... well some of us... but doesn't mean that does it?

Flugtag was hysterical! Complete morons trying to "fly" off a ramp. One guy was basically handcuffed to a giant martini. They did an Austin Powers skit and acted as if the giant martini falling into the water was the Dr. Evil death trap. Another guy dressed up as batman with more solid wings and launched himself off the ramp. Hopefully I can get some pictures up.

After Flugtag we had food, saw The Transporter (which was pretty good), then had more food.

And finished it all off with the Simpson's halloween marathon on UPN.

Mooncat: <<hot diggity dog diggity BOOM>>: Redneck.

Revel: <<I re-did my art galler page on my site so it is more dial up friendly>>: Even us high-bandwidth people appreciate it. The new art looks great! <<Go see what GXB would look like if he were a gargoyle>>: A bit thin, dontcha think? <<NyQuil is the keep to all you 12 step recover program people, it's over the counter, you can drink it, it's the 13th F-ing step>>: Nyquil is my friend.

Andrea: <<why can't deadly Force show at 10:30 monday>>: Because they hate you. <<Can we ever get the top 10 right?>>: Its not really important in the grand scheme of top 10.

DPH: <<came back at as spam>>: Yup. <<All that was>>: Well, when most of your emails are marked as spam, it recognizes the pattern.

Todd: Good points on Buffy.

Hyperion: <<Sorry about not replying>>: In my infinite wisdom, I have decided to forgive you.

Gside: <<took DSD>>: Is that like LSD? <<Unfortunately also true>>: Why is it unfortunate? <<Nice perks>>: I think not. <<Herring and mead>>: Not necessarily in that order.

Impfac: <<talking to chicks>>: Aren't you gay? Or do you just use that as the excuse for why you aren't getting chicks (yes, this does actually happen)?

30. All bumbling conjurers, clumsy squires, no-talent bards, and cowardly thieves in the land will be preemptively put to death. My foes will surely give up and abandon their quest if they have no source of comic relief.

ME:

I got high for the first time ever! I’ve smoked, but didn’t get high. Now, being off my meds, I got nice and buzzed. For the first time I really enjoyed it.

I’ve been hanging out with friends and opening up, talking to chicks, getting nice clothes, and so on. I’m not obsessed with anxiety or self hatred. I gave up on carving things into my body (blood is fun). I’m finally getting healthy. I also treated myself to a 1/18th scale model of a Chevy Avalanche, which I took apart and put back together again. I’m also f((((king with the cops, but so far haven’t been pulled over. No desire to hurt myself, no death wish, no suicidal thoughts. I’m having FUN!!!!!

Soon it’s off to Canadia to hang out with Lain. Life isn’t so bad. Yeaa anti-depressants! 8-D

Christine> In other news > Becca is 8 years old today!

Woah! I thought she was, like, six yesterday? Congrats to you and yer seed =P I’m SOOO JEALOUS. I want a kid :*( Someday....

Patrick >>>Sniper talk > "We interupt this special report with a special report, to tell you that we have nothing to tell you. I think I'm officially brain dead now. I'm glad to see the media hasn't lost its touch.

I don’t think this situation is new for you somehow ^,^ But honestly, a random person being murdered in the nations capital just makes you go, ‘YAWN!’??? I don’t get it...

Iron Wolf> you sound like the kind of guy that can keep a good conversation going (you seem like the devil's advocate type heck so am i)

Actually, I become the cold hearted conservative, and force myself to take radical right positions even though I don’t ALWAYS buy in. Ask metal demon. But yes, if you like jokes, sarcasm, and gentle jabs at you and vicious ones at yourself, yes. You can email me if you’d like, or IM me. Just send me an email (impfac@yahoo.com).

>>dont worry about the room me and some one else got into a hug flame war years back over a missunderstaning it happens.

Well, I feel bad Mooncat-and now space baby and I think patrick-hate me, but all my attempts with the kitty to make peace have been shrugged off. My theory is we should open an IM dialog and make nice (I could forget 2 bitters years in about 12 mintues flat), but she insists on ignoring me. Now SB is in on the game, and many more. I feel badly I’ve come across the way I have, but some people set a bad impression in ink. I don’t want enemies not because I’m a suck up as MC said, but because I just HATE the cold, hostile silence. MC should at least be willing to talk TO me, not AT me, and same with the others. But, I leave it up to them.

But, to all those who hate me: Email me. I’m an amiable guy, honest. Very warm and friendly, and a little randy and sarcastic ;) Gimme abuzz and make nice, and I’ll love ya. Ignore me and I’ll get irked, but will try to move on.

BTW: MC: I’d like to talk to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In private. Try it. I’m not such a bad guy.

>>>It would be neat to meet other fans face to face

Yes it would.

Seems to be it. I’ll poke my head in from time to time, and try to make/play nice. I’m a nice guy, honest, just sometimes people upset me and I fly off the handle (online, never IRL). See: What I said about Jen’s kid. BTW, why is Greg B. intitled to have a bad day but I’m just a total @#$@ when I have one? I didn’t mean what I said, I was simply deeply upset and angry that day, and made the stupid mistake of posting.

I’ll try to be good (^-^)

<<Oh well if Greg says it...has HE seen it?>>: Uncertain, bu the did make it.
<<You have never been started, either>>: Unfortunately also true.
<<You wish>>: Of course, it's such a great job. Nice preks.
<<How?>>: Body language.

Hyperion> <<I'll get back to the witty banter later. Sorry about not replying>>: Don't worry, witty banter is ephemeral by nature.

Hmm...been awhile. Let's see chances of me getting caught up on everything? Nearly zero. Too much on my mind recently, and, while I'm thinking that some people in the room might have constructive comments, I'm also not sure it won't touch off another flame war, and that the last thing I want. I shall have to ponder this at length.
Therefore, replies as follows:

Jaden> Dominion War? Der? I don't watch Andromeda *that* much . The only Dominion War I'm even passingly familiar with is the one from DS9. Sorry, not going to be much for opinions on this one.

Gunjack> Scroll down awhile to find the beginning. I started it. It's from a Red Dwarf episode. I'm sure Silverbolt can tell you more. Brief Summary: Android becomes human, decides to discuss his new "attributes" with another character. The gag is that he shows him two polaroids that when placed end to end...well, I'm sure you get the point now. Speaking of gagging I wonder how many polaroids you could...well, let's not go there...

Gside/Imzadi>I'll get back to the witty banter later. Sorry about not replying. Above comments explain why.

"So, who are you voting for?"
"I think I'll vote for Marie Crane. .. I do not like Santiago. I always thought that a leader should have a strong chin. He has no chin and his vice-president has several. This, to me, is not a good combination."

* BUFFY SPOILERS *

A bit on the late side, but here in St. Louis, the show doesn't air until Friday.

Much further development on Anya; we now actually see some of her pre-Anyanka life, including not only the "trolling" of Olaf but also a hint as to what got her so unenthusiastic about bunnies. Much of the dialogue in the Viking Age scenes, by the way (at least in the subtitles) had a definitely comical flavor to it, almost over the top (but what do you expect from Vikings? :) ).

Anya's going-over-the-edge in wiping out all the fraternity guys (granted, they were crude and insensitive, but even so, having a spider-demon rip out their hearts struck me as overdoing it) and horror and remorse afterwards was well-done. The part that really spooked me, however, was D'hoffryn zapping her friend (Haffren was her name, wasn't it?) in order to undo the curse, rather than Anya herself - followed by his dropping his pleasant exterior for once and truly acting like a dark and grim head vengeance-demon.

The one bit about the episode that really bothered me (and this is probably evidence once again that I tend to be too much of a nitpicker where historical background is concerned) was the 1905 Russia flashback, which implied that the Russian Revolution was already breaking out and the Tsar being overthrown as Anya and Haffryn are having their little chat; that didn't take place for another 12 years. Of course, there was some minor revolutionary activity in Russia that year (Bloody Sunday and the mutiny on board the Potemkin), but hardly on the level of the Tsar's deposition and the Bolsheviks subsequently seizing power. I know that it doesn't make that much difference to the overall story, but it still bothers me a little.

Nice to see that they remembered that bit about D'hoffryn contacting Willow as potential vengeance-demon material back in Season Four.

Andrea -- are you on central time? If you are on the east coast, it's an hour later, and if you are on the west coast 2 hours earlier... but I'm not sure how daylight's savings time will affect that. But if you are on central, set your VCR or let me know. If I get a decent copy I'll see if I can burn one for you. I can't promise until after I actually have it, because things can happen. Storms =( for one thing, because my local forecast is partly cloudy with chance for rain all bloody week. Today was lovely though, the sun came out =) First time in about a week!

Darn room reset, why does it have to shift around so much? ah well, umpteen something! In the name of the Fay!

Washington Cold!!!!

Hyperion- I do like Andromeda but it just feels like they aren't trying as hard as they should to keep things interesting. Oh well maybe tonights episode will be better. Don't you think that the Dominion War could have been done differently, more excitment? It was like they started it too late in the series and had to hurry to finish it.

Green Baron- Well share the wealth with the other poorly paid soldiers. ;) The trip there always sucks, going to Korea was bad, my butt feel asleep 5 times.

Dreamie- Nice patterns, probably go through about 40 pumpkins before I got it looks half way like a gargoyle.

Ravyn- I don't say 'good-bye' so I'll see you later.

What? Room reset already? It's still Saturday!

Anyway, my town had it's Trick-or-Treat today 5-7pm. It's raining, so we only got like 2 dozen kids. And we have a ton of candy left, even though I gave a handful to almost every kid (but I have small hands too...)

Now why can't deadly Force show at 10:30 monday? I have to work until 10! Oh well, I can always record it on my satelite reciever (I have a Dish Network 501 reciever, and you can record shows onto the hard drive and watch them later! You can also rewind stuff from the past hour, but that clock resets everytime you change the channel. it helps when you miss a big footbal play when going pee).

I am hooked on that New Kim Possible cheerleading game! i usually don't like cheerleaders (no offense to anyone who is/was one), but Seeing wack himself is funny, and Rufus is SOOO cute! To bad he's still naked.
