I don't have much to say, other than to report that Lain and Gunjack have gone straight past the standardcrazy route of wearing aluminium hats, and went ahead and started to wrap their house.

I see we haven't had any quotable quotes for a while. I was going to type something nonsensical to fill the void, but instead, I just thought I'd ask a question, perhaps to help move things along: does anyone have any favorite quotes from Gargoyles?

I have several, but right now, the one that readily comes to mind (probably because it's raining outside) is the conversation at the end of "Double Jeopardy":

Owen: "Are you saying that creature is still out there, he has the money, he's as strong as Goliath, and...he's smarter then you?"
Xanatos: "Owen, I think I've created a monster."

Lynati> <<It's more technical, more medical>>: My brother seemed to like it. Then again, he drew a lot of insides, and is now making signs for the Philly airport.

HoE > I recently bought a copy of every old Genesis album on CD that they had at Borders because most the tape cassettes I had wouldn't even play anymore. I don't think I've ever heard the remix of "I Know What I Like," but there was a nice remix of "The Carpet Crawlers" on the "Turn it On Again" greatest hits album that was put out a few years ago. I also picked up both of the Genesis Anthology box sets and discovered a number of songs I'd never heard before on any of the albums.

I'm not sure what's caused the massive slide in Phil Collins' songwriting ability since he left the group, but I think Disney's "Tarzan" is partially to blame for it.

Patrick: I ordered the Genesis album "Selling England by the Pound" last week off of amazon.com. It's certainly a far cry from Phil Collins's Genesis. Not that that's a bad thing. I've been on a large progressive rock kick lately, and thought the first two tracks were amazing. Well, pretty much the whole album was. Now I'll need to reread "In the Blood." Also, I was wondering if you've ever heard the remix of "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)" that Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel did in 1999, and if it's any good. I think it's become one of my favorite Genesis tracks. For now. I still have to order "Nursery Cryme" and "The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway."

One of the things I've always found interesting about the group is that when someone left, the others never bothered to find replacements (except in 1997, when Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, and Ray Wilson released the forgettable "Calling All Stations"). Pink Floyd's another group that did that. Probably because no bass player they could have found would have come close to having Roger Waters's songwriting ability. I mean, they did have a bassist, but the picture inside the jacket for "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" is just Rick Wright, Dave Gilmour, and Nick Mason.

Gside: Actually, Gray's isn't on my list. It's more technical, more medical; I have referenced it before, but it's not as good for anatomical *drawing* as some I could name.

Krista- HMS is on the corner of west Mulberry and Voertman's is on Hickory, that's where I got most of my supplies because I could just walk to them. There is a Hobby Lobby on 288 next to a Kroger's and across from the Golden Triangle Mall.

Speaking of which I need to hit the store, need a couple new brush pens.

I tend to shop both Michael's and Hobby Lobby, depending on what specials they're having. Hobby Lobby tends to have more illustration supplies and regularly runs 1/2 off specials on paper, markers, pencils, and other stuff. Michael's runs a color circular in the Sunday that usually features a 40% off coupon and sometimes also a 50% off for holiday weekends (like President's Day, for example). That's always handy for picking up the odd replacement Prisma.

Krista: what *sort* of art book? a book on a type of art or specific artist, an anatomy reference book, a tip book for drawing? I happen to know a few good anatomy references, if that happens to be what you are after.

and if you are looking for a pencil to shade with, Ebonies are nice. Just go light on the pressure.

Krista: Try Hobby Lobby. I work there off and on (new post college career job yay!) and its the cheapest place I know of. It's based outta Oklahoma, so there is probably one somewhere nearby in your area. If you find it (phone book listings? or hobbylobby.com) check the website every week cause stuff goes on sale every week. And alot of the time its like half off. There are other places like Michaels but on the other hand, there is one next to Hobby Lobby here (yeah who's great idea was that) and I've compared prices (I'm poor!) and Hobby Lobby is still waaaay cheaper on a normal day than Michaels on a sale. Also, I recommend searching around for some clearance stuff there. I got a set of Cretacolor pencils, normally $25, for $5 cause it was missing the black one (oh well). So yeah. Good Luck!

<[What I can contribute are ideas, nutty theories and assorted junk ;) that might help the actual writers in the development of their stories.] That’s actually what we need the most, and you’ve already shown you’ve got a good handle on that sort of thing.>

All fine here, then. I have a couple extra ideas, but better wait with those until I finish Pendragon s4, just to be sure that there are no contradictions.

<We would have asked you to familiarize yourself with those first, for the very purpose of avoiding such mistakes. And as Timedancer is currently on the backburner until we get Gargoyles 4 and Bad Guys 1 further along, it’s going to be months before *we’re* ready to move back to focusing on it.>

After a week end of non stop reading, I only have part of Pendragon season 4 and all of Dark Ages to read, so the familiarization part shouldn't take much longer. It's a pity that Garg season 3 was not up to the awesomeness of the joint season 2 (I particularly dislike Demona's portrayal, no offense intended to all those who were involved in the writing).

<And we all have RL concerns and tend to be very understanding of them; if you find yourself with more free time months down the road after you’ve had a chance to read through the rest of TGS and want to become involved, well, you know where to find us. ^_^ >

Oh, I will. Don't doubt it. Meanwhile I will just keep producing random insane ideas for the time to come. ;-)

<And by the way, your handling of the English language seems a lot better than at least ten people I’ve known from this Comment Room over the years who spoke it as their native language.>

Hey! Thank you! :) The main problem (as someone mentioned before) is that I miss the meaning of most idioms and that I need quite a bit of time to think what I want to say.

*dph starts to enter the cr and is promptly knocked out completely cold by his hologram*

Yo, moron, don't you remember my specs? By your own specs, dph is not allowed to enter when he is sick (among other cases) and I'm supposed to enter in your place.

No apologizes for that, gotta reinforce the idea into dph's head about me needing to be around from time to time. If you haven't figured it out yet, it's the dark side of the hologram in charge right now.

DPH finally got a way overdue sinus infection of doom.

What is the world coming to?

Yesterday, I read an article on Yahoo News: Oddly Enough section where a man got 27 years for lying. It was his 3rd offense. I'm sure if we all looked hard enough, each and every president/would-be president has committed at least 3 crimes and under the various 3 strike laws around the USA, everyone of them should have been looked away for virtually life. Did I just say that?

*dph's hologram collapses and moments later gets back up*

Finally, I caught the dark side in a moment of weakness and overcame him. Most three strike laws are incredibly stupid. A man convincted of shoplifting once, five years later writes a hot check, and then five years later writes another hot check could face a huge prison sentence.
