Oh, by the way, the original idea was not mine. I guess I should have said that last night, when I saw Greg's initial response.

Ahh. yes, it-auto-updated for daylight savings, but not for me travelling from Texas to Virginia earlier this week.

Spen: Possibly. My laptop's clock is supposed to auto-update; but the time the CR is set to is standard, regardless of what time zone you are posting from.

HoE> Well, GOliath brought up the exchanging tokens idea, and yeah I think at the time Demona wanted to avoid becoming her future self.

As for the uncut episodes, I have the uncut episode of "Vows" on tape, I still have all my decade-old tapes and there is no such scene.

Well, Demona was inspired by the whole "exchanging tokens" idea to give Goliath half of the Phoenix Gate. But it could also have been influenced by a desire she had at the time to not become her future self (and the older Demona had told her not to share it).

By the way: I have heard of the existence of a website that has a list of every shot ToonDisney has edited out of the syndicated Gargoyles episodes. Does anyone have the link to this site?

PS, Greg: From what I've heard (I don't remember, I haven't seen the original, unedited "Vows" in almost ten years), there is a shot that shows Demona's interest in the wedding in the unsyndicated version of "Vows." Can't say I know for a fact, though.

HoE> Young Demona learned magic out of a desire for power, that was always there.

And it was Goliath who was curious about the human wedding, not really Demona. Look at Vows again

Hey, just a random theory I've been mulling over for a while. It occured to me that young Demona (circa "Vows" and "Long way 'Till Morning") was extremely curious about humans and their ways. She learned human magic and was fascinated by their wedding ceremony. It's clear she has an inquisitive nature and is very bright. So my thought was that something very traumatic, probably violent, happened to villianize humans for her. I know it may be tough, but try and picture an adolescant girl being beaten or raped or worse and then seeing the massacre. HAS to leave a giant scar and plant the seeds of distrust. Just a theory. Any thoughts?

What's with the remixed theme songs? In the manipulated "original theme" I'm hearing stuff from Star Fox 64!!!!! Can you post, or email me the original original theme?? I can't think of anything I could do for you in return, but you'll probably get more visitors on your site by offering the original themesongs too.

Rodlox> <<I thought there were only two Popes (not counting anti-Popes)>>: Let's not forget the Chaos Pope and his Arch Popes: http://www.goats.com/archive/040227.html And there's many more if you count Discordian Popes.

Thanks for the info.

<<he Eastern Orthodox pope is new last year, though.>>

*blinks* eh? I thought there were only two Popes (not counting anti-Popes)...the Catholic and Coptic. the Orthodox, I'd thought (particularly after a vacation in Turkey) had no Popes...though the exact word escapes me right now...I had it a moment ago.

Garg reference sighting: http://catharsiscomic.com/archive.php?strip=050411-160923.jpg

And I'm slightly sad. While cleaning up my computer, I was too quick in deleting the old version of project 64, and so lost my N64 game states, including completed Mario and both Zeldas. Smash isn't so bad, doesn't take too long to unlock all that.

Don't forget - you've got a chance to tell your tale of The Eye of Odin for this year's Gathering Anthology. In 3000 words (or less) or in black and white or color illustration (we need both interior and cover art)fill in a little more of the Eye of Odin saga either pre or post "Eye of the Beholder". But don't wait. May 1st is the Deadline for all your submissions.

No idea on when the cardinals will get around to choosing a new pope... At any rate I find it very odd that so many people on TV were swooning over JP -- He was one of the most anti-american popes we have had in recent memory... The new pope(whoever he turns out to be) will almost certainly be better for the USA than the old one.
