Ann is fun people. When she discovered gargoyles, we would often go gargoyle hunting at walgreens or KB toys. She collected all of the second set of cards and gave me Demona for my birthday one year.

I think that France may not know they have no military victories.

My friend Ann sent this to me. She must have been very bored.

"Greetings,

This is made my day. :)
1- Go to www.google.com
2- Type in "french military victories" -- without the quotes.
3- Instead of hitting "Search" hit "I'm feeling Lucky" ( the buttons are side-by-side).
4- Tell your friends -- before Google nukes these people.
Enjoy,

Ann"

Hey, everyone. Just got back from my first freelance gig. I spent most of the day today (from 2:30 PM onwards) working as a grip for this small indie film down in Richmond. It was very low-tech (we were filming in the director's apartment) and for deferred pay, but hopefully it will help lead to other things. I'll be helping him again in about a week.

Spen> Yeah, saw it - but I'm not going to update any 'post dates' on stories in the GFA, sorry. As soon as any author fixes typos in his story, the date will get updated anyways..... and as for a missing story, that's something only the author himself can fix now - we don't have a backup of all the old stories any more. If there was anything else beside this, I might've missed it....

I guess I'll ask this question again, since the last time I posted it, it was the day the room got wiped: does anyone know of any websites where obscure DVDs may be purchased? I'm trying to find a movie called "Mister Freedom."

HARVESTER - I hope that the people who made that Castlevania game got the Tolkien estate's permission to use those references.

I'm glad that you've finished "The Godslayer", and am looking forward to your reviews of both it and "The Dragon's Treasure".

***** TGS CR INFORMATION UPDATE *****

CR ARCHIVE:

The 2005 TGS CR Archive has been updated to include the weeks of October 10, 2005 through November 27, 2005, for a total of seven newly added files. A link to the week of 1/31/05 - 2/7/05, which was previously missing, has been added to the Consolidated Archive. (Thanks to Spen for informing me of the missing hyperlink!)

2005 Archive:

Framed Archive:

Consolidated Archive:

Thanks to everyone who gave feedback on the format they prefer for the CR Archive. I'll wait approximately one more month to acquire additional opinions. Thus far, it looks like the original formatting for the CR Archive is preferred over the Framed and Consolidated Archive formats.

CR TEXT COLOR PAGE:

The spelling of "Dark Magenta" has been corrected. (Thanks, Spen, for pointing this out! Also, thanks to Harvester of Eyes' for his entertaining feedback!)

Hey, the CR picked up. Rock and roll.

Todd: One thing I've noticed so far is that the Playstation game "Castlevania: Symphony of the Night" (which my friend and I consider one of the best games made for the PSOne, still better than a lot of the PS2 games) referenced the Silmarillion a lot, with the names of a lot of the weapons and accessories in the game (oftentimes very appropriately, as with the Fist of Tulkas).

To answer your question, I recently started "Dragon's Treasure." I haven't posted in a while. I think I'm just gonna wait and tackle that and "The Godslayer" in one post.

Oh, and for the record: Demona looks appealing in just about anything. ( ;

SPEN - Thanks for pointing that out to me. I must have forgotten to include the words "to sleep" and thought that I'd included them while putting in that parenthesis.

BISHANSKY - Why am I not surprised that you'd find the notion of Demona in a leopardskin outfit appealing?

GUANDALUG - Yes, next year, once the comic comes out, I'm going to have to start doing the updates.

Purplegoldfish : You're welcome.

Harvester : Hope you enjoy the Silmarillion, I know I certainly did.

Guandalug : "As for TGC... well, I doubt Greg will EVER ramble on THOSE episodes" Except for "The Journey" of course. Incidently, did you see my list of errors from the fanfic archive?

Todd : There was a slight error in your review of "The Gathering": in the line "Sending the entire human population of Manhattan (except for Xanatos and his family, who are safely inside the force field), he swells up into a gigantic form..." you didn't mention what exactly Oberon did to the population of Manhattan.

Lynati : I was wondering, what ever happened to the idea of sending me what you had in your TGS encyclopedia? You have the e-mail address.

HoE> Well, Greg doesn't consider the old Marvel comics to be canon material. And for good reason, I didn't think they were very good at all. Best thing I can say about them is Demona's leopard skin outfit in issue 9.

Todd> Don't mention it, you earn the praise. As for TGC... well, I doubt Greg will EVER ramble on THOSE episodes. As for the tidbits - whenever you feel you want to update a review, just send it my way, and I'll include it. It's not as if that's a huge workload (unlike updates to the "Gargoyles Encyclopedia" you wrote :)

Thanks, Guandalug! I will admit that I thought of waiting until Greg did his rambles for the last few Season Two stories (from "The Gathering" onwards) before starting on "The Gathering" and the episodes after it, so that I could have more material for the "Tidbits" section (he provides so many interesting behind-the-scenes revelations in them), but since I didn't know (and still don't) when he'd be able to get to them next, I decided to keep on going. It'll end at "Hunter's Moon Part Three", though; since I haven't seen any of the Goliath Chronicles episodes for many years, they're not fresh enough in my memory to review.

After not reporting it in here for quite some time, I think Todd Jensen deserves to be praised again: His insightful reviews can now be read for all stories up to (and including) "The Gathering". So, now he even passed Greg W. in his rambles - for Greg didn't yet ramble about "The Gathering" at all :) Todd got 7 more episodes to go to the end of Season 2.....

Now, there's STILL the list of _six_ missing summaries for Season 2, plus another _seven_ from season 3, and I know people signed up for doing them. Let's see if we can get at least 2 or 3 summaries before Todd finishes his reviews.......

Oh, and one more thing: I'm desperately seeking somebody who'd sum up and review the 9th Marvel comic (The egg and I) - preferably before new comics will be getting out next year :)

HARVESTER - I'd say that it's a little early to start panicking. For all that we know, they might have just taken him out and given him a decent burial so that his decaying remains wouldn't render the comment room unvisitable.

Congratulations on reading (or at least starting on) the Silmarillion. It may be difficult to read in parts due to the archaic style, but it's certainly worth it. It's also the Middle-earth story that Tolkien really wanted to tell, as opposed to "The Lord of the Rings" (which he originally started on only because his publishers wanted a sequel to "The Hobbit" - and then, as he continued writing the sequel, more of the mythology of the Silmarillion started getting pulled into the book).

So where are you on Pendragon now?

Todd: I was just making another reference to seven. But as far as I know, he's still lying on the CR floor with no head.

*looks around for the body and finds nothing*

Uh, oh.

On an unrelated topic, I just wanted to say that Vinnie might have actually done the fandom a favor in the Station 8 CR about two weeks ago. I've been reading over the comics at the link he provided. Well, I've only gotten as far as the first one. I'm still trying to get through Pendragon in addition to reading an old-fashioned analog book (Tolkien's "The Silmarillion").

Among other things, though, the first comic I read did help explain why Demona was not tremendously shocked the next time she saw Elisa in the cartoon (after "Long Way to Morning").
