Happy Holidays everyone, regardless of what species you are.

~~
As for possible discussion topics...I was watching _Before the Dinosaurs_ on Discovery Channel, and it hits me that the Scutasaurus, one of the giant mammal-like reptiles of the Permain Era, looks very very much like Bronx.

Does this mean the gargs could be a surviving lineage of mammal-like reptiles? (rather than being true mammals, true birds, or true reptiles)

just a thought.

Finally got both of my pcs operational at the same time. Bad news, though. I only have 1 good keyboard so somebody is going to have to buy a keyboard when stores reopen. I'm trying to download the software on my old pc so I can use aol's free internet connection (which is tons more stable than my isp) so I can have my pc downloading all the windows updates while I sleep without me having to worry about losing connection while downloading. It's taking forever to download the aol software to use their connection.

An early Christmas present just arrived at the GFW - courtesy of Todd Jensen: The reviews of the season's final of Season 2: Hunters moon

Once more, thank you very much for all this efforts, Todd - your reviews are highly appreciated and already are a valuable addition to the GFW, being as well-researched as they are. Your reviews helped to 'correct' the sometimes one-sided view on certain episodes by completing or counter-pointing the already available reviews.

DPH> If you get the synopsis done before Dec. 30, it'll be up this year :)

And now, may you all have a merry Christmas, winter solstice or whatever else you decide to celebrate the coming days. I'll be out of town for a few days, so changes on the GFW will have to wait 'till I'm back :)

" . . suddenly, a wonder appeared on Earth. Lost mail shall be delivered . . . to the original sender . . . 95 days after it was sent . . . and this sender will have held the number 95 in high regard . . . "

It arrived, it arrived, it arrived. To what am I referring with my attempt at false prophecy? Simply put, my lost gathering payment. It turns out that I put the wrong zip code on the envelope. Everything else was right. I received the package today in an envelope from "Mail Recovery Center, PO Box 44161, Atlanta, GA". What's puzzling to me is where in heck this piece of mail has been? Last stamped date on my original envelope was September 29. I'm going to try again to send it to the proper place (for those of you who are wondering, I grew impatient with my mail payment to arrive, and paid online) because I sent the payment in the form of a cashier's check. This time I will be wiser; I'm going to use certified mail to ensure it gets there.

Guandalug la'Fay - I'm almost through writing my summary of "The Green" literally. I'm down to the point where Jackal sets the rain forest on fire. When I get from there to the end, I'll type my summary up. Right now, it's approaching 2 pages handwritten.

My brother is about to go through a divorce, unless things change dramatically. He'll be living with me through most of January. Yesterday, I managed to wrap 2 Christmas presents, I haven't done so since at least before my mom died. I was for my sister-in-law and nephew (I gave them a 3d puzzle that's a spherical model of the Earth, shwoing continents and countries) and one for my step-mother.

(I think) I have a decent topic for next week.

One TGS-related thing that I thought I'd briefly mention. I was watching "A Lighthouse in the Sea of Time" last night from the new DVD, and found myself (once again) regretting the fact that, when we had Merlin visit Castle Wyvern near the end of Season Two of TGS and interact a little with the gargoyles, that we never mentioned the Scrolls of Merlin incident and the impact that it had had, particularly with Broadway. (Hudson too, though I think that Jeffrey Robbins had the stronger influence over getting Hudson to learn to read than Merlin himself did.) I wish now that we could have found some way of bringing up the impact that it had on Broadway, actually meeting the person whose very writings opened his eyes to the value of reading (especially since we gave Merlin a scene with Broadway and Angela - though it was on different topics and a mention of the Scrolls might have felt dragged in). Oh, well, sometimes you just discover these things too late.

DPH : Thanks for the specs, they should help the process along. It should be completly mutated by Friday.

Todd : You're probably right about why the room is dead this week. Unfoutunatly, I can't think of a discussion topic.

Spen - Do I need to hand you specs on this mistletoe? *hands spen 1 gigabyte flash drive* Pass this along to your scientists. It's the complete documentation on all the ways that holographic mistletoe was designed to be mutated. It's fairly comphrensive - including instructions for altering its image and source code to whatever your hearts desire.

GUANDALUG - Thanks. I've already started on Part One, though I can't say as yet when I'll have the whole thing done. I want to have it done by the end of the year - we'll see if I can make that deadline or not.

It would probably help to revive the room if we could come up with a fresh discussion topic; most of the posts here have been along the lines of "Did you get my e-mail?" or Top Tens. We had a great discussion a couple of weeks ago when DPH raised the question of why Narnia's considered safe and Harry Potter's considered dangerous; maybe we need to think of more such discussion topics - and come up with them early enough in the week - to get things more lively.

Livelier topics in posts will mean a livelier comment room.

Lynati : Good to know. No need to hurry with a reply, I won't be getting it 'til new years at the earliest.

DPH : Actually, the mistltoe is in the process of being mutated as we speak. My scientists are a bit slower then some other CR dwellers'.

My grades are clear; I'm on track towards graduation. My grades turned out as I predicted; I have exactly *6* classes left until I grade, assuming I keep my grades up. My college made the world's largest Christmas stocking this year. Only thing up in the air is 2 filler classes I'm taking in the summer.

Hmm. The cr really must be dead. I left some holographic mistletoe waiting/wanting to mutate hanging around and it still hasn't mutated. I remember a few years ago, that mistletoe will be lethal by now.

I just got off the phone with my dad. Apparently, my Great Aunt passed away this past Friday. It's funny. Two weeks ago, I wrote her a letter (something I'd been meaning to do for a while, but it kept slipping my mind). I just hope that she got it in time.
