Speaking as one of the broken writers, it is very reasuring to hear that someone still cares about this linguistic trainwreck.

Real post later...

Hungry Shadows part 2 broke the writers.

All of them.

For a bunch of (essentially) first-timers, it was a pretty intense thing to write.

Part 3 has not been cancelled - it is currently in edits and almost (we hope) finished. There is a whole hell of a lot of background setup that has to be worked in, and it has to be done right.

Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Anyone has any idea when HungryShadowsPart3 is going to be released? It's almost a year since HSPart2 was released... has it been cancelled? I hope not,in fact I do hope I get to read the end of the story at least...

Spen: Yeah, I think that could also have potentially made for some interesting stories with Coldsteel, once he found out about it (he probably never stopped having feelings for Coldfire).

Green Baron: I enjoyed that list, but I'm afraid that I have to disagree with your friend about Monty Burns. Burns has a lengthy history of violating labor laws and safety codes. It wouldn't surprise me if any advertising contracts he might possess would not be sanctioned by any government.

Hmmm... I just thought of something: how's this for a crossover: A meeting between Monty Burns and Dominique Destine.

Gside> I actually wasn't too familiar with that race, though an interesting one was Micahel Ignatieff, a Harvard Professor who was born in Toronto and returned to Canada to run for Parliament. Deemed to be Trudeau-like, except he doesn't have the cool pimp-outfits worn by Pierre Trudeau, and I don't see too mnay other parallels, especially since Trudeau was cozy with Communism and Ignatieff's grandfather was Education Minister to Tsar Nicholas II. I don't know your view of the guy since he has made soem very derrogatory comments about Ukrainians....of ocurse I make my share of jabs against the French, but I am almost half French myself, and consider Bastille Day a day of moruning for any family of mine killed by the manure-reeking peasants of Paris.

Now for some humor about the election from blogger and personal friend, Damian Penny:

Top 10 reasons the Marijuana Party of Canada didn't win any seats

10. Spent the entire campaign budget on Doritos

9. Candidates couldn't stop giggling when they realized how much "election" sounds like "erection"

8. Supporters wasted all of election day watching the Chappelle Show marathon on the Comedy network

7. Actually, it turned out to be the Home Shopping Channel, but by the time they realized their mistake the polls had closed

6. Didn't spend enough time campaigning in Toronto

5. Spent too much time campaigning in Amsterdam

4. Most leading economists felt that their position on the so-called federal-provincial "fiscal imbalance" relied on outdated data and dubious macroeconomic theories, and was simply a blatant bid to bribe voters in key Quebec ridings, dude

3. I don't know, but I'm sure George W. Bush had something to do with it

2. Voters confused "Marijuana Party of Canada" for "Marxist-Leninist Party of Canada", which explains the massive Marxist-Leninist tide that swept the country yesterday

And the number one reason the Marijuana Party of Canada didn't win any seats...

1. Most Canadians whose brains and common sense had been completely destroyed by mind-altering drugs voted Liberal

Also, he includes a Simpsons guide to voting in the Canadian election.

Rev. Attila> <<disreputable jewel thief and rabble rouser Svend Robinson failed to steal a riding from Hedy Fry>>: And Sam Bulte lost hers after large contributions from MPAA, RIAA, etc. and deriding pro-user zealots.

Gunjack> <<Henceforth, I shall be walk the earth naked until my stories are done>>: Excellent. Maybe we should switch over to being an all nude tech support revue. I'm sure those lonely special ed directors wouldn't be able to get enough of my manliness.

Harvester : I personally think that Coldstone and Coldfire should have died during the Unseelie war; it would have given the same feeling that the Magus' death in "Avalon" gave. As it actually turned out, it felt like a bit of a cheat.

Gunjack> Mulrooney was in there for eight years and I admit the GST is not a good thing, but I would hardy put him in the category for eating kittens and babies (too high in cholesterol anyway). He was to the left of Bill Clinton.

I do know Lain doesn't like Paul Martin, though Chretien was in Parlaiment for 40 years and he was PM since 94, and that's too long. Darth Crouton was Apprentice to Sidious Trudeau, and Pauley Librano succeeding him does have a funny parallel to John Turner succeeding the armani-clad Pimp in '84.

I imagien Harper will last for a while and maybe longer than Joe Clark, but he will have to build concensus with Liberals or Dippers (he could promise to polish Jack Layton's head for a few key votes) depending on the issue, as I highly doubt he would form a coalition with Gilles Ducceppe and the Bloc.

I peronally didn't think the Tories would win, but I guess it will foreshadow the Congress and Senate shifting in 2006 . So who would you like to see replace Martin for leadership of the Libranos? I would guess Ignatieff or Brian Tobin, Newfoundland's most prominent dope dealer. I like Stronach and McKenna, from what I know about them. I would really like to see Quebec's Jean Charest become Liberal Party leader, but I doubt that would happen.

Now for the oddest part of the election was Saksatchewan's NDP Premiere Lorne Calvert endorsing the Tories

BTW, I didn't know if you and Lain even wanted to talk to GB since he re-enlisted. He can be a real wous, like my brother George. BTW, I thnk you would agree with getting rid of that stupid gun registry. The 5,000 RCMP that got laid off to fund it would have done a lot more to fight crime.

HoE> That is the same Green Baron. I'm the ghost of his sarcastic, perverted cat.

*looks around*
There's still a few fans out there (you know who you are - don't make me come and pull at your ears in person) who promised me an episode synopsis. It's 6 episodes in Season 2, and 7 in Season 3 that need a Synopsis. And then, I still need _one_ summary (and mayhaps a review) for an old Marvel comic: the page of issue 9, labeled 'The egg and I', is completely empty. I unfortunately lack said issue, so I cannot do it. Is there ANYBODY here who could lend me a hand and fill in the blanks? I'd rather have this done BEFORE Greg Weisman, Creature Comics and Slave Labour Graphics start issuing NEW comics (which, in turn, will be summed up and reviewed on the webpage). My email address is open for any kind of submission (except spam, that is).

*taps his foot impatiently, awaiting the promised summaries*

dph: <what are some of the worst story ideas ever written? Are there some so bad that it's funny?>

Are we talking about fan fiction or just any kinds of stories? Because I thought the last two parts of the Hitchhiker Trilogy were pretty awful, when compared with the first three.

GB><<I guess this is curtains for the Librano family, at least for a decade or so.>> Oh, I doubt that. It's just been so long since Mulrooney, everyone's forgotten what a Conservative government is like. Conservatives being what they are, they'll eventually cave to temptation and start eating live kittens and orphans on national television again, and then we can go back to the sane people for another twelve years. ;)

On the plus side, Paul Martin is gone. The Missus hated that waxy little stooge with a passion, and we both curse the day he usurped Chretien's throne. I hope his dismal year and change in the PM's seat was worth all the backstabbing he did to get it. :P

Gside><<So did you strip down and take a run around town?>> Absolutely. Further, I have concluded that it was the *clothes themselves* that were draining my creative energies. Henceforth, I shall be walk the earth naked until my stories are done.

It's the only way to be really sure.

Here's a little musing I had about Gargoyles/Pendragon Season 2: does anyone else think it might have been interesting if the Manhattan Clan suffered some sort of a loss? Granted, I don't know who that should have been, but just about every other gargoyle clan suffered some losses. I mean, sure, the Manhattan Clan had more connections, but still, it really would have driven the ugliness of war (even a war fought to defend a way of life) home.

In honor of Canada's election, I present a theory.

http://www.bolditalic.com/quotulatiousness_archive/GreenBaron1510.jpg

Now compare him to this image:

http://www.cbc.ca/canadavotes/images/cp/harper_9376962.jpg

Is the Green Baron the illegitmate son of Stephen Harper?

In other news, disreputable jewel thief and rabble rouser Svend Robinson failed to steal a riding from Hedy Fry, who often talks about crosses burning in St. George.

Pierre Pettigrew was defeated by the Bloq, but he can return to working fulltime for Lord Voldemort.

I guess this is curtains for the Librano family, at least for a decade or so.

http://www.urbanhermit.ca/images/libranos.jpg

Also, congratulations to the CPC elected in Quebec. This will help to make the CPC more of a Canada wide party, and as a minority Government, they'l have to work with the Stronach/Brison faction of the Libranos, plus if Steve Harper dons his leather vest some more, he may get Scott Brison back in the CPC :)

If I'm lying about this next statement, may trillions of lightning bolts from heaven strike me down: I ate lunch on Sunday with Keith Richards. It's been a few years since I spoke to him last (8-9 years). He hadn't changed a bit.

Here's a topic for the week: what are some of the worst story ideas ever written? Are there some so bad that it's funny?
