DPH <<Cowbody Beboop>>

Wow, are you sure you didn't get the Hentai parody version of "Cowboy Bebop"? I guess that would explain why you didn't like the soundtrack, you're watching the pr0n parody and thus didn't get to hear Yoko Kanno's brilliant soundtrack.

Gunjack - <and won my first EVER game of monopoly> I played against an old computer version of monopoly. Winning was a joke. My brother and I once played monopoly where we started off with $0. It took quite a while to build up wealth.

I finally watched the 1st DVD of Cowbody Beboop. The damn background music got annoying after a while. So far, the storyline seems ok. A couple of interesting things I noticed, though. I've noticed, generally, in sci-fi, when mankind learns to travel in space, projectile weapons go out of style and non-projectile weapons become standard, although in this case, the use of projectile weapons adds to the atmosphere of the series. Having seen only the 1st five episodes, I like the premise of the series, although having a bit more background to how things turned out in this universe the way they turned out would be nice.

patrick - Ok, how many does are there left to the Gathering on two days before tomorrow? two days after yesterday?

**WARNING: OVERDUE RANT**
It's been a while since I complained about THE MORON. Yes, him. What I've put with is pure b.s. I think I finally have something on him. I've noticed that past few times he's been at my house, he's been using the bathroom outside the house.

He had the gall to lecture me about complaining about him on the phone. Tell me something isn't wrong here. I've lost respect for him, a lot, not just for this, but for other actions. The problem is everytime he comes over here, he can't leave ME alone, even if he's over here for something else. It's that simple.

Believe me, if I had the financial means to move out, I would. Before I had an accident which caused my back injury, I had an uphill time getting work. This moron has a problem; he's a control freak. I'm about ready to say at least half of my emotional problems are caused by my relationship with him.

I've asked a friend of mine if I'm done my 'Christian' obligation to resolving and he's said I've met my obligation.

The only reason we have a relationship is because *I* am trying to reach out *despite* how he has treated me. I think I truely understand how Angela's relationship with Demona probably works, based on my life experiences.

He's had the gall to ask why I've missed church services: my answer is too sleepy to stay awake. Apparantly, he doesn't care about true worship.

If there was some government organization I could join so I could afford move out of this house, I would do so.

I've been told that I appeared the most happy when I was working 2nd shift and barely saw my dad.

I can't burn the anger out of my system that I have for the moron. Literally, I would tire out before I burned it up.

**END WARNING: OVERDUE RANT**

Can't wait for Matrix: Revolutions to come out this week. I rented Matrix: Reloaded to refresh my memory. Since things make sense, I must be crazy.

Lain - you know the funny thing is when I don't want to reach you, you're easy to find and when I do want to reach you, you're nowhere to be found. Thank goodness for email.

Flan still tastes good and it was real easy to make. I could make this almost while I'm 1/2 asleep.

**Yu-Gi-Oh Spoilers**

Ok, I've really enjoyed this recent dip into Seto Kiba's past. Beforehand, I had assumed everything had been given to him while Yugi was having to work for everything. A couple of stupid questions do pop up, though. After the events of 'Legendary Heroes' why in heck didn't Seto try to reunite the minds with the bodies? [Originally, I had dismissed 'Legendary Heroes' as only being around to solve a small plot problem, not lead to future plot development.] Sorry, leaving those people trapped in the machine is bound to bite you back sooner or later. At 1st, I was hoping that the revelation about Noah was b.s. Would kind of moron overlooks a computer left on that is not serving the company at all?

Speaking of age, I guess that makes Seto's age to be within 6 of YuGi's age. Still, that presents an interesting dilemna: How old was Seto when he took control of Kiba Corp from his step-father? The flashbacks show Seto, much, much shorter than he currently is. I'm guessing that I probably am expecting too much for that show.

Gunjack> <<Gyrates hips wildly>>: Sexy.
<<It's pretty soapy>>: It's by Rumiko Takahashi, queen of the love polygons, of course it's soapy.

<<It's crucifixes and sex toys>>: Combined? I didn't know you were behind Divine Interventions.

Lyn><<hey, are there any smooth-on distributor companies in San Antonio, do you know?>> I don't think so... We're their distributor for pretty much the lower half of the country. We're based here in Dallas, with a branch in Houston and Orlando, and we can ship. Dunno if that helps...

Lyn><<I'd expected the cure time to be longer; rubber tends to be about 24 hours.>> Resin is damn quick. Smoothcast 300q gives you a potlife of thirty seconds, and a demold of about a minute.
<<This stuff, you can de-mold after ten minutes- so I have an extra working day.>> Dunno if you've used 325 before or not, but watch it. It'll demold in ten minutes but 325 is a little wierd; it stays kinda flexible until it reaches full cure, which is about a day. if you leave preasure on the casting, it can deform, and then take a set and you end up with a messed up piece...

okies.
i checked the TGS mail today, and found some nice presents in the bulk folder. of particular interest were 3 emails from:

j_gargoyle@ hotmail.com (re: my details)
hudson01@airmail.net (re: re: message) and
vashkoda@ glaringdream.org (re: details)

only one of these email addresses seems familliar to me (vashs), however each of them was exactly 24k and had an attachemnt, which makes it smell like a virus to me.
thought id give a "heads up".

email on the subject of illustrating for TGS has been sent to randy at email provided.

Hi there, I was wondering if the folks who are writing for Episode 4 for Gargoyles need someone to illustrate key points in their Gargoyle story?

I would love to illustrate Goliath, Elisa and the rest of the gang. Im new to this website but have been a big fan. On yeah, side-comment, love the stories here. Don't worry, im not some newbie illustrator, I do have years under the belt so to speak.

So if any of the current writers need an illustrator, im willing to donate my talent to something as great as Gargoyles.

So, I got back to hours after I thought (it's five am here what with daylight savings and all) but I DID submit and updated profile. I'd compeltely forgotten I didn't have my site up at the time I originally created it...

Gunjack: hey, are there any smooth-on distributor companies in San Antonio, do you know?
and I'm going to try to get a hold of a digital camera tomorrow (you can borrow them out from the media center) and shoot some images. My dad asked what I was up to, and I'm thinking of sending him a phot-montage as an anwser.

*chews on lain*

Kjay: I never said I did taxidermy. I'm much more interested in gargoyles (and other chimeras)than real animals. and some of the stuff I am working with is abotu as toxic as formaldehyde (which I don't work with.) This is why you take precautions such as rubber gloves, respirators, goggles, and a ventilation system that could suck the skin off a frog.

so, I've almost finished carving down the wax for Bachue's skull; the second rubber mold of the original of him had set and I took it off, and I did the test for my poured liquid plastic (pretty spiff, it was). Brought in extra supplies, re-organized my studio space, and practiced first and second form in the lobby. first firm I have down to a; I've got back the intro and ending of second form, but not the middle.
Don't ask about third form, staff, or broadsword. I've not given them a try, and dread to.

Gonna take a couple hours tomorrow to go see Hell Boy, early on in the day...I've got several plaster molds to start; one more hand-mold, two faces, and a blank for a smaller muzzled face form, along with Bachue to try to finish. I'd expected the cure time to be longer; rubber tends to be about 24 hours. This stuff, you can de-mold after ten minutes- so I have an extra working day. I might just take a rubber cast of the skull itself if I get it done in time to do so. (The piece is due into the gallery on Tuesday.)

wish me luck. and stamina.

Lyn><<yes, that is the very one. and now, in an attempt to inspire you to do the geek-dance for the CR... Smoothcast 325 colormath (tm) series.>>
*Gyrates hips wildly*
I am SO good!*
<<and a better question would be, why is it that I get to do all this cool stuff, as you put it, and yet you are the one that has access to the whole f'ing lot of the products for free, hmm?>> Well, I get to use it for free, but the former boss disaproves a bit, and I still gotta watch how much I use... My USP mold took a gallon kit of rubber, and I've used more resin than I should have trying to get a bubble-free cast. So it's touchy.

You got pics o' how that stuff came out?

And sorry to hear about the kitten... : (

Ed><<Well, I don't really know what Inu Yasha is, but I guess it's the same soap opera stuff as I'm describing.>>
Inu Yasha is a currently popular anime. It's pretty soapy, and all the titles are like, "Smashed! Kagome's love is weak!"

Gside><<That's what I mean when I say it.>>
This job, man, it's beyond geek. It's chemistry and art and a little of the old snake-oil salesman. It's explaining nicely to the gentleman that it's not your fault that his thousand-dollar platinum-cure silicone kit doesn't work because he used masking tape on the model. It's crucifixes and sex toys and creationists and transvestites and a ton and a half of toxic chemicals to sort, stack, rack, pour, stow, and clean up after every monday morning. It's working all day under the watchful eyes of innumerable lifeless, blank-eyed replicas of your co-workers' heads, and going home at night with your pockets stuffed full of handguns and someone else's face in yer lunchpail...

:* )

...I *LOVE* my work!

So yeah. read a buncha hellboy shorts (hosted, oddly enough, by Playboy... o.O), encouraged a 15-year-old swedish counter terrorist in the use of short, controlled bursts, and won my first EVER game of monopoly, versus lain. all in all, not a bad day.

Fire Storm> <<Assuming, of course, that they READ my posts>>: You'd never know if, in passing your post, they would notice something vaguely familiar.
<<But then that takes all the fun out of it>>: Unless you use the opportunity to revel in the reactions of the others caught in the trap of iniquity.
<<They aren't THAT impressive>>: But that doesn't necessarially mean they wouldn't hold a grudge.
<<Hatched, "bursted," or in egg?>>: I'd say egg, to make for a more impressive presentation.
<<But at least that helps security a little>>: I guess, if you could get one variable set somewhere and then transfer somewhere else that'd open up more access with that.
<<I mean, some probaly can make good burgers, but for the most part you're right>>: It's not so much that they can't make good burgers, it's that they try to make them too fancy, using the wrong type of roll (maybe not even a roll at all), cheese (cheddar sauce trumps melted slices), or too high quality of meat (it should drip when I bite into it).
<<Yeah, but taking a hammer to said computer can be LOTS more fun!>>: Assuming you won't be trying to access the data again.
<<The good thing is that .htaccess is universal among most internet servers, even Micro$haft>>: Aren't standards wonderful?
<<But it still wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't>>: No, I suppose not, but this is a unix machine, and they tend not to have glaring security holes (for long).
<<Apache comes with the tools to setup the password>>: And that's another thing, I didn't know what the server was running.
<<I'm taking this to e-mail>>: Fine by me. Though I've been trying to keep things generalized.

Tharos> <<Neither the guys in Skynyrd or Nel were all that skilled on their instruments>>: Can't be any worse than Dylan.

Kjay> <<Do you have to be around that formaldhyde stuff?>>: I think actual formaldehyde has been pretty much phased out.

Whitebourne: Love the "Sweet Home" parody, man... I can't stand that song either, but the band has to do requests, and MAN do we get that one a lot. But to say that Skynyrd couldn't match Neil Young's talent? Neither the guys in Skynyrd or Nel were all that skilled on their instruments, but they were all good songwriters. I don't like LS, but I have a friend who lives for them so I've heard like their whole discography - and I have to say I've never heard a song that I would call "filler". And at least they could carry a guitar melody - I hate when Neil solos.

Lynati> I'm so sorry to hear about your kitten. That's a real shame.

Re: garg biology - I'm in, provisionally, as long as I'm not en route to Macedonia. I'll send you a few notes, Yggdrasil, once I have a spare minute. This morning some of us are meeting with the federal Secretary of State for Public Health, so I gotta get ready for that.

Sweet Home Alabama: Lord, I hate that song. Hate it. First of all, a chap potshot at Neil Young, whose talent Lynyrd Skynyrd could never hope to equal in a hundred thousand years, but second of all...well, I'm sure Alabama's a very nice place and all, but the trouble with it - as is the trouble for so many places - is that it's just not a part of the Maritimes. Clearly the Lynyrd Skynyrd song is just overcompensation for the regrettable fact that Alabama is not a province on Canada's east coast. So I offer this humble improvement. With apologies to the people of Alabama - but most assuredly no apologies to Lynyrd Skynyrd -

Drivin’ down past the Minas Basin,
Three-fifty toll through Cobequid,
Maritime Noon on the radio phone-in,
Lord I'm glad I’m a Bluenose kid,

Well I heard Stephen Harper’s got his Tories,
Sayin’ we’ve got a culture of defeat,
I wouldn’t talk, he’s from Alberta,
And the eastward view looks pretty sweet,
Yes indeed,

Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Where Lunenburg’s rocks are so blue,
Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Well I’m comin’ home to you,

Well Yarmouth-town’s got a kick-ass ferry,
And the Bras d’Or lakes steal breath away,
And as for the city lights of Halifax,
Well, it’s my home now, and here I’ll stay,
That’s all I need say.

Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
L’Evangeline – ah, mon Dieu!
Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Oh, I’m comin’ home to you,

Well, I’ve been as far out as Vancouver,
And even through a State or two,
But they just don’t match up with Nova Scotia,
From the Cabot Trail to the Fundy view,
Well, you know it’s true.

Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Where the Truro line runs straight and true,
Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Well, I’m comin’ home to you,

Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
(Forget Alabama, man)
Where the oceans roll, and the music’s true,
Sweet home, Nova Scotia,
Well I’m comin’ home to you…

I guess I need to put lots more work into coming up with a plausible April Fool's Day Joke.

I made a flan today . . and it turned out very good. Not bad for my 1st try.

Fire Storm - <I tested .htaccess by renaming it and trying the secure area (no password prompt), then I put it back.> Very, very interesting. <You know, given that no one here believes a word I say, I COULD post the whole thing in here and no one would pay attention> I've wondered the same time about people ignoring what I post about 99% of the time. <<They're thinking about not letting every staff member be able to post stories. Granted, that'll be another password for someone to forget. > Hmm... then I am thinking that every staff member shouldn’t even be allowed to have access to the secure area.> Too many cooks spoil the broth and an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It would be easier to have access to that feature restricted now than to have to go back and put a password on it later.

One of them was called the "BFTS RP", which happenned to have your truely as a contributor. I've made it a joke about getting an anime series based on that RP. <sorry for the i guess this is now a tripple post but i am not used to my new tracball mouse> It took me about a week to get used to my 1st trackball, then another week when I bought a new pc and a new ergonomic trackball (definitely a right-handed one).

Had some fun wiring today. I probably should have switched the wire nut when I noticed it was cracked and saved myself from having to take it all apart again.

Lain> <<if by "good" you mean "complete and utter geek">>: That's what I mean when I say it.

Ed> <<I don't really know what Inu Yasha is>>: An anime based on dog demons and other suchlike from fuedal Japan.

Fire Storm> <<given that no one here believes a word I say, I COULD post the whole thing in here and no one would pay attention>>: Depends on how much outrage you get from people who do know what will be happening and look at your post.
<<Unless the tentacles happen to ME>>: I bet he'd understand if something else blocked the traffic.
<<which never does because I am a member of their guild>>: Unless you ask for it, of course.
<<Not the same, not the same>>: No, but you have to take what you can get with those tempermental Elder Gods.
<<I think I am closer to giving my 1 millionth kid to them than the first>>: Then promise a nice round numbered one.
<<Or via some breach of the global variables rule>>: The global thing is just that pet/post values aren't automatically put into php variables, not that variables get remember across pages.
<<VIVA LA GOURMET>>: As long as I can still get a good burger. Hardcore Gourmets can't make good burgers.
<<What good is the Internet if it can't give me the fetish info I want?>>: Boring referfence material? And fansubs/scanlations.
<<I mean, just remove the stuff about topics>>: Ooh, cleaning up the references... Or it might not be so bad if only one topic is hardcoded as a replacement.
<<I simply refuse to explain art to you>>: Hah, I bet you still think Duchamp's Nude Descending, No. 2 a Staircase is really An Explosion at a Shingle Factory.
<<Use a hammer!>>: Reboot it! Rebooting being the computer equivalent of a hammer, of course.
<<It's still .htaccess and the password is .htpasswd in /home/tgs/conf >>: That would be my problem. I knew nothing about those files.
<<The password is simply encripted>>: It'd be extraordinarially silly not to. Though I'm surprised that the reference I read implied an external tool was needed to do the encryption.

Brutis> <<u said i was a little crazy>>: I'm mad, you're mad, we're all mad. Though please take the time to spell correctly, you do have plenty of time here.
<<y dont you discuss why the diffrent members of the same clan dont speek with the same heavy or light accents>>: That's not quite biology. Linguistics (or psychology if you want a more major subject).

pheniox flame erupts and then dies leaving me in its place to yawn at the young night.

yall are never going to guess what happened to me today... give up no it was not somethig happy. my freking car was stolen today, i am so mad i could scream ... ahhhhhhhhhhhh
filed a police report and i hope to hear from them sometime in the next week. ugggggghhhhhhhh

annie <> no i am 18 NO OFFENSE MENT but i thought you would know i was older than young i mean like older than 13 or 14 when i spoke and do speak of my owning a car.
the only reason i am using a pic of brooklyn hatchling is because i am only a few weeks onto this particular cr so i wanted to use a reference to my being a newbie.
eventually i will use a grown up immage i was thinking of using the one of brooklyn with the pheniox gate in the background.
somone please tell me if anyone already has dibs on it so i wont be taking it away from anyone else k.

Annie<> i am currently reading the Timedancer series it is so far my favorite. i say that because Brooklyn is my absouute favorite carecter in the whole show there is something about the way that he was always collected and uses his brain but never very calm. i thend to be just like him most of the time save for the fact that he turns to stone during the day. and i just love the way he looks with the supportless wings and the beak and horns. i think that is just the coolest thing. i have my laptop plastered with pics and sound events of... u guessed it Brooklyn

Gside<> u said i was a little crazy... well i will be the first to admit that i am a little off my nut. i actually belive that there are gargoyles lurking on rooftops and in the forest but they do not wish to show themsleves for whatever reason they might have but i would to go on a serch (not hunt for that would only be the wrong thing to say or do for your favorite creatrues (( real or animated))) for them to find proof that they actually exsist.
( hey some people belive in aleans, the yeti, and that george bush is not an ass )

Annie <> as far as the accents go i have no idea y the younger ones IE Goliath and the trio ect dont have a strong accent and even thinking on the matter y dont Angela and the clan on Avalon have strong scottish accents
after all they were raised around the scottish accents IE Cathren, Tom, and the Magus. i am guessing that it is just the way that they arcitulate the words when they say them that they dont sound right to themsleves so they say it the way that it sounds right to them.

Yggdrasil<> you were asking about questions for the biology discussion well this isnt really biological but y dont you discuss why the diffrent members of the same clan dont speek with the same heavy or light accents as some of the other members of even the humans they were raised around.

Fire storm <> dont worry i tend to do the same. since i am remodeling my kitchen i have been spending more time at Lowes and Home Depot and the ever popular Wal Mart, than i have been spending even in my bed at night. just email me when u get a chance. i think that yahoo is up and running again at least properly as it ever was or will for that matter. i just didnt want to go to in depth the other day till i was shure that i had the right email addy and that you had recived the last message. i would have felt really stoupid sending it to some guy in japan who would make billions off my idea and i would be left holding the proverbial bag.

well i think i am going to sign off for now. _- i lean back to yawn letting my hair touch the floor_-
see yall later "Deflagrate mourie tempie et intervalia"
pheniox flame engulfs me and takes me away.

Though I have no idea about the hair (don't pay that close of attention), I have an idea as to the accents. Hudson would have a strong scottish accent because he's spent most of his life in Scottland. He is old, and when you're old, whatever you grew up aroud accent wise is what you will have. As for goliath and the rest of the clan, they are still relatively young and so they would be more impressionable to the culture, and accents, of thier new surroundings. make any sence?

Ed: No, he didn't get far enough to see any of the lesbian stuff. That's planned for a few seasons past what was posted. After all, it'll take time for us to degrade S&P to the point that we can actually show the Demona/Fox/Brianna/Sarah Jasper/Chiang Yun femslash scenario that Mooncat wrote for us. Since she was brought on staff, Mooncat has really moved TGS in a whole new direction. The project was lacking something, and with her help I think we've finally found our feet.

lain: btw, production on my own cat has now been completed. The finished product is quite entertaining, but we need to wait a few days to make sure the model doesn't malfunction.

Now, me and my chemical respirator have a date with a gallon set of 40-grade brush-on polyrubber and the sculpture of the head of a certain gargoyle...so I'll see y'alls later. I should be back around 11:30 or so, for any phone calls that may come in around then.

The song... *shudder*. As a member of a band that does a lot of classic rock covers, I am SICK of this song. SICK of it! I guess it's good, but GAH! ...Sorry.
But thanks for setting me up. I was going to ask about music, too. In a gargoyles CR, there HAVE to be some fantasy metal fans. I mean with songs like "Gargoyles: Angels of Darkness," and a whole concept (story) album in which the main force of evil is Sekhmet, it clicks with Gargs pretty well.

Ok, since there is a lot of talk of what was revealed, I shall post some of the text of what was revealed:

Demona... is... in love with... Andrea Calhoun
it is... revealed... that... Elisa... is... dying
a... War... between... humans and gargoyles
the... death... of... one of... the clan

(note: The words above may NOT be in order, nor are they necessarly from the same story... or season... or even the same series. But ALL of the words WERE in the outline. That part is true. The order has been changed to make it funnier)

Gside: I saw some Catholic girls today and my first thought was “Great. Just great. I don’t need this today.” I was out with friends and I just KNEW that the tentacle monsters were going to show up and make me late for work.

<Too bad she didn't hit the limit before Traveller.>
Are you SURE that he was first?
<They're infamous for another reason. >
Yeah, he is.
<They're thinking about not letting every staff member be able to post stories. Granted, that'll be another password for someone to forget. >
Hmm... then I am thinking that every staff member shouldn’t even be allowed to have access to the secure area. If we implement PHP security, then the staff login page doesn’t even have to be in the secure area.
<Remember, the bacon would have to be crispy. Chewy bacon is just wrong>
Chewy bacon is unconstitutional!
<I can see someone walking on someone else's breasts having many pages out there, but I'd say the implants in someone's feet would drive the rarity through the roof. >
Not so sure... I think that if you do a search on “walking” and “Breast implants”, you could find a few pages related to our little topic
<Yeah, but one of the things I like about this place is the lack of topic separation.>
I am thinking of one like this place (no topic separation) but with user registration

Ed: <I suggest "Bob". Or maybe "Steve".>
Na. Bob is for digital art and there isn’t enough orange in it for it to be called Steve.
It’s more of a “Loss of childlike innocence by the glowing moonlight” to me.

Todd> I suspect King Arthur's been excised from current Grail fiction because the myth still has a long way to go before it's considered a mature fantasy. Much of Arthurian legend is still considered kids stuff. While Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings have made great strides in legitmizing fantasy some elements are still slated for kids than for a general audience. (I'm still waiting for a decent movie about dragons!)

I think the religious element can be problematic, but a deft talent can navigate the mind field. In the Da Vinci code, the puzzles and the pacing kept my interest. I didn't see it as any more sacriligious than Dogma. Thought the book's ending was a bit cheesy.

Hey, happy birthday! A bunch of people will now start bitching to you about how "being a teenager sucks," but overall I found the teen years to be pretty cool, so have fun with 'em. Just get ready for all your friends to be really whiny for the next 5 years or so. :)

So all the TGS plans were spilled onto the 'net? They can't have been up for very long though, or everyone would be complaining about Lexington's death and the plot entitled "Shocka! Grame's horror at love rat Lucy's affair with Arianna!"

Battle Beast: I suggest "Bob". Or maybe "Steve".

***ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT ALERT***

I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

Did THAT get your attention?

I have a painting that needs a name, but for the life of me, I can't think of one. So, I have a small contest going on. I need a name for my painting.

SIMPLY go to www.geocities.com/oscarmovs/pic.html to view the painting, and clicky the link below to name it. SIMPLE?

I will narrow it down to a top three, and then choose.

Thanks everyone and GOODLUCK!!

That is all I will say.

Hey Gang, I need some help. There's this thing going on in August, you may have heard Patrick mention it, The Gathering? Yeah, fans get together for a weekend of bonding and merriment and hanging out with Greg Weisman, Thom Adcox and others who worked on Gargoyles. Well, here's the thing, I need some Volunteers. Folks that will help out by acting as Hosts and Hostesses for various venues like the Art Show, Video Room, ConSuite, who if they can keep cool and speak French, work a couple of hours at the Registration Desk, you know, stuff like that. I also need a couple of people for Very Special Assignments: Deputy Art Show Director and Auction Coordinator.

If you've got at least two hours (or more) you'd be willing to donate to the Gathering would you drop me a line?

volunteer AT gatheringofthegargoyles.com or if you have as hard a time typing that as I do, then kapogge AT yahoo.com .

Thanks!

Damien> <<your just jealous 'cause i look good in a dress>>: And I am a sexy, sexy man in whatever I wear, but especially in high heels, suspendies, and a bra.

Question> <<what exact rules did I break again to earn this?>>: Oddly enough, there's no specific rule forbidding TGS secrets, even though everyone granted access to them is sworn to secrecy.
<<I don't have any mad haxxoring skills>>: Excatly why I was confused.

Yggdrasil> <<Really, what do you want to have covered?>>: Areas where garg bio would have to differ from mundane bio for things to work (stone sleep, how wings attach/work, where the extra power comes from). Ooh, I just thought of an extra reason to have heel/elbow spurs: an added extension from further tendon placement for extra torque. It'd be really nice to help shove fingers or toes into hard sufaces.

Fire Storm> <<If only Ch'thulu would rise for my wedding... Oh well>>: You could always get a betentacled mask for the priest.
<<Just wait until we start the seating>>: I wish you a minimal amount of "I'm not speaking to her because of what she said about our Jason."
<<The skillz in question were Google>>: I heard it was random directory searching.
<<in the beginning, LM DID make posts so long that they could not be posted and had to be broken into two or more parts>>: Too bad she didn't hit the limit before Traveller.
<<And don't forget Doug//Lisa>>: They're infamous for another reason.
<<I mean, the pages ARE in the secure section>>: They're thinking about not letting every staff member be able to post stories. Granted, that'll be another password for someone to forget.
<<Let me check my notes>>: Remember, the bacon would have to be crispy. Chewy bacon is just wrong.
<<I fear I could already find a page on that out there>>: I can see someone walking on someone else's breasts having many pages out there, but I'd say the implants in someone's feet would drive the rarity through the roof.
<<I am starting to wonder if a board that required user certification by an admin would be a good idea>>: Yeah, but one of the things I like about this place is the lack of topic separation.

Patrick: server crash was due to malfunction. the "banning" and room being re-cleared was due to some Troll finding some "plans" for a couple seasons of TGS and posting them in the CR, I suppose to convince the TGS staff not to bother finishing those projects. The server and the banning are separate issues, they just occured within a close time frame.

VINNIE - I know that people believe what they want to, but I'm still curious as to why they want to divorce the Grail from the Arthurian cycle (something which even "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" did - the three knights who find the Grail in it are from the Crusades rather than from the Round Table). One possibility, of course, is that it comes from the Grail being taken up permanently to Heaven in Malory - which would obviously not fit the desires of anybody wanting to construct a "crackpot" theory about the Grail which portrays it as still being around.

GRAYMONK - Good anecdote. Incidentally, in case anybody's wondering, "J.R.R." stands for "John Ronald Reuel".

SPIKE - Incidentally, the Banshee's "death-worm" form was officially called the "Cromm-Cruach", named after an actual Irish death-god - and this same Cromm-Cruach was also the figure whom Crom, the god worshipped by Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian, was named after. (Howard generally borrowed all of his names from ancient history and legend.)

TALEWEAVER - I haven't read "The Da Vinci Code", but I've heard about it, and understand that its take on the Grail was based on that theory in "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" about the Grail really being the descendants of Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene (which, naturally, the TGS staff wasn't about to touch with a thirty-nine-and-a-half-foot pole - and even the folks who wrote that book have decided that they were wrong about that one recently). One thing that I've noticed is that a lot of these modern-day "Grail investigation" stories (both fiction and ostensibly non-fiction) ignore the Arthurian connections to the Grail, making an occasional brief mention about how the knights of the Round Table going on a quest for it but saying nothing more after that, and focusing exclusively on the Grail's links to early Christianity. Ironic, since in the first mentions of the Grail in Arthurian legend, it wasn't connected to Jesus or the Last Supper.

It's been awhile. I just finished reading "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. (An interesting read, though I'd wait until it is in paperback) but the subject of the book was the Holy Grail. Wow, it looks so spacious here!

Andrea nice kitty stories! I swear cats are devious and often like to torment people. My cat, Em, was quite acrobatic in trees. She loved them She would sometimes come down or up the tree backwards...very funny to watch. She didn't need any catnip haha.

Em is getting old but back in the younger years, she would get up ontop of the van and 'pretend' she was stuck. Then dad (he wouldn't notice Em on the roof) started up the car and backed outof th edriveway. EM began meowing like hell and was quite loud. Dad stopped the car and tried to get EM down but she attacked him. Mom came out on the scene and EM attacked mom. Then mom desparately begged for me to call her or something. EM wouldn't hope and licked her paw as if to say, "Nope I'm stayign put." We all gave up and let her get off on her own. The van is half out on th eroad and a cat sunnign herself on the roof. Dad had to go to work very soon. So we ignored her for 20 minutes. Em fell asleep. Dad got fed up and beeped the horn so loud, Em jumped up and slide down the windshield hidden from view. From that day on, she never trusted dad and a car together. Haha.

What can you do with a world without cats? :)

Ok... so we got sidetracked tonight.

Sheesh... who would have though that combining pages would be so time consuming (Ok... THAT, and LM and I started talking about the wedding's guest list. That only took, what, 3-4 hours?)

I'll see what I can do at work tonight.

I JUST remembered...I have 2 new cat stories to tell...Both about Cleo (the whacky Kitten).

On teh way home about 10 days ago for break, my mom told me that letley, she has the of droping Mousy (the name for all her toy catnip mice, of which we have like 20 of) in the toilet...why, we have NO clue...once they got "smart" and closed the lid, she's drop him in the sink...stupid cat.

But here's the kicker...My friend and I were going out to lunch last Tuesday. She came to pick me up, and I called Cleo to see if she wanted in before we left (since she was out). My friend asked if that was her as she pointed to the backyard...i looked, and sure enough there was Cleo...

The stupid cat was stuck 30 FT up in a tree (the neighbor's cat was at the base, so that's liekly why Cleo ran up the tree). My friend, myself, and my sister (whom I went inside to tell, and to get my camera) tried for an HOUR to get her down using a ladder a few ft too short, and even used some string and a basket to swing up to get her to jump into. Since she wasnt moving, werdecided to "punish" her by leaving her up there for a bit, and my friend and I went out.

I didn't return until like 5 hours later. Cleo was fine. Turns out, after we left, my sis went into the shower, and when she got out, Cleo was on the deck...and less than 30 minutes since we left her had passed, and NO ONE else was around to "rescuse" her...I was beyond pissed at her...if it has been a bit before she got the guts to climb down, I would have "understood", but we tried for an HOUR to get her down...only to have her come down on ehr OWN shortly after...but, was SHE in a HELL of a lot of trouble...

I never actually THOUGHT I'd ever see a cat stuck in a tree (seemed more a TV thing to happen), let alone one of our own...but my sis and I have have it immortilized on film!

He's gone for now. We have blocked him from the firewall.

That effectivly blocks him from the majority of the fandom.

You are welcome.

Who knew that my returning post would immediately precede the latest downtime? Seemed like the problem started at the DNS level this time.

(Also, I'll remove the offending posts first, 'k?)

Dog, I am pathetic.

Here I sit, alone, at work, and when I SHOULD be filing my paperwork, I am here refreshing my screen and saving the CR every few minutes.

Pathetic, I know.

...

Oh, BTW... first. May it last...
